I'm 30 (not quite old), but I remember when I was 18 and looking at 30 years old thinking whoa these people have it all figured out they're so adult. But like... I call my mom because I don't know how to remove stains off my clothes sometimes. I call my dad because I have insurance questions and no one taught me how this shit works. I work a job, make money, rent a place, have a cat, but then I go home and I write fanfiction, or I go roller skating, or read trashy romances, decide to make a chocolate cake and that's all I'll be eating for dinner.

Let me stress how unadult adults are. We're just kids with more life experience.

Growing up doesn't mean you abandon all the fun things, it just means you have some boring paperwork to take care of and if you stop working you're kind of fucked (Yeah it's not great).

I'm an adult doing and adult job, but every day before I go to work I have to put on my "adult" costume and I pretend my way through work.

The whole time, I'm thinking about dead gay wizards and my cat, the next time I'm going to see my best friend and the next show I'm going to watch, whether we should eat tacos or ice cream, and if we should do something stupid on the weekend.

You don't grow up, you just grow old. If you're into fanfic at 13, it's not gonna disappear. You'll just become better at it. AND EVEN IF YOU DON'T, I can't stress how relaxing it is to just do a hobby you like knowing your boss/family isn't going to judge it. (WHICH IS ALSO WHY negative comments aren't welcome. Beside literally all the other reasons we've all read a thousand times, we're just out here playing with our blorblos to relax from being stressed out from the real world. Sometimes we don't need our hobbies to be perfect. We just wanna do the thing, and relax.)

I just saw someone say AO3 is “gay teens writing gay shit” and I have no idea how to tell you that most of the writers you love so much are adults.

every time a new SA allegation of a favored celeb arises, i'm reminded of the absolutely soul-crushing experience of the depp/heard trial in which i learned that dozens of ppl i loved + respected + trusted were also willing to engage in the basest form of misogyny if the woman Seemed Crazy Enough. there was a horrifying 2ish weeks on this website + much longer irl where i genuinely felt unsafe voicing my discomfort as i relived something eerily reminiscent of the aftermath of my own assaults playing out on screen, commented on by true crime youtubers like it was a red sox game.

it happens time + time again with every new allegation + it's truly the most agonizing + exhausting part of being a survivor. i am begging you all to consider that survivors are watching you engage with this stuff like theater + it erodes our trust in all of you + compounds our grief.

AuDHD is so funny sometimes like what do you mean my hyperfixations/special interests will last for years on end or possibly forever but they will cycle out every month or two with absolutely no transitional period or warning. like i will think about the same topic every day obsessively for 46 days in a row and on the 47th day with no visible cause adhd brain goes "ok! bored of that now" and autism brain goes "dw i got something queued up for ya" and i blast into full blown obsession on some other topic whose mental file folders haven't opened in 9 months. brain's out here treating hyperfixations like a crop rotation. once the dopamine runs out it cycles in another one but once something's in the rotation it never ever leaves. last summer we brought in one from when i was 11. it's so funny to me but frustrating too bc like. i cannot stress enough my inability to predict or control this. or how completely abrupt and random it can be

This was pretty much my first thought when Amy showed up. I know it probably won't happen but wow it sure is convenient that the game Amy debuted in was the one with the magic rocks that control spacetime...

(I also just like the idea that Stone is significantly more effective than Robotnik and when sufficiently motivated to work against Sonic and gang, he just... wins. Good thing for them then that he wasn't particularly interested in those time powers beyond using them for a Resurreggtion)

My thought process here was that this was only possible because Stone had the exact time and position of Eggman's death down to the millisecond thanks to the livestream, and he wouldn't have been able to do this without that information. So no bringing back Maria, sorry Shadow 😔
