i have no art skills so have my slasher au final girl as a sim

any pronouns ("i identify as whatever the bit calls for"), goes by "em" but will also answer to any name, stoic but full of whimsy, does whatever usually but has first aid training, can be bribed with food when it concerns anything suspicious, likes their men fruity & pathetic (they leave notes for sun and moon both)

Moon is a biiiig blended smoothie. He is soso out of wack it's crazy. You can thank the blender.

See, in the dark, when we are seen as an 'enemy' in the story, he's very quick to try and attack. sometimes he's aware of what he's doing. he'd basically apologize while he hurts you because he has zero control over himself.

Sometimes he'll hurt you as a way of showing affection because he's unable to sense that it's wrong, because the interactions that he has when the lights are off are typically different then when they're on.

But the second we pop into the light he's very happy. He knows that you're safe and you do WANT to help him. He's very gullible too, unfortunately. most of our first interactions are going to start off in that controlled environment, and his mood changes are so quick.

That isn't to say that he's always good just because you're in the light. Sometimes he will hate you and get upset with you, even if it has no apparent reason. When he's upset he tends to try and get to you more. if he's that pissed, oh boy you're done.

but he gets better !! a lot of this story is built off of characters that are getting better. some have to get worse before they get better. and I want to convey that in the right way. Moon wants to get better and be happy, but sun wants to fix it on his own, pushing away everyone just to stop trying to help himself like he intended in the first place(rinse and repeat). because him and moon are one character in this au(more on that in a post made prior that you can find in the #time still stands tag), this has a big effect on how Moon is able to cope and get help.

The big thing about Moon is that he hurts people, but whether he wants to or not, he still wants to get better.

I thought the books said that Sun and Moon used to be theatre animatronics repurposed for the daycare?

to my knowledge the story is that they used to work in the theater, with sun serving as the main act who would turn evil when the lights turned off (which is where moon came from). when they were moved into the daycare they were reprogrammed to remove all their performance functions, but that darkness trigger couldn't be removed. and that, combined with the daycare area being prone to blackouts, caused moon to be a thing?

i don't know if their past as a theater animatronic is actually elaborated on beyond that though.. we actually don't even know if they were supposed to be important to the story at all

Did you know? The animatronics of FNAF: Security Breach run on Windows!

I've recently been analyzing the intro of FNAF SB (mainly for a piece im working on - but also because im a computer scientist nerd), just trying to gather about what Freddy's POV looks like, why he glitches, and generally sort of understand how the animatronics might work!

This is a frame from the intro, specifically the moment when Freddy starts to glitch out - a lot is happening right here - a lot of interesting stuff might I add, especially those messages by the left (which i am not going to get too into detail in this post, because thats a WHOOLE another can of worms) - but where I want you to focus is by the little messages around the top right corner of the screen.

You might inmediately recognize the word system32 there - the common name for one of the main system folders for Windows operating systems!

Since we see the ">" symbol after system32, we can assume this is text box is a command box of sorts, and the first command that we see getting executed is being run from the system32 folder.

So, yes. Freddy, the other Glamrocks, and likely the DCA, Staff bots and DJ Music Man all very likely run on a Windows-based operating system.

What does this mean though? A lot!! This could help us understand how they work - how the virus infected and affected them, even what they're probably capable of doing - and also what they aren't capable of as well (without taking into consideration the oo spooky remnant evil spirit virus thingy and all).

I might go into another of these long rambles about how the animatronics work, im still trying to study the individual command lines that we can see in the intro. The fnaf reddit has also been a lot of help!

DLKASFJAKLFJ YOU!!! YOU GET IT!! i usually don't reblog my own posts but the tags in this one arrrhggg. I thought about everything there when I was making this!! The way each of them is running is not just to make them different poses from one another! (it's that too BUT!) It's also to try to reflet this moment in the fanfic and the context of WHY they're running!!

yooo so I started working on this when I finished reading Sleuth Jesters by @naffeclipse (not sure if you okay with tagging, i'll delete if not) some weeks ago and it absolutely destroyed my heart :D

the scene where they ran after the Vigilante after discovering their "secret"? Tears??? At 4AM??? More likely than you think!!

so yeah this piece is based on that scene, yes I took very long, yes I forgot to post it, kiss kisss muah
