I did not mean to go this hard on this, I just wanted to draw Raphael looking cute,,,,, but here we are,,,,, I did a different shading technique on this than I usually do bc I wanted to experiment with other brushes- not what I'm used to but I wanted to go for a softer effect. Also I keep doing this thing where I'll draw the sketch and then just clean up all the lines to the point it looks like proper lineart?? I find it so interesting having this relationship be the first to end so early in a season while also having it feel so incomplete to the point that those two journalists told Oliver that it feels unfinished.

it's suspicious as hell (tinfoil hat on)! once again, it's breaking old patterns, and that's a core of the bucktommy relationship: setting new precedents. i can't think of a better way to break the mold that have buck fight for what he wants instead of passively waiting for instructions or for time to heal wounds enough that he can move onto the next meet-cute. why else purposefully frame the breakup as miscommunication?
