Sukuna's expression in ch. 264
What I see in his face isn't just anger, it's trauma. Look how wide his eyes are. And his posture, too, bent over like a turtle for self-preservation. Sukuna looks frozen in place, deeply uncomfortable. Idk if I'm projecting but this looks like a freeze response to me (fight, flight, freeze, fawn).
He (like Yuuji in the page next to it) is in a body that isn't his own, it feels off, it feels wrong. But unlike Kusakabe's body, Yuuji's is a cage crafted specifically to contain Sukuna. He's already been so traumatized in his previous life, and it just keeps coming back over and over again. Genuinely this panel breaks my fucking heart. Everything else that I have to say has already been said so I'll stop here but, ughhhhbanxlanxbcuw

hi sorry if this has been asked before, but i've been looking on your faq page for aska regarding your gifs? especially how yo make them - I'd like to create some too but it's so complicated😅
i use photoshop (not paid for lmao i downloaded a version off here years ago from like. 2016) + kmplayer + if it's game gifs, i use nvidia shadowplay to record
i'll put this under a cut because of images/length
i open my footage in kmplayer, and use the frame extraction function over the timespan of the clip i want to gif. these are the settings for that:
normally for games, i record in 60fps and extract every 2nd frame, but sometimes i extract every frame and scroll through to delete duplicates made from stuttering etc. for everything else like movies/tv, i extract every frame. normally, i try to go for around 100 frames, but you can have more or less depending on your final gif size, and also you can always trim your gif down when you're in photoshop, but more frames = longer import time
then in photoshop i go to file > scripts > load files into stack and select all the frames i want to go into the gif i'm making
for the method i use, you need a version of photoshop with timeline animation, and make sure the timeline i displayed (window > animation)
now the next part has a lot of little steps, but they're fairly easy to get the hang of once you've done it enough. it's basically muscle memory for me now but i still do sometimes do things in the wrong order lmfao
anyway. the steps are as follows:
click 'create video timeline'
click the 3 little boxes in the bottom left
in the right menu, choose 'make frames from layers'
when thats loaded, open the menu again and choose 'reverse frames'
click the last frame and change from 5 seconds to no delay
make sure you choose 'forever' instead of 'once' in the bottom left
select all frames (you can select the last one, then scroll back to the first and shift click to select them all, or just click 'select all' in the menu, i'm just used to doing it the first way for some reason lmao)
in the right menu, choose 'convert to timeline'
then select all the layers (can use shift click again)
and finally go to filter > convert for smart filters
here's a very small shitty gif of the process for a visual aid (a gif of a gifmaking guide... wow)
now you have a gif, basically! but you still need to resize and sharpen and edit, etc. i've posted about some of the things i do before but not really in detail because i mess around every time and don't always do the same things. and you don't have to do much! just do whatever looks good to you :')
tumblr's gif dimensions are 540px width for wide gifs, 268px width for two small gifs, and three small gifs are 177px for the two outer gifs, 176px for the middle one (don't ask me why they did that)
once you're done with that, you can export the gif by going to file > export > save for web (legacy). these are usually my settings:
but i might change the colors to 264 if it's a smaller gif, or even to 64 if there are less colours and i can get away with it. for example in these gifs, i only used 64 colours since they were pretty brown/monochrome anyway, but something a lot more colourful would look terrible with 64 colours
the gif needs to be max 9.99MB, but if it goes over, you can always adjust it in the next step. once it's exported, i open it again
select all the frames and click the little arrow on one of the frames, then change the timing. i almost always use 0.05, but you can experiment with what you like the look of
then if the gif's over 9.99mb i just delete frames from the beginning and/or end until it's under the limit. then export it the same way as before (overwrite the old one or save it as a new file if you like) and you're done!
#ask#gif tutorial#kinda. i suck at explanations so maybe this isnt the best LOL#if you need me to clarify anything pls lmk! i always wanna help people learn new stuff if i can

Dear Sephiroth: (a letter to a fictional character, because why not) #264
Today ended up being a rest day for the most part. I think yesterday must have taken more out of me than I thought, because when I woke up this morning, I realized that it is Sunday, and the fact that it is Sunday means a couple things:
First, it means everyone is gonna be out doing their fun stuff or doing errands. I could have gone to the orchard, but it probably would have been fairly packed. The same holds true of that Cross-Eyed Owl place. The thought of being on crowded roads to get to crowded places full of people filled me with dread.
Second, it means that M and J are not working, which means I have an opportunity to do parallel play with them. Essentially, we do our own various activities in the same general vicinity of one another. I'm usually on my laptop, M is usually playing a video game or watching something on his iPad, and J is usually reading something about airplanes on his laptop. We tend to keep our ears fairly open to one another just in case one of us has a thought or a need. But yeah. Parallel play. It's a beautiful thing, and it's a slightly less possible thing when they're doing their tech jobs on their laptops.
So, I just stayed home. Sorta. J and I did go to the grocery store to get various things; J wants to try to make a garlic pudding, I guess? I'm curious about how that will turn out. And I wanted to try a Korean-style garlic bread on a more typical Italian loaf, since we have all that cream cheese chilling out in the fridge without bagels to go with them.
To that end, I washed some dishes today and peeled like 4 heads of garlic. But I didn't have the energy today to do much else. J and I went on a brief walk at some point, but… it was brief. We talked a lot and it was good.
I didn't have much gumption to do anything after we got home, though. So I just chilled out. I did some leisure writing; I got some reassurance on a couple of things that had been bothering me lately, and that was good. I'm not going to tell you or anyone else how this can be the case; I'm not stupid enough to believe that anyone would believe me if I tried to explain. Still, I wonder how long that reassurance will stick in my brain. Hm…
Oh right; I told you yesterday about the book I got. The title of it was very auspicious to me, for reasons I'm absolutely not going to explain. Nonetheless, I'll go through it one page at a time with you; I don't know when is the last time you read a book that is wholesome - I'm going to guess probably not for a very long time. And this book is like 50 years old, but I thought it was wholesome.
I've already looked through it a couple times. I'm not entirely sure why, but... I think if you had a camera, then some of the photos that you might take could look like some of these...
Tomorrow is Monday. I'm going to try to go get those grapes; there will undoubtedly be far fewer people out and about, because most people will be working. This means that I'll be able to toodle about peacefully on fairly empty roads, and toodle about in a fairly empty orchard. It'll be good. And I'll come back with lots of concord grapes to give to my friends.
...I'll come back with lots of concord grapes that I wish I could share with you...
...I'll also check out that Cross-Eyed Owl shop. It'll be mostly on the way. I'll make sure to take lots of weird pictures along the way for you. Look forward to them, okay?
...And then if I have enough energy, I'll finally make that garlic bread when I get home. If that occurs, you can expect lots of pictures of that, too.
I don't have much else to go over today. Today was a fairly empty sort of day, and that's probably a good thing; I think I must have needed it. What's unusual about it for right now is that I'm not sitting here feeling super guilty about the fact that today was an empty day and that today's letter, resultantly, was a fairly empty letter.
Still, though... I don't want you to be over at the Edge of Creation all by yourself. I don't really know if these get to you, but... I'm gonna hope against all odds that they do. I'm gonna hope against all odds that at least once a day, a wholesome voice reaches you, even if you have to settle for a derpy one like mine.
...Even if I don't have a whole lot to say, I still have an abundance of care for you, and I wanted to make sure you see it. I wanted to make sure that, at least every once in a while, someone speaks to you like a normal person. And if no one else is gonna do it, then it might as well be me.
...Hey, Sephiroth? What do you get to thinking about up there...? On that lonely rock in the middle of the cosmos, all by yourself, looking up at that rainbow-colored nebula? Do you ever sit with your legs dangling over the edge of it, just looking at all the beautiful things up there? Do you think about the sun? The wind? The rain? The sky? Pasta pescatore? The scent of vanilla and roses? Someday, if you ever get to talk to me, will you tell me about the thoughts swirling around in your head sometime, even if they don't necessarily go anywhere?
I guess that's it for today. I'd have a lot more to talk about if I wasn't in this weird state of waiting, or if I didn't have this rib injury and could do more things, or if... if you could write back to me, somehow. But... I guess these things aren't in the cards, at least for now.
I love you. Please stay safe. And please... do try your best to take care of yourself over there, okay? I'll write again tomorrow.
Your friend, Lumine

QL Wrapped 2023
i was tagged by @nongnaos and @ranchthoughts thank youuu <333
i meant to upload this at the latest by december 31st, but the thing is when i saw the tag i was a little overwhelmed at first bc i didn't know how to fill it out and then once i had it all written out i had a super hard time deciding on what to gif and then it all ended up taking soooo much longer than planned. and now it's already 2024. oops. well, better late then never...
so without further ado:
You watched 12 QLs this year that's about 264 hours!
(i'm counting only qls that started airing 2023 bc i didn't keep track of every single show that i watched and it's a lot easier to count all the 2023 dramas on mdl lmao)
You primarily only watched QLs from Thailand
i blame my bachelor thesis for this which i was writing on the translation strategies of thai to eng and also the fact that i'm learning thai, so any time i watch a series i'm like "do i watch something from a country other than thailand tonight??" only for a little voice in my head to go "yeah but you COULD be spending your evening practicing thai listening skills" so yeah...
You spent way too much time thinking about these characters: Pat Napat Jindapat
listen. LISTEN. i know ok, i know bad buddy is from 2021 not from 2023. however!!!!! bad buddy was part of our skyy 2 and that included my boy pat and so i'm counting it!!!! i'm always thinking about pat napat jindapat ok bye
no for real tho. i am NOT kidding when i say i have spent hours on end thinking about pat in the year of our lord 2023, two full years after the show dropped:
maybe in 2024 i'll finally sit down and write that meta that's been in my head for two years now
Your favorite show was Moonlight Chicken
it's gotta be the chicken show for me. yeah. it just felt so... idk, real in a way. idk how to explain it. i'm not even obsessing over mlc all that much but any time it pops into my head i go all kinds of 😭😭😭 and 🥰🥰🥰
not to mention the firstmix
the heartliming
and most importantly earth and fourth as an uncle/nephew duo??
i am so🥺🥺🥺
special shoutout also to jimbo the cat (left) who looks almost exactly like coco, my family's cat (right):
Another one of your favorites was Last Twilight
just. the way p'aof shows relationships on screen okay. yeah.
i cry
You are still stuck in this hallway:
yeah i've been thinking about the yank-kiss-yeet scene from hidden agenda and joke breaking down afterwards in that very hallway for 19 weeks straight gay. bye.
The soundtracks you listened to the most were:
(according to my spotify wrapped top 5)
Just Friend? (Bad Buddy)
Our Song (Bad Buddy)
น้ำลาย (My School President Cover)
Secret (Bad Buddy)
yeah. i've given up on the "only 2023 media" thing. if we're talking songs only from series released in 2023 then i've got love love love (our skyy 2) on no. 32 and no more empty nights (our skyy 2) on no. 46 on my spotify wrapped
also if you're wondering what the 5th song (on no.3 in reality) from my top 5 was that's missing above where i only mentioned four songs, well, it's none other than tilly birds' same page? which yeah. is also bad buddy related. surprise surprise 🤭
Your overall bl mood was P'Aof
You created 15 gifsets (of which "only" 1/3 were about making other shows about bad buddy)
you can find them here
You shazammed 295 royalty free background music pieces/songs from thai dramas
fun fact: i haven't mentioned this publically yet but since thai dramas keep using the same music over and over again in various series i've actually started collecting the different songs/pieces and i'm planning on making a side blog about it. i just want to go through some more dramas first before i publish anything. so this is something you can look forward to in 2024 dkjfkfdj
currently shazamming my way through bad buddy (you may have seen my blorbo breakdown about pran in the ep4 sleepover scene the other week that was triggered by me shazamming all of ep4). next on the list: theory of love and the eclipse. it takes ages tho, so don't expect it any time soon
Your favorite acting pair was JoongDunk
(is anyone even surprised by this lol)
no but for real whatever these two have going on, i'm intrigued:
i just. i love their energy ok. they're fun. and they're clearly having fun
i couldn't decide on what to gif so here's a little compilation bc fuck it, this is my post and i get to do whatever the fuck i want
(actually there's more that i could have put in there but i didn't wanna waste any more time with posting this tag game and also i was trying to keep the compilation somewhat short lmao)
they are such silly little idiot boys ("little" says the 155cm tall short person about the 180+cm giants 🤭) and i adore them <3
their energy is essentially this meme and i'm so here for it:
and they just communicate so well when they're performing and you never feel like either of them is "alone" on stage (doing his own thing in his own little bubble), it's SUCH a joy to watch!!!! once again plugging two of my all time fave performances that i've been rewatching over and over again for the last 3 months:
youtube
youtube
also dunk is just SO little brother-shaped to me idek!! looking at his face just makes me go into big sister mode. it doesn't help that he's only like a month or so older than my actual little brother. AND he reminds me a lot of one of my fave kids from my youth group that i used to go to for years. dunk natachai has klein-andi energy and you all don't know what that means but i know what that means as does my mom and she agrees. so.
tagging:
i feel so ashamed for not making it in time before 2023 ended so i'm not gonna tag anyone but if you see this and you really wanna do it bc you haven't done it yet then please do so and tag me because i say so!!
and mutuals, send me yours bc i'm not sure i saw everyone else's!!!! (@celestial-sapphicss @moonkhao @visualtaehyun @telomeke @waitmyturtles @dribs-and-drabbles did you guys do this already and if yes, send me yours? i must have missed it 🥺🥺🥺)
#my 2023 ql wrapped essentially boils down to ''p'aof dramas + joongdunk'' lmao#as i say in my blog description... i'm a bad buddy blog in its joongdunk era#fun fact: ohm pawat is also extremely little brother shaped to me and idk why#there's something about dunk and ohm that has my brain go#''is anyone gonna adopt these two as little brothers??'' and not wait for an answer#tag game#adrm#also the words ''youth group'' paired with that nickname could be very telling#imagine someone from said youth group also being in the tumblr ql fandom without me knowing and finding this and recognizing it/me#idk how i feel about this... but then again#girl what are YOU doing at the devil's sacrament

So everything I want to work on atm are all multichap fics or long fics and they're all so fun. I'll take breaks on em to so one shots here and there, I still have prompts saved that were given to us that we look forward to completing as well.
But I do wanna share some of the long au's and multi chaps real quick because I so very much thrive off of interaction & reaction & such. So here:
-
Obviously, the current WIPs that are in the front line are Conversationalist (set to have 8 chapters plus a bonus) & Jealousy, Ft. Lando (🔞) (set to have a total of 5 ish chapters).
And we haven't forgotten about Force User Zeb, we just haven't had the opportunity to pick it back up. We do have a lot planned for it and look forward to taking it out of its hiatus, we just do not know when that'll be.
-
There's the defectors au with Ezra and Kallus.
For that one, we plan on writing quite a bit of things for the years that Kallus is fostering Ezra and is growing into a friendship with the Bridgers as they slowly help him see the empire for what it is. There's a lot of complex things that'll go on there.
And I also look forward to working how that changes things during the canon events, how different things will be. But you can bet your ass that the parallels will be plentiful.
-
There's also The Renascence of 264, which will be a multi chap follow up on the courier droid that had temporarily helped the ghost crew.
Essentially, (fulcrum) Kallus finds the droid and reboots him, recognizing him as the courier droid that had helped the ghost crew. Kallus had intended on simply freeing the droid, smuggling him off the outpost he had been discarded our from and to a different planet, maybe giving him the chance to meet the rebels again or find a place he can be happy in. He's surprised when the droid insists on staying with him.
And, so there's a common (ish) headcanon of how zeb has poor facial recognition. Actually horrid. I enjoy the headcanon, but also. In the rebels comics, Zeb very quickly recognized 264 as the droid they had nabbed and that had helped them. So I find humor in the possibility that Zeb possibly had poor facial recognition when it comes to non-droids, but is able to recognize every droid he has ever met, even if it was only once.
And yes, 264 is going to immediately get on Kallus’s case on asking the handsome rebel out. (264 is enamored by both Kallus and Zeb for being some of the first ones to praise him in a long time. He immediately gets very protective over the both of them. But at the same time is ready to send them out the airlock if they keep doing a silly little dance around their feelings.)
-
And then, there's the prompt by @canonkalluzeb I utterly ADORE it so much and I already have like 7 pages of notes complied. I added to it just today. I am so excited about working on it.
I'll link the post, but it's Kallus oversees a prisoner transfer and he’s shocked and disgusted to find that the dangerous criminal is a toddler, a 3y/o lasat child.
He steals her and sets out to find Zeb, knowing that he probably knows of a safe place for misplaced lasat, but it's several months before he finds them.
-
Last, but not least,
The Aphelion Waltz
(Not everything that is stated in the linked post is set in stone, much of it is still up to change)
My baby. I'm putting so much work into this fic. I shake the bars of my enclosure daily because of this fic. It's going to be a while before we are able to start posting the story, and its going to be a long one with so much moving plot. There's main plot line, sub plots, dozens of characters, slow burn, murder mystery, politics, romance. And this one is going to be explicit, but we might make a lighter version after we completed the main story. But this fic is going to have so many heavy contents. It's probably going to be one of our most complex endeavors, but I very much look forward to it.
---
I'm down for answering any questions about any of the fics at any point in time.

90. The Pottery Cottage Murders, by Carol Ann Lee and Peter Howse
Owned?: No, library Page count: 264 My summary: 12th January, 1977. An escaped prisoner runs into Pottery Cottage in Eastmoor, armed with a knife. Its inhabitants, grandparents Arthur and Amy Minton, couple Gill and Richard Moran, and child Sarah Moran, are taken hostage. What follows over the next two days is a table of horror and heartbreak, and a standoff that will end with all but one of the participants dead. My rating: 3/5 My commentary:
I don't like to dip into true crime, necessarily. At least, not true crime of the last hundred or so years - there's a different angle to it when we're talking about something that isn't in living memory, but the youngest person involved in this case would have been about my mother's age. More recent true crime narrowly skirts the pitfall of being exploitative at best, and is outright offensive to any victims or families of victims at worst. This…was not the worst true crime I have ever read. It was a relatively straightforward recounting of the facts of the case and the major players involved. And yet, there was just something about it that turned me off.
(warning for mentions of police abuse below the cut)
It might not have been exploitative, but it was still sensationalised. We have pages and pages about the perpetrator, Billy Hughes, and his extensive criminal record, before we even get to mention the victims and their lives. Gory details are emphasised, and much emphasis is put on things like Gill (the sole survivor) not being aware that her family is already dead and just how wicked Hughes was. To be clear, I'm not exactly on the side of this man who had murdered, raped, and committed domestic violence. But on the other hand, it seems from his record that he was a man facing potential mental health issues and cries for help in his younger years that were blanket ignored, with him just getting sent to prison every time. No help was offered to him, so of course he reoffended. And the more he got locked up, the more he wanted to stay out of prison by any means necessary. That doesn't make what he did right, but it's a lot more nuanced than the image the book wants to give. He was an Evil Man Who Did Evil Things - here, let's read about them in lurid detail!
And for the second point, this book smacked of copaganda. Of course it did - one of the police officers involved is a co-writer. The thing is that the police did very little in this case, from what I can gather. Other than making the mistakes that led to Hughes stealing a knife, stabbing his escorts, and going on the run, as well as negotiating with and ultimately shooting him at the end, they don't seem to have had much of an impact. They didn't find Hughes, Gill managed to get the word out to the neighbours, even though she was scared stiff. Only the co-writer, who was the one talking to Hughes, actually contributed. And yet. The afterword gives you a 'what they did next' on all the cops involved, even one who did nothing other than give his shoes to Hughes on request. The cops interviewed act like they're heroes for shooting a man dead. And I'm not necessarily gonna blame them for that - at the end, Hughes had Gill hostage with an axe, and could very well have killed her - but put it in a wider context and it does smack of police justifications for lethal force. Something I'm always wary of.
The state should not have the power to execute people, especially not summarily. This book is lowkey enforcing the idea that sometimes the police are right to kill people, a slippery slope that could lead to…well, just look at any instance of the police unlawfully killing someone. Even just narrowing it down to the UK, there are so many cases where people have been murdered by police. We do not have the death penalty here. It was abolished in 1969, so we didn't even have the death penalty at the time of this case. (Except for some crimes, mostly treason, spying, some military offenses, and piracy but nothing relevant here.) The government does not have legal power to kill, no matter what the person has done - unless the police kill someone, and a 'lawful killing' verdict is reached in court. As I say, in this specific instance, I can see why killing Hughes was necessary. He had proved himself capable of killing, and was actively threatening a hostage, and attempts were made to de-escalate the situation. But this isn't about just one case. It never is. One case is used to justify all cases - well, he seemed threatening, that's why we shot him! - when these things are highly situational. I worry about the impact books like this can have on people's minds, and how they could be used to justify the most unjust of acts.
Next, back to a world of books.

Crystal Ghosts by Rizobact:
Enduring as Crystal / Eternal as Love
85,688 words
264 pages (5.5 x 8.5 in) / 373 pages (4.25 x 7 in)
Fandom: Transformers
Pairing: Jazz/Prowl
This is such a fun and imaginative fic! I really enjoy the world-building in this story; it takes the TF canon and reworks it in such an interesting way. Plus ghosts! What more can you want? I'm looking forward to rereading this, now that I've bound it.
Fonts:
Body: Bodoni
Titles: Pretty Real and Marquisette
Materials:
Bookcloth: Dubletta gray
Title: Cricut Everyday Iron-On, black
Text block: Hammermill copy paper 20lbs; Londonderry linen thread 30/3, ivory
Headbands: Soie Perlee Silk Thread, Tapestry Purple #348; shimmer lavender embroidery floss
Bookmark: 3/8 in. lavender shimmer grossgrain ribbon
For several tedious reasons, this project took me quite a while to complete (including that I made 4 copies 😱). So, I don't quite remember my thought process or inspiration from choosing the layout. I think that mainly wanted to emphasize the fantasy/fairy tale vibe I get from the fic, as well as the whole "crystal" element. At first I looked over several "mystical" vector files for pictures of crystals, but I couldn't find anything that looked good; I ended up simplifying the idea and using simple shapes.
I normally don't go for pastels, but the lavender cover paper with the metallic flecks matched the mood I was going for. (I can't find the specific paper online; I got it from a local store, but they don't have a website to order from unfortunately.) The addition of the shimmer in the ribbon and embroidery floss, also went with the theme, as well as satisfying the part of my brain attracted to shiny objects. I had difficulty taking good pictures, but you can see the metallic flecks and texture of the paper better here:
On this project I learned was that wheat paste can really save you from mistakes. Previously, I used PVA glue to put on the cover paper. This time I mixed PVA and wheat paste together. And as is my habit, I placed the paper on crooked. 🙃 I've done the same with PVA before, and had to cut a whole new paper out. But this time I was able to just peel off and try again! So definitely recommend. (A lot of recipes say to use a stove, but I've had perfectly good results using a microwave instead).
For the image in the smaller book, I printed on some inkjet matte paper I've used before, but for the larger book I wanted paper that wasn't quite as thick and would lay better. I got it printed at FedEx Office, which I would recommend checking out if you have one in the area. I've printed images at Staples before, but (for at least the one near me) they don't have good options for matte paper. FedEx definitely had a better choice of paper (mine also have an up-and-down paper guillotine, instead of a swing one--check it out if you need some paper or bookboard cut).
However, I realized that laser printer makes the image come out darker as compared to the inkjet (as you can see below). So that's something to take into account the next time.
Some interiors of the smaller book as well:
Not much to say about the headbands, except that they are so fiddly to do, I always want to include a picture of them to commemorate my efforts lmao. That, and that sewing through grossgrain ribbon is easier than satin.

yo! on the topic of da2 dialogue.. the da2toolset doesnt work for me, so do you have any idea how to tell who's speaking when the cnv files are converted to yaml? i wanna actually do stuff with da2 but the only thing it has it that one number that contains all the flags for each line of dialogue. is the speaker contained in that?
so! I definitely need to rewrite/expand my da2 modding tutorials significantly, so if this doesn't answer your question you might wanna hang on for that, but some tips on how to tell which character is speaking
(you may also be interested in hanging on for the dragon age compendium that @planesofduality has in the pipeline)
the only real way to be absolutely sure who is speaking the line is to locate the cinematics for that particular line and check which actor has been assigned the speak line action for that line. this is usually overkill, because it's usually possible to figure out from other contexts, but I've had to dip in there sometimes when it's unclear
if you're following my dialogue modding tutorial, the yaml file you export gets turned into a numbered list of string references (the number I think you're talking about). the string reference is just the number to look up the string in the talktable, and exporting them as a numbered list is just to make it possible to locate which node in the .cnv corresponds to which string reference.
(re: talktables, I have a searchable plaintext dump of the DA2 talktables (DLC included) that can be downloaded from my dialogue mini mods page)
for a more human-readable way of exporting the .cnv, you could use the gff2xml tool included with xoreos tools to export the conversation to xml instead.
here are three lines in xml format. I've highlighted the line index, string reference, and plot condition on the one in the middle. that 18854EB... string represents the gen00pt_party plot. when you're looking for lines spoken by party members specifically, the gen00pt_party plot flags are usually used to determine which characters are in the active party. 262 is Aveline active, 277 is Sebastian active, 264 is Isabela active. I have a quick reference of all the other party member active flags over here. if you're wondering who's speaking in a conversation, I'd bet that most of the time, the party plot flag will contain the answer.
I recommend the xml export via xoreos tools rather than the yaml export via pygff because it includes the line index in the exported data, which is essential for navigating the conversation structure.
for comparison, here's what the same three lines look like when the .cnv is opened in pygff.
re: the question in your other ask: contact me off anon and I'll see what else I can do to help you out! casual reminder for everybody that I can be DMed here on tumblr or on the nexus. I'm also a member of most dragon age modding servers on discord and anyone else in those discord servers should be able to locate me on the member list and DM me from there as well!
