Not rly but it’s kind of over anyway ah. I wont go into it but I’m okay 😵‍💫.

BUT, I have not…. (Well, the last time that I’d even touched OP was decades ago (when I was in middle school, I remember watching it on 4kidz ahh.

I remember that old lady with the blue hair? She had the body of a young woman or something like that? I think she used to look after Chopper??? Idk… I remember getting emotional over some episode even though I didn’t know what was happening since I’d turn the channel most of the time whenever OP would come on. I just wasn’t really into it. I remember thinking that pirates were lame as hell back (probably because of the excessive advertisement of “Pirates of the Caribbean,”) when I was a kid so I just never cared about it and Naruto had already completely rewired my brain at that time 😬.

I also remember thinking that the anime I watched on toonami and adult swim was for “adults,” while 4kidz was for little ones so that way of thinking at the time probably heavily influenced my aversion from OP. As of right now? I don’t hate it anymore (I used to mainly because I’ve always found Oda’s art to be rather ugly (I still do……) to me even though his colorful spreads have always been pretty detailed and fun to look at in passing.

The way that he draws fingers and toes… imo, reminds me of booty fingers, sorry. If you don’t know what “booty fingers,” are, don’t even bother looking them up. And I HATE looking at fingers/toes like that so I can definitely recall thinking “I can’t read this shit, look at the booty fingers that every character has 🤢-“ I’m dramatic as hell, sorry, anon. All this over some ugly fingers… and ugly style (okay, it’s not that bad but man…. I used to have sm white-hot hatred for OP as a child.)

I’ve promised friends that I would give it an honest chance one of these days… I already know all of the main characters names and Zoro and Law have been favs of mine for a long time solely based off of aesthetic and design even tho I don’t know them ahh. Yamato 😭……. I want to draw him one of these days… so cool. My history with OP, despite not caring for it, has been extensive and just as long as Naruto if I’m being honest. Like 2005 (I probably watched OP before ever even learning what Naruto even was if I’m remembering correctly ☠️…)

kyojuro x reader (in which you make up a break-up)

warnings: miscommunication, prank (accidentally) gone too far, angst?

"i think it's best if we don't see each other anymore."

kyojuro freezes. he'd been in the middle of cleaning his sword, wiping away the remains of the demon he had slain during his last mission, when you dropped that bomb on him. you don't even have the decency to look at him, sitting across from him with your eyes closed and your legs crossed like his. practicing your breathing, supposedly.

"what do you mean by that?" he asks slowly, very sure he's heard you wrong. his hearing has always been a little faulty ever since that one disastrous mission. "you're my successor! we could hardly not see each other anymore, your training is nowhere near complete. unless one of us goes blind!" he smiles, and you blink open your eyes. you don't look as amused as he hoped you would.

"i mean we should break up," you say bluntly, and that. that slaps the tentative smile right off his face. for a long moment, it's silent.

"ah," he says, quiet. his gaze flicks away, down to his sword, and he mindlessly starts cleaning it again before his hands start to shake. he forces his lips upward again, ignoring how they tremble. "i... if that's what you truly want, i understand! i will not pressure you to change your mind! you know what you desire better than anyone!" and he doesn't say any more, scrubbing the rag over the blade over and over and over again.

"okay," you say shortly. "thank you for understanding, rengoku." he gives a single nod, and you close your eyes again. rengoku. you only called him that when he was in trouble. otherwise, it was always kyojuro or even kyo.

it stings.

it stings a lot, even more than the bite the demon had taken out of his leg during the mission. in fact, his heart hurts so bad that he doesn't even notice when his eyes start to sting as well until tears are dripping onto his sword, smearing when he tries to rub them away.

"i'm just," you start to say, and then you inhale sharply, cutting yourself off. he doesn't hear what you say next, because he sobs at the sound of your voice, and his sword falls to the ground in his haste to scrub away the shameful, selfish tears. when he feels your hands on his shoulders, he jerks away.

“i’m fine, i’m okay!” he insists loudly, dodging your touch again when your fingers brush his cheek. he’s trying so hard to keep the smile on his face that it only makes his eyes water more. “i’ll stop in a moment, i apologize for this!” his voice wobbles, and he roughly scrubs at his face for it, trying to tamp the emotions down. he isn’t even entirely sure why he’s crying like this. you’re still his successor, and you’re not so cruel as to treat him coldly even after you break up. he knows you’ll still be friends at the very least. it’s not as if you’ll really never see each other again.

but you were his first, the only one he dared to let in so deep into his heart even though he knows the risks, because he believed in you and your ability to stay alive. he believed you would succeed in becoming a pillar, flame or otherwise, and just like a moth to a flame that spark inside you drew him in. you were natural friends, slipping into dating territory without either of you having to ask.

(”dating” being a relative term, of course. neither of you have much time to indulge in silly, normal dates, so you steal kisses, stay for dinner, and spend the night when you can.)

he feels like a child again, freshly abandoned, scorched inside with grief and burned outside from the flames he recklessly practices with. only this time, the external burns are your fleeting touches as you try to calm him down, saying words his ears refuse to let him process.

“i’m fine, i’m fine,” he persists, hoarse now that he’s nearly cried out, and you fall quiet. his entire face feels hot, a mixture of his aggressive rubbing, the usual post-breakdown flush, and shame. you’ve given up on helping, standing worriedly at his side with your hands wringing. you watch him take shuddering breaths, somehow still with that damned grin on his face that looks nothing but painful. 

“i apologize,” kyojuro begins, because he knows all his crying did was make you feel guilty and the last thing he wants is to make you feel responsible for him and his silly emotions.

“it was a joke,” you say weakly, and he blinks, water catching on his lashes as he gazes at the wall.

“what was that?” he asks, tugging the handkerchief from his breast pocket. you open your mouth, but then he blows his nose, loud and obnoxious, and you shut it again. you wait until he folds it back up, sniffing once, before he grips his knees with his eyes so wide that if you didn’t know any better you’d think he was waiting for someone to cut his head off. “i don’t think i heard you correctly. can you repeat that?”

“it was a joke,” you say again, lamely. “i-i didn’t expect you to take it so hard, especially not that fast. i thought you were gonna act all pouty and give me those sad eyes that you get whenever i don’t share my sweet potatoes with you. then i’d say i was kidding, and we’d kiss and laugh ‘cause we’re too perfect together for that to happen. it was supposed to be funny. i’m not that good at lying, kyo.” you kneel next to him, bowing your head. “i’m sorry.” even as the silence stretches, you don’t dare look up.

“well,” he rasps, and you jolt when you feel a warm hand fall on your head, “i suppose i’m just that terrible at understanding jokes!” when you dare to lift your eyes, he’s smiling at you. genuinely this time, small and still mildly tearstained. “there’s no need to apologize! i was the one who overreacted!”

“kyojuro,” you nearly whine, because he’s only making you feel worse. “it was a mean prank in the first place, don’t you dare start apologizing to me. i’m the one who should be apologizing.” he chuckles, his hand sliding to your upper arm and tugging gently, and you immediately lean into him. he wraps his arm around your shoulders, nose pressed to the top of your head, and you loop your arms around his waist.

“if you say so! i won’t argue with you!” he brings his other arm up, and then he’s practically shuffling into your lap, squeezing you tightly. you let him, even though he’s heavy and nowhere near acceptable lap-sitting size, because you can still feel him shaking and you know he needs the comfort.

“i really am sorry,” you mumble against his shoulder, fingers toying with his belt. “i’ve never seen you cry like that.”

“i’ll forgive you,” he says, “under one condition!” you don’t hesitate to nod. right now, you’d probably do anything he asked, if only to ease the massive pit of guilt in your stomach just a little. he pulls back, hands gripping your shoulders, and gives you another smile. more of a smirk, really. then he leans close to your ear, hot breath ghosting over your skin, and you shiver.

“never, ever leave me,” he whispers, lips brushing your ear when he speaks. “otherwise...” you close your eyes, feeling your cheeks warm, but force yourself to keep still. he sighs, pressing his nose into the crook of your neck, his hands slowly wandering down to your sides. “otherwise, i’ll cry. i’ll cry myself to death! then you’ll really be sorry!” his fingertips dig into your sides, and you gasp and jolt at the sharp, ticklish pain.

you really should’ve known.

“kyojuro!” you halfheartedly shove at his chest, and he falls back, laughing. his voice is still a little thick, and his eyes are raw and he’s still shaking like a leaf, but he leans in and kisses you anyway. that’s all the forgiveness you two need for now.

(he tastes like salt.)

Ok so yeah that cop is fully sus lmao I really do think that line is just a line, I didn't read it as eo bait in any way. Like. Yeah there are plot twists coming but they're gonna be plot twists.

Kathy being involved in anyway was always a stretch like gosh that is fun to think about but it would be so extra and they don't have time for all that. And eo...listen. I fully think eo is endgame but I think it's endgame endgame. Like I don't think we'll get anything until the very end of svu. Do I want more??? God yes!!!! Tptb love to say established relationships aren't interesting to fans but that's a lame excuse from someone who doesn't want to do character work. Building a relationship - esp one with this much baggage - is compelling if done correctly. It would be incredible to watch this play out with eo. I would love to be proven wrong but I don't see them doing it tho.

Can I tell you what I want that's never gonna happen but is a lot of fun for me to think about? I want Wheatley to go after Liv. Maybe he's been keeping an eye on Elliot and he's noticed her and after all he obviously has dirty cops on his side. I don't want him to hurt her but for him to recognize that she's important to El and try to use her as leverage?? God that would be fun lmao

Hi! I’m so sorry about the late reply. D: I hope you don’t mind if I take this opportunity to address all the anon messages about how we can improve as artists. 

I have a tough time answering this question because there is so much I need to learn. I’m super flattered that some of you feel that my art is good enough to ask me for tips, first of all!! So thank you, guys.

It’s a struggle because I only recently started taking up art again. So I’ve forgotten a lot of the things. So I’m probably not the best person to ask about this.

I used to draw all the time as a kid, but after high school, I stopped drawing. I stopped drawing for almost a decade, pretty much. I really regret it. I feel like I could have come such a long way if I did keep going. My parents really discouraged me from pursuing art, even just as a hobby, too. Even when I left home (I’m back now tho), my ex-spouse, greatly discouraged me from doing art too. I mean, “proper” art. They told me my art wasn’t “real art” because it’s not studio art, it’s “sellout” art, like anime/cartoons/fanart. I had even worse self-esteem as I do now, and I listened to them and gave up. I convinced myself I hated drawing. 

Please don’t deny yourself things that make you feel engaged and connected. If drawing makes you feel good, if it makes you not realize how much time has passed and makes you feel like you’re accomplishing things, even little by little, please don’t stop. Even if you suffer from depression and feel like things like this are pointless, remember that just doing things in general will help you. Drawing is an awesome way to get into the flow state. To me personally, it’s almost like a meditative state and I find it helpful in dealing with chronic pain and mental health issues. 

Anyways, I’ll try to compile some advice sort of things.

ART IN GENERAL

1. Draw what you enjoy! I think the most important thing is to draw what you like. It’s okay if it’s “dumb stuff”. Draw your favorite characters or pairings from your favorite tv shows if that tickles your fancy! You’re much more likely to be spending more time drawing if you’re drawing stuff you like. And as long as you’re drawing, you’re improving. (But still, challenge yourself and get out of your comfort zone!)

Especially for those of you who are planning to pursue art as a career, it’s essential that you don’t view practicing art as a chore. 

2. Draw from life. If you really want to take your art to the next level, drawing from life is vital! I think many of us have come across artists who are just amazing, but there are things that look a little “off”. For example, the anatomy doesn’t look quite right, or the perspective is a little wonky. Things like that can be a tell that they’ve learned to draw from other people’s art rather than from life. Or just haven’t practiced the basics enough. (My art isn’t amazing or anything close to that lmao, but it definitely suffers from this. I need lots of life drawing practice.)

There is nothing wrong with learning from your favorite artists, but to really train your “artist’s eye”, you need to strip away all the stylistic choices and go back to the basics. Training that Eye is one of the most crucial things you could do as an artist. 

Just take a piece of paper, a pencil and start drawing what you see. If you can, take figure drawing classes at your local community college, or draw the animals you see at the zoo. Sit on a bench and draw the scenery in front of you. Over time, you’ll start to recognize common patterns, simplify/think of things in terms of lines and shapes.

If you can’t afford a class or have the ability to go outside easily, drawing from photographs can be the next best thing. (See the Resources below for an online figure drawing tool.) I’m not experienced enough to definitively say why this isn’t the #1 idea, but from what I hear, there are things that you’ll miss out on, such as subtle shifts in shadows, colors, and other things that will happen from small movements in pose changes, a cloud moving, or whatever else. A different “feel”, if you will.

With the digital art boom, a lot of artists are learning how to do cool digital effects and fancy things, but forgoing basic anatomy, perspective, shading, etc. Which is all fine if you’re just having fun, but isn’t the best idea if you’re really serious about improving. Practice the fundamentals!

(If you have been dreaming about CalArts at one point like I did when I was in high school, one advice I came across from everyone who went there was to draw from life. All the time. It’s not an answer I expected from people who draw funny looking characters all day. You mean all these people who draw such simplified cartoon people and animals can actually draw like masters? Perfectly rendered bowls of fruit? I didn’t realize how much work goes into animating simple characters.)

3. Put in the time. 

It’s really easy to get suckered into just watching “how to improve” videos all day and thinking about improving. Watching how other artists work is an important learning tool, but you’ll never actually make progress if you aren’t practicing. 

Sometimes, the best thing to do is to not think about it. Just do it. 

It’s like when I’m spending a whole lotta time thinking about getting physically fit than just, you know.. just doing it. “Tomorrow for sure.” 

It may seem like it’s worthless, but doing those lame 5 push-ups a day instead of the 20-minute workout you wanted to put in, is better than nothing at all. You are making progress, no matter how small it may seem.  

Make it a habit to practice every day. That way, you don’t even hesitate. It’s as automatic as brushing your teeth.

All the artists you see who have fantastic, awe-inspiring art may seem like Unreachable Gods sometimes, but those artists didn’t just pull that out of their ass one day. They put in hours and hours and hours of work. Let’s not disrespect other artists by ignoring that and chalking it up to “talent”. No one is born with an innate ability to draw. WE can get there too if we practice!

I want to get good enough to draw the things I have in my head one day!

Draw a Box - This is a site for free lessons for absolute beginners. Look under “Lessons” to learn. The creator of the site is the mod for r/ArtFundamentals. You can post your work there to get critiqued.

Check out Proko’s videos on gesture drawing, art fundamentals, etc. Daily routines of successful artists.

Use this site to practice figure drawing, gesture drawing - Set aside some time to practice drawing people and animals every day. Start trying to see things as lines, shapes, and go big. Don’t get too caught up in the details, and tiny drawings. Learning to draw fast (not draw FAST as in speed, but as in capture the gesture in a post, the “feel” of the movement) will force you to do this more, and with more experience, make your figures less stiff looking. 

And it’s okay if you’re aren’t good at it. You’ll make loads and loads of shit drawings until you can get decent. 

I’m most definitely in this stage right now, trying to train my Artist’s Eye. As in, I can’t just draw a figure from memory. I don’t really know what goes where without a reference, or how they move, etc. You can tell by how stiff my drawings look.

Lulusketches How to Improve video - She has similar advice, but her point about looking at “Art of” books something I have come across from multiple professional artists; Her advice on worrying about finding your own “style” is really good too. Do challenges like she said!

Her playlist of art tutorials & advice is great. They’re short and sweet. Her beginner digital art tutorial got me started on digital art (the one with Ginny Weasley). 

Not free ($30 a month), but these online Schoolism classes look helpful. It’s run by Bobbie Chiu. I saw some great reviews and I want to try them someday. They’re taught by artists in the animation/film industry. But you gotta have a basic grasp on digital art/photoshop for many of the classes, I think? I’m not 100% sure. They’re pre-recorded video lessons. 

You can pay more for feedback from the teachers, but you can also just use it as a self-learning guide. 

This drawing faces from any angle video was pretty helpful for me. The artist has loads of other tutorials.

COMICS

I don’t feel qualified enough to give much advice on comics. I mean, I don’t even draw the lines for the boxes, haha.. However, these comic books are basically required reading for some courses:

Scott McCloud’s Understanding Comics & Making Comics.

I can’t remember which one it is that I read, I think it was Making Comics? But wow, if I remember correctly, it was FULL of really useful things about how to make effective comics. I lost the book while moving years ago, but it was FANTASTIC learning material. I loved every panel of it. 

He talks about everything from perspective, placement of characters, speech bubbles, how big panels should be, etc. 

If you can afford it, get a used one and start reading! Even if you don’t want to make comics just yet, it’s super interesting.

Well than, good afternoon!

Hello fellow readers and welcome to another post of the ice breaker challenge, aka number 6! In the beginning of these questions and answers, it seems so long but it is not.

The sad days are falling upon us because ladies and gentleman, part 6&7 are the last post. Meaning all facts you’ll be seeing here shall be the last. Do not worry for the end is always a new beginning. Let’s just enjoy ourselves and share some of our facts to you.

Without further ado, let’s get into this!

1. You can have an unlimited supply of one thing for the rest of your life, what is it? Sushi? Scotch Tape?

Olivia: Honestly, food.

Haley: It would be the smartest idea to supply food because nobody know what life can give us. But honestly for me, I would like an unlimited supply of pens or paint.

Olivia: Why pens or paints?

Haley: For pens, I write a lot and sometimes I lose pens somewhere in my house. Now for paints, I just like to paint.

Olivia: Is there any painting you want to show?

Haley: Currently not at the moment, I’m working on it tho!

Olivia: I’m sure your painting is good.

Haley: Why thank you! Maybe one of these days we’ll show our art work. Your drawings are good.

2. What fruit or vegetable would you most want to be?

Haley: I always wondered what it’s like to be an orange.

Olivia: I want to know how it’s like as an pineapple.

3. If you could commit any crime and get away with it what would you choose and why?

Haley: This will sound lame but if I could commit any crime and get away from it, it will most likely stealing books from the Library or bookstore. The reason why is just books are so amazing and there never enough books. You, Olivia?

Olivia: This one is hard but probably my favorite artist’s concert.

Haley: A ticket you mean? How come?

Olivia: At one point, everyone might want to go to a concert but not have the money to buy it and like me, I don’t have the money to go.

Haley: That makes so much sense.

4. If you could choose any person from history to be your imaginary friend, who would it be and why?

Haley: It kinda hard to choose because I don’t really have anybody from history to be an imaginary friend. You Olivia?

Olivia: I don’t have anyone in mind to be my imaginary friend.

Haley: Guess we share the same thought.

5. If you could see one movie again for the first time, what would it be and why?

Haley: Definitely the Chronicles of Narnia. Narnia, I just love how they brought all the siblings together and it’s just interesting how these kids, human kids enter a whole new world full of magic, knights, kingdom and royalty. They were Princess and Kings! ( If I Remembered correctly, been awhile since I watched it..) Also the Lion, Aslan. I would love to see him again.

Olivia: I would want to watch The Sound of Music again. I didn’t get some parts in the movie because I was fairly young. But I did try to watch it again, but I remember what happened in the movie.

Park Chanyeol always prided himself as a guy who had immaculate intuition. Someone with great gut feel. That friend who always says, "I told you so.”

He always seemed prepared for everything; it was almost comical. Always had a plan, always knew what to say, always prepared. Until he met you.

Being late to his lectures was definitely not Park Chanyeol fashion. He silently cursed himself as he sped-walked toward his lecture theatre and, as luck would have it, bumped unceremoniously into someone. You.

"Fuck, I'm so sorr-" He started, but cut himself short when he saw your face. How had he not noticed anyone this beautiful in campus before? Your hair pushed back and tied up, your flyaways managed to be tamed by the amount of sweat on your forehead. Your eyes, bright and wide, as the two of you continued staring at each other in shock.

"I'm sorry, I should've looked at where I was going." You offered as an apology. You were quite proud of yourself for managing to spit the words out of your mouth because, wow, you have never seen a guy more beautiful than the stranger standing right in front of you.

It felt like one of those cliché romance novels where the main characters stare at each others eyes and marvel. It wasn't too far off from reality; it was exactly what you were doing at that moment in time. He, much like you, had been sweating profusely but, you had never seen anyone look this attractive while sweating. Ever.

"Yeah, uh, no trouble. It was my fault, really. I should've looked at where I was going," Chanyeol lamely replied. Inwardly cursing himself for having his first words to a pretty girl be a half-assed apology.

He felt his face heat up and felt his hands grow sweaty. Again, he cursed at himself. Chanyeol always prided himself as a calm, composed guy. Someone who had everything under control; always prepared. And this girl, quite literally, came out of nowhere into his life.

"I guess I'll see you around....?”

"Chanyeol. I'm Chanyeol.”

"Then I guess I'll see you around then Chanyeol," and with that, you bid the slightly starstruck boy adieu.

Chanyeol shook his head and quickly walked off into the direction of his lecture theatre, in the hopes of arriving on time, and mostly, vainly trying to get you out of his head.

After a rather long and tiresome lecture, where, Chanyeol literally did not learn anything as he had correctly guessed, he was busy thinking about you. And it occurred to him that he never got your name.

He was spacing out (something he didn't do often, damn you), when his train of thought was disrupted by the image of someone's palm coming into his line of vision.

"Jesus Yeol, what the Hell? I've been calling for you for the past five minutes! What's gotten into you?" Baekhyun's damning voice made its way into Chanyeol's ears.

Slightly dazed, Chanyeol stops in his tracks and (attempts) to recollect himself. He shakes his head slightly.

"Sorry, I've just been.. thinking, I s'pose.”

"About what? A girl?" Another friend, Jongdae this time, jokingly said.

"Yeah, as if. Chanyeol has as much game as my left foot," Baekhyun joked, but kept his eyes on Chanyeol, wanting to see if Jongdae was indeed, correct.

"It's really nothing. Forget it. Hey, isn't there this new cafe in town? I'm kinda hungry.”

"Seconded.”

After what seemed like hours of walking to the city centre, which was only a 15 minute walk in reality, the sweaty gang of boys had finally reached the new swanky cafe that has just opened. It was cute, to say the least. Everything was banana themed.

"Finally! I'm starving." Baekhyun all but groaned the moment they stepped through the doors of the chic bakery. The air-conditioned room was much appreciated escape from the sweltering heat outside.

The group of boys took a few seconds to fan themselves and cool down before walking towards the front counter to decide what to order.

Chanyeol quietly studied the overhead menu before deciding on a banana milk soft serve ice cream. And then his eyes trailed down to the front of the line to see..

You?

He shook his head. That couldn't be you, could it? But of course it was you, chatting with your friends who were also in line. He noticed how wide your smile was and how the apples of your cheek were slightly pink from the heat and he noticed the way your eyes turned into half-moons when you smiled too hard or when you were laughing at something silly your friend said.

He must’ve been staring for quite a while because, your eyes met and you gave him a tiny wave.

Chanyeol gulped and he waved back at you, slightly in a daze mostly because he didn’t believe he bumped into you here of all places.

“Who did you wave to?” Jongdae asked him.

“I knew it! You were thinking of a girl earlier!” Baekhyun cut off before Chanyeol could reply.

“Why didn’t you tell us? How long have you known each other? What’s her name?”

The taller male, well tallest actually, was about to retort before Baekhyun said something quite brilliant.

“Well, you can ask her now can’t you? Just casually slip over there and ask her for her name and get to know her and I dunno maybe score a date?” He ended his suggestion with a waggle of his eyebrows. 

“Y’know, coming from you that’s actually not a bad idea!”

“Thank yo- Wait a minute!”

Chanyeol didn’t get to hear the rest of their bickering because his feet was moving faster than his mind could think and his feet brought him right next to you.

You could feel his presence right next to you and you slowly turned to greet him, but of course, again, you were stunned by how good this man looked. It’s unfair really, for someone to be this cute, with his big eyes, his floppy ears, his really cute fluffy hair that you wanted to reach out and touch. 

“Hi,” you said.

“Hi,” he replied. “I never got your name earlier.”

“Oh! Right, I’m uh (Y/N)!” You tried not to let your nervousness show from your voice and you thought you did a pretty decent job.

Though, you couldn’t help the way your heartbeat quickened when he repeated your name, testing out the way it sounds on his tongue before he smiled at you and goddamn, you thought. You would definitely not mind if you saw that sight every morning when you woke up, and every night before you went to sleep. You were in serious trouble; having only met this guy today and you were already this whipped? But can you really blame yourself? He’s too cute.

Little did you know, Chanyeol was feeling the same way about you. He also realised, he had no idea what to say now. He didn’t really plan this far.

Thankfully, the cashier saved the both of you.

“Welcome to the Yellow Cafe! What would you two lovebirds like to order?”

“We’re no-”

“I’d like to have a banana soft serve ice cream please,” You turned to Chanyeol, eyes wide because, well, the cashier just called you two lovebirds and he didn’t deny it and this whole thing seems really rom-com-y right now.

“Sure! And what about your girlfriend?”

Taking in a deep breath to calm your heart, you managed to order a banana latte. Somehow Chanyeol had beat you to the payment. And somehow the two of you were seated together in a booth near the window. 

“Are we on an impromptu date or something?”

Chanyeol’s ears turned red at your question and you found it extremely endearing. He nervously ate his ice cream before replying: “Do you... not want it to be one?”

“No, I do want it to be one.”

Chanyeol, only having heard you saying no, sighed.

“Oh, I’m sorry I tho- Wait did you say that you.. wanted it to be a date?”

“Mhmm.”

This time, Chanyeol gave you the brightest smile you had ever seen and you thought it could give the Sun a run for its money. You liked it. You liked him. And you really wanted to see more of him.

“I would really like it if we could do this again,” you said.

“Me too.”

And this time, it was your turn to give him a dazzling smile.

Chanyeol was always prepared; until you, quite literally, came out of nowhere and that was probably the best unplanned thing to ever happen to him.

360. Didrik Solli-Tangen - “My heart is yours” Norway 2010

Oh god this is SO tragic. Didrik is one of the hottest guys in this ranking for me and I cannot stan him because this performance is terrible. 😭 Not a single note sung correctly. 😬 

Having said that, the song is some neo-christian, maudlin, You-Raise-Me-Up-esque saccharine schmaltz that I probably would dislike no matter how pretty the package, lol. Hits before dicks, y’all~

Apparently the people that made Kobi ‘someone’ are his former bullies 😬 Which he apparently never got over despite somewhat turning his life around??? 😬There’s certainly nothing wrong with realness but Kobi proves there’s something as “Too Real”. Knowing Kobi’s King-esque backstory makes “Home” more... pathetic as opposed to monstruous? 

That said though, I’m not sure WHY Israel (or anyone) would think “Sob Story” would work as an angle in 2K19, that shit has never worked before, nor will it ever, especially given that Kobi has an Actually Scary Meltdown each time he sings it (and this was brought up during the LIVE SHOW!!! as a PLUS!!!! 😬😬😬). Then again, this is what said meltdown looks like:

“Together” remains a tough call for me to rank because on one hand, I think it’s a deserving qualifier, mostly because the act elevated the song to a higer level. On the other, hand:

... it’s really evil and exploitative lol. 😬 Definitely a display of BAD taste, at least. So, I’ll settle with a middle ground of ranking it low, but not *as* low as several other evil entries, I guess. :shrug:

Ryan’s was definitely a case of inserting a homosexual angle in a song which didn’t require it, but every once in a blue moon a song will waltz in that makes me wish for a bit more heteronormativity. Enter Glen Vella. 

I find it hard to articulate *why* I find “One life” as irritating as I do, but I do, I do. I hate it like a fool. It’s one of those entries whose *only* angle is “hi I’m gay 🦄”, but it in such a tepid, lukewarm, unremarkable sort of way? Like, am I supposed to feel addressed or anything? Am I supposed to feel anything at all? It’s almost as though some straight dude had the idea of making a pro-LGBT entry but only had a theoretical knowledge of what the LGBT community actually likes? Whatever, another lame 2011 entry to chuck onto the evergrown pile of Suck, I guess.

Sometimes, I really feel as though Ireland have given up completely? And predictably, it ended up being your typical embarrassing late 2010s NQ fodder. It’s pretty bad tho. For instance if the song is called “Sunlight” then why use RED lights instead of white or yellow? (don’t tell me that BS of ‘but there’s an actual sun in the backdrop’ NOBODY ON THIS PLANET associates the sun with the colour red, period) Also that are these stupid ass lyrics? “sing like you feel it” Like, off-key? “Love like beginners” you mean clumsily, painfully and awkwardly? HONGSEOK The all rounder. HOnestLY he's so smart ! ! He exceeds in PE, languages and he's not bad at math it's unbelievable. The thing is, he doesn't look like that. On the outside, he's just that kid who tells lame jokes and ls the only one laughing at them. You would think he's only a dork but that changes when you see his grades. He dresses with showing lots of skin but boy owns it tbh. Keep staring at his biceps, he knows you are doing it anyway and everyone else too.

YANAN he's kinda invisible buT HE'S SO BEAUTIFUL. Like wow you'll catch yourself staring at his face bc its ? Flawless ? He's so smart actually tbh everytime he answers a question in math you're confused asf. He's so cute but he never talks :-(. He's funny w/o even trying and probably judges everyone tbh. He dresses really well and laughs quietly along when someone jokes but he's probably planning how to murder everyone quietly.

HYUNGGU He's the kindest in the class probably. He'll always share his food with everyone. He's also a morning person so expect some happy dances at 7.45 while Changgu probably wants to punch him. Every teacher loves him because he spreads positive vibes everywhere he goes. His best subject is probably lit and language. He's also so beautiful it isn't fair. The best conversations you'll have with him are in the bathroom for some reason.

YUTO The quiet kid. He laughs and talks a lot according to his friends but ? It's ? A ? Miracle ? If ? He ? Says ? Something? When he raised his hand and answered a question for the first time, you flinched because you didn't expect his voice to be tHAT deep + he rarely talks. He's probably really good at biology and geography tbh. It's kinda annoying though. He's always the kid that gets the good grades and gets their homework done but when you text him for help he never replies.

WOOSEOK The other meme child. He dabs after every question he answers correctly. He'd be quiet at first but after some weeks in, you'll see him do the backpack dance and sing gucci gang in the background during your 10 minutes breaks. He's really good at Chemistry for some reason and gets praised for it a lot while you don't even know why salt disolves in water. OK BUT DICK JOKES. EVERYWHERE. During lit, he keeps telling them and you'll laugh for way too long.

You are away at camp and that makes me sad.  I miss you.  A lot.  I want to do things with you like go shopping but you are oh so far away.  I wrote to you tho, just like I said I would.  I’m hoping you get the letter otherwise, I will have lost all faith in USPS and my ability to correctly address envelopes.

On another note, I think I don’t drink enough water.  I keep getting really bad headaches.  Like today my headache started around 1 PM and has lasted until 10:30... I took two Ibuprofen at work which helped a little but my headache actually got worse after that.  Like I felt sick it was so bad.  it probably didn’t help that I ate an entire small pizza (I have zero self-control).  So, after talking three Excedrin it has finally gone away but will probably be back later.  I guess I just need to drink a ton more water. or I have a serious health issue.  

In other news, I will be getting the key to my house on Friday!! I am super excited! Tho we still need to get all the utilities in our name.  But still, it will be cool to finally have the keys.  I really want to do a MTV Cribs style video because I’m lame like that.  You should come up and see the house when you get back.  Maybe help me move in a little.  I put in my last day as the 16th so I am finally free from that wretched place after that!!

HOLDING ACTIONS in D&D: technically when you HOLD an action, you give a specific trigger that has to happen and then you will do a specific thing. Marisha used it correctly here as in “I will hold my action and when there is light I will attack the gnoll in front of me.” BUT you can’t use it like “I’ll hold my action and just randomly do something whenever.” You CAN hold your whole turn and say “I’ll take my turn after so-and-so” but that permanently changes your initiative order for the rest of the combat.

In the world of IWSY, synthetically manufactured blood is blood that is essentially a copy of human blood.
