I placed an order today for some saplings and bare root berry bushes for the spring and it’s making me so excited!! Last summer, when we visited my grandfathers cousin in Michigan, I had my first ever experience with thimbleberries and fell in love. I found out that they’re native to Ontario as well (even though I had never heard of or seen them here before) and found a small native plant nursery that sells them, so I am super excited to try growing some and hopefully can make and eat lots of thimbleberry jam in the future! We bought quite a few different things to try growing, and I’m so excited for all of them!
#a#we’re going to be planting them all at my grandfathers house because he has a huge yard and the perfect soil for them#I’m so so so excited#I also got an apricot seedling a champagne currant bush a blackberry bush and two hardy pecan trees#we also got a sweet chestnut that I’m excited about#we have three apples that we planted last spring and they’re doing so well! still a few years before they’ll bare fruit but still so excited#and the bees are there which is really nice

I think we as a society should bring back brotps. I think we should be weirder about characters being friends the same way people are weird about ships. Make those two characters who interacted once or twice besties. Make it difficult for them to get rid of each other even if they want to. Go nuts
