i was complaining about how i still think the undercity is a bit too bright but yknow what. I get it now.
like, you're in the undercity and you feel like it's not THAT bad, like it's just like daytime
and then the plate collapses and the towns are lighted up in a way that is... just... wrong. it's too bright, almost blinding.
and then you look up and see the hole in the plate and it's like. Oh. I got so used to the normal Shinra implanted in this town and the way it still meddled too much with our perception of normal that now just having a real, natural sun feels wrong.
fucked up!!!
#i still do think they could have made the towns slightly less bright#but they manage to strike the 'artificial brightness vs real brightness' contrast so what works works?#slightly losing my mind to all those sidequests tho btw#i'll do them all because i'm a completionist#but it's probably the most 'we need to stretch the plot out' section of the game#im going to start biting#ichablogging ffviirg
