MASTER LIST OF INSTRUMENTAL PLAYLISTS FOR WRITING (OR FOR STUDYING, MAKING ART, ETC.)
I find that the perfect writing playlist can GREATLY enhance the writing experience. Even if it doesn't make your writing "better" (which it can, since it helps writers with visualization, tone, and mood), it can definitely make your writing flow easier!
Personally, words distract me when I'm writing, either by breaking my train of thought or by getting me too into the music so that I'm jamming out to my favorite tunes instead of writing.
Therefore, I've amassed a vast knowledge of instrumental music across a variety of media over a course of many years. Now here I am, deciding to share all of them with you!
Maddy’s Favorite Instrumental Songs
Just like the title says. All of the best pieces of instrumental music I've ever heard, compiled together with no regard for genre. It can be a bit of a whiplash playlist, but some amazing recs in there that I just like listening to in my free time, not just for writing.
Maddy’s Ultimate Instrumental Playlist
A mega compilation of 550+ fantastic instrumental music from a variety of media and genres. Kind of a whiplash playlist if you put it on shuffle, but is a great start for anyone looking to find what kind of instrumental music they like! Playlist Groupings in Order: Independent instrumental songs, live action movies, animated movies, animated tv shows, live action tv shows, video games.
Maddy's Instrumental for Sleep
Some more chill vibe instrumental for people who either A) want to sleep or B) want a relaxed playlist that won't distract you with loud volume and sudden changes in tempo or melody.
MISC PLAYLISTS:
you're a haggard adventurer discovering worlds beyond your wildest dreams
Music to inspire wonder and wanderlust, the kind of feeling you get when you finally reach the end of a mountain hike and see the world stretching out before you.
you're a hero who's just lost everything
Basically the most sad instrumental music I could find. A playlist for grief and revenge.
more beneath the cut :)
you're a cowboy in the great American West
Cowboy instrumental for all of your ambient and writing needs. Or if you just really want to feel like a cowboy.
you're a divine witness
Epic choir music (no English). Most religious, some not, but all kind of have that eerie sacred vibe. I listen to this while writing my book about angels and demons.
you’re a scholar uncovering the secrets of the universe
Great chill study playlist! Has the kind of same exploratory/discovery type feel as the haggard adventurer playlist, but more dark academia.
you’re a villain plotting to take over the world
Villain-coded instrumental! Sinister, dark, and/or unsettling.
you're an academic weapon
HIGH BPM STUDY PLAYLIST! Keeps me focused, hyped, and helps me work faster!
you're an ancient god
Playlist that gives an ancient/eerie vibe. But some ancient gods are merciful- so there are some upbeat songs for wonder and awe!
you're falling in love
Music that encapsulates what I think falling in love feels like. Very beautiful, tender, and uplifting instrumental.
you're fighting the final battle
Intense and epic battle music for all of your fight-scene-writing needs! Good for getting shit done, but isn't necessarily restricted to high BPM like the academic weapon playlist.
you're having a tea party
Refined instrumental for a tea party, including classical, big band, and some miscellaneous goodies.
you're in a chase scene
Music for writing chase scenes. Pretty good hype music, too. Includes soundtracks from classic chase scenes in popular media!
you're in the medieval times
Medieval-sounding music for all of your ambient and/or writing needs.
you’re in your childhood room. the door is open a crack. people talk softly downstairs.
A playlist dedicated to nostalgia, to the feeling of lying in bed with your nightlight on after being too tired to stay awake at your family get-together. Could either make your day or break your heart lmao
you're the happiest you've ever been
Lighthearted instrumental meant to lift your spirits! A playlist dedicated to the joys of the little things.

tuesday again 4/2/2024
in which i try to clean two different boxes with varying success
new people: hello! the tuesdaypost is a weekly roundup of stuff i've been listening, reading, watching, playing, and making. it is NOT a recommendation series, although i sometimes dabble in critique. when im firing on all cylinders i ask "what is the core concept of this? does it succeed in what i think it's trying to do and what it says it's doing?is it well-made but i dislike it/beautiful but not for me? why? what parts Really Work?"
if you are into purity culture, yelling at other people about the problematic media they consume, or are under 18 i am going to have very little patience for you.
listening
now that i live in houston i am legally obliged to loop the new beyonce album 24/7. there is absolutely truly nobody fucking doing it like her. every song is a multimedia art piece. goddamn do i miss the album as a tool to convey a specific concept/listening order/flow. sometimes (chappell roan most recently comes to mind, although it does feel unfair to compare anyone to beyonce) every individual song is pretty good but the listening experience if you sit down and listen all the way through the album is unpleasant and choppy. not so here. NEVER here.
my favorite like Dance Number is YA YA (it samples nancy sinatra's boots! and the beach boys' good vibrations! wildly different tones despite coming out a year apart!)
youtube
the one that goes on four different character/tone playlists is BODYGUARD.
youtube
great early roundup of influences, samples, and collaborators. delighted to see five fingers for marseilles listed, a rocky but underrated south african neo-western free on tubi rn for americans

reading
also very texas-relevant with the recent pornhub lawsuits! pornhub and sex tech (among other things) have been samantha cole's beat for almost ten years. i trust her to report sensitively and not for like. shock clicks
this site has a free paywall (sign up with your email for a link to the full article) so bots have a harder time scraping articles: this is a journalist-founded site with only the four founders running it and writing articles. while annoying i do think this is a reasonable measure
The platform still has problems, but after years of critical reporting and a litany of legal and reputational consequences, Pornhub is now more heavily moderated than any other porn platform, and most major social media platforms, for that matter. A growing list of age verification laws has put Pornhub in a position where it is compelled to block access to its site in seven states and counting. In theory, these laws are designed to prevent children from being able to access pornography online. In reality, what is going to happen is that children are going to end up on pornographic sites that don’t care what the law says, and where some of the most harmful content that exists online is actively promoted to them.
she's also got a new limited series podcast with CBC about the rise and fall of pornhub, which was fascinating and kept me company during an extremely early morning drive

watching
i'm lukewarm about this one but i spend a lot of time getting there, much like this movie
ive been watching a lot of frankly dogshit thrillers, which has made me wonder: what's the deal with supervillans? where did they come from? and thence arrived at the prototypical film Dr Mabuse the Gambler (1922, dir. Lang). the four and a half hour cut on Kanopy is two normal-length movies superglued together, which makes sense as a streaming product but it is sort of a terrifying runtime and took me three days to get through.
sometimes, as we know, i get a real bee in my bonnet about visiting the early versions of things. dr mabuse is the blueprint for every james bond and mission impossible villain, or really any shadowy supervillain with power over [INDUSTRY] or [THE MARKET]. it is a four and a half hour long cat and mouse game through lavish, eccentric sets between mabuse and prosecutor wenk. it has some trouble sustaining itself bc it is four and a half hours long but does deliver on the cat and mouse aspects. this letterboxed review has interesting things to say about the political climate of 1922 germany and how lang subverts the formula of the pulp serial.
really the film opens with mabuse yelling at his cocaine-addicted assistant, but the film properly gets going with mabuse's henchmen stealing a trade agreement (nothing really carbon dates a movie more than a missing trade agreement. vanishingly few post-early-30s movies have missing trade agreements as plot points) and then he crashes the stock market. for fun and profit.
however. i think every time you see an evil man who is a banker or stockbroker or generally uses money as power you have to interrogate whether it's antisemitic. the answer here is "maybe" but i'm not sure if intent matters when contemporary nazi critics were eager to hold mabuse up as "this is the typical jewish criminal". (sorry about the link directly to wikipedia, it's been touch finding online sources for this section). mabuse is not specifically jewish, but there are certainly elements of stereotype. i am still not good at being presented with "this movie has a shadowy behind the scenes figure manipulating the government and all the money ever" and going "hey wait a minute".
after that tremendous glaring caveat, for which i read more contemporary reviews and reviews in general than i ever read for movies in these posts, is it good? eh. a contemporary VARIETY review remarked (and i largely agree)
The direction of Fritz Lang has moments – but Lang somewhat negates his good technical effects by twenty forty-word captions of a ludicrous unconciseness.
the night scenes are particularly well done, and imo are better than many modern night scenes--other contemporary reviews remarked
In this film the techniques of the film camera (Carl Hoffmann’s brilliant photography) are brought to perfection. The problem of how to film lit-up streets at night has been solved for the first time. It is unbelievably impressive to see the glaring lights of speeding cars flash through the night or the rapid passing of an elevated train of the initially blurred, then gradually focussed glimpse through a pair of opera glasses on to the variety stage, the nuances of light and shade—these things alone prove the value of film documentary.
look at this shit! filmed from within the cars! in 1922!!!
youtube
this film asks you to believe hypnotism is real and really effective, so i don't think it's that big of a leap when it asks you to believe in ghosts. i don't understand that quibble from contemporary viewers. there are several on screen suicides with like. specific methods. which is not currently regarded as good filmmaking practice. im curious to know what contemporary audiences thought but couldn't immediately turn anything up, and wading through masters’ theses on cinematic suicide is a little beyond my current mental health.
if i were a more content-minded woman this would turn into a clickbait video essay about the antisemitic origins of every supervillan. however i am unqualified and untalented at video editing and i'm sure there are forty theses on this already. this movie is a hard sell to anyone jewish or employed. it is also a stunning example of cutting-edge film technology and part of the genesis of the modern supervillan. Fritz Lang films tend to fall in the category of “movies i am happy to see once and feel no need to revisit”.

playing
playing what is effectively the same game three times back to back (breath of the wild, tears of the kingdom, genshin impact) has sort of burned me out on open world games with a focus on battle skill progression and stumbling across little puzzles in the overworld. i have to get itch.io up and running on this pc and find the most linear jankiest possible one-sitting indie thing. or several of them. i might try the solo ttrpg Gentleman Bandit i seem to have acquired in one of the giant charity bundles
brief breath of the wild update bc i don't want to pull screenshots off my switch: i have gotten to the boss fight for the gerudo and goron regions, have not completed them bc my focus in this game is NOT hearts, and am in the middle of the zora temple. despite the quality of life improvements and new regions in totk i think i prefer botw: progression is a bit easier, there are fewer mmo-style hub quests and repeatable quests. things like the stable photos are cute but very repetitive, so are the sign bracing puzzles, and the sky crystal quests for sky shrines feel VERY samey. also dislike how the CLEAR OUT: [REGION] quests with the monster suppression squads reset at the blood moon.
anyway! to genshin! there was an exceptionally fun little event with a surprisingly involved management sim tacked onto the game??? you make and sell potions fulfilling different requirements, and can eventually stock travelling merchants all over the continent. the actual act of making the potions was this block-filling 1010! style thing (screenshot from polygon)
the new region, a port town and tea-growing area called Chenyu Vale, is maybe the prettiest one in the game so far? it's the one that feels the most picturesque and Designed, like this is one huge mansion garden studded with follies. they also added background chatter and noise in the cities and towns, which really startled me and makes them feels much more lived in! this is a fun trick to avoid putting in a thousand NPCs and making everyone's framerate crash. the less stuff in your game, the less shit can go wrong.
also pulled for and got chiyori, a geo-aligned seamstress (and sometime spy???) swordswoman who has what i can only call domme voice

making
ok now we'll talk about boxes. i was rearranging my kitchen, as unemployed women are known to do, and noticed this recipe box i picked up back in mass was disgusting. the finish is starting to fail but it was genuinely grody and last summer i packed my kitchen in a blind panic inside an hour and did not have time to address it. i have never seen a recipe box at an estate sale before or since and it made me desperately sad.
it was full of a lot of stuff.
i went at it with a somewhat inadvisable combination of things: wood soap didn't budge it, so i dampened a paper towel in vinegar and wiped it down in the vain hope it would do something. the thing that worked, and would be inadvisable for anything veneered or less densely textured, was baking soda paste and the scrubby side of a sponge. it still smells Very musty even after 48h of loose baking soda inside with several changes, but that might be partly the recipe cards' fault. i would like to refinish this at some point but i don't have polyurethane on hand and the fun little project budget is empty until further notice/i get a job.
the hinge did rust a bit despite my best efforts but that has since been lightly steel wooled and oiled. a well loved object! it's possible the lady who died just fucking sucked and that's why literally her entire estate including many other things families usually keep was on sale, but i would like to think perhaps she simply had no other family? a well loved/used object even if all the recipes are for semi-horrifying fifties new england recipes.
the other box, pre-acids but post-washing: this topp trading card box with seven episode one packets of cards was intact with the original seal. i have verified it was not worth much more than the $5 i paid for it with the trading card obsessed man in my best friend's husband's friendgroup. i bought this three months ago but the man was unavailable to open it until uhhh last week. some sort of liquid got inside it at some point and it was super corroded. i was going to store embroidery floss in here but even with all my powers (barkeepers friend. brasso.) i cannot completely remove the corrosion. it's not corroded Through but it looks bad and feels rough. so it goes. it'll probably hold the tiedown straps in my car bc that plastic bucket is rapidly failing
#aaaaaaand we're back baybee!!!#tuesday again#tuesday again no problem#uncharacteristically nervous about this one since there are so many new people haha

Playlist for my Aeor longfic
I failed to figure out how to do a fancy spotify embed like the kids do but uh. Here's the playlist for Gravity!
I listened to this while planning and writing, and there are even a few shout-outs to the songs in the fic... Songs are arranged chronologically, so you should be able to hear the story happening, hopefully :'D
Further yelling about song choices under the cut!
A Matter of Time - This one is... sort of the fic's opening titles in my head? I wanted to start out with an instrumental, to capture the vibes of the months before the fic opens - Essek and Caleb apart, thinking about the T-Dock, and each other. Wondering. Waiting.
Horse to Water - Essek in Chapter 1, knowing his life as the Shadowhand is ending, waiting for Caleb to come and take him away to whatever comes next. (I'm normally very picky about not putting songs that reference modern day stuff on fantasy playlists but this one's vibes were too perfect)
Dear Fellow Traveller - Two wizards heading into Aeor together.
Conquest of Spaces - A song for Aeor. A dark, beautiful city, the remains of a people who lived by greed and power. (And two wizards in the ruins, trying to draw closer to each other.)
Neptune - This is mostly for Essek's breakdown in chapter 5, as he worries he'll never break out of his Shadowhand manipulation, wanting to be closer to Caleb and not knowing what that would even look like. And it's a little for Caleb in chapter 6, too, grappling with his feelings for Essek and his fears that they'll ultimately be bad for each other.
Please Don't Say You Love Me - ... and as they move past those fears, this song is for them tentatively acknowledging what they might be to each other. Not yet. But maybe soon.
Woodwork - This is for the chapters 6-9 span, as they learn more about Brashaar's plan. The pressure of a crisis has an odd way of making them realise just how deep their trust and care for each other runs.
Two Evils - Since we're at the point where Brashaar shows up, she gets a song now! This is pretty much her internal monologue during her confrontation with the wizards (though she really should have paid attention to 'if you're not careful, you will lose her' in reference to Quaera...)
Winter - Travelling northward, and yearning. Wishing they had more time.
Mind - A song for a young Quaera, slowly forming a personality, wondering about who she is and how her identity forms...
The Tower - ... and having their own breakdown.
What Could Have Been - I love me a good villainous breakdown, and this is a song for Brashaar's. This is how I imagine she feels during the final confrontation, raging against the gods, against Caleb and Essek, against Quaera after they turn from her. Not quite able to let go of what she thinks Aeor could have been. What, in her eyes, the world is meant to be. (As a bonus, I think the second verse sounds a bit like a retort to her from Quaera...)
Everybody Wants to Rule the World - This is such a fun cinematic cover, and I can't tell you how many times I've imagined a mental AMV of the final battle with Brashaar set to it :'D
Ori, Embracing the Light - I wanted an instrumental here too, because... Essek is dead, Caleb is in shutdown, and Essek and Quaera are communing with the Luxon, a being that doesn't really speak with words. Also, 'embracing the light' is exactly what Quaera does at this point.
Would That I - I know we all use this as Caleb's 'learning to live and love again' song... and I am no exception. This is for him after the T-Dock, finally fully acknowledging his grief, and his love for Essek.
First Day of my Life - Just two wizards realising that they have a future, and agreeing to slowly work at what's between them.
Ready to Call This Love - This one speaks for itself, honestly.
Five - Both of the wizards in the final chapter, but especially Essek realising how isolated he's been from the world, and letting it all in so he can feel it. (Also, studying the universe is a love language - )
Gravity - Gravity is a metaphor for love!!!!
#please know that restricting myself to just four sleeping at last songs#is Enormous restraint for me#anyway uh have some songs and rambling#shadowgast#gravity and all that's born within#essek thelyss#caleb widogast#critical role

Tag Game: Writeblr Interview
Thanks to @cowboybrunch for the tag, this looks fun!
Long post incoming.
----------
Short stories, novels, or poems?
I find I end up with novelette/novella-length stories more often than not. I've written plenty of one-shots and short stories for prompt events, and I like doing that especially when I'm doing fanfiction or nameless characters. When I write with ocs though I tend to stretch stuff out and what had originally started as a one-shot or short story ends up becoming a novella.
Don't get me wrong I have plenty of WIPs planned out to be novels (like Trials of the Six), but the first drafts of The Hunter, the Myth and the Cure and The Legend of Orian Goldeneye were both novella-length and will probably stay that way or end up being longer. My Hero x Villain series ended up being a novelette, so basically I can't plan for how long a story's gonna be lol.
I've written a little bit of poetry (heck, I wrote one for The Legend of Orian Goldeneye that may or may not get cut), but it's not my favorite thing to write because I way overthink things. But when I do compose poetry I usually do limericks.
What genre do you prefer reading?
Fantasy, no contest. And within fantasy, usually High Fantasy with a lightcore or hopecore focus. I read some gritty stuff, but I find they tend to have elements I don't really like more than the ones I do.
Are you a planner or a write as I go kind of person?
Both? I like having an idea of where the story's gonna go, and I plan that out either before writing or while writing, so I don't get stuck. But it's really loose and gives plenty of room for the characters to go feral. I'm in the middle, but I lean more panster than plotter.
What music do you listen to while writing?
Soundtracks, usually from videogames or movies. I really should start organizing my two writing playlists by vibes other than calming music and boss fight-type, but I'm pretty happy with how I have it now. I also have some seasonal aesthetic playlists which match the vibe of the current weather.
Field Music Playlist (calming background soundtracks)
Boss Fight Playlist (pump-up, more exciting soundtracks)
Seasonal Aesthetics: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter
Favorite books/movies?
Oh goodness.
Uhhhh. UHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
My knee-jerk answer for favorite movie is and always will be The Princess Bride. But I also really like Back to the Future, The Martian, and Clue.
With books I tend to separate them into categories. For fantasy I would say it's a tie between Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, The Death Gate Cycle: Hand of Chaos by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, Mistborn: The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson, and Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynn Jones.
For sci-fi it's The Martian by Andy Weir, followed closely by Skyward by Brandon Sanderson.
My favorite classic is Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, followed by Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin.
And for nonfiction I like Stuck by Justina Van Manen, The Healing Imperative by Mike Aquilina, and Beautiful Holiness by Kathleen Beckman.
And of course the Holy Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
Any current WIPs?
This post is getting long enough already, I talk about my WIPs here and they're all linked in my pinned post in one way or another.
Create a character description of yourself:
Quiet, and keeps to herself. Never without a book, never without a rosary. Her brown hair is long, reaching nearly past her waist, and often kept up in a ponytail or a braid. She dresses mostly in dark colors, black jeans or skirt and a shirt or blouse that is black, navy, or gray, but occasionally wears a bright shirt. She wears little to no makeup unless she feels like being extra fancy. She always has a ring on her right hand, and usually a bracelet that matches her outfit, both of which she fiddles with. Her friends are few but she loves them dearly, and they are often on her mind. Though she may be quiet most of the time, she never hesitates to speak up for what she believes in.
Do you like incorporating actual people you know into your writing?
Eh... not really. I know my own thoughts and experiences much better than those around me and I wouldn't wish a lot of the stuff I do to my characters on the people I know so it just feels kinda weird to me.
Are you kill happy with your characters?
I find I like to bring my characters to the brink of death and back again rather than just killing them unless I want to write about grief. I'm more kill happy with immortal characters for the same reason.
Coffee or Tea while writing?
Usually just water, but if I can get my favorite iced coffee drink than I'd be happy to drink that.
Slow or fast writer?
It varies depending on the amount of research I have to do in a scene, but I think I write pretty fast. I haven't measured my words-per-minute in a while but it was pretty good if I recall correctly.
If you were in a fantasy world, what would you be?
I'd love to be a guide of some kind, part of the group enough that I won't get killed off. I'm pretty good with navigation and maps, and I'd like to have powers (minor ones, not overpowered) but that would depend on the fantasy world.
Most fav book cliche:
Scoundrel with a heart of gold. I eat that up like a starving woman. Han Solo, Mat Cauthon, Ifan Ben-Medz, etc. Draven Cozenson, Diana Ozborne and Korfel Domin are two oc examples.
Least favorite cliche:
Love triangles. Frustrates me to no end, especially how most of them are resolved and how they really only seem to drive wedges in the fandoms (Keeper of the Lost Cities fandom, I'm looking at you.) I have no love triangles in my stories and I never will. I have minimal romance anyway but in the two I got there is no competition.
Favorite scene to write?
*evil grin* Love writing the whump or hurt/comfort scenes, all my ocs get whumped in some form or another, and I have fun every single time.
Reason for writing?
Creative expression, love for my ocs, with a dash of "I maked these :D"
In all seriousness, it's a hobby that I love. It sparks joy and it's a craft that I continuously improve upon and the more I write the better I get at writing. I also occasionally fantasize about publishing one day and my books having fandoms of their own. Maybe that will happen someday.

how to create when you don't feel human enough for it
Some days–most days–it's hard to want to create when so much of the world feels against it.
So, in opposition to that, here are my list of things that I do to feel a little more human and get into a creative mindset.
Disclaimer: Not all of these will work for you, and all of these won't work for everyone.
It's a process to feel a little more grounded each day, so try out a few and see how it goes.
The List:
Brush your teeth, or take a shower, or do some sort of self-care thing that can help to ground you. It doesn't need to be a big thing–it could be as simple as washing your hands.
Change your clothes! You don't have to put on anything fancy–but put on something new. Even if it's just a new pair of pajamas or sweatpants.
Take 10 deep breaths–in for four out for six.
Change your setting. Move from your bedroom to the sitting room or the kitchen, or if you have the energy, go to a coffee shop or sit outside.
Turn off your phone or, if you can't turn it off, put your phone on silent. Keep it face down on the desk next to you.
Change the music you are listening too. If you've been listening to rock, try Jazz or Blues (I like Hugh Laurie specifically). If you've been listening to sad music, try some classical music (Villain Classical Music Playlists on Spotify are so fun).
If you can–just play the music outloud from your device, if you can't then use headphones.
Take breaks. I recommend every 30-45 minutes, get up and walk away from your computer or your set up. If you're at a coffee shop, get up and get a glass of water, or run to the bathroom and wash your hands.
If you are having trouble with the flow of your writing, write out beats for it–as simple as "this character goes here and says this" then "this character replies with this."
If you struggle with dialogue–try scripting your entire chapter first, just write who says what and what they say, and then turn that into a chapter (this is the way I'm writing my novel and it works so well for me).
Call a friend, or your mom, or your sibling–have some sort of human interaction that is lokey and low effort.
Jiggle your knee while sitting there–bounce it up and down, side to side, just do some sort of movement, it helps with concentration and can help with grounding (I'm doing it right now as I write this).
Sing a song! Hum along to your music!
Go for a little walk outside (weather permitting)–I walk to class most days, or at least walk up the street to buy a cup of coffee if I'm just staying in my flat all day.
Buy yourself a fun drink! Or make a fun drink! I personally love making whipped coffee which was a big trend a few years ago, the recipe is super easy:
Recipe: You'll need: Instant Coffee, Sugar, some sort of way to mix it aggressively (I use a electric coffee mixer, but you can use a fork or a hand mixer), hot water, and your choice milk. The Process: 1. Put two tablepoons of instant coffee, two tablespoons of sugar, and two tablespoons of hot water (I recommend like, almost-boiling water) in the bottom of your bowl/cup (whichever is easier to mix with). 2. Mix aggressively!!! You want it to be a light creamy color, and very fluffy! Or, at minimum, you want it to not have lumps, if you can't get it fluffy. ----Basically–this is espresso by the time you finish mixing. 3. Put it into your drinking cup, and fill the rest of the glass with milk–you can do any: oat, almond, plain, whole, chocolate (i feel like this would be yummy), etc. Optional: add ice! 4. I always add a fun color straw to it, it makes it more fun to drink! 5. enjoy!
Drink a big glass of water in one go–well, don't choke on it, but like, try to drink the whole thing without putting down the cup. Some times I find that if I put the cup down I don't actually want to finish it, so it's best to do it all in one go.
Listen to a power ballad. Something that gets you fired up and excited. Here's a list of my personal favorites:
"Dear Icarus" by Anna Miriam Brown "Free Fallin" by Tom Petty "I Won't Say I'm In Love" from Hercules "The Rider" by Paris Paloma "Now We Are Free" from Gladiator "Adiemus" by Karl Jenkins (Personal fav, and this is the guy that looked like he was wearing a costume at the coronation (there are a bunch of tweets about it, if you're curious, google "Karl Jenkins coronation tweet)). "Fire" by Katerina Gimon
Eat something!! Even if it's just toast–I love a good peice of toast with butter on it, it's low effort and yummy. If you want to make it fancier, extchange the butter for cream cheese–it's like a low effort bagel.
Cry–genuinely this makes me feel very human on days when I feel less than.
Stretch! Pop your back, roll your head around, loosen up your hands. It acts as a great moment to just center yourself.
And when you're done for the day, cuddle up and watch a movie or tv show. Something low brain energy (i love watching old disney moves from the 60s-90s), and put your phone down and away. Go to bed early, or at least go to bed before midnight, sometimes a good night of sleep can really help.
Send your writing to me. This isn't a requirement haha, but I'd love to read it!
I hope that some of these are helpful! If you have any suggestions for me to add–dm me or send an ask in! If you ever need music recommendations, ask!
I hope you can get back to creating, you're doing great and everything that you make is amazing and wonderful. Writing is a proces, it's not a sprint to the finish.
I wish you the absolute best! You've got this.

hello there! i've been lurking on ur blog for a while now, and i absolutely love your art and analyses of hikaai!! you made me realize how good of a ship they are together and how tragic it is, and i think you made me love them as much as i do now. the analyses you write about them have really changed my viewpoint of oshi no ko entirely, and i really enjoy how well written they are. thank you so much for all of it!!
i wanted to ask you if you know some songs that seem very hikaai to you? i want to make a playlist for hikaai because i can't find any on spotify, but right now there's not many songs, so i turn to you for help. i've put mephisto and fatal in there because of your posts with those songs :33
thank you once more !! keep being great !!
Hello!// Wow, it's such an honor! I say this a lot lately but I really mean it.. Really? I am so glad! Ah, this makes me so happy. I've been writing about them in a rather frantic manner, I wish I could be more graceful and calm... I'm suddenly feeling a bit shy hehe but I have to be really stern about wrong things, aren't I!! I can't be so calm when I talk about beings like Ryosuke, there are just some things that I feel really strongly about and can't condone... this manga tackles really dark subjects sometimes, and they always get a reaction out of me.
It may take a few chapters for the current situation in the piece to be fully resolved (idk if they'll drag the idea of Kamiki being the "true villain" for so long.. that's going to be so tiring if they do), but I feel like I am on the right track after having thought over just what exactly this piece is trying to convey. ONK has a theme that's been very clear and consistent, and I believe in the writers to send out a message powerful and meaningful. It's made me think about what people go through, and I appreciate it.
Again, wow, really?/// I had that effect on you? Whew, this is so relieving and fulfilling, you're so kind! Thanks for letting me know! They are quite a lovely and powerful ship, aren't they? People will come to see what they are by the series comes to its closure. I know it will happen! There aren't a lot of pieces dedicated to them yet... but when everyone realizes it's THE Fatal and Mephisto ship, they'll see. Hope my works don't get buried when that happens~ ;v;)/
I would love to help you on this, but I was never really good at making playlists.. will you link me yours when you make yours? :)
I'm really sure I know a lot of songs that have their vibe, but I can't finger them right off the bat:
However, I felt the new songs from P3R really suits them in terms of some of its lyrics because it deals with the loss of someone dear and unknowing what to do without them. I've been listening to those a lot along with onk songs, and it's REALLY fitting!
+OH WAIT NEVER MIND. I found a whole BUNCH of songs.
I hope they suit your taste 'v')/
youtube
It feels like my heart is suffocating
How do you make amends when you're gone from me?
Even though with a win how come I feel so lost?
Nothing makes sense to me
I'm so numb, so lost without you
Spending days and nights of silence
'cause no words can explain how I feel In my mind and heart
Oh, I don't know what I am but I miss myself 'cause she's not here anymore
How can I move on? Please tell me
youtube
Already lost my keys
To the door wide shut
Only have one wish
Now it's never gonna come true
Trapped in time
Forever in remorse
How could I ever be
In peace when nothing else matters to me?
youtube
Phantasmagoria is a interesting song, there are lyric in the description.. its story involves encountering a ghost of a loved one and dancing together before daylight strikes, wishing to return to the old days when they were alive. It's worth a listen!
youtube
Hydra from MYTH & ROID is such a powerful song.
ACTUALLY, this is the one song I think would be REALLY fitting, it's SO similar to Fatal in terms of what it's saying!
The lyrics for this go:
Even if I lose everything
I still have something to offer
Be it my future or my life itself
My burned-out emotions, my unanswered prayers
My miserable begging, my foolish giving
My strained voice, my dirtied hands
Even my ripped open heart
I have been wishing for nothing but your happiness
Over and over
Even if everything I hold in these hands is lost
As long as there is still time
I will keep trying over and over again
I don't care if it's meaningless and futile
Even if the days I've spent would end in misery
If my wishes change to curses
Even if it was all in vain, I don't mind
Only you remain in my eyes
At the end of this dark road
It seems as though any light would eventually die out
If that is what is decided by fate
Rather than living by holding onto hope
I sacrifice my all for the now
My burned-out emotions, my unanswered prayers
My miserable begging, my foolish giving
Whatever happens, I don't care
I will give my all for you
Nothing would make me happier than
If I could be with you forever
youtube
This song is very interesting too! It has lyrics like:
Please, I’ll do anything, just once, let me turn back time.
I’ll even offer up one, no, two of my fingers.
I can’t bring myself to laugh, ever.
Because even the most natural of my emotions vanished along with you.
Yes, that’s right.
No matter how many years pass, I still live as if I’m dead.
Now, God, break me, break me, please.
I have no idea what happened.
This bone-dry heart of mine, come on
touch it, touch it, please.
Even if a thousand years pass, they won’t heal.
I’ll carry these wounds to the end.
Hey, God, kill me, come on, kill me, please.
It’s all my fault, you see.
Things can never be put back to the way they were,
in the end, just laugh, laugh at me again.
These are some depressing songs, but I feel like those were the type of feelings Hikaru would have felt all along. And the songs involve about wishes to bring someone or to turn back time, so I feel it's very fitting to the situation! If he could do it, he'd definitely bring Ai back. And from what I see, he's disregarding his life a whole lot...
youtube
How about "Mugen Nostalgia?" I'm just adding this on because this cover sounds so good! But now that I examine the lyrics, it works!!
Until when will I walk by myself?
It spins round and round, then it slips past by.
Until where will you let me feel lonely?
Are you giggling? Where are you?
I want to see you again.
Is it too rushed to go now? But it's always like this, isn't it?
"Can I see you again?"
Don’t laugh at me with such a blank face, like a scarecrow at the sunset.
I’m still chasing what I've been looking for.
So I will never stop my footsteps until I finally find that.
There’s no need for such thing as promises.
I'll come for you, so don't worry, it's my classic memory.
youtube
Saying “since you’re so lovely I can’t stand it,”
I held tightly to laziness’ hand, feeling completely tamed while it looked my way and laughed laughed so many times, saying, “that’s how it is”while looking at me with distant, pitying eyes
Grieving these horrible times—yes, over and over I’ve suffered
Since salvation without an aim can never reach
There’s nothing left, no, nothing left now
Let’s put an end to it with words
“Ah, I’m satisfied with this” I chanted that over and over
A utopia which slips through my fingers and vanishes
It’s surely, yes, surely a bit too late to return to that time, it seems
youtube
I can't get my mind off you
I'm such an idiot
Same as usual
You made me feel so better
It brings back memories
It's things about you
My hands can't take back that the time I passed with you
Some doubts broke me down, broke me down
If you are still alive, I wanted to say it's not your fault
But it's too late for us
Maybe I'm afraid I'm not as tender guy as you think
Looking your eyes, and I say "love you" with fake smile
I don't know what to do
Please tell me what should I do
Just feel so sad inside, but I kiss you
Kiss you...
youtube
To end this on a positive note, Lamp from Cö shu Nie seems really fitting to how Ai would feel towards Hikaru, I've been there when TPN was reaching its closure and I'm having so many flashbacks about them seeing how things are playing out in ONK. Emma really wanted to save Norman who was keeping up a strong front and chose to take a path of death for everyone's sake and she was able to bring him back in the end with.. a really huge cost... This song reflects how much she cares for him. She brought him back into the light, and I feel like this is what Ai is going to do for Hikaru too.. it's such a warm song.
It's been confirmed by the creator that it is about how Emma felt about Norman.
Quasi love, quasi love, quasi love. I want to be connected
What you thought was a waste and you removed(your life)
Is irreplaceable to me
Don't stay quiet with such a sad face
Kick it up
Get so dirty that you look pathetic
Do we still have some time left?
You can go beyond
It's warm because we are together
Stand up again and again
I want to protect you forever
Repaint this little world
Keep shining, this road I chose
If you are afraid, it's gonna be okay.
The QUASI-LOVE though. That gets me because. Ai. was so unsure about love even while what she had was so genuine.
hope you enjoy these songs~ I wish I could bring some songs from mainstream pop culture too, o<-< but I think there are some things that anime...ish songs can fill. I mean, I feel they're REALLY fitting.. don't you think? and they're all good songs!! I promise they're all worth giving a listen to!
I'm so glad you found love towards this ship the way I do! ;v;)/ Thanks for reaching out to me to tell me how you feel!! See you around, I look forward to sharing more things with you, and everyone!

Do you have any music that reminds you of Edge?
... Kinda? I'm not the sort of person to make playlists based on characters but... I DO have a playlist for Flipping Fate! I'll stick a sampling of the songs under the cut in no particular order ^^
Edit: as I was drafting this post I remembered I think Blorbo Thoughts a lot while listening to music, so I DO actually have some songs that make me think of Edge!
can you hear the thunder: Thematically appropriate re: the themes of storms in Flipping Fate. Tumultuous emotions!! This was a VERY early addition to my Flipping Fate playlist lol.
Cut Me Up: Reminds me of both Edge and the FF!Reader actually! It's a song all about not being able to voice your true emotions soooo...
Walk the Line: I like to think about Edge working through his feelings and figuring himself out, especially in respect to shifting universes and the resulting adjustments that he needs to go through. This hits pretty close in that respect.
Lay All Your Love On Me (Vampire Rendition): I listened to this for a few months while writing Flipping Fate and like... ah. The lyrics and the way they're sung is really reminiscent of Edge to me.
villain: Just read the lyrics. Need I say more?
Your Stupid Face: THE silly enemies to lovers anthem, of course I'm including this. "I didn't run away! It was a strategic retreat" is particularly Edge-y. Flipping Fate didn't take this direction, but it still makes me think of Edge.
Don't be Afraid: This is actually moreso a SF/FS!Pap song to me (depending on context) but I feel like the lyrics also fit Edge's internal thoughts :3c
If yall have any other songs that remind you of Edge I'd love to hear them 👀!!
#inbox#velwy.txt#anon#other songs on the flipping fate playlist: Good Enough by Maisie Peters#also Flowers Need Rain by Preston Pablo#but that one is more generic love song and it fits more thematically than anything

Writeblr Interview tag game!
Wooo thanks for the tag @tildeathiwillwrite this looks like fun!
Open tag for anybody else who wants to answer these :)
Short stories, novels, or poems?
Yes, yes, and yes lol.
I tend to write novel-length things purely because I just... keep going XD I usually get more ideas than a short story allows. I do need to work on keeping things to the point sometimes!
But I have written short stories and one-shots (mostly as responses to promts) and I am very technically a published poet, since a few of my poems were published in a collection thanks to a writing competition back in high school .
What genre do you prefer reading?
Fantasy, full stop. I also love books that play on fairy tales and folklore.
Are you a planner or a write as I go kind of person?
I usually like to have a general idea of where I'm going, and figure the rest out along the way. Sometimes I make full outlines when projects get Really Big.
What music do you listen to while writing?
I either put on one of my incredibly random playlists or go to youtube and look for "relaxing [insert video game here] music." Pokemon soundtracks are actually really nice to write to.
Favorite books/movies?
Soooo many lol.
I'm a big fan of Disney and Pixar movies (as one of my previous posts made pretty obvious lol), particularly the Disney renaissance. Adore The Princess Bride. Love Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Love Studio Ghibli movies, personal favorite being Castle in the Sky. Of course, we have the classic Muppet Treasure Island as well. And I love every version of Scott Pilgrim out there, the movie, Netflix anime, and graphic novels are all amazing.
And for books... oh my gods there are too many to list here, but shout outs to Catherynne M. Valente's Fairyland series, the Chrestomanci books by Diana Wynne Jones (as well as Howl's Moving Castle), Raybearer and Redemptor by Jordan Ifueko, and the Hero's Guide series by Christopher Healy. Percy Jackson, too.
A lot of my favorite whump moments come from the good old Deltora Quest series by Emily Rhodda and The Mage of Trelian by Michelle Knudsen.
Any current WIPs?
So many. Too many. I need to escape lol.
Do you like incorporating actual people you know into your writing?
I've based a few characters off of people I know before. Mostly my close friends. One of whom I write with a lot, so we've used each other as inspiration several times lol.
Are you kill happy with your characters?
No no no no no, not at all lolol. It's exactly the opposite. I have so much difficulty permanently killing off characters, to the point that my first novel-length project way back in my first year of high school ended with the villain getting polymorphed into a fish instead of dying. XD
I only do permadeath when it is absolutely necessary for the story. But... well, to quote The Return of Jafar: "You'd be surprised what you could live through."
Coffee or Tea while writing?
Don't usually drink or snack while writing.
Slow or fast writer?
Completely depends on the project, but I would say fairly slow. Especially compared to my writing buddy they're an absolute speed demon lol
If you were in a fantasy world, what would you be?
Depends on the fantasy world, really. Definitely some kind of musician and/or storyteller, like a troubador or something. Maybe some kind of minor nobility, with all the "fun" I've had with the burden of expectations. I would love to have some kind of magic, especially if it's music-based. So..... basically a bard!
I'd also be very likely to be something not fully human, be that an elf or fairy or mermaid... or even a changeling.
Most fav book cliche:
There's a long list! But I really like Found Family stuff, and any time magic comes with A Price.
Least favorite cliche:
Characters getting pointlessly killed off just for the sake of Extra Drama.
Favorite scene to write?
Hurt/comfort, both ends! I especially love anything with added Guilt for one or all parties!
Reason for writing?
To paraphrase Brian David Gilbert: stories come to me in my dreams like a prophet receiving visions from an angry god.
I write because I'm always coming up with different ideas. I write because I was basically designed to study and create stories. Even if I don't physically write anything down, I will always find a way to tell some kind of story, be it just piecing together ideas in my head or through singing Broadway-style songs or even just attempting to draw a character. I write because it's just what I do!

Do songs that you listen often to ever remind you of characters or events from TPiaG or other stories you've written? It happens to me a lot with stuff from a story with OCs I've been helping my best friend make for years now.
Anyways, I'm asking about it because a song from my playlist reminded me a lot of Twig when I heard it while driving the other day. I had heard the song a million times before, but when I was thinking about the lyrics more they seemed to perfectly fit her internal conflict. The song was Blurt by Mega Mango if you want to take a listen.
The song is definitely just about dealing with mental health issues in general, but my PMD brainrot made it so that this was all I could think about after my epiphany. On that note, I want to offer you a congratulations for writing characters so well that they takes over my brain from time to time. I greatly appreciate it. :D
First up: Thanks so much for your kind words! Second: Oh my goodness. My friend, you are opening up Pandora's Box.
TPiaG doesn't have as many songs associated with it as my other projects because it hasn't been in development for several years— however, a vital part of my story development process is listening to music and imagining all the animatics of the characters and storyline that I want to make set to them. I do this for every project that sufficiently resonates with the blorbo frequency in my brain, and TPiaG is no exception!
In terms of songs that embody specific events but aren't connected to a single character, I regularly listen to “Turn the Lights off” by Tally Hall and imagine a sort of extended theme song animation for if TPiaG were an animated series. There's so many lines that mention concepts important to the story!
Another animatic song, this one set in the Dark Future when Twig was human and starting her and Grovyle's quest to save the world, is "Running Out Of Time" by Lin-Manuel Miranda--- specifically the stretch spanning at roughly 1:10 to the end of the song. I have a very vivid image of Twig repeatedly shouting at Grovyle that they need to abscond ASAP as he frantically gathers supplies that spilled out of his bag while they're being pursued by the sableye, and then of Dusknoir being dismissed by a ferryman as he's interrogating him on which way they went.
I also still listen to “Let's Get This Over With” by They Might be Giants and imagine the rest of that one unfinished animatic I posted forever ago. That song isn't as blatantly connected to the events of the game, but there's a few anchor points in the lyrics I really enjoy.
As for individual characters and songs I associate with them, here’s a selection with links to Spotify for easy listening!
Twig:
"Hey, Doctor Doctor" by Milk in the Microwave
"Monster" by Half Moon Run
"Smile" by Ukuletea
"Feelings Are Fatal" by mxmtoon
... And now, "Blurt" by Mega Mango as well!
Ark:
"Problems" by Mother Mother
"Rule #21- Momento Mori" by Fish in a Birdcage
"What You Know" by Two Door Cinema Club
Kip:
"I'm Not Fine" by Blixemi
"Don't Throw Out My Legos" by AJR
"Just Take My Wallet" by Jack Stauber’s Micropop
Grovyle:
"The Villain I Appear to Be" covered by Annapantsu
"Surface Pressure" covered by Annapantsu
(I don't know why both of these songs are specifically the versions sung by Annapantsu. Apparently she's Grovyle-coded in my head.)
Celebi:
(Insert any bubblegum pop or kawaii future bass song of your choice here.)
(Celebi has somehow evaded my ability to assign her songs. I’ll get her someday.)
Dusknoir:
"I'll Be Good" by Jaymes Young
"Never Love an Anchor" by The Crane Wives
"I Was Me" by Imagine Dragons
Twig's Aunt:
"Family Jewels" by Marina and the Diamonds
"In Fact (Demo Version)" By Gregory and the Hawk
"Ain't It Fun" by Paramore
Twig's Mother:
"Brother" by Madds Buckley
And for those who'd enjoy some Travailshipping songs...
"You Are The Moon" by The Hush Sound
"Dark Clay" by Levi Weaver
"When the Day Met the Night" by Panic! at the Disco
"Can I Have the Day With You" by Sam Ock
"Tongues & Teeth" by The Crane Wives

Pff, figures, haha XD
Writing my villain oc meeting Dabi's in an alleyway while he's leaning against a brick wall, smoking a cigarette and the first thing that pops into my head is "Cowboy Casanova" by Carrie Underwood.
So of course, I gonna listen to it.
"He looks like a cool drink of water. But he's candy-coated misery. He's the devil in disguise. A snake with blue eyes."
Yup, another song added to the Dabi playlist that keeps on growing. Shit.... Pyro, keeps trying to bury himself deeper and deeper into my head.
I know Dabi fangirls are squealing and laughing at me, chanting, "one of us! one of us!"
All I can say, cuz I know I've already said it, probably a millions times already. XD
Patchwork keeps showing up more and more than Shiggy at this point while I'm trying to focus on Kai, but noooooo, hehe.
Dabi's gonna be an impatient little gremlin, waving his hands in my face, "It's my turn, princess, me me me! Leave birdface and play with me instead."
Ugh, it's like he knows I'm a sucker for blue eyes and white hair! Which I think suits him better anyways
Anyways, let me know what ya'll think? Do you agree with me that this song "Cowboy Casanova" by Carrie Underwood screams, "Dabi!" Yes? No? Maybe?
Is the Dabi brainrot going too far? No? Nowhere close?

Will you ever create a spotify playlist for Altered State? because I'm on my third reread and I just keep thinking about how nice it would be to listen to some music that captures the vibes of this amazing fic ♡ I can't even count how many times I think about this story daily
Third reread! omg I'm so happy to hear that <3
I've been hoarding my asks, so I'm sorry for the super late response, but I have several playlists (classical/instrumental, angsty/emotional) with songs I listen to while writing Altered State. Music helps me so much, and some songs and lyrics just capture the scene so perfectly for me.
I don't post them because everyone's music tastes are so different and I don't want to kill the vibe for someone while they're reading in case it's not their cup of tea.
But here are some of my song recs for Altered State:
Craving - Acoustic by YMIR (recc'ed by the lovely @iamdronegirl)
Wicked Game by Ursine Vulpine, Annaca (Nurchie's rec)
Mr. Sandman - SYML (Nurchie's rec)
Paralysed - Jamie Bower (this is my rec for the Descent arc)
Lightning Field - Sneaker Pimps (also for Descent)
Tranquility Trap - Sneaker Pimps (I always come back to this band)
Desire - Meg Myers
Broken Promise - Placebo
Plastic Heart - Nostalghia, Tyler Bates, Joel J. Richard
Who is She? - I Monster
The Epilogue - Crosses (this is Abraxas' theme)
So Far Gone - Sneaker Pimps, Simonne Jones (this one makes me so happy)
Bloodbath - Polyphia
Killshot - Slowed + Reverb by Magdalena Bay
What it Cost and Like a Villain - Bad Omens (I listened to this band so much while writing the Siren arc)

🍜🍣🍡?
🍜 Do you ever feel pressured to write?
Sometimes. I feel like online culture is so rooted in constantly producing new content now that people sort of stop fucking with you if you're not updating daily or weekly at the very least. I see why the SMAUs and "fast fashion" fanfics get so popular. Easy to produce and isn't as draining as outlining and plotting a multichapter fic.
🍣 What helps you focus or get in the mood to write?
When I want to be inspired, I'll read or play video games or watch movies or shows. Sometimes all it takes is observing how a story is told to get me in the right mindset to tackle my own stories. Most of the time, I'm using Ole Reliable: maladaptive daydreaming while listening to the most emotionally cathartic playlist I can come up with.
🍡 Which of your fics was the most emotionally difficult to write?
Daughter of Disgrace, by far. I covered a few heavy themes and narratives in a short sprint [only twelve chapters]. Mainly the characters dealing with so much loss, and grief both old and new. And not just the protagonists, the villain too. It was emotionally taxing for me to get into the mindset to get that tone just right.

♫ for Moon Chosen, Moon Guided?
♫ send a fic and i’ll make a 3-5 song playlist for you
Oh, this is a fun one! Thank you!
You get eight, because I want that 8tracks experience back.
-
How Not To Drown by CHVRCHES and Robert Smith
Speak With the Dead by Foxing
Pompeii MMXXIII by Bastille and Hans Zimmer
Runs in the Family by Amanda Palmer
Free by Mother Mother
Meet Me on the Equinox by Death Cab for Cutie
Never Look Away by Vienna Teng
The One Moment by OK Go
-
While writing the fic, I also listened to the entirety of Beneath the Skin by Of Monsters and Men many, many times - a course of action I recommend in general, fanfiction notwithstanding, but I do feel it's worth mentioning and I couldn't pick just one track from it. The other thing I had on repeat a ton is this 30-minute loop of the Last Light Inn theme from the OST, because it is gorgeous.
Another musical tidbit: I find it hilarious that ever since I made this silly edit, my brain has associated Werewolf Gimmick by the Mountain Goats with Aylin going hog wild smite-happy. So if I need a scene with some of that the villain! is! dead! energy, I play it, I hear those drums start up and I'm off. It's like a cheat code. And this is in addition to my 8 (or 16) Metal Tracks To Smite Your Father-In-Law To here.
You know, on second thought, maybe I just like thinking of Aylin smiting people.

I'm curious about this one 🎶 Do you listen to music while you write? What song have you been playing on loop lately?
I don't listen to music when I write, no. I just can't focus if I do, especially if it's music with lyrics in a language I understand. Some part of my brain tries to focus on both things at the same time and it just turns into a huge mess xD
So, for the most part, I just write with rain sounds in the background, or similar ambient noises (preferably nature ones). Because I still need something to shut out the outside noises when I write — like from people around me and such — it just can't be done with music.
And that means I also don't really connect music to my stories or have playlists and things like that. The only exception is Who Holds the Devil which does have an official playlist, but it took me literal days to put it together. Thankfully, I've also gotten some really nice suggestions from readers so it's no longer just my weird music taste xD
So yeah. While I love music, I unfortunately can't listen to it when I write.
As for a song I've been looping (which, incidentally, also got added to the Who Holds the Devil playlist) I'd say This Is How Villains Are Made by Madalen Duke. That and Ruin by Isaac Hong from the Strangers From Hell soundtrack. But, again, not while I've been writing xD
Fanfic Writer Emoji Ask
#Amethystina Writes#vanessa93chan#Fanfic Writer Emoji Ask Game#I always get asked this question for some reason x'D#And the answer it always the same#Because I just can't listen to music when I write#I haven't been able to do that in years#Which is a bit of a bummer I will admit#But I've learned to accept it
