new trailer got me going crazy, theory time because im completely convinced our new girls are witches

i think the most obvious explanation for green girls witch is gertrud. to me she seems suspicious, and what’s gertrud’s nature??? distrustful.

she has glasses too! and gertrud’s familiars are said to have 20/8 vision

like i said, im definitely convinced she’s gertrud, but i saw someone point out that she may be patricia?

i think it fits with the scene of the cafe and patricia’s onlooker nature, so that’s my other guess

now this girl is more interesting to me. i don’t know why but when i saw her i immediately thought of albertine. she’s obviously young, and i assume she’s similar to nagisa in naivete.

we got like two seconds of her so i don’t want to assume too much but, maybe her and nagisa bonded over a complicated home life? albertine is suspected to struggle with a neglectful family.

albertine’s nature is ignorance, and any child thrown into being a magical girl would be ignorant to the dangers of it

also im getting paola vibes, no idea where, but im getting them

now my other theory is that she’s actually a villain. perhaps using her youth as a facade? like quitterie’s kyubey disguise??? perchance…

by the silhouette of quitterie’s magical girl, she looks like a smaller (younger?) girl, and pigtails

now there’s the scene of our girl with kyubey so, maybe they’re working together

these are my other suspicions. i honestly think it could be any of them, i just dont have any evidence for it

i think he'd root for kris, or frisk, or whoever the protagonist is. he's just weird, and doesn't know how else to express interest without speaking in cryptic monolouge. he's not hatching an evil plan, he's just a little outdated.

the fact that we know nichelle and axel are on the same team in the second season. and since they were early boots in the first season they will probably make it far this season. it gives me the slightest glimmer of hope that they will at the very least be friends. if not something else [lesbians]

watching kotaro lives alone like. not hopper finding el, but el somehow slipping under the radar through a series of improbably coincidences and renting a shitty apartment with cash she "picked up" somehow. she stays away from the party for protection, remembering all of the government agents who went after them.

steve harrington renting in the same shitty apartment complex after getting kicked out by his parents. no college, no inheritance, no lavish house. and yeah, he knew that his new place was a huge downgrade, but he didn't expect to have a four year old neighbor living alone next door (she's twelve. maybe.)

eleven has that independent mentality, resistant to any authority figure, but she finds herself asking steve for help with basic things. and steve is also figuring out how to survive, his need to protect el encouraging him to be more responsible in his own life. he starts to learn easy recipes, tries to teach el elementary school math, and accidentally introduces her to soap operas.

steve doesn't really expect the secret super-powered government experiment to be renting, so he never really connects the dots. like, to be completely honest, he didn't think about the fact that a preteen was living by themselves and trying to be self-sufficient. maybe because he sees himself in her, or maybe he's become a little paranoid since seeing the demogorgon and i don't know....

an aside: I FORGOT STEVE WAS STILL IN SCHOOL IN SEASON 2.... ignore ignore ignore it's about concept

But the second the light shines on them (or at least appears on their face)-
