Danny was sitting cross-legged on his bed, sipping a soda while reading over one of Tim’s million texts about ghost technology. Jason had texted earlier to warn him that “Tech Boy’s enthusiasm can be dangerous,” and Danny was starting to believe it.

Then his phone buzzed with a message from yet another new number.

Unknown Number: Hey, are you Danny?

Danny groaned, setting his drink down.

Danny: ...Yes? Who’s asking now?

Unknown Number: I’m Dick. Jason and Tim wouldn’t shut up about you, so I thought I’d say hi.

Danny blinked.

Danny: Wait, let me guess. Another one of the Bat-family?

Dick: Guilty as charged. I’m the oldest, so I have to make sure Jason and Tim aren’t harassing you too much. They’re... persistent.

Danny: That’s one way to put it.

Dick: So what’s your deal? Jason said something about ghosts and a billionaire villain?

Danny: Ugh, yeah. That’s the gist of it. My life is basically one long supernatural sitcom, featuring a half-ghost me, an undead billionaire weirdo, and a lot of property damage.

Dick: Sounds wild. Do you ever get a break?

Danny: Not really. Ghosts don’t exactly take vacations.

While Danny and Dick were chatting, Tim and Jason were having their own conversation.

“Did you seriously give Dick Danny’s number?” Jason asked, staring at his phone.

“Why not?” Tim replied, not looking up from his laptop. “He’s part of the family. Besides, Danny could use more normal conversations, and Dick’s the most sociable.”

Jason snorted. “Dick’s about as ‘normal’ as a flying acrobat who fights crime in spandex can get.”

Back on Danny’s end, the conversation had taken an unexpected turn.

Dick: So, are you into acrobatics? Or martial arts?

Danny: Uh, I mean, I’ve fought a lot of ghosts. Does that count?

Dick: Definitely. Fighting’s a skill. Jason said you’ve got powers too?

Danny: Yeah, I can go intangible, invisible, and shoot ectoplasm. Oh, and I can fly.

Dick: Flying? Okay, I’m officially jealous. That’s way cooler than grappling hooks.

Danny: It’s not all great. Flying makes you a bigger target when you’re fighting people who can fly too. Or when you’re dodging ghost lasers.

Dick: Fair point. But still, flying’s gotta feel amazing. Have you ever raced anyone?

Danny grinned at the question.

Danny: Not really. But I think I’d win. I’m pretty fast.

Dick: Challenge accepted. If we ever meet, I’m racing you.

Later that evening, Jason’s phone buzzed with a group chat notification.

Group Chat Name: Danny Phantom Appreciation Club

Members: Jason, Tim, Dick, Danny

Danny: What is this?

Tim: A group chat. Easier than texting us all individually.

Jason: It was Tim’s idea. Don’t blame me.

Dick: Hi, Danny! Welcome to the club.

Danny: You guys are insane.

Jason: And you’re stuck with us now, Little Ghost.

Danny: Why do I feel like this is the start of something terrifying?

Dick: Because it probably is. But we’re fun terrifying.

Danny: ...I’m doomed, aren’t I?

Tim: Yep. Welcome to the family.

Danny couldn’t help but laugh, shaking his head. For all their chaos, the Bat-family was growing on him. Maybe having them around wouldn’t be so bad after all.

Hazard x Reader [NSFW WARNING]

A/N: The amount of piercings that I put on this guy is insane he probably looks like a pin cushion, SHIT his pp also might look like a pin cushion. BUT AM I COMPLAINING???? No, not at all :], part 2 may be my first AO3 post.

Summary: you got curious about Hazards piercings…a little too curious…

“You’ve been starin' at me all night” he teased, one brow quirkin’. “Somethin' ye wanna get off yer chest?”

You hesitated, fiddlin’ with the hem of your shirt before blurting, “How many piercings do you even have?”

Hazard’s grin widened. “Aye, so that’s what ye’ve been wonderin' about, eh? Buckle up, Love. Ye’re aboot to get the full tour.”

He reached up to tap his ears first. “Let’s start simple. Got the lobes done when I was a wee bairn—thought it made me look tough.” He laughed, shakin’ his head. “Turns out I was just a wee punk wi’ bad decision-makin’ skills.”

Then, without hesitation, he added, “Oh, and I’ve got these too.” He pointed to his lower lip, where two piercings rested—snake bites. “These were more for fun than anything else. Bit o' a rebellious streak, y’know?” He grinned, the piercings catching the light.

You didn’t even get a chance to respond before he lifted his hand to the bridge of his nose. “And this one” he said, tapping the thin bar of metal across the bridge of his nose. “Thought it added a bit o' character. Not exactly comfortable, but it suits the vibe, right?”

Hazard let the information hang in the air for a moment before he tugged at the hem of his tank top, pullin’ it up just enough to expose his toned chest—and the metal glintin’ from his nipples. Your eyes widened, and he chuckled at yer reaction.

“These?” He grinned as he let the tank top fall back into place. “Bet gone wrong” He chuckled. “The piercin' part sucked, but they’re surprisingly fun. Just don’t yank on ‘em, or we’ll both be in trouble.”

Ye were still recoverin' from that reveal when he pulled down the waistband of his pants just a little, showin' off the piercings on either side of his hips. “Lost another bet for these” he admitted with a shrug. “Apparently, I’m really shite at poker. But hey, they add to my charm.”

Before ye could respond, he leaned closer, stickin' out his tongue. That’s when ye noticed it—split right doon the middle. He flicked one side, then the other, the movement so precise it left ye momentarily speechless. Then, ye caught sight of the piercin' glintin’ on one side of the split.

“This one?” He clicked the piercin' against his teeth, smirkin’ as yer jaw dropped. “Got the tongue split just for the hell of it. The piercin’? That’s just the cherry on top. People never expect both, but that’s kinda the point.”

Ye stared, yer words stuck in yer throat as he flicked his tongue again, the piercin' catchin’ the light.

“Oh, and ye missed these.” Hazard grinned, running his hand over his collarbone, and sure enough, there were two surface bars on either side, the metal gleaming under the light. “Got these a while back. Had a bit o' fun with the placement. Kinda a pain to heal, but totally worth it.”

Then, his eyes twinkled as he gave a mischievous smile. “Oh, and there’s one more thing I’ve never told ye about.” He leaned in closer, his voice low and teasing. “A Prince Albert. Ever heard o' it?”

You blinked, confused. “A… what?” You stammered, trying to make sense of what he had just said.

Hazard chuckled, clearly enjoying the confusion on your face. “A Prince Albert, mate. It’s… well, a bit much to explain here. But hey, if yer curious, I wouldn’t mind showin' it to ye later.” He winked, a playful smirk dancing on his lips.

Your face flushed as you quickly tried to move past it. “Uh… yeah, maybe later” you muttered, not quite sure how to respond.

after lying awake thinking about what he’d said, you finally decided you couldn’t let it go. You knocked softly on Hazard’s bedroom door, your heart pounding with a mix of curiosity and nervousness.

“Who’s knockin’ at this hour?” Hazard called from inside, his voice muffled.

You swallowed hard. “It’s me” you replied, trying to sound casual. “Can I talk to you for a second?”

The door creaked open, and Hazard stood there with a raised eyebrow. “What’re ye doin' up this late, mate? Somethin' on yer mind?”

You took a deep breath, trying to calm your nerves. “I was thinkin' about what you said earlier” you started. “About the… Prince Albert thing.”

Hazard’s smirk returned immediately, and he leaned against the doorframe. “Oh? Ye finally curious, eh?”

Your face burned, but you pushed through, trying not to let the awkwardness get the best of you. “Yeah… uh, I was wondering… if ye wouldn’t mind showing it to me, like you said.”

Hazard’s grin widened, clearly amused. “Oh, ye want the full tour, huh?” He stepped back, gesturing for you to come in. “Alright, mate. If ye’re up for it, come on in.”

You stepped into Hazard’s room, feeling the weight of the moment settle in. The door clicked shut behind you, leaving the two of you alone in the dimly lit space. Hazard was still leaning against the doorframe, eyes sparkling with amusement as he watched you closely.

“So, ye really want to see it, then?” he teased, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

You nodded, still unsure if you were entirely ready for this, but something about the casual way he was handling it made you feel a bit more at ease. "Yeah, you mentioned it earlier, and now I'm curious” you said, trying to sound more confident than you felt.

Hazard chuckled softly, the sound low and smooth. “Alright, love Just don’t blame me if it leaves ye a bit flustered, yeah?” He grinned, clearly enjoying the situation.

He walked over to the side of the room, pulling off his shirt and revealing the tattoos that lined his torso. With a quick, almost theatrical movement, he unbuttoned his pants just enough to reveal the piercing. You could see the faint outline of a small metal ring through the waistband of his boxers, but it was clear he was waiting for you to take the initiative.

“Go on then” he said with a wink, “Take a closer look.”

Welcome back, everyone who’s been waiting! The fun is back on!

Sorry for the long break—we had a “family flu party,” and let me tell you, babies are insanely demanding when they’re sick (yes, I have a family and a life outside of Tumblr—I know, shocking XDD).

But here I am, ready to dive back in!

Yes! I totally agree! I love worldbuilding! Only 9 episodes per season was a crime for me from the beginning, even with 7 seasons (I'm generally not a fan of a lot of seasons with a small number of episodes - 12 episodes per season is the minimum for me). BUT - it's 63 episodes total. And it's quite a lot. And if you're a good writer, that's completely enough to show the world in a way that's satisfying for both the creators and the viewers. 63 episodes is more than some great anime series or other animated series have (for comparison Avatar: The Last Airbender has 61 episodes and The Legend of Korra has 52 and both felt complete to me). It seems that 7 seasons of 9 episodes is not enough, precisely because it's fragmented like that. And let’s not even talk about that nonsensical time skip between Arc 1 and Arc 2. A 2-year timeskip was way too much and it seriously disrupted the plot line. Arc 1 had much better pacing, narration, and information delivery overall (Arc 1 >>>> Arc 2 in every possible way. I’m the biggest Arc 2 hater out there).

For such small series, time is key. This is actually one of the biggest opponents for creators (right after the lack of interaction with the fandom - the silent on official Twitter since season 3 was a shot in the foot, and I don't mean sharing promotional materials, but interacting with the fandom, you know, replying to comments, birthday posts, memes...). The 3-year hiatus was a killer. I don’t care if it was due to the pandemic, Ehasz drama, or changes at Wonderstorm—3 years of vague “it’ll come soon, so stfu and stop asking” was just unacceptable. Especially since the first three seasons came out within a year. (I started this series when I was finishing high school, and now I’m 25 with a baby. Like… WTF.)

NOW, MOVING ON TO THE JUICY STUFF:

That whole „we all loved him, but suddenly it turned out that for thousands of years he was making some revolutions, so we locked him up." was a sarcastic paraphrase of what she says in S4. Anyway, Zubeia ends the story by saying that "every great crisis the world faced" was actually Aaravos' doing. She probably meant civil wars, but honestly, you could totally call them revolutions. The changes in Xadia that came about as a result of those wars were certainly revolutionary, especially for this continent and the laws it operates under. And we're told that he was imprisoned specifically for that. Zubeia presented it as conspiracies... but I’ve been around long enough and seen too much politics to to just believe that XD. Aaravos says he’s innocent, and while I take his words with a grain of salt, I’d still like to hear his side of the story. Aaravos seems to be very politically ambivalent. What the dragons and other rulers of Xadia considered conspiracies and crises, may not have been so for him and others.

At the same time - saying that he was punished for Aditi's disappearance is a mistake, because the series shows that for thousands of years no one knew what happened to her. Khessa was the first. So going by that, probably no one even suspected that he could have had anything to do with it.

I know that imprisoning him was the only option to control him, but it's still cruel. That’s not a critique of the story—just my empathy for him. 😭

The Orphan Queen plotline pisses me off every time. Seriously, the last thing I’d do is trust a teenage human girl with no evidence, and then let a human mage help imprison the most powerful being in the world. If they hate humans and especially human mages so much, then be consistent. Maybe try thinking things through? Because that could’ve easily been a human conspiracy against the elves and dragons.

This is interesting because according to the timeline presented at Comic Con in 2019, Sol Regem was the first Dragon King of Xadia. Wiki also mentions he became an Archdragon after mastering the Sun, which qualified him to be King. So either the timeline ignores earlier rulers, or the royal hierarchy of dragons does not only concern the line of eventual rulers of Xadia.

Why do I assume Aaravos had significant political influence? Let me explain. Obviously, this is just my theory. Startouch elves were the first elves of Xadia. Plus, there’s this constant narrative that, while they’re elves, they’re also something more - Some higher being. Like gods. Aaravos is one of the Great Ones, one of the first elves in Xadia. And they say he’s one of the last (whether that means the last Great One or the last Startouch elf in Xadia is unclear). Still, if he was beloved by humans, elves, and dragons, it seems clear he must’ve had some political role. If Startouch elves are seen as higher beings, their political opinions would carry immense weight. I’m not saying Startouch elves were the original rulers of Xadia, but I like to compare their role to that of the clergy in medieval European politics. They didn’t rule directly but were the most important advisors. Their opinions mattered most, right after the king’s. And even the rulers tried to please them first. So, assuming Aaravos had substantial influence over Xadia’s politics seems fair to me. His voice must’ve—or should’ve—mattered. Whether he stayed politically active while he had Leola is another question. Still, I think he would’ve had enough influence over Xadia’s ruling bodies to threaten Sol Regem.

Sure, I get your perspective. I’ll stick with my interpretation because it just makes a bit more sense to me. Personally, I think his tone toward her was different from the way he spoke to the other dragons. For me, the energy and dynamic felt different. Especially since he really wanted her to suffer. But again, that’s just my theory, and I like to imagine it adds depth to the story. I think Aaravos feeling particularly betrayed by Zubeia could stem from the idea that, as a woman, she should’ve been more empathetic to his perspective as a parent who lost a child tragically. It’s just a tasty little detail that adds perspective.

Aaron Ehasz confirmed that the Startouch elf in the S1E1 sequence is young Aaravos, before he became the Fallen.

I hope we get an Elarion arc in arc 3 (and that we don't have to wait 3 years for it...). I want it to expand on the story we already have. That’s basically all I’m expecting and waiting for right now.

When the creators talked about continuing the series, they always framed it as prequels and side stories (e.g., The Orphan Queen was pitched as a standalone series, book, or movie at Comic-Con 2019). Also, what we now call Arc 3 wasn’t supposed to exist until S6. Initial versions (during S4 promotion) assumed that the "Mystery of Aaravos" arc would end with S6, and S7 would be the final season (earlier there was also a narrative that S4 and S5 would be one arc, and S6 and S7 would be arc 3 - again Comic Con 2019, the period of S3 promotion). And sure, concepts change, but for me S7 will be the official end of the series until arc 3 is officially confirmed and promotion begins.

And sentimentally, the series ended for me with S3 anyway.

Honestly, I hoped that if they were going to kill him, they’d do it in some way tied to Leola. Like… this man has depression… there’s nothing left in the world he cares about (okay, except Claudia now, but Claudia will manage without him). At least let him die with dignity, for something he loves.

And seriously, Leola is such an important piece here. Even if she doesn’t come back to life, I think her story would deeply affect the decisions and choices of most of the characters… if they actually took the time to tell it properly.

Chilchuck analysis speedrun: As a hardworking half-foot who grew up poor and discriminated against and had his gullibility taken advantage of multiple times in his early adventuring days, Chilchuck thinks optimism is a dangerous flaw. He’s stressed and strict all the time because his job is noticing details like traps that could get everyone killed before anyone knows it, he takes the lives of everyone to be on his shoulders, and with the way he speaks about it that probably partly reflects how he felt about taking it upon himself to provide for his family too. His life’s always been pretty centered around work and has become even moreso now that his wife left and everyone is independent, and due to past events he’s very iffy with bonding with coworkers. He thinks feelings and job are a disaster mix. Like with his wife or with parties hiring him as sacrifice, being open or having good faith is vulnerability which can get you hurt, so he processes and shows all his stress as anger instead of worry. Doing strict dieting probably isn’t helping the irritability what with hunger, and on top of being a hunger suppressant alcohol might be the main stress reliever he has.

Hey!! So turns out a video I made between a certain “well beloved but highly sensitive/emotionally reactive T.V” and an “orange haired inkling-turned-human” has managed to sweep my YouTube channel and accumulate 100k VIEWS!! THAT’S A LOT OF PEOPLE ACTUALLY?? My most widely viewed video EVER to exist in this moment in time?? AAAAA?? Not even mentioning the various comments and staggering increase in subs! It’s so much more then what I expected or even prepared for—might even be the most impactful thing to happen for me this year <3

BUT THE POINT IS I’d been closely monitoring the YouTube growth through the entirety of October. It’s make me smile like a dork, gawk in astonishment, dance frantically in my room from the energy boosts, and grow courage to stop being so selective/self-conscious with what I wish to share with the world! It’s kept my ambitions going!

I needed to find some way to celebrate the occasion and express my thanks—because I can’t NOT acknowledge this milestone jksjskp. Typically I try to avoid getting tunnel visioned focusing on the metrics/numbers. Mr. Puzzles had already demonstrated how much those things can mess with the minds of creatives. Caring too much about chasing views or placing your artistic value in attention seeking gets damaging. But at same time…it’s hard to deny the sense of pride the 100k achievement has filled me with. I understand that reaching 100k views doesn’t immediately make me any “better” or “worse” then I was before. I’m still just me! It only helps me feel seen by others—and that’s all I really needed. To hear some nice words & receive reminders that my ideas are cared about. So thank you SMG4 fandom for that, seriously thank you.

Please accept this Mr. Puzzle drawing as a way of sharing the happiness around. He’s so entertaining. Love him for simply existing. So glad we can all collectively be super attached to him (and the rest of the SMG4 cast of course). Can’t wait to see more incredible artworks from the fandom :)

Just incase anyone is confused by my vague description over which “animated video” I’m referring to here—hopefully this photo will help clarify lol. It’s this one!! Sorry about not outright stating the title at the start, I got carried away with writing!!

I’ve been in an odd place mentally when thinking about it. Wondering to myself if any of the attention is deserved considering it’s not even fully colored and could be dismissed as “low effort” content (despite taking several days making it). It’s easy to get into a trap of comparing yourself to others and questioning how much of the videos success is based on your skills, sheer algorithm luck, or only because you used popular characters and catered to a specific fandom. And then judging yourself by looking at other peoples videos. I’ve seen several artists post higher quality works then my own but it somehow gets less views. So why did mine succeed when others (who should have gotten just as much attention if not more) didn’t? Sometimes you feel like you’ve unfairly robbed them of that chance to be seen. However I’ve realized that I can’t ever expect views to be consistent—and comparing is pointless. So why worry about it or feel inadequate? I mean it’s pretty common for funny cat videos to go viral, so who am I to question the system lol. “Popular” YouTube videos can range from a passion project which took 7+ artists…to a clip of Toad singing Chandelier or a nonsensical Vine sketch. Anything can happen when it’s the internet! And just-so-happened my video was chosen. I should stay glad about that and get rid of all the overanalyzing. So that’s what I’ve chosen to do :)

malos xenoblade is an insane character tbh… he is a harbinger of death and destruction. he is as evil as it gets. he’s cocky, he’s brash, he’s theatrical to the point of camp, he feels nothing but joy at destroying the world. he doubts everything about his existence. he yearns for love and connection. he would dedicate his life to another person despite being effectively a god. he would ignore what he sees as his own purpose for the one that he loves. he can’t verbally express any of this quite literally until he dies, if even then. literally nobody does it like him, i’m so obsessed
