Hey there! What’s your favorite episode of Bob’s Burgers that no one ever seems to talk about? (I actually don’t know if I sent you an ask, I REMMEBER trying to find your side blog but couldn’t spell it right 😭)
Lol no worries, this is my first time receiving this ask from you!
My sideblog is @zer0ogravity, but I'm way more active on this account (also I dont think I can receive asks from a sideblog) so sending it here was probably the best choice lol.
Anyway, favorite underrated episode...
I need to rewatch all of these still but I did like "The Show (and Tell) Must Go On" idk it was just very cute and the season 1 callback was nice. Also the B plot was really fun sfsvdg. Overall a really fun easy watch. It also inspired one of my first bobs burgers fics I've written (but haven't posted) it's not finished yet but I wanna finish it soon. It explores Tina and Louise's relationship and it's really important to me <3 one day I'll finish it
Honorary mention to Putts-giving for, while being a pretty weak thanksgiving episode (I often forget its about thanksgiving even though its in the title sgsgdg) it had a very chill plot with a good Tina and Louise plot (gravity falls might"ve made me develop a soft spot for mini golf episodes...)
Okay last one I promise, idk if The Gene and Courtney Show counts, but im gonna mention it anyway cause its sooo cute and it made Courtney one of my favorite side characters, shes so silly i love her <33
Theres a lot more I didnt mention (some of which were already mentioned by other people) but for a show with as many episodes as this one theres always a bunch of episodes that dont end up getting discussed much in favor of other episodes.

tldr: respect eachother.
this is the post i’m referring to. read this first. 🤍
there are a few different topics id like to cover here; before i begin, please know that i am coming wholly from a place of respect and understanding, while also feeling the need to defend my friend. mari (@thatdammchickennugget) is one of the sweetest, full hearted individuals i have had the pleasure of meeting, and she did not deserve to be spoken to like that.
most important; respect.
the fact i even have to reiterate this fact is disheartening in itself, but, please: give respect, get respect. at the heart of this fandom, we are all here for the same reason. to read and write for characters we love. it seems that sometimes, perhaps we forget this fact and we focus too much on the analytics of it all.
i understand the frustration, i too was once a new writer and can promise you the feeling is not lost on me. you are valid for having these feelings, but there is a right and a wrong way to go about it.
there simply has just been too much hate in this fandom lately. there are tensions for all sorts of reasons. shaming and mocking people for making friends and fostering safe spaces is not how this fandom has ever operated. ‘big blogs’ are humans with feelings, the exact same as you, and to immediately assume the reason they aren’t reading or reblogging your fics is because they don’t want to support anyone except their friends is an unfortunate stance to take; given it’s simply not true.
perhaps you may be forgetting that there are real lives behind these screens. lives with traumas and grief and heartache and stress. not actively reblogging every fic we come across doesn’t equate to not wanting to support, it may just simply mean that we’re going through some shit and don’t have the time to read as much as we’d like to.
for new writers, a side note;
if you’re a new writer, you need to assess within yourself why it is you’re writing. there’s going to be low points, topics or themes not as highly sought. low notes do not depict your worth, and to point fingers at others because they’re not supporting you the way you want them to, screams to me, someone who is writing for all the wrong reasons.
interactions and reblogs are so fucking appreciated but shouldn’t be the root of why you are doing what you’re doing. i write for tom more than anyone and his fandom is the smallest aside from blaise. the amount of writers that actively reblog my fics is very very low, and that’s okay. no one owes me or you anything.
i’m going to wrap this up by saying this; over half of my mutuals are small blogs or nonwriters. i have made majority of my mutuals on here by interactions alone, wether it be me searching for fics or them commenting on mine. it’s easy to make friends, it’s easy to find those supports, you just have to reach out.
i will always encourage every single one of you, to send me your fics, to tag me in them, whatever the hell you want to do. it’s hard to be everywhere at once. i have always been loving and welcoming and inclusive to everyone, i know all of you know this. if anyone wants my support, do not ever be afraid to ask it. i will not bite you, i will not ignore you, i will not tell you to get lost.
reach out. i’m here. 🤍

lmao buck didnt ditch tommy last episode, he just made a pit stop before going to spend the night with tommy, like do you think he spent the whole night there? and yeah, this episode, if he does leave tommy to go help eddie, that's what friends do ?? like what do you expect him to do, just ignore his friends life completely falling apart? buck is an adult relationship and adults respect the fact that they arent always going to be no 1 first priority ALL of the time. tommy respects that, especially because eddie is actively in a spiral, and honestly it's really refreshing to see such a healthy depiction of the balance between romantic/platonic relationships. i mean how many times have other couples been interrupted by similar emergencies, this is literally the emergency show like. yeah obviously when there is an emergency, the characters are going to drop everything and go to it. I swear you people have never had adult relationships, romantic or platonic, because you see a normal healthy relationship and are incapable of enjoying it. "not anti bi buck, just anti tommy kinard" not anti bi buck, just anti any relationship buck has with a man that isn't eddie
Tumblr media
wow what did i say?? that was quick!
if you think buck left eddie’s house after hearing eddie say the words “yeah me too” in reference to being worried about him, then you do not know buck at all.
also when have we seen tommy respecting anything with buck? you all live in these made up scenarios that lou blabs on cameo when in reality all we have seen is tommy constantly be dismissive towards buck unless buck is actively paying sole attention to him. that is not a perfect and healthy relationship.
tommy is constantly speaking down to buck, calling him “kid” and refusing to call buck by the name he chose for himself. that is not the sign of someone who cares about buck to me.
as for being against any relationship buck is in with s man…. give me a man who actually shows that he gives a flying fuck about buck. give me a man who isn’t constantly being condescending and rude. give me a man who’s whole backstory wasn’t as a tool to put hen and chimney through hell at the 118. if buck was dating literally any other guy i wouldn’t be anywhere near as fed up with this plotline; but the fact of the matter is we have BARELY seen anything between them that isn’t tommy being a dick to buck unless buck is kissing him. that doesn’t read as a positive and healthy relationship to me. you all claim to care about buck so much, but then actively defend everything tommy does that is rude and condescending to buck as if buck somehow deserves it.
i am capable of enjoying normal healthy adult relationships because i have watched this show for seven years. i have seen these characters drop things for emergencies. i have picked up on the patterns they have laid down in previous storylines. i have experience working in filmmaking and know how to read into things.
normally i look at these asks and laugh because i don’t like to give a platform to people like you who hide begind anon to try and make buddie shippers out to be monsters but the fact that that post hasn’t even been up for ten minutes and you already felt the need to type a whole anon ask about how wrong i am when none of what you’ve pointed out has any canonical evidence of living in the truth? i have to laugh.
the block button is free. filtering out the anti tags is free. if you’re one of my followers…. when have i ever posted anything that would make you think i was pro tommy in any way that got you to follow me in the first place?
since you sent the ask on anon and i have no way of doing it myself, i invite you to go to my page and press the block button… the anti tags exist for a reason and if you don’t wanna see anti tommy content, either filter out the tags or block my blog. simple as that.

Sorry, I'm pissed by ZKs, so I'm here. Thank you so much for creating this space. Really. It's a blessing. I need to swear a lot.
So, some post on tumblr about something related to Zuko. Zuko only. It has literally nothing, zero to do with Katara. At all. Just... ready? It was about his first season hairdo. I like it and I will not apologise for it.
Seems like a good post, I agree with many points, I am happy to find someone who shares my thoughts and expresses them quite nicely.
And then Katara is brought up! Out of the blue!
Is this post tagged "zutara"? Fuck, no, of course! Zutara is not it's main topic, why should it be tagged as such?
Do I immediately find plenty of prozutara and antimaiko posts in "zuko" tag in this person's blog? Fuck, yes, of course! Just as I expected.
(Btw, antimaiko analysis was outright horrible and dumb as fuck - the author just made up some bullshit in their head and treated it as an objective reality; and I'm not even starting on "stating one thing and completely forgetting about it a couple paragraphs later because it would have been in Mai's favor" bullshit here. I used to be a genuine, though silent, maiko and Mai hater, for fuck's sake, but damn, dumb ZKs do an excellent job of making me tolerate, respect and even enjoy these pairing and character in my twisted way. I wonder if they will make me ship maiko eventually. Good job, guys, and fuck you very much. Why can't you be like normal, sane ZK shippers?
Prozutara posts suffered from the same "it's an objective fact, right from my head where I made it up" problem, although sometimes there are some worthy thoughts. But only sometimes. And there were lots of "focus on Z-K interactions only and give them tons of meaning while ignoring or dismissing the same interactions with other characters".)
I HATE it! I blocked the fucking tag, I was so happy, and yet they need to just shove Katara into the topic that is not about her in the slightest because she once said "what's wrong with ponytails, ponytail" (when it wasn't even about her thinking ponytail Zuko is hot or sth like that, at all, it was about Sokka talking of ponytails while having a kinda similar haircut - freaking context, guys, please, it's not that hard)! Do they have zutara diarrhea so it just leaks out of their asses anywhere they go? They just can't hold it, it seems! They just had to bring zutara up! If it wasn't for one tiny remark, I wouldn't have guessed that this person is a crazy ZK. But the point is - they just had to make this remark!
Gosh, that's why I hate zutara. At least they generously set up red flags like this so I can still try to stay far away from them.
Sorry for the long rant and all the swearing. Have a good day.
Damn, anon, how long have you been needing to get that off your chest? XD

Im genuinely really disappointed in Kittycorn for the fact that despite kit's relatively large following, kittycorn has said NOTHING publically about palestine, despite having the power to lead a lot of people to a lot of resources.
“Kit doesn’t have much of an internet presence outside of Sparklecare!!!” Then explain to me why i see so many popular artists who barely share jackshit about their personal lives, not even their pronouns, and yet still reblog and share stuff about Palestine. Kittycorn has literally 0 excuse not to say *anything*.
I'm gonna be so real and say that I'm half-expecting Kittycorn to be like "oh i dont reblog anything about it cuz it makes me sad :-((("
kit could at least like. Draw the Sparklecare characters in support for Palestine. Kit could do the bare fucking minimum here.
Kittycorn has such a large following and a lot of power, whether kit likes it or not. I understand Kittycorn did not want this large following, nor does kit want more of it, but christ can you fucking do something?
I don't know why people aren't talking about this.
holy fucking shit youre right. ive noticed that too but i didnt wanna bring it up because i know that would make me seem "desperate" to "attack kit" or something but yeah. the ONLY thing ive seen kit do to raise awareness is post an announcement with the arab.org link in the comet caring club server. yknow the one that most fans DONT EVEN KNOW ABOUT since its closed off? yeah. no public statement or anything. no tags in any bios, no watermelon emoji, nothing. COMPLETE SILENCE on anything that isnt kits own comic. fucked up, especially since the sparklecare blog is without a doubt kits biggest platform.
there was this fanart of uni holding the palestinian flag and it was really accurate to the official artstyle, i thought it was official when i first saw it. and it had a shit ton of reblogs, including me on my main. i recognized so many names scrolling through the list. but wanna know who i DIDNT see? thats right, the official sparklecare blog. kits either ignoring it completely or actively dancing around the subject, which is NOT GOOD.
i am in no way trying to accuse kneeby or anyone on the sparklecare team of being a zionist, but i would definitely like to highlight the blatant ignorance the official blog has shown. this isnt the only time ive seen kneeby act this way, as kit also has #blm #acab in kits twitter bio but from what ive seen kits done absolutely nothing to actually raise awareness to said causes, which rubs me the wrong way since im black myself. however now kneebys completely avoiding doing anything, not even a hashtag anywhere. just a single announcement in a private discord.
and yes im putting fanart and au tags on this post, people need to notice this. do better.

Getting into the aspec community's anti-love stance more on a personal level cus it's been me rubbing the wrong way for so long.
Society sees love and sex as the same so it doesn't make sense whenever the community acts like the marginalisation of certain types of sex wouldn't have any impact on romance whatsoever. That homophobes hate homosexuality but will give homoromanticism a free pass. There was a whole study, the MacInnis-Hodson study, that showed homophobes admitted they'd still discriminate against gay people if we don't have sex. Homophobes think gay love doesn't exist in two respects; that gayness is inherently sexual so 'love' between the same gender doesn't exist because it's only sexual and that gay love is perverted, sinful because it can involve sex and shouldn't exist. There is no way to be anti gay love that doesn't circle back to this. It's also weird that people unironically think puritans are pro-love if they're anti sex (and spoilers they're not anti-sex they love heterosexual reproduction) like no they're pro-marriage. Pro cishet monogamous marriage to be exact. There isn't a single context where they think gay love is pure. They've banned gay kisses, they've erased gay characters that don't have sex, there's a whole genre of homophobic Netflix where gay characters being physically close to each other is getting scrubbed and sanitised like this idea of pure uwu alloromantic love u lot are talking about doesn't include the gays. It's *never* included us. It also doesn't include Black women because look at the way writers and fandoms fight tooth and nail to avoid making Black women love interests. In fact it doesn't include any marginalised group society says is romantically undesirable.
The most important form of pro-gay love activism I always think of is queer Ghanaians and the anti-LGBTQIA bill that got passed. I can't visit my family in Ghana without being in danger. I either put myself at risk by connecting with my own roots or I never see them and stay 'safe' in the UK (and I use 'safe' in the lightest way possible). I think of queer Ghanaians and other queer Black Africans in the global south navigating the effects of colonialism on top of rampant queerphobia, violence and rape. The conflict of being proud of your Africanness whilst your country is killing you. I think of Angel Maxine and her creation of Love is Our Will and the full version, Kill The Bill Love Is Our Will and how as Ghana's first openly trans musician she's putting her life on the line everytime she sings about gay love. I'm never gonna see that as useless of 'uwu pure love allo things' like fuck no. Fuck that. It's an act of resistance and bravery. So yeah western aspecs giggling about gay love messages being useless when this shit is going on will always be dutty and ignorant to me for this reason.
It feels so weird when I call out amatonormativity and try to centre aroaces as an ace that experiences romantic attraction to have aspecs start shitting on alloaces and non-ace people's romantic attraction in my reblogs like I'm not the alloace and and 'allo queer' in question. I think it's cus people assume I'm aroace too so they feel comfortable saying these things. Or people know I'm not but the idea of being gay and asexual isn't sinking in cus I have a post talking about gay asexuality and people tagged it as aroace instead. Or this is some conditional support cus I cant help but notice the increase in acephobia I'm getting the minute I start focusing on the lesbian side of my asexuality. That aspecs have a bigger issue with the ace lesbian culture blog than they do the Black one.
Yes the 'love is love slogan' has limits, yes love is not the most important part of gay activism but that's literally why we have more than one ffs. You can care about multiple things at once. I'm sorry but if we can see how blatantly reactionary sex loses, don't have gay sex would make a pretty puritan sounding type of activist messaging, that proudly labelling ourselves anti-sex and that supporting sex negativity would sound fucking awful then making fun of gay love activism five seconds after it's giving hypocrisy. Like you lot either genuinely don't know enough gay history of theory so these posts are coming from ignorance or you do know and don't care. And that's worse.
Cus if we were doing up 'fuck love where women are expected to be perfect wives and mothers' 'fuck loving our abusers just because they're family' 'fuck the idea we have to love people unconditionally when they're hurting us' 'fuck the idea romantic love 'fixes' and absolves people for doing morally bad things' 'fuck the idea you have fall in love with the opposite gender/sex only' then i'd be all aboard but no we're (not me tho) making fun of the sexless uwu gays with romantic attraction... just like the rest of society.

Hi blog OP, I don't really know you and just happened to catch this in the tags, so feel free to ignore or delete this if you would rather not further engage with the bitchy anons, but if you don't mind, I have a response: First and foremost, anon, what about yourself? Have you read the entirety of RHATO front to back, every shitty detail and every eye-searing panel of sometimes objectively horrific art?
I have. I'm subjecting myself to it repeatedly and in the long term in a project to write comprehensive meta about it bcs haters like you who are so one-note about the thing and have this agenda to harass people for having different thoughts than you seem to have scared anyone who might have interesting insights into the metaphorical bushes, and, frankly, that bores me. We engage with plenty of other horrific comic arcs with analysis and rewrites to turn badly-done slop with a core element that held actual promise into something Better. Why not this one? Why is this one so fucking taboo we can't even analyze it, discuss what it did wrong and how it could have done better, or acknowledge the rare few things it didn't do half bad (and trust me, when I say rare few, I MEAN Rare)? Who are YOU to try and dictate whether or not others are allowed to do so?
Fandom isn't a monolith. It's not meant to be a monolith. Ships don't have to be canon, they're typically not meant to be canon. Echo chambers stop being fun pretty quickly, you know.
Liking or disliking some portion of comics history isn't inherently moral. In fact, oftentimes a lot of people have far more nuanced opinions like "oh this part was bad, but I liked this one specific thing that they did." Oftentimes, people aren't even financially supporting the slop in question. And it's old enough and the certain type of property that, frankly, even talking about it isn't exactly giving them royalties. There's nothing you could do to support JayRoy or RHATO specifically that supporting nearly any other title in the entire history of DC comics wouldn't do anyways since it's all the same company.
Anon, you didn't even have the balls to leave your icon attached to your message, where's YOUR moral highground? I know comics breed a brand of fans that looove their superiority complexes, & I'm not even going to pretend I'm not one of them, because if I wasn't then I probably wouldn't have dropped in to respond at all.
Learn to curate your own space so you don't have to see content you don't like. And if it's popping up anyways, look at whether or not you're actually doing everything you can TO moderate your own experience. And if you are, and it's truly the fault of, say, a lack of identification, then request that people maybe add something that will allow it to be caught by your moderation, or just block them, or otherwise remove yourself from the space.
Life, and fandom, and especially superheroes, are supposed to be about love, not hate. I'm sorry that you've lost sight of that. I can only hope that one day you'll be happier, and find ways to embrace more joy in your life than you've ever dedicated to cruelty and harassment. I know right now things are pretty rough in a lot of places, and especially in America things feel pretty scary, but that's no excuse to turn on each other.
And, you know, if you or any other actually puts aside your pride enough to read all of this? I hope you have a good day ahead of you. If it's nighttime where you are, then I hope that day is tomorrow, and maybe even every tomorrow after.
Do better.
THIS THIS THIS ^^^
i was not expecting anyone to actually respond to my response and it sure was a Suprise to open my laptop to(not in a bad way)
but that was LITTERALLY what i was ranting to my brothers about, like if you wanted the goddamn attention of a blog whos small enough to read all the asks then you need the attention enough to put your name on it. and i dont know ANY JayRoy shipper whos EVER said they love RHATO, in fact we all HATE IT its objectively bad writing thats a chore to read. i read the first volume and liked it and thought the plot really made sense, but i had a Feaver and was half delirious when i reread it i aged 4 years every panel.
i admire liedownquisition's patients in not only reading that slop multiple times, and writing a project about it, but also just typing this response out, i wish i had that incredible drive and focus, i apricate the response

Welp, since the OP turned off reblogs on the original post:
My original reblog:
Okay, I know RTD has fucked all of this up by using the words "male-presenting" in this way, but male-presenting is NOT a synonym for "looks like a man" or "wear's men's clothing".
Saying that butches could be considered male-presenting is just. flat out wrong. That is not what these terms mean.
You can IDENTIFY yourself as male-presenting or female-presenting. You cannot assign those terms to anyone else, which is one of the major things RTD did wring with this scene!
No one asked the Doctor how hea identifies, everyone just went "well you're played by David Tennant now so you look like a man so that means you're purposefully presenting yourself to the world as male" and that's not how this works! At all!
Trans women not being out or able to socially transition doesn't mean they're male-presenting.
"male-presenting" is not a synonym for "looks like a man" or "assigned male at birth" or "wears mens clothes".
It is not something you get to assign other people, it is strictly a self-identification term, saying that you are choosing to present yourself as male, or masculine, or whatever descriptor is being used.
And I'm not even going to bother getting into the whole "the Doctor was a woman (because Jodie Whittaker had the role) five minutes ago" because again, that's literally not how gender works. Looking like a woman because a woman is playing the character does not equal "the character is a woman now" when it's just been established in this episode that the Doctor is nonbinary.
You can, and should, point out the biological and gender essentialism in this scene. But you shouldn't be ignoring the fact that the Doctor is being misgendered by being assigned male-presenting by people who have not asked, and are literally just deciding that for themselves because they think the Doctor looks like a man.
Do not use "x-presenting" language for other people --including fictional characters, which as we can all see from the fallout from this scene makes people think they can do this to real people-- unless it's something that person self-identifies as.
Calling anyone "male-presenting" or "masculine-presenting" or "female-presenting" or "feminine-presenting" without them first telling you that's how they identify is literally just misgendering people but pretending to be progressive about it.
Which is the most fucking damaging impact of this scene. And I'm getting really tired of having to explain this over and over again when people have been talking about why these terms are not okay to assign to other people for years now. Russel T Davies just came along and fucked it all up by making people think this kind of misgendering is okay when it's not even remotely.
= = =
@daily-sloop-john-b:
Okay, I'm —ing confused.
@rjalkers-polls can you please send me where you're pulling the "presenting" definition from?
And what's the word(s) for referring to that outside shell to which onlookers ascribe a gender?
No animosity meant at all; you seem to have a very specific idea of it's usage, and I'm curious what community it comes from.
= = =
Me:
this isn't a definition you're going to find in any dictionary, because it's not an "official" thing in any way, it's what many trans and nonbinary people have been talking about over the years.
I can link some posts of people talking about it if that'll help.
in no particular order:
September 2023
June 2019
November 2021
December 2021
And there's a whole lot more on my blog but tumblr doesn't want to let me find them at the moment, mostly because I didn't think to create a tag specifically for it.
Try searching any of the variations on tumblr or google.
Before November 25th 2023 you'll find a mix of people using them as self-descriptors, people talking about how it's misgendering to be called it without permission, and a few people assigning them to other people thinking it's okay.
And now after November 25th 2023 you'll see a massive surge in people throwing these terms around willy-nilly in the most absurd and bigoted ways.
The proper way to describe people without assuming and assigning gender to them is to describe them in factual statements. Are they tall? Short? Fat? Thin? Long hair? Short hair? Big chest? medium chest? Flat chest? Light skin? Dark skin? Round face? Angular face? Eye color, ect.
And if you know someone's gender, you can call them by that. A man, a woman, a nonbinary person, an enby, ect. At no point is it necessary or okay to describe them as "x-presenting", because as I say above, that's taking your internal bias and saying it's something they're doing on purpose.
If someone calls me female-presenting because they think I look like a woman, that's misgendering. I'm not presenting myself as female, I'm literally just existing in a body that happens to have boobs, through no fault or choice of my own.
= = =
@walks-the-ages:
Here's a post I reblogged nine years ago that captures the essence of why using “x-presenting” language is misgendering; you’ll notice that the post makes no mention of x-presenting language, because that only really started popping up in the last…. hmm, maybe three or four years? It became a popular way to describe someone whose gender you didn’t know, but was thankfully shot down pretty quick when trans and nonbinary people pointed out this is just a new way of misgendering someone but trying to sound progressive, by looking at someone’s appearance and assuming that what you think they look like (aka, like a man, or like a woman, or androgynous) “must be!” what gender they are.
Tumblr media
[ID: a text post by user Viciere, posted October 31st 2014, that reads: “if somebody wears a dress and copious amounts of makeup and has ass-length pink hair and they say they are a boy you call them a boy gender stereotypes are not an excuse for misgendering someone it doesnt matter what gender you think they “look” like. respect the gender they ARE.” End ID]
If you look at the tags and replies of many of the posts made about the “male presenting” line in the Star Beast, you will find countless, countless trans, nonbinary, and even cis people expressing how they have personally been misgendered by people referring to them as ‘x-presenting’ based purely on their clothes or their physical appearance, which is especially hurtful to trans and nonbinary people who already suffer from negative body image and body dysphoria, especially if they can’t afford or physically cannot safely get top or bottom surgery, wear a packer, or padded bra, or even safely wear a binder.
TL;DR: “X-presenting” language should only be used as a self-identifier, or exclusively for those who have given you express permission to refer to them as such. Using “x-presenting” language for someone you don’t know is the same as misgendering– if you don’t know someone’s gender, just ask :)

Curious since everytime i see your blog you place yourself as some sane anti bullying saint, what exactly is the point of sharing a post by someone solely complaining about who is reblogging their posts, i doubt the wincest tag was used ofcourse, they likely went and checked the blogs and are monitoring reblogs then had to make a declaration of how sick they are bcz someone rebogged the post. Is this not unfandom behaviour? If someone starts whining about interaction best thing to do is ignore ofcourse and they are entitled to say what they want and interact how they want (perhaps shouldn't run such a neutral public poll but whatevs) instead of provoking or sharing but anyways till this point what's your intent of haha so many wincest blogs on that post. Your entire blog is so reactionary as a dean stan and its fandom faction its just so weird to me how your entire stick is complaining about stans. But whatever. It just very much seems like an invitation to bully blogs for reblogging and existing.
Hi. I never intend to cast myself as an "anti bully saint". I try to be thoughtful about what I reblog and post, but I have absolutely come up short before, as we all do. I think we can all try to do better and be more thoughtful all of the time.
I make fun of stans, yes—including at times Dean stans and JA stans (who are very adjacent to my space). I find SPNblr and its many various little segments fascinating to explore in their depravity and complexity and everything. Sometimes SPNblr is hilarious, sometimes it's embarassing, sometimes it's toxic, sometimes it's utterly unhinged. I like to explore it with my telescope and my compass and my map. Regular old Dora the Explorer over here.
Speaking about all our various groups in general and certain elements in them (with no names, no identifying info) is very different from targeting individual specific people and their posts by screenshotting them to mock them behind a person's back in a circle, or sending people hate mail. Wincest shippers have received a lot of hate in the SPNblr space, but that does not make them a protected class who I am not allowed to talk about in a general sense when they Do Things™️. Among some wincest shippers, there is an extreme amount of cognitive dissonance about what exactly some of the other people in the space are like and a naive belief that conduct is always appropriate in that community, and that is simply not true.
All of that said, let me tell you what happened in the christ-figure bracket, because I was there, Gandalf—before OP erased the evidence of what was going on. OP made a single post expressing discomfort, which I thought was funny. I reblogged it because I thought it was funny. It seemed to me based on their tone, that OP was approaching the situation with humor. I may be wrong about that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ However, the reaction to what they said was over the top from some individuals. I think a lot of people didn't see what went on however because OP deleted it pretty fast, but I did see it because it was still there on my first reblog.
In the notes of that post, there were, in fact, several wincest shippers fucking with OP trying to get themselves blocked on purpose. There were 3-4 reblogs with gifs and/or text referencing wincest including something to the effect of, "I hope Sam got Dean to fuck him on Easter Sunday". These things were stated in an attempt to mock and upset the OP and bait a block. I reblogged the same post again talking to my friend in tags, and said, #prev#there were so many wincest shippers on that post when I reblogged it. OP blocked them all now. Pretty funny.#but also sorry op RIP inbox/notifs. When I said that, I did not mean wincest shippers just existing on the post and reblogging things and getting blocked for it. I meant some wincest shippers intentionally trying to upset the OP with what they were adding to the post. By that point, OP had blocked those accounts. Then someone sent OP some fanfiction. I'm not sure if that occurred on the previous post or was DM'd to them. This got Sam kicked out of the christ-figure poll entirely. This is both extremely funny to me, and also I think a deserved outcome for the people who were being Like That™️, who did happen to come from the wincest community.

being intersex doesn't discount anyone's womanhood you are literally just intersexist and transphobic in that you think only dyadic women can be real women. shut the fuck up!
I don’t think dyadic women are the only real women. Sometimes I make posts that are simply responses to popular notions. Such as the fact that every brown woman who doesn’t fit perfectly into ridiculous standards of what a woman is that are based deeply in colonialism and white supremacy are lesser women. Because white trans people like to (usually on accident, it’s just white people being white people) ignore that before gender was used violently against trans people who called themselves trans, it was used against people of color. And to this day, when a woman of color is violated in the name of proving her a woman, people still have to add the little dismissal of her not being a “real” woman because unless she was a white woman, she’d never conform enough to be a true woman.
Being intersex doesn’t negate the fact that you are a woman, but people sure act like it. It’s one of those things that I assume the people who choose to follow me after seeing an untagged, not meant to be reblogged post understand. I’m not making a vent post with a dozen disclaimers that I disagree with every way the world acts. I don’t make a post about how a Latino man breathing wrong means he’s a threat to white women and expect you to take that at face value. I don’t agree with everything I say in vent posts because I’m venting about people thinking like that.
And no, it wasn’t meant to be a perfect description of what happened, or a detailed deconstruction of the bigotry she faced. It was a vent post I didn’t tag or reblog, because I don’t really want people to see it that bad. The people who did like and reblog it understand what it means because they understand that being brown means gender is a tool used to dehumanize and demean you. Or even if that wasn’t their first though, they believe I’m in good enough faith to not actually mean being intersex makes you less of a woman.
I would’ve deleted this ask because you clearly are ready to outright dismiss me, but I believe you’re in good faith because looking at that post, I’m not going to hold it against you for thinking it was some one sentence rebuttal against the situation. That I was seriously saying that her being intersex would make her less than a woman.
I also know you probably won’t believe me, because that’s how the internet works, so blocking or unfollowing is probably what you should do. I definitely have at least double the amount of blogs blocked that I have ever followed and it’s great. Just do it, the only person who will know is you.

I have a lot of thoughts about "rainbow capitalism" and companies selling Pride merch that also fund anti-LGBTQ+ action and canaries in coal mines and the state of online discourse and all that but I'm sick and groggy and this isn't a political blog so I'm just gonna...not? It's not a clear-cut issue to me, in any case. But there is something that I've run across a few times that I do have a clear-cut opinion on, and that's queer youth and the online community.
When people say someone is "too online" or that they need to go outside and talk to "IRL" queer people (like the people in this internet junkyard aren't also people IRL), I wanna beg you to remember that not everyone can do that.
Not everyone is in a position to safely mingle. Not everyone has a Pride event or a queer-friendly space or a safe home life to express their queerness in. Online queer communities are sometimes the only lifeline people have, even in supposedly "free" countries.
You can argue someone's take on an issue, you can disagree on the best way to counteract anti-queer rhetoric and violence, you can avoid the discourse altogether, but you don't get to tell "perpetually online" queer people that their spaces are somehow not legitimate spaces for them to feel comfortable or safe in when those are often the only spaces they have.
Yes, this is a flawed community - so is the offline queer community. That's what happens when you get diverse, intersectional groups of people together with their own stories and lives and opinions. And hey, fun fact? The online queer community is still part of the queer community when they're offline, too - they just often don't have the benefit of being able to enjoy that. We're all just here, queer, and full of fear, whether "here" is the local gay bar or the wlw tag on Tumblr.
The internet is where I first learned the words for who I am that my offline life lacked, even growing up in an incredibly progressive family. It's often the only place queer people - queer kids especially - have where they can feel like themselves. It can save lives.
Maybe instead of responding to online queer discourse with "you're too young and online to know what the truth is, get off tumblr and go talk to some IRL queer folk", you could try not making queer people with no other safe space feel ostracized from their own community. What good does isolating our own people do?
If the choice is between some of our community being among their own in the only place they have and being left behind and feeling alone in a world that's steadily growing more and more hostile towards them, I know which option I'd pick.
"Perpetually online" queer kids expressing an opinion you don't agree with - even one that could be wrong or harmful - isn't "embarrassing", it's an opportunity to be the elder for a change and provide guidance and resources, or possibly even shutting up and listening to them for half a second to see where they're coming from. Maybe they aren't the ones that need to grow the fuck up. Maybe you're the one whose opinion is flawed or harmful or just straight-up bullshit.
Try empathy, I hear it's one of those building blocks of a healthy, cooperative, compassionate society or something.
Anyway, back to being too sick and too exhausted to be argumentative. If you wanna fight me and you think I'm ignoring you, just know I'm too busy hurling my guts up to know you exist.
Happy Pride.

EDIT-AS-I-GO-ALONG-JUSTIFY-ALL-MY-ACTIONS-POst
First started February 10th, 2024 in the middle of the night of course. Although I am 22 years old so I should really be saying-- "it all began 22 years ago when I was born"
Sometimes I write rants that are way too long, and I dont feel like editing or deleting it in full, I'm just going to call this what it is:
A very long diary entry I can come back to later. Its got some good stuff I wont lie to myself. But its also probably incomprehensible at times so ignore it as anything but a very rough rant for now
I also plan to invite new-to-the-site people to read my blog (no doubt being exposed to the horrors within my own blog and past). I'm talking bout people who have probably never typed in the letter T, U, M, B, L, R in a row ever once, and boy howdy are they in for the time of their fucking life
For anyone who is reading this right now, and is worried that they might find something truly scarring to their good christian sensibilities on this site, then I heavily recommend using tags, and content filters before delving further down in the dnd dungeon of my blog, or especially the higher level dungeons on the rest of the site for the first time, where the algorithm will absolutely assume you are ready for the same things the rest of the demographic here wants to see.
(Its a lotta porn. Okay? I'm talking about different unique genres of drawn, or whatever medium of porn mainly. Thats scary to a new person)
So grandma-- buckle up. Jesus take the wheel. Have faith in me & humanity. Its going to be a ride to get there but I truly believe you are capable of it
The whole philosophy I'm preaching is about expanding horizons in a respectful way, so please do so.
With that in mind, in order to prepare any newbies to this site in an engaging and fun way, I had to poke fun in what might be taken in a bad way at the site. I dont mean that. I love this site. I liken my words of preparation to what you might say before bringing your transphobic family into your home full of very queer friends
If you really wanna get mad at me, please do, I love hearing dissenting opinions.-- "Life is full of contractions" as they say.-- But please do so in truly, humanizing, empathically good faith. On every. Single. Post you see. Not just mine of course. Theres a lot more to be said on methodology of public discourse that is a huge part of my philosophy so this post really delves into this
Last thing for now before this post gets even more nitty-gritty:
This is really important, but only for any person who at any point doesn't understand something I'm talking about, and is discouraged by that fact to continue reading up on this philosophy. Don't let that discourage you. I made a perfect science ACT score way back when, and it was all thanks to (and literally nothing else) the simple, but persistent learning skill which is: ignore everything you dont know for now. If you start to notice it happens more than once on something you don't deem irrelevant, than ask questions, but often times people get bogged down by big words, but really do get the gist of an argument. And thats more than enough understanding for a first read. Learning takes many attempts. People learn different materials at different rates and thats a fact
Disclaimer 1: I think the other things counted as number ones but I'm starting here with the numbering
Disclaimer 2: I'm wrong. A lot. I talk with varying degrees of confidence because all language capable humans in existence do that, but literally quantum mechanics--the core principles of our universe as we understand them today-- teaches us that everything acts with a bit of a standard error. Theres no coincidence in the universe why statistics is a field of study.
My standard error is +/-50% on being 50% correct. My point is dont @ me for using an incorrect degree of confidence, because as a trained financial analyst I can attest they are all fucking wrong all the time just like me. However, none of them are wrong about most of the things they say, they simply draw the wrong conclusions most of the time
However, if you believe that the ideals which I, and others like me, are preaching are true than you should in good-faith contribute to making this philosophy more refined, not just be a toxic asshole on the internet. I think most sensible people are past that by now, come on.
I think the last thing I can think to say on this specific point about being wrong (there will always be more to say later), is that a lot of us are inclined, in this world, to only trust things when we've really tested & read into every possible source. And that's for every right reason in the world. But there is no denying that there is gate keeping to science. Huge barriers to entry. Exponentially balooning costs to scientific study. Not to mention just like.. paywalls on every site nowadays. Everyone.
I believe that in this year-of-our-lord-mr-krabs 2024 we need to turn back to philosophy to understand all of our problems, more specifically all of our greviences with capitalism. With the important caveat that we do, in fact, have probably thousands or millions or billions more questions answered than our favorite old philosophers. Fuck yes thats exciting! Because that only makes philosophy today work even better. I think it will help us answer trillions more
Disclaimer 3: I also justify myself. A lot. I'm doing it right now. And now. Every word.
This is an edit at the top after reading over disclaimer 3 once: I think I'm defining justification the same way a scientist thinks of evidence. Also context. It really is just all the same thing. I just needed to add that because I wasnt clear about my definition below
I think as time goes on, people will probably justify themselves more, and more, and more, but while also finding ways to better communicate those justifications in a quicker, more efficient way. Like how encryption and decryption science is a super cool and fast growing study. Kinda cool and star trek if you really think about it far enough
The reason I justify justifying myself is that we have, in fact, learned to encrypt and decrypt many things through our own brains and language. If I say a word that someone else knows, than I save time by not having to jump into every possible nook-and-cranny of explaination. This bit of framing about language being an efficiency/encryption/decryption thing will come back a lot in my writings
I read that over, and told myself: "okay bennet I think you lost the point there" so I need to circle back and say that when we speak we are trying--- desperately -- to find a way to decrypt the crazy encryption that is our thoughts. And because trial and error is effective, we often just jump to saying a bunch of things that have worked in the past, in the hope that the listener will respond with the rewarding joy of 2 people in understanding. A puzzle solved, if you will.
For example, if you engage with my post and I perceive that engagement to be positive, than I will probably, uncontrollabley get a rush of dopamine that cocaine only wishes it could give. You know this is true, because you've felt it too
Disclaimer 3a - mistakes are really cool. I finally know why the Japanese have that thing where they highlight mistakes in a piece. Its about making. It. Memorable. I have a great story example on a post here, but I think most people can agree with my position that its easier to remember when you are wrong-- than right.
What that means-- this is super duper uber wuper sluper important. Things that are memorable are part of the decryption key to language. There is a way that we are all figuring out how to communicate where we utilize what some percieve as mistakes to draw in attention, then listener either remembers the key or has to find it, then both move forward, happy having solved the issue of decrypting a bunch of literally just electricity and sound waves coming from a very real human in front of you. How cool is it that we can apply the framework of humans as puzzle solvers to better communicate our crazy thoughts?
To wrap that up-- this doesnt include all forms of language, of course. But I think its a humanist framework for understanding how we can be more effective communicators.
I read over that whole 3a thing and I already had plenty of questions and dissents for myself. Going to just add for now that if we extend our definition of the word mistake, to include ANYTHING that catches the attention more than expected, than yes, this framework makes more sense.
The next time I read that over I thought I could add that people are drawn by knowledge. Something which isnt new to us just isnt interesting. We know this already, but I'm connecting it to this point.
3b - the fact that I bring up humanist arguments for encouraging memory promoting activities brings to mind that it IS HEALTHY FOR US AND HELPS US AVOID NEURODEGENERATIVE DISORDERS
Disclaimer 4: Like most people on this site, most people who arent depressed (I call tired depressed I was told I'm bipolar its what I do), and honestly all leaders, influencers, artists, actors, scientists, innovators, most entrepreneurs---- yatta yatta yatta everyone okay. Bascially, arguments sake, I mean every human being on the planet. I am capable of great, sometimes too great, emotion. If I wasnt Id be dead. If that emotion seems overwhelming, or too much, then please just take a break, or take a step back and try and reframe everything I'm saying as a deperate plea for help from a very young (I was born in 2001), very hungry, person. More on this later
Disclaimer 5: I'm ex mormon. I come from Texas. I use a LOT of religious sounding talk. There is good reason for that and there's good reason I'm giving this it's own disclaimer. Theology & philosophy go hand-in-hand and theres a quadrillion combinations of words I could barf up from the deepest pits of my mind to discuss.
In the interest of keeping the top of this disclaimer an actual one I'm going to stop for now by saying I think I'm correct in using this language so liberally, for now, because it really does work as a way to connect with people who are used to hearing that language. Most #religiouslytraumatized people I know do the same, and Ive yet to find a good reason to stop. But if someone does get triggered from my religious verbiage at all, please let me know. I'm sure theres a way we can work it out that will make both of us feel better. Probably would just be me watching my damn satanist mouth or something

Its actually interesting that you pride yourself on being progressive and enlightened when shit that doesnt fit in your tiny white western framework is immediately dismissed and shamed. Its honestly kinda racist that you immediately dismiss original text and cultural context for english translations. Censor your posts if you talk shit or shut the fuck up
dude straight up called me racist for not liking their ship.
im allowed to dislike a ship involving adoptive brothers who are, yes, ADOPTIVE. that is canon. they can be adoptive brothers and also sworn brothers. i never denied that was a thing, i don't doubt that's what it says in chinese nor am i dismissing it as a concept.
i literally don't care if you ship it so stop getting all worked up about it, damn. it's literally disgusting to accuse someone of being racist simply because they don't like your ship. all i said was that i think it's a misunderstanding of kaeya and diluc's characters to ship them together, which is literally just my opinion. i don't give a shit what you want to ship. i did not tag my post
the main point here is really that it's pathetic to call someone racist over genshin impact shipping. god damn. but if you want to get into that, fine, then you should acknowledge that sworn brothers is not exclusively a romantic thing, and you can't assume something romantic is being implied here just based on that. i don't care if you want to ship it, i definitely ship things that i never expect to be canon, but as you said its "honestly kind of racist to dismiss cultural context".
literally leave me alone. i did not tag it as kaeluc SPECIFICALLY because i didnt want this kind of shit, but i guess i should have been more careful because kaeluc stans are apparently assholes. all i said was that i don't think it fits their characterization to ship them together. and if i said it in kind of a mean way, sorry about that, but also not sorry because i'm not going to censor my own opinions on fucking genshin impact characters on my own blog.
also i never ever said i prided myself on being progressive and enlightened... literally what about me implied that... kinda funny how you jump straight to that conclusion as if anyone in this stupid argument has ever told me more than just "google it you dumbfuck" if they think that i'm wrong or uneducated about it. as you said, i fully acknowledge that i have a white western worldview, because i am white and come from a western country (it's a shock i know, that someone's worldview might be based on what they know, insane). i am fully willing to learn things im ignorant on. but i have no reason to believe that i am in the wrong here especially because i UNDERSTAND THE CONTEXT OF SWORN BROTHERS AND THAT IS NEVER WHAT I WAS CONTESTING IN THE FIRST PLACE. IF THEY SAID THAT IN THE ORIGINAL TEXT THEN FINE. I STILL AM ENTITLED TO MY OPINION ABOUT THE SHIP. i think it is FULLY REASONABLE to feel uncomfortable about two adoptive brothers being in a romantic relationship. but i've written and read things that would make other people uncomfortable, so i literally do. not. fucking. care.
not that i'm expecting you to read anything beyond what you want to get mad about, considering the conclusions you came to about me and the fact that you seem to have gone through my blog for some reason yet ignored everything else i said on this subject.
all i said was that i don't like it. literally touch some grass and leave me alone.

1. My favourites have to be Rick, Morty and Jerry
2. I saw a post talking about how domestic Beth had the same nose shape as the Beth in the first seasons, so for that reason I'd say domestic Beth
3. I think that Rick C137 were definitely romantically involved. There's alot of proof and theories that I've read that have convinced me
4. Honestly, I think a good name would be Tammy, since, well, Tammy is dead and I feel like Bp would be the type of guy to name her after Tammy :,) But I'm not good with names so I can't really think of any other name lol
5. I've heard that the show will continue on to at least season 10, I feel like that's a good amount of seasons to properly end the story with a good enough finale
6. Smash, even when I first saw the show years ago, I knew that Rick C137 was a smash lol
7. My favourite villain has to be the devil, but if I had to choose the best executed, I'd pick King Jellybean. Although I do despise how Morty and Summer are constantly going through stuff that they shouldn't at their age (like dating older people and witnessing murders). I do think that this episode handled it better. First off, Rick doesn't force Morty to tell him and instantly realizes that something happened between him and King Jellybean, and he realizes that whatever it was, it really fucked Morty up. Instead of ignoring it like in the later seasons, he decides to give Morty what he wants, even if that means Rick doesn't get to prove Morty wrong. And I've gone through similar situations before, so seeing how Rick would react warms my heart.
8. Anatomy Park. I forgot what my other favourites were, but Anatomy Park will always be one of mine.
9. Vat of Acid. I have some others because I have autism, so it's unbearable to watch something that gives me second hand embarrassment. I especially hated the Vat of Acid episode because Rick was so cruel to Morty lol
10. Some of my least favourites are the fandom favourites so idk which one to pick :,)
11. The episode where he does this whole heist just so that Morty will continue to be his sidekick forever. Rick has done some fucked up shit (mostly to Morty) but this is just the first thing that comes up to mind, just because of how cruel this was. I mean, Morty even tells Rick that he'll just give up on his dreams and stay with Rick forever, like you can't tell me that this episode was fucked up, poor Morty
12. I do think it would be difficult because the side characters will be affected too, but considering how meta the show is and how portal travel-ly Rick is, I have no doubt that the writers will find some way to introduce the new voice actors or whatever they plan to do
13. Tysm @rickxation for tagging me 🥹 @thesoftboiledegg is one of the first ppl that followed me and I love their theories sm (I would tag some more but the ppl I reblogged from already mentioned some pretty cool blogs)
14. Morty, Rick then Jerry (in order). To most people it is confusing how I relate to all three but I've read some theories or posts that explain how they are like each other sometimes. Also I may be projecting but I headcanon Jerry as autistic, he's always made fun of (by his own family) and often can't read the room and some other stuff.
15. I haven't seen the show in awhile so I don't remember many bits. I think one of my favourite bits is in the episode, Rickdependence Spray. Although the whole idea of the episode was stupid, it still managed to make me laugh. There were tons of jokes that stuck to me, like the fact that one of the people said it was a "text-book trebuchet" after Morty said that no one would know the difference. And I'm a huge fan of occurring bits/jokes, so seeing Morty being called a boy that never lies the whole episode until the reveal, was funny to me.
16. Season 2/3
17. I did have a least favourite but honestly I forget which one it was lol, I think it was season 4
18. Idk
19. Oh man I have many, "A vat of acid, are you dying of dementia?" and any of Rick's catchphrases; are the ones that come to mind immediately
20. Morty ig lol I relate the most to him so I feel like I would be the best at being him

I’m wasn’t sure I wanted to talk about it since I’m not incredibly interested in debating it, but it’s bothering me and it’s my blog so
I saw a lot of posts in the dracula daily tag that was like ‘all of that feminist analysis that said Lucy was supposed to be bad as a vampire because she turned sexual is WRONG, the horror is that she’s turned into a different person’ and even calling that feminist critique shallow or less nuanced or connecting it to second wave feminsm (and for some reason citing Kate Beaton who is 1. a cartoonist giving quick takes on several books in a funny way and 2. not from the second wave lmao please learn your history guys)
and look, I get wanting to look at Dracula through different lenses, especially since you like it now, but it’s not some be a wacky coincidence that Lucy’s human personality is ‘innocent ingenue who is the apple of every man’s eye yet would never act so seductively’ and her ‘monstrous vampire’ personality is seductive and sexual and it would be dangerous to kiss her, you’ll die. It would be incredibly unlikely in the Victorian era (or even today!) that it would ever be written the other way around, the good woman the flirtatious one and the bad personality innocent of sexuality. Whether Stoker was doing it consciously or subconsciously, societal feelings about women and sexuality are all over that.
It’s also not a wacky coincidence that the three vampire ladies menacing Jonathan are very sexual and seductive and scary and up for a four way,or that Dracula's own monstrousness is sexually coded, and part of it is his implied three lovers he doesn’t love but probably fucks (even if I love them and prefer to interpret them as weird roommates, I can acknowledge that likely wasn’t the intended interpretation).
Sure, Lucy can think about how cool it would be to marry three guys, but she’s willing to follow society’s rules. It’s when she’s a monster that she isn’t. And there’s a lot of of analysis to be had in how the scary sexually-coded predation of Dracula as a man and a ‘foreigner’ is handled vs the female vampires of the story, because it is presented very differently!
Just as there’s pretty disturbing racism and antisemitism all over Dracula, there’s gender and sex stuff too. It is, in fact, all over vampires in general, and analyzing how they’re wrapped up in anxiety about sexuality, especially anxieties about what were considered ‘fringe sexualities’ (whether internalized or externalized) and how that was wrestled with and played with through the years, is pretty fascinating! And you’re doing yourself as disservice if you ignore it. It’s often very interesting, it’s not all bad, we love our monsters, it’s part of a proud tradition, but there was a society that created it that you shouldn’t dismiss. These are very basic takes, but apparently they’re still important to talk about it, since you guys are now actively dismissing them as soon as you start liking the characters.
Just because you want to look at things from a character motivation perspective doesn’t mean the social perspective and social mores aren’t at play. It can simultaneously be true that “the horror is the Lucy is a different person” and “the horror is Lucy’s sexual forwardness”. It can be true that “there’s more to Lucy than trepidation about sexuality’ and ‘that’s almost certainly meant to be a part of her tragedy for sure’. Multiple things can coexist. If you want nuance to exist you can’t just say interpretations that conflict with you having an entirely fun time are somehow more shallow. We can love the monsters, and love the characters, but realize the way we love them now doesn’t always reflect how it would have come across to many of those who first read about it, or even most people who read it today.

Also you shouldn't have an 18+ blog if the characters are literally minors tf
Firstly, I have a pretty good idea who you are, and you're more than free to block me if you disagree with my existence so much you felt the need to come into MY inbox (on anon, might I add, like a coward), to start shit. Since you're the one with the problem and all, I mean... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The block button's right there, and it's free!
Ignoring your classy use of the r-slur in your last ask, the 18+ in my description is for me. Hi, I'm over 18, and this is (or was) an agere blog. There is nothing 18+ here other than swearing and my age. And if the latter alone disqualifies me from taking part in fandom then I'm going to assume you're a terminally online minor who needs to take a really long time-out from the Internet. Because if you're an adult sending shit like this, oof. All I can say is yikes, my man, what's your damage?
Also the characters aren't real lol. The "literal minors" do not exist. The actors are real people though. Adult people. Playing minors. Adult people playing seventeen-year-olds. Who we suspend our disbelief for. For the two hours we watch them we pretend they're 17yos doing high school things and not 20-30yos running around on a near-empty stage saying lines, singing songs, and dancing their asses off. Who take their blazers, wigs, mics, etc off at the end of the night and walk the streets of the city as anonymous as they can be til they have to put everything back on again.
Secondly, we are not playing this game tonight.
Tumblr media
Mmhm, see, I know exactly where this is going. I know the definition you're thinking of and I'ma promise you, that's not what that means. You are not going to label me with the wrong definition and brand me as something I'm not. I'll put it in a bigger font so you don't miss it:
Proshipper is not synonymous with pedophile. You know what is synonymous with pedophile? MAPs!
Luckily for me, the older I get, the less I like people under the age of 18! In fact, the younger you are, the less I like you. Convenient, isn't it? Especially in this day and age when everyone is more exhausting than ever.
The prefix PRO means FOR (eg: pro-choice, pro-life, pro-censorship, pro-ship). It is NOT short for problematic.
Likewise, the prefix ANTI means AGAINST (eg: anti-abortion, anti-LGBT, anti-war, anti-ship).
Being a proshipper means
you don't go around sending anon hate to randos because of their tastes (or what you assume is their taste, and you know what they say about assuming!). That's harassment, kids, and that's illegal! Their opinions, my opinions, his opinions, her opinions have NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU so why are you so pressed? Don't yuck someone else's yum. Your squick might be their squee and vice-versa.
you curate your own experience. This person's annoying you by posting too much? Block them so you never have to see them again. That person's spamming the tags? Block them, you're free. That person made art/fic/has a headcanon that contradicts yours and it makes you feel some type of way? You got one guess what I'm gonna say next. Block. Them. If you can demand they block you, why don't you block them first? Since, again, you're the one with the problem and they're just minding their own business.
you don't have to okay EVERY single ship/dynamic you find if you just don't vibe with it because everyone has different tastes just like they like different food. I like durian, but I hate cilantro. I will not eat cilantro for a million dollars. If you try to trick/force me into eating cilantro at all ever, YTA. Some people only have wholesome fluffy ships, and as long as they're not acting like that makes them better than people who ship anything other than that, guess what! As long as they're not going around bothering people about their ships especially if they disagree, guess what!! As long as they're not offering their unsolicited opinions to people under the guise of "helping" them see the "error of their ways" or some bs like that, GUESS WHAT!! AS LONG AS THEY'RE NOT A DICK ABOUT FANDOM CONCEPTS, GUESS FUCKING WHAT!!! congratulations, you're proship! and you didn't even need a problematic pairing!
you ignore what you don't like and consume what you do like! Y'know, like regular people. And you don't bitch and moan after you intentionally upset yourself and make it everyone else's problem (like a baby). I cannot stress how much of an asshole you are if you do this. If you don't want to put in the effort to block, cuz that takes so much, you can always scroll away. If you hate DD:DNE, don't bitch about clicking on a fic that is PROPERLY TAGGED "DEAD DOVE: DO NOT EAT." That's on your dumb ass for not checking the tags first!! You opted in, and you can also opt OUT. Yes, even if your bff sent it to you cuz they suffered and now you have to. Jesus Christ.
you don't police what people are/are not allowed to like. BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT THEM. And it stands to reason if you can police their preferences, they can police yours, right? It's only fair. And if not, what makes you the arbiter of taste, hm? That'd be pretty boring if we all had the same exact likes and dislikes and no one was allowed to branch out and explore new things. When do you guys have fun?
you ship and let ship. The sandbox is big enough for everyone! Suz can play Hug and Snuggles Barbie and Ken over here, and Sam can play Battle Royale Death Barbie and Ken over there. And if I sound condescending that's kind of the point!! If you can't play nice, just don't play together! What a concept!
Alright, I'm done. I hope you learned something. I hope the 40-odd people who follow me learned something. Proship is nothing more than a stance on fiction, and fiction is not real. Fiction by itself cannot hurt anyone. It is not the fault of the creator if people use their creation to hurt others. You know who is at fault? The real person who used the creation with the intention to hurt others. Real people are real. Real people can hurt and be hurt. Fictional characters are NOT real and exist only as concepts.
Get your head out of your ass, the hole's as big as it's gonna get. Grow up. Drink some fucking water. And learn some goddamn respect. Tf? Smdh
