Tired hands gripping the porcelain sink you were currently bent over with every ounce of strength you had. Feeling a drop of sweat roll down your cheek as you took a relentless beating from the back. Joel’s usually gentle hands now gripping roughly onto your hips. Soft whimpers escaping past your lips.
"You've got to be quieter for me sweetheart." His deep voice whispering in your ear with a soft pat to your thigh.
Right now there was a birthday party going on for his son, and his wife was also downstairs. As soon as Joel and his wife hired you as a babysitter he couldn't get you out of his mind. Always waiting for the right opportunity, but never seeming to find it. It was wrong you both knew that, but right now neither one of you cared.
"Oh my god." A hand covering your moans as he slowed his thrusts down slightly. Closing your eyes as you tried your best to control your noises. It was so much harder than you expected, and Joel was thicker than you expected.
"Such a good girl taking my cock so well in that tight little cunt." Praising you as he looked from your disheveled face in the mirror, and to where your bodies were connected licking his lips at how soaked you were.
"You're so big Mr. Miller." Mumbling loud enough just for him to hear.
"Call me Joel baby, and as much as I want to hear you scream my name you gotta be quiet." His lips warm and desperate as they peppered kisses along your upper back and shoulder blade.
“Joel.” Cooing with such innocence he had to restrain himself from smacking the shit out of your ass. He knew you were just playing with fire, and it was a matter of time before you got burnt.
His hands kept a firm grip on your ass to help him leverage his thrusts. Growling into your ear with such animosity it had a shiver running down your spine. Joel was usually gentle and kind, and right before your eyes he was turning into a wild man.
"Let me see those pretty eyes." His deep voice persuading you as you finally opened your eyes to see his dark and mischievous ones looking at you.
Joel shamelessly bucking his hips into your backside as you watched each other in the mirror. Forcing you to watch his and your facial expressions like watching a movie. It was the hottest thing you had ever seen, and you could feel the heat rising to your cheeks. Joel was biting his lips together when he could feel himself getting closer.
"Wanna have this cunt achin from me for days." It sounded like a promise more than a threat. Both hands spreading your cheeks apart as he angled himself deeper inside of you.
"Oh shit right there." Feeling him hit your sweet spot over and over again, your toes curling against the bathroom tile. Knowing your orgasm was swiftly approaching biting down on your arm wanting it so bad you could taste it.
"Maybe should have ya scream so my wife can hear." He taunted you with empty threats, but still the thought of his wife walking in here and catching you two would be too much. "Don't worry I won't this time."
Reaching a hand to grip your neck and pull it up to look into his eyes directly. Grinding deep as he rotated his hips in a rhythmic motion. Parting your lips open as you cried out only to be stopped by his lips covering yours swallowing every whimper and moan.
"I'm so close Joel." Hearing you call his name out in pleasure was like music to his ears. Your body started to become stiff, as a fire ignited in your lower stomach. Both of you chasing that sweet release.
Joel could sense that you were struggling to release almost like you were fighting it. Reaching his other hand around to your front finding your sensitive clit rubbing fast circles coaxing the orgasm from you. Keeping your feet planted firmly on the ground as he rocked his hot body into yours. Your neck was starting to really ache, but you were so close you were powering through.
"Let go baby I'm right here." Cooing into your ear like he was telling you a secret. His deep and seductive tone sent you over the edge.
Body falling completely limp against the sink hand falling from your neck as your body fell completely numb to your euphoric state. Cunt clenching his cock like a vine as you trembled and shook around him. Both hands held onto your hips as he continued to pump himself slowly and deep.
"Fucked that pretty cunt so well didn't I?" Joel already knew the answer to that question, but he had a look of undeniable pride written across his face.
Your ribcage rising and falling with each quick breath. Hands falling down to your side feeling loose and numb. Stomach trembling from the resounding orgasm you just experienced. Your battered cunt was so sore from being stretched and abused. Feeling his hands gently caressing your trembling thighs as he stayed still inside of you.
"Too bad my wife didn't walk in and catch us." He joked and you couldn't help but slap his thigh at the comment, even though the thought kind of turned you on. His lips finding yours in a tender and intimate moment, only to be interrupted by soft knocks coming from the door.
"Dad it's time for dessert."

Felix | Hyunjin | Lee Know | Changbin | Jisung | Chan | Seungmin | Jeongin
“You're not still seeing Felix are you?” Your best friend, Yujin asks, switching her load of laundry from the washer and putting it into the dryer.
You turn your head to look at her and laugh. “Yeah.” You smile. “We've been seeing each other for a few months. Why?” You ask, also switching your load. She was only at the laundromat with you because the machines in your building broke and your landlord is too much of a cheap ass to get them fixed. Though Yunjin has her own home, the both of you prefer the bulky washer and dryer at the shop, so you can do a bigger load.
She bites her lip, glancing down at her phone, typing things in, holding it to her chest as she speaks. “Listen… I'm not saying it's him for sure. But you remember that coworker you were having issues with? June?” She mumbles.
**
“Oh my god! June!” You exclaim. “Look at this.” You say, waving her over. June rolls her eyes as she gets up from her desk, shuffling over to you.
“What?” She snaps.
“We overpaid to the LCC. Look. Like, 8 thousand dollars too much.” You say, pointing to the payment total. “I'll go tell Soobin.” You say, pushing away from your desk.
“No!” She yells. “I'm already up, I'll go tell him.” She finishes, walking away from your desk. You watch her walk over there, faintly hearing every few words she tells him.
“Overpaid…8 thousand… Y/N.” Oh good. She mentioned it was you who found it. You were worried for a second that she would try to take the credit. She had been absolutely fucking awful to you as a mentor the last few months. Nothing you did was ever good enough in her eyes, even the teeniest, tiniest mistake, she pointed out, rather loudly, calling you an idiot. This happened on multiple occasions.
“Y/N.” Soobin calls out. “My office, please.” He says, gesturing June into his office, just as you see your department head walking straight towards Soobin's office. This made your stomach turn. What was going on?
You got up from your chair, making your way down the little corridor hallway down to his office, behind the head of the department. You step inside, closing the door, taking the last seat available as everyone stares at you.
“What happened with the LCC?” Mr. Jung, the head of the department, asks you.
“I was just relooking at the invoice today and noticed that it was overpaid.”
“By 8 thousand dollars?” He asks. “Who paid them?”
“June did.” You say, gesturing to her. She scoffs at you.
“I'm not an idiot like you, Y/N. I would never overpay like that.” She says. “Y/N paid the invoice.” She says, smirking at you.
“W-what?” You gasp. “No I didn't. It has June's name on it.”
“Do you even know how to read?” June laughs. “Who hired this one?” She chuckles, looking between Soobin and Mr. Jung.
“You liar!” You snap. You can feel the tears brimming in your eyes.
“Y/N, enough.” Mr. Jung says. “We will conduct our own investigation. You both enjoy the rest of your day. It's 5 pm, so go home.” He finishes. You stand up first, walking out of the office, while June calls your name, but you ignore her. You didn't want to deal with her, only thinking about the fact that your new boyfriend was down on the sidewalk waiting for you.
As fast as you can, you gather your belongings, unfortunately still meeting June at the elevator. The ride down to the ground floor is quiet. You can feel your ears turning red as you fume. The bell dings, opening the door, and you walk out quickly, not bothering to hold the door for June. The second you see Felix, it's like a sense of relief washed over you. You walk straight to him, his arms wrapping around you, holding you closely.
“June's a bitch.” You mumble into him, just as the door opens, out walking the bitch herself.
“Can you take your PDA elsewhere?” She scoffs. “No one wants to see that.”
“I'm going to guess you're June.” Felix says, pulling away from you.
“I-I am.” She says.
“Nice to meet you. I'm Y/N’s boyfriend, Felix.” He says, extending his hand. She shakes it, but winces. You not noticing how hard Felix was squeezing it. “I hope you're treating my girl well.” He finishes, releasing her hand. She nods her head, wiggling her fingers as she walks away.
“I don't like her.” Felix laughs, opening the car door for you.
“Mhm, me either.” You mumble, getting into the passenger seat. Not noticing the smile that spread across Felix’s lips as he made his way to the driver's seat.
**
“Yeah? What about her?” You ask, feeling nervous. You glance around the laundry shop, it's quiet for a Saturday night.
Yujin turns her phone screen to face you, showing you the latest news article.
“Woman - 57, Found Dead In The Park.” You mutter, scrolling down slightly. “June Erikson, 57 who was an employee at JPH accounting, Found dead this morning from multiple stab wounds…” You trail off.
Yujin looks at you with wide eyes, placing her phone back in her lap. “That's so sad. Oh my god. I feel awful for her family.” You sigh.
“That's it?” Yujin exclaims. “That's how you react to that news?” She asks.
“I'm sorry?” You say. “How am I supposed to react?”
“You're supposed to be scared!” Yujin yells. “Felix did this!”
“What? Why?” You laugh. “Do you know something I don't?”
“I'm telling you, Y/N. It was Felix. You complained about her a lot. Think about it.”
**
“Oh my god. I can't deal with her anymore!” You exclaim to Felix. “Everyday it's something.”
“Baby, it's only Monday.” Felix laughs. “What happened?”
“She told everyone that I fucked up an account, and it wasnt me! I don't even have access to that account!” You whine.
“Just breathe, baby. Tomorrow will be better.” He says, placing a kiss on your lips.
~
“So how was it today?” Felix asks, as you slide into the car.
You sit there with your arms crossed, sniffling. You're trying not to cry but June was horrendous to you and you hated her so much.
“Maybe tomorrow.” Felix sighs, resting his hand on your thigh as he drives away from your work.
The next three days were all the same. June was relentless to you, she never let up, she was never nice and you so desperately wanted to quit even though you absolutely loved your job. She was just the worst part of it the entire thing.
“Oh babe.” He sighs, wrapping you in a hug. “You won't have to worry about her for much longer.” He smiles.
**
“Okay?” You laugh, rolling your eyes. “I complained about her to you as well. Are you sure you didn't kill her?” You ask.
“You know I'd never do that!” She scoffs.
“Just like I know he wouldn't do that either.” You sigh. “You really gotta stop this.”
“I'm sorry, I don't believe it wasn't him. Remember the night you met?” She asks.
It never fails, Anything Felix does or says has her bringing up that night.
*
“Fuck men!” You scream, your friends dragging you down the street, as you all drunkenly laugh, enjoying your night out. You had just broken up with your last boyfriend, a real piece of shit, and you were so happy to be free, and able to have fun and do what you want.
“Fuck you, bitch!” Some man yells, glaring towards you and your friends.
“Aww, did that upset you? Someone's got small dick syndrome.” You laugh, yelling back as they try to drag you away.
“The fuck did you say to me?” He screams, rushing towards you. He stomps towards you, screaming, spit flying from his mouth as he approaches you, waving his finger. You close your eyes, tensing up as you wait for some sort of impact, but it doesn't come. You open one eye, peaking out, seeing a man standing in front of you, the man who was previously screaming at you, stopped in his tracks.
“You better watch what the fuck is gonna come out of your mouth next.” he snaps, no hint of humor in his very deep voice.
“This doesn't involve you.” The man scoffs, trying to move past the man who was helping you. He doesn't get very far, the man helping you, grabs the other by the collar, pulling him in close.
“You take one more fucking step, and I'll kill you and your whole fucking family. Understood?” He asks.
The man looks at you, muttering something about you not being worth it, before pushing the man off of him, turning around to go back to his friends.
The man who helped you turned around, and you felt like you had died and gone to heaven. He was the most attractive man you had ever seen. Blonde hair slicked back, dark eyes and a sinister smile.
Just your type.
“Thank you…” You trail off, unable to take your eyes off him.
“Felix.” He laughs.
“Thank you, Felix.” You smile, slowly shaking his hand. You were so mesmerized by him, you couldn't look away.
“Y/N…” Your friend, Jennie, urges, grabbing your shoulders.
“Come on. Let's go.” Jisoo whispers, pulling on your other hand.
You smile at Felix, walking backwards with your friends, still staring at him as he smiles, watching you walk away. From that moment on, you knew he'd be yours.
“That was fucking weird.” Yujin says, laughing. You can tell it's her uncomfortable laugh, she didn't like him right off the bat.
“It was hot.” You say.
“You're a psychopath.” Yujin shivers.
*
“He was just trying to protect me. And you, Jennie and Jisoo. He's not a bad man. I don't know why you can't just look past that.” You huff, grabbing your clothes from the dryer. “Look, I gotta go. Felix is waiting for me. Just please try to give him a chance?” You half smile, leaning in for a quick side hug, hoping things between her and Felix would get better.
A few weeks later, Jennie, Yujin and Jisoo had finally agreed to go out with you and Felix. You were so excited that all your favorite people were going to be in the same room, getting to know each other and hopefully finally getting along.
“I don't know why she doesn't like me.” Felix sighs, the two of you sit in a quiet pub where the music isn't as loud, people are calmer and the atmosphere is a little more relaxed.
“She will babe, I promise.” You smile at him, grabbing his hand. “Tonight she'll see how great you are.” You finish, leaning in for a quick kiss.you hear the bells on the door ringing, along with loud chatter. You can already tell it was your friends coming in. You turn around smiling and waving them over to the table, you and Felix already were sat at.
“Hi guys.” You smile as they all sit across the table from you two. “What's going on?” You ask.
“Jennie was just telling us about Hyunjin, she thinks he's going to propose.” Jisoo giggles. Your mouth drips as you grab her hands.
“Oh my god! That's so exciting!” You shriek. “Aw, you'd make the most beautiful bride.” You gush. You glance over at Felix, who's smiling, watching you with your friends.
“Sorry babe.” You laugh. “I’d officially like you guys to meet Felix.” You say, pointing to him. “Felix, this is Yujin who you sort of know, Jisoo and Jennie.” You say, pointing out each one. Felix stands up, shaking each one of the other hands, Jennie and Jisoo giggling as they look at him, but Yujin is straight faced, giving him a little smile.
She was going to be tougher than you thought.
“What do you guys want to drink?” You ask. They all give you their drink orders, Felix slides you his card with a wink, as he begins to talk to your friends, Jennie and Jisoo already immersed in the conversation as Yujin sits back with her arms crossed, observing the interactions.
“Hi.” You smile at the bartender. “Can I get 3 vodka crans, one vodka and sprite, a rum and coke and then 5 shots of tequila please?” You ask, setting down Felix’s card.
“Need some help, darling?” You hear a deep voice from behind you. You smile, turning around, expecting to see Felix but instead you're met with the face of a man you don't know.
“No thank you.” You say politely, grabbing a few drinks, taking them to your table and heading back to the bar for the rest.
“You sure? A pretty girl like you can't do everything yourself.” He winks.
“I'm good. Thanks.” You say, grabbing the rest of the drinks. The man grabs your wrist, holding you in your spot. By the time you look up at him, Felix has already gotten up and made it to you, grabbing the man's arm and pulling it off of you.
“She said she was good, man. Take the hint.” Felix says, taking a few drinks from your hand, and moving out of the way for you to go first. You blush as you make your way back to your seat, Jisoo and Jennie giggling at the interaction that just happened.
You didn't notice Felix turning his head to glare at the man, but Yujin sure did. A few hours later, Felix gives you a long kiss, heading to the bathroom, while you girls drunkenly gush about anything and everything.
“Thoughts, feelings, concerns?” You ask, as soon as Felix is out of ear shot.
“I like him!” Jennie exclaims.
“Me too!” Jisoo smiles.
“I don't like him.” Yujin yawns. “He's fake. He's acting and I don't fucking like it.” She snaps.
“You're never going to be happy for me, are you?” you sigh, feeling slightly defeated.
A few minutes of silence later, Felix wanders back from the bathroom, rubbing his hand along your back. “You ready, baby?” He asks, letting out a yawn.
“Absolutely.” You smile. “Thank you girls for coming out tonight. Let's do it again soon!” You smile, but give Yujin a little glare before you slide your fingers in between Felix’s.
“It was really nice to meet you guys. Thanks for a great night.” Felix smiles towards all three of the women. Jisoo and Jennie wave to you both, while Yujin keeps her arms crossed, avoiding eye contact.
“I'd say that went well.” Felix smiles at you, as you both pass the alley on your way home. You don't have the heart to tell him what Yujin said.
“I think so too.”
**
The next morning you woke up to a few missed calls and texts from Yujin. You open one eye trying to focus without closing your eye, until the headline she texted you catches your eye.
“Man Found Dead Outside Local Pub.” You read.
You dial Yujin's number, rubbing the bridge of your nose as you wait for her to answer.
“Did you read the article?” She asks, answering the phone.
“Yeah?” You say. “Who is that?”
“The guy from the bar!” She yells. You crawl out of bed, careful not to wake Felix as you shuffle to the bathroom.
“What guy?” You ask, quietly closing the bathroom door.
“The one that came up to you when you were getting drinks.” She harshly whispers. “He was murdered. Just like June!”
“Okay? So there's a killer out there. Honestly Yujin. I appreciate you looking out for me, but this really is getting tiring. You don't spend time with him like I do. You don't know him.” You sigh.
This shit was giving you a headache.
“I'm just trying to protect you!” She yells.
“Seems like the only person I need protecting from is you. You're trying to ruin what is probably the best relationship that I've ever had. Enough.” You snap, ending the call.
After that day, Yujin had gotten to Jennie and Jisoo, and their once fondness for Felix, turned into hate awfully quickly, and you hated it. You truly did not understand where they were coming from. He didn't hit you, he didn't yell at you and call you names. He treated you like a princess, listened to you, cheered you up, he baked for you. He was everything you ever wanted and more, and there was absolutely no way you were going to let your friends ruin this relationship for you. So you stopped going out with them, you responded to calls and texts but not in the same way you did before. Your responses were dry, responding with the bare minimum answers and you knew they knew that you were disappointed but they were still your friends and you were still going to try to get them to see Felix the way you did.
“I just don't get it.” You whine to Jennie and Jisoo. “You guys loved him when you met him.”
“He was great…he might still be but like… Yujin had some really good points too. It's only been like, what, 5 months of the two of you dating and two people that have come into contact with you have died?” Jennie says.
“It's kinda crazy.” Jisoo adds.
“So is thinking that Felix is the kind of man who goes around murdering people.” You scoff. “That's kind of a stretch, don't you think?”
“Is it?” Jisoo asks.
You let out a long sigh. You were so frustrated with how they were acting but unfortunately you weren't able to control the way other people react.
“Come on.” Jennie smiles. “Yujin is waiting at the bar.” She finishes, pulling your hand. Felix had gone out with some of his friends, which had led you to deciding to go out with yours, but you had a feeling you were going to regret it.
And you did.
“Y/N!” Yujin smiles, standing up to hug you. She was surrounded by four men when the three of you walked into the bar. “I'm so glad you came. I've missed you.”
You smile back at her.
“I missed you too.” You say, wrapping your arms around her, hugging her back.
“Come, sit, meet some people.” She murmurs, pulling you down beside her.
“This is Yunho, San, Hongjoong, and Mingi.” She says, pointing to each handsome man sitting around the table. You give them each a small smile and a wave, feeling uncomfortable, almost like this was set up, for you specifically.
“So, Y/N.” Mingi smiles. “What do you do for work?” He asks.
“I uh, working at an accounting firm.” You respond, taking a sip of your drink. “What about you?”
“How's that? Fun? Boring?” He laughs. “The four of us are in a band.” He smiles, motioning between himself and the other three.
“That's cool.” You respond, trying to catch the attention of Yujin.
“Would you… Maybe wanna get out of here? Go somewhere more private to get to know each other?” Mingi asks. You raise your eyebrow as you stare at him.
“What did Yujin tell you this was?” You ask.
Mingi laughs. “To be honest, she thought we would mesh well. This is like a blind date… Isn't it?”
“I have a boyfriend.” You say, sliding your chair back, standing up and walking towards Yujin who had moved down towards Hongjoong. “Seriously?” You snap, grabbing her arm.
“What?” She asks, trying to play innocent.
“Don't. Don't do that innocent act shit. A blind date, Yujin? Really?” You respond.
She throws her hands up in frustration. “Would you have come if I told you?” She asks.
“Obviously not.” You spit.
“Exactly! There's better out there for you! You just needed to be shown.” She smiles.
“I'm not leaving Felix for Mingi.” You say. “He seems lovely, but I'm happy. Why can't you get that through your head?”
“Because!” She yells. “How can you be in love with a murderer!?”
“I can't. I can't do this with you anymore.” You scoff. “I'm just done.” You finish, walking back to your chair to grab your bag. “I'm sorry Mingi, it was nice to meet you but I have to go.” You smile, grabbing your bag and walking out the door.
Yujin called and texted apologies everyday. For months. And you didn't respond to any of them, you were too mad and frustrated at her to respond calmly.
**
“Another text.” You sigh, looking down at your phone.
“Babe.” Felix pipes up. It had now been 3 months since you had spoken to Yujin. “I think you need to forgive her.” He says.
You look up at him, shocked. “What?”
“It's been months. How many times does she need to apologize for what she's done? She's your best friend.” He says.
“Yeah… but she set me up on a blind date, Felix. How could she think that's okay?” You ask.
“Because she's being protective of you. Like I am. Was I happy about it? Absolutely not. Do I understand where she was coming from? You bet.” He says. “She'll come around.” He smiles.
“What if she doesn't?” You ask.
“Then we'll make her.” He winks.
**
A few days later, you're sitting in Yujins house with her. All the crying, hugging was finally finished.
“Okay.” Yujin, sighs. “I know what your answer is probably going to be. But I'm going to invite you anyway because I love you and I hope you'll come.”
“Okay?” You laugh, raising your eyebrow, curious about what's going to come out of her mouth next.
“I'm having a Halloween party next weekend. Costumes, drinks, games, the works. I really hope you'll think about coming.” She smiles.
“Oh!” You exclaim, laughing. “That sounds fun! Felix loves Halloween and dressing up.” You laugh, pulling out your phone to text him.
Yunjin sits there silently for a second, you can see her face sort of contorting as she thinks about how to put her next sentence as delicately as she can. You already knew what she was going to say. It had been 9 months now, and she still didn't like him or trust him.
“Actually, I just meant I'd like you to come. I'm sorry, but he's not invited.” Yujin whispers, twiddling her thumbs together.
“Yujin. Did we not just have a whole episode of working things out?” You snap.
“Yeah we did and I'm grateful for that because I've missed you. But he's still as fucking weird, intense and controlling as he was that day!” She snaps. “You deserve better! But you keep getting with these fucking losers.”
“Controlling? You've met him like twice, and put in no effort, except to judge him. He's not controlling.” You sigh.
“Then why don't you ever come out anymore? We used to do fun things all the time.” She pouts.
“Because of you! And your lack of consideration for my relationship.” You snap. “If you had a little more respect for me and Felix, then maybe I would.”
“Yeah, sure. It's not him at all.” She scoffs.
“Okay, I'm gonna go. Text me the details for the party. I'll think about it.” You sigh, getting up off the couch and heading for the front door.
You already knew you'd be going to the party. You knew Felix would be joining you, and you were all going to have a great fucking time.
**
The next weekend, you showed up to the Halloween party in a full Harley Quinn costume. You thought you did an amazing job on the costume, and by your friends' reactions, they thought so too.
“I'm so happy you decided to come.” Yujin smiles, pulling you in for a hug.
“Yeah.” You laugh. “Me too.”
“So what's the plan?” You ask, grabbing a drink from the fridge.
“It's just gonna be us four for a few hours. We're gonna pregame until the party starts around nine!” She grins.
“That sounds perfect.” You smile, taking a sip of your drink.
“Jisoo!” Yujin calls out, you, Jennie and her gathered around the island in the kitchen, waiting for Jisoo to come downstairs.
“Should I go look for her?” Jennie asks.
Yujin sighs. “Yeah, I guess. She was done like 30 minutes ago, I don't know why she isn't down here already.”
Jennie leaves the kitchen, heading towards the stairs. You and Yujin are chatting about nothing, when you hear the start of a scream before it's cut off. You both look at eachother, walking forward, very slowly, your arms linked together.
“Jennie?” You call out, in a semi whisper. “Are you okay?”
You hear footsteps making their way down the stairs. Jennie rounds the corner, but she's not alone. Someone in a mask stands behind her, a knife placed to her throat.
“Jisoo? Did you completely change your costume?” Yujin laughs. “Scared the shit out of her, I didn't you?” She says to Jennie, who has tears rolling down her cheeks. She's trying to hold in her sobs as the person behind her cocks their head to the side.
Yujin realizes quickly that it's not Jisoo under the mask. “Who are you?” Yujin asks. “What do you want?”
No answer.
You and Yujin stand there, breathing heavily as Jennie mouths pleas to the two of you, begging you to help her.
“Just step away from h…” You begin, stepping forward. The knife is pulled away from her throat, she breathes a sigh of relief, hunching over as she tries to catch her breath. The person grabs onto her hair, yanking her back up before plunging the knife through her back, the tip poking out of her stomach.
“No!” You and Yujin scream in unison, watching your friend have the life taken from her.
She gasps and gargles as the knife is ripped out of her body and shoved in again, and again, and again, until she can no longer stand. The masked person shoves her lifeless body to the floor, blood pouring from her mouth and each wound, the blood pooling around her body on the floor.
Screams erupt from you and Yujin, tears spilling from your eyes. The two of you go through the double doors to the living room, both of you frantically trying to find your cell phones. Jennie's body is dragged into the living room, streaks of blood left on the floor as she's dropped near the two of you.
“Why are you doing this!?” Yujin screams. “Where's Jisoo!?”
The masked person walks towards you two, turning towards the closet in the hall, pointing there.
“No, No…She's dead.” You gasp, crying a little harder.
“What the fuck did we ever do to you!?” Yujin screams. You let go of her hand, walking towards the faceless person. “Y/N!” Yujin screams. “What are you doing!?” She panics.
As you get closer, the person begins to lift the mask, and you're met with the handsome face of your boyfriend.
“Felix?” She gasps. You turn around, looking horrified that it's your boyfriend. She was right.
Of course she was. He walks up behind you, placing the knife against your neck as he places a small kiss on the side of your neck.
“Please don't kill her.” Yujin cries.
“Oh.” You laugh, wiping away your tears. “He's not going to kill me.” You giggle, taking the drenched knife from his hands.
“Hi baby.” Felix whispers in your ear.
“W-what is happening?” Yujin gasps.
“You know, Yujin. I got really tired of you accusing Felix of being a murderer.” You laugh. “Even though you were spot on.”
“She was.” Felix laughs. “You should have been an investigative journalist or a police officer.”
“So he did kill those people! And you knew?” She asks, her face contorted into a disgusted look.
“Yes, and yes.” You laugh. “Your constant nagging was getting really annoying. So when I approached Felix about an idea I had, I knew he would be totally in.”
“You planned this?” She asks. “We're supposed to be best friends!”
“Yeah, supposed to be. But you just couldn't let me be happy! You really have no one else to blame but yourself.” You sigh. “But I also had a condition. Felix had to leave you…” You pause.
“Thank you… thank you… I'm not ready to die.” She sobs.
“Oh, honey, no.” You laugh. “He had to leave you for me.”
“What?” She whispers. You grip the knife in your hand, walking towards hers.
“If you had just left me alone this whole thing could have been avoided.” You sigh, grabbing her shoulder with one hand, forcing the knife into her stomach. She stares at you with wide eyes as you push the knife in a little harder.
“Oh baby.” You laugh. “You were right, this is fucking exhilarating.” You groan. You pull the knife from her stomach, ramming it in again in a new spot as her body begins to collapse.
You pull the knife out, your hand covered in blood as you drop the knife, watching Yujin slowly dying on the floor. She tries to speak but blood pours from her mouth.
“That was so fucking hot.” Felix groans, pulling you towards him. He plants his lips onto yours, thrusting his tongue into your mouth. Your bloody hand moves down to his crotch, feeling his already hard cock, growing even more.
“Fuck me.” You murmur.
Felix guides you to the couch, pushing you down onto the floor, your stomach laying on the couch. He flips up your skirt before quickly unbuttoning his pants, pulling out his cock. Felix rips your tights open in the back, kicking your knees apart to spread yourself more. He spits into his hand, gliding it up your cunt, shoving two fingers inside of you, making you cry out. Felix pumps his fingers a few times before he pulls them out, lubing up his cock with your juices. He quickly and harshly thrusts himself inside of you, grabbing your neck and squeezing. He pulls you up against him, his hot breath hitting your ear as he rams his cock inside of you.
“Did it feel good?” He groans. “Shoving that knife into her?” He gasps as you clench your cunt around him.
“So fucking good.” You cry out, reaching down between your lips to rub your clit.
“You looked so fucking sexy doing it.” Felix grunts, ramming his cock into you.
His hand tightens around your neck, squeezing harder, making you gasp for breath.
“I fucking love you so much.” He groans, fucking you harder. “Cum, baby. Cum.” He grunts. You move your fingers faster on your clit, your orgasm coming quickly.
He releases your throat, making you cough. “Fuck. I… love… you.” You scream, cumming hard onto his cock.
Felix grips your hips, thrusting into you harder and faster, cumming right after you, filling you all the way up.
He pulls out of you, tucking himself away before he helps you up, grabbing the knife from on the floor and bringing it to the kitchen. He slips it inside the backpack he stored in the closet, setting it by the door.
“Get ready to cry, baby.” Felix grins, grabbing his phone. You make your way to Yujin's body, sprawled out on the floor, forcing your tears to come.
“Help! Please help! Our friends were murdered!” Felix cries into the phone. “We're at 44776 Roadway Lane. Hurry!” He cries, hanging up the phone.
“Ready to put on the performance of a lifetime, baby?” He grins.
“With you, I'm ready for anything.” You smile, leaning over Yujin's body, forcing the tears from your eyes to fall as the sirens get louder and closer.
“Police!” They yell from outside the door.
“In here! Please.” You scream. The police rush in, seeing your distraught face hovering over your friend as Felix cries in the corner of the room.
“What happened?” One of the officers asks, pulling you away from the body.
“W-we… were having a Halloween party.” You sob. “The five of us… we were going to drink a little before it started later. Someone broke in… started stabbing them… we hid in the closet until we heard the person leave.” You cry.
“Do you have a description of the person?” The officer asks.
“No. We didn't see the person. The person was wearing a mask. And then we hid.” Felix cries.
“I'm so sorry.” The officer sighs. “Let's get you two checked out.”
Felix stands up, holding his hand out for you. You grab his hand, whimpering into his arm as the officer guides you out of the house. Felix grabs his backpack, and you both walk down the walk away, hand in hand, leaving the crime you committed behind you.

I loved Ambre and Sam too! Noticed the LaLa resemblance as well, they even seem to have kind of the same off ice dynamic where she’s very excitable and bubbly and he’s more reserved lol. Interesting that they train with Zazoui, I think Marien de la Asunción has taken on the role that Romain Haguenauer had when he was in Lyon.
Julien Lalonde was LaLa’s first coach, who also paired them up. He also brought up Laurence Fournier Beaudry. I know he used to coach with Mylene Girard, so interesting to see how he’s been brought into the IAM fold but she’s formed her own camp.
oh yeah, it never clicked that that’s where P/C first worked with Romain. they went to train with Zazoui, Olivier Schoenfelder and Romain in 2012 for their last junior season before leaving for Montreal with him in 2014. i wonder how P/C were closest to Romain, who was the least known of those coaches at the time. guess nobody was expecting P/C to meteorically rise until they did
IAM brought on those two new coaches to their junior division, but i wonder if or when they'll officially make one of the retired skaters like Guillaume, Jean-Luc or Kaitlin a staff coach who travels with senior teams. Kaitlin already did that once for a small competition. or if IAM will hire from outside eventually if their roster stays this size or grows

I'm surprised to realize that I have not mentioned this here.
I left my job at the casino. I was under a microscope from somebody above my boss. I don't know who, but that doesn't really matter.
I have health issues. I was in the emergency room twice in a week. Then I went home early a few times after throwing up into trash cans at work because it would come on too suddenly for me to make it to the restroom. As a result, I was put on probation.
The writing was on the wall, so instead of getting fired I terminated my own employment. Everybody has been nice about it (at least those I have spoken with). And I hold no anger towards the casino or anyone there. Not even whoever it was who decided that I was on very thin ice, and tap dancing. Depending on what comes next, they may have done me a favor.
For now I am resting after over seven years of working on my feet, and adjusting back to a more "normal" sleep schedule. I used to wake up at 9pm for my graveyard shift. Today I got up at 6pm. It's a process.
I still wake up for moments to roll over and think "Who am I wrking with tonight? What specific things do I need to get done tonight?" And then I realize that neither question applies anymore.
I know I burned the bridge with the company. I only gave 18 hours notice. But I am honestly thanking everyone I speak to with whom I worked. Until receently, it was overall a wonderful experience. I even enjoyed it recently, but had added stress because of the situation. But I generally like (almost) everyone I worked with (and those I wasn't a fan of are gone -- I even get along with employees who almost everyone else does not like; it's all about how you approach them). I had over seven good years there. But it was time to move on.
There are a LOT of times throughout my career, and different jobs, where I ask an employee to do something they would rather no do and they respond "If any other manager had asked me to do that, I would refuse. But since it is you, I'll do it." When I was new at the casino, I told a porter (read: custodian) that my first rule of being a manager is to never ask someone to do something that I would not do. One night, someone vomited on the restroom floor. I couldn't just walk away from it, so I grabbed a handful of towels and started cleaning it up. My porter just happened to walk in as I was doing it. I did not advertise that I would be doing it. He walked in, saw me on my hands and knees (back when my hands and knees worked right) and said "Wow, you really did mean it when you said you wouldn't ask us to do anything you would not do!" From that point on, he never complained when I asked him to do something.
Iam really going to miss both my coworkers and my guests. I went in last night just to collect a few personal things. I forgot about my umbrella, but it felt awkward being there so soon after resigning. I refused to go into the office. That wouldn't feel right. The office is employees only. So the other manager grabbed a few things, then we spoke for a bit and shook hands. This is the manager with whom I did not get along for months. They we had it out and understood each other better and then we got along. We shook hands. I got to wish my security guard the best and shake his hand. I got to say goodbye to a bartender with whom I generally only worked with once per week, but we had good conversations on that one night per week. I got emotional enough that I had to let it pass before I drove home. Driving home with blurred vision from crying would probably be about as dangerous as drunk driving.
I still get emotional over it. I had been there since mid-July 2016. This is the end of a long chapter in my life. I am still a little surprised I went through with it. But I was going to be pushed out if I didn't walk out on my own. And I know this was not what my boss wanted. He did not want to suspend me Friday morning. It was onlytwo days, but it also came with 90 days probation, like when I first hired in, but more strict suspension. If I even left work early, I was likely going to be fired from the sounds of it, even if I am sick.
I woke up to a message from the assistant property manager (he was part of the disciplinary meeting when I was suspended) telling me he thinks I did the best thing for my physical and mental health.
There is only one sour taste that I have in my mouth.
We were robbed at gunpoint in July of this year. Our county has an app where I can make sure they are still in jail. But one of our employees has severe PTSD after having a gun aimed at them. I was in a break area when the robbery happened and didn't know it had happened until the robbers had left. I called 911, not knowing that another employee was already on the phone with them. AFTER I called 911, the employees said that the gunmen had said they would come back to shoot and kill us all if we called law enforcement. I may not have been out there, but I have been robbed at gunpoint. This was mid-2000s. I still have flashbacks.
So if they said they didn't feel safe and wanted to go home, I would let them. I have a heart. Sure, it left us short staffed, but my most recent boss would agree that part of being a manger is running the business, but we also have to care for our staff.
Then it came down from HR that if this person called off or went home early, we had to give very specific reasons.
First, they already know the specific reasons. They are just being picky. They have a note from this person's psychiatrist detailing how deeply her PTSD goes. One other time she had fallenwhile getting out of bed and felt like she may fall again during her shift, and I put that down as the reason. But I was being askedd to go deeper into asking about and announcing her private medical information. That rubbed me very much the wrong way.
This is not the bartender I saw last night, but they are one of the first people I told after I made it official and we spoke on the phone and wished each other well. We do have each other's phone numbers so it was not necessarily goodbye. But she is this sweet ld lady who can party. Emloyees are entitled to one free "after shift" drink whether they are gambling or not (if not gambling they have to pay for any further drinks but the casino's drinks cost less than any other bar nearby). She ordered a shot of Fireball and a manager who is thinking of leaving early next year (one of two planning to leave -- I don't know that they will be able to maintain a 24-hours-a-day operation with as many of us as they are losing) decided, as a joke, to fulll a "bucket glass" with Fireball (if you aren't familiar with "bucket glass," think rum & Coke sized, but not the tall 12 or 16 oz glass). He figured he was just wasting booze but that it would be funny.
Then this sweet old black lady, always demure and quiet, picked up the glass and slowly downed the entire thing in one go. The rest of the graveyard crew and the manager just stared and dropped our jaws. It really was impressive. The manager asked if she wanted another one and she wisely said no.
This same guy once made me a Jack and Coke in a tall glass and filled it up about 7/8 of the way (after icing the glass) with Jack Danieals, then just added a splash of Pepsi (they are a Pepsi company). I nursed that thing for about an hour and a half. I wasn't going to down it like a bucket glass of Fireball and then drive home. The other crew member who had a drink with us had a wine glass ful of tequila. And the company wonders why the cost of goods for the bar is so high. That bar will never in the history of the casino make a profit. It's their loss leader. Most drinks are complimentary. But it keeps people at the slot machines, which is where the profit comes from. Even when someone wins a huge (and my huge, at this casino that is as high as $15,750), it is actually good for the bottom line. Because they tell their friends, who then come in thinking they will win. And paying jackpots was my favorite part of the job. There is just something about laying out thanksands of dollars in front of someone while counting it out to them. I always loved when people win.
After all, I also watched people go completely broke chasing the big win. I saw one once (well, I didn't actually see it, but I saw the afttermath) run out of money, drain their bank account, run out of money again, then beg people for $3 in gas money to be able to get home (if I would have seen that, I would have had to ask her to leave, but I found out after the fact). When someone (another sweet old lady who I haven't seen since COVID hit so I have a feeling she is no longer...capable of visiting, let's put it that way) told me, I saw the one who had asked for $3 -- you guessed it, gambling that $3 to try to turn it into more.
But people do not seem to understand how slot machines work. Sure, they pay back generally close to 90% of what they take in. That is mandated by the state. But that is an OVERALL percentage. The machines will take and they will take. Then one person will get lucky, and the machine stays in compliance. There is never a guarantee that a guest will win at all. I once put $60 in a machine, bet the minimum of 75¢, and ran out of money without a SINGLE winning spin. Not even a win that paid less than my bet. Not even a one penny win. I never played that game again. But I have paid jackpots on that machine. I was just the unlucky one that time.
Another time, before I started spending more for better health insurance (and thank goodness I did that), I had a game that I liked to play. Most machines have higner payout percentages if you bet more. I would take $200 of each paycheck and use it in that game and either play until that money was gone or until I hit something good. And even if I lost, I had the means to make it until the next paycheck. After upping my health insurance, I was gambling maybe $20 per month at most.
But this one day I was betting $8.80 (it has a Chinese theme and the way the number 7 is considered lucky by many here, there it's the number 8 that is considered lucky). I got a reel combination that resulted in a win of $4,320. On that day, I was the lucky one. For that matter, every employee working at the time (other than the manager -- graveyard is supposedly the only shift where managers can accept tips because we are wearing more hats as far as job duties), some other managers do, but I figure that is between them and the company) -- but every employee other than the manager was handed a $100 bill by me. Tips/tokes/gratuities are NEVER required. I've had to have this conversation many times over the years when employees help with a jackpot and there is no tip. I have to tell them "Yes, they just won $4,000, that does not mean they have not lost a lot more than that." And I could look at their stats if they were using a player's card and see that even after a jackpot like that, they have still lost a lot of money.
It was a very interesting business to work in. I do not at all regret my time with the company. And my boss was very kind when I called him at 5am to tell him I would not be working there anymore, effective immediately. SSo yeah, I deefinitely burned the bridge with the company. But I am staying positive about the people I worked with and the overall experience. Behind Disneyland, this was the second favorite job I have ever had. I may be sad about how it went down at the end, but overall it was a fantastic experience and I will remember the good years I had. I met good people. I worked with good people. I served guests who were awesome to have in the casino.
Granted, there was the guy who tried to jump through a window trying to escape deputies. There was the robbery. There was the guy (who thankfully moved to the other side of the country) who would come in hammered off his rear and want drinks. He once offered me $10,000 for one beer. I said that even if he pulled out $10,000 on the spot, I would still say no. I doubt he had $10,000 on him. I would show him the door, then he would come back even druner, and with no memory of having been there earlier. There were fights. We had a guy break one of our doors (not the window thing -- he actually slit the wood slamming it open because he was upset that I asked to check his ID to make sure he was old enough to be there).
There was some workplace drama between people, but I did my best to stay out of it. If I could understand where both were coming from, I would sit with them and help them hash things out. But if one person came to me complaining about an issue they have with someone else but I'm not seeing what they were (I wrote "are" -- I have to get used to past tense with this job), I just tell them I don't want to hear the complaints. I heard it already, made a decision not to act because I don't see the thing they are complaining about, or it does not involve my shift at all,but people tend to just harp on it (sort of like me with this post).
There was once (quite a few years ago) we had an emplyee ask to go home sick. Their request was granted. Then they sat at a slot machine gambline for hours. We had a manager have too much to drink and cause a HUGE scene. Because of them, a rule was made that managers could not have more than two drinks in a day at the casino (just the one Jack and Coke I had that one day broke that rule). But that rule went away when that manager left. It was a specific rule to keep them in line.
But the good FAR outweighs the challenges. Iam curious to see how things go now that I am gone. But it would probably have to be through the grapevine. When I went in to pick up a few personal items, it felt strange even though I refused to go into the office (after all, the office is "employees only" and I no longer qualify). Just just being there, at least this soon after my employment ending, felt odd.
But I will find something new. It is a new chapter. A fresh start. A chance to maybe sleep normal hours (not sure I will get there; depends on what the nex step in employment is). And two fellow managers have offered to write me glowing recommendations, so that is good. I have definitely burned the bridge with the company. I have not burned any bridges with those with whom I worked. And Ihave no reason to burn any bridges. I worked with a good group of people. This boss was up there with the best bosses I've ever had. And I know everything coming down on me was not his decision (trust me, I've worked for him for over seven years; he is not a liar so if he says he is being told to do something by above him in the company, I believe him). He has proven over the years that he genuinely cares. He once LITERALLY saved my life by sending me to the hospital. Nurses, after doing blood work, were shocked I was still even alive. I had told my boss that the next day was my Friday, so I would go then to not miss work if I was kept overnight. Nurses said that if I would have ignored my boss and waited, I would have definitely died that day. Three days and two blood transfusions later, I was back on my feet and back at work.
So again, despite the fact that it came down to "leave on your own terms, or their terms?" I will always look back at my years there as a good experience. I learned a lot. Not just about the casino business, but how to be a more effective manager. As inconvenient as the times of training classes can be (great, let's go to a noon two hour training class when I have to be up at 9pm for work), the training program is good. And ongoing. You don't just go through initial training and then you're on your own. Classes are even repeated to keep it fresh. There is a binder of shift manager operating procedures in the office that we are told to read four times a year. Most of it is mundane and simple and there were pages that I skipped because I was there for so long I knew them. But there are also some special circumstances covered that it was helpful to re-read. Tehnically I was breaking a rule when I gave CPR at the casino one night. But if a 911 operator is telling me to do it, I am not going to argue. It's like the casino attendant who saw the robbery starting and was not seen, and immediately went outside to call 911, and told them -- when the robbers left -- which way they went, he could have gotten fired for that even though he did EXACTLY the right thing; not per policy, but as a person. All of the managers, including me, GANGED UP on HR to make sure he would not lose his job for having his cell phone on him or not having a manager be the one to make the call (I was uot back, and the other manager was a little busy being held at gunpoint and being threatened with death if he so much as touched his cell phone).
There are things about the company I will never understand. Like, I have an Apple Watch, and a new policy was emailed from HR a few days ago saying they are not allowed. And yet when I was part of drop night until this past monday, whoever was counting money would call me on my personal number (even not carrying my phone, even though I did start carrying it against the rules), I could answer on my watch. If I am not supposed to have it, why did my bosses call me on it?
But I did like when people would see me talking to another manager on my watch. I felt like Inspector Gadget. The difference is that his calls with Penny or Brain (did he have video calls with Brain? I forget) were video calls. Mine were audio calls.
Anyway, I need to shut up. I just have a lot of emotions in me right now. But the fact that my boss did not try to convince me to stay (he can be VERY pursuasive) and my other casino-level boss is telling me that he thinks it was the right thing makes me feel better about the decision. They know I got out before I was forced out. I was not sure about the "forced out" option but I had a feeling. Their reactions tell me that my intuition was correct. I do not know what is next, but I needed to turn that page. I just happen to be on a blank page right now. But the text will continue. I am going to miss the heck out of that job. Not as much as I miss Disneyland, but they were good to me for a long time. It's just a shame that I fell under the microscope because of health issues that they have documentation from doctors about. But I will not let that spoin my memories. A few people say I should sue them for holding medical issues against me, but I do not want that hassle. When I went down in January, I called my boss to tell him that I was ready to return to work, but told him that I would be using a walked. He said "absolutely not in a walker." Then he got chewed out about reasonable accomodation, and he let me back. And the funny thing is that whoever enforced reasonable accomodation is likely the same person who now wanted me out. I do not know that for sure.
So, yeah. That happened. I will see what the next chapter entails. All I know is that she won't discover that it's him 'til chapter three (Beauty and the Beast reference unrelated to my situation). As emotional as this time is, I have to find those moments of humor and happiness. It is a huge change in my life, but I have to remain myself, even under stress. And the encouraging words of even my bosses tell me that not only do they accept my decision, but they want what is best for me in the long run.
It's almost like the last time I was at Disneyland in 2019. I saw one of my old managers on the parade route irecting the sales of glow merchandise (it was always his thing) and I walked up to say hello. I look a LOT different than I did as a cast member. I'm much older and balder and more wrinkly. He recognized me as soon as he saw me. And right before the Main Street Electrical Parade (I think -- maybe it was Paint the Night by then; speaking with a former colleague who was maybe my best boss ever was more important to me than the parade). I remember "shooting out the lights on Main Street." I would take two glow swords and recreat the 1992 opening ceremony to the Barceloa Olympics (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmRf41SVHS4). Except opposite. That guy used a bow and flaming arrow to light the Olympic torch (and it really was an impressive shot). I used my (fake) bow and arrow to turn the lights off for the parade. I always got at least some applause directed at me, not just the parade. I used to walk down Main Street U.S.A. and get cheered. Even during other parades, I would (badly) dance (I am not much of a danceer). But people recognized that I was trying and they would applaud.
I will not remember the casino QUITE as well as I do Disneyland. But I wil remember it fondly.
There will come a time when I will make another appearance at the casino. After I am employed again, I may even gamble some. But it is too soon, other than picking up some personal items yesterday.

Shaman told MHJ she had 5 yr to carry out her plans & this is the 5 yr. I can’t help but to chuckle knowing that her shaman tried to have MHJ hire a shaman in training at Ador to alleviate her needs, Shaman was couldn’t deal w/her constant texting 24/7 🫠 Mimi this is SO SO weird and iam "weird"
This is why you shouldn't let spiritual things heavily interfere with work. It's fine to get advice and such but THIS is dangerous...

Can I ask a question? I am scared to ask.
I just feel like if they want to have some English lyrics in a song, they sld just hire a native English speaking lyricist. Sometimes it feels to me like their emotions are right but they can't get the right type of words to convey it in English. The choice of English words are too basic, entry level, and it all ends up falling flat.
I hope Iam not being rude.
But then, where would be the fun in that?
I can sort of understand where you're coming from. What is "so time is yet now, right here to go"? Grammatically incorrect, it almost sounds like gibberish. And it is weird that a verse like that, which can probably be changed easily to sound right, it was kept in that form.
But let me put this into another perspective.
Do you know who wrote Backstreet Boys' mega hit I Want It That Way? Some Swedish dudes. The song makes no sense, to this day. Although there have been attempts at trying to offer an explanation for what is the "It", in reality there's none. Does it have an actual negative effect? Not in the least. Twenty plus years later and it's still a major bop and we all know the lyrics.
A lot of europop/eurodance is like that. Actually, worse. It sounds fine, until you actually pay attention to the lyrics. I don't know if you've seen the tiktok mania lately surrounding the Planet of The Bass song, a parody of 90s eurodance. As fun as that song is, they made a really good job at depicting what are the major components of the genre, stylistically and culturally. Take away the lyrics and you're left without what actually makes the songs what they are at their core.
It's the same with K-Pop, which again has lyricists and music producers from Europe as well who work within the industry, among Koreans, Americans and people from all over the world. It's a blend. Kpop is not just korean language pop, but it includes layers and multitudes. A poster child of globalization in the self surveillance era of the internet.
There's no written rule that someone singing in English needs to have perfectly correct lyrics. I don't think it's a direct attempt at trying to challenge something hegemonic that has obvious colonial undertones, but it can be interpreted as that? I don't know, it's just a thought.

I hate to burst a bubble but Emma Slater is a ballroom choreographer. Unfortunately it is more believable that an IAM team hired her for choreo than an American TV show booked a pair of washed up Canadian athletes with 14 fans.
i considered that as a more probable option but it didnt sound as fun💁🏼‍♀️

Iam Nick from florida, currently am looking for online job clients for job work is "live chat with people" for hiring click here:- https://tinyurl.com/3j5m7ks6
Hiring managers acknowledge as much. In a survey of more than 1,000 hiring managers last summer, 27% reported having job postings up for more than four months. Among those who said they advertised job postings that they weren’t actively trying to fill, close to half said they kept the ads up to give the impression the company was growing, according to Clarify Capital, a small-business-loan provider behind the study. One-third of the managers who said they advertised jobs they weren’t trying to fill said they kept the listings up to placate overworked employees.
You've probably been in the position of sending out your resume far and wide, filling out zillions of applications, and going weeks or even months before even getting an answer. Well, turns out a lot of it's because they're not actually hiring anyone. It's not just you.

15 years later, what has become of Prison Break star Wentworth Miller?
Tumblr media
In 2005, the public discovered the character of Michael Scofield, a gifted engineer who gets himself locked up in Fox River Prison in order to get his brother Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) out. At the time, the public was charmed by the charisma of Michael's actor, Wentworth Miller , who was 33 years old when the first season was filmed.
The success was total, including in France, where the series was broadcast on M6 with the famous theme song sung by rapper Faf Larage, younger brother of Shurik'n from IAM. The show continued for 4 seasons and ended (temporarily) in 2009 with the TV movie La Dernière Évasion.
Miller, who had gotten his start on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and ER , had finally found a series of his own, but once it was over, he struck while the iron was hot. He was immediately seen in Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010), an episode of House , and a Karl Urban-led thriller, Vertigo .
Prison Break reunion in superhero series
But it is truly with the superhero series The Flash that the actor will bounce back. First simply hired to play the villain Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold opposite Barry Allen played by Grant Gustin , he returns at regular intervals in the series thanks to the public's enthusiasm for the actor and the sense of cool that he brings to his super-villain.
Two years later, he got a series of his own with other heroes from the "Arrowverse", called DC's Legends of Tomorrow , in which he reunited with his Prison Break sidekick Dominic Purcell . Present intermittently from 2016 to 2021 in the show, he still plays Captain Cold.
At the same time, Miller moved to the "other side" of the camera by writing the screenplays for Park Chan-wook's psychological thriller Stoker (2013) with Mia Wasikowska and Nicole Kidman and then (with DJ Caruso) for the horror thriller The Forgotten Room (2016).
Prison Break Season 5
Miller's less presence is because he left in 2017 to shoot a fifth season - many would say "one season too many" - of Prison Break. Poorly received, highly criticized, it left fans with a bitter taste, and the actor was content to appear in two episodes of New York - Special Unit and in DC's Legends, then disappeared from the screens for a while.
He is preparing his big comeback alongside his friend Dominic Purcell in Snatchback, a series adapted from a true story about a team of secret agents tasked with freeing hostages around the world. To be continued…

Affordable and Reliable Packers and Movers
Moving to a new home or office can be a daunting experience, filled with challenges such as packing, transporting, and organizing your belongings. This is where packers and movers come in, making the process smoother and less stressful. Finding the right movers and packers, however, can be overwhelming, especially when you want affordability without compromising on reliability. This guide will help you understand how to choose affordable and reliable packers and movers, what factors to consider, and how to ensure a seamless moving experience.
1. Why You Need Packers and Movers
Packers and movers are professionals who handle the complete process of relocation, from packing your belongings to transporting them safely and unpacking them at the new location. Here are some reasons why hiring packers and movers is beneficial:
Expertise: Professional movers are trained to pack and handle various types of goods, ensuring that your fragile items, electronics, and furniture are packed securely.
Time-Saving: A major advantage of hiring movers and packers is that they save you time and effort by taking care of the entire process. From packing to transportation, they handle everything efficiently.
Safety and Security: With professional packers and movers Patna, your items are less likely to get damaged or lost during the move, as they use proper packing materials and methods.
Insurance Coverage: Most reputable moving companies offer insurance for your belongings, providing you with financial protection in case of any unforeseen damages or loss.
2. Factors to Consider When Choosing Packers and Movers
When looking for affordable and reliable packers and movers, it’s important to evaluate certain key factors to ensure that your move is handled efficiently and without hassle.
a. Reputation and Experience
Reputation is a powerful indicator of quality of service for a moving company. To find out how satisfied previous clients were, look for testimonials and feedback from them. Experienced movers and packers are more likely to offer reliable services, as they’ve dealt with different types of moves and have honed their skills over time.
How to Check Reputation: Search for reviews on Google, social media, and moving forums.
Years in Business: Opt for companies with a solid track record and several years of experience in the industry.
b. Licensing and Certification
It’s crucial to ensure that the movers you choose are licensed and certified. This guarantees that the company complies with the necessary legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring your belongings are in safe hands.
Verify License: Ask the company for their registration number and check it with the relevant local transport authorities.
Membership in Associations: Movers that are part of professional associations like the International Association of Movers (IAM) or the American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA) often adhere to higher standards of service.
c. Affordability
Finding affordable packers and movers doesn’t mean opting for the cheapest service. It’s about striking the right balance between cost and quality. Cheap services may lead to compromised quality, while high-cost services might not be feasible for your budget.
Get Multiple Quotes: Contact several companies to get quotes and compare prices. Make sure to get detailed quotes that outline all the services included, such as packing materials, transportation, and insurance.
Avoid Hidden Costs: Ask about any potential hidden fees, such as additional charges for packing delicate items, disassembling furniture, or moving in tough conditions like narrow stairways or long distances.
d. Insurance and Liability Coverage
To ensure the safety of your belongings, choose a moving company that offers adequate insurance. This will protect you financially in case of any damage or loss during the move.
Types of Insurance: Look for companies that provide transit insurance, covering goods from the time they are packed until they reach the destination.
Valuation Coverage: Understand the mover’s policy on liability for lost or damaged items, as this can vary from full coverage to released value protection, which offers minimal reimbursement.
e. Range of Services
Different moves require different services. Some movers offer additional services like unpacking, disassembly/reassembly of furniture, storage options, or pet relocation. Opt for a company that provides the services you need.
Packing Services: If you need help packing, look for movers who offer comprehensive packing solutions, using quality materials like bubble wrap, boxes, and packing tape.
Specialized Services: If you have fragile items like pianos, art pieces, or large equipment, make sure the company has expertise in handling such items.
3. How to Identify Reliable Packers and Movers
Reliability is crucial when selecting a moving company. A reliable mover ensures that your belongings arrive safely and on time at your new location. Here’s how to identify reliable movers and packers:
a. Transparent Communication
Reliable movers maintain clear communication throughout the moving process through packers and movers in Hajipur. From providing an accurate quote to explaining the process and confirming schedules, they should keep you informed every step of the way.
No Ambiguity: A trustworthy company will explain their services, terms, and pricing in detail. They should also offer a written contract that outlines all the aspects of the move.
Responsive Customer Support: Check whether the company is responsive to inquiries and willing to address any concerns you might have. A dedicated customer service team is a positive sign of reliability.
b. On-Time Delivery
Timely delivery is one of the key factors that determine the reliability of a moving company. Delays in the moving process can cause inconvenience, especially if you’re moving long distances or need to vacate your current premises on a specific date.
Track Record: Look for movers with a history of punctual deliveries.
Guaranteed Timelines: Some movers offer guarantees for delivery dates, providing peace of mind that your belongings will arrive as scheduled.
c. Trained and Professional Staff
The quality of staff directly affects the quality of service. A reliable company will have trained, uniformed professionals who handle your belongings with care and ensure that everything is transported safely.
Professionalism: Check if the company’s staff are courteous, well-trained, and follow proper packing and moving protocols.
Equipment and Tools: A professional moving company will use the right equipment, such as moving dollies, packing materials, and vehicle ramps, to ensure a smooth and safe move.
4. Tips for a Smooth and Affordable Move
Even when you hire affordable and reliable packers and movers, there are steps you can take to make your move smoother and more cost-effective.
a. Plan Your Move Early
Start planning your move well in advance. This gives you time to research and compare different movers and packers and book a reputable company early, which can often result in better pricing and availability.
Off-Season Moves: If possible, plan your move during off-peak times, such as weekdays or non-holiday seasons, when rates are lower.
b. Declutter Before Moving
The cost of moving often depends on the volume of items being transported. Before the movers arrive, declutter your belongings by selling, donating, or discarding items you no longer need. This reduces the load, resulting in lower costs.
Less is More: Fewer items mean less time packing, fewer packing materials, and reduced transport costs.
c. Pack Some Items Yourself
While professional movers are experts at packing fragile and large items, you can save on costs by packing certain non-fragile items like clothing, books, and kitchenware yourself.
DIY Packing: Use sturdy boxes, bubble wrap, and packing tape to secure your items, ensuring they’re ready for the movers to load into the truck.
d. Label Boxes Clearly
To avoid confusion during unpacking, label all boxes clearly with their contents and the room they belong in. This helps both you and the movers know where everything goes, making the process more efficient.
In Conclusion
Hiring affordable and reliable packers and movers can transform your moving experience from stressful to seamless. By focusing on the company’s reputation, experience, affordability, insurance options, and range of services, you can find a mover that fits both your budget and your needs. Proper planning, decluttering, and handling some of the packing yourself can further reduce costs and ensure a smooth transition to your new home or office.
By choosing the right packers and movers, you can rest assured that your belongings will be handled with care, arriving safely and on time at your new destination.

Unlocking Business Success: The Power of a Robust Cloud Strategy
Tumblr media
In today’s digital-first world, organizations are rapidly adopting cloud technologies to stay competitive and agile. A well-defined cloud strategy is no longer just a technology upgrade; it’s a critical component for driving business growth, innovation, and operational efficiency. In this blog, we'll explore why having a comprehensive cloud strategy is essential for modern enterprises and how it can unlock new opportunities for business success.
Why is a Cloud Strategy Important?
A cloud strategy outlines how an organization will leverage cloud computing to achieve its business goals. It provides a roadmap for selecting the right cloud services, managing data, and optimizing costs while ensuring security and compliance. Without a strategic approach, businesses risk overspending, underutilizing resources, and failing to achieve desired outcomes.
Key Components of an Effective Cloud Strategy
Assessment and Planning: Begin by assessing your current IT landscape. Identify workloads suitable for the cloud and evaluate their readiness. Planning should include defining objectives, setting timelines, and determining the resources needed for a smooth migration.
Choosing the Right Cloud Model: Whether it’s public, private, or hybrid cloud, selecting the right model is crucial. Consider factors such as data sensitivity, compliance requirements, and scalability needs. A hybrid cloud strategy can offer the flexibility to run sensitive workloads on private infrastructure while leveraging the public cloud for scalable applications.
Cost Management: One of the significant benefits of cloud adoption is cost efficiency. However, without a solid cloud strategy, expenses can spiral out of control. Implement cost management practices such as rightsizing instances, using reserved instances, and leveraging cloud-native cost management tools to optimize spending.
Security and Compliance: Security should be a top priority in your cloud strategy. Implement robust security measures such as encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and regular audits. Additionally, ensure compliance with industry standards like GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS based on your business requirements.
Cloud Governance: Establish governance policies to control how cloud resources are consumed across the organization. This includes setting up access controls, monitoring usage, and enforcing best practices to maintain a secure and efficient cloud environment.
Continuous Optimization: A cloud strategy is not a one-time effort but an ongoing process. Continuously monitor performance, costs, and security postures to identify areas for improvement. Use analytics and feedback to refine your strategy and ensure it aligns with evolving business goals.
Common Challenges in Implementing a Cloud Strategy
Complexity of Migration: Migrating legacy systems to the cloud can be complex and time-consuming. A phased approach, starting with non-critical workloads, can help mitigate risks and minimize disruptions.
Skill Gaps: Organizations often lack the necessary skills to manage cloud environments effectively. Investing in training and hiring experienced professionals is crucial for a successful cloud strategy.
Data Security Concerns: While cloud providers offer robust security, the shared responsibility model means businesses must also secure their data and applications. Ensure your cloud strategy includes a comprehensive security plan.
The Future of Cloud Strategy
As technologies like AI, IoT, and edge computing evolve, they will further impact cloud strategy. Businesses must stay ahead by adopting new technologies and adapting their strategies to leverage these advancements. A proactive approach to cloud strategy will enable organizations to innovate faster, respond to market changes, and deliver superior customer experiences.
Conclusion
A well-crafted cloud strategy is more than just a technology plan; it’s a business enabler that drives innovation, reduces costs, and enhances agility. By understanding the key components and overcoming common challenges, organizations can unlock the full potential of the cloud and position themselves for long-term success. Whether you are just starting your cloud journey or looking to optimize existing deployments, a strategic approach will ensure you get the most out of your cloud investments.

Boeing Freezes Hiring Amid Worker Strike and Cost-Cutting Measures
Tumblr media
[Source – cnbc.com]
Boeing Freezes Hiring and is taking additional steps to control costs, including considering temporary furloughs, as a strike involving more than 30,000 workers entered its fourth day. The walkout, which began last week with 96% union member support, has disrupted production of Boeing’s 737 aircraft at a crucial time when the company was working to accelerate assembly. Now, Boeing executives must manage the work stoppage while preparing a new offer for negotiations scheduled to resume on Tuesday.
Boeing’s CFO, Brian West, warned employees that the strike could seriously impact the company’s financial recovery, and in a letter on Monday, he announced the company would halt the majority of supplier purchase orders for its 737, 767, and 777 programs. This rare move could ripple through the aerospace supply chain, which is still recovering from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Financial Challenges and Supply Chain Fears
Boeing Freezes Hiring as it prioritizes the preservation of its credit rating, which is currently one notch above junk status. The decision to suspend parts orders for most of its aircraft programs, except the 787 Dreamliner, is uncommon and could further deepen the industry’s struggles. Some supply chain sources have raised concerns that smaller companies lacking financial reserves may be forced to lay off workers, potentially creating a cycle of workforce reductions and delays in rehiring once the strike ends.
Boeing is already grappling with significant challenges, including a production crisis following a safety issue with a 737 MAX aircraft in January, as well as $60 billion in debt. S&P Global Ratings cautioned that a prolonged strike would be difficult for Boeing to absorb, given its current financial strain. The strike could result in Boeing reducing its production schedule by 33-35 jets, potentially leading to $102 million in daily revenue losses.
Union Demands and Negotiation Outlook
How Boeing plans to preserve cash amid ongoing strike
youtube
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) rejected Boeing’s offer of a 25% pay increase over four years, which did not include an annual performance bonus. The union initially requested a 40% wage hike and is also pushing for the reinstatement of a defined-benefit pension plan.Although union sources do not expect Boeing Freezes Hiring to restore the pension plan, they believe it could serve as leverage to negotiate higher pension contributions and wage increases.
Despite the tough stance on both sides, union members remain optimistic about securing better terms, though they do not anticipate a quick resolution. Many workers are prepared for a potentially long strike, drawing on lessons from past work stoppages.
