So, this is a 16-page comic (my apologies). This one centers around X during the events of X6 (pre reunion with Zero). Alia notices that he's been really struggling with the loss of his partner and trying to juggle that with fighting another war.

This is sort of a way to release some of my frustration with the game and how I wish it could have handled things with X's growing depression and ptsd.

Also, X and Zero's relationship here can be read as either romantic or platonic. It's purely up to interpretation! However, this comic also has a heavy focus on Alia trying her best to comfort X.

Also, just a few warnings: X cries. A lot. But, he also gets hugged a lot! X has survivor's guilt and his thoughts reflect that, so uh, if you're bothered by that, keep scrolling. One last thing: canon-typical robot gore… if you could handle X5's ending, you can handle this too.

This took me ages to make… and there were a lot of road blocks in the way. I appreciate any feedback (yes, I'm aware of the fluctuation in quality, my apologies, things have been hard for me.)

Powell made a perfect masterpiece with the og, idk what else he would do or add on with this one but i can only hope ig, but even then-

Seriously, what else is there to add? The story is tight. Maybe a little more of Toothless' perspective, giving him more scenes of agency and character, but does Dean even still see him as more than a baby pet?? Does he even give a rat's ass about aLL THAT???? HAHHAHAHHAHA

Just. We all know its not gonna work. I have an inkling that all "show dont tell" sequences are just going to get marred or removed of all nuance. I do not want to see Downed Dragon, Forbidden Friendship, New Tail, Test Drive, or Romantic Flight or practically any of the scenes that made me love this movie get a poor imitation.

You really think live action can mimic the body language, gestures, tHE WAY THE DRAGONS FLY in the first movie or miraciously somehow make it even better? You really think the music of the first could even be topped? YOU THINK THE CINEMATOGRAPHY, THE SHOTS AND LIGHTING WOULD BE COPIED??

Either way, at the end of the day, they already know they cant beat the original movie. All they need to do is horrendously mimic some parts to keep your interest, whether its a beloved scene or music. You're not watching the new one because you love the new, you're gonna watch it because you loved the original.

I really hope it either gets dropped, sent to development hell, or ends so bad that they cant make more. Please please please i hope it gets the ATLA movie treatment

(Don't worry, I didn't get into any allegations drama lmao.)

Sorry for disappearing for some time, folks. I'm not exactly sure if it's a valid excuse to vanish for 2 weeks despite having promised some posts and fanfics, but I have been having mental health problems. :(

I genuinely didn't even notice that 2 weeks have passed...when I realized how long it has been, I kinda panicked 😥. Wdym 2 weeks have passed? I've been barely living for 2 weeks?? How did I not realize? 2 WHOLE WEEKS!

I'm not gonna go into detail as to how bad it got, but basically, I was on autopilot the entire time without doing the things that usually make me happy (like playing video games, writing, etc.) This has been, by far, the worst I've gotten with dissociating.

Looking back, I really have been on a cycle of hell weeks at work and posting here on tumblr. I basically forgot to take a real breather for myself. Now that my work project is done (yes, the damn buildings are done. FINALLY.), and there is some kind of lull in genshin (give me Kaeya story quest ch.2), I am feeling a bit lost...

I have no inspiration, no motivation, and no idea how to get out of this state so far, so my solution is... taking a REAL time off where I am actually aware of how much time has passed.

I am taking a break/hiatus. A real one this time.

Again, I'm sorry for the disappearing act and then coming back by announcing that I'm gonna need more time. I promise this isn't forever 🥺
