would Sun be mad if i fiddled with his hair? Not in a grooming way. . . more like. . .
Would he let me grab a strand and twirl it around my finger?
Mmh! Okay—only if you guys were like, super familiar already. and he liked you. a lot. and he knew your hands were clean. Otherwise, Moonie's the only one he's comfortable with touching his hair. Anyone else tries it, and he’ll be flinching away, making excuses, and inching toward the Lysol.
If all the above is true, he quite likes having his hair played with! Twirling strands, gentle tugs, carding through his mane with your fingers. He’s lids will droop and he’ll get a dopey smile on his face 🥴. Be nearly purring in no time.
#dca slasher au#ask#im not beating the cat allegations here#this is ofc the human translation of how i headcanon how OG anamatronic Sun feels about his rays being touched#if that wasn't obvious#i mean that’s true of how I decide most of Slasher DCA’s traits#i always try and keep the idea of OG DCA in my head in these asks#what would Sun FNaF do? how would he feel about this#i am ofc bias lol#cause *I* want to touch his hair/rays#not to mention I’m sure projecting my own attitudes about how I feel about my hair being touched on to him#so i do get caught in loops of thoughts like ‘am i betraying his character because im just projecting?’#‘is this just selfish fantastical self-fulfillment?’#‘am i only making him this way because this is what I *want* to see??’#‘AM I ALLOWED TO HAVE FUN???’#and then i realize im probably being a little silly lol#but character…. ‘authenticity’ (?? not sure if that’s the right word) is important to me#whatever that means when there IS no quintessentially ‘correct’ or ‘true’ interpretation#oh look i rambled in the tags for longer than the actual post again hee hee hoo hoo

i was the happiest these past two nights ♡
#two pics of hyunjin and seungmin bc Bias and Holds a very precious spot in my heart respectively#also that’s the best i could get for lix and innie i’m sorry jdñajs#but yeah it was so. i have so much to say#the first day they were kinda holding back i could tell but once they got comfortable and realised the kind of crowd we were they just went#—all out#they gave us so much energy#they learned a chilean cuss word that also means amigo and they wouldn’t stop saying it both days#<-chan actually said it out of nowhere the first night and we were all like WAIT WHAT YOU’RE ALLOWED TO SAY THAT!??!?#he then proceeded to call changbin hueón. then hyunjin said it too. i cried#we also learned by felix himself that he does in fact have a half chilean cousin and they ate chilean chorizo once when they were kids#lino threw water at us in my section and it hit me right in the eye#changbin and lix’s water got to me as well#i don’t even have words for hyunjin and how beautiful he is#like i can’t believe i saw him up close with my own two eyes he is so unreal i still can’t believe he exists#they are all sosososo precious to me#but seungmin was definitely the mvp this time. everyone is gushing over him#i knew this from the maniac tour but he is so charismatic and it just hits different in person#he was also so happy to be here we could feel how much he loved it here and it warmed my heart so bad#and it was cute how excited he was to perform cinema and how happy he got when we did the fanchant he proposed on his live the other day#they apologised for just now coming here after seven years. lix said they should’ve come a lot sooner#but it was so worth the wait#i hope they have the best tour as it goes on and that they come back for the next one now that they know how much we love them over here<3#dominate tour

Chat, should I choose fire and read the pro life critical essay someone just posted in the Witcher tag on ao3 or should I choose peace?
#I’m all for critical essays especially when people use big words that make me look up the definitions of them while I’m reading#I’m just not sure how critical it’s going to be because in my perspective being critical has to be approached by someone who is not on any#one side of the spectrum but allows all sides to present equally. it’s impossible not to have a bias but to be critical is to shut those off#the best you can and see things foot to foot and eye to eye#so to already establish a side is less about being critical to me and more about complaining with smart words#that being said…#it’s only a 1000 words and I’m pro choice all the way so I feel like I’m not actually the target audience#just a hunch considering the general under vibes of the summary are giving robotic insults packaged in corporate thesaurus language#see? bias#mochi speaks

You’ve probably been asked this before, but do you have a specific view on ai-generated art. I’m doing a school project on artificial intelligence and if it’s okay, i would like to cite you
I mean, you're welcome to cite me if you like. I recently wrote a post under a reblog about AI, and I did a video about it a while back, before the full scale of AI hype had really started rolling over the Internet - I don't 100% agree with all my arguments from that video anymore, but you can cite it if you please.
In short, I think generative AI art
Is art, real art, and it's silly to argue otherwise, the question is what KIND of art it is and what that art DOES in the world. Generally, it is boring and bland art which makes the world a more stressful, unpleasant and miserable place to be.
AI generated art is structurally and inherently limited by its nature. It is by necessity averages generated from data-sets, and so it inherits EVERY bias of its training data and EVERY bias of its training data validators and creators. It naturally tends towards the lowest common denominator in all areas, and it is structurally biased towards reinforcing and reaffirming the status quo of everything it is turned to.
It tends to be all surface, no substance. As in, it carries the superficial aesthetic of very high-quality rendering, but only insofar as it reproduces whatever signifiers of "quality" are most prized in its weighted training data. It cannot understand the structures and principles of what it is creating. Ask it for a horse and it does not know what a "horse" is, all it knows is what parts of it training data are tagged as "horse" and which general data patterns are likely to lead an observer to identify its output also as "horse." People sometimes describe this limitation as "a lack of soul" but it's perhaps more useful to think of it as a lack of comprehension.
Due to this lack of comprehension, AI art cannot communicate anything - or rather, the output tends to attempt to communicate everything, at random, all at once, and it's the visual equivalent of a kind of white noise. It lacks focus.
Human operators of AI generative tools can imbue communicative meaning into the outputs, and whip the models towards some sort of focus, because humans can do that with literally anything they turn their directed attention towards. Human beings can make art with paint spatters and bits of gum stuck under tennis shoes, of course a dedicated human putting tons of time into a process of trial and error can produce something meaningful with genAI tools.
The nature of genAI as a tool of creation is uniquely limited and uniquely constrained, a genAI tool can only ever output some mixture of whatever is in its training data (and what's in its training data is biased by the data that its creators valued enough to include), and it can only ever output that mixture according to the weights and biases of its programming and data set, which is fully within the control of whoever created the tool in the first place. Consequently, genAI is a tool whose full creative capacity is always, always, always going to be owned by corporations, the only entities with the resources and capacity to produce the most powerful models. And those models, thus, will always only create according to corporate interest. An individual human can use a pencil to draw whatever the hell they want, but an individual human can never use Midjourney to create anything except that which Midjourney allows them to create. GenAI art is thus limited not only by its mathematical tendency to bias the lowest common denominator, but also by an ideological bias inherited from whoever holds the leash on its creation. The necessary decision of which data gets included in a training set vs which data gets left out will, always and forever, impose de facto censorship on what a model is capable of expressing, and the power to make that decision is never in the hands of the artist attempting to use the tool.
tl;dr genAI art has a tendency to produce ideologically limited and intrinsically censored outputs, while defaulting to lowest common denominators that reproduce and reinforce status quos.
... on top of which its promulgation is an explicit plot by oligarchic industry to drive millions of people deeper into poverty and collapse wages in order to further concentrate wealth in the hands of the 0.01%. But that's just a bonus reason to dislike it.

୧ SLICE OF CAKE ( 전원우 )

genre fluff , established marriage , husband!wonwoo x wife!reader cw food mention (cake) , teasing , they're in love and make me feel single , not proofread wc 490 request @k1eev for wonwoo + arms clasped around one's waist for the 3k event note man i haven't written for svt in a while but this reminded me how insane i am for wonwoo ever since i wrote fire lord wonwoo. that fic truly changed me and my bias line. i hope you enjoy kie!!! net @kstrucknet
“Stop trying to run away. Come here.” Wonwoo’s voice was gentle and steady as always, but there was a subtle hint of amusement in his tone that only you would pick up. His words made your body relax almost immediately and a small smile crept on your lips.
“Why should I? You ate the last piece of cake,” you reminded him yet again, as if there was any possibility he would forget the fact with you reminding him every ten minutes the past hour.
“I’d buy you fifty cakes if that’s what you wanted. Just come here,” he told you, holding out his arms, waiting for you to consider the offer. You were only dawdling to tease him. He looked awfully cute with his glasses perched on his nose and his slightly messy hair from his gaming headphones. He hadn’t known you wanted the last piece of cake and had already apologized for it. He knew you were teasing him too, for just last week you had stolen food he had his eyes on as well.
So you relented, and padded over to him, allowing his arms to find their home on your waist. His touch was firm, portraying his clear intentions. He wasn’t going to let you go until he had his fill. He hugged you close, lips right by your ear.
“Do you want me to buy you another cake?” he asked, and you giggled. He treated you too well.
“No, love. It’s okay. I don’t want another cake— just want you to keep holding me.”
“Keep holding you? I think I can do that,” he said, smiling wider now. His grip on your tightened ever so slightly, the comforting hug welcome. Feeling Wonwoo so close to you was everything you could ever want, and infinitely better than a slice of cake.
You snaked your arms around his waist as well to mirror the gesture, looking up at him with pure love in your eyes. He looked back down at you with nothing but the same feeling, and another gentle squeeze to your waist told you everything.
Your husband was a simple man, and it seemed like his only priority in life was to make sure you were happy. He did an excellent job at it, and you reminded him every day just how lucky you felt to have met him, fallen in love, and now be able to spend the rest of your life together. There was no better man you could have found, nor a better match for you than Wonwoo. Your perfect equal, even if he ate the last slice of cake sometimes.
“How long do you want me to hold you?” he asked after a while. You looked like the last thing you wanted to do is make any moves to remove yourself from his arms.
“Forever.”
“I’m afraid I’m not so confident I can do that. But I can certainly try. Whatever my wife desires.”

You’ve been friends with Seungcheol for as long as you can remember. He’s the dependable guy, the one who shows up at your door with takeout when you’re upset, drives you to late-night emergencies, and threatens to "have a word" with anyone who so much as looks at you the wrong way. He’s also the same guy who will call you at 2 AM to complain about Jeonghan stealing his food or Seungkwan roasting his playlist choices.
It’s all very platonic.
At least, that’s what you keep telling yourself.
But here’s the thing—platonic friends don’t always behave the way Seungcheol does with you.
Like how he always walks closest to the road when you’re together. You thought he did that for everyone until Jeonghan once teased him about being your personal bodyguard. “What, I’m just making sure she’s safe,” he’d grumbled, cheeks faintly red. You’d laughed it off, but now every time he switches sides to keep you away from traffic, your brain unhelpfully replays Jeonghan’s teasing.
Then there’s his car. His precious car. The one you’ve seen him ban people from for spilling a drink or even breathing too close to the upholstery. Yet, somehow, you’re the only one allowed to eat fries in it without getting scolded. “Because you’re neat,” he’d explained once, though you distinctly remember dropping ketchup on the seat that one time. He cleaned it up himself and still handed you another fry.
And don’t even get started on the hand thing. He always has a hand on your back—guiding you through crowds, steadying you when you wobble on uneven ground, or just casually resting it there when you’re walking side by side.
It’s warm, reassuring, and totally not something friends think about when they’re lying in bed at night.
You tried asking him about it once. “You’re very handsy, you know.”
“Would you rather I let you trip and fall?” he’d retorted with a smirk.
“Not what I meant, but okay.”
The problem is, Seungcheol seems completely unaffected by all this. He treats you like you’re just another one of his friends, albeit one he’s particularly protective of. You’ve heard him swear up and down to Jeonghan and Seungkwan that you’re just his friend. Jeonghan, of course, doesn’t believe him.
“Right, because you hold all your ‘friends’ like they’re a national treasure,” Jeonghan had said, earning himself a withering glare.
“Shut up, Jeonghan,” Seungcheol had snapped, but his ears were noticeably pink.
Then there was Seungkwan, who once asked, “Why don’t you just marry her already? Save us all the suspense.”
“We’re friends,” Seungcheol had groaned, dragging a hand down his face.
It’s honestly infuriating. Not because you want him to admit something else (okay, maybe you do, but only a little), but because it leaves you constantly second-guessing everything.
Like when he shows up to your apartment with soup because you mentioned a scratchy throat, or when he lingers outside your building after dropping you off just to make sure you’re inside safely.
Or—your personal favorite—when he softens. That big, tough guy act he puts on with everyone else melts the second he looks at you.
His voice gets gentler, his eyes crinkle when he smiles, and he’s suddenly the kind of guy who brushes hair out of your face without a second thought.
It’s maddening.
And apparently, you’re not the only one who thinks so.
“I don’t get it,” Jeonghan says one day, while you’re all sitting at a café. “Why are you two still dancing around each other? Just confess already.”
You nearly choke on your drink. “What?! There’s nothing to confess!”
“Exactly,” Seungcheol agrees, but his jaw tightens ever so slightly
Jeonghan raises an eyebrow. “Sure. And I’m the president.”
“Jeonghan, drop it,” Seungcheol warns.
“Fine, fine.” Jeonghan smirks but doesn’t look convinced.
By the time you’re walking home together later, the conversation keeps replaying in your head. Seungcheol is quiet beside you, his hands shoved into his pockets.
“You’re awfully quiet,” you say, bumping your shoulder against his.
He glances at you, his expression unreadable. “Just thinking.”
“About what?”
“...Nothing important.”
You don’t push, but as his hand finds its familiar place on your back when you cross the street, you can’t help but wonder if maybe, just maybe, Jeonghan was onto something.
You knew it was going to be a long day when your boss handed you that stack of papers at 4 PM. By the time you finally wrapped up, the office was practically empty, the night sky spilling across the windows.
A quick glance at your phone confirmed what you already dreaded—you’d missed the last bus. Groaning, you stuffed your things into your bag, resigning yourself to the long walk home.
It wasn’t that bad. Just… cold, dark, and slightly creepy. You’d be fine.
Totally fine.
But when you pushed through the lobby doors and stepped outside, you stopped dead in your tracks.
There he was.
Choi Seungcheol, leaning casually against his car, arms crossed over his chest like he’d been waiting all night. His head tilted up as soon as he heard the door open, and when he saw you, that familiar, infuriatingly soft smile spread across his face.
“Finally,” he said, pushing off the car. “I thought you were going to sleep in there.”
Your mouth opened and closed a few times before you managed, “What… what are you doing here?”
“Picking you up,” he said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world
“I didn’t ask you to.”
He shrugged. “Didn’t need to.”
You frowned, confused. “How did you even know I was still here?”
“Your light was on when I drove by earlier.”
“You drove by?”
He had the audacity to look sheepish. “I figured you’d miss the bus. And I didn’t want you walking home alone.”
Your heart did an annoying little flip. “I can take care of myself, you know.”
“Sure you can,” he said, completely unfazed. “But humor me, okay? Get in the car.”
You hesitated for a moment, debating whether to argue, but the cold wind nipping at your cheeks made the decision for you. “Fine,” you muttered, walking past him to the passenger door.
“Good choice,” he said, smirking as he opened the door for you.
The car was warm, smelling faintly of his cologne, and as you settled into the seat, you couldn’t help but notice the little things—how he’d adjusted the seat warmer on your side or how there was a blanket folded neatly in the backseat.
He climbed in and started the engine, glancing at you out of the corner of his eye. “Hungry?”
You blinked. “What?”
“You barely eat when you’re working late,” he said. “We can grab something on the way home.”
You stared at him, baffled. “Do you do this for all your friends?”
He smirked, pulling out of the parking lot. “Do what?”
“Show up unannounced, wait in the cold, and then offer to feed them.”
“Only the ones who miss the last bus.”
Your lips twitched despite yourself. “So just me, then?”
“Just you,” he admitted, glancing at you again with a small smile.
The ride home was quiet, the hum of the engine and the city lights passing by making everything feel oddly intimate. When he finally pulled up in front of your building, you turned to him, suddenly unsure of what to say.
“Thanks for… this,” you said awkwardly, gesturing vaguely.
“Anytime,” he said easily.
As you reached for the door handle, he stopped you. “Hey.”
You turned back, and his expression had softened, the playful smirk replaced with something quieter, more sincere.
“Text me next time, okay? So I don’t have to guess.”
Your chest tightened, and you nodded, swallowing the lump in your throat. “Okay.”
You stepped out of the car, his eyes on you the entire time, and as you walked to your building, you couldn’t help but smile.
He wasn’t just a friend. Not to you, anyway. And maybe, just maybe, you weren’t just a friend to him either.
It was supposed to be a quiet night for Seungcheol. He’d gone out with some friends, had a couple of drinks, and was planning to head home early. But somehow, he ended up back at Jeonghan’s place with Seungkwan sitting cross-legged on the couch, both of them looking far too smug for his liking.
They were up to something. They were always up to something.
“So,” Jeonghan started, drawing out the word like he had all the time in the world, “guess who’s out on a date right now?”
Seungcheol barely glanced up from his phone. “I don’t know. Who?”
“You,” Seungkwan deadpanned, then snorted. “Kidding. It’s her.”
Seungcheol’s fingers froze mid-scroll. “What?”
“You know who,” Jeonghan said, raising an eyebrow.
“She’s on a date,” Seungkwan added, like he was explaining something to a toddler.
Seungcheol’s brain short-circuited for a second. “Wait. What?”
“Why are you so shocked?” Jeonghan leaned back, looking like the cat that got the cream. “She’s a grown woman. She deserves to have a little fun.”
“She’s—she’s on a date?” Seungcheol repeated, his voice louder this time
“Yes, and he’s so handsome,” Seungkwan said dramatically, clasping his hands together like he was narrating a fairytale. “Tall, charming, great hair—”
“Wait a minute. You set her up?” Seungcheol cut in, his voice sharp
“Of course,” Jeonghan said breezily. “You weren’t making a move, so we figured someone else should.”
“I’m not—” Seungcheol started, then stopped, his jaw clenching. “She doesn’t need you meddling in her life.”
“She seemed fine with it,” Jeonghan said, grinning. “Actually, she looked pretty excited.”
That sentence hit Seungcheol like a punch to the gut. You? Excited to go on a date with some random guy? The thought made his chest tighten in a way he didn’t want to think about.
“I don’t get why you care so much,” Seungkwan said, narrowing his eyes. “I mean, she’s just your friend, right?”
Seungcheol’s head snapped toward him, but he didn’t say anything, his jaw working furiously as he tried to come up with a response.
“Right?” Seungkwan pressed, leaning forward.
Jeonghan smirked. “You do seem awfully worked up for someone who’s ‘just a friend.’”
Seungcheol shot him a glare that could’ve melted steel. “She is my friend.”
“Hmm,” Jeonghan hummed, unconvinced. “Then why do you look like you’re about to track down this guy and challenge him to a duel?”
“I’m not—” Seungcheol groaned, dragging a hand down his face. “I’m just… concerned.”
“About what?” Seungkwan asked innocently.
“About her,” Seungcheol snapped. “What if he’s some creep? What if he says something to upset her? What if—”
“Oh my God,” Jeonghan interrupted, laughing. “You’re jealous.”
“I’m not jealous,” Seungcheol said through gritted teeth.
“Then why are you gripping the couch like it insulted your ancestors?” Seungkwan asked, gesturing to Seungcheol’s white-knuckled hands.
“I’m just protective,” he argued weakly.
“Right. Protective,” Jeonghan said, rolling his eyes. “Because that totally explains the vein popping out of your forehead right now.”
Seungcheol groaned again, sinking back into the couch. He hated how transparent he was, especially to these two.
“Look,” Jeonghan said, leaning forward, his tone suddenly serious. “If you don’t want her going on dates with other guys, then maybe you should finally admit how you feel.”
“I don’t—”
“Don’t even try it,” Seungkwan cut in, holding up a hand. “We all know. She’s the only person you drop everything for. The only one you talk to with that stupid soft voice. You treat her like she’s your entire world, but you’re too stubborn to say it.”
Seungcheol opened his mouth to argue, but no words came out. Because they were right. They were absolutely, infuriatingly right.
“Okay, fine,” he muttered, running a hand through his hair. “Maybe I feel something. But what if she doesn’t feel the same?”
Jeonghan snorted. “Are you kidding me? She’s just as bad as you. She talks about you all the time, and don’t even get me started on the way she looks at you. You’re both idiots.”
Seungkwan nodded solemnly. “Big, dumb idiots.”
Seungcheol stared at them, his mind racing. Maybe it was time to stop being an idiot.
“Where’s this date happening?” he asked suddenly.
Jeonghan and Seungkwan exchanged a glance, their smirks returning.
“Why?” Jeonghan asked, feigning innocence.
Seungcheol stood, grabbing his jacket. “Because I’m about to fix this.”
“Finally,” Seungkwan muttered, shaking his head.
Jeonghan grinned. “Go get her, tiger.”
And with that, Seungcheol stormed out, determined to set things right—even if it meant crashing your date.
Meanwhile you were having a perfectly peaceful evening. The kind where the air was crisp, the stars were starting to peek out, and the banana milk you’d picked up from the convenience store was hitting just right. Strolling through your neighborhood, you took another long sip, savoring the sweetness.
And then, like something out of a drama, Seungcheol’s sleek black car zipped past you.
You blinked, nearly choking on your drink.
Was that…? No, it couldn’t be. But then the brake lights lit up, and the car slowed before making a sharp U-turn.
You stopped walking, half-expecting someone else to step out of the car. But, of course, it was Seungcheol.
He parked haphazardly by the curb and got out, looking a little disheveled, which was unusual for him. His jacket was slightly askew, and his hair looked like he’d run his hands through it one too many times.
“Hey,” he said, jogging up to you, his voice slightly breathless.
“Uh, hi?” you said, thoroughly confused. “What are you doing here?”
“I could ask you the same thing,” he countered, crossing his arms but not quite meeting your eyes.
“I’m just walking,” you replied, holding up your banana milk as if to prove your innocence. “What about you?”
He hesitated for a second too long. “I was… driving.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Driving? Around here?”
“Yeah,” he said quickly, rubbing the back of his neck. “I was… in the area.”
“In the area?” you repeated, unconvinced.
“Yes,” he said firmly, but his eyes flickered to the drink in your hand, betraying his nerves.
You decided not to press him. Seungcheol acting weird wasn’t exactly new, but something about him tonight seemed different. Like he was on edge. His jaw was tight, his shoulders tense, and he kept shifting from foot to foot like he didn’t know what to do with himself.
“You okay?” you asked softly, tilting your head.
He froze, then sighed, his shoulders relaxing just a fraction. “Yeah, I’m fine.”
“You don’t look fine.”
“I’m just… stressed,” he admitted reluctantly.
“Work?” you guessed.
“Something like that,” he muttered, avoiding your gaze.
You frowned, feeling a pang of concern. Without thinking, you held out your banana milk to him, your fingers curling around the straw as you offered it up. “Here. This always makes me feel better.”
He blinked at you, caught completely off guard. “What?”
“Drink it,” you said, blinking up at him innocently. “It’ll help.”
He stared at you for a moment, his expression softening in that way that always made your heart skip a beat. “You’re sharing your banana milk with me?”
“Don’t make it weird,” you mumbled, cheeks warming.
A small smile tugged at his lips as he took the drink from you, his fingers brushing yours. He took a hesitant sip, his eyes never leaving yours, and for a moment, the world felt strangely quiet.
“Not bad,” he said, handing it back to you.
“See? Instant stress relief,” you said lightly, though your chest felt tight for reasons you didn’t want to examine too closely.
He didn’t respond right away, his gaze lingering on you in a way that made you feel uncharacteristically shy. Finally, he reached out, ruffling your hair like he used to do when you were younger. “You’re too good to me, you know that?”
You laughed softly, brushing his hand away. “Someone’s gotta take care of you.”
His smile faltered just slightly, something unspoken passing between you before he cleared his throat and stepped back. “I’ll drive you home.”
“It’s just a short walk—”
“Let me drive you,” he said, his tone leaving no room for argument.
You didn’t fight him on it. You weren’t sure why, but Seungcheol’s strange mood tugged at something deep inside you.
As you climbed into his car and he pulled onto the road, you couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to his stress than he was letting on. And from the way his grip on the steering wheel tightened every time he glanced at you, you had a feeling he was thinking the exact same thing.
A few days later since that night. You're still wondering why Seungcheol was acting weird but you brush it off, thinking maybe he's just stressed because of work.
Now you're somewhere unfamiliar.
You sighed in frustration, staring at the unfamiliar street signs around you.
You were definitely lost.
The errand you thought would take twenty minutes had somehow turned into an hour-long disaster. To make matters worse, your phone signal had cut out just when you’d tried to pull up directions.
After wandering aimlessly for what felt like forever, your phone finally regained some service, and you immediately dialed Jeonghan’s number. He was your go-to for emergencies like this—always on his phone and annoyingly calm in situations where you were about ready to cry.
“Hello?” Jeonghan’s familiar voice answered on the first ring
“Jeonghan!” you practically wailed. “I’m lost.”
“Lost?” he echoed, sounding more amused than concerned. “Where are you?”
“I don’t know,” you groaned, scanning the street for anything remotely familiar. “I think I took a wrong turn somewhere, and then my phone lost signal, and now I have no idea where I am.”
“Okay, okay,” he said, clearly suppressing a laugh. “Relax. Describe your surroundings.”
You rattled off a description of the nearby buildings and street signs, and Jeonghan hummed thoughtfully. “Alright, I think I know where you are. Just stay put, and I’ll send someone to get you.”
“Wait—someone? Who?”
But before he could answer, the line disconnected.
Fifteen minutes later, as you sat on a bench scrolling through your now-working phone, your screen lit up with an incoming call from Seungcheol.
You hesitated for a second before answering. “Hello?”
“What the hell?” was the first thing out of his mouth, his voice a mix of irritation and concern.
“What?” you asked, confused
“Why didn’t you call me?” he demanded
You blinked. “What are you talking about?”
“You’re lost, right? Why didn’t you call me?”
“I—” You paused, feeling slightly guilty. “I figured you’d be busy with work. I didn’t want to bother you.”
“Bother me?” he repeated incredulously. “You think calling me when you’re lost is a bother?”
“I mean… kind of?” you said hesitantly. “You’re always so busy, and I didn’t want to distract you.”
There was a brief pause, and when he spoke again, his tone was softer, almost hurt. “You’re never a bother, you know that, right?”
You swallowed, suddenly feeling small. “I didn’t want to interrupt anything important.”
“You’re important,” he shot back without missing a beat.
Your heart did a funny little flip at his words, but you tried to shake it off. “Jeonghan said he’d send someone to get me,” you mumbled.
“Yeah, and that someone is me,” Seungcheol said, his voice firm. “I’m on my way.”
“Oh,” was all you managed to say.
“Stay where you are. I’ll be there in ten minutes,” he said, and then the line went dead.
True to his word, Seungcheol’s car pulled up exactly ten minutes later. He got out and strode toward you, his expression a mixture of exasperation and relief.
“You okay?” he asked, his eyes scanning you for any signs of distress.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” you said sheepishly. “Sorry for making you come all the way out here.”
“Don’t apologize,” he said firmly. “Just… next time, call me first, okay? No matter what. I don’t care how busy I am.”
You nodded, feeling warmth spread through your chest at his words. “Okay. I will.”
He sighed, running a hand through his hair before reaching out to flick your forehead gently. “Idiot,” he muttered, but there was no heat in his voice. “You scared me.”
You smiled up at him, clutching your phone tightly. “Thanks for coming to get me.”
He shook his head, a small smile tugging at his lips. “Always.”
And with that, he opened the car door for you, muttering something about making sure you had a proper map app installed while you slid into the passenger seat, feeling safer than you’d felt all day.
The car was quiet save for the low hum of the engine as Seungcheol drove. You sat in the passenger seat, sneaking glances at him every now and then. His brows were slightly furrowed, his lips pressed into a thin line. You could tell he was still annoyed—though more at himself than at you—but the silence was starting to get to you.
“Are you really mad?” you asked softly, your voice barely above a whisper
He didn’t answer right away, keeping his eyes fixed on the road. You shifted in your seat, feeling a small pang of guilt.
“Cheol?” you tried again, a little louder this time
Finally, he glanced at you, just for a second, and that’s when he saw it—the faint pout on your lips, your eyes wide and filled with worry.
Whatever lingering annoyance he felt melted away instantly.
How could he ever stay mad at you?
He tightened his grip on the steering wheel, swallowing the sudden lump in his throat.
In that fleeting moment, something clicked. He’d always known he cared about you, but this was different.
This was deeper.
The way his chest ached at the thought of you being lost, the way he couldn’t focus on anything else until he knew you were safe—it all made sense now.
He was in deep. Really, truly in deep.
But he kept that realization buried, locking it away for now. Because what if you didn’t feel the same? What if he ruined what you already had?
So instead of saying what was really on his mind, he shook his head and let out a small sigh. “No, I’m not mad,” he said softly, his voice losing all the sharpness from earlier.
“Really?” you asked, your pout disappearing as a hopeful smile crept onto your face.
He glanced at you again, his lips twitching into a faint smile. “Really. Just… call me next time, okay? No matter what.”
“Okay,” you said quickly, nodding.
“Good,” he said, turning his attention back to the road. But the corner of his mouth quirked up, betraying his amusement at how eager you were to ease his worries.
And as you settled back into your seat, sipping the banana milk you’d insisted on bringing with you, Seungcheol kept driving, silently grappling with the fact that you had him wrapped around your finger—and you didn’t even know it.
It’s not something you consciously think about, but Seungcheol is the first person you instinctively search for in every situation.
Whether it’s at a gathering, in a crowded room, or even during simple moments like deciding where to sit, your eyes always find him first. And it’s always easy to spot him—because, without fail, he leaves a space open beside him, like he’s silently saving it just for you.
He never says anything about it, but you’ve come to notice how it’s always you in the passenger seat of his car, you who gets the last fry from his plate, and you who he lets get away with things no one else can.
One day, after an especially long week at work, you found yourself riding home with him again. The car was quiet, save for the soft hum of the radio, and you couldn’t help but let your mind wander.
“Cheol,” you said, breaking the silence.
“Hmm?” he responded, glancing at you briefly before returning his attention to the road.
“Do you think…” You hesitated, biting your lip. “Do you think I’m taking advantage of you being such a good friend?”
He frowned slightly, his grip tightening on the steering wheel. “What?”
“I mean…” You trailed off, unsure how to explain yourself. “You do so much for me. I feel like I’m always leaning on you, and maybe—”
“Stop,” he interrupted, pulling the car to a gentle stop at a red light. He turned to look at you, his expression soft but serious. “You’re not taking advantage of me.”
You opened your mouth to protest, but he reached over, tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear in that way that always made your breath catch.
“I wouldn’t do any of it if I didn’t want to,” he said firmly, his voice low and steady. Then, with a small smile, he added, “Take advantage of me all you want.”
You blinked at him, startled by the sincerity in his tone. For a moment, it felt like the world outside the car had faded away, leaving only the two of you in your little bubble.
There was something in the way he said it, something in his gaze that made your chest tighten. Like he wasn’t just saying you could rely on him, but something deeper—something more.
But you didn’t push it, didn’t ask him to elaborate.
Instead, you smiled softly, feeling your cheeks warm. “Thanks, Cheol.”
He nodded, turning back to the road as the light turned green, but his fingers tapped lightly against the steering wheel, as if he was trying to shake off whatever had just passed between you.
And though neither of you said it out loud, his words lingered in the air between you, unspoken but clear.
Take advantage of me all you want.
It sounded an awful lot like he was saying, I’m yours.
The music was loud, the kind that vibrated through your chest and made regular conversation impossible.
You were at yet another one of Seungkwan’s chaotic gatherings, where everyone was laughing, shouting, and dancing all at once. You were trying to tell Seungcheol something, but no matter how loud you spoke, your voice barely reached him over the noise.
Finally, with a little huff of frustration, you stepped closer to him. So close that you had to tilt your head up to meet his gaze. He raised an eyebrow at you, amused but curious, as if to ask, What’s up?
Without thinking, you stood on your tiptoes, your hand lightly gripping his arm for balance. Leaning in, you brought your lips close to his ear and whispered the words you’d been trying to say.
His reaction was immediate. You felt his hands gently rest on your waist, steadying you like it was second nature. His touch was warm, firm, and grounding in the chaos of the room.
“What?” he asked, turning his head slightly so his lips were near your ear now, his voice low enough that it sent a shiver down your spine.
You repeated yourself, barely able to focus with how close the two of you were. You could feel the heat radiating from him, smell the faint, familiar scent of his cologne.
When you pulled back just enough to look at him, you caught the small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Without breaking eye contact, he slid one of his hands down from your waist and took your hand in his.
Your breath hitched when his fingers laced with yours, his grip firm but gentle, like he wasn’t planning to let go anytime soon. His thumb brushed lightly over your knuckles, and he gave your hand a little squeeze, as if to silently say, I hear you now.
The moment stretched between you, the noise of the room fading into the background as you stared up at him. His eyes were warm, his smile soft, and for a second, you felt like the two of you were the only ones in the room.
“Better?” he asked, his voice just loud enough for you to hear.
You nodded, your cheeks warm as you managed a small smile. “Better.”
He didn’t let go of your hand for the rest of the night.
As the night wore on, you and Seungcheol gravitated toward each other like magnets. Even in the chaos of the party, you never strayed far, and he made no effort to hide how closely he kept you by his side.
At one point, you found yourself standing in front of him, tucked neatly into the protective circle of his arms. His broad frame loomed behind you, shielding your much smaller figure from the crowd. It was a natural thing, the way his arms rested lightly around your waist, his hands occasionally brushing against your sides.
You weren’t sure when you had become so glued to each other, but you didn’t mind. You felt safe there, cocooned in his warmth, the noise of the party fading into the background as you leaned into his steady presence.
Seungcheol leaned down slightly, his chin nearly brushing the top of your head as he murmured, “You okay?”
You turned your head slightly to glance back at him, your eyes meeting his. “Yeah, I’m good.”
His lips quirked into a soft smile, and he gave your waist a gentle squeeze, as if to reassure himself. “Let me know if you need anything.”
“I think I’m fine as long as I stay right here,” you replied without thinking, and you felt his chest rumble with quiet laughter behind you.
“Yeah?” he teased, his voice low and warm. “You planning to stick to me all night?”
You shrugged, your cheeks warming. “Maybe.”
His laugh softened, and you felt his arms tighten around you ever so slightly. “Good,” he said, his voice quieter this time, almost like he hadn’t meant for you to hear it.
From the other side of the room, Seungkwan and Jeonghan stood together, sipping their drinks and watching the scene unfold like it was a live drama.
Jeonghan leaned casually against the wall, a smirk dancing on his lips as his eyes flicked between you and Seungcheol. “You seeing this?” he murmured, just loud enough for Seungkwan to hear over the noise.
“Oh, I’m seeing it,” Seungkwan replied, trying his best to keep a straight face but failing miserably. His grin threatened to split his face in two as he watched Seungcheol pull you closer, his arms tightening protectively around you.
Jeonghan raised an eyebrow. “Should we—”
“Don’t even think about it,” Seungkwan interrupted, though he looked like he was barely holding himself back. “You saw the look he gave us earlier. He’ll kill us if we say anything.”
Just then, Seungcheol’s eyes flicked toward them, sharp and warning. It was a look that screamed, Don’t. You. Dare.
Jeonghan, of course, couldn’t resist a bit of mischief. He raised his glass in a mock toast, tilting his head slightly as if to say, Oh, we’ll see about that.
Seungcheol’s glare darkened, and he subtly mouthed, Don’t.
Seungkwan elbowed Jeonghan, barely stifling his laughter. “You’re gonna get us both killed.”
“Oh, come on,” Jeonghan whispered back, smirking. “It’s too good not to say something. Look at them. She’s practically in his arms, and he’s acting like she’s the only person in the room.”
“I know, but...” Seungkwan hesitated, glancing back at Seungcheol, who had now fully turned his body to shield you from the crowd. “He’s terrifying when it comes to her.”
“Exactly,” Jeonghan said, his smirk widening. “Which makes this even more fun.”
Before either of them could act on their instincts, Seungcheol shot them another glare—this one so intense that even Jeonghan momentarily reconsidered his life choices.
Seungkwan cleared his throat, straightening up. “Yeah, nope. Not worth it. I like being alive.”
Jeonghan chuckled, but even he backed off, holding his hands up in mock surrender. “Fine, fine. We’ll let him have his moment. For now.”
But as they watched you and Seungcheol disappear into the night, Jeonghan leaned over to Seungkwan with a glint in his eye. “We’re never letting him live this down, though.”
“Oh, absolutely not,” Seungkwan agreed, grinning. “We’re just waiting for the right moment to strike.”
And with that, the two of them shared a conspiratorial laugh, already plotting how they’d tease Seungcheol later—if they lived to tell the tale.
The quiet of the car was a stark contrast to the laughter and energy of the night. It was just the two of you now, the hum of the engine and the soft rush of air outside the windows filling the space between your thoughts.
Seungcheol’s eyes were on the road, his focus steady, but there was something different in the air tonight. It felt like the perfect moment to finally ask the question that had been lingering on your mind.
"Cheol?" you said softly, breaking the comfortable silence.
"Mhm?" he replied, glancing at you briefly before returning his gaze to the road.
You hesitated for a moment, the weight of your thoughts making your chest tighten just a little. "We're not just friends, are we?" you asked, the words slipping out before you could stop them.
You had been wondering for a while now, but it felt like the right time to ask.
Seungcheol didn’t immediately respond. The car continued on its path, the sound of the engine filling the space. When he finally spoke, his voice was calm, but there was a quiet, almost amused undertone to it.
"Whatever you want me to be, I'll be that," he said simply, his eyes still on the road, but there was something in his tone that made your heart skip a beat.
You blinked, processing his words. "What does that mean?" you asked, voice quieter now, trying to decipher his meaning.
"It means," he began, "if you want me to be more than a friend, then that’s what I’ll be. If you want me to be something else, I’ll be that too."
You felt your chest tighten, the air between you both thick with unspoken things.
The rest of the ride passed in comfortable silence, but you couldn’t shake the feeling that things had shifted, that the line between just friends and something more was now more blurred than ever before.
"Thanks for the ride," you said softly, unable to hold back a small smile.
Seungcheol smiled back, his gaze lingering on you for just a moment longer. "Anytime,".
The boys had decided it was time for a beach day—a full day of sun, sand, and chaos. Naturally, Seungcheol insisted you join, claiming it wouldn’t be the same without you. So here you were, walking down the sandy shore with a tote bag slung over your shoulder while the boys argued over the best spot to set up.
Jeonghan, of course, found the shadiest area and claimed it before anyone could argue, while Seungkwan bickered about who had to blow up the inflatable. Meanwhile, Seungcheol carried your beach chair and umbrella, glancing over his shoulder to make sure you were keeping up.
When everything was set up, you kicked off your sandals and ran toward the water, the cool waves splashing against your feet. The boys stayed back for a while, caught up in their own antics, until Jeonghan called out to Seungcheol.
“Hey, big guy! You’re really just going to let her wander off alone?”
Seungcheol rolled his eyes but still got up, his protective instincts kicking in almost immediately. He strolled down the beach after you, arms crossed casually over his chest, his broad shoulders drawing attention from passersby.
You were completely oblivious, laughing as you dipped your toes into the waves. That is, until a couple of guys sidled up to you, grinning and trying to make small talk.
“Hey, you here alone?” one of them asked, his tone far too confident for his own good.
“No,” you replied politely but firmly, already taking a step back.
“Come on, just a little chat—”
“Is there a problem here?”
That voice. Low, firm, and unmistakably Seungcheol’s.
The guys froze, their smiles faltering as they turned to see him standing there. His towering frame, sharp jawline, and intense gaze were enough to make them instantly reconsider their life choices.
“N-no, man, we were just—”
“Leaving,” Seungcheol finished for them, his tone leaving no room for argument.
They didn’t need to be told twice, muttering apologies as they shuffled away.
You turned to Seungcheol, your eyebrows raised. “That wasn’t necessary. I could’ve handled it.”
“I know you could’ve,” he said, his tone softening as he looked at you. “But why should you have to?”
You rolled your eyes, though you couldn’t hide the small smile tugging at your lips. “My knight in shining board shorts.”
Seungcheol chuckled, nudging your shoulder gently. “Someone’s gotta keep you out of trouble.”
The two of you made your way back to the group, where Jeonghan and Seungkwan were snickering.
“Cheol scared off some beach bros, didn’t he?” Jeonghan guessed, smirking.
“Didn’t even have to try,” Seungkwan added. “He just exists, and they run for their lives.”
Seungcheol ignored them, guiding you to your chair and handing you a bottle of water. “Drink up,” he said, his hand brushing against yours briefly.
You didn’t miss the way his touch lingered or the way his gaze softened when he looked at you. And while the boys continued to tease him relentlessly, he just sat back with a satisfied smirk, his protective streak in full swing.
By the end of the day, no one even thought about approaching you again—not when Seungcheol made it very clear, without saying a word, that you weren’t alone.
The sun was beginning its slow descent, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink. The beach was quieter now, the once-loud waves now lapping gently at the shore. Seungcheol crouched down in front of you, his back turned as he gestured for you to hop on.
“Come on, before the sun sets,” he said, glancing over his shoulder with a small grin.
“Why do I have to be the one on your back?” you teased, but you didn’t hesitate to climb on, your arms wrapping around his shoulders as his hands secured your legs.
“Because I’d crush you if it were the other way around,” he shot back, standing effortlessly with you in tow.
He started walking along the shoreline, the sand soft beneath his feet. You leaned your cheek against his, your fingers lightly tapping against his chest as you spoke.
“Did you know that sea otters hold hands while they sleep so they don’t drift apart?”
“Yeah?”
“Mhm. It’s called a raft. Isn’t that cute?”
“Almost as cute as you randomly spitting out facts,” he said with a chuckle, glancing sideways at you.
You ignored him, continuing your stream of trivia. “Oh! And dolphins have names for each other. Like, they have a specific whistle for every dolphin in their pod.”
“Do they have a whistle for their favorite dolphin?” he asked, his voice teasing.
“Obviously,” you said, squishing your cheek harder against his. “If I were a dolphin, you’d have a whistle just for me.”
“I already do,” he murmured, his words so soft that you almost didn’t catch them over the sound of the waves.
You paused for a moment, the warm breeze brushing past the two of you. Then, out of nowhere, you whispered, “I love you.”
Seungcheol froze mid-step, his breath hitching just enough for you to notice. Slowly, he turned his head to look at you, his cheek brushing against yours.
“I was hoping I’d say it first,” he said with a soft laugh, his dimples deepening as he smiled at you.
Your heart swelled at the sight, and you couldn’t help but grin back. “Guess you’re too slow, Cheol.”
“Guess so,” he replied, his voice warm and steady. Then, without putting you down, he turned to face the sunset.
“Say it again,” he said after a moment, his tone teasing but with a hint of something deeper beneath it.
“I love you,” you said, softer this time, your lips brushing against his ear as you spoke.
He let out a content sigh, his hands tightening slightly on your legs as if grounding himself in the moment.
“I love you too,” he finally said, his voice carrying all the tenderness he’d been holding back for so long.
And as the sun dipped below the horizon, you stayed there, clinging to each other, both knowing you had everything you could ever need right in that moment.

It's been a long time since I last posted. I’ve been quiet for too long. I've thought about whether I should post at all, but I need to get this out of my head. Out of my heart.
As a Jimin biased ARMY, the last few years have felt like a nightmare. From the negligence and mismanagement by the company, to the excuses and bitterness from the fandom, the euphoric dream has devolved into something so twisted and ugly.
To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I'm utterly heartbroken and disgusted to finally realize what this fandom has become. I should have seen it coming. I was warned before, but I was too blind to see what was right in front of me.
Since I became an ARMY, I have vehemently and relentlessly defended this fandom. However, even back then, I witnessed the hate towards Jimin come from not just outside the fandom but from within. Jimin biased fans were told to “Report and block. Don’t engage.” Jimin fans did just that, but the hate continued to escalate. It got louder. It spread farther. It has since reached the point where it's clear ARMY does not find any of the malicious or threatening rhetoric alarming, and the majority rather doesn’t care.
Recently as last year, ARMYs turned a blind eye to Jimin’s father becoming a target of hate. His father had to turn off the comments on the Instagram account for his café, and deleted any trace of Jimin, it had gotten so bad. Not even a few days later, ARMYs came out of the woodwork to protect and defend JK’s dog from “Jimin’s vile fans”. I could not believe what I was witnessing. In real time. The hypocrisy was deafening.
ARMY has earned the title of the most toxic fandom, and it is speed running towards self destruction. It has become so fractured and disjointed. ARMY now only cares about it’s collective ego. The AMAs drama is proof of this. The way ARMY as a whole went about it was disgusting, and I will never forget what happened.
Jimin was belittled. Jimin was decided as less deserving. ARMYs decided Jimin’s talent and art paled in comparison to RM's. ARMY teamed up with other BTS member’s solo fandoms who openly hate Jimin. Jimin once again was sidelined by his own fandom.
ARMY decided what makes a “true ARMY”.
“If you vote for RM, you are a true ARMY.
If you vote for Jimin, you are a solo.”
This message was shared across all social platforms. This idea spread across continents and was translated globally. ARMYs made it clear that Jimin and his fans are the bane of this fandom. Any ARMY that did stand up for him was vilified and labeled an anti, a solo.
So, being a Jimin fan makes me a solo?! Having Jimin as a bias makes me a BTS anti?! Thinking Jimin deserved an award that would reflect his achievements in America means I cannot be a “true ARMY”?!
Then, I must be a solo. At this point, I don’t even want to be associated with such a hypocritical and hateful fandom. I've tried to stay positive. I’ve tried to convince myself that I’m overreacting. But after what just happened with the AMAs, I can no longer tolerate the blatant resentment of Jimin and his fans from ARMY. And to make matters worse, now that it’s over, ARMYs have collective amnesia, claiming none of this ever happened.
I’m tired of biting my tongue.
I’m tired of feeling like I have no place in my own fandom.
I’m tired of being let down over and over again.
I’m over it.
I’m done.
I imagine many will unfollow my account. But, honestly, it will only prove my point.
ARMYs don’t care about Jimin. They think little of him.
Unlike the other members, he is not allowed to have his own fans.
Unlike other members, he does not deserve the awards he has.
Unlike other members, he’s not as deserving of recognition and praise.
Unlike other members, he is nothing without BTS.
I have seen all of this. I wish I was making it up.
Since chapter 2 started, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, kept complaining about PJMs this, and PJMs that. Always calling PJMs “the worst”, the “most vile”. Never the other solo fandoms. Just PJMs. No other member of BTS has been subjected to the kind of vitriol I’ve seen against Jimin for having solo fans. No other member of BTS has been directly associated with their solos as much as Jimin has. It’s hypocritical and reeks of animosity.
I have seen this mentality even here. Right here in this community on tumblr. It sickens me.
I once did not understand how any ARMY could become a solo, but now I do. When you have to deal with constant bullshit from your own fandom, with no accountability, it’s only natural to want out.
PJMs may get a bad wrap from ARMY, but I understand why they keep growing. Continuing to be an ARMY with Jimin as your bias is impossible. Anyone that claims Jimin is their bias, but has sided with ARMY, until even now, is no Jimin fan. How any Jimin fan can witness what I have and still feel comfortable in such a toxic environment is beyond me.
ARMY has lost it’s heart. There is no more genuine love between fans. Just hate. Hate has clearly won. You are either a “true ARMY” or a Jimin fan. There’s no in between.
So, I choose Jimin.
I will always love BTS, but ARMY is no longer a safe place for me.

hi, sorry this isn’t really about sex ed, but i’ve seen you mention it and it’s something i’ve only seen come up somewhat recently and i was hoping you could give me some insight because im not sure where else to look or who else to ask.
recently i’ve seen quite a few people talking about how being fat is not unhealthy. could you elaborate on this? i grew up constantly being told that being fat is inherently unhealthy and i should really try to lose weight because of that. at this point i know that’s at least partially BS, and you can do whatever you want with your body, but hearing that being fat is not in and of itself unhealthy has still been surprising to me?
specifically i was told that being fat, especially obese, puts pressure on your arteries and heart and can lead to cardiac problems. (i was also told it can lead to diabetes and clogged arteries, though i assume that has more to do with diet and other factors than being fat itself maybe that’s what people mean?)
i hope you don’t mind the off-topic question but i’m not sure who else to ask. it’s something i’ve seen come up only recently and an extremely stigmatized topic so doing research on it is difficult. thank you in advance!
Hello! That's no problem, I don't mind.
Well, I'm not an expert on the subject by any means, to be clear. But it's true that being fat is not inherently unhealthy. You can be healthy fat just like you can be healthy skinny, it's not an immediate health issue.
What's been repeatedly found through studies is that, because of bias against fat people, doctors often decide that all medical issues that fat people have are because they're fat, going to the extreme of even giving death certificates stating this without doing any investigation.
It's also been shown that the bias against fat people (much like other types of bigotry) can cause high blood pressure, high cholesterol and heart issues from the stress it causes. [Great post with resources on that here!]
Fatness does not cause diabetes, that's also Never been proven and evidence actually leans towards the things that cause diabetes is actually part of your DNA. While it can be encouraged to emmerge by your environment, weight has never been proven as a cause OR a cure. [Great post with some resources on that here!]
The clogged arteries part, I believe, is also more of a diet and other factors thing, though I'm not 100% sure on that, so don't quote me.
And that's not even getting into how dieting designed for weight-loss is almost always bad for your body (something fat people are frequently forced into!)
This is also a good article with resources, as well as this one (though the second one does explicitly mention sexual assault, if that's a trigger for you).
As I mentioned, I'm not an expert but the thing is, fat bodies are just as diverse as skin bodies.
They can be unhealthy, they can be healthy-It can be connected to weight, it can not be connected to weight, it varies. And people are allowed to be unhealthy as well, to be clear! It's their body.
Speaking as a disabled person, "unhealthiness" has always been such a shit excuse for the disrespect and bigotry directed towards fat people and that would apply even if it was true.
Hope this helps, Anon! Let me know if you have any other questions. <3

Around age 15 . . . I sought my friends among the boys. They were the interesting people in my sphere—the dynamic ones. One could talk ideas with boys; one talked only about people with girls. Already I had absorbed the bias that girls are passive and inherently limited. Small wonder I wanted to be "one of the boys." But the boys didn't want me to be one of them. Gonads were always breaking up beautiful friendships. Against all evidence, I kept believing it was possible and right to have boy-friends.
At age 22, I was still trying to maintain a close asexual relationship with a man. He was fun and interesting; I was fun and interesting; obviously a fun, interesting friendship was in store. He told me bluntly that he could waste no more time on such a dead-end relationship. Either it was going to be fruitful sexually or as potential wifely material, but he had neither time nor need for girl-friends. I accepted his explanation as valid and terminated the relationship. My female conditioning was so thorough that ten years passed before I realized that what he really said was that I was good as a body or as a property, but not as a person.

Here’s my thoughts on Holmes’ education!! I know a lot of people believe that Holmes was either an Oxford or Cambridge graduate in the ACD canon, but I entirely believe that Holmes was in fact a student of one of the London universities! (By no means a bias, I assure you.) If you think about Oxford and Cambridge education, few fictional names come to mind, one being Bertie Wooster- (I’m not joking.) The two universities were essentially unattainable unless you were quite wealthy, or very sporty. Wooster only being allowed to attend Magdalen College because he was incredibly good at rackets! Holmes probably wouldn’t have cared for the atmosphere at those colleges at that period- He just wants to be able to do his wonderful experiments 😭
Holmes is synonymous to London, and more specifically SCIENCE!!!! He meets Watson at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital which is, by the events of the novels, connected to London Hospital Medical College. Even if Holmes wasn’t a student at that time, he’d still probably have to be affiliated to it!
Sorry, ramble over.

bf!taesan thoughts <3

warnings: fem!reader, super soft fluff, i am in love with this man and it shows (honestly no genuine content warnings!)
song rec: if you want to by beabadoobee or serenade by boynextdoor!
writing under the cut!
bf!taesan, who loves customizing things for you. if you want him to paint on everything you own, then he gladly will! you would come to him with two brand new pairs of white converse and he’d ask why you bought two, and you’d say with a smile that you wanted to match. he’d spend so much time making sure they were perfect and would wear your matching pair with so much pride. everything he made for you, you would cherish so deeply because you knew it was made with so much love. you would make a point to take extra care of the things he makes for you because of how special they are as he always puts so much time and effort into them!
bf!taesan, who goes out of his way to film everything for you if the two of you are apart from each other. if he’s away for whatever reason, he’ll make a point to record or take pictures of everything. the boys are being silly and he wants you to laugh along with them? it’s recorded. he sees a cute puppy? it’s snapshotted. it’s literally the most endearing thing ever how he wants to include you in on the highlights of his day. he doesn’t expect you to do the same either, but if you do he’s absolutely ecstatic! he just wants you to feel included in his life even though the two of you aren’t physically together.
bf!taesan, who sticks to you like glue. he looks so outwardly cold and intimidating, but on the inside he is so warm and gentle. he really loves to have his hands on you whenever he can. he’s not like super majorly into physical touch, but you’re his person, so he enjoys it with you. he loves when you reciprocate his touch too. if he leans on you, resting his head on your lap, and you start to play with his hair, he’ll let out a sigh of relief. that’s his own personal heaven; his favorite girl playing with his hair and just enjoying each other’s company.
bf!taesan, who is so romantic that sometimes you don’t even know how to react. he sometimes doesn’t outwardly say his feelings to you, but rather, he shows his love through actions. he’s not expressive in the sense that he’s extremely lovey-dovey with his words. instead, he’ll write you a song, making it extra special by detailing a shared memory between the two of you in the lyrics. he’s really thoughtful and despite not being super over the top about his feelings, you never go a day without feeling his deep adoration for you.
bf!taesan, who is an introvert and would prefer to be alone, but allows you in his personal bubble at all times. not just that he allows you, but he wants you around him all the time. you two can sit in comfortable silence with one another and sometimes that’s more than enough because what matters is that the two of you are together!
bf!taesan, who looks at you with so much love in his eyes. he looks at you like the earth would look at the sun, as if you’re the center of his universe. you didn’t notice how intense it was at first, until one of your friends took a candid picture of the two of you. you weren’t paying attention to his facial expressions as you were on your phone in said picture, but the look on his face says it all. his smile is so wide, his eyes turned into little crescent moons, and his heart on his sleeve. you never told him about the picture because you don’t want him to be aware of the way he stares at you, but your friends have made it known on many occasions that taesan looks at you like you’re the girl who stole his heart and he has no intention of getting it back.
<3

I have a hot take, and I just wanna air it out here.
I’m going to be honest, I wonder if deep down people actually hate Caitlyn because of her wealth allowing her to act upon her grief. And I mean what she ACTUALLY did, not what she did plus huge doses of exaggeration (looking at you “she gassed the lanes and everyone suffered because of her” crowd - she gassed the HQs of two chembarons and the arcade where Jinx was. She didn’t gas the whole of the lanes and none of the innocents there).
If Caitlyn didn’t have the wealth and status that she has, she wouldn’t have been able to hunt Jinx, the Chembarons and the Shimmer factories with a strike force. She rolled up with her team to a secret council meeting and didn’t get locked up or thrown out because she had a cause to be there as the Kiramman heiress. She also more than likely wouldn’t have been chosen by Ambessa to rule under martial law if she was a commoner. Her convictions aside, no one of the ruling families would’ve respected that decision, and Salo would’ve been manipulated and given control instead.
If Caitlyn had no status whilst being an enforcer, and Cassandra was a lower class woman who died working in that building, it would’ve more than likely been a one woman rampage through Zaun, with or without Vi, trying to hunt down her mother’s killer. She still would be pissed, she would still be grieving, she may still try to get the Chembarons and Shimmer destroyed, and her quest for revenge would be seen as more justifiable and sympathetic to the average viewer. Her not being rich makes her “relatable” and “misunderstood”, whilst her being rich makes her “monstrous” and “not relatable”.
The difference is that it’s far harder to do so as a simple enforcer as opposed to someone with power. If you’ve ever hated someone that deeply - a drunk driver that killed a relative, a bully that drove your friend to self harm, a parent that abused you severely - you at your angriest would wish for the worst to happen to them, and those with power make it so.
Caitlyn’s wealth allowed her to achieve her desire for vengeance far more easily. She had the resources, respect and voice that Ambessa exploited and the elites listened to.
She had the power many of us wished we had when we were so terribly wronged.
Do I think she fucked up? Yes. Do I believe she deserves to be crucified and hated because of it? No. She still had lines she wouldn’t cross (the cells where Vi was kept we’re not allowed to be used, causing violence at checkpoints got her pissed at Rictus and Ambessa, improving prison food because of an off handed comment from Vi and still have it to her mother’s murderer etc), she didn’t want things to turn out the way they had, and actively tried to do better: not for the sake of redemption, but for the sake of doing what’s right (giving Sevika the Kiramman council seat, allowing Vi to free her sister and letting go of her hate, betraying Ambessa etc).
I believe in “do not turn people away from a better path even after they fall”, and many here grant that concession to Jinx, who has murdered, kidnapped and destroyed, some of that for years. Yet people say “she was traumatised so young and she deserves to be protected”. She does, but when a victim of hers - who got ambushed in her shower whilst naked, kidnapped, vandalised and lost her mother in the same night- needs the same, everyone cries “ShE’s a MoNsTeR and a FACIST! I HATE HER - Vi DeSeRveS BETTER!”
Like bruh … the fuck?
Tl:dr - Caitlyn haters may just subconsciously hate her for being rich enough to enact revenge against an unstable, possessive and murderous teen who killed her mother and assaulted her, and those same haters cannot comprehend that Jinx caused Caitlyn’s own trauma and don’t even care to acknowledge it because of her wealth and Jinx bias. You see “rich” as an insult (hell, it’s the first “insult” Vi flings at Caitlyn after reuniting with her), and a negative character flaw; even though we’d all like some level of wealth in our lives to make it easier.
Caitlyn Kiramman deserves better, end of story

I’m gonna start coining tumblr specific cognitive biases and logical fallacy terms…here’s the first ones I’ve theorized so far. (I’m using “actor” here meaning “the person, acting out the fallacy or bias for us all to see.”)
1. The unique contribution fallacy—reading a post of over 10k notes and the actor thinks of something they surmise is very clever to add. The actor imagines themselves to be the first special unique soul to contribute this add, when OP has actually received this “clever” comment 5000 times of those 10,000 notes driving OP up the wall.
2. The whataboutism bias— reading a post on any given particular topic, and believing that OP should say every single thing that you could possibly say about that topic under said single post. The actor doesn’t know they have a personal agenda on the topic and expects OP would have that same bias to talk about the side of the given topic that correlates to the actor’s personal bias, instead of allowing OP to be somebody who just writes what they wanted to write. This often works in tandem with…
3. The TLDR bias— seeing a post that is actually extremely long and thoroughly well written, often times with sources, numerous added threads of detail etc. but the actor doesn’t actually read the content of the FULL post. Then, in reblogging it or commenting on it, “adding” something that OP definitely originally said, and revealing oneself as somebody who doesn’t even read the detailed things that they re-blog or add on comments about.
3. The literal URL fallacy— not understanding the total chaos that is the Tumblr URL, in this fallacy the actor thinks that someone’s username is ALWAYS telling you exactly what the content of their blog might be. I’ll illustrate this one in like a totally random example way… Let’s say that you hypothetically made a blog that was all about calling out bigots back in the days of yore, the early twenty teens. And yet somehow, despite the fact that every other user around you seems to not be taken literally by their URLs, the actor decides that everything that you post is therefore bigotry…….even if what you’re posting is your own original content that you’re writing, calling out bigots. Too bad, so sad! Because in this fallacy, the actor is going to see you as what your URL says, literally, always.
4. The missed URL fallacy— this of course is the exact opposite of number three. It is where a blog has a very particular theme and format to it, that is the most important thing you can notice to understand the context of a post. So, again, just a random example here… But let’s just say that the intent of a blog is to always post submitted weird ass dreams people had, but the actor doesn’t realize this in their relogging and thinks that somebody is reporting a real life situation that was definitely, very specifically a wild fever dream.
5. The throw the baby out with the bathwater bias— a fan favorite among left leaning and social justice corners of the site, this bias is when the actor reads a post where somebody doesn’t use the most optimal, virtue signaling language for them personally, so the actor ignores the whole entire point of the post. It could be something as serious as and attention demanding as genocide, but somebody uses a word like “crazy” or “stupid” or “bitch” in it and so the actor’s worldview and general proclaimed values are casually tossed aside because the language that was used to deliver it was not “perfect.”
6. The choose your own reality bias—The actor reads a post and reblogs it, adding commentary that is responding to things that are definitely not said in the original post and definitely not anything in the realm of what OP was talking about. Close cousin to…
7. The this is definitely about me/self-own fallacy— this one is actually one of my favorites to spot out in the wild because it is SUCH a tell. It is like a slightly more specific version of the “choose your own reality bias” but this is when the actor reads a post and blogs it, adding commentary that is responding to things that are definitely not said in the original post as if OP is talking about them personally, and therefore revealing themselves as potentially shady or suspect in someway because why did they make it about them, if it’s not about them, you know?
8. The zombie post fallacy—in this one, the actor most likely does not have time stamps enabled on their dash because that isn’t something that happens here by default, and this site has a higher presence of zombie posts (by the way its designed and how it functions) than any other social media site I know. So when a zombie post from 2011 shambles across their dash in 2024, they react to that content as if it is completely new and relevant information or news or a situation to be dealt with in the modern era.
What needs added?

darling, starling
— 27. through it all — ✦ (wc: 0.8k)
notes: this took longer than expected ^^ hope you guys enjoy the chapter!
To Yae Miko's credit, she cut straight to the chase.
Not that Scaramouche would give her much credit in general, given that she had always treated him with such indifference over the years before he finally moved out. But he'd take his small blessings whenever he could.
It was a cut-and-dry deal: Yae Miko would interview Scaramouche regarding the recent scandal between his partner and one of the band members of Windborne. He would get the chance to clear the air with the help of one of the most influential news outlets in all of Inazuma, while Yae Miko would get an exclusive story people could only dream about.
It should have been over the moment they ended the interview. But here they are, making casual conversation. At least as casual as it gets between a son and his estranged mother-in-law.
Scaramouche has seen these tactics before. Whenever Yae Miko wanted information, she’d make casual conversation with the interviewee to get them to open up. And that’s when she strikes.
Ironically enough, it was also Yae Miko who taught him how to avoid this. She was the one who taught him when to give information and when to hold back; how to satiate people’s curiosity enough so they leave you alone. Basic media training — training he and Kaori knew by heart.
Yae Miko tilts her chin downwards, the way she does whenever she gets curious. “You’ve been back in Inazuma for a little over a year now. Is it nice living with them? I’m assuming so since no one’s spotted you packing your bags just yet.”
“I still live with them. But that’s none of your business.”
“Oh come now, you saw me turn off the recorder. Everything we’re saying right now is off the record.”
Against his better judgment, he yields, “It’s... nice. On the days when they actually wake up early, they help me cook. It’s become a routine of sorts.”
He knew that was exactly what she was looking for when he saw the hint of satisfaction in her eyes.
It’s a slippery slope, trusting a journalist. Some will risk their lives for the truth while others will stab you in the back while shaking your hand. But if it’s Yae Miko, he has no doubt she’ll only publish the truth, if only a little embellished. She has to sell stories, after all.
“You’re never usually this civil with me,” Scaramouche doesn’t attempt to mask his suspicion. “What do you hope to gain with a conversation that’s off the record?”
Yae Miko offered a cryptic smile, her eyes revealing a flicker of sincerity. “Am I not allowed to be curious? People are actively looking for you just for the chance at an interview and you reached out to me in the hopes of clearing the air about your relationship.”
He’d be loathe to admit that she was one of the few people he trusted to handle the story properly. But he still had to ask, “And now you’re just this so-called off-the-record conversation as some sort of blackmail?”
She sighs, “I’m getting an exclusive interview with the author who’s dating an Inazuman pop star. Would you blame me for asking a few questions? Besides, you’ll see none of this conversation mentioned in any articles.”
“How do I know you’re not just bullshitting me...”
“I can understand your apprehension, but words hold power, Scaramouche. Everyone in the industry knows this. And so do you.”

Scaramouche has never really seen eye-to-eye with Yae Miko on a multitude of things, but one of the few things they can agree on is that people shouldn’t just blindly believe what people say just because they have a large following. The Narukami Press has always strived to publish articles that are reflective of the truth.
But bias is inevitable, whether you work in journalism or public relations.
“A large majority of people are always going to want to chase the latest drama without caring if it’s true or not,” she starts. “You’ll find no such motivation in me to keep fanning the flames. I want them to die down as much as you do.”

“People like us have a responsibility to be careful with what we say and how we say it,” she continues. “The drama with Zenith was blown out of proportion, that much is for sure. People were hungry to see their downfall given that they were on top for so long but they were just as eager to drag you down with them.”

“Setting the record straight by yourself will be nearly impossible,” she states matter-of-factly. “But your friends have been preparing their statements to defend your partner, yes?”
He isn’t even surprised that she knows about this, especially a PR move this big. Working with his friends will be the best way to get the rumors to die down to a manageable level.
“Your word and Xiao’s will be what people hang onto the most. Make it count.”

“And fight for them, Scaramouche. They need you now more than ever. If you decide to ignore all my advice, then that’s fine by me. But never stop fighting for them.”
“Like hell I’d ever stop. No matter what happens, I’ll be with my partner through it all.”

summary: being the world-famous singer-songwriter "zenith", the limelight has been on you ever since the start of your career. however, the media becomes relentless when leaks of music you never meant to release begin to circulate. your friend scaramouche, meanwhile, seems to have gotten stuck while writing his second book. with a deadline fast approaching, he comes to you with a deal: act as if you're dating him so he can gather reference material and, in turn, he'll help keep the press' eyes off of your leaks until you release your next album. a win-win in your book, so why not help a friend out?

Opposites Detract AU part 2
I left some things out but here’s a clearer picture of what the rest of the story would have been like.
Pls read the og post right here
https://www.tumblr.com/grilledcheese-savage/763805500110487552/new-au-idea-opposites-detract-i-came-up-with-this
For some reason it won’t let me link it normally
Ok so as you can see in the picture, Marinette is Multimouse… but is that all she is?
For the first “season” or less, she is a civilian. She is free to live her life normally without having to take any unnecessary risks. Until she runs into this old man (master fu) and helps him out. I always thought this would be during feast or a situation like that, where either he’s in turtle hero form and she acts as a shield for him, or helps him like the first episode as a civilian. Either way, Master fu remembers this. He tests her more than he did chat noir and la coccinelle because it turned out pretty poor last time. He has paranoia. But Marinette is a pure soul so he leads her to his shop and reveals the miraculous to her eventually, UNBEKNOWNST TO CHAT NOIR AND LA COCCINELLE. Because while he was hoping the next guardian would have been ladybug, he needed a person he could truely trust. And that turned out to be Marinette. She becomes the guardian for the same reasons in the original, it becomes to dangerous for him to continue and he loses his memory. But Marinette continues to work in his shop (a cover for guardian duties).
Lila and Adrien also “work” at his antique shop but neither of them know she’s the new guardian (yet) I’m not sure if they’d find out immediately after master fu has to quit, or Marinette keeps up the charade a little longer. I think it’s more fun to imagine her knowing more than she let on.
When she meets master fu at first and starts training under him, she doesn’t get to keep a miraculous. She works under a lot more conditions than the others do since her job keeping secrets is incredibly important and fu still struggles to trust her. Eventually she proves herself of course, but the pressure of being guardian is so much to handle.
Adrien was going to be a guardian at first since he gained more of Fu’s trust than Lila, but since he has the Kwami of destruction, just like that other guardian man that I can’t remember the name of, they all have some kind of bias against them. He couldn’t trust him not to take the miraculous of the ladybug and grant a wish, even if he kept that from him. He also just doesn’t get along with La coccinelle at all, so he couldn’t have someone with a bias be guardian (he’s hypocritical).
More about Adrien: As cat noir he doesn’t get to be his flirtatious persona he originally has, instead he takes on a more serious altruistic approach since he is pretty hated unanimously by the public. His persona becomes more of a lie, as he tries to undo all of the hatred that came from the destruction of Paris that first day. Think of goro akechi in persona 5; he learns to distain his constant visual presence, the fact on and off the job he is constantly being watched. There’s not a moment that either one of his selves is on tv. And because he’s being filmed there are quick moments the news capture of him being kind to the public and turning around with a resentful face on. He doesn’t totally get to enjoy his freedom as chat noir since the police always try to capture him. But they fail to, and there’s a still a small few of fans of theirs that defend them.
Basically he gets cancelled a lot. 😅
La coccinelle is allowed to pick a miraculous to help her ONE TIME by Master fu, and she picked Chloe Bougeious with the bee miraculous. Chloe accepted and caused a lot of mayhem. Which was fixed. But after that was when he met Marinette and started planning defense and strategy with her. So the next time they needed help, he sent Marinette as multimouse which pissed Lila off because it made her think master fu still didn’t believe she could handle it. When really it was a mix of both not trusting her, and the fact that Marinette was prepared for a lot longer then she was.
This makes lila have a one-sided beef with multimouse, even though she’s secretly her civilian crush Marinette. Love square? Ehh. What Lila doesn’t realize is behind the scenes Marinette doesn’t hold any ill-will for Coccinelle. In fact, she defends her to master fu and convinces him to give Lila more freedom more often. But of course, doesn’t know this. And the unspoken beef continues.
Now, for Kagami and Luka’s place in this story.
While Marinette is a civilian she meets Luka and they become friends very quickly. Same with Adrien and kagami. But at this point in time, Adrien doesn’t really have a crush on kagami, since the slippery slope of coincidences caused Adrien to have a crush on Marinette first. Kagami however seems to be the only one who sees this darkness brewing in Adrien (emo I know, but I digress) Kagami, does in fact, gain a crush on Adrien because she thinks he’s like her- lost in this world, without a lot of friends to help.
Luka and Marinette however, still get together but after Marinette becomes a guardian. They don’t last very long because of this, because her constant work between the bakery, the antique shop, guardianship etc. makes her late to everything they plan to do together. Luka ends things believing that Marinette only likes him as a friend and that’s why she puts work ahead of him everytime. This breaks Marinette’s heart, even though she understands, so she accidentally ends up saying in front of Adrien that she’s not dating anymore, and is focusing on her career. Marinette is oblivious to the fact that both lila and Adrien have a crush on her.
Marinette sees that Luka is responsible and puts his feelings aside for the greater good and chooses him to have the snake miraculous part time. When she is multimouse, she’s pretty awkward around him since things left off kind of sad, but since Superion doesn’t know that Marinette is multimouse, he just assumes she’s shy or doesn’t like him. This is obviously not true. In fact, Luka becomes the more “chat noir” type in this, teasing the group and very lightly flirting with her. BECAUSE IT WOULD BE FUNNY AND UNPREDICTABLE. I see him being very suave with his harp. Like every musician is lol.
Kagami and Adrien don’t work out either, because deep down, even if he is getting more resentful of being pushed around and molded into a person he doesn’t know, he still is naturally kind hearted and knows that his resentment won’t last….. hopefully. And Kagami only has that, and fencing in common with him, at least in this universe so they stay friends. Plus she meets Felix anyways.
Speaking of Felix. He.. generally stays the same? Here’s the difference, when he say them on the news on day he judged them. Then when he saw/ met more of chat noir, he started to believe that they were like him and saw the world the same way as he did and starts to commit similar atrocities in the show with the peacock miraculous in hopes that since they were the same, they’d leave him be.
Since chat noir is growing increasingly disdainful, he more or less does want to leave him alone, but the part of him that knows it’s his duty wins every time since he is , still, a little more responsible in this than the show.
Also a reminder, Adrien doesn’t start out like this, he’s still the show’s version at the beginning, he just changes with every situation they find themselves in. So when Felix eventually comes to meet him, he assumes Adrien is the same as always- a goody two shoes who does what he’s told. That couldn’t be further from the truth 😂
Adrien is similar to Felix but still mostly tries to act like his old self, since it’s easier and gets him places. But when Felix comes over and is cold, Adrien gets frustrated and his resentful, chat noir self comes to life. Felix was so stunned by the slip up that he just, shut up. And left. Very confused.
Anyways I have many different ways of imagining Felix seeing the more contemptuous Adrien. He becomes much more interested in him. He wants to learn more, because maybe he’s not alone.
Idk what do you guys think? Should Adrien be the guardian? What would Alya’s role be? Pls reblog more ideas and add on to the AU!
Thanks!
