Kai/Rei Ship Headcanons:

Getting Together

Kai is always the one to make the first move. Rei may have feelings first, but Kai is always the one to make the first move.

Rei has feelings first and feelings for a long time. He’s really good at hiding his emotions and buries them down, because Kai doesn't like men, and even if he did, he doesn't like Rei.

So Rei dates. He dates Mao, and they have an on again off again. There’s that brief little fling with Salima, when she and Kane are on break. And then there’s that weird summer with him and Hiro (which solidifies that, yes, he liked men, but no, he didn’t like Hiro.)

But Kai never dates. Never shows interest. But he's always distant when there’s someone in Rei’s life, but once they’re gone, Kai is stuck to him like glue… well sort of. They hang out… sort of. They’ll be in the same room and Kai might say 4 words to him. But it's comfortable. But there's a definite difference in the way Kai treats Rei when Rei is single.

Kai is either one of two scenarios: He has feelings for Rei and knows what he is feeling. Or he has no idea what he’s feeling, but there's something about Rei.

In scenario one: Kai doesn’t want to change things. They’re comfortable. He likes how things are and is… Nervous to act out on his feelings. Again. He likes having Rei around. Likes being in his presence. Hearing his laughs. He doesn't want to lose Rei. Doesnt want to fuck things up.

Scenario two: Literally the whole plot of Feeling Worthy. He has no idea he’s crushing on Rei. And is super nasty, but in moments of clarity he shows his true colors and is nice and caring. But his heart does funny things and it scares him. Fight or Flight going off like crazy. 

Always the catalyst is Kai realizing his feelings, or acting impulsively on his feelings (Kissing Rei, unprompted). And then he hides from Rei, until Rei is able to get him to talk it out.

And it's always slow. Rei is more experienced and for once has more confidence than the one he’s with.

Relationship Headcanons

Kai is possessive of Rei, not too overbearing but if someone doesn’t get the hint that Rei is with him, he will make it known. From his harmless hand on Rei’s waist to both hands gripping Rei tightly, lips attracted to Rei’s neck like a magnet suckling on the tan skin. He’s not gotten physical from the possessiveness, but he would. If necessary. 

Kai is also fiercely protective of Rei. No one will bad mouth Rei in front of Kai. And if someone upsets Rei? He will do whatever in his power, however much money it takes to rectify the issue.

Rei loves both of the above traits of Kai. It makes him feel wanted. And Loved. (red flag)

When they fight, both will always walk away from the other. When they first get together, Kai disappears for hours. As they grow into their relationship, Kai doesn’t walk out the door, but hides in a different corner of the house.

Kai is always the one who will apologize first, believing it's always his fault. Not that Rei’s not going to apologize, just that Kai is somehow always faster at doing it. 

Kai really brings out Rei’s confidence, and Rei is able to get Kai to talk more. They feed off each other. 

Kai’s love for Rei is unconditional. He completely understands how free Rei’s heart is, and how hard it is for him to feel at home anywhere he is, but the difference is, Kai would follow him to the ends of the earth. Wherever Rei wants to go, Kai will follow. 

Kai spoils Rei. Anything Rei could want, he provides (and sometimes it drives Kai nuts because Rei isn't a material person, so he makes sure to notice things.)

They don't fight a lot, but when they do fight it is from miscommunications. Either Rei doesn’t say exactly what he wants, or Kai can't figure out how to properly communicate.

Also as usual, I see Rei learning Russian (bc my HC of Kai is Japanese/Russian, fight me)

Rei always does all the cooking, when they’re out, or when he tells the chef (because rich boy kai) he’ll handle their meal. Kai is a disaster in the kitchen, but starts taking lessons (under the guise of work meetings) and has the chef watch over him as he prepares a meal for Rei.

Rei remembers when they were kids, Kai always had a soft spot for cats, and well the house is kind of lonely, so he gets Kai three kittens. And it's chaos in the house, but it's perfect. They love it.

Kai isn’t wordy with his wants, so Rei tries really hard to read his partner's needs and wants and fulfill them. Sometimes it's simple, going into Kai’s office and bringing him coffee. Or wrapping his arms around Kai and forcing him to come to bed and sleep for more than three hours. Rei misses him. Or bringing him food when he’s on work calls all day, because if he doesn’t Kai won’t eat.

Rei doesn't drink, usually. But. If Kai is drinking too much, and he wants Kai to stop drinking, he will grab Kai’s drink and down it. It sends a clear signal to Kai that he’s cut off. (And usually it sobers him up, because alcohol makes Rei sleepy and they should probably be leaving or heading back to their room.

In the privacy of their home, they are so touchy feely. Holding hands, cuddling on the couch, etc. In public it’s a lot more reserved. A casual arm around Rei’s waist, Thighs touching while they sit. Holding pinkies.

Also, Kai would 100% propose even if they couldn't legally get married (But he has the money to fly them wherever they could get legally married) And Rei wouldn't believe it because his confidence is still kind of low, but Kai wants to spend forever with him??? (and Rei cries so much)

Kai has made Rei cry (from something other than happiness or ecstasy one time) and Kai wanted to kill himself afterwards. He felt so awful. He couldn't believe he of all people could have caused Rei pain like that.

They’re Vers, but: when Kai bottoms he’s a power bottom. He likes being in charge and in control. He likes being on top, when he’s on the bottom. He likes to see all the pretty faces Rei makes. 

Their first time, Kai insists on bottoming. And Rei is so hesitant and insists that he will bottom. Kai gets his way and bottoms and uses that, the internet and his own body as research for when it’s Rei’s turn.

Rei likes when Kai manhandles him. Even though there’s not quite a height difference. But Kai is stronger. He works out more and for mass and muscles. While Rei does more to stay flexible and in shape. Kai is good at flipping him around. Holding him against things etc. while reis good at being folded up. 

Kai is really into marking Rei. Rei isn’t really into marking Kai, unless Kai pushes it. (But scratching? Rei is kind really into scratching. And his nails are always somehow sharp) kai tries not to mark Rei in places others can see because they're not 16 anymore, but sometimes it's a heat of the moment thing, or they’re somewhere where kai needs others to know Rei is taken. 

Other’s

Takao thinks its weird that Rei, Mr. Sunshine, is with Mr. Doom and Gloom, Kai. Takao likes that Rei brings out a different side of Kai when they're together. Kai’s a lot less moody when Rei is with him.

Max is so supportive of them! Max equates Kai to an older brother, and Rei is one of his best friends. So their happiness is so important to Max, and that they are happy with each other!! 

Hiromi is kind of obsessed with them.

The Borg Boys are so surprised by Kai’s choice of partner. Not that Kai is with a guy, because they all know Kai is gay as hell, but Rei? Rei? Very similar reaction to Takao, because they seem like polar opposites. It’s weird. But they can't deny that Kai smiles more in the presence of his Sunshine.

They will give Kai a hard time, as well as Rei a hard time, but it's an affectionate sort of hard time. And they treat him like part of the found family

White Tigers are 100% against it, at first. There’s some mild homophobia by the men of the team. And Mao is just against it being Kai (And tbh in all my Borg Boy X Rei HC the white tigers are not a fan of the relationship). But it is so important to Rei to keep them in his life, that Kai makes it his mission to get them to like him, and give their relationship their blessing. Because Kai’s usual reaction to oh XYZ doesnt like us dating is fuck them, but these people are Rei’s family.

And it pains Kai to try and rehabilitate his reputation with the White Tigers. They meet on neutral ground in the city for their first meetup and Rei is so nervous. Lee, Gary and Kevin are kind of mean about the whole meetup, and Rei puts on a brave face. And Mao is more annoyed because its Kai, of all the Borg Boys it's him. (She’d take Boris over Kai). But Lee goes too far and Rei starts crying and excuses himself, and Kai goes off on them. How dare they? After everything, how dare they be so disrespectful to Rei. I didn't even want to be here, but this mattered to Rei. Your approval was all he cared about, but you guys want to treat him like shit? I won't stop him from visiting, but believe me I will try my hardest to talk him out of it. He doesn’t deserve any of this. He is the sweetest, kindest person I know. He is so patient, he’d wait until the world ended to get the approval from the White Tigers. Then he’d drop enough money on the table to cover the whole bill plus, and collect Rei from wherever he ran to. (And Kai’s dialogue wins over Mao. Then she works on the rest of the team, but it takes Rei months to work up the courage to go back to China. But Rei really wants to go back for a festival, so they do. Kai and Mao work out an arraignment for Rei to see them. And it finally works out. With apologies and everything.)

Mr. Dickinson is so thrilled when any of his young bladers get into relationships, especially when it's with each other. He sees Rei as a sort of grandson, after everything he’s done for Rei, so he’s even more thrilled. And then! Kai of all people! In a relationship! Thriving, Happy! What more could he ask for!

Petnames with stray Kids

Synopsis: which pet name would the stray kids boys use when referring to you

A/n: I had this idea for a while but only wrote it now. Hope you all like it <3 | 1k event

Chan

I've said it before and I'll say it again, he would call you by a pet name in your language. However, if he had to choose an English one, it would probably be "baby". It's something that he finds endearing and at the same time it shows his protective side.

"I miss you [ ]. Just a few more months and I will be back home."

Lee Know

I believe he would call you something in his language. It's the idiom he learnt first, the one he carries more meaning. He might not be the best with words but he wants you to be sure that he loves you, so he always tries to call you something that comes deep for him

"Have you eaten already yeobo? I just cooked some lunch, I can bring it to you."

Changbin

"Babe." I am a firm believer that he has thousands of pet names for you, going from the sweetest to the cringiest ones in a matter of seconds, but babe would probably be his favourite. It's neutral to anyone who listens to it, however it seems special every time it's between the two of you. It's perfect.

"Babe, are you free tonight? I thought we could go on a date."

Hyunjin

He has a big vocabulary of petnames, but they all start with "my". My love, my angel, my dearest and the list goes on. He doesn't even want to be possessive about it, it's just that this was the way he found to express how important you are to him.

"My love, are you coming to practice today? I really wanted you to see our rehearsal, I think you will like it."

Han

"Darling". I know it's kinda a consensus that he would call you "baby" but bro calls everyone that 😭 I believe he would like you to be different. Darling is something that still sounds like him but also has a greater meaning (you).

"I'm almost finishing this track. Would you like to listen to it darling?"

Felix

Calls you "angel". He thinks it's only fair that he portrays you well, and no other word could do you justice. Besides that, I think he would also call you a nickname, a variant from your own name that no one has ever called you before. Nothing else could be more you than that, but it's also something that would be exclusive to the two of you.

"Angel, my mom is on the phone. She said she misses you."

Seungmin

"Honey". It's just so sweet and light, so he thinks that it matches you very well. I don't think he would be the type to say petnames all the time but when it does happen, it's always the cutest things that leave his mouth.

"Honey, I'm on my way home. Do you want me to bring dinner?"

I.N

He's another one who I think would call you a Korean pet name, but for different reasons than Lee Know. It's probably because Korean is his mother language, so it feels more like home. And at this point, you are his home.

"Jagi have you seen my silver ring? The big one?"

Num. 1: "Please", inspired by David Tennant Richard II Kiss

"Please" is the first part of a diptych. Published as a simple WIP in December 2023, it became for no apparent reason (lol) one of my most famous posts on Tumblr. I have always wanted to full-colour it, but I was feeling so much pressure about this one that I didn't dare to try. And then Time has passed...

I have changed a lot of things in my art practice. Different brushes, different lines, and so when I'll work again on "Please", I already know that I'll have to redo all the lineart - that's ok, it's one of my favorite tasks. I will improve Aziraphale's expression and draw more details on his Archangel suit. Crowley with his dark waistcoat (ngk) and his gorgeous black wings will probably stay the same, even if I'll redo all his lineart so they'll complete each other perfectly. And, of course, full-colour... Teehee.

Num. 2: "...Again." (inspired by David Tennant Richard II Kiss)

"...Again" is the second part of my "Richard II Kiss" diptych. So much potential in Aziraphale's wings, as he literaly lauches himself into Crowley's arms! And how I love the way Crowley embraces him like nothing else matters. I'll have to do all the lineart for this one, and I'm so glad about it, because I guess I have changed and improved my lineart skills these last months, and "Again" is the perfect challenge for proving it to myself.

Num. 3 "Bliss", one of my favourite Red Art Sketches! But...

Achieved on the 29 of January, 2024, "Bliss" is a Daily Challenge sketch, so time completion = less than 2 hours. I love the emotion and the movement in this one, but I have always wanted to come back to it and take my time, in order to draw a cleaner and more detailed version, probably in full-colour. The potential of Crowley's wings is phenomenal (I'm so much more skilled now about drawing wings), and his expression is wonderful. Maybe I'll change a little bit the lineart so we could see Aziraphale's embrace on Crowley - tenderness and passion all the way, always.

Num. 4 "Falling Starmaker" - "If Only I could have been there for you"

"Aziraphale saw the Starmaker's Fall, but didn't (couldn't) intervene. 6 thousand years later, he still regrets. He should have been there for him."

I dearly love this headcanon about Aziraphale, and I like to imagine that he would still dream about saving the Starmaker from his Fall. Not because he prefers Crowley as an angel (Damn, NO), but because he learnt to know Crowley throught the ages. And since he saw how much Crowley has suffered, after 6000 years, Aziraphale would do anything for relieving Crowley of thepast and the pain.

The lineart here is quite ok but needs to be redone so it would be more appropriate for a full-colour rendering. I really want to work on highlights and rendering effects for this one, so the movement of the Fall would be preserved. And I'll work on details like burnt feathers, Crowley's hair and Aziraphale's saddened eye.

Num. 5: "Eden" or "Take me back to Eden"

Since my first reading of "Anatomy 1.0.1", a Rating E fanfiction written by Fyre, I have a thing for them already together in the Garden of Eden. So of course, a kiss on the wall (again), but with their wings apparent this time!!!

I gave up this one in April after trying to full-colour it (that was... hideous.) Now that I have a better idea of how to handle full-colour, I need to come back to it. This one will be a peaceful, innocent fluffy scene. With Crowley's proud wings casting a soft shadow on them, probably, and his gorgeous hair flowing like fire and gold over Aziraphale. A lazy and tender moment in the Garden of Eden, when everything seemed simpler...

This blog is primarily a place to discuss, headcanon, and do general fandom shenanigans.

As Billy Joel might say, It's a place to forget about life for a while.

But given the current goings on in the world, I Will be changing my pinned post to this link.

If you're like me, you may not have much disposable income. So it's hard to donate when causes you care about pop up.

My platform here is small, and primarily for fandom fun times, and it will remain as such. As previously stated, This will be a rare post of this kind on this blog.

Saw your reblog on tragic unrequited platonic love and technically, that trope definitely applies to the betrayed trio, especially on Hinamori’s end (depends on whether or not you subscribe to the view that she was crushing on Aizen). The way I saw it in my initial viewing of bleach, it was more of the type of intense admiration for an authority figure that can be misconstrued as a crush cuz you (the devotee) lack the ways to properly articulate it. Like how u feel abt the rlly cool English teacher u sometimes eat lunch with before they get arrested for like fraud or something. After experiencing the Horrors, of course Kira and Hinamori are going to imprint hard on the first semblance of stability and symbol of safety at the time. So that what they went thru meant something. Also, let me take this moment to briefly gush abt the headcanon u presented in the B3 fic cinematic universe abt hinamori’s fixating on squad 5 because it offers her the knowledge beyond her town that she’s lowkey seeking + the values she wants to strive towards (source: from afar). These nerds just wanted to be mentored so badddd!! Thus, the reveal of the fact that they were only a means to an end, specifically chosen on where they fall on the “easy to manipulate” scale hits HARDER. All that devotion?? Loss of work life balance and for WHATTT? Extended medical leave ? 😭 oh bleach my fave workplace sitcom AND workplace drama u will always be famous

You're right! That totally works here. It's interesting because (and I'll just focus on Hinamori here, because otherwise I'd feel compelled to honor the distinctions between her and Aizen vs. Kira and Ichimaru and Hisagi and Tousen, and this would probably end up reading very convolutedly) I think it kind of asks a question about when the platonic pining would have happened.

Is the pining part of suddenly realizing the disjuncture between what Hinamori thought something was and what Aizen did, and mourning something lost (and something that never really was)?

Or was there also pining when things were Good? We see Aizen be reassuring to Hinamori and generous with his time, etc. and we see Hinamori happy to receive from him, and quite devoted both to her VCship as well as to Aizen on a person level (or as he put it, "as a man" lol). We know she's well-respected by her division, and esteemed by her colleagues (okay, Kira and Hitsugaya may have some bias in this arena, but they both describe her as highly skilled).

But was she needed? Was she doing, and did she get the opportunity to do, things that Aizen couldn't do better? Did she have opportunities to express things that Aizen found interesting or outside of his expertise? Even as they are not equals--and there is no expectation that they should be--in the most fruitful mentorships, both parties have things to teach and learn.

Did Hinamori ever look at other Captain/VC relationships and yearn for pieces of what those looked like to her? Nanao would probably say "god i hope not" because Kyouraku's "reliance" on her often takes the shape of her having to do all the busywork and also herd cats, but in spite of this there's an intimacy there, an openness or trust, that Hinamori might yearn for. And that's taking Kyouraku--shadowy and full of many surfaces himself--into account. Hitsugaya and Matsumoto also have something that both Hitsugaya and Matsumoto probably complain about to Hinamori, but there's a degree of mutualism and collaboration to whatever's going on at the 10th that Hinamori might not mind a taste of, too. Renji has been Byakuya's VC for a month but Hinamori has probably already thought to herself "Kuchiki-taichou let him do WHAT" at least twice. Even though Byakuya is Byakuya, judging by how they handled their "meeting Ichigo in the street" mission, it seems like Byakuya lets Renji have his little projects. Like Renji is part of his investment portfolio and Byakuya feels very comfortable considering Renji a volatile but potentially valuable property and in order to get that ROI you need to stick with him through several honorless tech startup busts and commit long-term to the thing. Er, but I digress. My point is, Renji gets projects. "Develop training menu." Creative opportunity! With a result that has Renji all over it.

Does Hinamori get projects? Does it ever feel like she's pushing the envelope of what the 5th can be and how it can function on her own, without it being something Aizen already predicted the outcome of, or was actually his idea that he let her propose and take nominal ownership of anyway? Despite being completely blindsided by the actuality of Aizen, was there already that sense of inevitability/Aizen all over everything that happens at the 5th? (Competing, of course, with Hinamori's self-concept as a creative person; and her love of Aizen as a person, not just as a boss and mentor; and feeling as though she just needs to excel more and be creative better and she'll eventually meet this need she feels--it's not the environment that's the issue. She's happy here. Mostly. She doesn't need to leave, she simply needs to surpass--)

I've decided to reduce my social media activity drastically to protect my mental health. Right now, it's being detrimental to my already low confidence and every post I make and every hour I spent in social networks only exacerbates my feelings of not being enough.

It's been two years since I came to this fandom, and in all this time, I failed to feel a part of something and form connections, and I very keenly feel the effects of this in everything I do. People who came here after me fared better in a shorter time. I don't blame anyone for this except myself. I've always been the misfit with the edgy uncomfortable opinions, I suck at social interactions, I've been told that my dry and academic tone comes across as condescending, I prefer dry facts over speculation, headcanons and vibes, and canon is my Prime Directive. Or in other words: I'm the antipode of what people love about fandom, I'm not fun. I see the result of this every day and it makes me feel like a failure (I even went so far as to analyse the stats of my posts and compare them to similar recent posts to confirm that this is not a sentiment).

Sharing a passion with hundreds of other people should make you happy. Most of the time, I only feel miserable.

My former fandom was so small that I never noticed these things, but now that I've in this very big fandom for two years, it's painfully clear that fandom is not for me.

In the past, I've tackled such situations by actively trying to change them. After I did that poll in January, I decided to post more and tried to interact more. But too many failed past attempts at interacting have left me disheartened and I can't possibly spend even more time on writing up a comprehensible post. Over the next couple of months, I'm going to face the biggest change in my life so far, and I need to focus on the things that bring me joy like writing. I can't afford keep doing things that only drag me down.

You're likely going to see posts from me now and then when I feel that I have something to say (I was working on a couple of metas) or because I posted a new chapter on AO3, and I have also a couple of scheduled reblogs left, but for the near future, I won't hang around to see what's going on. So please know that if I seem to ignore you, it's not because of you.

I'll probably be more active again when I feel more confident, but since this a permanent issue that has existed for as long as I can remember, this isn't magically going to change in the future.

Last but not least, I want to thank the handful of people who so far supported me by sharing my posts or recommending my works on a social network, or I had nice interactions with. Without you, I would have come to this point much sooner. Please know that you're appreciated <3

What is a "bad idea?"

It's whatever you want it to be! The "[blank] Life, but _" format works really well for series concepts as a whole, but "bad headcanons" are welcome too! Go wild, friends <3

"Someone already sent in my same idea! Can I submit it again?"

Sure!! Most of the time, I won't even realize it's been said before. This blog has been going for so long now and I have bigger priorities, I won't penalize you for sending in a "repeat" ask :)

(There is also the #additions tag for adding onto specific ideas, although it isn't used very consistently. If you would like your ask to be added to a previous post instead, just ask!)

"What does the queue look like for this blog?"

Currently, it posts once per day, and there's usually ~100 posts in the backlog waiting to be posted.

For complicated personal reasons (but mostly me being a busy uni student), that most likely won't be changing anytime soon. I don't get around to stocking this blog very often and I would rather have it be slow and consistent than have random bursts of activity then silence. I know this is frustrating for people, but this is my personal passion project, and I don't want to needlessly stress myself out over something I started for fun :)

Probably still in the askbox! Very rarely do I actually delete asks, I promise I don't cherrypick the ideas I like and discard the rest. But since I know the wait is frustrating, this is my policy to deal with it:

If you've sent in an idea and it hasn't posted yet, you can send me an ask describing your idea and ask to have it moved up in the queue. You can also send in a separate ask when submitting an idea if you want to have it posted sooner rather than later.

(If your idea is connected to recent events in smps, etc it will most likely be moved up anyway so it posts while still "relevant," although this is somewhat limited to my familiarity with the event. It never hurts to ask!)

Is it really dead?

well considering im still following some moots of over 10+ years that still regularly reblog new art and fics for fandoms Ive seen called "dead" many times in the past, fandoms that havent had new content in years, it's probably not

also, the older the fandom, consider how much more ridiculous your claim is. if the media is from fucking 20 years ago and still getting art and fic in any capacity, I dont wanna hear shit about shit being "dead" because there was a slow month of content on tumblr.com

What is really happening?

well if its for an ongoing fandom and there's a noticeable slow period, ask yourself... are we in-between episodes? in-between movies? in-between games? the fandom is not dead, sheesh. everything naturally slows down a while after canon content stops being made. doesn't mean it's dead.

what is happening is that artists and fic writers and other fandom enjoyers that are still out here making plenty of "content" for you (to absorb in 2 seconds and then demand more like they're machines, btw) see your dumb little comment and look around like ???

like ok what am I, chopped liver? I'm still out here making plenty of content, am i dead to you?

what are you doing to keep the active community alive and motivated? are you actually liking and sharing their art? reading their fics and leaving nice comments?

orrrrrrrr do you only care when its your favorite artists making content?

its like. very obvious when its the biggest artists who arent making art anymore cause they moved to a new fandom or whatever and suddenly here come the "the fandom is dead" posts

i know from experience that it just makes everyone else feel like they dont "count." theyre just the backup "favorite" artists when the real "favorite" artists are away, because you don't have a choice anymore.

it feels so god damn disrespectful and dismissive. like thank god i will draw whatever tf i want whether it gets 1 like or 3000 but whenever i see that kind of comment I cant help but go "well the fandom is dead apparently so I guess I'll just throw my ideas and wips away huh???"

and most people are kind. i dont think those big artists would be very happy to hear you're dismissing an entire fandom's worth of creativity just because they havent drawn for it in a while

i keep saying artist but this goes for anyone who contributes to fandom in any way. even just posting headcanons and stuff is participation. and those fics need people to read them, after all.

ive yet to see any fandom actually die. but you will kill your creators' motivation if you keep saying its dead

Lost one Reader:

So, if the reader is a lost one, it probably takes a long time for Bendy to warm up. Kill ya if he's big, run away if small.

Though, of course, with a human soul still inside you, you revive after death and continue to follow him around like a lost dog. He just....gets used to you being there, and silently keeps an eye on you as he hunts.

Romantic takes months. (If there even is time in the machine.) He doesn't realize he's in love with you until you had nearly been attack and he just grabbed you and bolted.

He doesn't show a lot of romantic feelings unless you giggle lolol

"Perfect" Toon Reader:

Before I get to the actual headcanons, imagine if reader was a Perfect Bendy toon, Bendy would flip out so much XD

Alright, anyways, he's jealous of you for a long while. In Joey's eyes, you're perfect, without a flaw.

Bendy has many flaws, and is locked up for it.

You eventually started helping with feeding Bendy and started chatting with him, telling how your day was and asking him what he did in the room. It made his tail rattle at first. Eventually he just listened as you blabbered.

When he manages to get out of the room, instead of murdering people he followed your scent and went to hug you in his tiny form, and Joey said as long as he stayed like that he could be out of the room.

Bendy enjoys your hugs. He loves to be curled up against your chest while you read, sometimes even reading to him.

Romance wise, Reader just mentions their feelings and Bendy agrees, and boom, possessive baby being jealous at any man staring at you XD

It’s so good and I really wish that I found it when it was finished, because it’s so annoying having to wait! 😂 Love the idea of a Curt and Dickie live au and Johns perspective of Millie arriving at Stalag Luft! (I’ve got a bit of an head cannon that one of the 100th saw her fall, so they all really think she is dead). Also I cannot get the AU idea out of my head of Curt and Dickie surviving, making it back to England, and moving into more non combat roles because they refuse to leave the war without Millie. Would love to see there reaction to Millie’s return, her closeness to Bradys crew and the rest of the 100th and especially her and Brady.

When I got up this morning and saw 2 asks in my Inbox, I was expecting questions from the emoji ask game I reblogged the other day, and as much as I love those ask games, I was especially delighted by what I received, and they made me go 🥺🥺. I'm pretty sure that both asks are from you, so hopefully I'm correct and not conflating 2 very nice Nonnies together.

I'm really glad you're enjoying Sunward I've Climbed, and as an avid consumer of other people's wonderful stories, I completely understand your reaction when you have to wait for the next chapter. And hopefully, you'll enjoy the upcoming stories in the wider Sunward Verse just as much.

I'm definitely going to geek out about your ideas at very great length, so everything else is beneath the cut.

And given the time, I'll answer the other ask tomorrow. I'm going to have lengthy thoughts about that, as well.

As to your headcanon:

The sheer angst potential of this brilliant headcanon of yours is extreme, and I love it. Given the battle of survival all the other ships were undergoing simultaneously and that I don't think that any other forts went down in the TV Show right where M'lle Zig Zig did, it would probably have to be one of her crew that sees Millie's chute get strafed and then the beginning of what they would probably assume was a long, quick, and terrifying fall into oblivion.

The question would be WHO precisely would have seen her chute get strafed, and WHO saw it happen would influence whether that was behind their belief (as Murph notes) that she'd died at Munster.

So Millie was third out of the plane AFTER Hafer (the radio operator) and Gangwer (the ball-turret gunner). There was a long enough delay with McCusker (who came forward from the tail and did not bail from his assigned hatch) and Petrohelos talking about what to do with Clanton's body that Hoerr and Hambone could have easily been the next two out of the plane.

Say for the sake of the story, it was Hoerr and Hambone who went out next and thus would have been closest to Millie when her chute got strafed. Hambone was already badly injured and had to get free of the escape hatch, too, so he might not have noticed.

Hoerr, however, would have, I suspect. He was co-pilot, so he was probably scanning the skies, trying to count chutes like Brady was in the cockpit. Hoerr would know the standard order in which the crew was supposed to bail and from what exit, but there were irregularities with how the crew bailed that would have thrown off any guesswork of which of his crewmates was he watching die.

Hambone went out just before him; Solly, Brady, and Bucky all bailed after him, so with Clanton being dead, Hoerr could narrow it down very quickly to the enlisted (Petros, McCusker, Hafer, Gangwer, or Millie). But which one of them was it? If he could get a full chute count, he'd probably discount McCusker and maybe Petros, as well.

That leaves Hafer, Gangwer, and Millie. Gangwer was injured, and Hafer yelled over the radio that he was coming to help, and that probably, he might have thought, thrown off bailing order and who goes from what hatch. Moreover, normally, Millie would be first out of the bomb bay, but I could see him wondering if she might have delayed bailing to try to help.

“Eight-and-a-half,” Millie corrected, because she was tired and feeling a little ornery. “And like I’d stand bein’ left behind after what happened the last time my crew went up without me.” Tomorrow would be a month since Regensburg. One whole month. One long month. Sometimes she still thought she heard a snippet of Curt and Dickie’s voices in a crowd, saw a flash of their faces out of the corner of her eye. (She hadn’t touched gum in a month, even when one of the other girls had kindly offered her some. The last piece she had had, Dickie had given her.) “That wasn’t your fault, you know,” he said with a frown. “They‒”

So Hoerr could have concluded that it very well MIGHT HAVE been Millie's chute that he had witnessed being strafed and her resulting fall, but he could not have known for certain. But would he have said anything to Brady then? Hoerr knew how close the two of them were, and I could see him telling Brady out of full-disclosure, but I could also see him keeping this to himself because he doesn't know for sure, and then the news is like this festering secret inside him.

And, if he kept it to himself, maybe after Hambone arrives with news about Gangwer and NO news about Millie, Hoerr was working himself up to telling Brady, and then one afternoon, Millie arrives ...

I need to think about this headcanon of yours some more, but I very well might make it canon.

As to your AU idea:

That twist on Curt and Dickie surviving is fascinating and very plausible. I've already got some prison camp ideas for them, so I'm going with the other possibility: evasion.

I can't remember where Escape Kit went down in the show, whether it was in German-occupied territory or in Germany, and while the farther you get into occupied Europe, the harder evasion likely is, it's not impossible...

Especially with Dickie's injuries, it would probably be quite late in 1943, if not early 1944 before they returned to England. There were some evasion routes that would take escaping airmen down into Spain before they could be taken to England, but there was also an evasion route that crossed the English channel by boat. I'd have to check dates and maps to see what evasion route would be most likely for them in this scenario.

So according to Red Bowman's diary, Thorpe Abbotts knew Buck was alive by December of 1943, although they didn't know the same about Bucky by then as far as I know. It would have been like twice as long since Escape Kit had gone down, so Dennis and McKay, Curt's navigator and bombardier, would--I suspect--have appeared on the POW's list well before December, but with Curt and Dickie not on any lists, Thorpe Abbotts very well might have assumed them dead or MIA, which would only add to everyone's surprise when (A) they either show up on base one day fresh from debriefings in London or (B) Harding gets a call that they are down in London and the news spread around base.

I can't imagine Curt and Dickie's horror upon their return to Thorpe Abbotts to see the sea of unfamiliar faces (> replacement crews) and hear of the full losses sustained at Regensburg. And then to hear about Bremen and Munster on top of that, the sheer scale of losses from those two missions, YIKES. And to hear that not only Buck and Bucky went down, but that Millie went down, too--their favorite engineer and close friend--it's like 😱😭.

And depending upon when they got back to base, they might not have even known whether Millie was alive or not--and for Curt, whether Bucky was alive, as well. And that hurts. And then to hear from Kenny how hard she took their deaths and how she half-way blamed herself for what happened, wondering if things would have been different if she'd been with them, that really hurts. (Because I think Millie would have said many of the same things to Kenny later that she said to Brady in Algeria, which really makes her comments to Kenny about Our Baby "Do as I say, not as I do.")

And then even once Millie is known to be alive and at Stalag Luft III, it's not like Curt and Dickie could write to Millie. The situation would be even more impossible for them than for Kenny because they evaded capture by the Germans. It was slow, but Fonda could pass on news from Kenny in her own letters. It would probably be too dangerous to even mention Curt and Dickie by name.

I think Curt and Dickie would be relieved that she had another good crew to look out for her, but I can imagine Curt still being a bit proprietary over her. She's her own person and VERY capable at what she does, but still ... she's his engineer ... in the vein of what Curt shouts up to Brady in Stymie before Regensburg (“You’d better bring me my engineer back in one piece!”).

Curt and Dickie would also be absolutely horrified at what happened to her post-Munster and pre-Stalag Luft III. Even if she weren't their friend and their engineer, what was done to her was horrifying and wrong (and violated the Geneva Convention, I'd think) on so many levels. And given his personality, I could almost see Curt going red in the face, blowing smoke out his ears, and being like "Let me at 'em!"

I think Curt would be surprised by Millie's relationship with Brady but not disapproving, though I imagine there would be some vetting and an ... intense ... shovel talk involved. Sort of the overprotective big-brother vibe, especially since Curt was like 7.5 years older than her. Dickie--I think you could easily go either way on whether he has an inkling about Millie and Brady even as far back as the trip over from America in June 1943.

“Once she’s done dancing with Brady …” Dickie added mischievously. Talking with the two boys was like interacting with older brothers. One of them was always as happy to side with her to tease the other as they were to turn right back around and tease her if they had half a chance. Turnabout’s fair play, and what’s good for the goose is good for the gander, and all that.   “Now don’t go puttin’ it like that, Dickie,” Millie protested, infinitely glad that the three were just talking loudly enough to be heard over plane noises and not using the interphone. “Makes it sound like he’s sweet on me or I’m sweet on him or somethin’. He’s nice. He’s a gentleman, and his hands don’t wander, and we like talkin’ about music, and when we’re done dancin’, he buys me a coke, and that’s that. Nothin’ to write home ‘bout.” The last thing she wanted was any rumors starting about her friendship with a lieutenant. “I’m just teasing,” replied Dickie, slightly apologetically.

That would be the key passage for judging what Dickie knows. Is he teasing her just because? Or does he suspect something, gently tease her over that, and then back off when she doesn't respond how he might expect?

Regardless of whether he knew or not, Dickie probably leaves all the loud reactions to Curt, on whom he is generally a steadying influence, but he probably gives Brady his own shovel talk, and given what they say about the quiet ones, that might be the scarier of the two ... discussions.

Ooooooh, this is a really interesting question - essentially headcanoning my own character! Lol! I'm trying to think of what Play Nice Shigaraki headcanons I can reveal without spoiling anything/that hasn't already been revealed. Most of my Dust Daddy Bible (LOVE this btw, lol), is backstory that I can't totally reveal yet.

Alright, maybe I'll expand on/clarify some points that have shown up in the series.

Shigaraki didn't go straight from his birth family to AFO's care. He spent about three years in the foster system between then. He had a rough time in it (like many kids do), got in a lot of fights in school and at "home", faced a lot of bullying and abuse, and spent a lot of time on the streets. More details to come in story.

AFO is very aware of Shigaraki's initial extortion of MC - it was, in fact, AFO's intention for MC to be a little hookup for him. He didn't really care how it happened, if she'd be wow'd by money and status or would need to blackmailed, etc - and to be honest, he didn't really care. He could tell that Shigaraki needed an outlet and had tried to hire him hookers/take him to soaplands before, which Shigaraki vehemently rejected. So he figured an arrangement like this would work better.

His insomnia, night terrors, and memory loss are driven by PTSD and to be revealed mental illness. He's cycled a lot of different medications, but very little therapy. The reason for this is, also, to be revealed.

He and Spinner are the same year in college, but Spinner is actually two years older. Dabi is also older, but has a few overlapping GE's with Shigaraki. Shigaraki did know them both before college however, through circumstances that are still to be revealed. (¬‿¬)

Aaaaaand, I guess here are a couple of little fun ones too xD

He hates Hollywood blockbusters almost on principal, especially superhero movies (of course lol). He thinks they paint an unrealistically optimistic view of the world that makes people stupid. The same applies to rom-coms. He's a horror guy, through and through. And while he'll never admit it, MC definitely gets him into reality tv.

He's primarily a PC gamer. His Switch was actually probably his least-touched console pre-story. But since it was MC's main console, he got a lot more into it.

Writing is his worst subject. He has particular trouble with argumentative and creative essays. His best subject is, predictably, math.

While he has a lot of distaste for "popular kids"... he's super into cheerleading uniforms. That whole corruption kink thing. He wanted to go to MC's Sports Festival this year (about a month after they met) until he found out that she was not going to be part of the cheerleading demonstration (she was participating in main events with her club), and got kind of pissy about it.

Fem!Severus Snape - what it would have been like if Severus was born a girl

Note: I had them going over and over in my head for over a month and have to get it out my system somehow so here it is: my thoughts and opinions about it. Please keep in mind this is not edited, not one bit, so if you have anything to add I'm waiting for them in the comments and reblogs.

If Severus was born a girl...:

...her and Lily's bonding as kids wouldn't be considered creepy, on the contrary, it would probably be encouraged by the adults and the staff at Hogwarts once they figure out Severus is lonely.

...the maurauders might or might not pay her any attention. If the former is the case, their bullying would be even more disturbing, though unfortunately being born into poverty, Severus still doesn't have the influence to change much even if she's born a girl. She still would practice dark spells and duelling in order to protect herself, her signature probably being The HalfBlood Princess.

...she would still hang out with the future Death Eaters, and her and Lily's fight would still happen. There's nothing that could change that, not even the gender in which she is born.

...she'd still be a potions nerd, Slughorn would still invite her to his club, and instead of Lucius as a protective shadow she had Narcissa (this last part is obviously more headcanon than canon but it's close to my heart and I'll keep it)

...she wouldn't be a Death Eater straight from graduation. She isn't pure enough and bold enough as Bellatrix or Alecto are, so Severus is glad to be helping the Dark Lord without being an official recruit, same as we see Narcissa and probably same as other pureblooded women.

...she still spies on Dumbledore and finds about the prophecy, still shares it with Voldemort, and like in canon she makes an oath to Dumbledore to protect Lily and becomes a double spy. Voldemort promises her a Dark Mark when he returns but he doesn't, Dumbledore makes her a teacher, Lily and James still die and little Harry survives. The difference is that Severus' change of coats wouldn't be seen as a tragic romantic gesture, it would be just about women solidarity, about deeply caring for someone that was your friend even though it's unrequited for years at that point. Her choice of neglecting Harry when asking for Lily's protection would be valid because he's the child of her ex-bully, a constant reminder of her childhood torments.

...ten years later, Harry arrives for the first time at Hogwarts and she feels responsible to keep an eye on him from the shadows. Voldemort begins his attempts of returning and one faithfull night during the Triwizard Tournament he succedes. Severus doesn't have a mark to burn her but had heard the gossip and rumours between ex-Death Eaters so she knows the Dark Lord is back. She's still tortured when she joins him because her lack of a Death Mark doesn't excuse her tardiness, but Voldemort keeps his word and the night ends with her receiving the long dreaded Death Mark. Then she's one of the few women joining the ranks of Death Eaters.

...she still kills Dumbledore to save Narcissa's child, still gives Harry Griffindor's sword and by this point she's tired so when Voldemort summons her at the Battle of Hogwarts she senses her demise approaching and doesn't flinch. She gives her memories to Harry while she's succombing in a pleasant darkness.

...the story doesn't change much, only little details here and there, details that don't influence the narrative, only people might perceive her differently through this lense.

Dumbledore's and Voldemort's manipulation wouldn't be overlooked, and her interest in the occult magic wouldn't be seen as dangerous because she's a woman.

1) probably London 🤧 I've been twice and I can't get enough. Ik they're the devil, but I love the weather, the accents, taking the Tube, all of it 🙌🏽 Tower of London is a must when I go there. Idk why, that place has centuries of blood soaked into its walls, but today? it's so fn peaceful. Ugh, the amount of writing i could get done in a month with all expenses paid would be atrocious 🥲

If not there, if I had to choose a place I'd never been 🤔🤔 maybe Greece or Spain. Them afternoon siestas sound right up my alley 😌

2) Oof, its definitely hard to find voices for my original characters. But talking it through with my support helped me navigate that. When it comes to fanfic 🤔 I'd have to say the hardest was.....probably King Ghezo. There's so little we got of him in the movie and I'm not familiar with a lot of African nuances so I hope I did him justice 🥲 i also may or may not have a new fic idea with him 😌

I will say (and never, i mean NEVER do this) that I've been known to scrap an entire fic if the voice isn't right. I had gotten a few thousand words into a David Kane fic and juss couldn't find his voice for that fic. So i scrapped it 🥲 ive also written 10k words into a vampire Terry fic to realize that it wasn't working for me. I haven't scrapped it, but I will pick and choose paragraphs outta that. Never do that yall. I'm juss picky bout my writing 🫣 what I've noticed is that if im having trouble finding the voice, it's chuz im trynna write them against my own headcanons. Once that clicks, i can find a more suitable way to approach the fic.

3) Starting with the tough questions I see 🥲 if I feel like giving up, if I'm down about my writing, I reread comments and reblogs. That's why commenting and reblogs are so important. They're that little boost I need fr 🥹 I usually get out of my head by talking to my friends, bf, or do something completely unrelated to writing. I'll catch up on movies or shows, sew, go play with my dogs, etc. I give myself that break my brain desperately needs, for however long that may be, and that's when I usually get a spark of inspo, a new idea, or gain that confidence back to get back into it 😍
