I think this is all that matters in this world. It does not matter what you are as long you love and are loved.

Quote
The assumption of a reality beyond our personal, always-mediated experience of it — whether it be a reality of matter and energy that science suggests or a reality purely of ideas and relationships that philosophers from Plato to Berkeley and some contemporary philosophers of mathematics still believe in — is the leap into metaphysics. And because we cannot negotiate the world without assuming it is really one thing or the other, we are always within one metaphysical system or another.
Samuel R. Delany, "Neither the First Word nor the Last on Deconstruction..."

We are all looking for perfection in our lives, but the truth is, there is no perfect. There’s just better and worse. And for what we are in this world, not being perfect is the perfect thing.

I would have included Snuff Box too. But as we know only 12 choices are allowed. 😔

The only three superhero costumes for Action Boy, "Captain Action's powerful companion!"
(In the DC comic book Action Boy was Captain Action's son.)
In 1966-67, these three teen heroes were extremely popular. Superboy and Aqualad were starring in animated shorts on CBS Saturday mornings, and Robin was in the live action Batman show.
So these costume sets for Action Lad were a sweet deal back in the mid-1960s, since there were no action figures based on superheroes. Sure, the masks were a little off-putting, and they generally didn't fit the base figure's head very well; I wish they had just included an alternate head to put on the base figure (but that was probably a little too expensive). But in the 60s these were awesome!
I dig most of the accessories (KRYPTO THE SUPER_DOG!!!!!!!!!!), but Aqualad's puzzle me. A shell axe? A swordfish spear? A freakin' sea horse knife???????????
Octo the octopus, however, is pretty sweet.

Art is not religion, “it doesn't even lead to religion.” But in the time of distress which is ours, the time when the gods are missing, the time of absence and exile, art is justified, for it is the intimacy of this distress: the effort to make manifest, through the image, the error of the imaginary, and eventually the ungraspable, forgotten truth which hides behind the error.
Maurice Blanchot, The Space of Literature
