giyuu probably already knew he was doomed from the start, especially since eves his sister started to show some symptoms of the disease that tore is his family members apart from the inside.

giyuu didn’t tell anyone cause he didn’t want pity, the only person who really knew was kanae but she’s out of the picture now so basically no one knows. the sickness is very stealthy and only visible if you really pay attention to giyuu’s body language. like if he’s silently coughing or paler than usual or just overall weaker than usual. he gets a LOT of flare ups and it’s genuinely so annoying to him.

has shinobu noticed? obviously, she’s a doctor after all. she’s tried to secretly look at giyuu’s vitals during physical exams and she sees nothing. UNLESS- she looks in kanaes super convenient office that she hasn’t touched in years. and what does she find?? super old demon slayer corps files on tomiokas. omg the demon slayer corps keeping a record on giyuu’s family for literal generations?! and she was APPALLED by the effects of the illness.

and what shinobu found the most interesting was that she wasn’t the first to think about poisoning herself to avenge a family member. yep the tomiokas pulled that card cause they found out about muzan probably killing a small part of their family and they were like “no, fuck you im going to kill you no matter how long it takes” and then here we are. with a sick giyuu who doesn’t even know that he’s a lil human bomb for the demon king. which yes, that does mean giyuu would have to die by being consumed or have his blood somehow be in muzans body.

the poison probably ain’t even wisteria at all, probably smth worse the smart tomioka made 500 years ago just to be petty and kill or at least weaken muzan.

giyuu’s carrying an anger that isn’t even his his WHOLE life. he has expectations from family he doesn’t even know. his short temper and bitter demeanor isn’t his at all, it’s his ancestors. the angry, hate filled ancestors that want muzan gone.

the symptoms are a lil funky so here they are: aching joints, fevers, vomiting, mild allergic reactions to wisteria and high ranked demons (the closer to muzan, the stronger the effects), sudden fatigue, lack of appetite and sleep, aggressive outbursts (ancient anger boiling over), sudden headaches, temporary loss of sight (his ancestors want a peak of what he’s seeing), loss of voice, lack of energy, slight memory loss, hallucinations(his family make themselves known to him), dizziness, anxiety, paranoia.

Gareth being the last one to accept Steve into their little group. He was wary and probably little too mean to Steve even when the guy obviously tried his best to be nice and friendly to him, to them all really. He had his reasons.

But he also kinda kept it going even after he figured out that yeah, Steve Harrington is a good dude. Simply because it was kinda fun to make Steve squirm a little. And see how easily he could turn Eddie back to docile with a simple “Eddie please” when the guy turned into a feral dog trying to defend his bf honor or whatever. (Tho that was also kinda weird to witness, considering how headstrong Eddie is)

Gareth is regretting his hostility quite a bit tho when they finally meet ✨Will✨Because oh my god that boy is cute. And nerdy. And cute. And adorable. And smart. And beautiful. And okay okay yeah you get the point… Did he mention cute? Little sweetness to his grumpiness. And oh yeah he is getting ahead of himself again.

And suddenly he is no longer up against Eddie’s gentle and sweet pretty little princess of a boyfriend. No, he has to deal with the mama bear Steve Harrington now. And that’s scary.

He just needed to wait until morning.

Tw: Major Character Death, brief description of injuries (it’s mostly left to imagination)

Shadow was tired

Kneeling on the tiled floor of the kitchen it was taking every bit of him to not close his eyes. To not let himself succumb to the cool release of sleep.

Or death.

Whichever came first.

Today’s lesson had been a brutal one, though Shadow supposes most of the lessons were brutal.

It started when he and Tails were cooking lunch, when the kid had accidentally nicked himself with the knife. Of course that caused a lesson to start. The teacher, this time taking the form of a talking knife block, preached to them all the joys of kitchen safety. Which then, of course, led to the two of them having to dodge multiple sharp kitchen utensils.

Shadow didn’t come out of that unscathed. He took a hit from a knife that was clearly aiming to take out Tails. At the time it was worth it to him, saving the fox from the pain from the blade. The large gash on his side bearable as long as he saved the kid from death at that moment.

Now though he wished he let Tails die then.

Gritting his teeth Shadow pushed himself off of the floor. Shooting pain emerged from his wound, but he bore through it. He’d handled worse before, not joking when he said lessons were brutal. He just had to leave the kitchen. If Shadow was going to bleed out he wasn’t going to do it with that looking straight at him.

The lesson didn’t end with the knives. They never ended with the knives. With Tails being the one who started the lesson the teacher’s attention was solely on the fox, and with Shadow already injured there wasn’t much he could do to protect the boy. He doesn’t know if he should be happy that the lesson ended at the blender before the teacher even acknowledged the overheating oven.

Using the wall for support Shadow kept his eyes glued to the ground as he made his way out of the kitchen. He didn’t want to see what remained of the fox again. It was bad enough the first time, as he watched the unfolding of the lesson, not being able to do anything about it.

As Shadow was just about to reach the doorframe, just about to leave the chaos forsaken room he stopped. He could feel the eyes on him, watching him as he left it all alone. He couldn’t do that, as much as he wanted to leave and wait until morning, to have his memories of this day fade into a dull ache in the back of his mind. He just couldn’t leave. Sighing he mentally prepared himself, turning to look at the center of the kitchen.

Shadow couldn’t call it a body, refusing to even think of the life the mass used to hold. The only thing that remained intact was the head. It was a cruel joke he supposed, something the teacher did to ensure the lesson stuck.

Blue eyes seemed to haunt Shadow.

First it was Maria on the Ark. Even with his memories of the outside world growing fuzzy he still remembered his sister and her eyes. He remembered the wonder they held when she looked down at the Earth, the love that he left when she looked at him, the pain as her life faded away.

Now it was a different pair of eyes, but to him they meant the same thing. The eyes that at first marveled at the new world they found themselves in, before either of them knew what it held in store, the eyes that constantly sought him out for some semblance of stability after they figured it out, the eyes that he had to watch constantly fade because he couldn’t save him.

That's how they were now, a brilliant blue faded to a dull gray.

Tears gathered in the corner of his eyes. Swiping them away angrily, Shadow growled at himself. He shouldn’t feel like this. He knew this was going to happen. He knew that by the end of the day one, or both of them would end up dead. He’s been through this enough times by now that he knows he can’t change anything. He knows that he can’t save anyone.

So why does he feel like this? Why does he feel a paralyzing helplessness whenever one of those damn teachers comes to life? Why does he feel so guilt ridden over something he knows he has no control of because he himself is a victim? Why does he feel the same way he did back on the Ark?

Shadow sinks down against the wall, as those same questions swirl through his mind. Over and over again. The same questions never relenting. He knows the answer to them. He knows why, but he can’t bring himself to admit it. If he does things would change. It would just give them more ways to inflict pain and there was no way that he would ever give them that opportunity.

Right now though there’s nothing they can do. The lesson for the day was done, the sun having already set below the horizon. Morning needs to come again.

Knowing this Shadow gives up. He allows the tears to flow down his cheeks. His sobs irritated his already sore throat, his heaving breaths causing even more pain to spout from his wound. He doesn’t care though nobody is watching him, the only eyes open right now are ones that don’t matter.

Those eyes aren’t seeing anything. They won’t think he’s weak because he failed to protect someone. They won't remember it in the morning when they seek him out for comfort. Right now he can let everything out. He can fall apart and by morning he’ll be put back together again.

He cries until his lungs give up on him, when the blood loss finally makes itself apparent. He opens his eyes and finds the other ones staring back at him. He knows his will look the same soon.

Shadow lets himself drift off, the night finally winning.

Somewhere, up above, gloved hands pick up two figures out of a small model kitchen.

They take care to fix them up, the fox figure having more repairs needed than usual, while the hedgehog only had a scratch.

Placing the figures into a model bedroom, the hands making sure to tuck the fox into bed. It’s the least they can do.

Sighing they begin to turn the crank.

The model house spins around while distant piano notes play a repeating tune.

It’s morning once again.

Shadow was in his bed again. A small bit of light shining through his eyelids told him it was still early, the sun's rays just peeking over the horizon.

Taking a deep breath he let himself enjoy the moment. The peace that came with the early morning the only time he could find himself getting the closest to a semblance of relaxation. He knew the silence wouldn’t last forever so he took this time to enjoy it.

As if right on que soft footsteps made their way over to Shadow’s bed. Without opening his eyes he lifted the blanket, inviting Tails in. The bed dipped as the kid crawled under the blanket, curling up against the hedgehog, gripping onto his dark fur as if his life depended on it. As if Shadow could save it.

Lowering his arm, Shadow pulled Tails closer. He doesn’t know for whose benefit it was, they both needed it.

Time continued to pass as they lay together, the sun coming up over the horizon, the alarm ready to go off in any moment.

Tails shrunk into him, shaking as it drew nearer for them to leave the comfort of the bed. The kid didn’t cry though. He hadn’t cried in a long time. Shadow doesn’t think that’s a good thing.

Running his fingers through yellow fur Shadow tried to calm the fox, even though his anxiety was also rising. He doesn’t remember exactly what happened yesterday but he knows it was bad seeing that Tails sought him out this morning.

Today he’s going to make sure he takes the brunt of the lesson. He’s made this vow before, but this time he’s going to try harder, to draw the focus of the teachers towards him.

Because deep down, even if he would never admit it, Shadow cared for Tails. He cares for the kid that is stuck in this eternal torment with him. Even though it will kill him, Shadow will try his hardest to protect him.

Tails was his brother now and he’d be damned if he had to watch another sibling die in front of him.

Hii everyone! You may or may not be familiar with it but… last year, I had a small event, where I designed several muses and sonas in halloween costumes! I call it All Hallows Eve… and this year, I did it again! However… this time? We’re going bigger. Better. More costumes. More muses. More fun!

This? This is only part one. I have many more muses to do, many more costumes to create, many more people to surprise! This is only the beginning! I hope you guys enjoy my work this year!

This year was kind of difficult due to the recent hurricane and the total impact on everything everywhere but! I’ve made it work and y’know what? I’m really happy with these designs.

I’m actually reading over my own shit back and asking myself IS big mama a groomer?

No I don’t think she is. That’s not her deal. She’s nice, maybe she’s too nice, and obviously far too rich, but she’s genuinely helping, she’s genuinely good at it. The issue is she’s absolutely got an agenda that no one’s paying attention to. Too much going on to notice. Big mama doesn’t actually do things for free so what’s the real cost? These kids are too traumatized to notice it. Maybe Slash notices it.

It just might really LOOK like she’s a groomer cuz of how much money she has, cuz of how weird her mannerisms are, how overly willing she is to dote on these poor fucking kids even if they can’t pay for her services. She’s clearly rich so that’s too weird. But she found them cuz april knew her, cuz April’s got sooome kind of in with the hidden city, not that she knows it.

That doesn’t mean spending time in her hotel is good for them. That doesn’t mean bad things won’t still happen to them. That doesn’t mean they should trust her fully.

But she’s really good at helping them unpack it all. And they have sooooo much to unpack.

Yeah. Also am I the only one who thinks when J told her to “grow up” it’s like “grow up from the hopes of returning home/to the mansion and the solver leaving us alone”??

So this is a flashback to episode 5 “home”, to where I assume the massacre already happened and this is when the solver (who canonically was said to have taken cyn as a HOST. confirmed by “Tessa”.) and while this might sound bizarre, is in the process of modeling the drones to disassembly ones??? Guys?? The fear and confusion in the mans eyes? He saw his former crush dead body and his supposed friend tear them both apart?? I pray for a season 2.

it’s the 90s in my monkee universe where davy lost his mom young like he did irl and they are watching the land before time because, yknow it seemed like a cool newer movie and peter LOVES don bluth films so they happened to pick it up from a video store after it left theaters so they’re all at home on the couch snuggled up and then they get to the scene where the sharp tooth attacks and mike sees it coming and has a hand on davys arm immediately and sure enough theres a dying mother scene.

davy stiffens a bit but says he’s fine and so mike squeezes davys hand a bit but then eventually davy starts to sniffle and mikes like “okay that’s it micky pause it.” and despite it having been so many years since his mom passed and him having been so young at the time, something still hits davy, especially seeing a kid in denial that his mom is going away because he just assumed she’d always be there!

but davy is determined to push past most of his babyish ways of the past so he keeps assuring mike (who is holding his face and looking into his eyes) that he’s fine between breaths. but mike is in full mumma mode because davy became his baby forever and always, and they turn the film back on and it’s all fine but mike holds davy extra tight and snuggles up to him throughout the rest of the watch and davy can’t help but push himself into mike and cling onto his shirt because mike is there for him and he does love him so much.
