- Made Dexter steal Ravens place in the Storybook of Legends, essentially giving her his role and happy ending whilst he becomes the main villain thinking it’s all to help his loved ones

- Made Apple fall down the Well of Wonder instead of a water well as a kid (Beginning her first arc with Darling)

- Wrote their evil counterparts from Spring Unsrpung as their deepest fears and desires, making Apple want to destroy their world because she deeply hates and resents her fate

- Made Apple actually act like a bad bitch

- Daring the Beauty and Rosabella The Beast

- Wrote Appling friends to frenemies to lovers

- Wrote Dexven lovers to enemies to—

- Daring = Golden Child, Darling = Mothers Disgrace, Dexter = Fathers Failure

- Changed Hopper to not crush on Briar for only her beauty, but because he admires her effort and courage in making memories and forming connections with others even if she might lose them to fate

- Made Hollys fate be Rapunzel’s mother instead of being Rapunzel herself and have her question if signing her child’s life away and never see her grow up is actually for the greater good

- Aged the characters up to 19-22 because I can’t mentally deal with how young and traumatized they are in the show

- Fixed up their Magic touches to be a little more useful

- For the betterment of humanity fixed Hunters haircut

there are simply so many things about ""fandom"" that are profoundly baffling to me

Not to get into drama the first fucking moment I open my eyes after but calling the Phoneys slaves is such a bad take because the whole game is about that not being true. Like the whole fucking point is that by All Means they're not people. Not to the law, at least, and much less to Freddy's. This is the narrative you've been sold on since the very first game and that it's trying to disprove. Trying to show you thru their back stories and ending dialogue that, hey, these are actual people too!

Sure Jack can still be a turbo cunt to them but the Phoneys still do whatever the fuck they want if they so wish. Jake LITERALLY threatens with walking out on you like on the first month he's in. But this is also a major part of the plot like Where Else will they go if they're not here. Their choices are fucking dying or working at Freddy's Independent of Jack. AND THE POINT ALWAYS TENDS BEING FOR JACK TO BE BETTER BOSS THAN EVERY ONE THAT CAME BEFORE (unless he's evil but he rips Dave's head off he's just off the shits there he killed a baby dude c'mon he's no point of comparison for anything.)

Like to boil it down to "jack x phoneys bad because they're slaves" is literally Ignoring the whole game and all its trying to say. People starting these dramas are probably still in school you can't be so bad at reading baby it's concerning.

I NEED to know why the transformers fandom is relevant

okay so, assuming you don't know anything beyond like. 4 characters: Megatron is depicted as a revolutionary in several of the continuities which bleeds over to the fandom perception, and he of course falls into that "bad guy makes good points so we need to have him commit genocide so people don't agree with him" camp. The comics published by IDW up to a few years ago had Megatron be essentially at the very bottom of the working class, while Optimus Prime was a fucking cop. Megatron rightfully pointed out the injustices on their planet, but was Too Radial™ about it, so of course he became the evil warmonger and Optimus Prime (canon police brutality enjoyer) went about it the Right Way™.

The comics series has had a MASSIVE impact on both the fandom and franchise itself, with current cartoons continuing to pull from it. It wasn't all bad, there are some interesting characters and in-universe concepts that IDW introduced, but what I've described above has left a really bad taste in my mouth.

So, with the main Transformers fandom on tumblr being a bunch of white 30 year old ao3 addicts whose peak theory moment was reading a Twitter thread, these cunts LOVE to act like they have everything figured out by reading that fucking god awful comics series and having their main takeaway be "yeah Megatron was right to build literal extermination camps, also cops are cool". It's soooooo annoying

Logically it makes sense that for almost 10 years I have been a huge fan of The Shadowhunters Chronicles…

And that now that I’m older I’m becoming more and more of a huge fan of The Vampire Chronicles…

A love of TSC leading to an eventual love of the VC…

There is such a clear path from loving one of those series to the other that this was kind of inevitable…

y'know, if David existed in the main saw universe his existence would drive Amanda absolutely insane. realizing that the reverse bear trap wasn't something only for her. how could John care for her if he didn't even give her an original test? and then maybe thinking well, the only other recipient of the bear trap also survived, was she just given an easy test? thinking that shes not special, especially in john's eyes. he won't fix her, was he ever trying to fix her?

David existing is proof that john doesn't actually care about his victims, he cant even personalize his tests. how could Amanda possibly reconcile with that?

As satisfying as it would be to have Sonic movie 3 stay faithful to SA2 regarding the death of Maria, I genuinely don't see paramount having the guts to write her being killed by government agents. Even by agents from a fictional military like G.U.N.

If they do touch it on anything more solid than just vaguely implying it happened, you just know the SA2 comparisons will be hyped up as much as possible until the last second, then instead you get to watch a "new but still just as cool!" take on the event where actually, a token scapegoat villian was responsible for her death! All the G.U.N. agents will get to stay part of the goofy comedic relief cast to fullfill the studio's "misguided :( but still likable" military propaganda quota.

Or, have Maria survive and play it as an amazing new "fix" to a plot point that doesn't need fixed. (Recent news about the new ATLA series Sokka comes to mind, where an embarassing effort to play it safe causes them to miss the point of his arc. Entirely.) Maria surviving is a fun concept to play with, but also a nuance-deserving change I would absolutely NOT trust in the hands of paramount.

I'm staying excited, but trying to keep my expectations in check. I honestly hope to be proven wrong.
