AHHH Please ramble about your au, I'm so curious 👀

YAYAYAY IM SO GLAD YOU'D LIKE TO HEAR ABOUT IT

SLIGHT SPOILERS FOR IN STARS AND TIME!

Okay so I'm still kind of working on it but in the AU (which doesn't have a set name, but i refer to it as In Friends And Time), the King and Siffrin met one another on the island and became close friends from when they were kids all the way to the point where the island disappears.

With the island disappearing, ISAT plays out like it normally does but at the very end of the game when the King gets his memories back, he recognizes Siffrin as his old friend and like see's them as his friend whilst Siffrin still see's him as a enemy. (Or i think another version my friend, @berivokcs , came up with was Siffrin also got that memory back).

Some smaller details i thought about for the AU was that Kidfrin and Kid King met on like a old abandoned playground that kid King kinda claimed as a castle or something since nobody stays there, and Kidfrin's like "oh cool, abandoned playground :D" and meets him there. I think it turned into a whole hangout spot over the years they were friends, like they've got stuff hidden around the place and stuff to camp out in the playground. As I said, I'm still chipping away at it so its real far from perfect and still pretty rough, but I will add onto this when I figure out more! I apologize if this is confusing, I'll try my best to explain parts if needed!

Lil bonus art of Kidfrin, I like to think Kidfrin pretended to be a knight for a little bit after learning that kid king used the old playground as a palace of sorts. (Kinda like what the picture above shows :p)

SLENDERMAN IN MY AU

Absolutely! I’ll give you the run down of slenderman. Im so sorry your ask is so late, I’m horrible at keeping my motivation up D:

I have a whole time line explaining the situation with Zalgo that I’m working on so I won’t talk about him right now if that’s okay.

Slenderman is not the main focus of my AU. It’s more so about the creeps and the cult that caused the forest to be the way it is ;)

Au post

Physical Appearance

He is still a tall, gaunt figure with unnaturally long limbs and an eerie, faceless visage.

However.. the only difference is he doesn’t have his iconic tentacles or suit.

He is quite literally just an extremely tall, pale and faceless entity.

He is a silent, motionless figure who needs no words nor movement..he is something watching, always watching.

Origins and Purpose

Slenderman's origins are shrouded in mystery, but he is believed to be as old as the forest itself.

As you already know: he awakens every five years for a duration of one year.

He seeks to harvest as much fear as possible and come the closest he can to civilisation within that year before he is compelled to return to his slumber.

When he awakens, the forest itself seems to react, growing darker and more foreboding, as if aware of the evil stirring within.

During his year of wakefulness, Slenderman is feeding off victims brought by his proxies, these victims are Wanderers and random strangers who got lost on hiking trails.

As the year progresses and his time grows short, Slenderman’s activities become more frantic and desperate (meaning people usually go missing during the autumn/winter months).

At the end of the year, Slenderman retreats back into the depths of the forest, his resting place. The woods gradually return to their “natural state”, and the sense of dread lifts.

Prey and Proxies

He preys on those who venture too far into his territory, purposely or not.

So.. like I mentioned, Hikers, campers, and the curious who stray from the path as well as Wanderers.

Proxies are essentially Wanderers (dead) bodies that ended up getting possessed by him, they carry out his will and bring victims to him in Zones 3 and 2 of the forest.

They are extensions of his power and have no further reason in life other than to assist him, they are rotting corpses who are nothing but puppets of Slenderman.

Proxies do things such as stalk, kidnap, or even harm victims just to instill fear for Slender Man to feed off.

They do these acts in either Zone 3 or Zone 2 of the forest (depending on how far Slenderman has been able to travel).

The fear generated by these actions empowers Slender Man, enabling him to maintain his influence and grow stronger.

Attacking

When proxies are not available he attacks on his own.

Slenderman’s approach is slow and methodical compared to the violent and brutal nature of the proxies.

He does not attack directly but instead instills fear through subtle and relentless psychological torment.

His victims experience hallucinations, hear whispers in the wind, and feel an unshakable sense of being watched.

As their fear intensifies, Slenderman grows stronger, feeding off their terror until they ultimately die.

what's the deal with medicine cats and like starclan stuff? kinda curious how you plan on doing characters like nicklaus and the trickster also

AWH IM SO GLAD YOU LIKE IT AHEHEH the response on these posts has been so positive its making me so giddy. Here's some info about each clan's med cat situation, vague starclan stuff and also some info on those two evil guys at the very end :D

Riptideclan doesn't have a set medicine cat, but most clanmates have at least a little knowledge on herbs and healing. Fishstrike ( Gillion ) especially seems to know a lot and would seem like a perfect choice for the role but he's way too good at fighting and the Tribe engraved the warrior life into him so theres not much hope there.

In Rapidclan, the role alternates. There's always two medicine cats on duty. Now in the actual podcast, we don't get a lot of Navy names, so unfortunately there's not a lotta cats in Rapidclan we can name, but they're definitely a big ass clan, we just can't actually design and think about all of them </3

In Goreclan, there's a few, but they're also trained to fight so they can protect their clan even as medicine cats. The training process is very exhausting.

In Havenclan, Fernpelt ( Professor Cross ^_^ ) is the assigned medicine cat, but some cats prefer to learn herbs on their own instead of going to the guy. Nobody knows where the fuck he came from or how he got the role but it's kind of worrying

Regarding Starclan, there's not much to talk about honestly! One of the main key aspects is that the Council Characters ( the dms ) are mostly in a state of leadership over it. Spiritwhisper ( William ) and Sunrock ( Peter ) also have some stuff going on with it, you can find the post where I talked about Exandroth a little bit here!!

As for Niklaus and the Trickster — Niklaus is well . Inside the Wishing Pond, think Moonpool but eviler sometimes. His name is just Wishingpond. I talked about the Wishing Pond here!! The Trickster is a dark forest cat. If you've read the books, Ivypool's df arc is kind of similar to the shit Magpie ( ashe ) is up to, she's just not planning an attack on the clans or anything. The Trickster's clan name is Swiftwing :3

Roommate situations:

Trevor has a roommate, but they aren't a character in the story so I haven't thought about who they are too much. They share a traditional college double. Trevor has the top bunk. He just transferred in for the spring semester, so he hasn't made many friends yet.

Arasha, Angela, and Chanse have a little college apartment with a common room and a shared bathroom. Arasha and Angela share a room and Chanse has his own.

Erin and Heidi share a double.

Spencer and Alex Tran share a double. Tommy and Kiana both have singles in the same hallway/floor as Spencer and Alex.

Kimmy and Jackie live together off-campus. They rent a small 2-bedroom house cheaply from Kimmy's aunt.

All of the seniors in the story - Shayne, Courtney, Damien, Olivia, and Keith - share a college apartment with a common room and a full kitchen. Shayne and Damien share a room, Court and Olivia share a room, and Keith has his own room.

Amanda and Sarah weren't roommates when they were in school, but they were friends and probably had a lot of sleepovers.

And finally, when Ian and Anthony were in school, they were roommates all four years! (oh my god, they were roommates)

Other tidbits:

Before he transferred, Trev did a year at a culinary school. He also went to a high school that offered a culinary program.

Trevor is shown on his phone a lot in this AU because he's texting his friends from his old school. One of them is Josh (as in Mythical Chef Josh), who was childhood friends with Shayne. Josh asked Shayne to look out for Trevor, and Shayne is happy to do so!

Arasha skipped a grade in elementary school, so even though she's a sophomore, she's about Trevor's age.

On the other hand, Spencer and Damien both took a gap year, so they're a little older than their counterparts in the same year.

Chanse, Angela, and Arasha have weekly wine and movie nights, where each of them brings a bottle of wine to try and they pick a show or movie to watch in their PJs.

Kimmy and Jackie have parties fairly frequently, probably about once a month. I think nearly everyone in the cast has probably spent the night there at least once.

Spencer is one of the only ones with a car on campus, so he often finds himself carting his friends to the grocery store, pharmacy, etc. Sometimes he and Tommy go on late night drives when Tommy's feeling overwhelmed.

Hi. SO. I just read your newest fic, the human au one, and may i just say....

HOLY SHOT I AM PHYSICALLY IN PAIN MY GOD I AM HURTING SO MUCH LIKE FOR REALSIES

im not much for crying, but there were at least 5 distinct moments that make me full body heaving SOB, like i was reading the fist 1/6th or so in front of my family and then had to retreat so I could finish it in peace.

I know I'd be curious so the 5 parts were

1.) when mikey found Leo outside of Splinter's door and LEo couldn't hug him back so then Mikey hugged twice as hard. yeah that part had me weeping.

2.) When I realized that Leo was really giving up on Basketball, oh my god I had to take a lap my stomach physically hurt thinking about him being in that position and slowly realiizng that he did it to himself I was crying into my little turtle plushie just crying my god

3.) When the family had the little meeting after he offered Mikey the comics, I needed to take another quick little lap because they care about him so much and he can't even see that but they care so much and I just hurt so much for this poor boy

4.) When Raph said something about having a secret group chat MY GOD I literally had to close my laptop and go stim for a second like CAN YOU IMAGINE if they did have one, even one that was well meaning like in death wish just to talk about updates on his condition, if he discovered one that wa even well meaning it would have absolutly broken him

5.) When splinter immedietly ran to him during the reveal like oh god i think i literally just ugly sobbed into my pillow they love him so much good lord-

there was definitly more but those are the only ones i can think of off the top of my head. So like I said on the reddit post this is like a theory?? IG? where David is going through his own Paradox that intersects with Dale's during Birthday but the outcome is always either him dying then or after, like at some point he gets killed. He comes back and has to do it all over again and each time it messes with him more. His memories get fucked up, he forgets a lot so he leaves himself notes EVERYWHERE (which is what he was recounting in the comic; His name, his family, what he did to Dale, what he has to do, his mission, etc) he is still somewhat corrupted tho so the task is difficult and he struggles to keep his thoughts and memories intact so he's living on borrowed time. Honestly I thought of expanding on that comic and making it a full thing but haha... that would require me to sit down and write a script and all and actually ARRANGE my thoughts for such a thing.

Anyway, I'm glad you and others are curious about it. Thank you for writing and hope this answer is good enough :D

How does Fang feel about the siblings being put in cages for being "dangerous"? Does he feel sick since if it wasn't for him being Kaizo's brother he too would be in one of those cages?

Does duri experience a PTSD induced panic attack when he and cahaya got captured by Kaizo? How does he feel being captured again? Does it remind him of the lab?

How does duri feel about the purple brothers in general?

And finally, when did Fang fell in love or develop a crush on cahaya?

First of all:

Ur Ink u did for Inktober was really pretty. Look forward to any more Inktober pictures u can do. Only if u can though.

2nd of all: That Halloween Special AU art of Paps and Sans was so cute! Small baby-ish (demon; I think) Paps and teethwear (demon; I think) and/or braces Sans are so cute. I like their aesthetic too.

3rd of all: I was wondering how u been doing on any of ur projects

(like, Dead Ringer, which, I am very excited for the next episode of, and to see some of Sans, Paps, and Frisk's story of Dead Ringer. Will hopefully say something about Ep3 like I have done about the other previous episodes in some form. Or also like Bonnytale; which I read ur update(s) about on it's blog. And I am also very excited about. Or Inkuabtor. Ok, I probably spelled that wrong. Which, I am curious about. And the TikToks of it have been fun. I do hope u share it's story besides TikTok though. 4th of all: It looks like Hazbin Hotel is coming out in January, and if u are still doing Underhell, that means u will be getting more for that AU/series soon. Which is super cool. I love that AU, and the art and character stuff and stuff have done with it so far.

1. I have been doing some inktober works however I’m currently in a headspace where im overally critical with my work so i haven’t been posting them (here’s one i did but i redid it i will post the new one later today)

2. i love my little vamp au even tho i have not build on it and aren’t planning to its still fun to me and im glad u enjoyed it ^-^

3.deadringer process is still slow as i’m focused on college but i have been getting a lot of progress done in which i honestly didn’t think i would, turns out hang drawing/animating as a stress reliever helps me grandly lmao. Also i’m proud of the improvements from the first episode to this one.

As for inkubator I do plan on posting it on Tumblr. So it will only be available on Tumblr and Tiktok! I might have to make another blog for it ooo

4. I have been doing redesigns and story updates on underhell but i haven’t been able to work on it as much as im hyperfixiated on my purple babies (deadringer) and inkubator :’D I will take a look at that though!

JAJAJAJAJA lmao Dream making a flower in mid-fight with [Pyro] Sapnap killing everthing. Which I got to say, I would love Sapnap to be a Catalyst that just uses his bare hands like Tommy. Something like Shikanoin Heizou. While I think Tommy is Fisic attack mostly, Sapnap is full fire in your face.

Mmmmm wait George or Karl would be dendro? LIKE George being supportive by creating circles of healing mushrooms or poisonous mushrooms along with an attitude of Laila fuckinh sleepy in his E xd.

Karl only comes to mind because Dendro is based on wisdom and I imagine him in the library dying like Cheetara [From ThunderCats 2010 or so] in his backstory of childhood and patience. And BOOM vision idk healer? I don't know much about Karl Canon or Fanon but I've seen that we don't have many healers.

This made me think of Sam, who i dont know what to say about him. But im curious what do you think!

The fact that you're so invested in this absolutely warms my heart! I don't mind the "we" at all, I'm super glad when people add their own ideas to my aus (doesn't happen that often but oh well...)

I was considering Charlie but I wasn't entirely sure how to cross the hydro with slime, so I'm DEFINITELY using that. Most characters have some gimmick after all, so him having green as a main color (when blue is associated the most with hydro) and his gimmick being slime is very cool.

I haven't thought that much about interactions with other existing regions past Phil maybe being from Inazuma to explain his clothes and Puffy sailing to Liyue and Fontaine, which is how the Traveler would get to DSMP. Mainly because I want to have a concrete base for the DSMP region first before I start having the characters go elsewhere. But I will keep stuff like this in mind!

As for the vision reasons. See I haven't considered them that much because I want to have at least a somewhat balanced amount of each weapon and vision type and also I just don't know them that well. For some, like Ranboo, I did go off the freedom reason in Anemo, but for a lot I just went with what sorta felt right or fit the character's storyline or gimmick somewhat. So Puffy was hydro because she's a pirate and uses her vision to control the ship. Q was Electro because he uses his vision to power Las Nevadas.

I had 0 idea about the cryo-love connection and rest assured, the only reason I made Techno cryo is because Arctic empire. However, ehm, let's say it's because love, that sounds cooler <3

I've considered making Tommy Anemo. I made him Pyro because of the whole "passion" thing, but with how many other characters would fit Pyro (Jack, Sapnap, Wilbur, the character not the guy, don't come for me pls, I don't like mentioning him either) I don't want to have too much of them so maybe I'll change it. It would definitely make the matching clingyduo claymores even cuter because they don't match visions anymore so the reason Tommy does it is because he wants to match SOMETHING.

Continuing, yeah I just. Didn't consider the reasons for visions. However you did name a couple characters I haven't considered at all so I will be going off of these suggestions.

I cannot guarantee Ranboo's safety <3 but he is a playable characters and they don't die in genshin. Doesn't mean he'll be 100% ok tho <3

I didn't think of mobs as playable characters, mainly because I just thought of members, however Micheal being the first chibi male character in the entire game is just too good to pass up on. Prepare little pig boy, you're about to have some magic. What kind? No idea yet, lemme think.

I've briefly mentioned making Skeppy a geo bow (cuz crystals) but I haven't been able to think of any other geo characters. Making Purpled geo because contracts is a cool idea though, I like it.

Thing is, DSMP is a region on its own. Like I said, Phil might be from Inazuma and move prior to Traveler getting there and maybe some other characters are originally from other regions, but at the point where Traveler gets there, they're all in the DSMP. Maybe they could visit and like/buy some clothes tho! Like I said, haven't considered it much, will later on

Oh I have PLANS for Dream. I'll say more in the post about the DSMP's Archon, but in this region, he's the human form of XD, same style as Venti/Nahida/Zhongli and the only wielder of his power because of it. He doesn't wear a fake vision because he pretends he's visionless. As the Archon XD, he's notorious for not giving out visions because he's selfish and doesn't believe anyone else is worthy of it, so he's the only playable character with those powers. As for what powers I'm still working that out, but something along the lines of decay or rot and very few interactions with existing elements. As for making him Dendro. Damn, calm down, it'll be ok /j hajshshshs

Sapnap having the same style as Heizou but Pyro does fit him a lot, I do like that. And we have only one other catalyst so far so yeah. Welcome to the team. You're a DPS and a support. How? Idk I haven't thought of skills and bursts much yet.

I HAVE considered Dendro George for the mushrooms with both the healing spores and the poison spores. Not sure what weapon to give him yet, maybe he joins the catalysts, maybe a bow, not rlly keen on giving him a claymore, for the others it's meh, not sure not sure. We'll see.

I have NOT considered Dendro Karl, but you connecting it with the wisdom thing kinda has me convincedddddd. No idea what his powers would be though, but it is true we don't have a lot of healers. However my genshin lineup only has Barbara and Charlotte as healers and Charlotte is 20 levels under AND I DON'T BITCH ABOUT IT EITHER (I do bitch about it. It's awful. Hoyo pls just let me pull for a healer I need it desperately)

As for Sam I've considered either Electro because Redstone, or Dendro for a combination of creeper plus wisdom with how good he is at the mechanics stuff. He'd probably be similar to Navia where he attacks mostly with his weapon but the last attack he does with some sort of mechanical contraption like she does with her umbrella. Not a machine gun, tho that would be funny. Imagine you're like a hilichurl and you're fighting this guy with a sword and suddenly he goes "fuck it" And pulls out a machine gun.

Hey friend, I am absolutely rotating the HECK out of Hunger AU rn. I just binged all of the tagged posts and I'm going FERAL! Watchers being like parasitic wasps? Listeners being like fungi? Absolutely based takes.

I'm very much a fan of the emotional realism going on and I'm so terrified of Angry!Mumbo. Like. Bro doesn't get all that angry that often those folks are the scariest properly pissed.

And I relate far too much to the Search Party tbh. Something about the themes of mental and physical illness, wanting to help but not knowing how, the one you want to help not wanting help at this point, the resentment that causes on both sides of that stalemate... yeah I've been there.

Also, I am insanely curious about the ecological niche that Watchers and Listeners fulfill. Like. There has to be a reason they are the way they are. I'm insanely curious about what the environment they evolved in looked like, and even more curious as to what they provide back to the universe in return.

Like. Irl most wasps are predatory insects, controlling the population of pests and invasive species, but the tidbits you've given us about how they feed on emotions and the groups they feed on put me more in mind of, like, herding dogs. Yknow? Does that make sense? Gathering players together and moving them away from half abandoned worlds to let them dissolve back into the greater code. Maybe interviening in virus-infected worlds or virus-vulrable worlds, encouraging those players to move or perish.

And Listeners, well, fungi occupy so many diverse niches they could do just about anything, really. It's very fun to think about and I am rotating them vigorously, thank you for feeding us so well <3

This is such a sweet ask i am so 🥺🥺🥺🥺 abt it, im really pleased that you're enjoying the emotional realism ive committed to for this fic, because thats just such an important aspect for me-- my goal here is to depict a deeply emotional, moving, and messy situation about illness and recovery where no one's feelings are punished or demonized by the narrative. Its just so, so important to me that the Search Party (and later on, the other hermits) get their emotions properly respected and explored. Its not just about Grian, even if he is the ultimate focus-- everyone else deserves varied, emotional responses to an ugly and terrifying situation where theres hurt on all sides. This is the kind of realism i love putting in all of my writing, and the kind of justice i want to do for all characters in stories like these!!

Its a little funny how this au originally started with me brainrotting absently about Watcher biology because i wanted to explore the idea of Grian pretending to be an avian and finding certain aspects of it deeply uncomfortable. I absolutely love your herding dog analogy, and its giving me some great ideas because for the longest time i couldnt quite figure out what exactly a Watcher's ecological niche was beyond predator to Players and prey for something else that's extinct. But now im really looking at the connection between Watchers feeding habits and Players' biological need for play (or dreams, if you want to get into the minecraft end poem of it all), and theres something there that i really wanna take some time to tease out before i give a concrete answer.
