Info-kun's Backstory + the Son of Sonoko Sakanoue

I can't draw because my phone broke so here is a snippet is based on my yansim fanfic "Victoria and the Two" on AO3!

Some spoilers in case you haven't read chapter 8 yet: Chishiki Ito is info-kun, Yua Ito is the investigative journalist here in case you're still confused about that . I wrote this short story because I wanted to explore the Backstory of info-chan/info-kun in Yandere Simulator. The canon Backstory is already superb but ( fuck Yandere Dev ) I thought of enhancing his character arc on Victoria and the Two. Of course this isn't the story where he becomes evil as fuck, but this is his upbringing

Ten-year-old Shinichi Tanaka sat quietly beside his mother, Sonoko Sakanoue-Tanaka, in the somber atmosphere of the funeral. They were there to pay their respects to Chisaki Ito, the wife of Yua Ito, who had been Sonoko's mentor during her high school years.

The small gathering was mostly made up of Chisaki's friends and family, who cast resentful glances at Yua as he sobbed uncontrollably by his wife's coffin. Sonoko's heart ached for her old mentor, knowing the pain he must be going through.

Sonoko gently placed her hand on Yua's shoulder, offering him a reassuring smile. "Yua, I'm so sorry for your loss. Chisaki was a wonderful woman, and she will be deeply missed."

Yua's eyes were filled with tears as he looked up at Sonoko, his voice trembling with emotion. "Thank you, Sonoko. I don't know how I'll go on without her."

"You don't have to go through this alone," Sonoko said softly, her heart aching for her former mentor. "We're here for you, Yua. Whatever you need, just ask."

Yua nodded gratefully, but as Sonoko returned the infant to him, he hesitated. His hands trembled as he reached out, but he couldn't bring himself to take the child. "I'm sorry, Sonoko," he whispered, his voice choked with emotion. "I need a moment."

Sonoko's heart went out to Yua as he excused himself, leaving her standing there with the baby in her arms. She sighed softly, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on her.

Turning to her son, Shinichi, she saw the concern in his eyes. "What's going on, Mom? Is everything okay?"

Sonoko forced a smile, trying to ease the worry in Shinichi's gaze. "Everything's fine, Shinichi. Yua just needed a moment alone."

Shinichi nodded, his expression thoughtful as he looked down at the infant in his arms. "What's his name, Mom?"

Sonoko's smile softened as she reached out to stroke the baby's cheek. "His name is Chishiki."

Shinichi's eyes widened in surprise. "Chishiki? That's an unusual name."

Sonoko turned to her son, a solemn expression on her face. "Could you hold Chishiki for a moment? I need to have an adult conversation with Yua."

Shinichi nodded without hesitation, his arms already reaching out to take the infant from her. He cradled Chishiki close to his chest, feeling a surge of protectiveness wash over him.

"I'll take care of him, Mom," Shinichi promised, his voice steady and determined. "You can count on me."

Sonoko smiled gratefully, leaning in to kiss Shinichi's forehead. "Thank you, my dear. I'll be back soon."

With that, Sonoko turned and made her way towards Yua, leaving Shinichi standing there with Chishiki in his arms. As he watched his mother go, Shinichi felt a sense of responsibility settle over him. He held Chishiki close, determined to protect him with everything he had.

As he rocked the baby gently, Shinichi couldn't help but feel a rush of affection for the little boy in his arms. Chishiki stirred slightly, his tiny fingers curling around Shinichi's thumb. It was a simple gesture, but it warmed Shinichi's heart.

"Hey there, little guy," Shinichi murmured softly, pressing a gentle kiss to Chishiki's forehead. "Don't worry, I've got you. I'll keep you safe until Mom comes back."

Chishiki let out a soft coo, as if in response to Shinichi's words. Shinichi settled into one of the pews, cradling Chishiki in his arms. The church was quiet, the soft light filtering through the stained glass windows casting a warm glow over them. As he rocked back and forth, Shinichi began to tell Chishiki stories.

He told him about the adventures of a brave knight and his loyal steed, about far-off lands and mystical creatures. Chishiki listened intently, his eyes wide with wonder. Shinichi's heart swelled with affection for the little boy in his arms, and for a moment, he forgot about everything else.

But all too soon, Sonoko and Yua returned. As Sonoko approached, Shinichi felt a pang of sadness. He knew it was time to give Chishiki back to his father.

Reluctantly, Shinichi handed Chishiki back to Sonoko, feeling a sense of loss as he watched them leave. Sonoko placed a hand on his shoulder, giving him a reassuring smile.

"You'll see him again, Shinichi," she said softly. "I promise."

Shinichi nodded, his heart heavy. He knew that Chishiki belonged with his father, but he couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness now that he was gone.

As he watched Chishiki and Yua leave the church, Shinichi felt a sense of determination. He would keep his promise to protect Chishiki, no matter what. And he knew that somehow, someday, they would be reunited.

For ten long years, Shinichi did not see Chishiki. Life moved forward relentlessly. At twenty years old, Shinichi was now in his second year of criminology, driven by a desire to be just like his mother.

His days were filled with lectures, assignments, and late-night study sessions, but he relished every moment, knowing that he was working towards a brighter future.

In the midst of his studies, Shinichi found solace in the arms of Chihiro Riritake, the love of his life. Their relationship had blossomed over the years, growing stronger with each passing day. Together, they made the decision to become independent of their parents, eager to carve out a life of their own.

They settled into a small apartment in Kodaka City, a quaint space that they could call their own. It was modest but cozy, filled with laughter, love, and the promise of a future together.

One evening, as the soft glow of the lamp illuminated their cozy living room, Shinichi sat at the table, engrossed in his criminology textbooks. Across from him, Chihiro poured over her English literature assignments, her passion for teaching shining through in her diligent work.

The peaceful atmosphere was suddenly interrupted by the ringing of Shinichi's phone. Startled, both Shinichi and Chihiro looked up, their attention drawn to the unexpected interruption. Shinichi glanced at the caller ID and recognized his mother's number.

"Hello?" Shinichi answered, his voice filled with curiosity.

"Shinichi, it's Mom," came Sonoko's voice from the other end. "I have something important to tell you."

Chihiro watched Shinichi intently, sensing the seriousness of the call. She remained silent, giving him space to listen to his mother's words.

Shinichi nodded, his mind already racing with thoughts of what could be happening. He turned to Chihiro, who was watching him with a mix of concern and curiosity.

"Mom wants us to go to Akatsuka City as soon as possible," Shinichi explained, his voice tinged with urgency. "She didn't say much, but it sounds serious."

Chihiro's expression mirrored his concern, and without hesitation, she set aside her work, placing a bookmark in her book. She grabbed her purse and coat, ready to accompany Shinichi on this unexpected journey.

Together, they hurried out of their apartment, locking the door behind them. The night air was crisp and cool, the streets of Kodaka City quiet as they made their way to the train station.

As they boarded the train to Akatsuka City, Shinichi's mind raced with a thousand possibilities as the train sped towards Akatsuka City. His criminology training kicked in, analyzing every potential scenario. Did his father get into an accident? Was their home broken into? His thoughts spiraled, each possibility more distressing than the last.

Chihiro noticed the turmoil in Shinichi's eyes and gently squeezed his hand, pulling him back to the present. "Hey," she said softly, "whatever it is, we'll face it together. We'll figure it out, okay?"

Shinichi felt a wave of gratitude wash over him. With Chihiro by his side, he felt a sense of calm and reassurance. He took a deep breath, allowing her words to soothe his racing thoughts.

Once they arrived at Akatsuka Station, Shinichi and Chihiro navigated through the bustling crowds, their steps quickening with each passing moment. They were eager to reach their destination and uncover the reason behind Sonoko's urgent call.

Shinichi's heart pounded in his chest as he rushed into his parents' home, his mind still racing with worry. But instead of chaos, he was met with a scene that stopped him in his tracks.

There, sitting at the dining room table, were his parents, Sonoko and Isshin, along with a red-haired 10-year-old boy. The child's expression was one of trauma, his eyes wide with fear and uncertainty.

Confusion swept over Shinichi as he took in the sight before him. He turned to his mother, his voice filled with urgency. "Mom, what's going on? Is everything alright?"

Sonoko rose from her seat, her eyes filled with a mixture of sadness and concern. "Shinichi, this is Chishiki," she explained quietly. "The same Chishiki that you carried in your arms ten years ago."

Shinichi's heart skipped a beat as he looked at the young boy, his mind reeling with disbelief. Chishiki. The name echoed in his mind, stirring up memories long buried beneath the passage of time.

Chihiro, sensing the tension in the room, approached the boy with a gentle smile. She knelt down beside him, her voice soft and reassuring as she spoke to him in soothing tones.

Meanwhile, Shinichi turned back to his mother, his brow furrowed with concern. "Why is Chishiki here, Mom? And where's Yua?"

Sonoko's voice was laced with sorrow as she explained, "Yua... Yua left the country about a week ago. He... he left Chishiki behind." She paused, . "We only found out when Child Protective Services contacted us. They knew that Chishiki was in good hands with us, considering our history with Yua ."

Shinichi's heart sank at the news. He couldn't fathom how a parent could abandon their child like that. Turning to Chihiro, he saw the compassion in her eyes as she comforted Chishiki, who was still visibly shaken by the turn of events.

Shinichi looked at Sonoko, his mind swirling with a mixture of emotions. "Mom," he began, his voice tinged with uncertainty, "why did you call us over here?"

Sonoko met his gaze with a sense of resignation. "Shinichi, your father and I are both busy with our careers," she explained softly. "We've been trying to juggle everything, but with Chishiki here now... it's become even more challenging."

Shinichi's heart twinged with sympathy as he looked at the exhaustion etched on his mother's face. He knew that she and his dad were doing their best to care for Chishiki, but he also understood the toll it was taking on them.

"I know that you and Chihiro have your own lives to focus on," Sonoko continued, her voice filled with sincerity, "but I also know that you both have big hearts and a strong sense of responsibility. I... I was hoping that you could help us look after Chishiki."

Shinichi's mind raced as he processed his mother's words. He knew that taking care of Chishiki would be a big responsibility, one that would require time, effort, and sacrifice. But he also couldn't ignore the bond he felt with the young boy, the same bond that had formed all those years ago when Chishiki had been just a baby.

Looking at Chihiro, Shinichi saw the determination in her eyes, a reflection of his resolve. Without hesitation, he turned back to his mother and nodded firmly. "Of course, Mom," he said, his voice filled with determination. "We'll do whatever it takes to take care of Chishiki. He's family, after all."

Sonoko's eyes filled with gratitude as she reached out and squeezed Shinichi's hand. "Thank you, Shinichi," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. "Thank you for always being there for us."

As the train rumbled along the tracks back to Kodaka City, Shinichi and Chihiro sat with Chishiki between them. The boy stared out the window, lost in thought, while Chihiro gently tried to engage him in conversation.

"Chishiki," she said softly, her eyes filled with concern, "I noticed you've been eating a lot of convenience store food. Where did you get the money for that?"

Chishiki's eyes flicked to Chihiro's face, then quickly returned to the window. He shrugged, his expression guarded. "I had some money saved up," he mumbled.

Chihiro exchanged a worried glance with Shinichi. The boy's response was evasive, and she couldn't help but wonder where a ten-year-old could have gotten the funds to support himself.

"Well," Chihiro continued, trying to keep her tone light and encouraging, "how about we make something nice for dinner when we get home? Would you like that?"

Chishiki turned to her, his eyes widening in surprise. "You're going to cook for me?" he asked, as if the concept was foreign to him.

"Of course," Chihiro replied with a warm smile. "I love cooking. And Shinichi here says I make the best omurice."

Shinichi grinned and nodded enthusiastically. "She's not lying, Chishiki. Her omurice is amazing. You have to try it."

For the first time since they had met him, a faint smile tugged at Chishiki's lips. "I'd like to try it," he said quietly.

The rest of the train ride passed in a mix of conversation and quiet contemplation. Shinichi and Chihiro told Chishiki about their lives, their studies, and their plans for the future, trying to make him feel as welcome as possible.

When they finally arrived at their small apartment in Kodaka City, the sun was beginning to set. The building was old but cozy, and the apartment itself was filled with the warmth of a place built on love and hard work.

Chihiro immediately set to work in the kitchen, pulling out ingredients and chatting with Chishiki about his favorite foods. Shinichi joined them, helping out where he could and making sure Chishiki felt at home.

As the aroma of cooking filled the air, Chishiki began to relax, his guard slowly coming down. He watched in fascination as Chihiro expertly prepared the omurice, her movements confident and practiced.

"Here you go," she said finally, placing a steaming plate of omurice in front of Chishiki. "I hope you like it."

Chishiki picked up a fork and took a tentative bite. His eyes widened in delight, and he quickly took another. "This is really good," he said, his voice filled with genuine surprise.

Shinichi laughed, ruffling Chishiki's hair. "Told you she was the best."

As they sat around the table, sharing a meal and stories, Shinichi felt a sense of contentment settle over him.

As the evening wore on, Shinichi and Chihiro could see the fatigue setting in for Chishiki. The boy's eyelids grew heavy, and he began to nod off at the table. Chihiro exchanged a gentle smile with Shinichi, and they quietly decided it was time to call it a night.

"Chishiki," Chihiro said softly, placing a hand on his shoulder, "let's get you to bed, okay?"

Chishiki blinked, momentarily confused, but nodded sleepily. Shinichi stood and offered a hand to help him up. "Come on, buddy. We've got a nice, comfy bed for you."

They led Chishiki to the small bedroom they had hastily prepared, a cozy space with a bed neatly made with fresh sheets. The room was simple but welcoming, a safe haven for the young boy who had been through so much.

Chihiro knelt down beside the bed and helped Chishiki settle in, tucking the blanket around him. "If you need anything during the night, just come find us," she said, her voice gentle. "We'll be right in the next room."

Shinichi stood at the doorway, watching the scene with a mixture of tenderness and determination. "That's right," he added. "We're here for you, Chishiki. Always."

Chishiki glanced up at them, his eyes reflecting a mix of emotions. "Thank you," he whispered, his voice barely audible.

Chihiro smiled and leaned down to place a soft kiss on his forehead. "Goodnight, Chishiki."

Shinichi stepped closer and ruffled Chishiki's hair. "Goodnight, kiddo. Sleep well."

They turned off the light and left the door slightly ajar, just enough to let in a sliver of light from the hallway. As they moved to their own room, Chihiro slipped her hand into Shinichi's, giving it a reassuring squeeze.

"He'll be okay," she said softly. "We'll make sure of it."

Shinichi nodded, feeling a surge of gratitude for having Chihiro by his side. "Yeah, we will."

They settled into their own bed, the events of the day swirling in their minds. As they lay there, side by side, they knew that they had taken the first step in building a new family, one founded on love, support, and understanding.

ok i need someone to lay this out for me because im lwk confused :,)

in ch113 we saw a yugi twin as a teacher in the academy in the past

which we all assumed was tsukasa instead of amane, bc of the butterfly effects (amane most likely would’ve died if tsukasa never traded his soul for the red house supernatural).

and then this below kinda proved it..?

but it turned out that in ch115, amane actually became a teacher , because nene sees him in the science prep room (or at least a memory of him bc of all the time colliding things happening)

and it’s fs amane because of the pupils and it’s just obviously amane bc nene recognizes him as hanako.

so then if in this timeline, amane never got sick and ended up becoming a teacher, then he has to be the teacher in ch113 who was watching the tsukasa ritual.

and the actual tsukasa is still a 4 y/o, who ended up taking amane’s place as the supernatural who haunts the school, but we don’t know how yet.

An apparent 17 year old girl in Teru's class who's existed for many many centuries, being the curator of the so called 'akarinashi soba' and holding the lantern with her often. Can change her appearance to look any age. She is terrified of Teru and mostly close to Mitsuki and friendly with Sakura. She writes down the rumours she hears on a notebook and mostly keeps silent.

A 14 year old ghost who died 20 years ago because his mother killed his father after he had an affair with another woman, which Mitsuki ended up walking in on and was murdered alongside his dad. Sticking around the school rooftop because he has a rumour around him saying that if you find him you're lucky, but he tries to avoid everyone even if they can't see him. Only close to Yaso and is scared or Kou and other exorcists.

18 year old kamone high school student and part time exorcist. Comes from the Yosuke clan, a clan that has been close to the Minamotos since the heian period. Childhood friends with Teru, has a little brother and loves to eat. She has hated her work for as long as she has lived and has made a promise with Teru that when they cam they'll live a normal life like any other. Mostly sweet but has a knack for insulting people creatively.

A 13 year old boy whos part of the student council and left the photography club after Mitsuba, who was his friend, died. He's Soraya's younger brother and looks up to her, but is unable to be as strong as her because of his low spiritual power. He can use seals tho. He hangs out mostly with Kou, Yooko, Satou and Kiyomi, but also with Akane and Teru in the student council.

14 year old boy who works as a part time exorcist ever since his dad had to go to the north for work. His mother is an abusive person both physical and emotional but he thinks that she only wants what's best for him and wants to make her happy. Friends with Kou, Sahono, Furite and maybe Teru. He says he hates all supernaturals but couldn't bring himself to exorcise Furite as he was already hurt from Tsukasa, Sahono calls him a hypocrite for that. He's mostly a cold person and struggles to be friendly, though he means well.

A young fox spirit around Hanako's time who Tsukasa used to lure supernaturals to create Mitsuba's body using his limbs. Since Furite is a young kitsune he can regenerate whole limbs, has no hatred towards anyone and thinks everyone has reasons and can be forgiven. Friends with Kiyomi, Sahono and friendly with everyone he talks to, never holds grudges. He's naïve and not very bright, just like a pet.

A 15 year old girl in Nene's class, she comes from a family of shrine maidens and priests with a lot of spiritual power. Her mother died during birth from an apparent curse and Sahono blames herself for it. She's violent and rude, beats up people and acts full of herself but is somewhat kind to her few friends. 14 year old girl in Kou's class, a happy go lucky girl who just wants to be remembered and liked for who she is. She has a strange obsession with supernaturals and wants to see them even if she's a normal human. Forces Kou to tell her all about supernaturals and has a superficial crush on Teru. She's the closest to Aito and Nagaeki as anyone else could be and almost treats them like parents.

A 16 year old boy in Nene's class with exorcist blood. His parents had no spiritual energy so they distanced themselves from the exorcist life and Aito resents them and other exorcists for that, he wishes he could use his power for something. Is very protective of Juna and hates the Minamotos and the Yosukes more than anything. His exorcist power allows him to get stronger and be able to tollerate more physical damage than normal.

16 year old boy forced to dress like a girl because of his parents dissapontment over having a boy. Struggles with suicidal thoughts and summoned Hanako to ask him to make him dissapear. Will die soon, so thats why he can see supernaturals. He's defensive and distant, doesn't have friends and gets bullied often, worsening his mental state. Close to Juna and Aito and Hanako likes to annoy him.

A young supernatural of 15 years who is on love with Nene, jealous of anyone around her and will do anything for her. She is a nudibranchi Who can shapeshift into a human and can change her colours very fast but is always with light blue hair and yellow eyes. She is desperate for Nene's approval and wants to date her. She is usually sweet and with shiny eyes but has a habit of glaring at people near Nene, though she isn't strong enough to do something about it.

A corpse who got possessed by two ghosts and messed up the memory of her life. His appearance changes too, he wears his assigned gendered uniform with a vest on top and a long sleeved shirt under it, he doesn't have bruises and isn't blind from his right eye anymore. He has his natural hair colour and it's shorter.

-Park- Haruka: (That's strange… I'm sure I heard that the location where they were shooting a movie today was supposed to be around here…) Eiji: Eh, are you possibly…Nanami-san? Oh, it's indeed you. Haruka: Eiji-kun…! I'm so glad that I meet with one of the cast members. You see… I'm actually lost right now. Eiji: I see. Then again today's location is a bit secluded so I don't blame you. Eiji: I'm just on my way to go back after having a quick break. If you don't mind shall we go together? Haruka: Really? Thank you so much, you really help me out. Eiji: You're welcome. By the way I've heard the news. You're the one who will be in charge for the soundtracks of this movie right, Nanami-san? Haruka: Ah, yes. As an assistant of my senior composer*, I was given an opportunity to work on this movie. Haruka: It's also the work from this recently popular director too. To be honest I'm feeling so much pressure just working on it… Eiji: It was the same for me too. Although I was happy when I heard the news, sometimes I can't help but wonder if I'm really the right person for the role. Eiji: The original work for this movie was known as a best-selling novel, its story was refreshing, and the role that I'm playing is the love rival which is quite an important role. Eiji: Ever since the filming began, I've been feeling nervous while making sure that I'm not making trouble for everyone. I'm looking forward to be working with you. Eiji: "…I love you. So much that I can't help it." Eiji: "This feeling of mine won't lose to anyone. I'd promise that I will treasure you. That's why…rather than him, I want you to choose me instead." Haruka: ( …Wow. His expression and his voice…all of them perfectly capture all of his feelings. Even though I know it's all just acting it still made my heart beats…) Eiji: "Ah… did your mind slightly waver just now? Of course I noticed, I mean I've been watching you all this time." Eiji: "As long as there is a possibilty no matter how little they are, I won't give up. I'll definitely make you fall in love with me so…be prepared." - Eiji: …Phew. Thank you very much. Haruka: …Eiji-kun, good job! My eyes can't take their eyes off of you. (choices) <I was moved with the gap of your acting!> Haruka: Your face at that time looks so much more different than the usual Eiji-kun. Anyway I was moved with the gap of your acting! Eiji: Oh no, you're exaggerating. But…it was something I tried to do consciously, so I'm glad you noticed that. Eiji: Being able to become someone else is one of the charms of acting itself. <You're shining brightly> Haruka: Just watching you make my heart beats… Eiji-kun, you're shining so brightly. Eiji: T-That much!? Compared to all of my co-stars, I still have a long way to go. I'm always overwhelmed by their actings during our shooting. Eiji: Just like for today, I might be of help to someone else too. This kind of thing really made me happy. Eiji: Especially to everyone in HE★VENS, I want them to always stay healthy and be in their best possible condition. At the very least, this is the only thing that I can do. Haruka: That's not true…! I don't think Eiji-kun's attentiveness is something that everyone else can do. Haruka: And you're also very good at acting too. Seeing you in action really cheered me up and it made me want to try even more harder with my work. Especially during the scene where the main character was staring at the riverー Haruka: That piano solo, right! While it has a gentle and soft melody, yet somehow it felt a little bit melancholic too. Eiji: It was perfect for the scenery as the sun gradually went down. I feel that the music adds color to the world of the movie. Eiji: I'm looking forward to the song that you'll create too. I wonder what kind of color you will add to in the movie that we're working on. Haruka: I'll try to do my best so that my music won't lose to the visual of the movie as well. I mean, Eiji-kun's acting is so good after all. Eiji: That's not true. And besides, I'm the one who always feel like I have to properly prove myself that I'm worthy to sing your brilliant songs. List of Side Questlines

This post will be a quick list + summary of the side quests in the game, organized by the character they revolve around. Note that the simple sidequests which start a Confidant, as well as dedicated side stories for characters, aren't included here, and are instead mentioned in the characters' own info posts.

Side quests are distinct from other activities in that, while they take place in the real world, they don't cost an hourglass (i.e., they don't pass time), while still giving rewards for completion of each part. Some may have additional optional activities available to Wonder periodically that do pass time, but are separate from the actual quest line.

Currently Available Quest Lines

The sports girl (left; name unconfirmed; may be Namie Komatsu) has a side quest revolving around her interest in running. She gets lost easily, so after Wonder helps her out when she gets lost by Kokatsu, she invites him to run with her more often. The side quest also touches on her conflict between her enjoyment of running for fun, versus the added expectations of it now that she's joined her university's team.

The clumsy office worker (right; name unconfirmed; may be Yuta Satou) has a side quest revolving around his struggles at work and with losing things. Wonder initially meets him when he's lost an important USB in Zoshigaya, and Wonder finds it for him. His side quest also often involves another character, who gives him and Wonder advice for dealing with situations in the workplace, and social cues expected there. The player will occasionally have helping him find something pop up as an optional activity that costs an hourglass.

The orange cat (left; name unconfirmed; may be Chata) has a side quest revolving around finding his "hidden treasures", which use the same icon as seed packets. Wonder first meets the cat in Zoshigaya, and sees he's generally treated well by the others in their neighborhood. An old man claims to understand what the cat is "saying", and tells Wonder about the story of how the cat used to rule the various neighborhoods in Tokyo. Wonder gets a part of the story each time he finds the cat's "treasures" in a given neighborhood. The player will occasionally have a smaller treasure hunt pop up as an optional activity that costs an hourglass.

The yakitori vendor (right; name unconfirmed; may be Sumizou) has a side quest revolving around his yakitori stand in Zoshigaya. After a customer suggests it, he tries opening delivery orders, and has Wonder go around Tokyo to deliver them, often learning about the delivery recipients along the way. He's always very happy that people are able to enjoy his yakitori without needing to come directly to his stand.

Anderson's (left) side quest revolves around his gym workouts, but also his unluckiness in love. Wonder helps him out with figuring out what to say on dates, though he also at least in one instance discovers the girl Anderson's meeting is just leading him on. Anderson is very solely focused on muscles, health, and generally aspects that relate to his workout routine, which is part of why he struggles.

The elderly calligraphy teacher (right; tagged as "calligraphy lady"; name unconfirmed, but may be Fumiyo Tosabayashi) has a side quest that revolves around mysterious anonymous letters with brief poems on them that she's been receiving. She suspects they're from a member of her old club in high school, but has to narrow down who specifically. She also teaches Wonder about aspects of traditional Japanese culture to help explain the poems. Notably, the owner of the secondhand shop in Yongen-Jaya is one of the old club members.

The photographer (left; name unconfirmed; may be Rikuto Shimizu) has a side quest revolving around his series of photos focused on the idea of "change". Wonder catches his eye because he noticed Wonder has changed recently, and he takes some pictures of Wonder as well as asking for his opinion on some of his photos. A problem does arise when he unknowingly takes a picture of an idol violating her contract, then accidentally uploads it to his portfolio while going through his pictures, leading to his account getting taken down to avoid a scandal. The player will occasionally have taking photos with him pop up as an optional activity that costs an hourglass.

The music club girl (right; tagged as "music girl"; name unconfirmed, but may be Ritsuka Takanashi) is a member of Kokatsu's music club, and her side quest revolves around helping keep the group together as they work towards becoming a band that can compete in a competition. Wonder is first recruited because they need one more member, and can't find anyone to join, until she runs into him in the hallway. She's usually relatively calm and level-headed, but occasionally has outbursts of excitement where she can't control her volume. The player will often have the rhythm minigame where Wonder practices with the club pop up as an optional activity that costs an hourglass.

The soccer club boy (left; tagged as "soccer boy"; name unconfirmed, but may be Yota Kurosawa) is a member of Kokatsu's soccer team, and his side quest revolves around practicing soccer. Wonder is first recruited because he's struggling to find enough people to keep their soccer team going, due to other students repeatedly dropping out for losing motivation. During his quest line, it's a recurring problem that the rest of the team has no interest or enthusiasm suddenly, so he tries to find ways to keep them going. The player will often have the soccer minigame where Wonder practices against their goalie pop up as an optional activity that costs an hourglass.

The coffee lady (right; name unconfirmed; may be Ena Kageyama) is a coffee barista, who decides to finally take the step to open her own coffee shop after wanting to do so for a while. Wonder helps her out with a troublesome customer at her old job, then helps her scout locations for her shop. She appreciates his point of view from the perspective of a customer.

John Harris (left) is a man from the United States, who still struggles with some aspects of the Japanese language, as well as adjusting to the time difference. He tends to walk around at night when he can't sleep. Wonder knows English well enough to help him out, and assist in communication.

The tour guide (right; name unconfirmed, but may be "Ayumi Ogata") is a woman working in Kichijoji giving tours of the area, though she has a tendency to spin her own stories about locations in an attempt to make the tour more fun, and the locations more memorable, even if the stories aren't exactly true. She appreciates that Wonder understands what she's going for, and asks him to help keep her from taking her stories too far.

Kazuhiko Tsuda (left) is a younger boy who seems to think of himself as something of a detective, and likes to help people out with his reasoning. He thinks that Wonder's viewpoint is useful, and also that he can learn something from him, so he asks Wonder to assist him.

The cat cultist (right; name unconfirmed, but may be "Neiko Takahashi") is the "saint" of a group called the NK Association, which worships a stray cat in Kichijoji. She recruits Wonder to their group, and her quests revolve around initiating him and his duties.

The unlucky businessman (left; name unconfirmed, but may be "Masataka Takeda") runs a company that's at risk of going bankrupt, and is trying to pull it back out of the red, but his bad luck keeps getting in the way. Still, he stays optimistic, and appreciates Wonder's help.

The blonde guy (middle; name unconfirmed, but may be "Tetsunojo Shishida") is a man in Shinjuku.

Shinta Ezaki (right) is a researcher who works in Akihabara, and was first introduced in the Akihabara puzzle event. His side quest will be added in Version 3.2.1.

Other Side Quests

These quest lines were present in one or more beta tests, or have otherwise been indicated to exist, but are not currently available in any form in the official release.

The girl on the left (tagged as "animals girl"; name unconfirmed but may be Hiyori Koide) is attempting to gather donations for some kind of animal rights or something otherwise animal-related, and travels around Tokyo with Wonder doing so.

Shichi-kun, the Shibuya mascot in the middle, welcomes people to Shibuya and has a lot of information about the area, though it seemed he was in some kind of trouble. What was originally his side quest may have become Runa Dogenzaka's Confidant, though this is currently unclear.

Saki Shirai, on the right, works for a Tokyo newspaper. She was first introduced in the Akihabara puzzle event, which confirmed her side quest will be added to the game in the future.

[OOC: Just wanted to try drawing something else before actually getting to the questions. Below "keep reading" is my interpretation of Peppina Ramen and Noise-chan (or should I say "Noise-KUN") if they were in the Sugary Spire universe.]

[Pizzelle-kun is transmasc and goes to a prestigious university that specializes in training patisseries and confectioners in general while Pizzana N. Mochi is a former aspiring chef who, after a squandered opportunity, then decided to instead become an actress for a semi-popular tokusatsu magical girl series despite her mental state.]

[If you're wondering what happened in Pizzelle-kun and Pizzana's childhood, they used to be best friends (with the former often teasing the latter), but then had a falling out after a jealous Pizzelle-kun ruined Pizzana's chances of getting into a culinary school she signed up for by stealing her papers and forging them. A few years later, the two would meet again and, despite everything, Pizzana seems to forgive Pizzelle-kun and even crushes on him a bit (even though he has feelings towards Rosette-kun). So that’s what it’s called! Such an interesting coat pattern, I can safely say I’ve never seen anything like it in cats over here! I assumed they were born fully black and then their extremities got whiter as they age but apparently it’s the opposite: they’re born greyish then their whole bodies darken except their extremities.

The rest of psychology was not that bad in Y/N's opinion. She had asked Oko about his occult book that he started reading halfway through the icebreakers, leading to him rambling for about twenty minutes. The last minutes of class were spent with Oko apologizing for 'wasting her time' and Y/N assuring him it was fine. Long story short, the two exchanged numbers and Oko was very flustered when he left the classroom.

'Amao didn't tell me where to meet him, so I should probably check the cooking club first.'

Y/N gathered up her things quickly, almost stepping out of the room before Mr. Kina called her to his desk.

"Sorry, dear, but I heard you are also new to the school, correct?" The h/c-ette nodded as confirmation. "I was told by the guidance counselor to remind you to get to school early tomorrow for your meeting. Do you know where her office is? If not, I have a map of the school I can give you," the pink haired male smiled at her.

"I appreciate the offer, but I have my own map, thank you." Her teacher hummed in understanding and Y/N took that as her cue to leave. "Have a good day, Mr Kina." She waved and exited the room, knowing Nemesis was following her.

The cooking club was on the first floor and her classroom was on the second. How convenient that it was right next to the staircase she went down. She saw Osano standing right outside one of the doors, him angrily looking at his phone. Right before she opened her mouth to talk to him, his ringtone, a catchy J-pop song, started to play and he rushed off through the hall.

Nemesis walked beside Y/N and glanced at her. "That was certainly strange, wasn't it?" Y/N glared at him in return. The h/c-ette knocked on the closed gray doors, Saki answering the door.

"Oh hey, Y/N! Are you here to join the cooking club?" Her bright smile nearly blinded the aforementioned girl. As Y/N was about to respond, she heard her best friend exclaim her name.

Taeko Yamada swiftly walked up to her, intertwining their hands. "Saki, she's not here to join, Amao said he would give her a tour. I would come with, but I have to walk Hanako home today," the ravenette pouted, sighing dramatically. "I need to make sure that he doesn't get lost. You both know how he is."

"I didn't know you were in the cooking club, Tae." Y/N tilted her head at the thought of Taeko not telling her something as important as that.

"No, I'm not, but Osano is. Sometimes I stay here during club activities so we can walk home together. Speaking of," the ravenette's head poked out of the club doors and turned, her eyes looking for someone. "Where is Osano? I swear he was just out here."

"He left to take a phone call, it seems." Nemesis responded from behind Y/N, Saki jumping at how he suddenly appeared. "If this is the cooking club, why do I only see pastries on the counter?" The girl with teal hair sighed, her cheeks beginning to grow pink at Nemesis speaking to her.

'Hmm. How interesting. I'll have to ask about that later.'

Suddenly, a shout was heard from down the hallway. Nemesis wrapped his arm around Y/N's waist, pulling her into his chest as he stepped back. Hanako Yamada, the disturber of peace, flopped on the floor after trying to tackle-hug a certain h/c-ette. He groaned loudly as his face pressed against the tiles.

"Hanako! Oh my god, are you hurt?" His sister stepped forward and helped the boy up. "Alright, you aren't. But you could've gotten yourself or other people seriously hurt. Luckily Nemesis got Y/N out of the way, or she would've been on the floor with you." Taeko slightly glared at the fact that Nemesis was still holding Y/N, his arm having loosened its hold. Hanako muttered an apology, his face also falling at Y/N and the man behind her.

"Yeah, thanks, Nemesis. My hero." Y/N awkwardly chuckled and stepped away from him, right as the concerned cooking club leader popped out of the room.

Amao Odayaka did not look very pleased at the sight of the four students in the hall. He sighed and beckoned them into the clubroom with a weary smile.

"Can't say I didn't expect Taeko's sibling to already be causing trouble," the brunet chuckled. The first year in question hung his head and trudged into the cooking club.

Y/N followed immediately after, but not before another club room caught her eye. One of the doors wasn't shut properly, showing what looked to be a large pentagram in the middle of the floor, surrounded by unlit candles. 'Must be Oko's club.' She smiled at the thought. The occult club and cooking club being near each other was definitely strange, given the opposing aesthetics.

The cooking club room was entirely pink, it made sense that Osano had joined. Even the utensils and stand mixers were pink. It was almost blinding. All of the members with their either bright or pastel colors fit in perfectly. And then there was Nemesis, who was scowling and squinting at the whole room, not trying to hide his disdain for the interior decorating.

The members were all sitting at a table (pink, of course, are you seeing a theme here?) and sharing what looked to be a tray of calamari. There were only two girls, including Saki, which Y/N found to be odd. 'Isn't Amao Odayaka one of Akademi's golden boys? Don't a lot of girls like him?' She was brought out of her thoughts when a black haired girl waved at her and smiled.

"So, Y/N, these are all the members besides Osano and Raibaru Fumetsu. Kokona was in the club last year, but she preferred drama club, sadly." Saki wrapped her arm around Y/N's shoulders, a grin stretching from ear to ear. "I know you could choose something else, but I think it would be nice if you joined. Right Ajia?" Saki's eyes fell onto the same ravenette that waved.

"Oh, me? Yes, it would be cool to have another girl around. I am only a first year, though, so I don't know if I have any say." The girl sheepishly smiled and looked back at her plate, fingers fiddling with her utensils. "Would you like any octodogs? We just made them." Y/N's eyebrows furrowed in confusion, looking at Saki to explain.

"Right, you don't know what those are." Ajia murmured an apology, Y/N waving it off. "They're just hotdogs we cut into the shape of octopi." The h/c-ette glanced at Nemesis, who subtly shook his head. She politely declined and moved out from her place under Saki's arm.

Amao cleared his throat from where he was leaning against the counter. "We better get going if we want to see the whole school before club time ends." He bit his lip, the corners of his lips turning upwards. 'That's ho-', Y/N's thought was interrupted by a ginger barging into the room.

"Y/N, you're still here! Now I can show you around." He was panting, probably having run around the school looking for her. The other club members glanced between the two, smirking. Amao quietly protested that he, in fact, already said he was going to.

"It could be a group thing," Taeko smiled. "Hanako still doesn't know his way either so we can all go." She looked around at her friends in question, Y/N agreeing. Osano glared lightly at the male with brown hair but sighed and reluctantly nodded. Hanako grabbed Y/N's hand and began to drag her out of the room.

"Yeah, I'm sure they could tell due to the sign right next to the door." Osano rolled his eyes at Amao, who, in turn, huffed and faced away from the ginger. Taeko and Hanako warily glanced over while Nemesis and Y/N didn't try to hide their stares.

The group hadn't gotten far - they were still on the first floor - since Osano kept bickering with both Amao and Nemesis (even though the latter hadn't said a word). Luckily, the brunet tried his best to keep the party going and they had made it fully down one of the hallways. Taeko steered the group into the courtyard.

"Oh, and here's where Taeko reads, like a dork." The ginger scoffed and put his hands on his hips, glaring at the aforementioned girl. Y/N nervously laughed and placed her hand on Taeko's shoulder.

"I think it's nice that she's an academic. It makes her more pleasant to talk to, unlike some people."

'Oh my god, did the sweet baker boy just throw shade? What is happening right now?'

Taeko smiled and appreciatively nodded at Amao. "I quite like reading. Osano, you only read what's required, which is why you don't like it." Osano made a few noncommittal noises but ended up slouching and walking away, the others following behind him. "He gave up because it's true," the ravenette whispered to Y/N, the two giggling.

"I heard that!"

The tour, in Y/N's opinion, started to get boring once they got halfway through the second floor, after passing by the martial arts club. But the tour went on. Nothing had particularly interested Y/N. She could join the science club like her mother had, but what if the members didn't like her? She already cooked at home, so there was no need to do it as an extracurricular. Sewing, art, music, drama, occult, and photography. Wait... photography?

Finally on the third floor, Y/N stared at the closed doors in front of her while the others walked past the club, not bothering to explain. There were people in it, she could hear them. Her curiosity got the best of her and she knocked.

"Y/N? What are you doing?" Hanako skipped over to her and beamed. His black eyes fell upon the sign as he mouthed the words. "Oh! I didn't know you were interested in photography!"

She wasn't interested in photography. Prior to moving, she had exchanged emails with Megamo Saikou and he had told her to be wary of this club in particular. While, of course, they were only normal students, they were far too adamant about finding out the supposed murderer's identity. There had only been one corpse found on campus. Toga Tabara, found near the dumpsters, head split open, shoes left by the railing on the roof. People outside Akademi assumed he committed suicide. The students knew better. Toga, a boy so concerned about his future that he joined every club, wouldn't give it all up. The photography club, being their perceptive selves, decided to ditch being lazy and get on top of that supposed case. Due to them investigating, Megamo didn't want Y/N to slip up and have the club find out that they were to be married. Coincidentally, Info had told her the same thing about them.

'How strange that a lone hacker and the heir to a tech company could have the exact same opinion on a group of students. Disregarding the fact that Info used to be a student here, it's too close.'

A blond male answered the door, knocking Y/N out of her thoughts. Hanako had completely changed his stance and the others were now closer, meaning it took a moment for this guy to answer the door.

"Sorry, we aren't accepting new members. I hope you understand." The boy's pale blue eyes stared into Y/N's. She raised an eyebrow and tilted her head.

"Oh, is it because it's the beginning of the year? Other clubs are taking in new people." She knew why they didn't want new members, but she wanted to hear his excuse.

"No, we are just choosing to stay as a group of five. We work the best that way." Before Y/N could get another word, he closed the door. She sighed and looked at her fellow students. Amao shrugged, as did Osano. Taeko just scratched her neck and laughed nervously.

"It's probably nothing personal. Maybe they're just in a bad mood. It is only the first day, after all." Hanako nodded along with his sister's statements.

"They're losers, anyway. You're too good for them, n/n." Osano's cheeks grew a few shades of pink upon realizing what he said. "Platonically, of course, not that I needed to say that, since it's obvious that I would-" The ginger was cut off by Amao placing his hand over the other boy's mouth and shaking his head while chuckling.

"Stop rambling and let's continue the tour, shall we?"
