Thinking about them makes me so sad because Rhaenyra just wants to fix things with her daughter but Reader, after the wedding with Daemon and hearing the rumors about Laenor's death, doesn't trust her anymore, she doesn't see her mother as her protector anymore 😭😭

Rhaenyra knows that she lost you before the war. She didn't lose you to Aemond or the greens. She alone ruined everything. She lost you the day she married Daemon. She could never forget her wedding day, she wished it was because on that day she had finally been able to join her uncle but no, what she remembered most from that day was not happiness but the clenching in her stomach at the look of hate in your eyes. Pure hate. She never seen that fire in your eyes before. A girl shouldn't look at her mother like that.

I never clarified before what was happening with Baela because I confess that I wasn't sure what to do with her. But I always thought that at the beginning of the series Baela is locked up as a prisoner (not in the black cells but in a room), let's be honest I think nobody imagines Baela accepting Aegon as king so it's a danger for them to have her free, but Egg is going to visit her. I feel that Baela, like her father, sees Reader as a traitor so Reader probably only went to visit her a few times because they always ended up arguing 💔

About Rhaena she is still with Jeyne Arryn but she is already on her way to King's Landing to kneel to Reader. When they meet they will talk about the conditions to release Baela. I honestly feel that her reunion is going to be bittersweet because I see Rhaena and The Queen being close before the war and now they are reunited with much of her dead family and Baela being a prisoner 😭😭

after months of dating Jihoon and never getting to spend a single night together, you decided to treat yourselves to a night at a hotel.

when you walk into the hotel room, you find Jihoon already on the bed, marvelling at the room.

"finally, a night with just the two of us together in our own space. y/n! i'm so happyyyyy," he says to himself, kicking his feet around and giggling.

you suddenly feel a wave of emotion, wanting to run up to him and smother him with your love.

you walk up to him and push Jihoon down onto the bed. he laughs, feeling his heart race in his chest. a blush creeps up on his cheeks and his pretty teeth show as he smiles. carefully, you smooth the hair out of his eyes and he leans into your touch.

"w-what are you up to, y/n?" he stutters.

"kisses," you mumble, placing your legs on either side of him and hovering above him as he lays on his back.

you lean in forwards, pressing hard kisses to his forehead, cheeks, the tip of his nose, his lips, his collarbone. each time, your lips make a loud, smacking sound and the boy beneath you giggles.

you and Jihoon had purposely gotten a hotel by the water so that you could get some beach time in, so there's no way you'd skip this.

the two of you exit the hotel hand-in-hand and start running to the beach just across the street. the sand hitting your toes makes you squeal and Jihoon laughs, squeezing your hand as you draw closer to the water. you already know Jihoon will tease the hell out of you and nearly push you in, so instead, you run up behind him and push him in first.

Jihoon stumbles in the sand and falls into the water, laughing as he pulls his hair out of his eyes.

"i can't be having this much fun alone, y/n," he says in a deep voice, getting up and walking over to you. he wraps his cool, wet arms around your warm ones and pulls you closer with a smirk. he kisses your nose before throwing you into the water with him, yet making sure he's behind you so he ends up getting wet and you simply fall on top of him.

you slap his chest lightly and whine, telling him to never do that again even though the way his strong arms caught you made you feel butterflies. he kisses your face, now salty from the water and smiles up at you from below. the way the water droplets on your skin and hair reflect the sun's light makes you seem like a mystical sea creature, and Jihoon admired you with a grin until you shyly tell him to stop staring.

"i can stare at the love of my life all i want, thanks," Jihoon says, brushing the hair out of your eyes.

you take hold of his strong forearms, wrapped around your waist, as you lean in to kiss your pretty boyfriend's forehead. he shuts his eyes and enjoys the feeling of your warmth, the sound of the sea and the gentle breeze that makes him shiver.

A/N: I was super tired when I wrote this and there was a lot of noise around me which I didn't have a chance to escape so this isn't as good as I planned, but I tried to fix it here and there, hopefully it isn't as crap as I see it. XD And fyi for everyone who isn't aware of it by now, I'm in love with this man and I'm so happy that he gets love too, honestly I was so afraid The Darkling would end up being DBH Connor of Shadow and Bone = 99% of my Shadow and Bone requests would be for him and I'm not really fond of him, or actually I very much dislike him. :D He's still the most popular character in the fandom (judging by how many x reader fics he gets in a day + their notes) but I'm glad I have only gotten one so far (and another where he's an important side character but it's gonna be a Kaz x reader too). But yeah I'm so happyyyyy I can finally be crazy about someone FRESH who a lot of other people like too, doesn't happen often. Actually I'm not sure if it has ever happened??? I usually come to fandoms late and when most characters are long forgotten and I'm crazy about them alone. Also when I love a character, their pieces automatically become a lot longer and I also write them a lot quicker. Tbh makes me wanna take only Kaz requests in for a while XD Also I had a different, fluffier idea at the start of this but it didn't work out. But I hope you like it!!

Tried to think of a name so I would have published this as a proper oneshot but didn't come up with anything so this passes as a drabble for this one time, sorry to those who don't like longer pieces. But I swear this was supposed to be like 700-800? words, but it was with my previous idea.

Sometimes you couldn't believe how you had feelings towards this man, Kaz Brekker, sitting in front of you, looking like he didn't even listen to you. You knew he did, but he just didn't care.

He was being so stubborn, so emotionless about your proposition to help some homeless people, get them food and maybe some clothes.

“We are not a charity, Y/N.” Kaz sighed.

“They are homeless, Kaz. I was homeless when you took me in, why are these people any different?”

He just continued writing, not bothering to look up. “You were someone worth taking in. But I won’t invest in anything which doesn’t bring me any profit.”

He seemed to be in a bad mood anyway, pouring it on your proposition, but his words still were like knives through your chest. Investing. Money. Money seemed to be all he cared about, especially when he was in a bad mood. You knew he cared about his Crows, even if he had denied it, but on days like these he escaped his negative feelings to work, to make profit.

“Could you try stopping thinking like a machine and listen with your heart?” you snapped, frustrated how he failed to see the picture around everything which wasn’t about money. No matter who got hurt in the process, if they got profit, it was worth it. “Or have you finally lost it?”

Kaz finally looked up at you, placing his quill beside the paper. “I don’t have time for rescuing people who won’t be able to work for me. And that’s final, you can leave now.”

“So, you have lost your heart.” you scoffed, turning on your heels, marching out from the office and closing the door a bit too roughly.

Inej immediately picked up your distressed form as you sat beside her at the bar counter, putting her hand on your arm. “Hey, are you alright?”

You took in a shaky breath, not wanting to talk about it at first, but you ended up opening up anyway. “Kaz. He only thinks about money, he won't listen when I try to... when I'm proposing that we could use our resources to help some people who need it, without getting anything in return. For once, show a little bit of empathy. And things like this are why I've tried to push my feelings towards him away.” you let out a choked sob. “He’s cold and emotionless, seems to have forgot his skill to feel empathy, but...I know there’s more than just money in his life, he just doesn’t want to show it. I don’t know why, but I just know there is something more. I know it’s stupid-”

“It isn’t stupid, Y/N.” Inej interrupted you, weighing her next words for a few seconds. “And Kaz… I know, he’s not good at emotions.”

You scoffed as you tried to swallow that irritating lump in your throat. “Yeah, I've noticed.”

Inej glanced at Kaz’s office door, knowing perfectly wll why Kaz was always colder than usual with you. Inej knew that Kaz cared about you, more than he usually cared about people. She knew Kaz even had at least slight feelings for you, but he was scared of them too, so that’s why he had decided to drive you away, to suffocate those feelings. He probably didn’t want to risk it, possibly break your heart even if you ended up together. Kaz hadn’t said anything about it, of course, but Inej had seen that look on Kaz’s face when he looked at you, when he thought that nobody would notice. His usually cold and emotionless face had a stripe of affection, and Kaz never answered when Inej asked about it. He knew Inej would immediately catch it if he lied. He knew he was feeling things despite all the suffocating, but it was better to keep quiet so he wouldn’t have to finally admit it to himself either.

Inej stood by the doorframe of Kaz’s office, watching him work for a while before speaking. “Kaz, you’re driving them away if you treat them like that. I know you don’t want that.”

“Y/N can be replaced if needed, just like everyone else.” he slowly stated, but Inej knew Kaz too well, she knew he was lying.

“I know you don’t mean that.” she sighed and Kaz didn’t answer anything. “If you want Y/N to stay, if you don’t want them to think that you’re turning into some heartless monster who only cares about money, you’d better change your ways with treating them."

"Inej-"

"No, listen. Y/N won’t last much longer. They care about you too, but you’re breaking their heart, ripping it apart piece by piece. They love you, but they wish they didn't, and I can see why. I know you aren't good at emotions, but you aren't this cold with others. Y/N doesn't know what's wrong and they're beating themselves over it. You don't have to show affection, but at least treat them fairly.”

And with that, Inej left Kaz to his work, but he had stopped writing, Inej’s words echoing in his head. Inej always knew the right words to make Kaz think, as much as he had tried to push his feelings to the side. He didn’t want to let you in, too afraid you’d get scared when he’d open the doors. Too afraid you’d never be able to look him in the eye when you’d get to know about his demons, about everything that had happened to him, why he was so cold and why he was afraid of feelings. He was afraid to reach out to you, start treating you again like he did before developing those feelings, because he didn't want to admit it to himself. Even when he already had admitted them in a way.

"I've tried to forbid myself from falling in love, but now I can’t help it." he muttered to himself, briefly imagining saying it to you. But he couldn't imagine it any further than that. He'd break your heart eventually, drive you off anyway. It was better to keep your relationship purely professional - even if you both had feelings for each other.

But... maybe someday he’d be able to let you little closer, maybe someday he could let you help him get over his trauma. He knew that you could help him with it, given a bit of time, but only if you wanted to, only if it wasn’t too much for you. But he had a tiniest bit of hope that it was possible. Maybe someday he could touch you, caress your cheek and forget about the rest of the world. Show you how much you really meant to him. But it would take time. He cared about you, more than he ever could have imagined when he first encountered you there on the street - and now you were quickly making your way to his heart, even when he had tried to stop it.

Maybe someday he could finally accept his feelings towards you. Maybe someday he could hold you without wanting to let go immediately.

Maybe someday he could proudly say you were his.

so neil, being the good and sweet angel (not) that he is

goes to pick up kevin

and like he finds him on a coach almost catatonic just rambling to himself

so neil picks him up and drags him away to his car

and ofc all the upperclassmen r trying to help

so while neil is putting kevin into his car kev randomly just stops talking

(which is weird cause he's kept rambling this entire time)

and he looks neil in the eyes and goes

'i love you neil'

and neil just like takes a second

pAuSeS

because he's not used to people showing him love even tho so many ppl rlly do love him (this boy is2g-)

and then quietly says

'love you too kev'

and finishes buckling him up

all the upperclassmen have been watching this going on the entire time and they read into in the exact wrong way

(they're trying their best, my baby dumbasses, but they're just wrong)

and think this is a romantic love confession between frenimies *instead* of the declaration of mutual respect and affection between 2 bro's that it is

matt is the first one to voice this after kev and neil leave and he is

PUMPED

he is super excited that his bro has found someone to love just like he found dan and is super excited to like talk abt love and go on double dates n stuff

and every one else agrees

which is why they're all super disappointed that by the time a week goes by, nothing has changed between them

so dan matt and allison decide to do something about it (renee+seth ducking out because'it's rude to meddle' and 'why tf would i care abt jostens love bullshit')

they try to set up kevin and neil a bunch of different time s

once with the offer of a study session that they all say they can't make it to, leaving neil and kevin alone

another time with the offer of kevin and neil going to the movies w/ matt and dan

(neil ends up busy w/ a skype date with andrew that he can't pass up cause they're always so busy and he has to see his boyf so kevin just ends up 3rd wheeling matt and dan)

and once with allison straight up just telling neil that he and kevin should get coffee some time

which neil respond to with

'we already get coffee together?'

so dan matt and alli are stumped

they don't know what to do with these 'lovesick' idiots

they're problem gets solved tho don't you worry

so the next weekend, andrew is gonna come over to psu and stay for like a week

neil is oVER THE MOON

HE IS SOO HAPPYYYYY

And kevin is really happy too

so the upperclassmen take this to mean that these boys have finally gotten the hint and asked each other out

so imagine they're suprise when the next time the group goes to get lunch (which they do with each other every wednesday )

a super short blond emo joins them

and no one really acknowledges it?!?!?!?!?!?

until renee is just like 'hello andrew, how are you?' knowing smile on her face

and the upperclassmen are just like 'oh it's the famous andrew, that makes sense' but then they're like 'wait how does renee know andrew?!?!'

they ask and renee is just like 'neil gave me his discord. he thought we'd get along well'

-and then they're just like okayyy renee totally has a crush but well let it slideee

uNTIL

at the end of lunch neil is just like 'oh wait i never properly introduced him-' -cause you're a mess, junkie' -fuck off andrew' then just turns to the upperclassmen and says

'guys this is my boyfriend andrew'

and the foxes just silently freak out

because neil is in love with kevin? it's so clear? why did neil go and get a boyf when he has his love right in front of him??????

so after lunch, matt dan and alli ask to talk to neil privately

(andrew, kev,and renee all talk together while seth like, looks at his phone)

and they're like 'neil why'd you get a boyf??'

and neils like 'wdym?'

and alli says 'why'd you get a boyf if your so obviously in love w/ kevin?!'

and neil just LAUGHS at them

straight up cackles

and then the upperclassmen are like whaaaaattttt????

we saw your declaration of love at the party??

and you're both really close and seem to genuinely like and be interested in each other??

what gives????

and neils like

'me n kev are besties

that was a platonic declaration of love

also

i'm demi and me and drew have been together for like 3 years now'

and the upperclassmen are just like 'ooooooooooooooooohhhhhh sorryyyyyyyyy'

it's the first time alli has ever lost a bet (it was w/ seth abt neils feelings for kevin)

neil tells andrew abt it and the shortie just snorts and is like 'kevin would fuck a racket quicker than he'd fuck you'

neil is like 'i'm basically exy personified tho, soooooo'

drew tells him to shut up

(he does when andrew asks yes or no, just nods his head and smiles)

renee knew all along and is happy for her friends

kevin just wants to play exy he's been deprived the entire post

So yeah that's the entire headcanon. I was about to be mad at the ending of SL but now I'm happyyyyy because sequel!

I think I need to make the little announcement at the end of the final chapter bigger - a few readers have mentioned not seeing it and I’ve had at least two angry IMs wanting to know how I could do this to them and one demanding directions to my house for probable nefarious purposes lol

PSA:  Sgaile Leannan didn’t end.  Well, it did, I guess...but the sequel starts next week, so please, wait till after chapter 1 to issue threats (it will be much more appropriate at that point, and as much as I enjoy them, I generally prefer to deserve them ;)
