NINJAGO MOVIE AU

OKAY SO NINJAGO MOVID AU W ARIN, SORA AND WLYDFYRE SO HERE WE GO! But first big thanks to my friend @imotakkun who helped me come up with some stuff for this au 🤩‼️

First off, the ninja, when we saw them in the movie they were all highschoolers. But if we'll still applying some rules from the show we can assume they're all adults by now.

Now, at first, I was gonna have them be in college, but we have to take in how the movie ended. However, I did more thinking, and ninja's identities have been revealed, so it's safe to assume college and any part of their daily aspects have been affected.

So what happens? Well, first, I'm trying to figure out something equivalent to the merge, but I'm not sure if it's gonna an actual event this au as I don't want it being exactly like the merge.

But for the ninja, I came up with an idea. However, it's quite angsty. Well, Garamadon is now good, so the ninja have no one to defend ninjago from? What if this caused them all to slowly distance themselves, but before the final blow, what if Wu went missing? Wu going missing is what can be the final straw, and the ninja go there separate ways.

Yeah, that'd be pretty painful, I think.

Now I'm thinking that right after Wu disappears, something happens that like the merge can happen and cause all these people to go missing, and can open a new book of possibilities? But I'm still thinking, so if anyone has any ideas, please feel free to share!

Anyways so after this event, that's the end of the original ninja, and years go by and no one has seen them. Like in series I'll add a timeskip, but this one will be confirmed (lol) I'll say 5 years.

Now something like the merge has happened, all these new developments in Ninjago City, all these new people, and the world has adjusted. So when this big event happened Arin and Sora could be like 10 then after the timeskip they'd be 15.

OKAY, now to Ninjago High School!!! Let's start with Arin and Sora. In the series they seemed to get along with people well in the crossroads, so I would like to apply this to this au.

Let's start with Arin, first off, he's a huge ninja fan, who doesn't like the ninja!? I would like to imagine that the school has a ninja fan club which he'd absolutely be the president of.

Also, he's extremely friendly, so I think he'd be pretty popular having a great personality, being a ninja fan, and making some pretty delicious pies.

To add on, he'd also definitely be into an elective where he can bake, he'd also most likely be a huge history nerd. (Since in the show tells Lloyd about all the types of pie crust, also ninja fan sooo)

Now, to the angsty part of Arin, in the big event, like in the show, he lost his parents. And well, I'd kinda wanna make this au a tad more realistic, so, following the disappearance of his parents, the world's all in chaos. However, after a while since school is mandatory here, perhaps one of his teachers caught onto this and he was put in foster care.

Unfortunately, his current foster parents aren't all too nice :( So he spends most of his time in school anyway. Not that he minds, it just gives him the chance to better his school record for college.

Luckily for him he has a great best friend!

Sora!!!

Let's dive into her story. So to start off, she's definitely a stem girl, loves stem, is a huggeeeee stem nerd. I'd imagine she's as popular as Arin. They're just seen as that duo in the halls. I mean, why wouldn't she be popular? She's super skillful, independent, and smart! (Perhaps trans? 👀)

She's also really easy to get along with. She reminds me of those nice popular girls you see around school who are crazy talented and in all these extracurricular activities.

Speaking of Sora most definitely loves all things cats, and is a huge music nerd you cannot convince me otherwise. Though I can also see her being a huge gamer so she'd definitely be I'm her school's esports club.

Now, as to her backstory...like in the show, she's a runaway, and she often compares how much better her new school is compared to her old one. Especially since her hometown sucked.

Now, no one really knows where she came from. She was just there for freshman orientation. Since she'd good at tech stuff (and she's a good student), she'd be able to escape getting put in the foster system. Whenever someone checks her records, she can just hack them.

Now, for where she lives, this would be kinda tricky, but I'd like to imagine her working at a library, and her boss (Mr frohicky) let's her stay in the library over night.

And it's not all bad! Sora even discovered a secret room hidden in the library, which she turns onto her own room. (think of Amitys secret room in the library from the owl house) She just really loves it, and it's definitely her safe space.

Sora often has sleepovers with Arin in the library. The two get a bunch of books and blankets and make a tiny fort.

And since the library has computers and free wifi it's the ultimate spot for sleepovers.

Arin would often geek out about the Ninja and ninjago history, showing Sora books, videos, photos, and stories of the ninja.

And in return, Sora would show Arin a bunch of video games, music, and her current experiments.

The two talked about everything! Heck Sora even offered to hack Arin out of the foster system, he denied, though, as it was too risky, plus he didn't want her getting caught and also being put in the foster system.

But it was fine, as they spent most of their time in school, the two did almost everything together. They were the it duo of the school. They were friendly, skilled, and straight A student, so it was a no-brainer when they were called into the office to show the new student around!

Wlydfyre, well, she's wild, I mean, what can you expect from a kid who grew up in the wild? She would often go to the nearest junkyard and do what she could with what she found. Sometimes, she'd get caught, but she's too slippery to actually get caught. She'd often use her powers, too, which appeared out of nowhere, but she didn't question it. How did this girl never get restraint? Who knows?

Until she found someone like her, a guy with fire powers?? Kai had found the girl and, after a bit of talking, decided, 'I'm adopting this child', and without all the paperwork! It was a win-win situation, adopt kid, no paperwork, yayy!!

So Kai being Kai... sent her to a highschool...yeah kinda questionable on his part, but eh governments have done worse.

But that's a story for another time. What Arin didn't expect was seeing his best friend gain these magical tech powers?

It even shocked her. You see, they were in a tight situation, causing them having to defend themselves, so Arin did his fanboy spinjitzu, and Sora discovered her magical tech powers. Through this baby dragon??(where had he come from?)

After the two got away, and the baby dragon just?? Disappeared, they were wondering if they were both collectively hallucinating. But that thought would be broken when the police appeared and ARRESTED THEM?

Welp can't do much when you're in jail. Both were in a sort of panic as Arin didn't want to deal with his foster parents, and Sora had no parents, so she'd definitely get caught.

Luckily for them, they were released by their older cousin.

EXCEPT THEY HAD NO OLDER COUSIN? It seemed to be this blonde guy? They couldn't really see his face as he wore a hood, but something about him was familiar to Arin.

After they left the station, both Arin and Sora were pretty cautious because...well, stranger danger? But he did bail them out.

That was until the guy took off his hood which made the two do a double take.

It was THE green ninja, Lloyd Garamdon?

Lloyd had gone years without seeing any of the ninjas, that was until he and Kai had recently found each other again. And when he found out Kai had found a kid from the wild? And he took it under his wing. He definitely didn't think he'd see the day where Kai was taking on a mentorship kinda role, yet here they are.

But anyways Lloyd was lonely, and to put it lightly really, really sad. He had been alone for about five years. He'd often visit his parents, but they were currently off on a vacation, so it was just him. Man he really missed his friends.

He decided to be the sneaky ninja he was and go out at night and see what's up.

Well, what he didn't expect to see two figures, one doing spinjitzu and the other had..Elemental powers? Before he could go up to the two, the police got to them first.

Good thing he was a master of disguise.

Once he got them out of jail, he did NOT expect to see just two lil teenagers. It reminded him of when he was in highschool and well.

I'm assuming you've all watched the ninjago movie.

So when asked who was doing spinjitzu and using Elemental powers during the street fight. The two younger duo were well surprised.

Especially Arin, poor boy, was about to faint. As the two explained that it was, in fact, them, Lloyd was getting confused now.

They both achieved these skills, WITHOUT training?

He silently cursed Wu in his head. Well, he thought he could take them under his wing just like his uncle had done! How hard could it be? Right? Right?

Everyone screamed when the baby dragon from earlier appeared out of NOWHERE.

Yeah, Lloyd had his work cut out for him.

OKAY SO THATS WHAT I HAVE SO FAR, sorry if the writings not that good...I've never made a full au before EVER, I'll try and make some art for it when I have the chance. I kinda wanted to add some type of realistic affect to this au this yk talking about foster system and just generally child services (as i and ppl close to me have experinced it sooo) ALSO SORRY FOR THE LONG WAIT. Okay I am loving your takes so much while I am not a huge fan of Misako and Wu what you said made me think about a few things I'm still not a fan of them buuuut I don't think I dislike Misako as much and I also agreed with your take with the whole Nya Cole Jay thing anyways that's besides the point!!! How would Wu and the rest of the family Garmadon Misako & Lloyd react to Morro liking Kai?

Thank you for saying that, I greatly appreciate it! I get that Wusako isn't everyone's cup of tea, so no worries fam! I haven't been able to really explain my "takes" on a lot of the canon ships before, so it's nice to know my thoughts are being well received lol

NOW AS FOR THE DESTINYSHIPPING MOTHERFUCKERS -

Okay if you're a regular on my blog you probably know I have a million different ways that Destiny can become canon. Beyond that, there's a mullion different ways Morro actually joins the team in the first place. Morro takes Wu's hand. Morro comes back on the day of the Departed. Morro never actually leaves Wu's monastery (but we're ignoring that one for the sake of Destiny)

It's no secret that Kai probably hates Morro the most. He was the most relentless when it came to fighting him, trying to get Lloyd back, et cetera. Even during the Day of the Departed, he's the only one other than Lloyd who actually addresses him, ready to fight. So naturally, when setting up Destiny as a couple, you need to get over that barrier.

Morro joining the team under any circumstances is weird. One, he and Lloyd obviously aren't going to get along. Two, he might not even want to be a ninja. Three, he may not even fit into the group at all. Because of the way the characters are written, I think that if Wu gave Morro the chance of redemption, and Morro actually took it, the team would accept it and him. They stood down when Wu told them to, so it's not unrealistic that they'd trust him - after some protesting - that Morro wouldn't hurt them.

Except for Kai. Kai didn't trust Garmadon in season one, and that was Lloyd's father. Why would he ever trust Morro? Eventually everyone moves past not trusting Morro, if only because they're so annoyed by him and Kai fighting all the time. Even Lloyd I think would want Kai to give Morro a chance. It wouldn't be until either they're united against a common enemy, or until they're forced to see each other beyond their surface level traits, that they'd even be friends. However, I think that the second both Kai and Morro get past their animosity, they're bound to get together. Completely inseparable.

As for the reactions? WELL BABY LET ME TELL YOU -

Wu: He's extremely grateful that they've stopped fighting. Wu will never stop seeing Morro as a son either, so he's happy that he's giving himself the chance to be truly happy with someone. Of course, he gives Kai the stereotypical threat of "you hurt my son I hurt your face" but he's very supportive

Garmadon: Depending on which Garmadon we're talking about here. Evil Garmadon couldn't care less, he's not involved with their teenage shenanigans. Good Garmadon, however, would be concerned. I think he'd want to treat with Morro with respect, given that he's Wu's adopted child, but Morro still hurt his baby. He's always going to be biased against him. Not that Kai is Garmadon's favorite or anything, but he's still a little protective. Regardless, he doesn't voice his concerns to either of them, instead showing support, even if he's skeptical of their pairing.

Misako: I feel like she'd be in the same boat as Wu - relieved that they're not fighting, and that they're both happy. Misako isn't super close with either boy, so she's not as protective, but they're both part of her family, and she's always glad to see people overcoming their differences.

Lloyd: Now Lloyd is the trickiest, because he can either be their biggest cheerleader, or their biggest opposer. It depends on whether or not Lloyd's actually forgiven Morro, how he'll react. If he has, then sure enough he was right with Wu, trying to encourage Kai to stop picking fights, and was glad to find out they actually care about each other. If he hasn't forgiven Morro, however, then it's gonna be all too easy for him to get reasonably upset. Kai is supposed to be his brother - to protect him, and he goes and starts kissing the ghost that forced him to fight his friends??? Lloyd would get bitter fast in that case, and though he'd try to keep his feelings out of the fight, he'd slip up occasionally, and until he resolved things with both Kai and Morro, it would cost the team a lot. Lloyd's understanding and kindness is underestimated a lot; he tries to see the best in even the worst of people, and if you make an effort to do the right thing, he'll notice it. That being said, this is still the same kid who opened three serpentine tombs because he couldn't have some candy. Lloyd's ability to hold a grudge is strong, even turning him against his father at one point, but in the end he always comes around when he realizes the cost of his anger and acting on it isn't worth the consequences

Well now I gotta know, do any of these people actually have any kind of driving license??? I sure know Lloyd probably doesn't (but do you really need a license to drive a dragon?)

Cole and Nya both have a motorcycle license (Nya had to fake her age to get hers, don't tell)

Zane and Jesse have normal driver's licenses (Jesse, however, does not like to drive because there's too many variables/surprises that can occur when behind the wheel and he gets overwhelmed)

Jay has a specialized pilot's license, and gets his driver's license in season 3

Kai doesn't have any sort of license at the moment, but also gets his driver's license in season 3 (along with the X-1 Ninja Charger and I'm so eXCITED)

Lloyd doesn't get any kind of license til way later when his mom nags him about it; for the moment, he's fine riding around in whatever he manages to craft up (even if it's not street legal but that's never stopped people before)

Olivia also has no licensure of any kind; it would be correct to assume she'd be a menace behind any kind of wheel (good thing breaking laws isn't very high on her concerns list)

WIP Word Train

I may or may not have cried a little on the inside from joy when @seecarrun tagged me. The ultimate "senpai noticed me" moment, honestly. My word was CHAOS, so here we go! (I'm gonna go with a few different WIPs, since I have a few on hand.)

C - Colette exhaled softly, offering one last suckle on his lip before sitting atop him. Her chest heaved as she fought to regain her breath, and Lloyd throbbed at the sight of the slick gloss covering her lips. Insistent fingers dug deeper into her butt, and she heaved out an exhale through a wanton grin.

H - Hers were the legs of a girl who had spent years walking foreign roads and swimming through every known type of body of water. They were splayed along the couch as his eyes followed the curve of her thigh, up and around her knee, and slowly descended down to her ankle. The skin looked smooth, and he randomly felt his hand twitch. His gaze climbed back up her calf, along the back of her thigh, and eventually settled on the swell of her hips. He felt his breaths begin to fill his lungs in shudders, watching her shorts eventually turn into the skin of her waist, and then-

A - Ash wouldn't back out of this; she'd make sure he followed through with his end of the deal no matter what. In a way, this was no longer about her or her feelings for him; this was the status quo, another argument with Ash. There was a solace in the familiarity, knowing that he could respond in the incensed way she was used to. In a way, she was ready for it; neither romance nor tact were Ash's specialty, and a corner of her heart had been portioned off, set aside to anchor her as the rest of her mourned for a hand she'd never hold, a kiss she'd never get to gush over days afterwards.

O - Oh, how she loathed using that word right now. She was the straddler, not the straddled; it was her turn, not his. Where was this self-control coming from, this ability to stoke the desire in her without succumbing to his own?

S - Something between a cough and a gasp ejected itself from Ash’s mouth as he swallowed, nearly sending his drink out of his nose. He couldn’t tell if she’d waited for that moment to drop that comment, but he was too busy getting his breathing back under control to ponder further. Misty rubbing at his back was appreciated, but he knew it was just her way of parading her current victory in their game.

Spy x Family Episodes 13-15: The Dog Saga

So, these ones were sorta one long saga, so I'll be putting my notes in one long post. These episodes removed any doubt in my mind that this was one of my favorite shows I've ever seen.

Hey, new intro! This is so cute, I love it.

But this one shot gives me thoughts. I have so many questions about her past, and I can't stop wondering.

Yor is so bad at cooking, but at least she tries. She's not great at the traditional motherly stuff, but she's still amazing in her own way.

Those pet shop dogs have more abs than I do. I'm not afraid of getting biten by them, I'd be afraid of getting punched. Jeez.

Well, okay, maybe not. Those teeth look like buzz saws, so I'm definitely still afraid of getting biten, too.

Anya trying to help her Papa with his spy stuff without him knowing she's trying to help is always amazing.

"I'm not sure if I'm changing or if its just the times, but a kid like this being a terrorist is a hard pill to swallow"

That just says so much about how much his family has changed him. He can't see things the way he used to.

This dog looks like a cross between a fluffly dog, a polar bear and an otter, and he has the voice of an elderly human man. I love him already.

And he can see the future. Fun.

WHY DO WE HAVE MORE BACKSTORY ABOUT THE DOG THAN WE DO ABOUT ANYA?

Also, how to you get future vision from trying to science the dogs to be smarter? How does that work? I would understand if it was based on knowledge, but he's predicting Lloyd's death before he ever met him.

Those dogs ARE smart! If you aren't afraid of an angry Yor, then you're dumb. They no better than to mess with her after she turned the last fuy into a living bouncy ball. Human bodies are not supposed to move like that.

Anya just saved the world by drawing on a wall with ketchup. And nobody knows it was her.

Anya is SMART. She knows how to get her way. She knows the agency will ho along with almost anything to keep her happy and keep operation stryx on track. Because she knows about it in the first place, she knows she can make empty threats to derail the mission as a final trump card. We know she wouldn't, she wants to keep her family the way it is. But they don't know what's going on in her 4-year-old brain.

THEY'RE TOO CUTE I JUST CAN'T!

I'm not okay my heart is a puddle on the floor I love them so much-

So, I feel like there HAS to be some big reveal eventually. There's no way that doesn't end up causing problems. And I refuse to believe the whole "just leave the family behind and go to the next mission" plan was ever ACTUALLY on the table, even if he thought it was.

I think it's gonna end with either Lloyd quiting/retiring from the agency, or with the whole family becoming a part of it. Yor is already well suited for most of that stuff, and Anya has proven she can do the whole mission thing... well, as well as a kid her age can. Still, there's no way the family breaks up. No possible way.

And after getting that little bit of backstory from Handler, I think she'd actually be pretty understanding of either option. Looking forward to seeing how everything plays out.

So far, my only real complaint is how little we've seen of Yor. I mean, we see her as a mother, and she's amazing, but her whole assasin thing is just... there? Like, we know she’s doing that in the background, and she’s done a lot of impressive things, but we almost never see her as an assasin. She's the only one really out of the loop with the whole Operation Stryx thing, and with everything focusing on Lloyd and Anya, she doesn't get nearly as much time to shine. I really like her, but it feels like the show has been doing a lot of telling without much showing. It's not like we haven't seen anything, but it would be nice for her to have a little more time to shine.

It was still kind of wild to Genis that Raine had just up and left in the middle of the night. A part of him wondered if there was something specific she'd been looking for when she mentioned in her letter that she was investigating something, but he couldn't think of what. Everything had been happening pretty fast as of late. Had his sister found something she thought was important? What if it was somewhere dangerous? All the questions continued to swirl around in the boy's mind as he and the others went on their trek toward Altamira.

They weren't alone, though. Walking nearby was their newest companion, Mithos, and Genis couldn't have been more grateful for that fact. They'd only known each other for a short time, but Mithos had still wanted to come help look for Raine despite that. He could have simply said that he'd wanted to stay with Altessa and Tabatha, and Genis would have accepted that. But Mithos had asked to come along. Lloyd also had let him.

They still had a ways to go before reaching Altamira, and there hadn't been many monsters to face as of yet. So they had some time. As they walked, Genis quickened his pace a little bit so he was walking beside Mithos.

"Hey, Mithos?" Genis broke up the silence after a moment.

"Thanks for wanting to come help look for Raine. I'm sure she'd appreciate it as much as I do." Either that, or she'd scold them for coming to look for her in the first place. Genis wanted to think his sister would understand in this case, though.

"I hope it isn't too weird to travel with us," he said. "After being alone in Ozette and all..." After a moment, Genis's expression softened. All of what had happened to Ozette was pretty recent still.

"Are you doing okay?"

have you thought about sprites having certain personality traits? a certain way of thinking? if there was no player, for example, what would larry tend to say in the 1st sawyer dialog: "academics are top notch" or "my parents made me go to college"? what would leigh say? and what majors they would probably pick themselves?

Yes! I have a couple things I've come to fondly believe about the player character sprites, lol:

Larry's kind of a scruffy, shy stoner type, and I imagine they'd have a nervous crush on Laila (and she'd find him cutely scruffy/a total project, as appropriate), or on Covington cuz they're so similar. Def either Undeclared or A/V! (Larry and Lana probably have the most fleshed out imaginary personalities in my head, lol)

Leigh is super energetic/bouncy, def the Summer Camp Slasher type. Proooobably gets into pranks with Juno a lot and would love antagonizing Tate (whether crush-related or not). Hex would get a kick out of Leigh ordering him around on account of Leigh's so tiny, lol. Not sure if Leigh would be hella into Hex, though (maybe Sawyer's more their type?)

Lana is on the cheerleading team (Go Murderfuckers! Yes, I'm stealing the fanbase name for Slasher U's official sports team mascot name :V ), total Final Girl material. She'd also probably be a cute couple with Laila too! Lana would totally date Larry if the player sprites could date each other. :D

Lloyd is a total party animal and would probably get along with Juno, but could also have a thing for Tate. Probably an A/V major! If he dated Sawyer/Juno I think the school would explode. From danger.

Lacey is a more sly/femme fatale/Morticia-ey type, and probably owns a snake. Either an A/V or Final Girl major most likely (depending on how witchy/VHSey they're feeling)! I can imagine them dating Sawyer or topping Tate, lol.

No idea if this is an unpopular opinion or not but on tumblr I'm going to assume it is.

I did NOT care about Sora and Arin at all for most of Dragons Rising so far, and still think they're nowhere near as strongly characterized as the original protagonists. I've warmed up more to Arin now after s2 part 2 because they finally did something major with his inferiority complex and it was very well written.

Sora on the other hand... (Spoilers below)

Look, I don't dislike Sora as a character or anything, but calling her the "greatest elemental master of the merged realms" isn't sitting right with me. She only won by default against Nokt, without even knowing rising dragon technique (lucky she only had to fight him AFTER she'd gotten enough powers to counter his shatterspin with!), and probably would've lost to Frak too if he hadn't had a change of heart. The entire tournament was purposefully written so that she'd be the winner; Nya would've beaten Nokt if Blekt hadn't cheated, and Lloyd was disqualified for being injured, not even to speak again of how Zane was taken out like garbage for no reason in the first round, without it even having been rigged like Cole's game was.

Maybe this wouldn't bother me so much if (about to show my age here a bit) Sora wasn't designed to look so obviously appealing to the "new gen" crowd with her pink-haired catgirl thing going on - I mean she looks just like a middle school girl's overly designed fan OC - but the fact that she's also a child genius, and always being told by others how amazing she is - except of course by the people who were completely wrong about her and were just getting in the way of her potential! - and now being celebrated as "the very best" when she mostly got that title by chance... is kinda making her dangerously close to becoming a special snowflake in my book. All of her personal problems are external, she's never the one who has to overcome anything about herself, except of course realizing how special she was all along. Sure she sometimes lacks confidence, but it usually has more to do with her situation than a lack of trust in herself. I enjoy her relationships with Arin and Lloyd, but she herself is not the most interesting character to me, nor was her story in season 1 that compelling.

Laying in the bed I sigh heavily feeling my fingers still on the trigger. Kayce went to morning ride with John. The next few hours Kayce and I sit in the office about something with cattle. Truth is people like us fight for their lands and animals. Kayce and I drove through a man's gate after refusing entry. John sent Jimmy to work as a rodeo guy since he got injured trying to ride a rodeo horse again. He broke his promise to his boss. Beth came back home throwing Carter in the barn aggressively to sleep for the night mumbling curse words.

Entering the house I see Kayce staring up the stairs. Something about his body language says he's hiding something. I hate to say it. Footsteps approach from behind for me to see a messy Bree, my child. "Mommy?" God tell me I ain't dreaming. Tears well in my eyes racing to her. She clings onto me crying. "Where - where were you?" She pulled away face red from crying. "I hid in the bunks underneath the barn." Looking over my shoulder to Kayce I snarled holding her hand tightly in my hand. "You better have a hell of a reason of why you lied to me!' He looked to his boots trailing off. "Tate and Monica won't leave their room. He's living under his bed. Bree was too - until I told her you were okay-"

I slap him harsh across the cheek cursing. "Get Monica the hell away from here...from my daughter. Because if I see her I'll send her to the train station!" He tries to grab my arm but I pick Bree up heading for the door. "Y/n, Tate killed someone. I've tried to say he needs a doctor but she won't listen-" Kicking the front door open I grab a shotgun slinging it over my shoulder. "Of course she won't listen. Kayce all she has done since the day you brought her and Tate to this ranch is complain. Complain that you're father - this family is nothing but evil. I've tried to be nice to her, that's over. I'm done. She's gonna turn your son into a sick kid and I don't want my child apart of her crap!"

Stomping down the stairs I head for the Bunkhouse hoping there's an extra bed for us. Kayce grabs my arm stopping me with tears slipping. "Please just listen to me. Bree is fine, she immediately wanted away from her." Bree clutched my jacket in her hands whimpering. She'd never seen us fight before. "You know why she ran, it's because she's not her mother. I'm her mother, Kayce. Monica is a stranger to her...she'll never protect her. Only I'll protect, care and love Bree Dutton!"

"I'll love her. I do love our daughter - I love you!" He shouts back in my face. Sniffing through tears I remove my engagement ring from him tossing it to the dirt. "Rip was right all along. I should've just acted like we never met, never fell in love, never did anything. You're loyalty is with her - with the Indian reservation. Not with this ranch, not with me, and sure as hell not with the Dutton name." Turning on my heels I stomped away not saying another word to him.

Entering the Bunkhouse Lloyd sees me and gives me a sad look. "You can have the bunk above mine, miss L/n." I nod politely laying Bree down under the covers. "Thank you, Lloyd." Bree yawns drifting off to sleep. "Mommy are you and daddy not getting married anymore?" Wiping away some tears left on my cheeks I kissed her goodnight. "Get some rest baby. We'll talk in the morning." She finally gets some sleep. Lloyd crawls in his bunk below as the others head to bed. Throwing on my jacket and grabbing my gun I head for the barn.

Once inside the closed doors I kick and cursed for a few minutes until Rip's voice broke me. "I'm guessing you found out." Whipping my head his direction he closed the last horse stall. "He's a freaking liar, Rip. I mean how could he do this - after everything. After coming back to play with my heart and seductively making me say yes to marry him. Am I dummy in his eyes?" Slumping into the dirt pressing my back against the wood I let tears slip.

"I'll tell you one thing darlin'. You're not a dummy. Kayce is, for not seeing how awesome you are." Rip sitting beside me now brushing my hair from my face. "You did a hell of a job raising Bree on your own for years. She's better on this ranch then anywhere else and it's all because of her wonderful kick-ass mother." Wiping away tears I sniffed hugging him. At first he's hesitant but hugs back tightly.

We break apart and he raises a brow seeing my face turned to a serious one. "Y/n, what's that look for?" Getting to my feet I hang up my golden pin hat on a hook he gave me years ago, opening the barn door I leave with one final wording glance to him. "I'm gonna go tell John that if Monica isn't off this ranch by morning. I'm taking Bree with me and moving in with my parents."

Will Kayce earn Y/n's love back or will she hate him forever?
