Heh...yeah, no 🤣 My boys still go by Big and Little, though Little has finally grown into those monster feet he's had since birth and is getting tall. His looks have changed too, he and his brother are both gonna end up being heartbreakers. Can't believe they're 12 and 18 now, Big graduated! He's working on getting his driver's license and is job hunting before he starts thinking about college classes, though I keep trying to discourage him from rushing into adulthood. Fortunately for me his autism will always keep him nearby and I won't have to let him go completely 🥰

Stoner Bitch and Customer Service Cowboy are something entirely different 😁 One's an engineer and the other is an artist so I ended up with the best of both worlds - thank you Ex Husband, you finally did something good when you made me homeless and forced me to finally take a stand against your narcissistic sociopathic abusive self. Sitting in front of that lawyer and watching him put his finger in your face and tell you to shut the eff up was one of the single most empowering and simultaneously enlightening moments of my life. I smelled freedom for the first time that day 😊 And now I'm snarfing it down in big sloppy gulps like the starving goblin I was.

So...yeah

Walk those streets you lovely thing, get those voters off they arses. We can't go through another shit show like before, not even for the entertainment value 🍊

I am well. Thank you for checking in! Not on here as much as I’d like to be lately because it’s an election year and I am a VP of my Democratic club, a Precinct Chair for my voting district, a Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar, and have League of Womens Voters responsibilities. And, I have a daughter going off to college this week. 😭 So… been a bit busy.

I still occasionally hear from @lokilickedme but she also has a lot going on. I don’t think she will be back to write, but I could be wrong. 🤷🏻‍♀️ All is good with her. LOTS of changes in her life, all for the better. She is in a happy place, and I am happy for her. 🥰

I miss her writing, too. (Sigh)

I got to meet the Bog Man

Bunbun!! Soo good to see you!! You lucky thing, would you believe I STILL haven't seen him live? Ex was going to take me to a show early in the tour but then we got divorced so no dice, then Stoner Bitch was gonna take me to a show later in the tour but there was a death in his family and he was in Wyoming that week so no go again. One day, I stg, I'm gonna make it to a Hoz concert even if I have to fly to Texas and go with @texmexdarling (who goes ALL.THE.DAMN.TIME)

Check your texts @texmexdarling, I sent you a pic of my Customer Service Cowboy and will send you a new one of the Stoner Bitch later, I'm on my way out the door in a minute to the yearly Hallow rave and won't be coherent again until some time Sunday :D But I opened AO3 last night for the first time in at least a year and found some things I'd forgotten about, so...given my recent urge to write again, I'm sure it won't be long before I figure out how to squeeze in a few minutes for the cause. Stoner Bitch has my work computer at the moment (battery blew up, literally) and all my old drafts are in it, but he's assuring me he'll have it fixed on Monday.

Customer Service Cowboy (P, we'll call him P) just got back from a week long trip to the Grand Canyon - he's a working artist, he travels and paints - so this week might actually be a bit cramped as far as jumpstarting my little literary comeback. We'll see what happens ;)

I'm doing great over here, nary a spare minute but I want so bad to start posting from time to time and maybe doing a little writing again soon. Around this time every year I start getting that itch and I think this year's the one. I'm settled, got my affairs (literal and figurative) in order, life's good and the snows are coming. Mama's got some stories to finish and maybe some new ones to start :) My guys have been encouraging and urging me to start up again, so...we shall see. It feels right. I promised them both they could be in the Carmichael sequel so you can look forward to meeting the men in my life soonish.

I'll be around...I'm super busy these days but I'm going to make an effort to carve out some online time soon. I'm sort of a boss lady at my place of employment and am juggling part-time kids and full-time partners and weekends jammed with tribe events and as Calvin and Hobbes would say, the days are just packed. And the nights, but you don't wanna hear about that :D

It's Stoner Bitch's birthday today so I'm headed out to dinner with him and the gang. Just wanted to drop by real quick and wave hello on my way back out the door. Hope everybody's doing well - love you guys, think of you often <3 <3

I'm so ready for Bootleg Christmas #4. My Stoner Bitch and I are doing a tree at his house this year but first we're doing a proper Halloween, which I've never gotten to do before. He's an October baby so it's his favorite holiday and I'm sort of inordinately excited about it. I bought this the other day and put it on his computer desk -

and it made him so happy that I'm now on a quest to find an entire tribe of them. Never knew zen skeletons existed but these days I seem to be learning something new every day 😉

i just saw a video on tiktok of someone complaining about fanfic writers who have the ✨audacity✨ not to complete a fic. that it’s rude, it’s inconsiderate, it’s disrespectful of the readers emotional investment. and then a whole bunch of commenters saying underneath that this is why they won’t read incomplete fics, that they’ve seen authors go from updating every week to horror of horrors only every month. and because i am a wise and mature individual i’m not going to stitch the video dragging them to hell but instead i’m coming here to you beloved tumblr dot com to bitch behind their back

because i know we’ve said this before but the emerging culture of fanfic writers as content creators and readers as consumers is fucking disgusting. it breeds attitudes exactly like this and turns something that is fundamentally anti-capitalist into another cycle of produce compete exploit where your worth is based on how quickly you can meet consumers needs

it’s called archive of our own for a reason. its about repurposing these stories for ourselves, for our own enjoyment and interest whether thats i want to right the wrongs of this author or i want to see what happens if this one tiny plot point changed or i want to make these characters tie each other up and fuck until they cry. its about sharing as a community, leaving these stories in a communal toy box so people who come along in a few months or few years can enjoy them too

tl;dr keep your fucking capitalist little mittens away from our stories
