went downstairs to try n find a snack. was unsuccessful (microwave isnt plugged in bc if too much is plugged in half the outlets stop working. and i dont wanna fuck shit up) so i went back upstairs. still hungry but i finished off my snacks earlier today because i am an insatiable little beast. i enter my room. there is a very large roach on the floor just chilling there. like it owns the place. i text the roommate groupchat and acquire help. roach is dead. floor is slippery from raid spray. and im still hungry

It's 80° in the house and there's no AC, so I have 2 fans on in my bedroom, one of which is pointed at my face.

The lights are off, but I'm on my phone.

A small moth has somehow gotten in.

It has flown towards the brightest light source in the room; my phone screen.

But I have a fan directing a stream of air at my face.

Guess what happened to the moth.

the biggest indicator that i'm in my 30s is that i went to a metal show last night, and almost 24 hours later i still feel hung over. no i didn't mosh. i also didn't drink. the lead singer DID make us all jump though, and i suspect that may have done it.

As a long-time Sonic, fan the history of politics in the franchise is v interesting, as well as the current Sega mandates (IE Sonic cannot cry or show any extreme outward emotion, Sonic doesn't have parents, male coded/identifying characters cannot wear pants, etc.) Like I would not by any means call Sonic the fucking Hedgehog a revolutionary or deep franchise, but damn Sonic Adventure 2 (2001) was as close to IDW Transformers levels edgy political drama as I personally have ever seen it get. There's an America-coded country and several times throughout the game it takes a moment to be like "this country's military fucking sucks." To boot, it straight up has the conflict of the plot being catalyzed by a state-sanctioned war crime.

The pants rule is so funny tho because that immediately rules out so many possibilities for unique silhouettes, but also the fact that the girls get all the cool drip???? Damn, no wonder so many fan characters are girls, why would you make your oc some naked guy?
