It seems that Elriels are coddling Elain too. Way too much.

Well- I see the stark difference between how Gwynriels treat Gwyn and Elriels treat Elain. While obviously they headcanon constantly of Azriel worshiping Gwyn and all that, they still acknowledge that they both aren't close now. That we'll first see them challange each other and that there's much to do before unlocking the level of trust. Although Gwynriel might be mates, there will be times in which they'll probably be cold to each other. It's a high possibility that Azriel will at least try to push her off, not wanting to share something personal about himself to someone he isn't even friends with. It's not bad, it should be part of their story. It's realistic that way. Gwynriels want an on page love story in which they want to see their relationship fully boom in one book.

But Elriels are convienced Azriel and Elain are in love. That Elain wants him and Azriel wants her despite what the bonus chapter says from Azriel's point of view. They're convienced that Azriel is basically a total simp for Elain, that he'd never even dare to underestimate and he already trusts her and so on... which is not canon. They explain Azriel's lack of feelings for her from the bonus chapter away. "Azriel hadn't thought of anything beyond fantasies cause he's scared of the future!" That wasn't included in his thought process. "Sexual attraction is normal" no one claims otherwise. "Azriel was willing to go on his knees for her" yes, to get the chance to taste her, not marry her. Attraction ≠ love. "If Azriel only wanted her for the mating bond, why would he go after a mated girl?" Azriel explained it himself: 3 brothers x 3 sisters. "4 books of build up" 4 books of suppose build up and he couldn't think of Elain as a person? And then they explain away the entire gwynriel half with the "Gwyn is evil" argument.

It's not just that, but they can't take the slightest inconvenience when it comes to Elain. You challange or insult her? You're evil. Oh, Elain looks uncomfortable? You're evil, even though you haven't done anything. You're telling the love of her life to stay away from her? You're evil. The love of her life is talking to you instead of her? You're evil.

I don't know how to explain it but it seems that Elain has no flaw and everything that is inconvenient in their eyes is evil. I don't ship Elriel, but if they were endgame, I'd at least want to see Elain get challanged or have some problems with Azriel (like what I had listed in for the Gwynriel part) or Elain herself having problems.

For example, Elain's friends. I don't see the wraiths ever challange Elain. The inner circle aren't pushing her either. They're just content with the soft and kind girl she is. And staying in the Night court for the rest of her life to be with her family? Idk about that...

But the BoE? Jurian and Vassa don't seem to be the coddling type at all. I can imagine Vassa coming off as mean to her and Jurian talking to her like everything is a joke to him and I can imagine Elain getting frustrated with that. They probably would challange her. Lucien would.

I guess they don't like that. Everyone has to be nice and friendly with Elain. That... isn't good for her growth.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that they don't care about Elain and are just self inserting. Their problem is that they love her and Elriel too much.

ALL the yeses. I'm going to copy and paste your different comments to address them: "It seems that Elriels are coddling Elain too. Way too much." Fully agree. Elain, in their eyes, needs protected from everything. She needs protected from Jurian because god forbid she be allowed to confront him face to face if she has a problem with something he said years ago (something she wasn't even around for), giving him the chance to explain how horrible he felt for making those comments but he needed Hybern to believe he hated the IC and giving her a chance to demonstrate empathy and undertanding. Elain in their eyes needs protected from Lucien and his looks that occur once every few months because she's too delicate to vocalize if it bothers her, that his presence bothers her. Elain in their eyes needs protected by Az and Nesta because there is absolutely nothing wrong with the fact that neither gave her credit for anything she did in the war. Not saving Az's life with the hounds, not for saving Briars life, Nesta's life, Cassian's life, for stopping the King. Honestly, they turn her into such a child it's concerning considering the very adult headcanons they have for when it comes to Az. And you're right, Gwynriels and Elucien's have no problem with Gwyn and Elain having it out with Az or Lucien. Two characters sitting around talking about surface level things suddenly declaring they're in love simply because Az gave Elain a dagger then listened to her talk about gardens leading to an almost makeout session after avoiding one another for a year is not even close to how Sarah writes her pairings. We want the real and the raw up front and that is when the characters can begin to fall, because that's when they'll have seen each other at their worst and will still want each other anyway.

"If Azriel only wanted her for the mating bond, why would he go after a mated girl?" This is how it all went. Az obsessed over Mor for centuries. Elain came into his life and he continued to obsess over Mor, with Rhys even saying he's been waiting for a mating bond to snap between them. He gave Elain TT and he continued to obsess over Mor. Mor continues rejecting Az and then one Solstice Elain gets Az a gift though that same evening he looked at Mor with heat and yearning. Mor heads to bed and Az ends up staying downstairs to listen to Elain talk about her gardens. Mor is then sent away to the continent for months at a time and suddenly Az does not have her to obsess over anymore so he turns his attention to Elain because she's there, she's single, she isn't paying attention to her mate, she got Az a gift last year and because his brothers are now getting paired off with two sisters. Az grows more jealous of his brothers being part of the "I got a sister" club while he was left out of having a mate so he naturally begins to wonder why it worked out that way? Why didn't he get the third sister when there were three of them and there are three brothers and Elain doesn't seem interested in Lucien? What if the mother was wrong because that math seems too perfect to Az. It's never been about Az having real feelings for Elain but of circumstance and his wondering why he didn't get what everyone around him got. First Mor's continued rejection of him, then Mor's absence from the NC, then of the realization that he got left out of what his brothers were given. I always thought the "Az questioned his religion for Elain!" statements were a bit strange. I'm agnostic but if you are religious....is it a good thing to be questioning your god / goddess / deity? I mean, yes, if that deity is written to be an asshole spreading hatred it would be a good thing but the Mother seems to be written as a positive force so Az questioning her seems to be a problem with Az losing his faith and learning to accept that the Mother knows better than him? That's kind of the theme of this book, isn't it? That the Mother is the guiding force of these characters and you shouldn't be pissy just because she didn't instantly give you the things others are getting? "I don't know how to explain it but it seems that Elain has no flaw and everything that is inconvenient in their eyes is evil." YES! You know a ship is problematic when all the good guys in this series are suddenly the bad guys simply because of their proximity to E/riel. Az shows admiration for Gwyn? She's EVIL! Elain might meet Jurian one day because he's her mate's friend who also lives with Vassa who Elain had a vision of? Jurian is VILE! Rhys prevented Az from using Elain like a sex doll when he couldn't even admit to thinking of a future with her or being over Mor? Rhys is an ASSHOLE for keeping two lovers apart (though I missed the memo on Elain having any actual feelings for Az). Lucien treats Elain with nothing but respect, allowing her to do whatever it is she wants with whoever she wants? Sarah should just KILL Lucien!!! Literally, every single character is suddenly an obstacle for E/riel. When has Sarah ever written something like that? Relationships that are meant to be are written so that the friends and family are supportive. Rhys had major issues with Nesta because of Feyre yet he still found a way to push Cassian and Nesta together. The fact that it's been books and the IC still has not brought out the best of Elain despite her attempts at fitting in just proves to me that she's not found her people. The clues the author has left us regarding the people Elain will most likely have a connection to in the future (Helion, Eris, Jurian, Vassa), will bring out the side of Elain that finally shows everyone why Sarah wanted to write a book about her.

[Moggonisi is a small greek Island that belongs to Paxos, the neighbouring island of Antipaxos. Paxos is the big island and Antipaxos its small neighbour. Basically Antipaxos means 'opposing Paxos'.]

nisitha Moggonisans - islet Moggonisans [tbh this part confused me a lot, bc she wanted to name their enemies and habitants of that island, so idk why they also added the 'nisitha' in the front. also 'Moggonisans' obviously isn't very greek and rather how an english-speaking person would refer to the inhabitants. The correct greek name for the inhabitants would probably be 'Moggonisii']

it's not that much, bc Nadja & Lazslo were talking over the family, so most parts weren't audible and also sometimes the grammar/pronounciation was just so off, that I simply could not understand it. e.g. when they were throwing food at Laszlo for that song and Nadja yelled something, I listened to it like 20 times and I still don't no what she yelled. it could be 'skotoste auton ton malaka - kill that asshole' but it doesn't really sound like it.. idk sorry

You will never be able to convince me that ACOSF was a good book. Let me explain.

1) It was a literal homicide for all the characters. Every. Single. One. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s from Nesta’s pov or what, but seriously, every single character basically became unlikeable? Rhys? Feyre (to an extent)? Cassian? Mor? Amren? Did Nesta really get much better?? Like no one was really likeable. Maybe Az being the only sane one. Elain showed some teeth which I liked but it still wasn’t the best.

2) Where was the plot? You’re telling me she only found troves and then killed one mortal/made queen? Before you argue, the fact we find out about Nesta’s literal powers in another series says a lot. Why didn’t we find out Nesta had silver flame power (WHICH IS THE NAME OF THE BOOK) in said book??????? Make it make sense. This book didn’t move the plot at all. Other than having the troves now. And killing the one crazy queen. The amount of times we were on the stairs was not needed. Nesta is a massive part of this universe, and yes, she can wield the troves. But everyone who is made can. So like what else could she have done? Something more im sure. I mean that’s why I think she was in HOFAS in the first place. To “conquer” the prison, get gwydion as her return of service, and show her powers. I get that the whole starborn thing needed to happen in HOFAS with Bryce but honestly Nesta needed more. And that’s another reason why people think she’s going to get another book, because what even happened in her book????

3) Nessian. Now here me out. Do we like smut? Yes. Do we like it when there’s actual romance involved? Yes. Did we truly get that? No. It’s been a while since I read this book because I just have no desire for a re-read. I’m sorry. But going from “my only regret in this life is that we did not have time. That I did not have time with you Nesta. I will find you in the next life” (ya I basically memorized it because I was kicking my feet at him saying that) to “I didn’t ask to be shackled to you either” after Nesta, a human turned fae, didn’t care about being called a mate? Like? Absolute homicide to Cassian’s character. Was the hike nice? No. Did he say nice things after she passed out? Yes. But like? I just think they deserved a better romance. And I just literally didn’t even know who I was reading when Cassian was involved. The guy that would crack jokes and just was loving? All of a sudden a mean person? To Nesta too? Like idk. It rubbed me the wrong way. They deserved better. The fact people actually want Eris and Nesta means it CLEARLY did not stick. Which means it was not convincing. No one says this about Feysand. They could have been FIREWORKS. But at times it genuinely didn’t feel like Cassian even liked her??? Where was the golden retriever energy? It was like the guy was on steroids the whole time and just blowing a fuse constantly. That was NOT the Cassian I remembered from ACOWAR. I mean idk maybe it was the fact the reluctant mate trope was just too difficult? The fact it started physically wasn’t my favourite either. Then it was so focused on that that it was like okay were are those romantic moments. “You’re not going to marry Eris” “no” “we will have no others” like that was romantic. Then the shackle thing literally happened the next day. Wtf.

4) Did I relate to Nesta’s issues and healing journey? A bit. But I just found it aggravating at times. I felt there was huge potential to dive into what it is to be the oldest sister. More into alot of things tbh. Her holding the line on Ramiel was a great moment, because she could finally protect people she cared about, but I wish that would have been implied more? Her journey seemed like a huge self insert and idk. It wasn’t as amazing as it could have been.

5) Nesta’s redemption? I don’t even like that word. I wanted people to begin to UNDERSTAND Nesta more. Not just be thankful she saved Feyre/Rhys/Nyx. Like a genuine understanding. Does Cassian? Ya I guess. Elain? It’s said she knew everything Nesta did and why. So yes she did. Az? Ya. He was literally the only one who wasn’t an asshole to her at any point lol. And I wouldn’t consider Elain and asshole to her either because she did just stand up for herself finally. Like imagine the comments you’d hear having Nesta as a sister (for real). But did anyone leave understanding Nesta, understanding why she was snarky and rude? No. Idk if that’s the point to create a divide or what. But seriously. I get Nesta to some degree now. Why did the characters not.

6) Nesta gaining friends was nice and I see why people cling to the Valkyrie. That was literally probably the best part of the book. And that’s saying something about the way the romantic pair was executed might I add. We weren’t obsessed with Feyre and Mor and Amren being friends. We were obsessed with Feysand. But the most you hear from ACOSF is about the Valkyrie.

7) Again. I never truly hated Nesta, but I didn’t necessarily love her after this either. I understood the character more, I saw her own dark thoughts, I saw how she felt, and I understood. But was she my favourite? No. I think her appearance in HOFAS, other than showing her powers (????), was to make Nesta more likeable. Because a lot of people still don’t like her. Like I said, I am PRO ARCHERON FOREVER, but I wanted more for Nesta. I wanted a lot for the girl.

8) The dreaded bonus chapter. I’ve said my opinion on this multiple times. Idk. It’s just hate for Elain that drives it tbh. It’s literally a copy and paste of the Nessian one from ACOMAF basically that if you put it in a plagiarism generator it would probably not pass. YET, it has literally desecrated the fandom. Completely. You literally can’t go anywhere without some ship war happening. And ya, I feed into it too being super pro Elriel because I love them. But damn. Imagine if this energy was put into, idk, theories of the plot? We would have figured out the Maas universe by now tbh. I wish it didn’t exist everyday. And to a lot of people it doesn’t, and I envy them. Life was simpler before the “did you read the bonus chapter” fiasco. And tbh I’m pretty sad that SJM hasn’t said a word about it. Or her publisher because it gets way out of line way too often. The actual love triangle has always been set up as Lucien/Elain/Az, and somehow we left the BC with a square??? Idek.

Overall, it just did not do Nesta or Cassian justice in my mind. It created way too many head canons, it made Cassian unlikeable in a lot of ways (why are you calling Mor beautiful?) and it just seriously destroyed a lot of characters.

I’m really hoping in Elain’s book we, idk, make amends finally? If I have to see another toe to toe battle between Nesta and Rhys I’m going to be sick. They are both right in ways, but I just can’t take it anymore. And this is what I mean about Nesta’s story not being one of UNDERSTANDING. Which is what she NEEDED. TO BE UNDERSTOOD. The rudeness, snarky comments, death glares etc just needed to be understood man.

hey so i've seen you helping other anons and i thought i'd say something even tho it's not really a big problem

so i'm transmasc but my parents just think i'm non-binary and that i use they/them. i know they'll probably be accepting but when i did come out to them as transmasc at one point my dad was sort of weird about it, called it an inconvenience and stuff, so i went back into the closet and now i only use he/him at school with a note on my student profile not to use he/him when talking to my parents

the other day we did presentations in my ela class and me and my partner did really well so my ela teacher emailed my parents to say so. she used exclusively he/him in the email and my mom asked me about and i panicked and said that every teacher uses different pronouns for me and that i just don't correct them anymore (tbf, this is sort of true)

i want to tell my ela teacher that she sort of outed me so it doesn't happen again but i don't know how to politely especially since it didn't really cause that much of a problem and idk what to do so i thought i'd ask for outside input

This was a mistake your teacher made, and it's important not to let it go! Here's the thing- I'm sure the teacher made an oversight, right? But depending on the student, this could have been an actually dangerous thing to do. Luckily, nothing bad happened, but next time, a student might not be so lucky.

I would find a time to talk to your teacher when you aren't in front of a class and ask her to please use they/them when contacting your parents. Be firm but kind.

Remember, if she seems to feel guilty, it's NOT your fault for reminding her of your needs. And if she's mean about it, then please report her.

And a GOOD teacher will be so thankful that you said something, because the goal as a teacher is to do what's best for the students- which is to respect your needs!

Thermite, Hibana, Kapkan and Fuze as fire magic users: Yes! Tachanka tho, I do remember mostly old Tachanka, and his Extraction version, so to me he's more about his LMG than the whatever it's called grenade launcher they gave him. So eh, personal preference difference here.

Smoke poison, for sure, same as Twitch and IQ with electricity. Thatcher... I guess? I don't know how I'd put his EMP gadget in magic form. Tbh, I would probably turn it into anti-magic abilties: he can negate any other magic/some types of magic.

I think Zofia, Ela and Echo all should be the same type, whether that's sonic or air, doesn't matter. But their gadgets are all about concussing/disorienting enemies.

Capitao being a fire magic user felt confusing, again, cause of memory of his old bolts being poison iirc? But mostly cause that's what he has in Extraction, and it's the only game where I played him. So in order to encompass all that, I'd make him able to manipulate air: add or remove oxygen to make things burst into fire or the air unbreathable/toxic, alter the composition of particles in suspension to make the smoke clouds too.

Now, for the ones I categorically disagree with, sorry:

I am extremely confused about Finka having plant magic, and Lion healing magic? Finka and Doc would have healing, obviously. And Lion, idk, maybe air or sonic too, in order to detect people moving, but he definitely doesn't heal.

Frost having ice magic fits her name but not her actual ability, which is how everyone else got their magic type?

Also, Monty would be a non-magic user. Having a big shield doesn't sound very magical to me, in my eyes he'd be your average knight.

Don't get me wrong, I love this ask and I love discussing things, so this is not a take down of your ideas, quite the contrary: I'm so engaged with it I can't help laying down my take for this!

Fav. life series: Definitely Double Life- I'm a Grian main, and usually with life series I also watch Scar, Pearl, Scott, Joel, and now Gem. But I absolutely ADORE literally every pair in that series. I mean, the divorce quartet, Desert Duo, The Ranchers, Boat Boys, SO MUCH ICONIC STUFF HAPPENED THERE AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

When did you start watching Hermitcraft? I started watching it at the beginning of season six, watching Grian!! Hermitcraft was the first ever minecraft stuff I ever watched on YT acutally- and I've watched the life series since the very beginning as well.

EPIC the musical? RAHHHH I WILL LISTEN TO IT I PROMISE AKFNEANUIJ. My friends keep begging me and I WILL I just haven't had the time yet- I'm a major Greek mytholgy nerd tho so I will probably like it lol

I'm talking about the way wolves actually act. How wolves are pack animals, and need to be looked after but also care for their packs so so much, and have lifelong partners. How wolves are incredibly intelligent and are protective of the ones they love, and how they feel lost when they're alone. It is not a wolf's natural state to be alone.

Occupation:History and ELA teacher,head of the photography club at his school.He is also a very high ranking member of the cult,they refer to him as either Reverend or Prophet.

-he actually has a giant eye on his chest,he can see out out it somewhat.he doesn't like when people above a certain height hug him straight on,instead of from an angle.he also has a few other eyes in other stops on his body,like one of his forehead,his hands,his back,the back of his head,and some other places.In his regular eyes,the ones that people see he is rendered completely blind in,so his vision isn't the best unless he is practically naked,even then his vision isnt the best,since his hair does cover alot of his eyes.He cant really swim in salt water because of how many eyes he has,it burns his eyes.He often wears looser clothes to prevent his eyes from hurting,and whatnot.He also often wears clothing that if you pulled them over your head you could still see out of it somewhat so he could still see a little.

-Roswell is a fairly handsy person,not in an inappropriate way,but in a very affectionate way. He often gives unsolicited hugs,the whatnot,etc.When he sense/when people show/when they state they are discomfortable/uncomfortable he will do his absolute best to stop,though it is a habit of his.He also really loves physical affection in return.

-He grew up very wealthy,he has no idea where all this money came from since he never saw his father working growing up.Because he grew up in immense wealth he often attended high society events with his father,who is rather close to Richard and Carmen.Though Roswell isn't close with either of them,and Roy isn't very found of him either,though he is one of Roy's teachers.

-Roswell always has a camera and a few rolls of film in his bag,he never goes anywhere without 2 of those things.He also has his white cane with him at all times,though he doesn't really use it much.He usually carries a bottle of water and a few water flavoring drink packets,a pocket knife,and a chain with the cult charm,though he always wears one of those anyway.

-Roswell's mother is dead,she passed away when Roswell was around 3 or so,he remebers when she died but not why she died.He asked his father,but he couldn't get an answer from his father.

-As I've stated in previous posts about Roswell he is The Prophet for Eyes.At the time I didn't really know how that worked,but practically its primarily parasitic thats the best way I can desribe it anyway,Roswell is more of less a vessel for Eyes,a part of Eyes lives inside of Roswell thriving off of Roswell's energy.The part of Eyes that lives in Roswell is connected to eyes as a whole,Eyes can feed that peice info and whatnot henceforth feeding Roswell information,visions,etc.Roswell didn't get too much out of having a price of eyes implanted in him(I couldn't think of a better way to phrase it lmao),Eyes took his vision from his 2 normal eyes,is siphoning energy off of Roswell,adding all sorts of eyes all over Roswell making it harder for Roswell to do things.Roswell barely benefits from this,though he can't complain at all.Some benefits from this arrangement are he knows things that the average person would never know,he sees things that will happen in the future,he can see things that the average person can't see with normal eyes,he can hypnotize/disorient people by just staring them in the eyes effects font last terribly long and its hard fo him to do since he had to use his default eyes(idk what term to use,his human eyes hes had since birth) and he cant see out of them so its hard to stare someonein the eyes with his default eyes,his eyes can glow all of his eyes,his senses are heightened for the most part,he has alot of Eyes' power to s waaaaayyy lesser scale.Most things in the arrangement are neutral,like he can grow limbs like tentacles(he can't really control it a whole lot,they mainly come out when he's feeling intense emotions,and they can only be around the same size as his arm,and they dont tend to last very long when they appear),and the fact that Eyes and Roswell are emotional connected literally,Eyes and feel was Roswell is feeling and Roswell can feel to a degree what Eyes is feeling,same thing also works with pain.

Roswell's family,Jaune, is his aunt,sister of his father,though Jaune and Mr. Incognito(Roswell's father,he doesn't have a full name yet) do not share a father so they have different last names,since Jaune is Roswell's aunt,that makes Aaron(I'm pretty sure that's Jaunes husband's name) and Ross family as well,uncle and cousin respectively.While on Roswell's mother's side,one of Roswell's mother's siblings is John and the other being unnamed/unspecified parent of robert,radford,and the unnamed sister.So Robert,Radford,whatever the sisters name is,and Hope would all be Roswell's cousins.

Like she was super cool and really accommodating and easy to talk to. Like I sometimes get really overstimulated during practicals cause of all the noise so a few times she let me come back and do it in the room when it was empty
