Another win for the autism crowd, I'm a science autistic and really fucking love learning every detail about something.

In high school I took what we learned in class and spent the whole time on my laptop researching for more info. We're doing gas exchange? Cool I've learnt everything possible about the the differences between insect, mammalian, and fish respiration down to the chemical level. Oh what you want me to just.. describe them? For the assessment? Erm okay. I guess.

Now I'm in uni and doing core papers for my medical degree and I'm like "wait u guys didn't?? Learn how a neuron re-polarizes bc you weren't a weirdo 16yo who thought extension chemistry/bio was too surface level????"

Kept my mouth shut about it obviously I'm not a dickhead but I sometimes forget that other people were doing things like idk, getting bitches whilst I was deep in academic journal jargon.

Isn't it so weird to think that time keeps going forwards and we're all going with it at the same pace? Isn't it silly to think about the fact that no one after you were born will ever be older than you ever again? It's it just so goofy to contemplate the fact that if we could just get along no one would really have to be suffering as much as they currently do?
