CLEAR the ROAD

just make sure you aren’t the one standing in your way.

When energy gets stagnant and what you’ve been waiting on is taking much longer than it should, “clearing out” energy road blocks is a great way to reboot your momentum. Prior to this process, I highly recommend some self reflection.

Sometimes there isn’t anyone or anything in your way but your own emotional blocks or outdated thought processes. Are you more committed to the same routine than reimagining your daily experience? Maybe it means getting out of the house earlier or maybe it means wrestling with that new computer program you paid a bunch of money for but haven’t prioritized it yet.

How about finally getting that new hair style that is against the conventional rules. Freeing yourself from fear of failure or fear of rejection has been the most important step for me while working towards a huge goal. Routines are beneficial and very necessary for developing any sort of “Large Scale” project but the can also cause stagnation and leave you in a rut.

Make a list of what you think is standing in your way? Is it the lack of something?

Money, the lack of investment capital or resources are often times what we blame as the problem for not being able to move forward.

Ask yourself:

if I had all the money I needed in my hand/bank what would be my next 3 steps towards my goals? Those 3 steps are what you should be planning and preparing in anticipation for your goals being accomplished.

Maybe you are waiting for people to support you. I can relate to this. My solution has been to begin to do as much as I can without them in silence.

I do feel a sense of accomplishment for moving forward without help, but this time, what I desire requires a consensus of a community and this community has been resistant to my solutions.

So what do I do? 👸🏾🤔 Some people want the old way because it felt familiar and complaining feels good. Others want a new way but don’t want to be inconvenienced and required to “change” in order to fix the core problems. Some only want to change the aesthetics of the system so that it appears to be fixed, a facade of sorts, but just under the surface the “septic tank” is full and eminent disaster is looming.

The thing is, I know and want to develop a plan, strategy and invest in fixing the core issues, problems and reimagine the aesthetic however, I am not the one who has to “dig in the dirt.”

I recognize this is a place of privilege.

However, if those who are the diggers and builders don’t participate in the design solution process… it’s likely we’ll just repeat cycles and end up back in this same position a few years later… maybe in worse condition or set of circumstances.

So, I share my high level perspective on here to offer a bit of transparency to what I’m going through so that you, the reader, can apply it at will to your own experience and/or possibly support me in my quest for equitable ecosystems that have an evolutionary methodology baked into it. We don’t have to wait for catastrophe in order to come together.

I think I will begin articulating job descriptions of the roles I need filled and maybe that will clear the airwaves of angst and confusion. I don’t like to waste my time doing tasks that result in dead ends… so balancing “work” and “self starting initiatives” is my current energy. Enjoy the warm weather 🌞

The sun still lingers in it's prison of limbo, an eerily quiet twilight. She can feel the morning dew in the air, a sprinkling mist that sends a creeping chill throughout her petite frame. She watches the scene begin to unfold before her, her glacial hues wide with a buzzing excitement. It's rare for her to return to a crime scene, a risk she need not take, however her short time in this shit hole of a city has seemed to render events that have piqued her interest in ways she hadn't expected. It was like watching little worker ants march along, working in record time to seal off the area from the growing collective of nosy civilians. Watching them roll out the crime scene tape had to be one of her favorite parts. Once the vibrant neon yellow made its appearance, the energy in the air always shifted. Confusion and curiosity was quick to change into something a little more ominous, it struck fear in them. and OH HOW SHE LOVED IT.

She makes her way over to the crowd, jogging in place as if it were part of a natural routine for her. She mutters along with others, "Oh no, what could've happened? That poor guy. So much blood." everyone so worried, yet she had known how others had felt about this man. Dirty looks and whispered insults. He wasn't a cherished citizen of the city. He was nothing but a petty drug dealer with a love for manipulating and assaulting inebriated women. he was scum. yet like most victims on her list, there was always a sense of pity and pain felt for them after their untimely demise. Humans were sick.

This was not why she made an appearance though, it was for a 'WHO'. and he was bound to show up any moment, now that the grunts had cleared the path for the big boys to take the lead, and sure enough, like clock work, there he was. Pulling up and stepping out. The tall, hazel eyed, handsome detective that unfortunately got stuck with this confusing trail of cold cases. She had to admit, he was doing his best, but what could any mere mortal man do when stuck with these vicious and demented cases. No fingerprints, no witnesses, and for some odd reason never a single working camera in the vicinity of the crime. how odd. she smiles to herself, fawning over the detective like some school girl with a crush.

What was her plan again? not a clue. This was spontaneity at it's finest. She maneuvers through the crowd, pushing forward with a faux sense of physical imbalance. she falls forward, her phone in hand slipping perfectly across the concrete and under the fluorescent yellow tape. She falls to the ground and winces, holding onto her ankle. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I-I didn't mean to- oh my god, I didn't fuck up evidence or anything did I?" ice blue orbs look up at the male, a sense of fear in her features. She knows she's far from any of the bloodied body, all left inside of the piss riddled alley about twenty or so feet away.

She makes an attempt to stand, but falls back down, wincing once again. "I don't think I can stand." she frowns, "wait-" plush pale lips pull up at their corners, "Xavier right?- We ran into each other the other morning while jogging?" Two days ago to be exact, "I dropped my phone in the storm drain, and you got it out for me?" a reason to collect his fingerprints, just in case. Then there was her intentional run in at the diner down the street from his apartment, the diner he picked up most of his meals from. "I'd say are ya stalkin' me, but it would seem I might be the one actually stalkin' you." she laughs, though speaking mostly truth "Oh shit...definitely not the time to be flirting with the cop guy at a crime scene, huh? Dumb Rose, I'm sorry I uh-" she looks up to an older lady standing behind her judging her interaction with the detective with a snide look on her face, "I'll get Helen...Agnes or whatever here to help me up. You go do your cop thing...maybe we'll run into each other again."

' Trust is earned, at least, that is what I have been taught,' and the rumbling response carries determination, and resolve in the deep tone. Regarding the human then fully, the statements that follow are uttered with care, words weighed carefully before speaking them.

' You have my word I will be earnest and cooperative with you. Can you offer me the same? And before you give your answer you should know my faith in humanity as a whole, and your government in particular has been worn down to near extinction.
