In the current epidemic of rich Western women who cannot “choose” to eat, we see the continuation of an older, poorer tradition of women’s relation to food. Modern Western female dieting descends from a long history. Women have always had to eat differently from men: less and worse. In Hellenistic Rome, reports classicist Sarah B. Pomeroy, boys were rationed sixteen measures of meal to twelve measures allotted to girls. In medieval France, according to historian John Boswell, women received two thirds of the grain allocated to men. Throughout history, when there is only so much to eat, women get little, or none: A common explanation among anthropologists for female infanticide is that food shortage provokes it. According to UN publications, where hunger goes, women meet it first: In Bangladesh and Botswana, female infants die more frequently than male, and girls are more often malnourished, because they are given smaller portions. In Turkey, India, Pakistan, North Africa, and the Middle East, men get the lion’s share of what food there is, regardless of women’s caloric needs. “It is not the caloric value of work which is represented in the patterns of food consumption” of men in relation to women in North Africa, “nor is it a question of physiological needs…. Rather these patterns tend to guarantee priority rights to the ‘important’ members of society, that is, adult men.” In Morocco, if women are guests, “they will swear they have eaten already” or that they are not hungry. “Small girls soon learn to offer their share to visitors, to refuse meat and deny hunger.” A North African woman described by anthropologist Vanessa Mahler assured her fellow diners that “she preferred bones to meat.” Men, however, Mahler reports, “are supposed to be exempt from facing scarcity which is shared out among women and children.”
“Third World countries provide examples of undernourished female and well-nourished male children, where what food there is goes to the boys of the family,” a UN report testifies. Two thirds of women in Asia, half of all women in Africa, and a sixth of Latin American women are anemic—through lack of food. Fifty percent more Nepali women than men go blind from lack of food. Cross-culturally, men receive hot meals, more protein, and the first helpings of a dish, while women eat the cooling leftovers, often having to use deceit and cunning to get enough to eat. “Moreover, what food they do receive is consistently less nutritious.”
This pattern is not restricted to the Third World: Most Western women alive today can recall versions of it at their mothers’ or grandmothers’ table: British miners’ wives eating the grease-soaked bread left over after their husbands had eaten the meat; Italian and Jewish wives taking the part of the bird no one else would want.
These patterns of behavior are standard in the affluent West today, perpetuated by the culture of female caloric self-deprivation. A generation ago, the justification for this traditional apportioning shifted: Women still went without, ate leftovers, hoarded food, used deceit to get it—but blamed themselves. Our mothers still exiled themselves from the family circle that was eating cake with silver cutlery off Wedgwood china, and we would come upon them in the kitchen, furtively devouring the remains. The traditional pattern was cloaked in modern shame, but otherwise changed little. Weight control became its rationale once natural inferiority went out of fashion.

This mother's day. Remembering all the mothers who didn't want to become mothers but had to go through coerced pregnancies for centuries. All the teen girl children who were denied abortions and were forced to carry children of their m@le rapists. All the mothers who suffer immense trauma during and after childbirth, and thus disassociated themselves from their babies and at times, wanted to k!ll their own infants because no one understood their pain. Mothers who perform extreme domestic and emotional labour for their babies but never get anything in return except for patriarchal glorification and romanticization, so that they continue sacrificing their lives when they don't want to
Mothers who lost their children because of m@le supremacist custody laws. Mothers who are raped by their own sons. Mothers who are violated by their husbands while they are pregnant. Mothers whose health was compromised because everyone prioritized their babies' health only. Mothers who are accused of being selfish for prioritizing themselves when they are entitled to it. Mothers who are Gods, who create us all but the insignificant father gets to take complete control over the children.
Surrogate mothers, whose wombs are exploited as privileged folks oppress them via mass commodification of their bodies and their capability of giving birth. Mothers who kill their m@le partners for abusing their daughters. Mothers who are shamed for breast feeding and showing their pregnant bellies in public. Mothers who are the natural protectors, because every cell of her body gives life and strength to her children. Mothers who give away their food and utility shares to their children and survive on crumbles.
Mothers of P@l3st!ne who are suffering alone and have lifelong traumas, as they are carrying the dead bodies of their children daily, made to go through c-sections without anaesthesia and are giving birth with no aid, relief, food and water. Mothers of Congo losing their children to mine exploitation daily. Mothers of Sudan being abused by Ar@b militia m3n. Mothers of Yemen, Syria, Lebanon. Mothers of Iran mourning their daughters' lost lives after their abuse by the m@le supremacist I$lam!c regime. Mothers of Afghanistan whose daughters can't study and who can't move around the country without the permission of a m@le guardian.
Mothers in South Asia forced to go through multiple pregnancies because their in-laws want a son. Mothers in Sindh and Punjab suffering fistulas. Mothers in India, Pakistan and China made to see the murder of their new born infants because their babies are females. Black and Hispanic mothers in US denied abortions and facing medical misogyny. Indigenous mothers fighting to protect their lands. All the refugee mothers of war and climate change displaced with no homes. Mothers in garment factories of Bangladesh making clothes of the whole world in abusive working conditions. Mothers who are called misogynist derogatory labels of "uterus havers" and "menstruators", when only females can be mothers and no m@le can ever be.
Animal mothers being brutalized in the meat and animal industry. Mother cows, chickens, goats, sheeps and pigs abused for irregular and exploitative meat and milk production. Mother orcas fighting elites to protect their children. Mother dolphins mourning the deaths of their children due to m@le created pollution in the ocean. Every animal mother finding it difficult to survive and keep her children safe as m@les ruin the goddess Earth's natural ecosystems daily.
Also, motherhood is not a monolith, mothers are not angels and don't have to be. While, mothers are divinely great there are mothers with internalized misogyny, who further make their daughters suffer the same misogynist traumas. Mothers who sell their daughters into prostitution and arranged marriages, and continue being strongest foot soldiers and secondary agents of patriarchy. Mothers who brutalize their daughters with fgm and breast ironing. Mothers who deny food to their daughters.
Mothers are the Creators, the Gods who have faced oppression by the m@n's world for centuries. The whole world of m3n will shatter without the labour of these Gods. You can love or hate your mother as a daughter based on the relationship you have with her
Happy mothers day to the creators of all human beings!!!

In the 19th century, British colonists faced several challenges in India, [...] [including] malaria. [...] The imperialists needed an answer to the problem and they found it in quinine. [...] [T]he British promptly embraced quinine, consuming tonnes of it every year by the mid-1800s. [...] Quinine was so bitter that soldiers and officials began mixing the powder with soda and sugar, unwittingly giving birth to “tonic water”. [...] [I]t prompted Winston Churchill to once proclaim, “The gin and tonic has saved more Englishmen’s lives, and minds, than all the doctors in the Empire.” [...] If by some good fortune malaria did not claim them, plague, cholera, dysentery, enteric fever, hepatitis or the unforgiving sun could. Preserving and protecting the body was [...] crucial to the success of the colonial project. As historian EM Collingham aptly summarised in her study, “The British experience of India was intensely physical.”
One way the colonists tried to deal with this challenge was through food and drinks. “The association between food and the maintenance of health was a concern of Anglo-Indian doctors, dieticians and the British authorities throughout the duration of colonial rule [...],” writes Sam Goodman in Unpalatable Truths: Food and Drink as Medicine in Colonial British India. [...]
---
The Medical Gazette, for instance, recommended treating dysentery with a “low diet” comprising thin chicken soup [...]. Botanist-physician George Watt too extolled the virtues of sago. In A Dictionary of the Economic Products of India (1893), he wrote that sago is “easily digestible and wholly destitute of irritating properties” and in demand [...]. For fever, weakness and sundry ailments, beef tea [...] was considered an ideal remedy. And for cholera, The Seamen’s New Medical Guide (1842) prescribed brandy during the worst of the sickness and half a tumbler of mulled wine with toasted bread and castor oil [...]. Ship masters and pantrymen would stock their vessels with foods with known medicinal benefits such as sago, arrowroot, lime juice, desiccated milk and condensed milk (the iconic Anglo Swiss Condensed Milk tins, later known as Milkmaid, enjoyed a permanent spot on British ships).
---
Businessmen too recognised the precarity of life abroad and realised that therein lay a perfect commercial opportunity. By the 19th century, numerous companies had cropped up across Europe, including in England, that would sell food in hermetically sealed tin containers.
One of these was Messrs Brand & Co. Recommended highly in Culinary Jottings for Madras by Colonel Robert Kenney-Herbert, Messrs Brand & Co had several offerings [...]: essence of beef, concentrated beef tea, beef tea jelly, meat lozenges, [...] potted meat, York and game pie, and A1 sauce [...]. Another company, John Moir & Sons, focused mostly on canned soups [...], selling oxtail, turtle, giblet and hare.
---
By the late 19th century such was the popularity of canned foods that rare would be the pantry in a colonial home that didn’t store them along with medical provisions like opium, quinine, chlorodyne and Fowler’s solution (an arsenic compound). [...] As Flora Steele and Grace Gardiner wrote in The Complete Indian Housekeeper and Cook, “A good mistress will remember the breadwinner requires blood-forming nourishment, and the children whose constitutions are being built up day by day, sickly or healthy, according to the food given them; and bear in mind the fact that in India, especially, half the comfort of life depends on clean, wholesome, digestible food.”
To assist the British woman in this ostensible duty, there were a number of cookbooks and housekeeping manuals [...]. The Englishwoman in India, for instance, published in 1864 under the pseudonym A Lady Resident, had a whole section with recipes for “infants and invalids”. These included carrot pap cooked into a congee with arrowroot [...] and toast water (well-toasted bread soaked in water). Steele and Gardiner too had a few recipe recommendations [...], including champagne jelly (“most useful in excessive vomiting”) and the dangerous-sounding Cannibal Broth (beef essence), which they said should be consumed with cream [...] to treat extreme debility and typhoid. [...]
---
One dish born of this encounter was the pish pash. The pish pash is considered an invention of the colonial cook, who adapted the kedgeree – the colonial cousin of khichdi – into a light nursery food. The famous Hobson-Jobson defined it as “a slop of rice soup with small pieces of meat” [...]. None other than Warren Hastings, the first governor-general of Bengal, gave confirmation of its efficacy when in 1784 he wrote to his wife from the sick bed [...]. There are enough records to show that the imperialists counted marh (starch water from cooked rice) and bael (wood apple) sherbet among their go-to remedies and benefited from the medicinal qualities of chiretta water and ajwain-infused water.

01 How did you meet part2
Characters: Guevara, Musashi, Tokugawa, SPEC, Dorian, Yanagi, Oliva
JUN GUEVARA
Tumblr media
You don't know what's wrong with you, but you decide to take a trip to a middle-of-nowhere island in Central America before you graduate, despite everyone around you trying to dissuade you from going to an island with a black travel alert, but with the spirit of John Chau's ※ traveling to North Sentinel Island, India in an attempt to convert the tribe to Christianity, you went on the cruise
(※Note: John Allen Chau was an American Evangelical Christian missionary who was killed by the Sentinelese, a self-isolated uncontacted people, after illegally traveling to North Sentinel Island, India in an attempt to convert the tribe to Christianity.)
Although your end is not as tragic as that of John Chau, but it can also be described by the word "tragedy".
First, on a cruise to this island nation, you and your fellow passengers are robbed by pirates. You're in your room, working on your graduation thesis in psychology, and all of a sudden, your door is kicked in and men with rifles are yelling at you to bring out your valuables.
"Take whatever you want, but please don't bother me to study." You said coldly. You've been impatient with study, and now you've had a robbery that makes you even more unpleasant.
"Stop talking shit, take out all your money!" said the big guy who took the lead, still pointing his gun at you threateningly.
You laughed, and the laughter was pleasant, but the tone was light mockery, not so much a mockery of them as it was your own mockery of yourself.
"Anyway, my life sucks, and shoot me if you want. I don‘t care." You said, "After so many years of study, so many exams, and so many school debts, I still have to take the qualification exam for a Psychologist. Ah, I really want to die. I would rather die."
How ironic, you think, that psychology students are the ones who need to see a psychiatrist the most.
"Oh my god, are you okay?" he asked. His expression of surprise was masked by a bushy beard that did not fit his infant's face.
When your throat tightened, tears almost came out of your eyes. Yet you hold back your sadness, raise your head, and sniff hard because all the decisions you've made in your life have one goal in mind—not to show weakness.
"I'm fine." you whispered, but your voice didn't sound really fine.
In the end, they feel sorry for you, so they don't rob you. Instead, they comfort you and invite you to dinner on the island, which you also accept without any sense of danger (students lose their minds when they hear about free meals).
The place for the dinner was the house of the big guy with a baby face, whose name was Seth. Seth's wife Jenna has prepared a feast for you and the rest of Seth's pals, filled with local dishes.
To be honest, for you who usually have heavy schoolwork and can only eat fast food, although these dishes are not delicious, they are very delicious. Jenna stuffed your plate with a lot of food, and everything was delicious.
"Y/N, you're a college student, right? What department do you study in college?" Seth was particularly interested.
"Psychology." you replied.
"Then do you know what I'm thinking now?"
"…pardon?"
"Aren‘t you studying psychology?" Seth said. "You must be able to read minds, right?"
"Even though you study Economics doesn't mean you are rich."
Everyone laughed.
When everyone is full, Jenna serves dessert, but you can't eat anything, so you decide to take a walk outside.
You just want to hang around seth's house at first, but as a road idiot(a phrase in the Asian community, it means someone who has no sense in direction), you accidentally come to a beach, seth's house has long disappeared without a trace.
"Damn, road idiot really can't go out alone."
You sigh but decide to sit on the beach for a while before leaving, looking up at Orion, the only constellation you recognize.
The wind whipped up the water, and it looked spectacular. The undulating waves stretch to the far horizon, and the sea appears to be breathing to you. As if it also had a spirit, shifting its paces, whispering softly, patting lightly on the long and narrow lakeshore covered with shiny black pebbles. Except for the sound of the waves blowing across the shore, the water was eerily silent.
But suddenly, you feel water dripping onto your head.
Is it raining?
You look up, and you see a man standing on the headland, peeing, and the urine is still coming at you.
You quickly back away, dodging the yellow liquid.
"You fucking imbecile! Go to the goddamn toilet if you want to excrete!!" you yell at the man on the headland.
The man is taken aback by your sudden shouting, looks down, and puts things back immediately after seeing you.
"Sorry! Didn't see you there!" The man showed an apologetic smile.
"Damn it!" You endured nausea and took off your urine-stained coat and then said to the man, "What's the use of the police if a single word of apology can solve the problem?"
"Then what do you want me to do?" The man scratched the back of his head as if he was troubled.
You think for a while, then answer: "Are you an islander here? Can you take me to the JG Hotel?"
"Okay, but you should change your clothes first. My house is nearby."
"Are you trying to abduct me to your house, kill me and then dismember me?"
"Today is indeed a good day for the dead."
"That doesn’t sound right."
The man shrugged. "I'm fine with that if you don't mind walking around in clothes that smell like urine. And it's a long way from the JG Hotel."
Well, you really don't want to walk around in clothes that smell like urine, and it's really uncomfortable to have wet clothes clinging to your body, so you take the man's offer anyway.
(A/N: Please don’t follow strangers as y/n did.)
You walk to the headland, and that's when you see him for the first time. He was tall and muscular, with fairly strong muscles, which made his clothes look extra small; his thin face made him more prominent with cheekbones and a high nose; his hair was long straight black, about your age.
"Ah, I can tell that you are a beautiful lady just by your voice." he said to you with a smile, every syllable like flirting.
Unfortunately, you don't buy it. "Ah, I can tell that you are a jerk just by your voice." you said bitterly.
"You broke my heart, dear." he said.
"You just pee on me. Do you want me to thank you?"
You two just arguing like this on the way to his home.
"You can't just walk down the street. Let me run some water for you first." With that, he takes you into the bathroom, walks to the bathtub, turns on the faucet, and the hot water gushes into the bathtub. "I'll get you some clothes."
"Why are you still here?" you ask. "Do you want to watch me taking shower?"
He showed a shit-eating grin, "If you don't mind, I can also bath with you."
"Okay, okay, our conversation is over," you said as you pushed him out of the bathroom.
When the bathroom is all alone, you finally take off your clothes, turn off the tap and step into the tub, into the water. When you wash, the water in the tub gets dirty. You put clean water in it to flush your head and face clean. Then you lie there and stare out the bathroom window at the courtyard, enjoying the caresses of the hot water.
The next second, the bathroom door was knocked, and a voice came from outside the door: "I left the bath towels and clothes outside. Come out and get them, I won't look at you."
You said "ok" and waited until he was far away before opening the door to get the bath towel and clothes. You dry yourself from head to toe with a towel, then put on a T-shirt and shorts, but his shorts are too big for you and slip off immediately, so you just don't wear them, and the T-shirt is big enough to cover your upper thighs anyway.
After getting dressed, you walked out of the bathroom, only to find that he had been waiting outside the door for a long time.
As soon as he saw you, he whistled and said with a sly smile, "Wanna hook up? I can send you straight to heaven."
"I can also send you straight to hell ♡!" you said sweetly.
This is how you met Guevara.
MIYAMOTO MUSASHI
Tumblr media
(Musashi: I don’t know. I never think of this question QAQ)
You are the granddaughter of Tokugawa Mitsunari, and you were sent to grandpa's house in Tokyo by your parents during the summer vacation, and you also met Miyamoto Musashi at this time.
When you heard grandpa Tokugawa Mitsunari say that this black-haired man with murderous eyes was Miyamoto Musashi, you laughed out loud, thinking that grandpa was just kidding you.
How could it be, you thought, Miyamoto Musashi was already dead, wasn't he? And the Miyamoto Musashi in your imagination is not like this at all. The Musashi in your mind should be like "Vagabond", not the man who looks slightly like a Ukiyo-style painting.
Until Musashi "slashed" you, of course, he didn't really cut you with a sword, he just made you consciously feel that you were cut. But this is enough to convince you that the person in front of you is Musashi.
"Do you believe it now, brat?" Musashi asked.
"I'm sorry I shouldn't have suspected you, but please don't slash me with your consciousness again." you said.
Musashi nodded, but still "slashed" you.
"You fuc--"
You were stopped by Tokugawa Mitsunari before you could finish. "Y/N, pay attention to your words and deeds, you can't be so rude to your elders."
You puffed out your cheeks and whispered why you were being blamed for no reason.
Tokugawa Mitsunari suggested again: "Instead of complaining here, why don't you walk around with Musashi? You don’t have anything better to do anyway. "
So, you have to take Musashi out for a walk.
"If you do that imitation cut again," you threatened in a low voice, "I'll throw you on the streets of Tokyo."
"I will take you with me."
"Is this the greatest swordsman of the Edo period? No wonder you never had a wife."
"How dare you?!"
"Looks like I hit someone nerve here."
"Forget it, I don't bother arguing with a kid. Can you explain what that is?"
You look in the direction Musashi is pointing, only to see a white-haired man in plain black outfit with sunglasses strutting down the street while eating a crepe.
"That's a handsome guy who looks like Gojo Satoru." you say.
"I mean what he has in his hands."
"That's a crepe. What? You want it?"
"It look like delicious."
So you went to buy a crepe with a pudding flavor, and ate it with relish directly in front of Musashi.
"Who told you to use your imitation cut to me? I won't buy it for you."
Musashi isn't mad about it, but he uses his height advantage to take your crepe and take a bite.
He commented: "This crepe is delicious."
"I'm going to kill you! You crepe thief!" You tiptoed and held up your hands, trying to get your crepe back from him.
As a result, you lost your balance and fell forward, but fortunately Musashi caught you. He hugged your waist and stabilized your body. You're overwhelmed by the sudden intimacy, your cheeks blushing uncontrollably, your heart racing.
Seeing your reaction, Musashi chuckled and said jokingly, "Just a touch makes you so blush, haven't you ever been touched by another man?"
You pushed him away immediately and took a few steps back. "I've had a boyfriend, okay?"
"What do you mean by boyfriend?"
"Uh, it means lovers."
"It's unimaginable! There are people who like arrogant and unreasonable women like you."
"Go to hell."
Then he "slashed" you again.
You really want to kill him (if you have that ability).

𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫: 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐤 & 𝐂𝐮𝐛 ~
𖤓 ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ Sanzo was seated near the bus stop, a frustrated exhale hissing past his lips. One hand cradled the side of his face, the other supporting the small bundle seated in his lap. He was envious of how warm the infant managed to stay, as if heat naturally radiated from the tiny body. He really didn't know what he was doing, only that he needed to reach India with a baby in tow & limited money. He had enough for a bus ticket & maybe some food. That left nothing to sustain his crippling nicotine addiction.
"What the hell...I'm really in over my head here."
He was talking to himself but the baby seemed to listen & understand him to some degree. Sanzo was answered with tiny babbles & a snot bubble from the little guy.
"Yeah, yeah. I know you're hungry," he states while ruffling his ward's shaggy amber hair. He must look ridiculous talking to a baby like this, but their relationship wasn't anything conventional.
"I know you're hungry. I'll get you something to eat once we reach the city."
But first, he has to figure out how to get there.

The annaprashana (Sanskrit: अन्नप्राशन, romanized: annaprāśana), also known as annaprashana vidhi or annaprashanam, is a Hindu rite of passage (Saṃskāra) that marks an infant's first intake of food other than milk. The term annaprashana means 'eating of cooked rice'. In Vedic Hindu culture, the child cannot eat rice until the annaprashana has occurred.[1][2] Importance is given to rice because of its symbolism as a life-sustaining food and a sacred food in the form of kheer. The annaprashana remains an important milestone and the ceremony is celebrated in Nepal and India.[1]

Breastfeeding Myths and Facts: Separating Fiction from Reality
Tumblr media
A wonderful and natural method to nourish your baby is breastfeeding. It gives your baby all the nutrients they need for healthy growth and development. Breastfeeding not only delivers the best nutrition for the infant, but it also has many other advantages for the mother.
Breastfeeding for the baby can help strengthen their immune system, lower their risk of illnesses, and minimise their risk of SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). Additionally, breastfeeding fosters a close link between mother and child by providing safety and comfort to your infant.
Breastfeeding can help moms lose weight, cut their risk of postpartum depression, and lower their risk of developing certain cancers. Additionally, nursing generates hormones that facilitate bonding and relaxation, making it a wonderful method to establish a connection with your child.
Tumblr media
Along with the beautiful journey of breastfeeding, it comes along with lots of myths and misconceptions. Many mothers are not even aware of the reality of these myths.
Breastfeeding is easy: It’s not easy to breastfeed a baby because a mother needs practical support with positioning the baby so that the baby can latch. Breastfeeding takes time and practice for both mothers and babies and is also time intensive, so mothers need space and support at home and work.
Mothers should only eat plain food while breastfeeding: breastfeeding mothers should need to eat a balanced diet. There is no need to change food habits unless the doctor suggests it.
You should separate the newborn baby and mother so that she can take rest: Doctors, nurses, and midwives encourage the practice of skin-to-skin contact immediately after the birth. Bringing the baby to direct contact with the mother helps to establish breastfeeding.
Mothers shouldn’t breastfeed if sick: Mothers can typically continue nursing when unwell, depending on the disease. You must ensure that you receive the proper care and enough rest, good nutrition, and hydration. Often, the antibodies your body produces to combat your sickness or illness will be passed on to your baby, helping him or her to develop their defences.
It’s hard to wean the baby if mothers breastfeed for more than a year: There is evidence that nursing for up to two years is advantageous for both women and children, but there is no proof that stopping breastfeeding beyond one year is more complicated. Since every mother and baby are unique, they must decide jointly how long to nurse.
Breastfeeding is a journey for mothers and babies that is both challenging and rewarding. In today’s generation, too many households believe in such myths and probably there is no one to debunk them. Filaantro along with Child Help Foundation has helped breastfeeding mothers understand the benefits of breastfeeding, the myths, and the facts. The organization has also established 18 Baby Feeding Centres in Pan India at hospitals, temples, and railway stations. Through this initiative, 56,615 beneficiaries have benefitted. Thus, helping mothers with a safe and secure haven to comfortably breastfeed their babies.

How to Prepare and Feed Infant Formula to Baby
Follow below steps to prepare and feed your infant formula safely and correctly.
Step-1: Make sure the formula is not expired and the container is in good condition (no dents, puffy ends, or rust spots).
Step-2: Clean a surface on which to prepare the feed and wash your hands with soap and warm water before preparing bottles. Use a clean bottle during preparation of feed.
Step-3: Boil fresh drinking water and cool it at room temperature. Pour it into a cleaned and sterilized bottle.
Step-4: Use the exact amount of water and formula listed on the instructions of the infant formula container. Always measure the water first and then add the infant formula powder. Never dilute formula by adding extra water. This can make your baby sick. Do not use dented or bulging cans or packages that are leaking.
Step-5: Mix thoroughly by gently shaking or swirling the bottle or bowl.  Dry the outside of the bottle or bowl with a clean or disposable cloth. Take out bottled formula in to bowl and feed the baby with spoon.
Step-6: You do not need to warm infant formula before feeding. If you decide to warm the formula, place the bottle under running warm water or into a bowl of warm water for a few minutes. Avoid getting water into the bottle. This could contaminate the prepared formula. Test the temperature of the formula before feeding it to your baby by putting a few drops on the inside of your wrist. It should feel warm, not hot. Never warm infant formula in a microwave. Microwaving creates hot spots, which can burn your baby’s mouth.
Step-7: After feeding, be sure to thoroughly clean all the utensils before the next use.
Use Quickly or Store Safely
Use prepared infant formula within 1 hour from start of feeding and within 2 hours of preparation.
Throw out any infant formula that’s left in the bowl after feeding your baby. Do not refrigerate it to save for later. The combination of infant formula and your baby’s saliva can cause bacteria to grow.
Tips for Feeding
Watch your baby for signs that he or she is full, and then stop feeding, even if the feed is not empty.
Let your baby take breaks from drinking when he or she seems to want them.
Use bowl and spoon for feeding instead of bottle.
Remember
Hold your baby close when you feed him or her of formula.
Do not force your baby to finish the prepared formula, if your baby is showing signs of fullness.
When Should I Feed My Baby?
Feed your baby when hungry, not at a scheduled time. Every baby is different. Your new baby may need to feed at least eight times in a 24- hour period at first. It is normal for your baby to wake up to feed in the night. Let your baby decide.
How Much to Have at Each Feeding?
Stop feeding when your baby shows signs of being full (see below).
Learn your baby’s hunger signs:
Early signs your baby is hungry:
Makes sucking noises
Searches with an open mouth
Sticks their tongue out and licks
Brings hands to mouth
Restlessness
Don’t wait until your baby cries; crying is a late sign of hunger.
Late signs your baby is hungry:
Fussiness
Crying
Exhaustion
Falls asleep
If your baby is really upset, you may need to calm your baby before feeding.
Signs your baby is full:
Turns head away
Looks settled and relaxed
Closes mouth
Loses interest in feeding
Never force your baby to continue feeding.
How Much Should I Feed My Baby?
Feed your baby according to their appetite by starting the feed at early signs of hunger and stopping the feed at signs of fullness (see above).
Newborns have very small stomachs and may only take very small amounts (less than half an ounce) at each feeding in the first 24 hours.
For the first two days of life a baby’s stomach is only about the size of a cherry; on days three and four a walnut; on days five and six an apricot; and from day seven to two weeks it is about the size of an egg.
Let your baby decide how much to have offer smaller amounts at first; you can offer more if your baby is still hungry. Never force your baby to drink a set amount.
As your baby gets older, they will eat larger amounts at each feeding and may feed less often.
Babies have times when they grow faster than usual (growth spurts). Your baby may become hungrier at these times and need to eat more often, or have more to eat at each feeding.
