I know I haven’t been active in the fanbase for a while, but the hyperfixation came back like a motherfucker and now I wanna doodle these goobers again Mainly just wanted to draw some other people's phoenix designs. Kinda inspired by this post

Well, I got into I Expect You To Die (I'm blaming @solobodor for this!!!!!!!! /lh) and I also got inspired to make my own designs for the characters! These are all very first-pass designs (except for phoenix. maybe) and they're definitely all subject to changing. Especially Hivemind and Ollie who I just threw in there so Fabricator and Solaris wouldn't look so lonely.

The Phoenix page in the bottom preceded the line up, but that's the extent of my concepts for them UDSHFSDKJSD I'm not sure if I'll stick with the silhouette style, or if I'll make these guys actual designs ??? Both can exist at the same time, so who knows.

Oh right yeah also the games are really good and fun!

short IEYTD animatic i made to the song My Favorite Part by PEABOD! took me like five days and i’m not 100% happy w it (who knew that trying to animate using iMovie which has a very strict clip length cap would make snappy movements nigh impossible?) but i think it still turned out pretty good :)

I love the "Phoenix is actually very good at their job, they just choose to be an absolute gremlin at all times" headcannons because it would be very interesting to see everyone else's reactions to Phoenix not goofing around anymore.

One day Phoenix comes in and instead of cracking a joke or chugging the coffee pot just because they can, they go straight out to the field and don't do a single silly thing. They get in and get out. Don't say a word. Dead serious.

What happened? Is this not Phoenix? Why are they suddenly serious? And... good?

I don't really have a conclusion to this it's just something I've been thinking about

I know that during Rising Phoenix, when JJ said ‘I can tell you who Dr. Zor is.’ It was almost certainly a lie to save himself.

But wouldn’t it be funny if he actually did know, and in all these fanfics where he survived he just randomly mentions it in some meeting several months after he’s saved.

Just like ‘Oh by the way, this is Zor’s name and what they look like’ and everyone is just sitting and staring at him like ‘And you didn’t think to mention this sooner?’

tbh this was a part of a doodle dump, but I'm putting IEYTD 2 spoilers under the read more :] just to be safe!

You know I wasn't this obsessed with him when I first experienced (watched) IEYTD 2 but I always thought his death was so ... underwhelming? After being such a big personality throughout the sequel and he just falls to his death... I'm like sureee he's just like Icarus with his hubris flying too close to the sun falling to his demise and etcetera. The scene illustrating Dr. Zor's power without any bounds, disposing their subordinates that easily and Whatever..... I just kinda wished he had a more Extra death. IF HE'S EVEN DEAD IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! DUN DUN DUN I'm willing to hold out on that possibility. But in the meantime...

Reginald, not even surprised: Why are you yelling?

Phoenix: I ALSO GOT SHOT AND I'M RUNNING ON ADRENALINE AND TWO BOTTLES OF WHISKEY

Phoenix: ROXY'S HAVING A PANIC ATTACK SO I DON'T KNOW

Reginald: I'll be there. *hangs up. all of that was on speaker phone and everyone is staring at him.* ...Do I have to make a formal excuse as to why I have to leave or can I just go?
