any hcs for yueki in a modern au?
modern au yueki get together in university thanks to sokka. 
yue is majoring in four nations politics and minoring in astrophysics (isnt she so smart) and has a grand total of one elective which is gender and women studies which just so happens to be a class she shares with suki. 
yue has never really had to make the first move before so she just keeps spotting suki, who sits in the row behind, and really hopes suki will ask her for like a pen or. yaknow a date would be good too. unfortunatley suki is actually really interested in the material (because gender and women studies is her major!) and doesn’t even notice that yue is in her class. fate intervenes, thankfully, and suki ends up tripping over yue on her way out of class one day and as soon as suki sees yue shes a gonner. 
she is also incredibly embarassed so she says sorry and rushes out of there but the next week when she’s more put together she manages to get up the nerve to talk to yue and she asks yue if she wants to study after class so they get bubble tea at the jasmine dragon and they go over their notes together and yue is like highkey flirting (which good for her this is her first attempt with another girl and shes killing it) like she asks suki if she can try her drink, and she does the oh wow your hands are so mall lets compare! and smiles at suki a lot and suki isv😳 not prepared for this at all! normally suki is the one that is ramping up the charm
so they leave the study date with no other plans and suki goes back to the apartment she shares with sokka ty lee and mai (they have a one boy allowed banner hanging up) and suki crashes face first onto sokka’s bed and sokka, who keeps up with all of his friends stories, asks her how she knows yue
suki: shes so cool im in love with her sokka: awesome she really likes movies and picnics give me your phone im texting her as you to ask for a date and following her as you on social media
suki does not say thank you because that would imply she actually needed help but she does only slightly complain when she has to go to the engineer musical that sokka isn’t even in but just doing tech for
suki and yue have a very nice picnic date and suki flirts back and yue braids her hair and they make cootie catchers and makeout obnoxiously in public

L’Italia, oggi, ritrova la sua libertà. Più o meno.
Ed è tutto quasi come prima del virus.
Già, quasi, perché permangono ancora alcuni obblighi e divieti: obbligo della (insopportabile, io non la reggo veramente più, non solo per il caldo) mascherina ogni volta che si esce, in Lombardia e in alcune altre regioni del nord.
Obbligo dei, totalmente inutili, guanti nei negozi. Il virus resta sul lattice dei guanti esattamente come resta sulle mani, e toccandosi il viso con guanti contaminati, ci si infetta proprio come se ci si toccasse con le mani, idem per le superfici.
Molto più intelligente sarebbe disinfettarsi le mani solo con del semplice gel a base alcolica, ogni volta che si entra in un negozio, ma siccome il gel ai negozianti costa, e regioni e comuni è già un miracolo che abbiano fornito, con grandissimo ritardo, le mascherine, figuriamoci se forniscono anche gel disinfettanti, e quindi, continuiamo con questa sciocca farsa dei guanti, che sono, per altro, da mesi, introvabili.
Resta il divieto degli assembramenti, e l’obbligo di mantenere la distanza di sicurezza.
È finalmente arrivata sugli smartphone l’app “Immuni”, arrivata in ritardissimo, come le mascherine, e direi, ormai, fuori tempo massimo, dato che il virus sta progressivamente scemando.
Ovviamente “Immuni”, doveva essere creata e rilasciata quando ce n’era davvero bisogno, tra fine febbraio e aprile, nelle 10 terribili settimane in cui tutti abbiamo veramente rischiato di morire, e in cui tutti saremo entrati in contatto almeno mille volte con un positivo a Covid, ogni volta che uscivamo di casa, in un periodo in cui le distanze di sicurezza e le mascherine, c’erano sì e no. Più no che sì.
Adesso, questa app, è totalmente inutile.
Abbiamo le mascherine, le distanze. Il virus è depotenziato. A che diavolo mi serve sapere che sono stata a meno di un metro da un positivo a Covid ora? A niente.
Ma forse, il vero scopo di “Immuni”, non è ciò che sembra...
Più di qualcuno, ai piani alti, c’ha preso troppo gusto a controllare i cittadini, e ora che questo controllo non è più così necessario, è dura mollare la presa. Il controllo della popolazione è un’occasione troppo ghiotta, per chi tira i fili nell’ombra.
Però, se si tira troppo la corda, questa poi si rompe.
Ed è così che nascono le rivolte, come nei quaranta stati americani, dove la gente, stremata dal virus, e disperata perché ha perso tutto, e disorientata perché Trump non è in grado di guidare il paese, nè di confortarlo, ha messo a ferro e fuoco qualunque cosa.
Ed è così che a New York, sempre martoriata da Covid, è scattato il coprifuoco, di cui la popolazione, armata e troppo arrabbiata, non si cura affatto. Nè si cura più del virus, dei contagi e degli assembramenti.
Ed è così, che gli americani, disoccupati e alla fame (come moltissime altre persone in ogni parte del mondo, purtroppo), hanno messo a ferro e fuoco Washington D.C., con proteste e tafferugli davanti alla Casa Bianca, in cui sono rimasti feriti cinquanta agenti dei servizi segreti.
Ed è così che Trump, si è ritrovato, durante la guerriglia che si è consumata la notte del 29 maggio, fuori dalla Casa Bianca, ad essere portato, dai Servizi Segreti, insieme a tutta la famiglia presidenziale, nel bunker super blindato della Casa Bianca, che si trova cinque piani sotto terra. Perché si temeva per la sua incolumità.
Ma torniamo a noi.
Il 26 maggio, Arnaldo Caruso, Direttore del Laboratorio di Microbiologia e Virologia degli Spedali Civili di Brescia, e Presidente della Società Italiana di Virologia (Siv-Isv), anticipa alla stampa una scoperta che è in via di pubblicazione scientifica:
la squadra di scienziati guidata da Caruso, isola una variante di Covid-19 (presa dal tampone di un paziente asintomatico, ma con altissima carica virale) “estremamente meno potente” rispetto ai ceppi virali visti a fine febbraio, marzo e parte di aprile (e che hanno provocato la morte di migliaia di persone, giovani e vecchie), che sono stati isolati e sequenziati, e che erano vere e proprie bombe biologiche, in grado di uccidere le cellule bersaglio in vitro in 2-3 giorni: questa nuova variante di Covid, invece, ha bisogno di minimo 6 giorni (il doppio del tempo) per attaccare le cellule bersaglio e non riesce nemmeno ad ucciderle tutte.
Questo significa, che Covid-19 ora, nella sua versione indebolita, e molto meno aggressiva, si ferma nelle alte vie respiratorie, dando sintomi lievi, senza più scendere nei polmoni, provocando microtromboembolie diffuse a tutti gli organi vitali e nella circolazione sanguigna, il che significa, che non è più letale, spiega Giuseppe Remuzzi, Direttore dell'Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche Mario Negri, che sostiene a sua volta la scoperta di Caruso, e che, già diverse settimane prima, aveva chiaramente detto tramite i media, che il virus si era depotenziato, stando alle evidenze della sintomatologia dei pazienti Covid di maggio, che non era più quella gravissima di febbraio-marzo-aprile: ora i malati che arrivano in ospedale con sintomi da Covid, non hanno più bisogno della terapia intensiva, ma vengono dimessi in poche ore e curati a casa. Anche pazienti 90enni con Covid, spiega un altro infettivologo, Matteo Bassetti, dell’Ospedale San Martino di Genova e Presidente della Società italiana di terapia antinfettiva. Prima, questi stessi pazienti, morivano nel giro di una settimana.
Ecco perché le terapie intensive si stanno svuotando e continua a diminuire anche il numero dei contagi e dei malati ricoverati per Covid.
Dello stesso parere anche Alberto Zangrillo, direttore della terapia intensiva dell'Ospedale San Raffaele di Milano, che ribadisce quanto già detto dagli altri suoi colleghi: i tamponi dei pazienti Covid di maggio, presentano una debolissima carica virale, assolutamente infinitesimale, rispetto a quelli eseguiti tra febbraio ed aprile. E questa è la prova molecolare di infezioni molto leggere, quasi inapparenti. Si vede, cioè, il virus in dosi molto, molto ridotte. Ne deriva, quindi, che la capacità replicativa di Covid, a maggio, è enormemente indebolita rispetto a quella che si è avuta a marzo. E questo riguarda pazienti di tutte le età, inclusi gli over 65.
Concorde su queste nuove evidenze del virus, anche il professor Silvestri della Emory University di Atlanta.
Non solo, anche scienziati di Hong Kong e degli USA, stanno notando un indebolimento del virus, una sua minore aggressività, dovuta a varianti virali che presentano grosse alterazioni genetiche, sia in vitro che in vivo, sugli animali, come dimostra uno studio cinese, pubblicato sulla rivista ‘Emerging Microbes & Infections’, ed in linea con la scoperta di Brescia.
Cosa manca, dunque, per chiudere il cerchio ed essere certi che Covid-19 sia in ritirata? Una mappatura del genoma di Covid, per capire quanto stia circolando questa variante più debole e quanto sia geneticamente diversa dalle altre, continua Caruso.
Ma certamente, arriveranno ulteriori conferme.
Il virus si sta esaurendo (9 regioni italiane con 0 contagi, e la Lombardia, la regione con più contagi in Italia, è in netto calo. Solo una decina di giorni fa c’erano più di 400 contagi in Lombardia, adesso siamo scesi a 150 circa), così come accade, a un certo punto (all’incirca dopo 70-80 giorni, questo è il periodo di massima diffusione o di ciclo vitale di un’epidemia, secondo uno studio israeliano), in tutte le epidemie della storia del mondo.
Diversamente, avremmo ancora la peste, la Spagnola e così via.
Siamo ad un passo dall’uscita dal tunnel.
La luce, ora , è forte, e proprio davanti a noi.
E il buio più nero, ormai, è dietro di noi.
