There are now at least two theories in TLT that seem to exclude one another yet both are true. Both Harrow and Palamedes' theories about how lyctorhood is achieved are true. Both Harrow's theory that her weird experiences are due to her psychosis and Abigail's that it's bc she is super haunted by ghosts are also true. There may be others. I know Tazmuir is religious but seems to have a good deal of biology knowledge, which biologists are one of the least religious groups in science. I wonder if this is reflective of her experience as a religious person who is both queer and probably believes in evolution?

One of the things that get me about the ending of utrh is that it shakes the very foundations of what Batman was supposed to be. The fact that he choses to attack Jason, save Joker, and leave Jason for dead goes all the way back to once upon a time to make it so that little eight year old Bruce is standing in an alley seeing his father get shot and deciding to protect Joe Chill once his mother starts screaming. It doesn't matter what version of him you go with, if the gritty "I Am The Night", or the more compassionate version of him who wants to prevent what happened to him from happening to anyone else:

He had a miraculous second chance to redo one of the tragedies that marked him and he fails to either avenge the wrong done against his family or prevent any sort of future harm from befalling the innocent.

At that point it's made clear that whatever Batman was supposed to be, he's failed at it

Brief rant but there is something so appalling to me when I see a writer use AI-generated images (no I won't call it art because it isn't, tyvm) for the header/cover of their writing/fic.

People don't want their work scraped. Be it writing, visual arts, music or voices even. But then go and use AI-generated shit out of an art field they don't actively contribute to. It disgusts me. Have you no conscience or shame?

Most writers are actively against the use of AI. Many people don't want to read fics written by AI.

So for the love of god...

If you're against AI - fucking be against it in all art forms and not just your own. It's hypocritical af!

The 'cat and mouse' dynamic is a literary trope and Killing Eve is an extremely popular series with thousands of people writing and referencing the work and the couple in their fics. I haven't seen any other series about a Shapeshifter reader secretly dating wanda but even if I had, no one has authorship of classical literary tropes, or dynamics, especially when it comes to fanfiction. Try to study the subject a little before making accusations that don't make any fucking sense.

the other fundamental flaw with alec goes to winslow is the assumption that alec could be even remotely cool about having to attend school and then having Children From Normal Society attempt to interact with him or god forbid hold any level of social authority over him. and that's not even talking about the teachers. he would snap so fast he'd think he was entirely calm but he would not make it through lunch without surreptitiously tripping anyone and everyone who annoyed him. like he would hear people talking about going to see a movie with their family that weekend or deciding to get ice cream together after school and it would turn him into the joker. he would find the emmas of the world funny for all of three seconds but one too many incidents of someone shoving him in the hall and he would reflexively trip them into the nearest locker (no power needed), slam their head in the door, say "whoops," really sarcastically, and then say "whoops" significantly more genuinely when he realizes they're bleeding profusely. ok today i'm griping about that one study they did where they got people to administer electrical shocks to someone until reaching a 'fatal' amount of electricity to somehow price that the majority of people would kill someone if they were told to do it by a perceived authority figure out something and like I can certainly see the point that someone would do so out of ignorance because electricity is frankly a lot more dangerous than people assume (seriously if you receive any shock bigger than a static shock go to the fucking hospital but I digress)

but people keep quoting it acting like the average person would KNOWINGLY kill someone just because they were told to because the voltage was stated to the participants but the fact of the matter is that the average person knows approximately jack shit about the lethal voltage of electricity and/or safety surrounding it and 1000% would not assume that an official experiment would even be allowed to do that in the first place

unless the person was told point blank what the actual harm of those shocks would be beyond pain I flat out refuse to believe the majority of people would be willing to kill or permanently disable someone just because someone in charge said so and screw the nihilistic attitude that says otherwise
