I'm bored and wanna talk, so let me ask a question: what's a show/movie/book/comic/game etc that really fascinated you? Spoiler talk is welcome here (as long as you give a warning for those who don't want them)

I'll start! A few days ago I watched the Truman show for the first time and I thought it was amazingly done! The "enemy faction" felt more suffocating than any other group I've seen a mc have to go against, and they're just a group of actors and a film crew! The fact that this has been Trumans whole life is so disturbing looking at it now, during the age of family vloggers where children grow up as microcelebrities with no personal space or ability to stop the filming until they're old enough to leave their home. So overall, very good film, very disturbing and effective and I would love to revisit it sometime in the future

(Hello!! I've been good! I've been a bit sick since the start of the new year but I've gotten better now~~ still a bit sniffily but I'm sure it'll go away soon..

But my assignments been submitted so now I have some free time!!

My friends and I been treating ourselves a little bit since finishing work so I'm off to the cinema to watch the newest Ghibli film!! I hope it's good (though it's Ghibli so I'm sure it is!)

I understand that it might be a bit difficult to ask while trying to follow a plot line so I will try and space out regular asks and plot driven asks to make sure that both types of asks get answered!

Usually with askblogs I like to separate them in events or arcs, 'cause it makes it a bit easier for people to figure out when a specific plot driven section starts and ends. I will go back to tag this current event (Dazai being here) as an easier way of tracking it?

I'm just happy people are willing to send in asks, I remember my days of begging for asks and interactions haha!)

I still mask because I can't avert my eyes from the obvious signs that it has never gone away since 2020. Like, I'm often not even good at noticing subtlety IRL, but these signs are not hard to find. People are in denial.

AND I still avoid eating in restaurants because eating is the one thing you have to take off your mask for, and I am not doing that in some indoor and enclosed environment where hundreds if not thousands of people have been unmasked that day alone.

@deep-aural-fixation Thank you! I love what a wide range there is to kidlit, so it's a lot of fun to try to find as much variety in it as possible! It's actually why I decided to tag posts according to decades -- I really love to see how styles and themes in children's books change from one decade to the next. 2020s books are different from 2000s books are different from 1970s books are different from 1920s books! And yet there are some things can connect them all, it's very cool.

and yeah, everyone has those certain books that they remember reading and they just hit differently ^^ I know in doing this I've come across some books where I can perfectly remember the classroom I was in when I read it, or the bookshelf at home I kept it on. That's another reason I try to find as many different types as possible, everyone's "special nostalgic books" are different from someone else's, so I hope that every so often people see a book that unlocks a memory for them

I was equally as distraught when the mod got taken down, especially since most of this content was previously hosted on twitter and therefore got WIPED from the internet after the creator's account was deleted. I'm very lucky to have found as much as I have so far, and I'm glad that you enjoy the work I do here! It's always nice to meet other people who share my love for these characters, especially after so long.
