After Tim becomes Robin, Dick starts stressing so much. He needs to balance being Nightwing, teaching Tim (making sure he doesn't die), manage Bruce and Tim, and also still manage his team, all the while he is still very much grieving. This goes on for a while, and he is getting severely burnt out, and the Titans have had enough.
They more or less kidnap Dick and tell him that enough is enough, you're taking a vacation. You're going to some very lovely beach town in Europe and lay under the sun and just chill. Seriously. We are not joking.
So they fly him over to Europe with Bruce's Black Card and an order to just relax. Being physically removed from Gotham and the United States in general helps a little, so Dick starts to ease up into his sudden vacation. The town is nice to just lounge around for the day and the nights are warm and there's bigger city nearby, just a short drive away, and Dick goes whatever, why not and decides to go check out the local night life. It's pretty nice, and he gets to brush up his language skills, and he's just a little lost after taking what he thought would be a shortcut through an alley, and-
-and he gets tackled to the ground when someone falls off the roof directly on top of him. They're very much dressed in League clothing, and all of Dick's training kicks in, and he grabs the guy to fight him off-
-only to look up directly at his dead little brother's face.

I see all these posts that are like
“What’s the deal with popular posts on Tumblr, that better not happen to this one!”
“I dunno, this post reads like a 1m note post to meeeeeee”
“oh no how could this have happened no dont oh lordy”
[apollo image]
And I just... I call shenanigans. Look Tumblr is wacky, sure, but that shit doesn’t ACTUALLY get a gazillion notes unless you’re already big enough on here to get those numbers regardless. No amount of “gosh this post better not be big ;)” would ever get any of mine to go above three notes maximum because only a handful of my followers are even real people.

Saw a poll thati implied people only read fanfiction for shipping. And I KNOW that's not true. but now I'm curious to what the ratio is
Ship fics are referring to any fic that is about two or more characters and their romantic/sexual relationship, where the story revolves around that relation ship, or takes a good chunk of the story
Gen fics refer to any fic where the main plot/story is NOT focused on the romantic/sexual relationship between two or more characters (gen fics can include ships, like if there is an established relation ship, but the fic is not focused on the ship)
The main point though is, do you go looking for ships, or other reasons

I do feel like the way Kyoshi was written in the Avatar reboot was lowkey influenced by the fandom's perception of her. Cause like in the original show she's really just portrayed as a pragmatist who's willing to kill if necessary. Like Aang is conflicted about killing the Fire Lord and she's like "well if I were in your position I'd do it but that's just me. Good luck." And then people started making memes where she's like a murderous psychopath who thinks extreme violence is always the solution. And it was funny at first cause it was just exaggerating for comedy but now everyone thinks she was actually like that in the show when she really wasn't. And then in the remake her introductory scene is her angrily yelling at this 12 year old that he needs to stop being a little pussy and be a ruthless warrior or whatever and the only explanation I can think of is that someone in the writer's room maybe looked at a few too many of those memes.
