All the Buried People

For a long long time I loved singing but my brother would get mad whenever I did it in front of him. It's fucked up how someone else can just grab love and wrench it and bend it and reroute it 'til it doesn't feel much like love anymore. How someone else can just walk into a mind and section it off and cast permanent shadows everywhere and forever make somebody's joy a little bit smaller. 

All the buried people are screaming in their coffins, knocking at their doom like it'll open like a door, heedless of the dirt that spills in. All the buried people are breaking their bodies while they resist their fate but they don't care because everyone always told them that their bodies didn't mean shit. Pain is a given to all the buried people so they may as well give it to themselves because they can't depend on anyone but themselves. 

None of them have gravestones, no one wanted them in the first place. They only exist because they can't help it. They can't be anything but what they are. 

Who's got a shovel?

Who wants to rescue those people?

Who would bother going about it for someone all bloody and dirty and broken and in so much pain? Who would go to all this trouble for someone who had to be buried because they could not change? Who wants to unearth these anxious, silly, wrong people?

The shovel hits the earth, the shovel hits the earth,

and everything goes terribly still.

All the buried people stop clawing and howling. Their hearts shake in confusion. Tears roll down their dirty faces. Because all the buried people are people as well, and they miss the air. 

Hands pry off the coffin lids and all the buried people go slack because finally. They can give it to someone else. Someone else can carry them and their pain. 

All the unburied people sleep in the trees and by the moonlight for the first time they see their own forms, an outline at last not drawn of pain, of emptiness. They see what they are.

All the beautiful people run with new legs unashamed and crash into each other unashamed and the whole time they are singing loudly and there is nothing in the world that can silence them.

After tying to get close to him for 4 years superman gets hit by kryptonite and Batman rescues him!! Omg this is the perfect chance to make Batman like him!! Right? Right?! superman fucks up and decides to play dead a bit longer than usual which leaves batman to avoid him like the plague for the next couple of months. It’s now up to superman and his handy self Clark to figure out what exactly made Bruce/ Batman this mad and why?
