I see people reference IWTV (2022) how Lestat is Claudia’s mother figure, her creator. It’s implied in the show, and in the season 2 finale when Lestat and Louis reunite where he says, “She looked at me in the end. Like a child looking towards her father. But I was not…” Not her father, but her mother, her maker.

I want to see season 3 reference this like the books. Maybe during his interview, Lestat denies being her father, saying that was Daddy Lou’s role, he was just- *Daniel cuts him off with a single eyebrow raised* ‘Her mother?’

My iwtv ships in terms of divorce and how I see them

Loustat - they have divorced twenty times but keep getting remarried

Loumand - they should get divorced but they'd rather claw out their own eyes than do so

Devil's minion - got divorced once hated it and have just kept making empty threats to each other

Lesmand - Armand keeps saying they're divorced but they really just had a messy breakup and lestat refuses to admit to even knowing Armand

Loudaniel - Daniel is trying to divorce Louis but he is keeping his claws in that old man till the end of time

I've seen people talk about how show Louis would help Claudia with her hair and teach her how to care for it, and yes I 100% agree. I also think that unfortunately show Lest would not care much for that (but I could be wrong since I haven't rewatched the show many times and don't remember well how their "golden years" as a family were like) and instead focus on teaching her other things.

Book Lestat though? I think that he would be the one to do that at first, just because book Louis doesn't seem like the type to know how to properly take care of hair, especially not Claudia's since it's curly. Lestat probably knows and takes very good care of his own hair (he also has curly hair in the books right? Or did I just make that up?), so I like to think he would teach both Claudia and Louis, who would pay a lot of attention since I'm sure he would love to do her hair. I like to think that they would either take turns on doing her hair after Louis got the hang of it or would just do it together and let it be a family moment 🥰 (until she decided that she no longer needs their help with that and wants to do it herself, which would upset them quite a bit even if they pretend it's not that big of a deal) (Lestat and Louis would also probably bicker at least a little while doing her hair so imagine that as well).

So I was thinking of Celegorm (yes I'm going through a Celegorm brain rot rn) and how do I picture him in real life you know? And well my first option was Henry Cavill because his characterization for The Witcher just scream Tyelko to me, we all can see it right?

I have to say, I know some people in the iwtv fandom sort of offhandedly mention Armand probably being autistic, but I wanna talk about how that headcannon actually means a lot to me as an autistic person.

Like... Armand crafting all these different narratives, all these different selves, and playing all these different roles to try and get what or who he wants. Armand just desperately wanting to be loved and SEEN, but never getting it. Armand being a chronic people pleaser and fawning, but also absolutely losing his shit and flexing his vampire powers when he reaches a breaking point (is it the gremlin or the good nurse tonight?). Armand genuinely thinking he's doing the right thing, even when it's so abundantly clear he's not lol. Because it's for people's "own good."

Armand who bases his identity off of his relationships with other people (without him, I am nothing). Armand who carries so many different selves within him, (where does the bullshit start Armand, Amadeo, Arun?)

Like???? It's just all so painfully autistic to me personally, and it's autistic in that traumatized from childhood way that is 100% my vibe. And honestly it matters so much to me.

Okay so I haven’t don’t much searching yet but I need to know what ppl think/ what theories anybody has about why vampires in iwtv have different colored eyes? Am I the only one who is very curious about this? Lestat has blue, Louis has a sorta green, Claudia red, Armand yellow. Why? I sorta headcannon that maybe it is correlated to you main personality trait? Cause it doesn’t correlate with how long you’ve been a vampire? Claudia has Red but Louis never had red when he got turned. And Madeleine got red too. It doesn’t have to do really with who made you? Lestat made Claudia and she got red eyes? What is is? Does Anne Rice touch on this in her books? Guys pls help I’m so curious.

Am I the only one who feels like the AMC iwtv is basically just a fanfic?

It's really cool and I loved watching the series but I couldn't help but think about how this all feels like someone's headcannons for the Fandom.

For example:

Claudia's age

What business louis ran

Louis family dynamics

them making up Claudia's backstory

Lestat... like, why did they make him so much of a typical evil man in this story? They didn't need to make him an abuser. I know he's a bad guy, but like this whole series seemed so out of character for him.

What really bothered me was the fact it was set like Louis lived in the early 1900s when he really lived in the late 1700s.

Im not saying i didn't like the AMC series take on the book but i feel like they shouldn't change so much.

I did love watching it and am excited to watch the new season when it comes out.

No the biggest Magnus fan but i need it to specifically be Hale Appleman. Stick him in a wig and I don't care how much of an evil weirdo he is I'll honestly be happy

I hope they cast a hot actor as magnus so people want to read fanfiction about him and lestat and I can write a 100k word 20 chapter fanfiction exploring questions of vampire lore (for example how does their regeneration work, does their hair continue to grow, can they get humans pregnant like twilight, what would happen if a vampire got cosmetic surgery - would it just grow back, and other such issues that I think about). Id do it through the framing of magnus capturing lestat and then explaining vampire lore to him. They can also fuck so that people keep reading but the important part is the vampire lore

21- what was your favorite monologue of season one?

So there are a few monologues that I can pretty much recite word for word, because I have listened to them so much and love them so I’m gonna pick two😂

Firstly, the confession scene. I mean. I just remember watching the pilot and my jaw literally on the floor because I couldn’t believe Jacob’s performance and what I was watching.

I mean wowowowow what a scene. Still gives me chills.

Now the other monologue is the balcony scene with Lestat talking about how he’s going to miss New Orleans but he’s actually talking about Louis. 

His eyes are just saying please, please, pleeeeasee don’t do this. While Louis tries and fails to avoid eye contact. Just the emotion coming from Lestat is enough to pull on the heartstrings. I mean, even he is crying by the end of it, and the beautiful romantic poetry he’s speaking to Louis I don’t understand how he didn’t fold.

35- share a headcannon of yours

Mmm I’m not sure if I have any specific headcannons to be honest. More so feelings like I feel like Louis is downplaying the relationship like crazy. That man was head over heels and didn’t really want Daniel to know so he left out birthdays and holidays and beautiful moments that made all the pain they put each other through worth it, like I think when we see Lestat’s POV it’s gonna be a 360 on how we view their relationship. Which I couldn’t be more excited for😈
