I've been reading codywan fanfiction for a while now. But I have never watched Star Wars, so I know who some of the characters are because of exposure and some google searches. But I've just watched a TikTok, and...

I admit I have actually no idea what I thought he looked like now that I know the truth. BUT I'VE SEEN TIKTOKS WITH THIS MAN!! I think I had him as Palpatine? But I'm also pretty sure I know who Palpatine is? I'm not that confident anymore.

I think for some reason I pictured him as similar to Maul. I do not know why. He just seemed like the type. I'm kind of disappointed to be honest.

Tried to fit all my fic ideas on one page, but I still forgot some because they're like... scrawled on random pieces of paper all over my house/in different notebooks/ect. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I tried!

The little branchy-offy things are prequels/sequels of that particular series. Bleeped out things I thought might be spoiler-y to ongoing series. Things with * are super WIP-y titles because I dunno what to call them.

More ramblings under the cut! (Nothing spoilery for the ongoing series; just vague things!)

No Heroes Zone // - I have a lot more generalized worldbuilding, character notes, ect than actual stories. The story ideas are mostly vague/short... Though, I suppose I could stand to write some super short fics. - The exception is an angsty sonighty fic that's basically done, but I just have to fill in all the inbetween, connecty bits. And decide how sonighty-y I really want to go with it. That ship came outta nowhere, I tell ya. - NHZ is really mostly Tails (and Metal) angst, tho. The other day I was thinking about how he tries to latch onto Shadow and even Metal in the absence of having Sonic and was like "Wow, Tails, clingy much? What are you, Nine???" then I felt really bad. T-T; He just misses his brother...!

Kaleidoscope // - The name of this fic is based on an art piece I've been wanting to do for forever: A kaleidoscope of Tails/Nine/Mangey, looking at each other and seeing them each from their own perspective. Because that's the theme of the whole story, funky scifi weirdness aside. But uh, 1) didn't have a decent digital art program for a bit and 2) I'm not good enough at drawing the subtle differences in their appearances to really make it hit how I wanted. Also 3) Tails looks basically the same to all three of them, lmao. - "Mangey Remembers" is Mangey's backstory and "Loneliness*" is... Less of a backstory for Nine, more of a brief showcase of his character in general. Because we already know Nine's whole deal from canon. Same reason Tails doesn't have a backstory- he's supposed to be canon Tails. - "Starless Sky" and "Ruination*" are both poteeeential sequels, but I'm not set on doing them. Ruination would just be a short, noncanon "what if?" bad ending for the heck of it.

Someplace AU (Aquarius) // - Also halfway calling it Aquarius for now because I ended up continuing the first part of the story under that fic name.

- It was originally more focused on Sails, hence Someplace being a play on No Place. But now it's about equally Kit and Sails. I ended up getting SO MANY effing ideas for these dudes, man. ;w;

- "Hollow Existence*" isn't a specific story, but just a sprinkling of scenes/backstory bits that detail why Kit is the way he is. Mostly his relationship with Surge growing up.

- "Sails' Tales" is likewise a collection of random Sails backstory bits. I have a lot more specific/fleshed out things for him, though. BUDDY, did I have fun with the No Place lore. Also, his relationships with Catfish and Black Rose are so cute... ;A;

- The bits to the right are basically going to be chapters in Aquarius. They're vague enough not to be spoilery (other than the blipped ones...)

- "=D?" is a sequel that I'm very excited about. Probably shouldn't say much beyond that.

Everything Else // - CaveTails is a Journey to the Center of the Earth-esque silly, silly thing. That could maybe become a bit more serious? BAsically, I was thinking "Huh, kind of weird that my main kittails fic is with Sails. That'd be funny if I did ones with Nine and Mangey, too. Just for the lulz. Especially the Mangey one." This is the Mangey one. xD Except he's sort of like... Tails AND Mangey at the same time, character-wise? So? :? Also, potentially some wholesome Sonic+Tails moments because I weirdly haven't written any of those yet.

- "Kids" is just a continuation of that goofy Tails Doll+Cream oneshot. Just small ideas for another chapter or two. Cute friendship, fluff, and lots of comfort to make up for the hurt in the first chapter. :3;;

- "Alien*" is what it says on the tin. I have a couple different ideas for how it could go. One of them boots out Silver entirely and had Metal in his place. xD But I might have enough material to write an alien Silver AND alien Metal fic. We'll see whenever I get around to it. :3

- "Nine's Shadow*" is something I've wanted to write ever since I made that joke oc, Stales the Fox aka Zombie Tails variant from the Grim. Probably just a oneshot (or a few short chapters) fic that mostly focuses on Nine being "all alone" after the ending of Sonic Prime.

- "Why is Babies?*" is the second idea I had for a fic. It's just Shadow being awkward and not knowing how to look after a chunk of the main cast that are suddenly tots for unknown reasons. It's very lighthearted, comedic, and cute. Originally a Shadow+Metal fic until I learned more about Eclipse and just HAD to include him. Dude is literally a struggling single parent in canon, how could I not include him in a story about his brother going through something similar? xD Also, I might call this fic "Rascals" as a reference to that one Star Trek episode with a similar premise. Because! Star Trek. 8D

- "The Fifth Element" ... I have put off posting anything about this fic idea for so long because I'm EMBARRASSED IT'S SO STUPID AND CORNY DON'T LOOK AT ME,,, In case you're totally lost, the 1997 film of the same name is my. Favorite movie. So naturally, this was my first idea for a fic. It's so all-over-the-place tonally, though. Obviously, got a LOT of silly, especially the parts that follow the movie almost exactly. But I also added a lot of original bits that help flesh out the characters' relationships. The protag is Shadow, who is very, very soft and introspective in it. Which, like, how did that happen??? But I love it. Metal is his co-lead and is mostly goofy because he's a fish out of water. Sonic is VERY, VERY goofy like goddamn (he's Ruby Rod- if you know, you know). Then there's just the silliest shit ever like Silver. Silver is Shadow's cat. It's stupid, but it's also fun, and maybe even matters to the plot. You don't know. Blaze is the president. Dr. Starline, Surge, Eggman, and The End are in it. Tails has the smallest part of any of my fics, but I think I cast him well. I need to stop now or I never will. Don't look at me. xDD

But yeah, as I said, I forgot a lot of other ideas. A few more (still forgetting some, I'm sure): - "Creature from the Black Lagoon" ft. kittails - Steam Powered Giraffe-vibes 50's thing w/ Tails, Cream, and automatons of Kit, Surge, Metal, Belle, Gemerl, ect - Tails Doll trying to be a Real Boy(tm) - Kittails-focused folklore AU with Kit as a kelpie and Tails as a normal mobian. Bunch of other people as fae creatures and villagers, including Starline as the main villain. - Maybe a whispangle oneshot from the above au (Tangle is a mobian, Whisper is. basically a magic wolf? xD) - Knuckles/Tails role-swap

IT'S COMING!! I mean "we're streaming sometime in 2025" isn't exactly a whole lot to go on but. at least it's still happening?? No date tho so I'm kinda scared it won't be until like. A year from now. But IT'S COMING

Tho. In all honesty I have mixed feelings about S3 happening at all. I'm mostly excited for the fandom resurging, ngl, and I'm trying to be positive bc the original manga author was apparently involved with S3, but. It is Netflix. And they're out of original manga content for the adap, UNLESS they're running with Retry, and anyone who's looked at my AO3 page will know Arisu/Usagi isn't really my thing. I'm a bit afraid they'll retcon everyone back into the Borderlands and force them into a final Joker game, when manga-wise the Joker isn't at all a game master, and that they'll mess with everyone's character development in a way I'm not particularly into. I really really hope they don't go for an all-the-bad-guys-must-die kinda arc, because, y'know, gestures once again at my AO3.

Best case scenario for me if that they set S3 in the real world and do something with Kano figuring out the Borderlands and the characters trying to figure out what happened while they were dead. But it'd be a bit of a genre switch and I don't think Netflix would go there, so? Joker game. Probably. Fingers crossed they handle it well (or that I'm wrong). (or maybe a prequel type thing with the game masters from S1? I could see that working) (or have retry be a part of a real world storyline somehow) (I have ideas) (anyway if it sucks I'll write the fixits and HOPEFULLY there'll be more people to actually read 'em~!) "Excited for the extra time with you guys! Well.... I guess just 'you' today...." Miles wants to scream. 'Just you????' Come on, Miles, get it together! "I mean! Not 'just you' as in 'I don't want to hang out with you!' You know, I mean it like 'it's just us'," oh no that sounds too right! "Aaaagh! Look! What I mean is...." Miles takes a deep breath in an attempt to steady himself. It barely works.

Hobie is staring at him; amused, confused, and expectant.

Pav's and Gwen's portals close behind them, leaving earlier than usual, and now Miles is left alone with Hobie. It doesn't happen very often, but that was why Miles had planned this with them both earlier. He tries to hide his nerves as he takes off his mask and attempts to play dumb.

"They sure seemed in a rush. Wonder what's up with that," not that dumb!

"It happens," Hobie says with a shrug then pulling off their mask, "What about you? Usually busy with school work, innit?"

"All caught up, actually!" Pav had helped him get caught up two weeks ahead in case it took a while for a moment like this to come up. "Excited for the extra time with you guys! Well.... I guess just 'you' today...." Miles wants to scream. 'Just you????' Come on, Miles, get it together! "I mean! Not 'just you' as in 'I don't want to hang out with you!' You know, I mean it like 'it's just us'," oh no that sounds too right! "Aaaagh! Look! What I mean is...." Miles takes a deep breath in an attempt to steady himself. It barely works and he decides to commit to the truth.

He's already forgotten the number of this reality, too distracted by planning what to say in this moment, but its sunset is beautiful, so he feels it's a good enough place. Anyway, he's not sure he could handle coming up with more excuses for going somewhere else, and Hobie is staring at him; amused, confused, and expectant.

"Actually.... I asked them to leave early," Miles admits, "because I want to ask you something, but I'm not really sure how to ask it..." Hobie's expression softens and their eyes widen. They almost seem nervous as they shove their hands in their pockets.

"Oh yeah?" but their voice seems chill as ever, so maybe he's imagining things. "Well give it a go then." Miles bounces on his heels and closes his eyes as he focuses on his first words.

"When we first met, I thought you were the biggest jerk in the multiverse, but looking back at everything...." Miles' heart is pounding against his chest so hard that it's distracting. "You've been.... amazing ever since I first met you. Been rooting for me. Been looking out for me." Somehow the words bring a bit of relief. He manages to turn his bounce into a sway and to open his eyes, tho he can't bring his wandering gaze back to Hobie and he picks at the legs of his suit. "And I honestly can't imagine my life without you in it. So.... Look I know you don't like labels and this is for sure probably the wrong one but....!" He slams his eyes shut tight again, "Will you be my boyfriend!?" He's immediately embarrassed by how loudly he asked, but still, he opens his eyes again and finally forces himself to look at who he's been rambling at.

Miles has never seen Hobie this color before; pink and covered in scribbled hearts. That's good, right?

"Sunflower," the nickname makes Miles forget how to breathe for a moment. How long have they been thinking about calling him that?? "I'll take whatever labels you want to give us, so long as there's an 'us'." Miles is still stunned and processing their answer when they ask,

"Can I kiss you?" Miles considers his words for a second longer than he wishes he had, then quickly settles on a panicked,

"Of course!"

Still totally not smooth.... but Hobie doesn't seem to notice. They step closer, taking one hand out from a pocket to pull Miles' away from picking at his suit. He hadn't even noticed he was still doing it.

Distracted by attention being drawn to his picking, it takes him a moment to realize Hobie is holding his hand.

And he notices how their hand holding his is shaking.

So they are just as nervous as he is. So nervous they asked to kiss him and now are waiting to be kissed. Miles can barely handle how cute that is.

He uses his free hand to grab the back of Hobie's neck and pull them closer, taking in their awed expression before closing his eyes and letting his lips meet theirs. He feels Hobie's other hand rest on his waist, then gently pull him close....

Then shove him away with a shout!

"AH! Bleedin-!" They've turned pink and yellow.

"AHH!" Miles copies, jumping back before he realizes what happened.

He shocked them! And aren't those the colors they turn when they're angry?? Shit! He's already messed things up!

"I'm sorry!" he shouts, turning invisible. "I swear it was an accident! I'll focus better next time!" If there is a next time.... Please let there be a next time!

Hobie starts laughing. Miles just ruined their first kiss by shocking them and they're laughing!

"It's nothin, love," they say through the laughs.

Recovering from their amusement, they step forward and easily find Miles with one hand to pull him close again. The touch triggers them to turn back pink with the hearts. Their eyes are closed since they don't know where to look for him, but Miles can't stop staring at their smile. "You're amazing. I don't care if you shock me every time. I won't stop kissin you unless you ask me to."

Then why aren't they kissing him now?

Miles leans in again and kisses the heart scribbled across Hobie's lips. They tense for a moment, surprised, but relax into it quickly. While Miles focuses on not shocking them again, he also wills himself to turn back visible so they won't look like a weirdo kissing air.

He wraps his arms around Hobie's neck.

They wrap their arms around his waist.

They straighten their posture and it pulls Miles onto his toes but he doesn't mind.

He feels like he could stay here forever....

but he eventually notices the light though his eyelids fading as the sun sets, and supposes Hobie must have been serious when they said they'd never stop kissing him until he asked. He decides to make himself break the kiss.

The way Hobie is staring at him, gaze soft, lips slightly parted, illegible writing beginning to join the pink hearts, a barely readable cursive "sunflower" across their lips where the heart had been.... it makes Miles want to kiss them again so badly.

"I love you," Hobie says quietly.

"I love you too," Miles replies, then gives in and kisses them again.

Hello! Hope your day's going well!

I know your currently working on other pics but I had to come gush about your Starchild AU!!

I've been reading it over on Ao3 and love it so much! It is such a fun idea and an amazingly written AU. Zeddison is so incredibly cute here (and I thought canon Zeddison was really cute) I just love every interaction Zed has that leaves him breathless and so in love with A-ddison. He is so smitten and you can tell A-ddison feels the same in her own way.

The whole football scene with Zed going berserk gave me chills and genuine fear for what was going to happen. And the reunion between A-ddison and Missy? Beautiful, tear-inducing. And the relationships between Zed and his family and friends are amazing. Every character feels so accurate and real and the changes in the storyline without Addison being there are so well done I want to learn so much more about this version of Seabrook!

After catching up I came on here to reblog some of your beautiful art for the series (over on my side blog @auradon-bore-a-don ) and saw there are even more chapters on here! I'm so excited to read them but wanted to ask - is there a master list or group tag for the chapters? I really want to reblog them and catch up on the ones i haven't read yet so other people can find this amazing au!

Thoughts/wonderings on Dragon Age: The Missing #4, under a cut due to spoilers for The Missing -

I'm probably becoming a lil unhealthily obsessed with this building. what do we think it is? the Archon's Palace is the highest building in Minrathous (tho I guess not, as it has sewers and this is floating). A Circle? it has a similar shape to the logo for the Circle of Magi. the meeting place for the Magisterium senate, lording over everyone below from high above? whatever it is it looks cool and it must be important to be featured on the map. I wanna go there (๑*ᗜ*)

I love Neve Gallus' design. it's fresh and cool, and she just looks so cute and neat okay. also full of detail - the snake pattern on the headpiece, shoulder 'scales' and scales elsewhere, collar & jacket like one of those hooded snakes, snake-'tailcapped' footwear (rather than steel toe-capped), the serpent belt and of course most of all the beautiful snake design of her prosthetic limb. 10/10 character/costume design

I also liked this pair of illustrations, they had a nice 'bookend' feel and reminded me a lot of Lord of the Rings.

Other thoughts:

Minrathous looks kinda cyberpunk and (despite what Harding says in the opening panels) feels quite clean in this comic

Is that the person tailing them lurking in the doorway that Harding is catching sight of here?

These holes in Varric's ear seem to be new. What happened? Injury from the leopard attack?

confused a bit by the perspective flip in this issue. In issue 1, Varric was more like 'stop', and Harding was more like 'talk to him'. it's flipped around a bit here.

Varric smiled when he thought about Neve and then lit up when he saw her. she calls him an "old friend". I wonder how they met and how long they've known each other. something to do with varric's spy network?

This panel felt a bit meta hh.

When Neve says "Your friend is quite intense" is she referring to Solas or Harding?

Then we come to the two main things we learn in this issue:

We learn that Solas has been in Minrathous causing trouble. He's been attacking Venatori locations in the city, stealing artifacts from them and freeing elven slaves in the process, which has greatly angered the Venatori. The Venatori now want revenge and a "bunch of rebellious elves" are "causing trouble throughout the city, presumably in the name of the one who freed them". I wonder if the artifacts weaken the Veil, are connected to the idol somehow, or are simply sources of great power that Solas either needs for himself/his plans or that he simply thinks should be taken away from the Venatori so that they don't cause harm using them? Tevinter Nights showed agents of Fen'Harel seeking artifacts and referenced rumors of elven artifacts that strengthen the Veil, like the ones from DA:I. freeing folks also makes sense, "I am not a monster" and it's something he has a history of doing

In this issue we also learn that Neve works with a group called the Shadow Dragons, who have been trying to help the former slaves. indeed they're trying to help anyone who is held as slaves in Minrathous. this is our first time hearing about this new group. they make it their business to help those in need and Neve makes it her business to help them. I'm a bit ¿ about their name, just due to how it sounds, but it's exciting to learn about a new group/faction. Each issue of this DA:D prequel comic has shone a spotlight on a faction - Grey Wardens, Antivan Crows, the Veil Jumpers and the Shadow Dragons. two new, two old. it's a nice balance. and it brings to mind the common fan theory/speculation about the PC of DA:D having a different faction background depending on the player's choice. at the very least it feels like a way of saying 'these four groups [or characters from them] will feature in a significant way/be 'players on the board' in DA:D".

thinking about the Shadow Dragons' name in an in-world context, like thinking about why they may have chosen their name: dragons are emblematic of Tevinter. dragon imagery is everywhere there, dragons are a symbol of power and Tevinter heraldry shows a dragon. the Tevinter Imperium is a 'dragon', or several (metaphorically) - Magisters, ruling over the classes below. the "shadow dragons" feel like "the other side" of Tevinter, the side in shadow, the underside, the 'anti-Tevinter'. I'd guess that they are the "Tevinter you forgot", i.e. the Viper's faction. (and if you look at Tevinter heraldry, there is also a snake 'in opposition' to the dragon.) before Missing #4 I wondered if “the Tevinter you forgot” "means they are a group of folks who have fallen through the cracks in Tevinter society or who are the downtrodden in Tevinter society. is it some sort of uprising or anti-Magisterium movement?" - here we learn they're trying to help people Tevinter 'forgot' like slaves and former slaves. I also commented "from the story it sounds like the dark-clad card dealer is the Viper. the magister in the story is afraid of him and tries to claim that the Viper is just a tale, implying that the Viper’s name has become known as a sort of shadowy, stealthy urban legend in Minrathous and that it has a sort of bogeyman effect on magisters." Shadow indeed. Neve later comments that the Shadow Dragons are trying to "help anyone held as slaves in Minrathous". I think it was in the Dorian short story in Tevinter Nights that there's a reference to how there's now an anti-slavery movement in Tevinter. Is that the Shadow Dragons? you can see possible echoes of "the Tevinter you forgot" in later comic dialogue "The Shadow Dragons have vowed to help us restore our dignity. To get back the lives that were stolen from us by the Venatori. To make sure we don't have to scrabble in the dirt for food and warm", imo.

I wonder if Dorian, Mae and the Lucerni know anything about the Shadow Dragons? maybe they've done some work together?

and while the Viper/Viper's faction/the Shadow Dragons themselves didn't appear in issue 4, issue 4 still highlighted them, continuing the pattern I speculated about, of the DA Day short stories (Evka/Antoine/Wardens, Teia/Viago/Crows, Strife/Irelin/Veil Jumpers and Viper's faction/Shadow Dragons), one from each of those short stories per issue.

Varric is still having a bad time. also he was born in 9:1, and so if DA:D is set in 9:52, he's now over 50. from these comics, he's feeling old and tired. I don't expect that he'll be a companion in DA:D. more like an advisor (off-field), a contact or quest-giver, or the person that recruits us.

"But why? What did he get out of it? Surely, he wanted something in return" was an interesting line. because like on one hand "I am not a monster", he has a history of freeing people who were enslaved and he's shown as valuing freedom and not enjoying needless suffering. setting people free definitely is the only decent thing. but he's also smart and does things with purpose, always playing 4-D chess, and has been outwitting Varric and Harding at every turn throughout these comic issues, always one step ahead. it seems like a 'it's both' situation. like two birds, one stone. he would free people and it's the right thing to do, and he also gains from it strategically. Varric lampshades this in the final page: and it's three stones, actually. Solas freed people, dealt with the Venatori on his tail and slowed Varric/Harding down long enough to escape all in one move.

Also, at first I wondered if the brown-haired elf was sort've projecting his own perceptions on Solas (with the "his kin" lines). but look here. the leader of these Venatori has a pouch round their neck. the others don't, it's prominently placed and it's consistent on this Venatori in every panel they're in here. and where have we seen that before? around the neck of the Venatori stalker that saved Varric from the leopard in Issue 3. I think we're supposed to conclude that the ringleader of the Venatori that attack the elves in this issue is the Venatori person that's been tailing Varric and Harding all throughout these comic issues. the Venatori ringleader seems to recognize Varric in a later panel, with the "You!". They fight and Varric starts demanding answers from the Venatori leader. but then, just as he's about to get answers, the brown-haired elf intervenes and kills them at that very moment. they won't hurt their people anymore, and conveniently also (more than one purpose to things again..), now Varric and Harding won't get any answers. and also this:

another - not two, but - three stones. when the brown-haired elf kills the Venatori ringleader, A) preventing them from further harming his people and B) preventing them from giving any answers to Varric and Harding, C) the killing blow also cuts that pouch from their neck. a very specific thing to depict. presumably in the chaos of the Venatori leader's death (you can't see the elf's hands in the very next panel) the brown-haired elf has grabbed the pouch, and part of his goal all along was to take it. I think we're supposed to conclude that the pouch contained the crucious stone and that the brown-haired elf works for Solas. so the "You're too late, I already have the crucious stone" letter from issue 3 was a Solas fakeout, the Venatori at that point in time did in fact have the stone (having beaten Solas to the vault, and as-shown by the Venatori who saved Varric from the leopard having the pouch around their neck), and the events of issue 4 were part of Solas' plan to steal it/steal it back from them (and going by Neve's earlier dialogue, it's not the first artifact he's stolen from them). so two things here: one, Solas' 'three stones' are actually-actually four (free the slaves, deal with the Venatori on his tail, delay Varric/Harding long enough to escape, and steal the crucious stone artifact from the Venatori [my head hurts]). and two, the brown-haired elf was working for Solas after all. he'll give the pouch (and the contents, the stone) to Solas, "he set us, his kin, free" wasn't projection considering that he does work for him, and him being there in the alleyway when he was, with the information that he had, was part of Solas' plan to escape and get the stone. otherwise, it's pretty convenient that one of the former slaves at the place Neve's aware of where former slaves have been eating scraps, at the time when she takes Varric/Harding there, just happened to have helpful info about the meeting that Varric/Harding needed and also happened to kill the Venatori leader and in the process cut the pouch from their neck. idk if it means all the elves here were working for Solas or just the brownhaired one or the brownhaired one & the blond one, but yea. definitely the brownhaired elf is I think.

Neve fighting was cool: staff-less magic and then as a mage using a dagger or shortsword.

I am not sure that I agree with the premise of this article that BioWare retweeted, that The Missing is required reading before DA:D. I enjoyed issues 2 & 3 a lot! I was hoping for a bit more from the end of issue 4, perhaps a small Solas appearance like at the end of Dark Fortress or just a bit more insight into his plans or things in/the setup for DA:D. finishing on the Dread Wolf mural from the DA:D TGA 2020 trailer as a reminder was neat but the highlight reveal from these comics as a whole was definitely the new mural depicted in issue 3.

"He knows us too well, we need to find/use people he doesn't know" is the same conclusion that was reached at the end of Trespasser (and Harding was present for that conversation). I guess the meta irl reasons for The Missing are: A] since it'll be almost 10 years irl between games, to refresh folks about that conclusion and the fact that it will be a new PC and why it has to be 'someone he doesn't know', since most new players to the franchise at DA:D aren't going to buy years old DA:I and DLC and play til it the end of Trespasser B] fill some irl time C] do some marketing/advertizing and D] highlight these four groups/factions and introduce the two new ones (Veil Jumpers and Shadow Dragons) in advance of DA:D, and possibly highlight these specific characters (Strife, Teia, Evka etc) the same way (though I speculate those characters are more like DA:D 'contact' cameos rather than that they will be companions themselves). Certainly if I was Varric at the moment when Harding asks "So who are you thinking?" at the end here, after the events I had experienced and people & groups I had met in recent weeks, with those being fresh in my mind, I would be thinking about the Grey Wardens, the Antivan Crows, the Veil Jumpers and the Shadow Dragons, both as groups and terms of the mental list of people that I had recently met who Solas doesn't know. again it makes you think about the popular speculation that the DA:D PC will have the background of being from one of these groups. also, those 4 groups aren't ones which were referenced in Tevinter Nights as keeping an eye on Solas/as Solas having some info on them in turn (unlike some other groups like the Mortalitasi, the Executors, the Ben-Hassrath etc).

you said a good part of the treasure series is a completely separate storyline and it does make so much sense and is an interesting take but i have three questions: do you think it links or will link to the main storyline at some point? if it doesn't or won't why does cromer appear there? if it is really completely separate, why do you think they chose to tell a story they will never touch again?

in his lore explanation videos hongjoong said that halazia is not a separate universe but another pov of the story that was being told right before spin off, why take it as an alternate universe instead?

First of all, thank you so so much for reading my slideshow, I was excited to see your account (another loretiny to gather perspectives from!) so I'm honored to have you asking the big questions. I have a lot of thoughts so I'm gonna put them below a cut but hopefully, I can give satisfactory answers. :)

First, I want to clarify why I approached treasure as a separate story. When I was working on this, I tried to gather as many different theories and takes as I could on the timeline and story and such, but a problem I kept running into was that when I saw theories that included treasure as part of the larger story in its entirety, I had trouble being convinced. A lot of the theories had to stretch quite a bit to include it, and I felt like separating it made it much more cohesive, regardless of whether it was approached as just a prequel or a sequel, or anything like that. That being said, I've been keeping my eye out since then for ways they could be trying to tie it back in because I desperately WANT them to. If you had asked me a couple months ago, I probably would have told you that I am doing so and that I just haven't seen anything that convinces me yet. HOWEVER. After reading the Golden Hour Part 2 diaries, my mind started churning and I felt something click that connected treasure for the first time, something was convincing enough. I'm currently chugging through finals but this is actually a huge reason I'm planning to remake the slideshow and rework it, because I feel like the information we learn about the history of Halazia and the new artifact really puts things into perspective. Anyway ig long story short, yes I think it links in now and my theory is relatively manageable (although too long to summarize here) so I'd just keep an eye out for the slideshow update.

I think the simplest answer is, ironically, simplicity. I think initially I took what Hongjoong said to mean some sort of alternate story and then after fumbling around with it, I landed on sort of a similar conclusion as that of Treasure which is to say I had a lot of trouble fitting it in with the rest of the story, particularly because of the way it constantly insists upon distinguishing itself from the rest of their titles. This is another one that will get rewritten in the update, along with Answer I believe.

A big stretch theory that would be kind of interesting to consider would be to wonder if perhaps the moon in this series has always been a crescent and everything they've experienced in "World Z" has been a dream, and I think I've seen theories similar to this floating around so definitely something I've considered. I actually kind of hope this isn't the case because I think it's kind of a cop-out, but at the same time, it would fit into the general themes we've seen from the story so far. I would LOVE to hear your theories on this because I was really stumped by it. Ateez is very intentional about those sorts of details, and so it really makes me wonder, but I haven't been able to figure it out.

Finally, in terms of the sketches at the concerts, I think there's a lot of symbolism in them and I want to analyze them deeper. If the content of the dances doesn't make it into the slideshow, I'll make a post about it and tag you. Funnily enough, I went into the concert thinking "I will pay such close attention to the dances so I can analyze their place in the lore" and then I proceeded to be so awestruck that I forgot to think about it and lowkey blacked out so I don't really remember anything about it hahaha. I'm gonna look them up and revisit them in closer detail soon.

Sorry, this is so long, and sorry that some of them are kind of non-answers. There's still so much I don't quite understand so I appreciate you pushing me! This month marks 1 year of being an atiny so I think there will always be more for me to learn and discover. Please feel free to send more questions if you have them! I finished The Toll a few days ago and wow. It was cazy. I don't think I was expecting all of that.

I'm going to start saying that I loved Jerico. Jeri was so cool, and fun, and intelligent. And I'd like to see how the relationship between Grayson and Jeri could evolve!

I really like that Citra and Rowan will finally be happy together, but I'm sad that They didn't get the chance to say goodbye to Faraday. And I really liked the fact that he kinda continued to do his job in a different and less scary way. I hope he'll be happy in the future.

And finally, Goddards death!!! I was waiting for Rand to get fed up and do something to him, and she certainly didn't dissapoint. He desereved it tho. Diying once should have been enough.

The ending was really chaotic in a really cool way. It took me by surprise, and I'm really happy about that. Now I'm really curious about the founding scythes and I read somewher that there was going to be a prequel about them, so I'm raelly excited to read it. And I'll definitely be reading Gleanings as soon as possible. This has become one of my favourite series I read this year and I'll probably read more books by Neal Shusterman in the future because I really like the way he writes.

bc of the new upcoming animated show on yi ti called the golden empire & later the nine voyages on young corlys velaryon & also nymeria's 1000 ships prequel (all of which i'm super excited for btw lmao), i suspect that these may be the god-emperor dynasties of yi ti ranging from valyria to the present day:

Scarlet Emperors - perhaps the most infamous dynasty. They greatly expanded the empire and strengthened central power. Some were great statesmen, others ruthless but competent, and still others ruthless and incompetent. They moved the capital from Yin to Si Qo (which was left in ruins after their dynasty ended). Many members of the dynasty were wicked and cruel and practiced the dark arts and sorcery and cannibalism like Lo Tho, though Lo Doq ruled wisely and well for more than thirty years. He survived the numerous assassinations within the imperial family by supposedly pretending to be a lackwit struck with an affliction that made him jerk and stagger when he tried to walk limp and drools when he tried to speak while others believe that the true ruler was his formidable wife, Bathi Ma Lo. A famous historical drama recounts his unlikely rise to the throne. At the apex of its power, they conquered the large island of Leng and Great Moraq off the coast in the Jade Sea, and lands as far away as Qarth, Old Ghis and Asshai paid them tribute. They traded with Valyria. Azure Emperors - the current dynasty, who ruled from Yin in a palace larger than all of King's Landing. THOUGHTS on Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

I'll start with two statements regarding Anya Taylor Joy's casting and go from there.

I like her (I know some don't).

I agree she doesn't look like Charlize Theron (and we all know Charlize realized Furiosa as much as Miller did).

BUT a thing that struck me as soon as I heard she was cast was that she had that ethereal vibe of the Five (when I first saw them, the word 'mermaids' wouldn't leave my mind). I could see Anya playing a 'wife', which works with a backstory, I don't think any fan would like to watch play out on the screen...

Now let's try not to be too skeptical: she's tall like Furiosa, there's the probability she was more feminine as a girl living in a feminine world the Green Place of Many Mothers, she didn't need to be as muscular in her youth so she wasn't, etc.

Now. The trailer didn't manage to completely sell me the idea of Anya as Furiosa, but it eased some of my nerves. THE EYES! I saw a troll post on redit literally the day before the trailer dropped with close-ups of Theron and Joy (brown-eyed) captured "Furiosa eye color change?"

I've read the meta, I knew the eyes were carefully retouched in Fury Road in post-production, so I had hope. And seeing Anya's eyes in the trailer, I thought to myself, 'This is THE death stare. This is Furiosa'. And when she screamed all disheveled, I liked that part best. The one with her face covered, making the V8 symbol - second best.

I liked that she was shooting, I liked that cropped-out-seconds-rising-the-tension-rising-the-momentum Gorge Miller magic, I liked how over the top Lord Dementus was, it worked for me. Joe looked like Joe, I believe he didn't have any lines.

I definitely didn't like that head-touch with Tom Burke's character 😕 (sorry. He seems to have a lot of fans.)

And I didn't like the opening and closing shots. Can't quite place why: the opening one seemed like I'd already watched it before, also a bit too long, and the closing felt not authentic somehow. I wish she was more muscular. She just seems fragile in the classic Furiosa outfit.

Last roll of 'complains' before I start with the excitement-inducing points:

The over-explaining in the trailer itself, the big words with the exact number of years and all (like they could've converted into days, like they do in universe) but alas I suppose that's in order to bring in a wider audience. I hope it succeeds, tho!

Is a prequel the story I wanna visit - no. I'd like a movie about the Four - rebuilding, reforming, growing (green and as people), I want Max back even as I know it isn't like him to stay, and finally I want Theron and Hardy side by side, even as I know they wouldn't haha.

All of that is so unlikely. And there are so many spectacular novel-length fics about that. Hell, one such universe has been materializing in my mind for the past year. I almost don't want a movie about what comes after.

Still, I'd prefer a movie about the after rather than the before, but that's what's happening.

But I'm a nobody. The Creator of this world has a story he'd like to share, and it is centered around one of the most incredible characters in recent history, I think we're lucky to be able to witness that.

Now, onto the real excitement!

First of all, we're finally getting a Wasteland movie by Gorge Miller (edited by Margaret Sixel!!!)

I cannot stress this enough!

We're getting chases, and War Boys and shiny mutant-cars, and we're going to GasTown, people! To the Bullet Farm! Helloo, I'm so ready, so curious!

And we're going to the Green Place, y'all! I'm so excited about it. Like they had horses wtf? Mary Jo Bassa! Canon Vuvalini names! Traditions! Defense strategies, weapons, male Vuvalini maybe, crows, so much lore...

But I'm most excited about that Lady driver and the little girl. I'm soo ready for the stories of women in the Wasteland!

To sum up: I'm mostly hyped for the expansion of the world because I love it so much. Because we'd see another of Miller's visions.

And I trust the team behind it enough to know it won't be an unremarkable movie.

I know it won't be another Fury Road because there never will be.

I watched it way too late, and it's my dream to see it on the big screen, which wouldn't happen. So I'm grateful for a second chance to experience something like it. And I'm hoping the fandom will live again, because from my lurking I've found it to be as intricate and smart and fucking amazing as Fury Road itself is, and I'd like to be a part of it this time around :')

Korotan D Prequel (and changes to Korotan D)

So if you don't know what I'm going talking about, basically Korotan D is a Assassination Classroom story that takes place 3 years after Koro Sensei's death and is stated to be canon by Matsui. Now if your following me then you would my thoughts on it but for those who don't I personally think it's fine, even though I have problems with it I do think it's a fine story whitch if you really want more AC content you should read it also there's @blazardragon english translation of it.

But despite this I have problems with it heck I even made a post talking about how I would change it whitch if you want you can read it here

However despite already making changes to it I do have more ways on how I would change Korotan D and if your wondering why I would make another post talking changes to Korotan D it's because of the problems with it and those being the ending where Nagisa gets scoulded by everyone for no good reason and also because Korotan D felt like it was going to confirme ships specially since there are ship teases and the story felt like it was going to confirme atleast one ship but it didn't.

I know it's stupid but again this my opinion, anyways as you can see I'm going to do something a bit different, instead of just changing Korotan D I've decided to make a prequel for it and as for why, well it's because if I just changed Korotan D it would basically be the same post I already made just with a few changes and that's boring and not to meantion that even tough I'm changing somethings I want the changes to make sence whitch is why in my previouse post on the subject I made thos changes because I wanted it feel right and also fix the problems I have with Korotan D, whitch is why I decided to make a prequel to it as it would help with the changes I would make and also no the chagnes I'm refering are not the ones I made on my previouse post, but rather new changes I would make. Anyways with out further a do enjoy.

Korotan D prequel

The prequel will take place a years before Korotan D whitch would make it take place two years after Koro Sensei's death. Now as for the story it would be focussing on Nagisa and his parents how would try to make up for the makes they made, with his mom (Hiromi) trying to make up for the abuse she caused and his dad (Matsui) trying to make up for lost time. They would also be better towards each other with them reconnecting thos old feelings they had for each other.

As for Nagisa he would be kinda deppressed as he would miss his Class 3E classmates and the times they spent togheter with Koro Sensei, he would realize that Kayano has feelings for him when he remembered the times when he was with his classmates. He would have nightmares of Koro Sensei and his friends dying, him muredring Kayano who would saying "where were you", "I loved you, I really loved you".

However despite this Nagisa would talk and hang out with his parents and friends who have time whitch would make him almost forget those nightmares, but he would still miss his friends and he feels stupid for not realizing Kayano's feelings whitch he wants to make up for when he gets the chance to see her again.

Changes to Korotan D

Now that we have the prequel covered now it's time to see how it would change Korotan D.

When Class 3E is reunited Nagisa is more than happy to see everyone again and he wouldn't even care about Karma hight difference atleast not at first and he would excited but a bit nervouse to see Kayano again as he's planing on asking her out whitch would also make him jealouse when Kayano has to do a kiss scene with Jerome but luckily for Nagisa it didn't happen whitch made him relife.

When Karma asks him if he's bothered by Kayano woeking with Jerome like he did in chapter 4, at first Nagisa doesn't know what to say but he does ask Karma he could keep something a secret whitch Karma says he can whitch made Nagisa feel a bit mire relife and tells Karma the truth but little did he know that Kayano was listening.

Here's how I imagine it playing out:

Nagisa: The truth is I'm a bit anxiouse I don't want to Kayano kissing Jerome.

Karma: Oh really.

Nagisa: Yeah and well... I realized that... Kayano has feelings for me.

Karma: Really, huh it's about time you knew.

Nagisa: Wait you knew?

Karma: Of course I did infact I and Rio tryed to help Kayano to conffes and be real it was obviouse.

Nagisa: Yeah I guess it was and I was stupid realize... whitch is why I want to make up for it.

Karma: And how are you gonna do it if I may?

Nagisa: I-I... I'm planing on asking Kayano out on a date.

Kayano: WHAT!

Kayano's outburst made Nagisa turn in shock as he sees Kayano who's red as a tomato after hearing Nagisa say that.

Karma: Well I guess I'll leave you two alone.

Karma walks away leaving Nagisa and Kayano togheter.

Nagisa: Kayano. I'm sorry.

Kayano: For what?

Nagisa: For what I said and being an idiot.

Kayano: Don't say that it's fine it really is.

Nagisa: No it's not I just wanted to make up for not realzing how you felt and... I really wanted to go out with you.

Kayano: R-really.

Nagisa: That is if you want to-

Before he could finish he's sentence Kayano grabbed Nagisa by the coler and kissed him softly, after she pulled away form him Nagisa was a bit suprised.

Kayano: Does that answore your question?

Nagisa: Yeah.

So yeah that's I see it playing out. After that Nagisa and Kayano go out and Korotan D continues on as normal only with Nagisa and Kayano daiting. And finally once it was time to do the kiss scene Nagisa was anxiouse but Kayano and Karma assured him that he shouldn't worry about it whitch helped Nagisa and luckily just like in Korotan D the kiss scene doesn't happen and after Class 3E are togheter they look at the sunset with Nagisa and Kayano siting next to each other holding hands.

So yeah that's my Korotan D prequel and the changes to Korotan D. Now again if you don't like and disagree with my thoughts that's percetly fine just don't take it personal.

IVE HEARD SO MANY GOOD THINGS ABOUT THE PRIORY OF THE ORANGE TREE IVE BEEN MEANING TO READ IT FOR AGESSS dude I used to be the biggest reader ever but I haven't been able to finish a book since 2019 😭😭😭 I've been reading occasionally but I've been unable to finish

I might check out orange tho cause :000 I loveeee high fantasy novels so bad and if You like it then it must be super good:00

oh my god icy PLEASE read priory it's so good and I am screaming from the rooftops trying to get anyone I know to read it. I definitely get struggling to finish reading a book. like I said in my post I started reading Game of Thrones in February of 2023 and I didn't finish it till November 😭 that had nothing to do with the length bc priory is almost just as long and I finished it in 2-3 weeks. it was just because I was struggling to get my brain in a reading space

finally it just clicked though. I finished Game of Thrones, then I read She Who Became the Sun and that novel was so good I devoured it in like a week. after that I just kept going trying to read nonstop so I didn't lose my momentum. once you get back into it it becomes so much easier, you just gotta push through the initial struggle.

Priory didn't feel that long to me at all despite being over 225k words. it's such an engaging fantasy world. I will say, the story hops between 4 different POVs, all located in different parts of the world, and in the beginning I was really only invested in 2 of them. it took more time for me to get invested in the other 2, but they definitely hooked me eventually. also, if you like fictional religion, the religious worldbuilding in priory goes INSANE. it's a story heavily focused on fictional theology and the origins of the different religions present in the world and how they relate to one another, and where the myths came from + how they got warped over time. also, the 4 POVs are all so well connected and weave together so seamlessly, it was so satisfying when the plots started connecting to one another

I'm already so excited to read the prequel that got released this year just because I'm desperate for more of this world

So yes this Tuesday we went to see A Quiet Place: Day One The next chapter in this series and a Prequel hence the title I have to say I loved the original 2 movies and I was excited about this because you don't get much explanation from the first movie but you do get a glimpse of "Day One" in the the opening of the second movie its like maybe the first 15mins or so?

Now this one is a full movie of those events it doesn't take place in the same town as the original movie and doesn't follow the the Abbott family. This as you see in the trailers takes place in the middle of New York City. when the movie opens there is this interesting fact about the Decibel level of New York City and you just have to say "these people are fucked!!" lol but this movie pretty much is happening at the same time as the events in the flashback in Part 2.

The movie oddly starts out kinda a bright and cheerful in a way at least I thought so and once the creatures arrive and start tearing up shit the mood changes so quick.

Now you don't get to see the military fighting the creatures or anything like that you do hear it in the background and you get to see the aftermath of it but you don't actually see any of that happening. There is alot of intense moments and plenty of I would say close calls and some terrifying scenes I would think this is as scary as the other 2 it did get a couple of jumps out of me for sure.

but yeah you don't see any military action but there is plenty of action and running and screaming in this tho but it does have a very tight focus ans follows the character of Samira (played by Lupita Nyong'o) who is living in a Hospice center outside New York City I don't remember if they mentioned what she is dying form or not but she is terminally ill and her and other patient go on a day trip to the city to see a puppet show when the creatures arrive and after some frighting events she decides to set out across the city and meets up with Eric (played by Joseph Quinn) and the 2 form a friendship and help each other at this end of things.

Now personally I loved this movie I thought it was great at times its very edge of your seat and like I said its intense at times its like I said its similar to the first 2 it fits in perfectly with them.

visually also it is really cool the production design and camera work and of course the creatures and in this one they are everywhere!! they have like herds of them running down the streets and all over the buildings it is quite crazy! now one thing is I don't know if it was just me or were they bigger in this then the other movies? I don't know maybe I'm just remembering them smaller being I haven't watched the other movies in a while.

One other thing was when they go to Samira's apartment its just like she is still living there and I'm thinking if she has moved into hospice I would think she would have packed up her stuff and moved out of the apartment? but then I thought maybe she had someone else living there with her? it was just a bit strange I thought

also to put aside your worries Samira's cat survives but he had some close calls too lol but while watching this I'm like he is the most quiet cat EVER!! like there is no meow out of him once and you would think he would growl or hiss at the creatures nope there wasn't a peep out of him at all I felt that was kinda surprising in itself lol

but yeah in the end the movie was great it did have a bit of a sad ending I mean considering how you look at it I thought it was sad. but yeah the movie was great and if you loved the original 2 then you should love this one too.

Chapter 13 and 14 have me reeling omg ma'am! 😭 The fluff 💗 the twists😱 the smut 🥵 We been blessed! I love how Tamlin is finally getting his healing arc/found family/Lucien romance because the way you write our boy is so cuteeeee!!! The flashbacks were adorable, Lucien is so handsome and adorable and I need both of them to be happy and cherished forever. Goodbye SJM canon this is what's canon for me now!

Few questions tho, given that you've named all the other 'nameless' characters like the Vanserra family, Tamlin's family, and other secondary characters is there are a reason why you haven't named Rhysand's family? Like is it because you're looking for a fitting name or a story reason?

Also, given that the new Dusk Court is seemingly a mix of Greece and Japan do you have headcannons for the other courts? What would Spring, Autumn or Winter be?

Finally I can't wait to see more of the Njght Court rebellion. After the whole Dusk reveal I'm excited to see their reactions and maybe backstory, and them with the Valkyries because Gwyn and Lunara would be such a cute friendship. Also Grim is best boy I love this man he's had one scene and now I need a prequel we stan himbo dad warrior in this house! He's what Cassian should've been!

Glad to hear you cought the Greece/Japan mix invented for Dusk. Given that Night seems to be based on Greece along with Middle East at least from what little world building we were shown I thought it would be cool to have them have Greek influence due to Night's colonization but also retain the Japanese inspired culture and aesthetic that was theirs before their fall. I have some ideas for the other courts but these are just headcanons.
