what really sucks is. i can feel my mood and my resilience returning bit by bit -- it's far from Good but it's DEFINITELY better than it was a few months ago -- but i can also feel The End Of The Year coming. which. is a bad time. every time.

#The End Of The Year starts around my birthday. #dwedit #doctor who #mrs flood #fifteenth doctor #the master #jacobi!master #tenth doctor #jack harkness #martha jones #twelfth doctor #ninth doctor #*#okay here is my argument: mrs flood IS a time lord but her presence here has nothing to do with the doctor #instead she's here because of ruby. she's seemingly part of/related to the pantheon of discord & we know that ruby is connected to them too #so i think that she was deliberately placed as ruby's neighbor by the pantheon/oldest one/ruby's mom/? in order to watch over her #it also explains why she was there to check on ruby in 1.04. once she realizes she's on the phone w carla she says 'nothing to do with me'#and she leaves. which implies that it COULD have had something to do with her. if it had been something else going on #ANYWAY. to get to the time lordness of it all. rn i personally believe that she's a time lord that's been hiding on earth for 50+ years #bc i don't think she recognized the police box as a tardis initially. that first quote should be taken at face value.#instead picture this: she's watching over ruby as per usual. a police box is there - weird but nbd. then it dematerializes in front of her.#she drops her groceries. she's shocked. she kinda looks scared. if she already knew it was a tardis why would she react like that?#so imo she knows OF tardises. she DIDN'T know the police box was one. and she's worried the time lords have found her hence the fear.#but when nothing happens and nobody comes at her she realizes she's still safe #later when she sees the doctor she realizes the tardis is his/he must be a time lord. he doesn't identify her but that's happened before #so then when she asks him who he is i think what she's actually asking for is his title. WHICH time lord are you.#bc lbr if she knows abt tardises then she knows about time lords and if she knows abt time lords she knows what it means for ruby #to be joining him - and that's why she wishes ruby good luck. meanwhile this is clearly the outcome she WANTS (them to be together)#bc she gets visibly upset when the doctor seems to decide to leave without ruby.#and for once i'm not master clowning bc the list of names the doctor gives out is VERY interesting. some of them we've never heard before:#the bishop; the conquistador; later he adds the pedant and sagi-shi and reiterates the bishop AGAIN. so i wonder if she's the bishop.....

The whole "breasts shouldn't be politicized because the primary purpose of breasts is to feed babies!" can be a fine jumping-off point, but I really wish people thought deeper than that when we talk about the ways in which bodies are politicized and restricted.

Like, why's it that when we talk about breasts, they must have some Higher Purpose? It's true that breasts aren't inherently sexual, but they aren't valuable solely because they can potentially feed a baby. A human body doesn't have to serve a Higher Purpose in order for it to not be legislated against or policed, and I just wish people would remember it isn't always about babies, about other people, about anything else other than the people who have that body.

#feminism #dysphoria tw #your body doesn't need to have an Intrinsic Worthwhile Purpose so that you can live without fear #and it is fine if people say this to criticize the way breasts are overly sexualized and fetishized or what have you...#...but i encourage people to not see this as an end-all-be-all argument #because this opens discussions about how we politicize bodies and how we interpret them #i see overlap between this and the way trans bodies are politicized and policed honestly #and i guess personally i'm just so tired of the idea that to be safe your body Must Have A Good Reason To Be #and i fear this may reinforce the idea that we Must Serve Purposes and Be Useful and Used #ask to tag (genuine)#and what would this say for childless people? or people who cannot bear children? if they have breasts are they 'useless bodies'#because i have seen the ways some people's bodies are treated when they do not 'work PROPERLY' and that scares me #it scares me to potentially start treating people with different bodies as Defective and Unworthy and Unproductive #and i don't always trust when people latch onto purpose-driven arguments for human bodies that it stops at that y'know #have seen some discussion amd whatnot so 👍#is it now time to clock put and be a silly goose yet?

The “I'm scared to let it go (it must be let go)” duo.#Loop and Mithrun are [REDACTED] [GO CHECK OUT THESE SERIES SPOILER FREE]#God I have so much to say about the Loop and Mithrun parallels. I won't here because I refuse to spoil people on ISAT.#What I *will* say is that both these characters had a similar curve in my interest in them.#Which is “I was ambivalent until the near end - where they then shot up to become some of my favourite characters ever.”#We love characters with an incredible arc that reframes them so intensely that you the reader will never be the same after.#Anyways! (rotates both these crossovers in my head at a rapid orbit and gazes at them fondly).#This is my sandbox and I get to eat the sand!!!#I've got some MDZS/ISAT swap content coming soon as well. I find it funny that for 2+ years Hades game fans speculated why Apollo wasn't in the game and the most popular theory was that he didn't want any drama with Achilles (some even saying that he'd be scared of Achilles) but turns out that he just. didn't give a fuck about Hades' family.
