I'm packing all my belongings in preparation for a big move next week, and I stumbled upon my dice collection. Here are my standard and irregular purples from 4 to 21
The 13-siders are my favorite. I bought one of every color they had in stock at the time
Once I settle into my new apartment I need to find a good way to display my collection so it doesn't wind up in a plastic bag buried in a box under my bed all year.

Note
On top of the standard set, I bought irregular dice numbered 5 through 21
I've always thought about using the d11 as part of a Spinal Tap game, but I couldn't think of a good mechanic to go with it

How do I communicate with my deities?
🔮 Not a professional guide 🔮
Feel free to correct any mistakes if you know more
ʚ Why use more than one method? ɞ ꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷
I think it's important to have more than just one method of divination to communicate with a spirit/deity and/or to seek an answer for a situation in spirituality. This can add information to the previous divination method, or confirm/deny the previous answer, and from there work for the clearest answer you can get.
ʚ Answers that don't make sense ɞ ꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷
The fact that the second answer denies the first one doesn't mean the first one is wrong, nor the second one is correct, or vice versa. If there are contradictory, things that don't make much sense in the answers or something feels off, I recommend looking for things that might be interfering with the process.
Any external factors: an air current in case of scrying or pendulum/irregular surface in case of dice or coin, etc.
Any internal factors: Being tired, in a bad mood, anxious, or just not being grounded. This can interfere in the interpretation, the way you ask questions, the way you execute the divination method, etc.
Not communicating with who you actually want to communicate with: Maybe a trickster (some people believe in them, some don't), maybe you accidentally contacted the wrong spirit, depends.
The spirit is not there: this is personal experience, don't take this as absolute truth. Sometimes I feel like their energy around me is not really strong and the answers are not clear, so I feel like they're not there and therefore they're not answering me.
The divination tools haven't been cleansed: I don't cleanse them all the time, but often enough to be sure.
I might edit these with more
I want to take a moment to remember that we first must think about the physical and why something might be happening. If after reflecting on why this could be happening in our environment there's not really a reason for it or it's happening in an unusual way, we could start thinking about a spiritual reason. (Regarding signs from any spirit, divination or the spiritual in general)
ʚImportant thing before divination ɞ꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷
Check for external factors that might interfere.
Cleanse your tools.
Check on yourself and your mental state, be grounded and calm, there's no rush. Take a moment to breathe and feel your body and environment.
Use some kind of protection, to be sure something that's not invited is getting in your space.
ʚ Methods that I use ɞ ꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷
Pendulum: I use a necklace with a quartz pendant using this.
[↕️]: Yes.
[↔️]: No.
[Still or really soft movement]: Not sure/still thinking/the answer is not set in stone.
Dice: Any dice works for this
[Odd]: No.
[Even]: Yes.
Poker cards: I don't have a tarot deck yet, so I'm working with what I had in hand! There are some cards missing but what can you do, it works pretty nice.
[♥️]: Cups.
[♦️]: Pentacles.
[♣️]: Wands.
[♠️]: Swords.
[J]: Knight.
[Q]: Queen.
[K]: King.
I'm still learning more on each divination method every day, and I really recommend researching constantly to learn more about your tools and different ways of interpretation! This is not much, but it's a good way to start.

Seguime a mí.

Happy Halloween! 🎃
Happy Halloween, everybody! Make sure to be safe and sound going around getting tricks or treats and enjoys the ambiance of fantastic fall! Before it’s soon going to have such an exciting event in November, as a special decorum for this very spooky event that I miss specifically for my team last year, here’re some Halloween performances from the Division of Nara!
“…Honestly, are we really obligated to do this kind of thing on Halloween?” “Absolutely! We’ve already missed to join in the fun last Halloween, you remember? So, this time why don’t we grab this chance to show what our division has made of?!” “That’s right! Think of it as some special serenade for our lovely supporters, Saigo-san. And this is ANGE’s first Halloween! Wouldn’t it be so unfair for her if we don’t let her make some scene with us too?” “Hooray~ (≧ヮ≦) 💕 Is ANGE gonna get involved with everyone this time!?” “Of course, why not? You’re now part of our team —Well then, shall we start…?”

The History of Dice in Gaming: From Ancient Civilizations to Modern Fun
Dice have been a part of gaming for millennia, with a rich history dating back to ancient civilizations. In this article, we'll delve into the captivating story of dice in gaming, from their origins to their significant role in today's tabletop and digital games. Join us as we explore the evolution of this timeless gaming tool.
Ancient Beginnings: The Birth of Dice
The history of dice can be traced back to around 3000 BCE when dice-like objects were discovered in Mesopotamia. These early dice were crafted from bone, clay, or stone, often featuring irregular shapes, which added an element of unpredictability to the games. These discoveries provide a unique insight into the ancient world's love for chance-based games.
Dice in ancient Mesopotamia were not only used for entertainment but also served ritual and divination purposes. It's remarkable to think that these simple objects played a significant role in the lives and beliefs of ancient civilizations.
Dice in Ancient Greece and Rome
As civilization progressed, so did the development of dice. Ancient Greece introduced the concept of six-sided dice, still the most common form today. Crafted from bronze or other metals, these dice featured numbered pips on each face, reminiscent of the dice we use today. Romans also embraced dice for games like "Tesserae," fostering the dice's continued popularity in the gaming world.
The use of dice in ancient Greece and Rome was not limited to entertainment. These cultures recognized the educational and strategic value of dice games. Moreover, the Roman fascination with dice extended to gambling, a practice that was both loved and loathed by different segments of society.
Medieval Europe: The Moralization of Dice
Throughout the Middle Ages, dice games persisted despite opposition from religious and moral authorities who viewed them as a form of gambling. The appeal of dice games endured, offering a form of entertainment that captivated people in Europe.
Dice in medieval Europe were often associated with gambling and were regarded with suspicion. The Church and various authorities made efforts to regulate and sometimes ban dice games. However, these measures did little to dampen the enthusiasm for dice, which continued to be an integral part of medieval social life.
Dice in the Modern Era
The 16th century witnessed the emergence of what we now call "standard dice," with their iconic cube shape and numbered faces from 1 to 6. These dice gained popularity for their simplicity and fairness, becoming a staple in board games, gambling, and various other forms of entertainment.
Dice games in the modern era have evolved significantly. Standard six-sided dice, known as D6, have become a universal tool in games and gambling, offering a balanced and predictable way to introduce chance into various activities. Their simplicity makes them accessible and enjoyable for players of all ages.
Tabletop Role-Playing Games: A New Dawn for Dice
The late 20th century brought about a resurgence in dice-driven gaming, courtesy of tabletop role-playing games (RPGs) like "Dungeons & Dragons." RPGs incorporated various dice types, adding complexity and chance to gameplay. Discover how dice rolls shaped epic adventures and character development.
Tabletop role-playing games introduced a new level of complexity to dice gaming. In D&D, for instance, various types of polyhedral dice, from the iconic 20-sided die to the 4-sided die, are used to determine outcomes. Players relied on dice rolls to decide the success of actions, the outcome of battles, and the development of their characters, creating immersive storytelling experiences.
Dice in Modern Board Games
Modern board games like "Monopoly" and "Settlers of Catan" have embraced dice to introduce elements of randomness and strategy. Explore how dice enhance gameplay and make every session a unique and engaging experience.
Board games with dice have evolved to provide a blend of strategy and chance. Whether it's the roll of the dice determining your resources in "Catan" or your moves in "Monopoly," these games challenge players to make strategic decisions while embracing the element of unpredictability that dice bring.
Digital Dice: The 21st-Century Evolution
In the digital age, dice seamlessly transitioned into video games. Online casinos offer virtual dice games, allowing players to enjoy the thrill of rolling the dice from their homes. Discover the digital evolution of this timeless gaming tool.
Digital dice have opened up new possibilities for gaming. Online casinos provide a platform for virtual dice games, where players can experience the excitement of rolling the dice without needing physical dice. The convenience of digital dice has made them a popular choice for online gamblers, and their use extends beyond casinos to a wide range of digital games.
To The Future
The history of dice in gaming is a testament to the enduring appeal of these versatile tools. From ancient civilizations to modern tabletop and digital games, dice have remained a constant presence. Whether for recreation, gambling, or storytelling, dice continue to capture our imagination and add an exciting element of chance to the games we love.
Dice have truly stood the test of time, evolving with each era and remaining an integral part of human entertainment. As technology advances, we can only imagine how dice will continue to shape the future of gaming, captivating new generations of players and enthusiasts.

Dice Set #353: Grey-White Irregular
(This set marks the first batch of photos I took with my new phone's camera. So, I played around with things a little bit)
(For comparison, I also took the same photos [as close as I could, anyway] with my old phone to see if there was any appreciable difference. I mean, other than the fact that I hadn't really figured out the aspect ratio settings stuff yet. The widescreen shots below are from my old phone)

Jewel - Swapfell Facet Papyrus
Reposting from SkelekinsOld. I've been wanting to talk about him and his bro for a bit. Fun Fact: before Moss & Mycelum I was going to have my first fic star Jewel (and may still do that one).
I don't have his bro done but Im going to post up his first concepts.
Quick Info:
LVL causes monsters to grow in his home. Jewel's refusal to hurt others resulted in him being extremely small compared to other monsters.
Him and his brother have a close relationship with Muffet referring to her as Big Sis. This relationship extends to Muffet's spiders who Jewel enjoys hanging out with since a lot of them are also unleveled.
Doesn't use magic attacks. Instead sets traps which is easier for him to do. Attack magic is physically painful for him. He gets around using blue-attacks with the notion that he is not trying to cause harm but instead stop his opponent so he can flee.
Right socket will bleed purple with magic use (even slight). Has a stained silk handkerchief gifted from Muffet to clean up.
Plays a kazoo like a troll
Due to stunted growth his magic is irregular, especially if he uses it. Crushed green magic helps him regulate it without his body tearing itself apart. He bonds with his bro through rolling his weekly supply.
All fire in the underground is controlled by Grillby (Magby). Lighters are too expensive so he uses Firefly Matches.
He's never been farther than Waterfall (general story takes place before Final Child. By time of Final Child he would be Judge and have met the Queen.)
Collared by his brother - Collar is multifunctional. Its locked with a jewel crafted directly from brother's magic. The collar allows his brother to maintain a perimeter of surveillance around Papyrus to keep him safe. Others can feel if they enter the "danger zone." If Papyrus needs him Sans can access Papyrus' shortcuts through the collar to shortcut to him. Sans cannot shortcut on his own.
Papyrus' is skilled with shortcuts. Its not uncommon for him to make many quick shortcuts in a panic or to scout distances. Panic would see him shortcuttng around a room/area like a bouncy ball to search for an escape. He still has to either see or know where he’s going -> so the mini shortcuts can help him to pre-scout and also scale things like trees. Watching him is probabaly aimiliar to seeing a skipping stone.
Their underground lacks in precious metals resulting in use of crystal instead. As a nod to Cash/Money; Jewels is named after their worlds currency - jewels. (I imagine gems shaped like different sided dice with a hole in the center to hang on a string. The different shapes would help those who can't see).
Jewel is inspired by KH_Swapfell and Cash/Money

Hi Hello I actually make things sometimes
I don't know if anyone who follows me is interested in this stuff bc I very rarely post things from my own life, but I decided to be a little more active on here besides reblogging funny shit regarding my current hyperfixation.
So, here is the (incomplete) crafting diary of a neurodivergent trans person surviving christmas with the family and the dark and dreadful times (winter) in general by making shit! with my hands!
First: fiber stuff
I picked up tablet weaving over the last few months of 2023 and made my first pair of somewhat mistake-free shoelaces over the holidays! Only got the pattern completely right on the second try with the red but both laces now get to add a fun little detail to my shoes.
Next I tried a more complicated pattern and experimented a lot, hence the irregular pattern and troubleshooting at the start of the band. I'm now repurposing it as a camera strap and I learned a lot from it tho.
My current setup is basic cardboard tablets (I had to make extra ones so I had enough for the last band with 30 cards), tying the warp to something sturdy like a bookshelf, and sitting down with a backstrap belt on the other side of the room. I used thin wool yarn for this, which stuck to itself quite a lot, but not too much to be unmanagable, and I really like how the finished product feels.
If anyone's interested, I could make a longer post on how I made the shoelaces, I think it's a very beginner friendly project.
I managed to get my hands on a drop spindle and gave that a try, but I ran out of wool after making a very small amount of very chunky yarn and am currently working out where to best get sth local. It was fun tho!
I also finally finished the knitted scarf that has been in my wip pile for... approximately three years? I started it when I was still in school, feels like an eternity ago. It's just a simple (although very long) red wool scarf, but it keeps me nice and warm in this cold, harsh- *checks weather* ...5°C and neverending rain.
Next up: woodworking!
Noodled around with my grandpa's old dremel that we still had lying around, which resulted in this truly terrifying weapon:
Behold! I named it Toothling. It's great for poking friends and family when they least expect it.
This was more of a test run to see if it all still works and to try out doing small scale work with wood, now I gotta think of something fun to make. (I say, as if I didn't already have 50 different ideas)
Before that fuckery, I made this magnetic dice box/rolling tray for my lovely partner's birthday.
Though I don't feel like I can take credit for working the CNC magic on this, I did all the hands-on work with the sanding, assembling the magnets, shellac coating, and whatnot. I'm pretty sure wood is some sort of fruit tree, since it smells strongly of what I suspect might be plum or cherry.
Last but sure as fuck not least: embroidery
This I actually get professional instruction for at uni. I've kinda lost patience for it atm, but mostly because I cannot resist making unnecessarily complicated pieces with tiny little stitches and then am forced to finish it because I do actually kinda need to pass this class. My lecturer keeps telling me not to go so detailed, yet I have proven resistant to her good advice. But, I figured if I have to make two full pieces of embroidery to be graded on and put hours of work into, I might as well choose designs that I can turn into patches for my jacket:
Catha and Ruidus! I love me some big moon little moon imagery. The prompt was to incorporate most of the techniques/stitches we've learned so far. Added the little gold chain stitch around ruidus for the arcane latticework. It came out a little wonky shape wise, but I love it nonetheless.
And my most recent wip, a stained glass window design with the Ninth House skull and Gideon's sword behind it, to feed my current Locked Tomb obsession.
And that's it!

Several days after #007 Side Masaomi - Book 2, Season 1
The story is below, in English. The following text in spanish is my commentary.
That day, unusually, she stayed in the living room even after she had finished cleaning up after dinner.
(Oh, maybe this is my chance)
That thought crosses my mind.
In fact, even though we live in the same apartment building, we don't often have the chance to see each other.
When I get busy working at a hospital, I find it difficult to come home and end up working 24 hours a day.
Even if that wasn't the case, my days off tended to be irregular, so it was quite difficult to find an opportunity to talk to her.
.... I'm the only one who thinks that way,
and when I told Ukyo,
Ukyo: “Masaomi-niisan is not very good at managing his time.”
I was afraid he would get angry, so I told Kaname,
Kaname: "Isn't it just a question of feelings?"
I'm sure that would just be dismissed.
--Anyway.
Right now, we're both in the living room.
Plus, it looks like she has some free time.
(Great. I'll tell her tonight.)
That's what I was thinking when I walked towards her. / Approached her
Masaomi: "Hey."
"...Haha~"
She yawned.
Perhaps because she was tired, she yawned so loudly that her pharynx was clearly visible.
Masaomi: ".......Ah"
"......Huh"
Time stops. I can see her cheeks gradually turning red.
(Um, well)
What should I do in a situation like this?
Smiling would feel strange, laughing would be wrong, and ignoring her would be unnatural.
For a moment, my mind went blank, and I couldn't say anything.
"... I'm so sorry!"
But then, she apologized to me first.
Masaomi: "Oh, well, you know, there's really nothing to apologize for..."
This can't go on like this. Anyway, I have to say something.
Masaomi: "Ah, you see."
I tried saying that anyway.
"Y-yes."
She answered while covering her mouth with one hand.
...No good.
As I watched that gesture, I became more and more confused.
Anything is fine. Just something that you think she'll be interested in.
Masaomi: "Um, well... I want to ask about games."
I blurted that out before I realized it.
"Huh?"
She looked at me with a puzzled expression. ...But those eyes weren't accusatory.
Masaomi: "Ah... well... you see."
Inwardly, I felt a little relieved as I connected the words.
Masaomi: "Actually, Wataru wanted to play a game..."
" Wataru -chan?"
Masaomi: "Uh, yeah. I was thinking, maybe you could find something, because... I have no idea what would be good."
"Oh, I see."
Masaomi: "So, I was wondering if you could help me..."
"Shall I bring it?"
She suddenly said that.
Masaomi: "Huh?"
"I have something good. I'll bring it over right away."
Masaomi: "Um... well..."
I give up.
I never expected to get such a reaction. But now I can't say that I just blurted something out.
Masaomi: "I-I'm glad to hear that. But isn't it bothersome?"
"No way, not at all. Oh, by the way, Masaomi-san, why don't you come and play too? It's a game that can be played by three people."
Masaomi: "Oh... is that so? Okay, just a little then."
"Okay. Just wait!"
She ran out of the living room. In the end, the three of us - me, her, and Wataru - spent the night playing games.
.......
(Hmm, what should I do?)
A few days later, one afternoon, I was feeling a bit lost and eating lunch alone in the kitchen.
(I never thought I'd have so few opportunities.)
I opened the photo album on the table. There was a picture of a woman dressed in formal attire.
(As expected, it would be bad to say it later. Somehow, today...)
While I was thinking about this, I suddenly heard a loud voice from behind me.
Kaname: "Whoa, who is this beautiful woman?!?"
I turned around and saw Kaname standing there. It seemed he had been asleep until just a moment ago. His eyes were blurry, as if he had just woken up.
Masaomi: "Good morning, Kaname."
Kaname: "Masami-nii, are you off today?"
Masaomi: "Yeah, I just finished the night shift. I have something to do tomorrow, so I took today off to prepare for it. What about you?"
Kaname: "Me? I'm off today. I drank too much yesterday. It was Friday, so..."
Masaomi: "...Ah, I see."
Since it’s Kaname, I'm sure they were having fun making a fuss.
Masaomi: "Did you find a nice person?"
Kaname: "Ah, nothing like that, we were just hanging out. They were really fun, but that's all."
Kaname glances at the photo in the album again.
Kaname: "But, well...how should I put it, isn't she surprisingly beautiful? Is she an acquaintance?"
Masaomi: "Yeah, I guess so."
Kaname: "Really? Can you introduce me to her next time?"
Masaomi: "Yeah, that's fine."
Kaname: "Ah, are you sure? By the way, who is that?"
Masaomi: "Oh, that person is..."
Just as I was about to say that, as if struck by lightning, an idea flashed in my mind.
Masaomi: "That's it!"
Maybe because I suddenly yelled out loud, Kaname looked surprised.
Masaomi: "Hey, Kaname, I have a favor to ask of you. Can you help me?"
Kaname: "...M-Masa-nii?"
Kaname looked at me with a doubtful expression.
.......
"What is it, Kaname-san?"
A few hours later, she came into the living room. She had just come home from school and was still in her uniform.
Kaname: "Oh, I'm sorry, little sister."
"I came home in a hurry because you said it was important. It's really important, isn't it?"
She said, as if to emphasize. Kaname's face twisted in a slightly sad expression.
Kaname: "It’s not like that, little sister. You could trust me a bit more, wouldn't you?"
"...I would like to do that if possible."
That's a surprisingly harsh thing to say. Even Kaname was smiling bitterly.
Kaname: "...Well, it's okay, imoto-chan will understand eventually. More importantly, it's actually Masa-nii who has something to tell little sister."
"Masaomi-san?"
She turns to me.
Kaname: "Come on, Masa-nii."
Kaname urges me on. He's made all the effort to set things up for me, so I can't let this opportunity go to waste.
Masaomi: "Yeah, that's right. I wanted to talk to you sooner, but I just couldn't put it into words. So I asked Kaname for reinforcements."
"Oh. Reinforcements... huh?"
She looks puzzled.
I hurried on.
Masaomi: "Well, there was something I wanted to talk about, but I didn't know how to start the conversation. So I was totally stuck. You see, the point is that he's used to things like this, or rather he's good at treating women..."
“W-what are you talking about?”
She gave me a suspicious look.
(Oh no, I have no choice. I'll just say it all at once.)
I take a deep breath and say it.
Masaomi: "You see, I actually have an omiai tomorrow."
"Eh?"
Her voice aches in my heart.
Masaomi: "I'm sorry I didn't tell you until the last minute... This is the person..."
While saying this, I handed her the album.
"Wow..."
She looked inside and let out a sigh of awe.
"She's really beautiful... What kind of person is she?"
Masaomi: "She's the daughter of the chairman of the hospital where I work."
"What!"
She cried out. She must have been very surprised because her voice was trembling.
"The chairman's daughter?!?!? You have an omiai with her? Where did you meet her?!?!"
Masaomi: "It was a while ago when I was on the night shift, there was an emergency. It was a young woman who had choked on something."
I continued to explain as I got the album back.
Masaomi: "It would have been easy to remove it with open surgery, but the person accompanying her said that the patient was a famous singer, and we shouldn’t under any circumstance cut her throat."
"And so?"
Masaomi: "I had no choice, so I took charge and tried a method that didn't require surgery. I was a little worried, but fortunately, it worked."
"Wow... Masaomi, you're amazing."
Masaomi: “Well, it’s not that much..."
To be honest, I feel a little embarrassed when I get praised so much.
(I don't like the sight of blood... so if I can avoid surgery, that's the best thing.)
Masaomi: "... anyway."
I cleared my throat lightly before continuing.
Masaomi: "When everything went well, the person accompanying the patient was even happier than the patient himself. She said that I was the pride of our hospital or something. I thought that was a strange thing to say, but it turned out that the person accompanying the patient was the daughter of the hospital's chairman."
"That's what happened."
Masaomi: "After that, the daughter came to the hospital occasionally. We used to talk occasionally. Then, the other day, the manager suddenly called me and told me about the omiai."
"I see..."
Masaomi: "I'm sorry I didn't tell you until now."
I bowed to her.
Masaomi: "She's the president's daughter, and the manager is the intermediary, so I couldn't refuse. Do you understand?'
"Of course."
Her face lit up with a smile.
"That's a great offer. There's no reason to refuse it."
Masaomi: "Huh?"
This time it was my turn to be surprised.
Masaomi: "Aren't you angry?"
"Why would I be angry?"
Masaomi: "N-no... that's fine. For some reason, I thought you would."
"That's not true. I'm praying that it all works out!"
Masaomi: "...I-I see, thank you."
After she left, I looked back at Kaname.
Masaomi: "She didn't seem to mind at all. I guess I wasted my time worrying about it."
Kaname: "Well, I don't think it's a question of profit or loss. But Masa-nii, was that, okay? "
Masaomi: "Yeah. I'm glad I was able to talk to her before tomorrow."
My worries were resolved, and I felt my heart lighten.
(Huh?)
--At that moment.
(What is this?)
I certainly felt a great sense of relief. But somewhere in my heart, something was bothering me.
That sense of discomfort hadn't existed until just now. However, I feel it clearly now.
(...What's wrong with me?)
.......
—The next day.
As I was walking along the road, which was becoming engulfed in dusk, my cell phone rang.
Masaomi: "Hello."
Kaname: "Masa-nii."
I heard Kaname's voice.
Masaomi: "Oh, Kaname. What's wrong?"
Kaname: "Masa-nii, where are you now?"
Masaomi: "I'm near the hotel. I just finished the omiai, I was thinking about going home now..."
Kaname: "Oh, wait a minute."
Kaname interrupts me.
Kaname: "I want to talk for a bit. Let's meet at Kichijoji station. How long will it take to get there?"
Masaomi: "Yeah... about 40 minutes."
Kaname: "Okay. See you later then."
Then the call went off.
(What was going on? Kaname's voice sounded very serious though...)
.......
Kaname took me to a bar located near Kichijoji station
It was quite spacious, even though it was underground. Perhaps because it was early in the day, there were few customers, and it was quiet.
Kaname: "How is it here?"
Masaomi: "Yeah, it looks quite relaxing."
At Kaname's urging, we sat at the edge of a large table. Kaname ordered a whiskey on the rocks, and I asked the bartender to make me a sweet cocktail.
Kaname: "So..."
After a quick toast, Kaname said.
Kaname: "So what happened in the end?"
Masaomi: "You mean the omiai?"
Kaname: "Yeah. I mean, what else would I ask about?"
Masaomi: "Yeah, that's right. She was a really nice person."
Kaname: "So... it’s decided."
Masaomi: "That's right. I had decided on the answer before we met."
Kaname: “Well, yeah, I get it."
Kaname tilts his glass.
Kaname: "It's just perfect. So, what are your plans?"
Masaomi: "Plans?"
When I asked him again, Kaname looked dumbfounded.
Kaname: "Well, I mean, engagement ceremony, wedding ceremony, etc..."
Masaomi: "W-wait a second. What are you talking about, Kaname?"
Kaname: "I mean, Masa-nii's wedding..."
Masaomi: "What?!?!?!"
I couldn't help but shout out loud.
Masaomi: "When did I say I was getting married?"
Kaname: "Well, I mean..."
Kaname was unusually at a loss for words.
Kaname: "You said it earlier, you've decided."
Masaomi: "Yeah, I planned to turn it down from the beginning."
Kaname: "What?!"
Kaname's mouth drops open.
Kaname: "Are you going to refuse?"
Masaomi: "Yeah. Because if I get married, I'll have to leave home, right? Then I won't be able to be by her side."
Kaname: "What... does that mean..."
Masaomi: "I made a promise."
I said. For some reason, it felt like my voice was stronger than usual.
Masaomi: "On the way back from our mother's wedding. I told her I'd be by her side forever. I can't break that promise."
Kaname: "She... are you talking about imoto-chan...?"
Masaomi: "Of course."
I nodded.
Masaomi: “Who else would it be?”
Kaname: "Wait a minute, Masa-nii. If you were going to refuse, you didn’t have to tell imoto-chan that you were going to an omiai, right?"
Masaomi: "But...I don't want to keep a secret from her."
Silence fell. Kaname stared at me for a while, then he let out a big sigh.
Kaname: "Ah... so that's how it is. Wow, I'm surprised. I see, I can't believe Masa-nii... haaa."
He sighs repeatedly.
Masaomi: "What's wrong, Kaname?"
Kaname: "No, don't worry about it. I was just surprised to find a rival in an unexpected place."
Masaomi: "Rival?"
I have no idea what he's talking about.
Kaname: "But...surprisingly, it's the ones who don't have awareness that are the toughest."
Just as Kaname was muttering these words to himself, I received a call on my cell phone.
Masaomi: "Hello."
"Oh, is this Masaomi-san?"
It was her call.
Masaomi: "Yeah. What's wrong?"
"Um... how was your day?"
Masaomi: "Yeah, it's over. I had to decline."
"What?!"
The tone of the voice that came from the phone changed.
"Oh, is that so? Sorry, I thought it was decided..."
(...Huh? Why did everyone think that?)
“So, I ended up baking a cake to celebrate...”
Masaomi: "Oh, that's right. It's fine, don't worry about it. Right, let's eat it together. I'll be home soon, so could you cut a slice for me?"
"Yeah, but..."
Masaomi: "It's okay. I'll eat it since you baked it."
I hung up the phone and turned to Kaname.
Masaomi: "Let’s go home. She baked a cake. Let's all eat it together."
Kaname: "...I'm fine."
Kaname said.
Kaname: "I'm going to drink a bit more here, so you go home first. You and imoto-chan can have the cake together."
Masaomi: "Just the two of you? Kaname, that's weird."
Kaname: "It's fine, just do it. I'll give it to you for today."
Kaname didn't say anything more but sighed again and sipped his glass.
I left the bar, wondering about Kaname's behavior.
When I went outside, a pleasant breeze was blowing.
(Ahh, that feels good.)
Come to think of it, the vague feeling of unease I had when I told her about the omiai has completely disappeared.
(Okay! Let's go home.)
I started walking through the streets of Kichijoji. She was waiting for me at home. Thinking about that made me walk faster.
Me inspira mucha confianza 🫠 trust issues where?
