Party Time

Prompt: You are Nessie's bestie. She invites you to a party the pack is having. Seth looks like the pic above. He is now 20.

"C'mon y/n! Chug it!" Embry encourages you. You are three shots of vodka in and one 4 loko. The dizziness is hitting you, but you feel so euphoric! Nessie never drinks anything which is okay with you. Jacob is drinking a coors. This is the first time you've met any of Jacob's friends. So far, you've spoken to Jared, Kim, and Embry. Embry and you are having a blast. There's a few more people here but you haven't gotten around to them.

"Okay, Embry, she's definitely had enough." You hear Jacob's voice behind you. You laugh and pat Embry's shoulder. "Jake, I've only just started." You retort. Embry cheers. Jake rolls his eyes and drags you away. You groan and follow him towards the bonfire. He sits you next to Renesmee. She smiles and puts a hand on your knee. "Y/n, chill here for a few minutes." She said softly. You nod your head and look around.

You lock eyes with a young man close to your age. The spinning stopped. You had a glimpse of sober. His eyes are burning through you. You've never felt this before. You needed him. He was beautiful.

He blinks and smiles to himself. You look over to Jacob who is smirking at him. "Who's that?" You ask. Jacob looks at you with wide eyes. "Oh, no ma'am. You are not meeting him like this." He shakes his head sternly at you. You don't listen and stand up, stumbling a bit. You walk over to him. He looks up at you like the pic 👆. He stands up and hovers over you. He is so tall and handsome. "Who are you, mister beauty?" You slur. The drunkeness is coming back to you. He chuckles and looks down at his feet. "I'm Seth. You?" He reaches his hand out. You are so out of it that you ignore his hand and stare into his eyes. He watches you carefully. "I'm y/n. And I am drunk. Also, I want you to know that I literally just experienced love at first sight." You ramble on while holding a finger up. He puts his lips in a thin line staring at you before looking over to Jacob. Jacob puts his hands up in defense. "All yours now, buddy." He laughs. You laugh too and he looks back at you. "I think I need to drink more. Where's Embry?" You look around. He lightly grabs your chin which sent electricity down your body. He pulls your face to his so you're looking at him. "Maybe I should take you home?" He asks with concern. "Oh? We're doing that?" You snort. He shakes his head and chuckles. "No, I mean you need sleep." You frown when he responds with that.

"Jake, I'm gonna take her home and make sure she is safe in bed." He lightly takes a hold of your arm pulling you to his truck. You grumble and he gets you seated and buckled up. He gets in the drivers sear and begins the drive. "Where do you live?" He questions. "Leave the rez. Go to Forks. I'll tell you turns and... stuff." You hiccup. You can barely keep your eyes open. But you manage to keep him going in the right direction.

Eventually, he pulls up to your house. He picks you up bridal style. He opens the door and sighs at the fact that your door is unlocked. He lays you on the couch and takes your shoes off. He puts a blanket over you. You just lay there not moving.

----4 p.m next day----

You recovered from your hangover after lunch. You remembered Seth. You needed to get to him asap. You phone Jacob, and he tells you to come over. You leave your house and go to Jacob's. Him and Seth are sitting outside on some logs.

"Hey." You look at Jake. He nods with a smile. Seth stands up and looks at you with a big ol smile. "Nice to see you recovered!" He beams. "I just really wanted to thank you for last night. And I need to apologize. I was so inappropriate and I was just acting crazy. I am so sorry." You keep your eyes on his. He leaves his smile on his face. "No, don't apologize. There's a lot to tell you. Would today be a good day?"

"Absolutely!"

He grabs your hand and leads you to the woods.

"Seth, why are you leading me here?" You get nervous. "I need to show you something." He rubs his thumb over your knuckles to calm your nerves, which does work. He sighs and steps back from you. He begins to remove his shirt.

"Woah there, partner?!" You yell and cover your eyes. He doesn't say anything but you hear zippers and rustling. "What the fuck are you doing?" You finally move your hands and see his body contort and in seconds, a wolf is standing in front of you.

Your heart beats fast. The wolf stands there just staring at you. You're at a loss for words. You're not screaming since you know it's just seth. But how?! He changes back and you quickly turn around as he gets dressed. "Y/n, I'm a shapeshifter. The legends about my tribe are true." He grabs your shoulders to turn you around. "You... won't hurt me?" You ask. "No, I never will. Nobody in my tribe will. We are the good guys. We protect the people here."

"Who do you protect us from?" You ask.

"Vampires."

You put your hand on your forehead, taking in this information. "There's more." He adds. He backs away from you. You stare, really hoping the dude doesn't turn into a tiger or some shit.

"There's this spiritual connection we have with one specific person. The universe chooses. It's called imprinting. We have to protect them, love them, and be there for them."

You gulp knowing that what you felt is this: imprinting. "When you were drunk, I saw you and me. We had a house. We got married. We even had a baby. We grew old together. It was everything I could ever want."

You hold your breath, thinking deeply. You step forward and move your hand to his cheek. You hold his face softly. He leans into your hand and holds your wrist. "I'm willing to do anything for you, y/n. You don't have to be with me if you don't want to. If you do, we go at your pace." He says softly. You knew how you felt.

"Take me on a date tonight." You smile. His fave brightens up. "Where do you want to go?" He asks. "Surprise me."

----months later. Maybe like 4 months haha---

You feel strong and warm arms wrap around you as you wash the dishes. You turn off the sink and turn to face him. He crashes his lips onto yours. You kiss back and wrap your arms around his neck. He has one hand on the bottom of your back and the other on the back of your head, tangled in your hair.

The kiss gets sloppy and heated. You walk forward, pushing him against the wall on the other side of the kitchen. He grunts, making you bite his lip. In a swift move, you are pinned against the wall. His lips attack your neck. You close your eyes and lean your head back.

Why I think that killing off Adam was the biggest mistake Viv could make

TW: ranting and spoilers

This entire blog is just gonna be me going on a rant about my opinion on why I think Adam shouldn't of been killed off and why he shouldn't be killed off so early and shit , not only did I not see it as unnecessary for the plot, but there's so much Vivienne could of done for his character other than just throwing the whole character away in just one season , I'll be listing things for what they could of done for Adam's character

1. Plotholes

I'm just gonna say it right here and right now, Adam was killed off waaay too early and not only would we be left with many many plot holes like, where is both of his sons (Caine and Abel), the potential they could of used for his character, and ect.

2. Character potential

^^this fucking scene^^ , because the thought of when Adam first pulling up and being like "Hello, Adam here!!" Is just so fucking funny to me (just less plagiarized, and more unique)

and maybe his arrival leads to his words "Hell is forever" ,his own song gets used against him sense not only did he have the audacity to go to the hotel to get back into heaven but he has said it himself, how redemption isn't possible

But references aside ,Adam can have some potential for his character, like maybe he not only comes to the hotel not only for the intention of going back to Heaven because he hates being down in hell but also for the intention of plotting some revenge for what the hotel residents all did to him

,but the longer he stays there the less and less he tries to plot his revenge , the more and more he realized how flawed heaven and heaven's people are most of the time, and ect.

And ect. and he's so indenial of it at first and doesn't want to believe it but no matter how much he tries there's no denying it , deep down he knows it's true but he doesn't want to believe it

3. Character potential (again)

Like maybe Adam has become fallen in the first place because not only did him sinning in Heaven eventually catch up to him, but maybe also because after finding out the exterminations were unnecessary after Sir Pentious entered the heavens gates, it was finally time for Adam to take his fall

They can also actually start touching on Adam's trauma and how it affects him, his trauma being : being forced into a relationship the moment he was created (Lilith and Eve) , having to be the father and/or decendant of all of the human race , having been kicked out of the garden after Lucifer has second handedly invented evil into the world , and said evil causing his son to kill his other son(which is his and God's fault also)

Like maybe sense Vivziepop is putting a slight different spin to things to Hazbin hotel, she doesn't really having to follow the entire list (sense it's her show) , she can still do something with some of it and still find a way to bring it up and with that it could be the reason behind how he behaves , his personality as a whole, and why he wears that narcissistic mask (while it doesn't necessarily excuse his actions)

4. Character design

If Adam was to somehow end up coming back as a fallen angel, as a sinner. Viv can find a way to go crazy with his fallen design, like any other cartoonist in this world, I know that those cartoonist has seen fanart and fan creations of their shows, movies, and characters

I've seen my fair share of seeing really really good fallen designs for Adam and I'm fucking here for it , they're all so good

,it just needs to happen

5. Character development & redemption arc

Like mentioned in Character potential 2 , Adam can have some potential for his character, like maybe he not only comes to the hotel not only for the intention of going back to Heaven because he hates being down in hell but also for the intention of plotting some revenge for what the hotel residents all did to him

but the longer he stays there the less and less he tries to plot his revenge , the more and more he realized how flawed heaven and heaven's people are most of the time, and ect.

And ect. and he's so indenial of it at first and doesn't want to believe it but no matter how much he tries there's no denying it , deep down he knows it's true but he doesn't want to believe it . Like maybe Adam just still acts the same but without him realizing it or acknowledging it he's just becoming a better person and maybe even comedically he just thinks that the misfits gave him a disease /illness when that's not the case

Maybe in the next seasons he could even become a better father to his sons, Caine and Abel but similar to Lucifer, let them do their own thing sense those two are basically adults now and hey, Adam could be more like a cool dad

I feel like Adam has more cool dad energy

6. The relationships he'll end up making

Just imagine the relationships Adam slowly but gradually builds during his redemption arc, like maybe him and Charlie ending having like an fun uncle and niece kind of relationship or something, maybe slowly but gradually he becomes like another friend of Angel Dust's, and ect.

As he processes through his redemption arc he can end up making friends and building relationships down in hell , possibly in the near future Charlie, Vaggie, Angeldust, Alastor, Cherri bomb, Husk, Nifty, Razzle, and Lucifer doesn't fight against him but with him if another threat were to come

7. There could be another antagonists that's worse or maybe even a bigger threat than Adam

Maybe another antagonists could be made that's more of a mystery and even a bigger threat than Adam , that's just like Adam (or not) but amp up the bad traits he has, maybe this time Adam could be the one helping the others fight and rebel against this guy in his own way

8. Another musical number

Another musical number with them singing badly about heaven in song in the near future but this time with Charlie ,Vaggie, Angeldust, Alastor, Cherri bomb, Husk, Nifty, Razzle, Lucifer, and most of all Adam but the reprise has a metal spin to it and this time Adam joins in and does it with his guitar

9. Another reason she shouldn't of killed off Adam is because she'd be killing off fat /plus size representation

Another reason I feel like Viv shouldn't of killed off Adam is because she'd be killing of fat character representation and I wouldn't want a chubby character like Adam to be killed off

,of course we have Mimzy now but she doesn't count sense she's just one character and only just one character and as much as I love Mimzy I feel like the show needs more than just one or two fat characters

And for the people that think "He isn't chubby" , try again and look at him again , how he sits , lays down (like how he was laying after her got shanked in his arm by Charlie), and ect.

10. I just want some vulnerable moments with Adam

Whether that be Adam bawling his eyes out, having a panic attack, having a mental/emotional breakdown, or ect. I just want to see a vulnerable side of Adam, Adam angst if you will

Ranking How Deadly Each of the TF2 Mercs Would Be In A Fistfight

Note: following the rules of the poll here, we are saying this is simply fist to fist, with no weapons or equipment for either combatant. I think we all know that if ANY of the TF2 mercs had their weapons in this scenario you'd be fucked

With that in mind, from least to most deadly:

9. Sniper

Honestly I think this is the most realistic match for. Anyone on this site really. Sniper's specialty is long range so if you force him to fight fist to fist he is not gonna have a good time. He even says in the comic that when he was a kid and other kids started fistfights that his go-to strategy was to climb up a tree and throw rocks at them. He would not be good in a fistfight is all I'm saying.

8. Scout

Now if we were going purely by SKILL Scout would actually be a lot higher. He definitely has a lot of experience in fist fights, definitely moreso than the two above him on the list at least, and like. Meet the Scout literally has him solo a Heavy with nothing but his fists and a baseball bat. You are fighting Scout in his element he can absolutely kick your ass. The reason he is down this low is not because Scout is bad at fighting, but because Scout is a moron. Out of all the mercs Scout is the one you could most reasonably trick. It is not about "can you beat Scout" it's about "can you distract him long enough to get in a cheap shot to knock him out and book it." And, honestly, I think that's fairly achievable! If you can't manage that though you're fucked

7. Engineer

We are now at the point where you are basically at the mercy of god. Engineer is down this low because, while all the mercs are at least a little insane, he's what you could argue to be the most reasonable one and the most likely to go easy on you. Aaaaaaand he also doesn't seem like the type to have fistfighting experience. That being said he can ABSOLUTELY kill you because, the thing is? He doesn't have two hands. He has one hand, and a mechanical prosthetic hand he can spin like a drill. Can't exactly remove that. Get him pissed enough and you are fucked

6. Medic

Unlike Engineer, Medic not only will happily kill you but has the knowledge to kill you too. He knows how to fix all your bones and that also means he knows how to break them. Only reason he's down this low is because of the no weapons requirement. If he had his bonesaw you'd be fucked guaranteed but it'd be a bit harder to use his techniques with just his hands. He also doesn't have any notable hand to hand combat skills so like. Glimmer of a chance but in all likelihood that would be the Medic's glasses as he opens you up like a frog in a high school science class.

5. Demoman

Demoman has absolutely been in a brawl fight before. Like we may have never seen him in one but there is no way he hasn't been in a bar fight. He also handles live explosives and a whole ass sword with a surprising amount of grace and precision despite being constantly drunk so you can't really count on that throwing off his aim either. He's the exact right combination of skilled, crazy, and competent that you're kinda fucked no matter what. The only saving grace is the constantly drunk thing. Hope he passes out in a drunken stupor before he can actually do anything

4. Spy

Yes, Spy is a twink. Moreso than even Scout honestly. Yes, like Sniper, Spy's not exactly meant to be in a direct fight either. Yes, he's French. However: UNLIKE Sniper, being up close is Spy's ideal range, and he's a trained assassin. Do you really think he doesn't know how to kill you without his knife. Or that the guy who's entire job is to stab you while you're not looking is worried about fighting fair. As soon as you lose sight of him - which is probably going to be easy even without the Invisi-Watch - you're fucked. He's already behind you. Spy's only in fourth place because he's the least likely to get in a fistfight period.

3. Pyro

(NOTE: This section has a page from one of the comics featuring blood and a dead animal to make a point. If you're sensitive to that kind of thing skip ahead)

Now, I know what you're thinking - "okay the Pyro's nuts, sure, but this high up? they have no weapons and they see the world as sunshine and rainbows! surely they can be reasoned with right?" And to that, I say: sure, they see the world as a colorful fantasy candyland and their flames as pretty rainbows. However!

Bold of you to assume they don't know what they're doing. It does not matter if they have no weapons if you are up against Pyro you're fucked. Especially since they are one of the two mercs I can see starting the fight unprovoked for shits and giggles. Pyro cut off Soldier's hand in a car ride they have no sense of proportional retribution. Your only, very slim hope is that you find something flammable and something to light it on fire and use the ensuing flame to distract Pyro long enough to get out of there. And that has the caveat of "pray Pyro doesn't light you on fire first"

2. Heavy

I don't think I need to explain this one. Heavy speaks for himself. Even the people who voted Heavy in that poll seem to be operating on the logic of "maybe I can convince him to be nicies to me" rather than actually beating him in a fight, at least going off the tags. If you're up against Heavy, you're fucked.

1. Soldier

Yeah there's a reason Soldier had no votes for those first few hours. A master fears not the expert but the guy who has no idea what the fuck he's doing, and by god does no one know what Soldier is doing at any given point, especially Soldier. You cannot reason with him. You cannot predict him. Tricking him is easy but has a high chance of backfiring in a way that kills you regardless. His signature move is instantly snapping your neck. If you're up against Soldier you're fucked

Through Time and Lies

Thank you @mangoshorthand for helping develop this idea. This is a little dabble of an alternate version of the Umbrella Academy Season 4. This is my first time writing anything like this, so sorry if it's bad. I just hated what really happened between Five and Lila in the actual season.

The acrid stench of ash and decay hung heavy in the air, a constant reminder of the wasteland I'd called home for the past six years. My fingers tightened around the worn grip of my shotgun as I surveyed the desolate landscape, always on guard for any threat. That's when I saw them—two figures materializing out of thin air, one of them stumbling and clearly injured.

My blood ran cold as I recognized the face of the man. It was... me. An older, more haggard version, but undeniably me. Before I could process this mindfuck of a situation, instinct took over. I raised my gun and fired without hesitation, the crack of the shot echoing across the barren terrain.

The other me crumpled to the ground, a look of shock frozen on his face. The woman accompanying him—dark-haired, wild-eyed—let out a strangled cry and dropped to her knees beside him.

"Five! No, no, no!" she wailed, cradling his head in her lap. Her eyes, filled with tears and desperation, snapped up to meet mine. "Please," she begged, "don't shoot, you trigger happy little squit. You don't understand—"

I cut her off, my voice cold and steady. "I understand perfectly. You brought another version of me here, and now he's dead. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't put a bullet in your head too."

The woman—Lila, she'd called herself earlier—took a shaky breath. "Because I can help you see your family again. To get out of this hellhole."

I scoffed. "And why the fuck should I believe anything you say?"

"Because I know things," she insisted. "Things only you would know. I was Diego's wife in another timeline. I knew you—the other you. And damn, it would just be your luck you'd die at your own hand."

I raised an eyebrow, unimpressed. "You think dropping Diego's name is gonna make me trust you? Try again, sweetheart."

Lila's eyes narrowed, a hint of her own fire showing through the grief. "Fine. You want proof? Dolores."

The name hit me like a punch to the gut. Dolores. My companion, my confidante, the only thing keeping me sane in this godforsaken wasteland. How the hell could she know about Dolores?

I lowered the gun slightly, but kept it trained on her. "Talk," I growled.

Lila's story poured out in a frantic, disjointed mess. Time travel, the Commission, apocalypses—plural. My family, all grown up, with their own lives and problems. It was too much to take in, too fantastical to believe. And yet... the proof was lying dead at my feet.

"So let me get this straight," I interrupted, my head spinning. "You want me to pretend to be him?" I gestured to the corpse with my gun. "To what, save the fucking world?"

Lila nodded, a glimmer of hope in her eyes. "It's the only way. Please, Five. I know it's asking a lot, but—"

I cut her off with a bitter laugh. "Asking a lot? You're asking me to lie to my family, to pretend to be someone I'm not. To step into the shoes of a man who's apparently fucked up time itself multiple times over."

"But you'll get to see them again," Lila pressed. "Isn't that worth it?"

I fell silent, considering. Six years of isolation, of wondering if I'd ever see another living soul again, let alone my siblings. The chance to go back, to be with them... It was everything I'd dreamed of. Even if they hated me—well, the other me.

"Fuck it," I muttered, holstering my gun. "I'm in. But if this goes sideways, I'm putting a bullet in you first. Got it?"

Lila nodded, relief washing over her face. "Deal."

I stared at my reflection in the mirror, adjusting the tie of the perfectly tailored suit Lila had procured for me. It felt strange, constricting after years of scavenged clothes and whatever I could cobble together.

"You're fucking crazy, you know that?" I muttered to myself, running a hand through my hair.

Lila appeared in the doorway behind me, her arms crossed. "Crazy got us this far, didn't it?" she smirked.

I turned to face her, my eyes narrowing. "This plan of yours is insane. You realize that, right? There's no way in hell they're going to buy this."

She shrugged, that infuriating smugness still plastered across her face. "They will if you sell it. Come on, Five. Don't tell me you're chickening out now. Don't you want to see your family again?"

I clenched my jaw, fighting the urge to snap at her. Of course I wanted to see them. It was all I'd thought about for six fucking years. But this? This felt wrong.

"They're going to hate me," I muttered. "Or, well, hate who they think I am."

Lila's expression softened slightly. "Maybe. But isn't it worth it? To see them again, even if they don't know it's really you?"

I turned back to the mirror, straightening my jacket. She was right, damn her. I'd endure anything to see my siblings again, even their hatred.

"Let's get this shitshow on the road," I growled, pushing past her and out of the room.

The reunion was... intense, to say the least. Seeing them all grown up, changed in ways I couldn't have imagined, it was almost too much. Luther, no longer the awkward, bumbling kid I remembered, but a leader. Diego, still a hothead, but with a newfound respect that caught me off guard. Allison, confident and powerful in ways that went beyond her rumors.

And Viktor. Jesus Christ, Viktor. The quiet, timid kid I'd left behind was gone, replaced by someone strong, assured, with powers that made my spatial jumps look like child's play. I couldn't have been prouder if I tried.

They all looked at me with a mix of wariness and resentment, clearly expecting the worst. It stung, but I swallowed it down. This wasn't about me. It was about them.

"Well," I drawled, falling into the persona Lila had coached me on, "looks like the gang's all here. Ready to save the world... again?"

Diego scoffed. "Oh, now you want to work as a team? That's rich coming from you, Five."

I bit back the urge to defend myself, to explain that I wasn't who they thought I was. Instead, I just smirked. "What can I say? I'm full of surprises."

As we delved into the latest apocalyptic threat—because of-fucking-course there was another one—I found myself marveling at how they'd all grown. Their abilities, their teamwork, it was beyond anything I could have imagined.

When Viktor unleashed his powers, nearly leveling a building to stop a group of Commission agents, I couldn't help but grin. "Holy shit, V," I muttered under my breath. "You've come a long way from violin practice."

"What was that?" Allison asked, eyeing me suspiciously.

I schooled my features back into a neutral expression. "Nothing. Just thinking we might actually pull this off for once."

As the days wore on, the lies became harder to maintain. Every time they referenced some shared experience I knew nothing about, every bitter comment about past mistakes I hadn't made, it was like a knife twisting in my gut.

But then I'd see Luther take charge of a situation with a confidence he'd never had as a kid. Or watch Diego and Allison move in perfect sync, covering each other's backs without a word. Or catch Viktor's small, proud smile after mastering a new aspect of his powers.

And I knew, deep in my bones, that it was worth it. Every lie, every moment of self-doubt, every flash of hatred in their eyes—it was all worth it to see them like this. To know that somehow, despite everything, they'd all become the heroes I always knew they could be.

One night, as we regrouped after a particularly harrowing battle, Lila and I blinked up to the roof and just sat there. I did this when I was a kid too. Blinked to the top of the Academy to escape dad.

The guilt was written all over Lila's face.

"They don't know," she whispered, her eyes darting to where the others were gathered. "They still think you're him."

I nodded, a small, sad smile tugging at my lips. "I know. And it's okay. Let them think that."

Lila frowned. "But... don't you want them to know the truth? That you're not the one who—"

"Who fucked everything up?" I finished for her. "Who dragged them through time and space, who got them stuck in the wrong timeline over and over?" I shook my head. "No. If this is what it takes for me to see them like this—strong, united, better than we ever were as kids—then I'll take it. I'll be the villain in their story if it means I get to see them shine."

Lila's eyes filled with a mix of admiration and pity. "You really love them, don't you?"

I snorted. "They're my family. Of course I fucking love them. Even if they hate me."

As we turned back to join the others, I caught sight of Viktor laughing at something Allison had said, his whole face lit up with joy. And in that moment, I knew I'd made the right choice.

They might never know the truth. They might always see me as the asshole who ruined their lives. But I got to see them like this—happy, powerful, united. And that? That was worth everything.

Even if it meant being hated.

"What is wrong with that man?!" and then add Louis actually trying to fix Lestat by having him only kill evil people.

4. False God - POV Louis and Lestat We were crazy to think, crazy to think that this could work. But we might just get away with it, religion's in your lips, even if it's a false god. I know heaven's a thing, I go there when I touch you. Honey, hell is when I fight with you. I can't talk to you when you're like this, staring out the window like I'm not your favorite town. Are you really gonna talk about timing in times like these? And let all your damage damage me? And carry your baggage up my street? And make me your future history? Louis trying to continue his life as it was before he was turned but finding it difficult in a multitude of ways. "I almost ate my nephew, Lestat!" You've come a long way, open the blinds, let me see your face. You wouldn't be the first renegade to need somebody. "You are a challenge every sunset, Saint Louis. And I'd have it no other way." Ep 1x3 You fire off missiles 'cause you hate yourself, but do you know you're demolishing me? "This is not a life!" "That's because you TOOK my life!" Lestat being ignored by Louis who is only staying inside and reading his books since Claudia left. Ep 1x5 (with additional 2x7 context) You know there's many different ways that you can kill the one you love? The slowest way is never loving them enough. "If every word coming out of his mouth is vitriol or disinterest for seven years... you don't want to. You still hope that he'll emerge out of his melancholy. That he'll love you like you love him." But in the meantime you cheat. I bent the truth too far tonight, I was dancing around, dancing around it. Lestat keeping up his affair with Antoinette after he had promised to end it. You said I was freeloading. Not related to the show but in the original novel Louis keeps saying how Lestat was exploiting him for his money.

8. My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys - POV Lestat Ep 1x5 The Fight™️ Oh, here we go again. The voices in his head called the rain to end our days of wild. The "Claudia has left" depression spanning for several years. Lestat hoping he'll "emerge out of his melancholy" but also just being sick of it because he wants to bejeweled. But first, pull the string and I'll tell you that he runs because he loves me. "I have waited, Louis. I have patiently waited in vain for you to love me, as I love you." Ep 2x7 (still The Fight™️) He saw forever so he smashed it up. Hehe, Slam Reid his face into the coffin.

9. The Great War - POV Louis and Lestat Ep 1x5 The Fight™️ 2: Electric Boogaloo I drew curtains closed, drank my poison all alone. Louis ignoring Lestat and going deeper into his depression. And maybe it was egos swinging, maybe it was her. "A thousand nights of sulking, and the first sight of her, you are just gonna up and leave me?!" Ep 2x7 (still The Fight™️) Your finger on my hairpin triggers. "A word of context for our jury. The single worst thing that a vampire can feel is loneliness." In terms of enjoyability, and attempting not to have too much character bias, not in any order. Boldened are absolute favourites!

-Daydream & Lionheart are my all time favourite pieces of ansta writing, with an emphasis on Daydream. Lionheart has at least three translations online. I'm planning on re-reading two of those again just to compare them. I love an unreliable narrator. Sena really has been Leo's living unreliable narrator the whole time he's known him, hasn't he? Blackbird was good on a writing standpoint, but felt like a desperate attempt to get people to like and be normal about Wataru & Eichi, as well as telling us what we already know. At the same time, it did provide more insight into their mentalities, at least. Clown, Crown or whatever it was called was really nice also. - Both original main stories which I think every average ansta fan should read regardless of their length, although, the ! one is certainly of it's time. EnBasic: Element, Marionette, Crossroad, Meteor Impact, Checkmate, (Sorry for no Rocket Show! we're gonna read it for my friend's birthday!) Showtime, Dragon Fruit (Note to all viewers: don't read Marionette alone & think you know anything about Ex-valkyrie. Fun fact, I watched the anime before reading anything. My first story after the main story was Easter Night :-) though already interested in them, it cemented my love for switchvalk & their parallels in a square or even a more convoluted shape, each pointing at each other. I really recommend people read 3 stars of their favourites, you can find them with ease if you look them up, especially if they're from popular units. There's a lot of Really Good stories I haven't read but know all the context to and just have to get to, and good stories I have read that I just haven't mentioned whether purposefully because I don't think about them that much or because they slipped out of my mind (or blended together, or I technically didn't read them and just know everything that occurs or read a livetweet thread and I don't want to say a story is my favourite when I haven't read it in full even if stuff I really love comes from it, or I have mixed feelings that are too mixed for it to be a favourite).

I really adore Ansta's writing in spite of all of it's flaws, that's why it's not easy for me to give a simple response. Thank you for the question, sweet thing!

What does a time jump of 1.5 years mean for Mike and Will?!?!

Hahaha, it's so fascinating thinking about how they're gonna pull this off, exactly. That's a LONG TIME in the formative years of teenagerdom. We're missing the entirety of sophomore year. I've seen three schools of thought for this one.

IDEA 1: Episode 1 - Mike and El have a moment where they break up by the end of the episode, since I really am pretty sure this episode will entirely be pre-1987 jump. I feel like it's going to be a full episode instead of just a small portion. It's a big ask to go from the end of season 4 to Hawkins in 1987. Possibly, we establish by the end of this that Mike and El are separating as she needs space and she's going into hiding.

IDEA 2: Time jump, Mike and El were unclear/together at the end of episode 1, time jump, then we see that they have broken up or slipped away from each other like we saw with Lucas and Max in season 4. I'm not sure the show would repeat this twice, though we know that sometimes they do repeat lines - but with a switch up! So I'm not sure. A tell not show situation.

IDEA 3: Mike and El are technically together in concept only. El's in hiding, they don't see each other or talk much, going through the motions, but then we see them have a conversation about where they stand, their friendship, etc.

I'm sure there are more IDEA 4, 5, 6... I can come up with. What ideas and timeline possibilities do you guys think? My mind can spin about a dozen others but these are common ones I've landed on listing. It's so damn complicated it drives me crazy.

WILL THOUGH it's so much, it's so sad. A lot of people say that he's going to have taken the time to have moved on from Mike because he's lost all hope - that's so unrealistic, he's not going to move on from that boy. He's in love and that love is painful. I think he's definitely lost most hope, but that doesn't mean he's not going to drive himself crazy with pining and longing and hating himself for feeling the way he feels. It's just going to be worse than ever before, and Henry is going to capitalize on that to torment and torture the poor boy. All the while, the plot throwing Will into even more tension and confusion being with Mike all the time. I'm really starting to lean into him having lived at the Wheeler's for a significant amount of time.

They are so entwined. What life experiences have we missed from them? That's a lot of time. A lot of time to grieve, to rekindle friendships. Are the boys still playing DnD? Have they reunited as the Party? They've got lives to live - they can't have been just plotting vengeance and living on the edge all that time. We are missing 2 summers!! That's a lot of downtime away from school. The Mike and El factor is incredibly frustrating - in the way that there are sooooo many ways it can go and I honestly cannot settle on how I feel plot-wise. A YEAR AND A HALF is such a significant span of time for every element of the show.

AND HOW DOES THE PAINTING FIGURE IN TO ALL THIS?? HOW DID I FORGET ABOUT THE PAINTING?? Wow it's getting wild out here, I literally forgot about this very important aspect. Gotta move on. Continuously confused and insane.

You walk through the park silently, side by side. The small distance between you feeling even larger.

Oikawa’s gaze occasionally darts over to you. The sight of your expression, clearly distracted in your own head, inciting a pang in his chest. 

“You've been quiet this whole time…”

“Sorry,” you mutter, “just in my head I guess.”

“No, it's fine, I get it. You're probably thinking about Kageyama, right?” He tried to keep his tone neutral, but there was a hint of jealousy and bitterness creeping in.

“Yeah I just, god, I haven't seen him in like two years it's so weird I keep thinking one day I'll open my door and he'll be there y'know just standing on my porch.”

“I get that. You've missed him a lot, huh?”

“You have no idea,” you sigh as the two of you stop in front of your house, “Tobio is-” 

You are cut off by a voice behind you, smirk audible in the words.

“Tobio is what?”

Oikawa's eyes widened as he saw Kageyama step up behind you. His heart clenched.

Your eyes water almost instantly as his voice flows into your brain. You spin around so fast you thought you might fall down. 

“You- you’re… here.” 

You smile, tears spilling down your cheeks as you wrap him in a nearly suffocating hug.

Kageyama chuckled softly, his arms instinctively wrapped around your waist, holding you tightly against him. 

“Missed you too, dumbass.”

He buried his face in your neck, taking in the familiar scent of your perfume.

Oikawa scoffs from behind you.

“Uh why is he here?” Kageyama sneers, looking towards Oikawa.

“Our parents…,” you sigh, “they're making us get married for the sake of their stupid companies.”

Kageyama's expression quickly switched from curious to shocked. His jaw dropped open. He gaped at you for a few seconds before turning his gaze towards Oikawa.

“I can’t believe your parents would force you to marry him.”

“Our parents are merging the companies, and they think it would be a good idea for the heirs to get married as a show of good faith,” Oikawa spoke evenly, but his fists clenched at his sides in irritation.

You look between them, gauging their expressions before turning back to Kageyama.

“Tobio, you didn't get a hotel right? You're gonna stay with me?”

Kageyama's expression softens, and Oikawa’s jaw clenches almost audibly.

“Yeah, I assumed I'd be crashing at your place. I didn't have time to book a hotel or anything.”

“Perfect,” you smile up at him, pure adoration in your eyes, “I’m so glad you're back, Tobio.”

Kageyama lifted a hand to your face, running his thumb softly over your cheek. Even after so long apart, you fit against him just as perfectly as always. He wrapped an arm around you, pulling you even closer.

“I'm glad to be back, princess. Missed you like crazy.”

A smile spreads across your face at what he used to call you, feeling a sense of stability creep back into your life.

Kageyama could feel his heart skip a beat. It had been far too long since he had last seen you happy like this. He gave your waist a gentle squeeze, leaning in to press a kiss to the top of your head.

“There's that smile I missed so much.”

Oikawa's irritation was growing more apparent by the second. He crossed his arms over his chest, his expression darkening as he watched the two of you exchange affectionate gestures.

You turn to face Oikawa, barely even registering his exceedingly obvious anger.

“Toru, uhm, you can go home.”

Oikawa's jaw was still clenched tightly, but he managed to force a tight smile.

“Yeah, I should take off. Have fun with Prince Charming here,” he sneers, gritting his teeth.

He cast a quick, pointed glare at Kageyama before turning to leave, his hands shoved into his pockets.

Kageyama watched as Oikawa walked away, his smile growing as soon as he was out of sight. He turned his attention back to you, his expression softening.

“So, what do you want to do now, princess?”

“Make up for lost time.” You take his hand and pull him up the steps and into your house.

sorry for the radio silence guys i'm sure you missed me [<- already never online] i was on an overnight trip for band. we do a small one once every two years plus a major one to disney world every four. this time we went to cleveland, saw the rock and roll hall of fame, got a bit of time at the art museum, and then saw a concert. imo we spent way too much time at the rock museum (4 hours.......) and did not get nearly enough time for the art museum (2 hours....) especially for how huge it was. my group only got a good look at like 60% of the stuff there :( but the concert was really fun it was an orchestra performing final fantasy music. there were lots of cosplayers and pretentious nerds there but it was actually really cool. my jaw dropped when they started playing the honey bee song and strippers started showing up on screen and cloud danced with an effeminate scantily dressed man who then forced him to crossdress and wear a maid dress to do something...? bro they were playing all these videos on screen but there weren't any voices or anything to the videos the only audio was the band playing live. which was really cool but i did not understand anything that was going on i'm not a final fantasyer. it was really really cool though i had a lot of fun. a lot of people in my band were like making fun of it and how dorky the whole thing was since they didn't know anything about ff which like i don't either but damn i thought it was neat. and then today we went to an amusement park and i went on some scary rides. nothing super bad i hate hate hate huge drops but my friends bullied me into going on some fast roller coasters that just spin around a lot without doing any really steep drops and it was fun. i did get scared at the first hill we went up because i thought it was gonna be a drop and yelled a bit which is still kind of crazy because i rarely ever raise my voice significantly and now my voice is like blown out. someone said i sound like one of those tiktok thirst trap dudes that drop their voice an octave lower to try and sound sexy. i had a lot of fun. but i still have to finish this huge ass packet for apush that's due tomorrow....... bros.

Thoghts from watching the ATLA live action!

Episode 4:

Holy shit Iroh and Aang are cellmates this is such a fun scenario!! Gives some strong Crossroads of Destiny vibes, ngl. Also, the crytals look cool!!!

Oh I'm genuinely so glad they didn't just... Move on from Sai working for the Fire Nation, I was genuinely doubtful they were gonna adress it tbh! Now I just need a Sokka and Jet confrontation and I'll be happy, though, that isn't likely to happen unfortunately.

I really do like what they did with Sai and Sokka though- this kinda feels like him starting a pattern of trying to look for replacement father figures tbh, which really fits with how much more visibly he's fixated on being like Hakoda here. It's sad and sweet at the same time, and I'm really interested to see how they'll write Hakoda!

Fuck yes, spy Zuko!!!

Smh kid Bumi isn't crazy enough, is it really THAT hard to find just. A completely unhinged looking kid?? Nah obviously I'm joking, he's cute haha it obviously wouldn't have been possible to have the visual similarities we see in the og so just having his unique laugh to identify him by works!

Idk what was up with Iroh's writing in the first episodes, he felt really foreign to me but over time he genuinely finally starts feeling like Iroh so I'm glad they got into the groove with his writing! He's still a bit too open which feels weird, but he uses more veiled language now while doing it so it works better. Also? I heard they used Leaves From The Vine, but damn it still got me!!

Haha YES, this was genuinely a change I always wanted: Sokka and Katara in the tunnels instead of Aang and Katara!! Not for shipping reasons, because that's gross, but because I always felt it would've been real funny haha

Wait are they fr sending Iroh to face punishment? I was sure he was next to Aang as part of a White Lotus thing or just until Bumi heard he was there!! I'm guessing he... Still doesn't know? I'm guessing this whole thing is a spin on when Iroh gets taken from the hot springs, but Bumi being directly in charge only works if it's all a ploy or if he hasn't been informed that they have the Dragon of the West in captivity- which would be wild!! Unless he's busy constructing puzzles for Aang lmao idk

So like. Given that the siblings are going to the tunnels, Aang is meeting Bumi, and Zuko is rescuing Iroh... I guess we just drop the Jet plot until next season??? Man, what a bummer. That was too short and didn't even hit all the high point of meeting him in the original. Like, they honestly could've had him try to appear and try to atone by trying to help and getting rejected and yelled at, but instead he just confirms his evil plans and is never seen again? Like, literally, what did he even do here? Despite being on screen for longer, his betrayal somehow doesn't seem as impactful because there's no time for Katara to process it last episode, like. Again, I hope to god this is a thing she has to kinda wrestle with a lot next season- I also kinda hope Sokka somehow independently meets him with Aang again and doesn't realize that the guy from the cart is the same guy Katara talked about, and that these two get to have their own Jet disappointment because again!! So far taking Sokka out of the Jet plot is genuinely the biggest issue I have with this show. Katara's arc seems to be headed to the same place albeit in a very different pace, but this is something that would be INCREDIBLY hard to fix. Like? I get it, I understand that what Sokka learns in that episode doesn't have to happen there, but. It's genuinely one of my favorite episodes because of how both of the water tribe siblings get to learn something from interacting with this charming duplicitous guy, and taking out Sokka's growth kinda just? Leaves us with Katara getting betrayed while bottling it up (likely until either they meet again or until Zuko's actions remind her of it- it'll probably also be important with Hama), it kinda just becomes "Katara gets a crush on a bad boy and gets hurt" which? Idk it feels weird, it was presented differently here and she feels much less silly and willfully blind because for the longest time no one tells her to be wary of Jet but. I still don't like how ultimately Jet was just there to disappoint Katara and interact with literally no one else. I mean!! I love Jet, of course I too had a crush on him, he's iconic and important and of course he had to be a part of this, but. Truly, they minimized the hurt he causes so much that I just kinda feel like he might as well not have appeared with how little he ultimately impacted things, at least for right now. I'm really hoping he gets an expanded role next season that helps to make up for how much his appearance was minimized, or that we see this have a tangible impact on Katara, because as it stands... It was just kind of a disappointing cameo appearance rather than something that felt like it needed to be there. Anyway this is all more about last episode but I still held out a bit of hope for it to be resolved better so. To see that Sai and Teo get to face a bit of emotional fallout set up last episode because they get to further the plot, while Jet just vanishes... It sucks, and it hurts, and I hate it. Anyway, onwards, I guess!

Teo has genuinely been changed so much he straight up isn't the same character anymore, and it's... Strange. I don't really like it too much, tbh. He's like, EXTREMELY cynical and eager to fight, and it's such a strange change from a character whose entire purpose originally was to kind of mirror Aang and help nudge him along on his journey. I genuinely can't tell if they just thought that living in a city under constant threat rather than literally amongst the clouds would mean he would kind of have to be different, or if it was an attempt to make him cooler or whatever. Regardless, I don't like it, tbh he kinda pisses me off a bit? He's SO serious and angry all the time and it just. Feels weird when he only resembles his original counterpart through his name and use of a wheelchair. Everything else about him is nowhere to be seen! If you compare his situation to Katara, it might seem similar on the surface- except, Katara is a main character who clearly still has a character arc ahead of her (and also all of her defining traits are still there), while Teo shows up like twice. It's kinda vital that he isn't too complex and keeps his original personality because he doesn't have the same leeway to grow that a main character does, otherwise he risks just becoming someone else entirely... And that's what happened. The thoughtful and cheerful boy with an interest in Air Nomad culture is all but gone, replaced with yet another angry warrior, and? While I get how it's probably more likely for him to become the latter, I also very much miss and lament the loss of the former. Sai is very much the stronger adaptational character of the two, and he's the only one of the two to get to have a real impact on one of the Gaang. It... Sucks.

Oh, this Bumi has a very strange and uncomfortable vibe, so like... Perfect! He was always gonna be hard to translate to live action, and I saw a lot of people dislike how they portray him here, and I kind of get it? He's not very likeable, he feels like kind of a bad ruler and a bit cruel... And that actually tracks? I read the showrunner said he wanted to focus a bit more on how upset Bumi is about Aang disappearing and reappearing in his life, and that underlying anger absolutely comes through. Bumi is... Kind of scary, and as someone that has a rep for being The Crazy King or whatever, I feel like that perfectly fits!

Jet!!!! He's here!! Kinda feels like it might be a dream ngl, it just has that vibe? Or maybe that's just how happy I am to see they didn't abandon him haha. He's... Still only gonna interact with Katara though, isn't he? :(

Uh? So, I'm gonna have to be filled in on when Katara learned physical self defense. It was very cool, but it felt like nothing I've ever seen her to do before. Anyway real cool moment for Katara there overall, it was great! It in particular really stands out against the cartoon in the way she manifests her anger. She's like. Definitely angry here, and it's very clear she's also just once again tempering it and moving on- no time for this, no time for Jet, no time for fighting... And at some point all of those repressed feelings are gonna have to overflow. It was a very cool scene, but it was, once again, sorely lacking Sokka's presence. More than anything, I just. Wish for these two to meet independent of Katara and get to have their own clash. Honestly? I feel like they could potentially catch two birds with one stone by having the Gaang split up earlier next season, specifically, have Suki help them get to Ba Sing Se earlier so get to meet Jet or something. Idk, the idea isn't fully formed, but it definitely feels like the most likely point for them to get to meet and it would make me really happy for everyone to have a bit more interaction with Suki before she formally joins them in the last season. Like? Maybe Jet and Sokka meeting could be Sokka's story in a Tales of Ba Sing Se sort of episode? As much as I love the haiku club... It's almost certainly getting the chop- also, I heard that the biggest and most important plotpoint of that episode already gets revealed in this first season so? It's likely just not gonna happen, or if it does it might just be like, a bonus one for fun idk. Regardless that season has a lot of "filler" that can easily be dropped, and Jet and Sokka meeting feels to important to just. Never happen, and!! I want it so badly, fuck!!

Bumi is fr so pathetic, fucking no one likes his jokes but his the king and having people have to laugh this time is genuinely hilarious. It also makes everything so much more menacing!! I get why people didn't like what they did with him, but I think it's an interesting direction to go with his character and I think they handle it really well. If anything? Having to stick to some of the original characteristics and reusing the jokes really hurt his momentum imo

The Omashu story looks beautiful!! Ngl I don't really understand why they changed it to a lesbian couple? It literally changes nothing, their genders doesn't matter to the story, so I genuinely don't care one way or the other, it's just... A strange choice to make haha

The singing nomads are always fun, though in my ideal Secret Tunnel scenario they go in with Sokka and Katara and annoy the shit out of Sokka. Miss them already. Also, I do miss Dee Bradley Baker- just. In general, but also, can't help but think of him when I see these guys- it's his song after all!

Forgot to comment on Iroh taking the Lotus tile last episode, so I'm happy to see it back in action here! Do kinda wonder how June will track him in the last season without his smelly sandal though haha

Really cool scene with the rock candy!! Obviously the original way it's presented is off the table, and they instead made it into a really beautiful little action scene!

Ngl something about seeing Zuko pick up a White Lotus got me choked up a bit. The hesitation with Zuko between Aang and Iroh didn't really feel like that big a deal here given the different circumstances behind Iroh's capture, I mean? Obviously Zuko was never gonna abandon Iroh after he sacrificed himself, so not going after Aang here wasn't really that much of a sacrifice on his part in comparison, just... Basic decency to return the favor, which kinda lessened the impact and you might as well miss there was even a conflict with how little of the episode he spends thinking of Aang, but. I like it, it's sweet to see their connection here anyway. Definitely does feel like Zuko is a bit too close to redemption at all times during this season though, Iroh is being WAY too obvious about his true allegiances imo, but tbf... I doubt anyone could go into ATLA blind nowadays, and maybe making Iroh more transparent and Zuko more sympathetic is a way to later drop the shoe ever harder during Crossroads of Destiny- like, THAT'S how much of a wrong choice he makes there, it goes against his entire characterization thus far... But the bait Azula used was too alluring. Or something like that, idk, maybe it's just. Tough to write such a beloved character back into his worst version? Idk, I kinda get why people wish he was less obviously on a path to redemption but frankly? I think it's just an Iroh issue again, they really seem to struggle with writing him to appear silly or without depth as the first season kinda necessitates, and his unwavering support and pushing for sure make Zuko a lot less lost here. I wish he got to be a bit more, but again: this show was the first time in a long time, maybe ever, that ATLA managed to make me be afraid of Zuko, so. Idk. Mixed feelings- he's not all sugar here AT ALL, but he definitely still is a bit too much for this point. I genuinely do think that Iroh's ability to reach him and be straight to the point needed to be heavily nerfed tbh, I think that's the main issue with Zuko's appearing too sympathetic here

Okay, so. Genuinely not exaggerating here when I say: Sokka saying he has a hunch stole my breath away, made me choke up, and tears welled up in my eyes. Like! THAT'S how taken off guard I was with them bringing back my favorite underrated Sokka trait: his instincts. The time it took me to write this was enough for me to genuinely just start crying while thinking about it, like. Genuinely I'm so happy and relieved this managed to find its way into the show, I'm. A bit overwhelmed rn and I don't know that I can put my feelings about it into words rn so I'll be back when I have something else to say, for now: I am RIDICULOUSLY happy with this development, it means a lot to me personally.

Wait I'm immediately back: this is strange, right? The initial utter joy blinded me but this is like... The exact opposite of what Sokka initially does in this episode, this is kinda funny lmao

I think I can pretty confidently say by now that Sokka and Katara's relationship is my favorite part of this adaptation. They always bring out both the best and the worst in each other, their scenes are always bot fun and also just... Cathartic to me in a personal way because they always manage to hit everything that feels missing until they go at each other. It's genuinely perfect, I love them so much. Like? Yeah Ian Ousley is possibly a stinky liar, but he and Kiawentiio have a great rapport and work really well as the unique twists of their characters that this LA is going for. I really, really enjoy them.

Istg Sokka in the cave is just spitting out one pop culture reference after another and it's genuinely bizarre

So, Iroh was provoking that guy to let him take out his anger, right? That's genuinely the only way I can read that scene for it to make sense. Sympathizing with the guy wouldn't have helped, he wouldn't care that Iroh knows he was wrong and that he only realized it when he lost someone too, so he just let him vent by playing the bad guy ig? Idk what I think of that scene tbh- Iroh being a hated general is something that needed a bit more fleshing out for Zuko taking the throne to make sense, so I don't hate it, but. It was weird to see Iroh be so obstinate in the face of someone who was clearly hurting because of his actions. The expected Iroh move would have been some wise words any sympathy that leads to bonding and healing, and it felt SO weird that it just. Didn't happen, and yet... At the same time, I kinda got it, and I do really appreciate this scene, even if the characterization feels off in a way- which, tbh, most Iroh scenes do. It wasn't a bad one, it just felt really strange to keep expecting him to do something and for him to just... Not. Iroh is definitely both the same and yet feels really different and I just. I can't get used to him tbh.

The flashback mourning scene immediately after was also nice, although it was a bit funny how Dallas just looked exactly the same age when it should've been more than three years in the past. Once again Zuko is slightly too sympathetic too early, but at this point I kinda think that's just what they're going for- they're doubling down on showing him as misguided and wilfully blind rather than cruel, which is a realization you do come to during the first season of the original to be fair... It's just a lot less subtle about it here, with much less time where you just view Zuko as The Enemy. It's very clearly from very early on that this is also his journey, and as that gives me more Zuko... I don't even necessarily hate it lmao, it's just different. I think that so long as they keep being consistent about why Zuko is still refusing to "turn good" it can work really well, and ig with Azula coming early... They increased the pressure on him from both sides, which is actually kinda interesting and something i didn't realize until literally just now. Honestly I think half of the point of me writing these is just... To help me get my thoughts in order, to help me see the show for itself rather than just as a cut down version of the story, and honestly? So far it's actually working really well in terms of helping me come to terms and appreciating some of the weirder/bigger changes they make. Still the one unforgivable change is no Jet and Sokka confrontation- I'm glad they didn't entirely drop what Sokka learns there, but. I just love that episode so much that it being changed so severely really hurts in a way I can't reasonably reconcile. Everything they did and all the reasons for it makes sense, and it all works really well in the end but. It's still just a terrible personal loss haha

I do think that ultimately Katara was right and said something Sokka needed to hear (he's not his dad) and I don't like how it was brushed under the rug a bit but I guess he's not really ready to confront that quite yet- that'll probably come when he reunites with Hakoda, huh?

Oh my god it's happening again!!! Istg it feels like some characters just. Straight up accidentally exist in the wrong universe- Bumi and Kyoshi both chide Aang for traits he doesn't have here, and he never gets called out for the in the original. Genuinely it feels so bizarre, like these characters come from another world where what they're saying is true. More than ever this show feels like it was made by fans who loved the show so much they wanted to see it be better, and when given the opportunity they just kinda... Went ham on both fixing the flaws while also directly acknowledging and trying to fix them, except it doesn't make sense because they don't exist here. It's so disorienting and, frankly, super funny and personally validating to realize the writers also probably had screaming meltdowns over Aang being a bad main character, and feeling so strong about it that they just had to include it still. It feels like the biggest callout post possible, it's genuinely so funny, and as nonsensical as it is... I love it, and for me it makes the show feel like it was written by like mined people- I get it, y'all, I too would both fix and yell at Aang if given the opportunity! It's genuinely such a mood and so relatable of them, so even if it's kind of a mess... I love it, because I get it.

I think it's a really cute and fun twist to have the crystals not be the way, but rather, the badgermoles. It gives both aspects of the cave a chance to show up, and even though I do kinda wish we got to see a disgruntled Sokka strumming his way out of the cave... This was a really sweet resolution. Also, spending most of the time they're in the cave be in the dark and thus under the light of the crystal made for a much more visually interesting episode than it would be otherwise, while also being a nod to them originally being trapped in crystal in Aang's Bumi Adventure. Tbh THESE are two episodes that work great when separating the cast- Sokka and Katara literally did nothing in Bumi's episode, while Aang being there in Cave of Two Lovers did more harm than good in my humble opinion. As I thought I would, I like Sokka and Katara going through the cave together MUCH more- it allowed for a more organic conflict, had more potential for funny moments (that wasn't really utilized because for the most part this adaptation doesn't really do or seem to get comedy- I mean, the funny Bumi moments absolutely bombed here!), and just... Wasn't Kataang focused, which is always a plus!!

Ngl it's kinda embarrassing how much I cared about Sokka's instincts to the point that it made me THAT emotional- btw I don't like that it wasn't followed up on like originally, here it was just brought up and he turned out to be wrong which sucked a bit- unless the crystals were meant to lead them to the badgermole? Idk, wish this was a stronger through line because now he just looks like a fool- which the original episode made sure he wasn't, that was like, the whole point there!!

Genuinely WHERE was this Bumi in the original show,,,,, Anyway this Bumi fight kinda feels like the first cool earthbending we see, which. Ngl, checks out with the original lmao.

My god do I wish Katara and Sokka were able to actually do anything in the original episode with Bumi after seeing this, this was fantastic!!! I'm tearing up, genuinely, this was fantastic!! It really feels like what Aang could've become originally if he was challenged more. I really do appreciate and feel for Bumi here, and for once in a very long time.... I'm also rooting for Aang. That's genuinely not a small thing to accomplish for me! As much as I think what Bumi is saying here has merit, I also believe that this is an Aang that can learn to mediate and make the hard choices when he must- so long as he considers other perspectives, allows his friends to help him, and does the same for them in return. And for how distant Aang feels from Sokka and Katara right now? I believe they genuinely can and will grow closer to a degree they can be this for each other. This was an awesome moment and. Idk. Having genuine faith in Aang feels so foreign to me at this point, almost novel, and I hope to god they don't squander this later on. Watching this episode was actually so healing? Idk if it was just that it took me like, literal hours because I kept pausing to write a lot here so it felt like a long journey to get here, but. I'm really happy with where things ended up, generally!

Uhhh so. Zuko's lot in life is being on water, is it, Iroh? Lmao I know that's absolutely not what he meant but of course my brain IMMEDIATELY started barking "Zutara! Zutara? ZUTARA!" like a rabid dog- that is MY lot in life. Anyway I do think the two Iroh and Zuko scenes at the end here were probably the best ones of the two of them so far! And closing with Zuko having another "Aang vs Iroh" moment just to cement the message here was probably a wise choice especially given how brief the first one was. This one worked a lot better, and it was also really pretty visually!! Actually, for whatever reason I think this show generally looks the best when it's working with blue tones for whatever reason, and as this episode had a lot of them it was one I was constantly really impressed by visually! The green here was a bit hit or miss, but the blue scenes kinda always look really good!! Actually, Wolf Cove looked cool too, and it was pretty blue as well! Hmm. Something to try and pay attention to from now on and if I do a rewatch ig?

This episode honestly did a much better job at adapting two storylines simultaneously, and it was just... Overall better for the most part than the previous one. Bumi was a bit questionable in that he initally leaned too heavily on his original personality and gags rather than embrace this new version (ironically, the opposite of what they should've done with Teo), but for the most part I like the changes they made here! Iroh remains the shakiest and most immersion breaking part of this show- due to no fault of the actor, by the way, he does a good job, the writing is just really inconsistent with him- but if I ignore how uncanny and ooc at times he feels to me, I did generally like his scenes here and what they were meant to do. Genuinely don't know if Iroh is an issue for other people or if for some reason I'm just fixated on him feeling off tbh? Anyway Katara and Sokka were in top form this episode, as I came to expect from scenes that focus on their bond! It was definitely brought down a bit by having to resolve the weaker previous episode and its weird adapations of Jet, Sai and Teo right at the start but it managed to pick itself back up really well- and the Sokka and Katara fight put a nice little bow on it for now, so I'm relatively satisfied with how they wrapped it up. Still hope for a big Sokka and Jet fight though, and still don't really appreciate what they did with Teo. But the bulk of this episode was great- if not in execution, at least in the ideas it portrayed, so I'm happy enough with it tbh.

This post was, once again, a mess as it's just me writing down my thoughts as they occur to me with very minimal editing, if I bother with it at all, but. Yeah it's pretty funny that I'm constantly just lamenting how they remove something and then they still include it later haha, it's becoming kind of a pattern!

Your Farmer!Mingyu fic was my first fic of yours and I remember screenshotting and copypasting paragraphs, sending them over WhatsApp to my equally unhinged-over-Gyu Tumblr friend and both of us fucking screeching in voicenotes across different timezones (I'm in Australia, she's in the US) over the prose and having a visceral, collective daydream of supplanting Social Club Apple!Mingyu in your fic. Your reader hit way, WAY too close to home for both of us, despite us both being at different life stages, especially making us both realise why Gyu is our bias. You honestly captured him so perfectly. He will ALWAYS put forward love first, regardless of how badly people think they've treated him, even if things fall apart. He will still love first and that – fucking TEARS for me aka reader who is always self-sabotaging even if everything is already going well and UGH ARGH OARGH. I'm gonna go read it again THANK YOU FOR MAKING TIME IN YOUR INSANE LIFE TO WRITE IT. I know how hard it is to write fic (I haven't written anything on Tumblr in literally 4 goddamn years now) – so any time you GIVE to write is immeasurable!!! THANKS FOR EXISTING 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

As soon as I woke up I knew that today was not going to be a good day.

Waking up late was the first bad thing, since it caused me to miss breakfast.

I barely managed to make it to my first class on time, and then I remembered the quiz we had that day, so there's bad thing #2.

Bad thing #3 was forgetting a jacket when the weather forecast said it would rain.

And bad thing #4 was the migraine I had basically all day.

And as soon as the dreadful day was almost over, bad thing #5 began.

My migrane went away and was replaced with an unsteady feeling. Every step I took was wobbly. I felt really light-headed.

I still went around the house cleaning, cooking dinner, studying, yet this feeling wouldn't leave me.

Even once Kaiden got home hours later the feeling persisted.

"Hey.." Said Kaiden, his eyes studying me. "Are you alright? You look pale."

"Fine." I mumbled, even though I was clearly not fine. "You can go take a shower.. I'll clean up a bit."

I forced my body through cleaning up the kitchen even with the feeling that I was going to fall over.

Once the kitchen was clean I finally accepted that I wasn't ok in the slithtest, but by then it was too late.

As I walked into the living room to sit for a bit, everything started spinning like some weird fair ride.

My vision was blurred with black spots and my body went limp. I found that lost consciousness before I even hit the floor..

I slowly felt myself coming to my senses, my ears picking up the sound of a muffled voice.

"-can you hear me?"

I groan escaped my lips and I brought my arms up to cover my eyes.

Since when were the lights so damn.. bright?

"Oh thank god, I was about to call an ambulance." I heard Kaiden sigh in relief.

"Are you crazy..?" I groan. "The last thing I need is.. a bunch of needles in me as I lay in a hospital bed.."

"Yeah yeah.." He mumbles.

I open my eyes slightly to see his concerned face staring at me.

"Ok Karyme.. What the hell happened?" He asks.

I stare at him blanky.

"Nothin'.."

He sighs into his hands like a disappointed father.

"What do you mean nothing.? Passing out is not nothing."

I blink my eyes at him.

"Nothin'.. serious.. I pass out all the time.."

He looks at me with a 'why are you like this?' look.

"Yes.. I know that, but you never pass out like this. Something's clearly wrong."

I groan again and shut my eyes.

"Calm down Grammy Nominee.."

A confused "eh" sound is all I hear before another loud sigh.

"Geez.. You really are out of it, huh?"

I cover my ears.

"Shut up.. Stop screaming.."

I earn yet another sigh from Kaiden.

"No one is screaming- you know what.. Just go back to sleep. It'll make you feel better."

I snort as his tone.

"Okay dad.."

He huffs in offence at my teasing.

"Call me dad again and we're gonna have issues."

I open my eyes to look at him and put my hand up to cover his mouth.

"Shhhhhh, I'm sleeping." I say as I close my eyes and uncover his mouth.

He sighs for the millionth time.

"Ugh.. What am I gonna do with you..?"

I find myself falling back asleep before I could give a snarky comeback.

I just don't understand larries, they're going crazy because in the times interview it said something about JC telling louis not to disappear on him. Now they're all celebrating and excited saying that harry's 'satellite' and louis' 'holding on to heartache' songs are responding to each other, and I'm just here reading the lyrics to both songs and they don't sound hopeful to me and it sounds like a really messed up relationship that has or will probably lead to a break up unless communication issues are fixed. Meanwhile Larries think it's so romantic, and of course they've never broken up. It just amazes me that the songs clearly point to a messed up relationship and they just ignore it and say they've never broken up, never slept with anyone else etc. I even saw someone say they think they broke up for 2 years but they didn't sleep with anyone else in that time. I just lose faith in humanity.

YEAH, I'm feelin' this kinda way, too, especially as someone did the whole satellite/holding on to heartache lyric drop in my inbox, and I'm thinking, mannnn, I'm gonna suggest you take another spin through the satellite/boyfriends/love of my life triumvirate if we're gonna play this game, as well as miss you/always you/lucky again, and about 10 other songs between the 2 of them across 4 albums. A quick lurk tells me the hashtag they never broke up crowd is still goin' strong, though, so just proof that we all live by our own stories, eh?

it was the 14th of October and that t-shirt off your shoulder, I was drunk said I was sober and you said "yeah, right"

so the hockey guys are hosting some thing tonight at one of the houses and Ethan invited me to go with him. he did use Stella as bait to get me there but I did want to be there.

he said it was a casual thing so I'm just in sweats. there were drinks being passed around and so Ethan and I both had a few. drunk, tipsy, or sober, Ethan makes me 10 times safer than my ex ever did. although, Ethan is trying to convince me that he's sober right now.

"I'm totally sober bells."

"yeah, right"

"I am."

I playfully roll my eyes at him and let him pull me into him closely smiling the whole time.

whoa and I tried to guess your middle name, for thirty minutes bet we played that game

"ok ok, what's your middle name bells?

"I'm not telling you. Stella won't either."

"can you at least let me try to guess it?"

"fine." he spends the next half an hour guessing my middle name and is unsuccessful. his attempt was really cute though. even though we're surrounded by his teammates and all of his friends, he's not making me feel left out or forgotten and is including me in everything.

Ethan gets me some sort margarita looking thing that he said Stella made. I smile and accept graciously. I take a sip and it tastes like mangos! 

some random song came on and I sang along because I knew the words. I stayed close to Ethan the whole time and he kept making me laugh and smile. 

we were dancin' we were buzzin', takin' shots like it was nothin', did the runnin' man you loved it, yeah you laughed out loud, you brushed away your blonde hair, and you kissed me out of nowhere, I can still show you the spot, where everything went down

4 shots and 2 dances later, we ended up outside on the porch. at this point I had pulled my hair back to keep it out of my face. I smiled up at Ethan before going on my tip toes and kissing him. 

we both smile as we pull away. he leans back in to kiss me again. when he pulls away he has a smile on his face and this look of adoration in his eyes.

he says just barely above a whisper, "I think I'm gonna marry you someday."

I don't believe that. we aren't even dating. and we're freshman college, we are a long way away from marriage. he can see the disbelief in my eyes and says, "I know you don't believe me but I will. I think a good starting place would be asking you to be my girlfriend first. don't you think bells?"

he smiles and hugs me. he picks me up and spins me around before putting me back down and kissing me. he whispers against my lips, "I'm so glad I met you Bella."
