cannot stop thinking about how whumpy it must’ve been when i was given the anesthesia and passed out earlier. like even before the laughing gas i was SHAKING and TREMBLING in fear i fucking HATE needles. but i was also smiling the whole time because my fear response isn’t fight flight fawn or freeze it’s just. to laugh. for some reason. anyway after i got the laughing gas i was smiling and giggling even more and also shaking a lot more in both fear of what was gonna happen and also probably the laughing gas. they told me to take deep breaths which i did, still freaking out though. i started panicking even more when they put the IV in my arm, like wow that was horrifying i must’ve looked sooooo scared wooow.. so much fear.. (whumpers you know where to find me). anyway i eventually followed their advice and took deep breaths, knowing that it would make the laughing gas effect me quicker, but i did it anyway because its all i could do.

and guys. guys. THEN. then i started thinking about Anton and imagining i was his test subject and he was just doing an experiment on me and let me tell you. the way pure CALMNESS just WASHED over my entire body. like before i walked into the room i was like “anton save mee save me anton haha lol”. and then anton DID save me. in a way. but yeah i mean i KNEW that would happen because thinking about anton literally always calms me down anyway but i just thought that was funny lmao. woow

okay so then they injected me with the anesthesia. i don’t think i really felt it. then they put a rubber thing in my mouth to keep it wide open, and i was just thinking “haha wow they gagged me that’s gotta be one of my favorite whump tropes.” i just stared straight ahead (i couldn’t really turn my head anyway with the way the chair was set up), struggling hard to keep my eyes open, breathing really deeply, barely able to form a coherent thought.

i do NOT remember falling asleep. like one moment i was sitting there eyes wide and breathing heavily, staring at the doctors on either side of me, and the next i was like all woozy flopping around in the chair, head lolling to the side as the doctors were telling me to wake up. it was sort of a blur, i had NO idea what was going on at ALL. i remember slurring as i talked, telling the doctors i wanted to keep my wisdom teeth. they laughed and asked why and i just kept repeating that i wanted them to let me keep them (they did let me keep them! i’m gonna put them in a little jar like a mad scientist). then i kept asking for my phone and they gave it to me. they put me in a wheelchair to take me to the car because i could NOT walk, i was stumbling around, completely unable to stand or sit up straight, and when we got to the car i just flopped into the passenger seat like i was DIZZY. and i was also a bit nauseous. blood in my mouth and all that. oh i also had gauze in my mouth which definitely made talking a lot more difficult

so i really barely talked, i don’t think i said much else which i’m kinda happy for because i was high as FUCK and did not wanna ramble about a bunch of weird oc lore to my mom. i KNOW i would’ve talked about anton and/or silas nonstop. but i just went on my phone instead which is when i made all those posts from earlier LOL. those typos were genuinely not on purpose at all. i could not type. i’m being fully serious.

anyway yeah i just curled up in my seat on the car ride home, i wasn’t on my phone much because i was still really tired and it was hard to keep my eyes open and stay awake. the car seat was leaned back really far so i was laying down and could not see out of the car windows (but my eyes were closed so it didn’t really matter). but i just remember feeling every turn of the car and trying to guess where we were driving as if i was a whumpee who’d just been kidnapped and was trying to memorize the directions. as you can tell i knew this situation would be whumpy as fuck and didn’t hesitate to make a bunch of silly connections.

so then we got home and there’s not much else that happened. i just took a lot of pills and washed out my mouth and put more gauze in and then went to sleep. it didn’t hurt that much at all because of. the drugs and stuff. i slept for a long time and woke up feeling back to normal, in the way i wasn’t high af anymore. yeah so now my mouth kinda hurts but i have painkillers so it’s fine. i ate lasagna like 20 minutes ago. i’m probably not supposed to eat lasagna. i did it anyway (i took very very teeny tiny nibbles it was very basil core).

anyway that’s it i think! dunno why i wanted to share this whole experience but i thought it was kinda funny the way i kept finding whump in everything hahaha (like i said, my actual fear response is literally to LAUGH and GIGGLE at everything in fear. this needs to be used more in this community imo. and i think… i have a new oc for that actually…. teehee….. ominous.. very ominous dot dot dots…..)

but really this isn’t as bad as i thought it’d be. it’s gonna suck to eat a bunch of soft food and stuff but overall it’s not bad. at least for me. obviously this was only my experience and everyone’s will be different. i do kinda see the humor in everything whenever i’m in a bad or painful situation so that might also be why this is easier for me, idk! hope u all found this at least a little entertaining because i know i did haha

It was a random Tuesday in the middle of March when Tango realized.

He’d made what he could admit was a less than stellar joke that had somehow manage to catch Scott off guard and causing him to laugh and-

Tango was in trouble.

He could listen to that laugh all day, watch as mirth tugged up his lips, as cool blue eyes turned warm, a knowing sparkle that invited you into the joke-

Tango was in big trouble.

When Tango and Jimmy had broken up, he’d counted himself lucky - though perhaps not entirely unsuprised - that they had remained friends. Jimmy had, after all, a habit of remaining friends with exes. Something that had originally worried Tango at the beginning of their relationship, but was comforting when the two had mutually decided that being together just wasn’t in the cards for them, that no one in their friend group had to choose sides, and that he got to keep the news friends he had made through Jimmy.

Like Scott, who’s laugh was finally calming down, who was shifting, turning to face Tango more fully, causing a beam of sunlight to illuminate his cyan waves, creating a halo of light behind him.

Tango was in such big trouble.

“I’m going to go catch up with Cleo,” his voice is amused as he grins full force at the blond, “before you make me pass out due to lack of oxygen.”

Scott pats his shoulder as he move away from Tango before he could try to pul, himself together enough for a response, leaving him to watch him go, a blush high on his cheeks and his mouth hanging ever so slightly open.

Scott was, in a word, amazing.

Tango had always kinda known that was the case, but it was hitting him suddenly how great he was. He was kind, and funny, and cute, and-

And Jimmy’s ex.

Tango buries his burning face in his hands, a defeated kind of groan pulling itself from the depths of his chest.

“You good there, Tango?” A voice calls, and the moment gets worse, lifting his head to look into soft, sweet brown eyes.

“Hey Jimmy, yeah, I’m- I’m fine, promise.”

“That’s good,” he pauses, staring off into the crowd where Scott that disappeared, “he’s quite pretty, isn’t he?”

Tango jolts like he’s been shocked, staring wide eyed at Jimmy.

“Wh-what- what do you- I mean, like- objectively he- I-“ Tango’s words jumble in his mouth, coming out incomprehensible as the smirk on Jimmy’s face grows. He tries for a few more minutes before sighing, slumping with defeat, “I’m sorry, I know it’s weird.”

“Weird? How so?” Jimmy sounds so confused that for a moment, Tango forgets his reasoning.

“Because… well… he’s your ex? And I’m your ex? And like… isn’t there like… a code or something? That says I shouldn’t even be interested in him?”

Jimmy takes a moment to absorb the words before promptly bursting out laughing. Tango’s face burns a deeper red.

“Sorry, sorry,” he apologizes between laughs, “I don’t mean to laugh it’s just, I forget sometimes, that you’re still pretty new to the group. You don’t know the lore yet.”

“The lore?” Tango asks, vaguely incredulously, “what do you mean *the lore*?”

Jimmy sat down beside him, bumping their shoulders together lightly as the laughter finally tappered off. It’s a familiar gesture, a casual touch that never failed to warm Tango, that Jimmy always used in place of a verbal ‘relax.’

“I really don’t mean to laugh at you,” he reaffirms, “it’s actually really sweet that you are worried about that, but it’s entirely unnecessary. It’s just that pretty much everyone in this group has an ex who’s dated another ex. Hell, it wouldn’t even be the first time one of my exes has dated Scott.”

Tango stares at him, mouth slightly agape. He tried to ask follow up questions , but all that came out of his mouth was a stuttered mess of vowels and consonants that had Jimmy off giggling again.

Eventually they both calmed down again, sitting beside each other in amicable silence for a few moment, catching their breath.

“I do get it,” Jimmy told him after a moment, “the idea of it does go against… a lot of societal norms, but it works for us.”

And in a way, Tango completely gets it. Everyone gets along, there is a general sense of compatibility and comfort. It had taken Tango a good bit of time when he and Jimmy first got together to get used to the general touchy-ness that came with simple hang outs. He could see why the lines might get blurred, how easily people fell together and apart. When he actually put some thought into it, it made sense, in a way.

“Is this your way of saying I have your blessing?” Tango asked, only mostly joking.

Jimmy smiled, soft and genuine, “If that’s what you need to hear, yeah, absolutely you have my blessing.”

Tango couldn’t pretend that didn’t relax him, just a little.

Maybe he wasn’t in as much trouble as he feared.

2.4 Xianzhou continuance thoughts [part 2]

**SPOILERS** for everything up until entering the Shacking Prison, so as always, read at your own discretion if you haven’t reached this part of the story yet. Fair warning that I may mention some things that happen inside the prison as well, but hopefully not much. Sorry not sorry in advance for me obsessing over Feixiao.

As much as I adore Jiaoqiu’s character, I’m currently debating on pulling for him. After testing him out a bit inside the Shacking Prison, I realized I don’t really have a team that would suit him best? Of course I plan to pull for Acheron in the future but I might just hold off for now so I can save even more for Feixiao. I do hope these two and Moze have a good team synergy though. They seem like such a tight group and I’d love to use them all on a team one day.

Tee-hee, One Piece mention. Random, but I’m such a fan of Jiaoqiu’s fancy braid.

Noooo, I don’t like that her unknown medical issue can’t be healed! I mean, it’s not unheard of that Bailu pretty much said the same to Jingliu, about how bizarre it was and how there wasn’t much she could do to help. I don’t believe Feixiao to be mara-struck though, or at least I hope not. While this quest continued on the thought of her transforming into a Borisin came to mind a couple times but I have my doubts. I haven’t delved deep into any leaks about her lore so I can only speculate at this point. Even if those deaths in Penacony were fake, I don’t need any more to happen here, please.

Good boy!! Keep your promise! Heal this queen! I beg of you! I won’t lie, him being so dedicated to keeping his promise (which I’d love to hear the backstory of) to her sorta kinda flips a little switch off in my head saying “ship,” and I’m on board.

Been chatting about this a lot with others, but the question as to why Feixiao has no tail despite being a Foxian is interesting. I personally assumed that the lack of a tail was a result of some harsh battle where she got badly injured, but even with this brief flashback, it doesn’t appear that one is visible here either. Maybe she lost it before this fight? Or perhaps she never had one? Could not having a tail be the cause of her condition? Or was it really taken off from her? I haven’t a clue and it’s another reason why I’m so fascinated by her. Hopefully 2.5 sheds some light upon her past, or at least her character stories once she becomes playable.

Here’s another moment where the whole Borisin transformation idea popped into my head, especially after seeing how capable they are with shape shifting. Learning that the Foxians and Borisin share a common ancestor, the idea changed to Feixiao possibly being half and half? If so, then the condition she’s suffering from might be the Moon Rage? Similar to what we experience when fighting the Borisin down in the Shackling Prison. Add Bailu’s comment about “enjoy some tasty food” and how hungry Hoolay was too.. hmm. Doesn’t help he and Feixiao both have white fur. With how much the Foxians detest the Borisin, keeping this part of herself hidden would but ultimately stressful and probably taxing on her physical and mental health.

Moze is just.. so unironically funny. We have this heavy conversation happening and he chooses to cling to something so simple a food, which is fair. Food is always a good thing.

When Feixiao mentioned she was going to meet up with an old war friend, no alarms rang in my head telling me that it could be another Foxian that I enjoy, which is a shame but also wonderful because the surprise of her and Yukong being friends was worth it. 30 years might not seem like a long time for them, but it’s a decent chunk for people like us.

And yet so much has happened during those years for them. The time does throw me through a loop though.. I always imagined that Yukong lost Caiyi and gave up flying so much longer ago? Because then Qingni (Yukkong’s adopted daughter) couldn’t be much older than 30, right? Caiyi had just returned from maternity leave before she lost her life and Qingni never even knew of her real parents until the events of Yukong’s companion mission. I dunno, I’m just surprised. I definitely thought the daughter was older than that and the tragic loss in Yukong’s life happened ages ago.

Everyone give your utmost praise to Jiaoqiu right now for keeping our gorgeous general alive!

For real though, what on earth even happened to Jingliu and Luocha? like they both showed up in the Shackling Prison at the end of the main Xianzhou story alongside Jing Yuan, but stuff also happened in Jingliu’s companion quest at Scalegorge Waterscape where Luocha was sent away with some Cloud Knights before Jingliu’s fight with Blade where the quest just sorta ends there afterwards. My memory is terrible and I’m not entirely sure which order these events play out, but whatever they’re up to, they’ve been awfully quiet. With how often Jingliu’s name is brought up later on, it gives me small hopes that she could return in the later half of the story. Wouldn’t that be nice to see her take down Hoolay again?

Poor Jing Yuan can’t catch a break with these accusations. This entire quest also feels like the first time I’m hearing so much of this Marshal, but I’m certain it’s just my memory failing me. The main story of the Xianzhou wasn’t my favorite mission out of the bunch, but I am enjoying this one, surprisingly.

I do love the bond these women share with each other. Yukong asks about the Alliance’s plan regarding Jing Yuan and Feixiao graciously provides answers knowing that Yukong can keep a secret. Respect! You love to see it!

Suddenly, the Prisoner of Deep Confinement relic set makes sense to me. I never really took the time to look into the details considering how little DOT units I actively use, but it’s pretty cool to see where the inspiration for it came from and it actually being worn like this.

Now when “Whistling Flames” was mentioned, I first thought of that ghost ship Yukong saw at Fyxestroll Garden for reasons I’m not entirely sure of, but after some light searching, it’s apparently the guild Tingyun was part of?

It sweet to know that Yukong still hasn’t given up searching for clues about Tingyun might actually alive, but if Ruan Mei somehow found Tingyun first, I dunno if I should be relieved or concerned considering our crazy scientist had a habit of.. experimenting.

With how much chatter the Wardance received from trailers and livestreams, I’m honestly shocked that there isn’t much about it happening in the story? It may be because I’m hyperfixating on Feixiao and everything else much more, but my interest isn’t nearly as piqued as I thought it would be. I haven’t done that one side quest revolving around March so I assume there’s more to it there, but so far her sword training arc seems more of a background story. I did find it cute how both her masters gave her gifts at the start, with Yunli providing her new outfit and Yanqing crafting the swords, of course.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this man could very well poison someone if he wanted to.

I don’t remember much about this brief scene.. something about Yanqing’s doubts and the obstacles he faces or whatever, but it was pretty.

Moving a highly dangerous criminal out of prison to somewhere else? Surely nothing will go wrong! And definitely not right before you make your own move either! That would be crazy.

To no ones surprise, things do eventually take a turn for the worst, but that’s all to be discussed next, so have this, because why not:

misc lore drop day 42/?

I talked about it randomly yesterday but I’ll expand on it more today. I like how I’ll read one little thing, and then it inspires me sooooo much, like completely changes my perspective. Thank you random historical biography write-ups for completely changing my life. I guess sometimes I worry I’m being too ooc, both in the context of the “characters” themselves but also, historically. Then I read something that validates what I’ve been thinking, and it’s so relieving. But yeah. Fernando being raised specifically to NOT be a king. So fascinating. I think in real life, he’s obviously a pretty self confident, aspirational person, and I worried a bit I was making him a bit too insecure about being a king. However, with this context, it makes so much more sense. He’s still a very confident, self assured person, just one that’s been beat down into submission most of his life. I think that makes his belief in himself even more admirable, considering it's a trait he had to actively work to keep. His egotism is self defense, something that’s kept him going for years. It’s so Fernando for him to have people keep telling him his whole life that: “you’re not going to be a king.”  Yet he still keeps dreaming about it. 

Fernando not being raised to be a King has both positives and negatives. For one, the whole process of the arranged marriage doesn't break him as much as it would other people. Of course he's pissed and grumpy about it for a while, because it’s still a deal designed to cage him and keep him under some control. But it's also comforting. He never actually expected to become a king, even if it’s been his life’s work, but now he is!!! A lot of his grumpiness though comes from how he thinks someone who was raised to be king would react to this situation. “Oh, well, a proper king would not be pleased, so I am not pleased.” He has to stick to this rigid ideal of a king because that’s literally what got him into this position, refusing to let go of this ideal. Though it’s kinda funny that that’s where his self assurance of “what would a real king do?” goes to, considering a “real” king would have instantly pushed for war. It’s humiliating to forever have your accession tied to being basically a greater king’s consort. But. It does mean you become king. 

Obviously, this is one of the main reasons why he has trouble with Seb. Being a king,and then later an emperor, is natural to Seb because he’s been raised his entire life with that role in mind. Whereas it is a constant learning process for Fernando. He has that inflexible image In his mind of what being a king HAS to be like, because he wasn’t raised with any other given perspective. So he  doesn't understand Seb, who is a very unconventional king-emperor. The palpable difference between someone who has been a king since he was 9 years old vs someone who’s had been raised specifically to NOT be a king. When Fernando eventually opens up about this to Seb, Seb would probably be soooooo baffled. The way he was raised was very natural to him, he was destined to be emperor. He can’t even imagine what it was like to not be raised in that way. I guess it’s odd for him to imagine having to constantly be self aware whether he’s being kinglike or not, because he always has been assured that he was. Meanwhile for Fernando, it’s like trying to professionally play a game you only ever had watched from afar.

INVISIBLE F*CKING THING BLOW IT UP NOW!

Okay, so do you ever have that one random side character/character of the week that you just end up really liking for some reason? Like, Neronga's kinda growing on me. Maybe it's because the concept of a kaiju that you can't freakin' see is strangely funny to me.

I'm most of the way through the first set of Ultra Goobers, got two more monsters left for now, before I get onto scripting and trying to put a video together.

Now Neronga’s wanted to do was get up each morning and feed on some free electricity from a conveniently nearby power plant, but then the humans had to call Ultraman …  Stellar admits that he could be kind of a jerk to his opponents early on in his time defending the earth. So Neronga was dunked, clowned on and utterly humiliated in the resulting fight. It caused him to become a bit of a joke in-universe, so he eventually sought out Red King’s tutelage in order to Lock The Fuck In and eventually give the Silver Alien Asshat some “well deserved” payback.

I wanna note that as easy as it would be to poke fun at this dude’s goofy appearance, I guess it’s more that he doesn’t put up much of a fight? There’s a meta joke here about how whenever he shows up, he’s an early episode (i.e. low tier or “free win”) monster.

Also can blud decide if he’s a quadruped or not. I think he is, but “stands up” to fight/defend himself.

He’s the one that turns invisible, so gonna find a fun way to depict that (maybe colored line art? He’s probably gonna end up a fair bit like his Rising design, with bits from the older ones (maybe the “hazard pattern” back from Shin if I can make the colour palette work?). The electrical blasts now come out of his hands/claws instead of his…uh…ears? What the hell are those?

Okay, so when I first saw images of him I thought he looked quite short (…Okay, by Kaiju Standards…), but then got caught off guard seeing an episode with him and noticing he’s huge when reared up (giving Shimo). Here I kinda wanna keep him short…Or a least he doesn’t gain much height when standing bipedally.

As for lore, for centuries the locals had whispered stories about how if you looked towards the mountains during thunderstorms, you could see Neronga standing on them, essentially becoming a giant lightning rod to feed on the lightning bolts. In the modern age, however, he has much easier (and importantly, much more frequent) access to energy due to human development. He’s gone from a folk story to kind of a nuisance.

Also with that “Baragon Suit Brothers” meme I posted a while back, I’m thinking it’d be really funny if Gabora and Magular actually are his brothers. He could be like the older sibling that ends up being the primary caretaker of the other two. Idk.

anyways. long ass answer ahead! tldr it depends on your definition but. a lot.

in terms of large things, i have a thumbnailed full song lore animatic— this is the entire reason i’ve been making animatics in the first place! i had 0 experience, so ive been practicing—, a personal project ill slowly be introducing (it certainly won’t get in the way of your mcyt fanart, though, i dont think i’ll ever be free of the brainrot), and umpteen edited audios for more funny animatics should the mood strike!

i also have those big like. group artworks. the profile views and the cwilbur designs and the hand art… all stuff that is currently in hibernation but not forgotten

i think the same can be said for any wip i have— which i have, if i was to guess, around 50 of? from the past few months. in fact i’m going to gather every single one (ok hi past me, i just did and these are all from the past 3 and a half months. every last one left unfinished. be warned for horror/blood and violence in some!)

i let myself kinda go with the flow in terms of fanart, i tried to finish everything i started for a while but it’s kinda hard to not get sidetracked LMAO. i think the crux of it is considering things i do from start to finish in one sitting as stylistic experiments/learning, whereas ones i shelve tend to become more ‘i will do this when i’m confident enough that i can do it WELL’. the whole daunting concept of having sat on an idea/composition for so long and ending up fumbling it when i pick it back up scares me off KEKW

i can safely say that i want to finish every single piece there (minus maybe the ask saga, which i forgot about until now and i dont think i remember enough to keep it going LMAO) though with most itd end up being partially/fully redrawn! idk, it’s a fun reservoir of ideas to grab from (i say, while never touching the old ideas because i want to execute them perfectly)

Okay I know nobody is invested in the story like I am but here’s some facts about the story I’m working on

Background: this is all being based around the Muppets mayhem show and that canon. ( yes I know muppets doesn’t have crucial canon but I’m using this show as a base )  the character that’s most focus on is cherry, which I post about a lot on here. However, how she’s even involved in the story is because of…

How cherry becomes involved: when the mayhem is going on tour, Penny points out that they don’t have an opening act. Nora agrees, saying that they need to find somebody. Hannah gives her opinion and says hey, there is this rising star her name is Cherry maybe we can try to sign her on the tour? Everyone seems to be on board with this, but doesn’t know where to start but luckily enough, Penny knows cherry on a very personal level. So to put it into simpler terms… penny, basically tells Cherry that she’s going to go on tour with the mayhem, because… she’s like her aunt kinda? So Cherry goes.

Facts about the story that are important to keep in mind:

• teeth, and Penny are still in a relationship during this time

• Cherry has her own band named wild cherry! The leader singer is obvi Cherry she also does guitar. The drummer is named Joana Cherrys best friend. And idk what Lucas plays but he’s also in the band.

• with the mayhem I kind of grouped them together, with who I think would be close friends based in the story * obviously the whole band is but * Nora and Janice are close gal pals. Moog gets kind of close with Floyd and teeth as well. Obvi zoot and lips are close BUT I think animal has a close kin ship with zoot :3

• Cherrys childhood is touched on so here’s a brief on that: how is she even was able to get into? The music scene is because she’s been in that scene her whole life. Her biological dad had a rock band back in the 60s and when she was born he literally didn’t want to be a father. So she was kind of stuck going whatever they went the drummer in the band ( named Pete ) through out Cherrys, whole life raised her. To cut it kind of shorter with the band drama Pete gets custody of Cherry when she’s 12 and the band breaks up for good. It’s a media shit show type of ordeal. Raising cherry besides, Pete is his brother named Will. They’re both probably in their mid - late 60s. Pete is a shag dog muppet and will is a poodle muppet who’s a lawyer. ( I think one brother being a hippie drummer and the other being a lawyer is so funny ) this is just base info

• even though I post about teeth and cherry a lot it’s a very slow burn story between the two. It’s a lot of subconscious feelings at first that get pointed out later by characters in the story.

yeah, i want to get an explanation for why he named himself splinter in universe. the turtles being splinters of his relationship with big mama reminded me of how leo is kind of a perfect combination of lou jitsu and big mama's personalities. his goofiness is like big mama's and his showmanship like lou jitsu's and his need to win. there are more similarities but you know. personally, I like the idea that big mama is older than draxum and that she's had so many lovers (bc she's a jorōgumo) but lou jitsu is her favorite in her whole life. i just think that supernatural lifeforms being a sucker for a regular degular person is cute. also lou is similar bc he dated a ton of ppl before big mama but wanted to marry her over everyone else <3 the hc of her name being big mama bc lou gave her that name is gold!! that's funny and sweet on big mama's end. she is so charmed by lou, bro. she totally has commitment issues haha. but it took lou 11 years to decide he wanted to marry big mama. he thought hard about that one which makes it more tragic T_T yes!!! you know how big mama canoncially has one of lou's mutant daughters? i hc big mama naming her after an artist lou liked bc she is not over him. i wonder how old the battle nexus is. i figured dating people and throwing them in the battle nexus was an ancient scheme of big mama's but maybe it was new. there's lots of lore we're missing in general :/ i think splinter is embarrassed of who he is now, so telling his kids that he used to be the coolest guy ever and now he's a little rat with no friends, insanely depressed, and kinda just sucks in general is humiliating. the person he is today pales so intensely compared to lou jitsu, he doesn't want to compare it

Honestly, knowing she’s a jorogumo (which I didn’t know about before) does make me think my headcanons are a little off. And the kidnapping lovers thing makes a lot of sense. Though I doubt many of the humans survive as long as Lou Jitsu.

Perhaps it’s just tradition that she kidnaps them when they propose.

She definitely has elapsed a lot of control in the Hidden City, so it’s very likely she’s older, or has old connections. Everything regarding the Hidden City seems a complete mystery that almost anything seems possible. Given a lot of the history, the Hidden City seems even older than New York, which would imply they weren’t kicked to the depths but chose them. And if the Hidden City is that old, are there more Yokai cities hidden under more big cities? Are there Small Town Yokai civilizations? Are they really all that suppressed if they have this many options?

(They feel like they have more control just because they are such a secret). These points kinda express how insane Draxum must sound to the other Yokai as well…

Whatever Big Mamas backstory, Lou Jitsu is proven one of her favs, and possibly the only human she’s ever actually (accidentally) fallen in love with. Alongside Lou’s own commitment issues, she was probably hoping they could keep what they had, which led them to dating for a decade.

Getting a tad personal here, but I’m writing a separated AU where Leo is in the custody of Big Mama. And one of the problems arises when Leo meets Donnie and wants to be friends with him. In a weird way, it might remind Big Mama of her relationship with Lou (too invested in the fates of someone other than herself) and she tries to stop it. It’s one of my favorite arcs, along with the Draxum one.

I’m glad you liked the nickname Big Mama coming from Lou Jitsu. I really like that one too. But if she’s been around so long, I wonder what everybody else thought when she changed her previous name (which was probably just another code name).

All this Yokai drama makes me wonder how long the boys could actually live for. Could be over a hundred years, especially cause Draxum wouldn’t strive for anything less. It’s just sad to think they could thoroughly outlive April.

Sariel Route Review

So I finished Sariel's route yesterday and here are my thoughts on it. Obviously spoilers for Sariel, Clavis and Luke’s routes

A lot of people disliked Sariel's route for its apparent lack of romance, but I love it. Now, that's probably because I am in the incredibly funny position of being an aro playing otome games and making myself gag with how sappy they are, so for me the romance is not a part I enjoy in most routes, just something I have to deal with.

"Why do you even play then?" Says the clueless alloro.

For the characters, soft porn, one liners and, of course, the LORE! Give me a YouTube channel and call me MatPat cause I'm all about that lore.

Back to Sariel.

For me Sariel’s route was basically perfect, it had intrigue and suspense and didn’t stop the action in its tracks just so the characters can make googly eyes at each other for half the chapter.

First for the things I didn’t like. I don’t like Sariel’s backstory, it’s much too cluttered. They wanted to make him this super accomplished person before he came to the palace but also have him grow up with the princes. So they made him a famous 10 y/o gang leader. It’s so fucking weird and I’m amazed I didn’t see more people talking about it. It would have been fine if he had a group of five or six other kids and they were known in their own town for beating people with pipes and small robberies and the like. But the scale we are shown is just ridiculous, they could have fixed this very easily if they would have made him arrive at the palace just a few years later. A famous 15-16 y/o gang leader is still ridiculous but not as much as a kid that hadn’t even started his puberty yet. 

I liked the MC. She is smart, a quick learner, adapts easily and she’s a good improviser, all of this coupled with being really knew into that life and having little to no experience makes her pleasant to follow, she is probably my favorite MC, closely followed by Clavis’. She didn’t ride on her status as Belle and took her responsibilities as Sariel’s apprentice very seriously even if it was only a cover. I really liked that she proved herself to be not only a competent Belle but also a skilled Minister with the potential to greatly help the country in the future.

Hot take but I really like Sariel and MC’s dynamic. A lot of people hated it but I like it. I’ve seen people say that they felt like the romance kinda came out of nowhere at the end without any built up, but I disagree. There is definitely A LOT of pinning between them during the route, on MC’s part but also on Sariel’s. The reason why they only acted on it at the very end was because both of them, and the story, recognised that there was no time for romance and it wouldn’t have been appropriate.

Relationships between a superior and an employee in the workplace are complicated. Now, I’m no moral crusader and I would’ve adored to have Sariel fuck MC on his desk between lessons since Chapter 2, and frankly the whole game toys with power imbalance in relationships because that’s just the nature of royalty dating commoners. Unfortunately Sariel is not the type to abuse his position in that way (regardless of how hot it would have been, I should write a fic about boss!Sariel and secretary!Emma). Sariel was keenly aware of his position the entire time and acted accordingly. At the end MC becomes Sariel’s apprentice for real and they start dating but at that point I see them as colleagues more than master and apprentice, even the princes treat MC as a full on Minister by that point.

Here comes my favorite part . . . the KING.

I fucking hate the King. He is just like every pathetic guy I’ve ever met.

I think Cybird made a good job of portraying someone who is so shit, through the idealised lense of the one singular person who liked him.

Sariel had a toxic father-son relationship with the man. They’ve known each other since Sariel was 10 and the King was more of a father to him than to any of his children. But even keeping that in mind, Sariel still had to essentially care for the emotional needs of a man child, becoming his only confidant and carrying on his desires and hopes for the country alongside his own grief, because Sariel was the ONLY one that actually grieved for that man.

Look, I don’t like saying bad things about Jin’s mom, but she chose wrong. We are told that there were no complaints about the King before the previous Belle was chased out but I highly doubt this. We are told this by Sariel, who wasn’t there and has probably found out about this FROM the King. The man was also full of shit, he claimed to love the country but he never showed it. He let Sariel and his sons rule his country WHILE he was alive. I can understand the very end, when he was too sick to move, but there was Blood Stained Day. Not even an invasion motivated this man to get off his ass. The princes had to go and fight themselves and I don’t think that we, as a fandom, realise just how young they were. Most of them were in their teens, only Chevalier and Jin were adults, Chevalier, the guy who sacrificed war prisoners was 20 or 21 and Clavis, the mad man who ran to save them and almost died in a fire because of it was 19 or 20, only Jin could have been considered an actual adult at the time, and he was 22. And what was the King doing during all of this? Throwing himself a pity party, like usual.

He did this in basically every flashback, called himself incompetent and a bad King, and he was right. 

Not only was he a bad King and a bad father, but he was an atrocious husband. Anita is the clearest example of that. I can understand why he didn’t like the Queen and the other two marriages were purely political, but he wanted to marry Anita, this was something that he WANTED, no one could have or would have forced him to do it. Regardless of that he completely ignored her after she gives birth, he pitied her, sure, but he never extended a hand towards her. He saw how her mental health was going to shit and he cried when she died, for her and the twins, but he did nothing to prevent this, he could’ve but he didn’t.

The King was not a broken man, he was a pathetic one. He spent his entire life after his girlfriend was chased out throwing himself a pity party, ignoring his duties and hurting people. He was most likely depressed, yeah, but that doesn’t excuse abandonment, neglect and rape.

Oh yeah, let’s talk about the two giant pink elephants floating around in Sariel’s route, the two KNOWN sexual assaults inflicted by the King upon Leticia Lelouch and Luke’s mom. 

They are not mentioned, which is weird considering that two princes are the product of that and one happened WHILE Sariel was at the court. This man was utterly despicable. What he did to Luke’s mom can be argued as the King quite literally losing his mind out of grief and because she looked like the previous Belle (a stupid argument, but fine, I’ll take it), but what he did to Leticia was downright monstrous. He wanted to hurt her; he wanted to torture her; he did that out of pure malice, because a maidservant pestering him to have tea with his wife from time to time pissed him off so much.

Sariel is not stupid, it’s not that he is unaware of all of this, he is just consciously choosing to not think about it. He never tries to argue against it, he never tries to convince Luke that the King was “a good guy, actually”, because he knows what kind of man he was. When a loved one is proven to have done something horrible, many people are more inclined to ignore it, excuse it or deny it, because they love that person too much to abandon them, even after something like that. Sariel does the same thing, for him it doesn’t matter that the King was a horrible person, it only matters that he was good to him.

Sariel’s route portrayed this dynamic perfectly, it might have been infuriating, but I enjoyed this direction and the care the writers took to tell the audience just how shit that man was while maintaining just how dependant Sariel was on him, to the point of ignoring his wrongdoings any chance he got.

Shattered Reality Theory?

I call it that as if it’s a well known theory BUT ITS nOt bc I haven’t shared it yet

So basically this theory explains a lot of continuity errors and contradictions and the faulty way the VT world works Imo. (Which irl is only like that bc the irl creators didn’t keep track of everything but that’s fine) But basically what I believe/vibe I get is that the main dimension where all the main event happens is a larger fragment of a reality that’s now shattered. And other dimensions like the 13th Dimension like the Anti-challas for example (and the hundreds of other numbered dimensions 😭) are other shards of that reality. So basically the whole thing is barely functioning.

And also, it might not have a proper after life or “ghost dimension” … or “veil” and that’s why ghosts are so common and capable of ridiculous things??

Also an alternative minor theory attached to this one is that sometimes the reason that characters come back from the dead is because there’s no space for like more souls in the afterlife(?) or where ever ghosts are supposed to go. But also I’m kinda iffy on that one.

Basically the VT world(s) is like a broken world- similar vibe to when a planet is thrown out of orbit.

Funny enough though is that in the VT 5 year anniversary stream Johnny Ghost from the future/Alt time line tries warning Present Day P.I.E. (Ghost was retired at the time) that they need to get their Ghost to rejoin P.I.E. Because in future Ghost’s future Housekeeper “shatters reality.” But that implies it hasn’t happened but will- so idk but genuinely is a fascinating coincidence (there’s SO MUCH lore in that stream btw bahsjd)

I do believe that the Divine One (a canon deity made of 13 beings that also created Housekeeper) may have tried fixing or adopted their shattered reality?? And maybe housekeeper got mad and/or jealous and started causing problems idk tbh 😭

Also another part of how i picture this broken world is that sometimes it tries to fix itself (either that or it’s the divine one) so it’ll like repeat events and it’ll change what happened (which would explain certain contradictions. Example: Ghost originally being afraid of birds. Then way later Ghost is completely unphased by birds but Toast is terrified of them?? That happened in an anniversary stream too but it was either year 3 or 4)

Basically a bunch of cosmic horror / reality stuff 😭

(I picture it a lot like a dirty/scratched/broken CD that’s bouncing around, replaying or stuttering or skipping around in the cd player kinda lol but also it’s floating through space deeper and deeper into the void while grabbing the attention of interdimensional higher beings that see it as a cool toy)

Also Acalacams (if you know what those are) kinda tie into this as well as the Divine One but I’ll get to that later

This is also my personal headcanon but I’m curious to see what others think :3

Just discovered your invader Zim my hero crossover comic. What inspired the idea? Its so unique to me I'd never have thought of combining them the way you did

Hi! I’ve always been a fan of MHA and when the Invader Zim movie came out it sorta reignited my obsession for invader zim too lol. Then I guess I was just thinking of different ways to combine the two, I guess? I liked Zim and Dibs relationship but I also just really like Izuku, so I ended up with the reincarnated Dib through Izuku idea because they’re so similar. Dib is also Quirkless and very much a nerd. Izuku is a hero nerd, combined with cryptid knowledge he’d be unstoppable. Dib and Izuku combo just made sense from there.

I also thought about the lore aspects a lot. If you couldn’t tell from the comic (spoilers maybe) Dib died and Zim lived for like many many years without him. The Irkens actually killed Dib so Zim destroyed the Irkens left and set up base on earth in case any other aliens try to destroy His planet. Through him and Girs efforts, quirks were also created (because I think it’s funny), but Zim forgot about the other paranormal creatures and organization that Dib was obsessed with. Those creatures also gained quirks and were able to hide better from society and kill more people.

The swollen eyeball conspiracy organization switched focus to quirks when they started to appear and then gradually transformed into the HPSC. Now that Dib is back (as Izuku) he sees the paranormal stuff has been forgotten and completely unchecked and also murdering people. However, a lot of Dibs solutions also involve murder, so his plan is to become a hero so he won’t go to jail for dusting a vampire and so on.

Spoilers- It might take a while but I’m planning on them yk, killing the mermaid and then going home. Aizawa and Tsukauchi find the mermaid body and are confused and they get led back to the two boys. Aizawa gets the paranormal investigation for dummies speech and PowerPoint from Dib and this poor man is basically now their babysitter. He does not let them go hunting monsters by themselves at all until they’re certified heroes. But he also teaches Izuku to fight, so that’s also cool.

Also! Since Dib is now Izuku, he absolutely doesn’t care about Bakugo anymore. This man has the Paranormal, and Heroes, AND a whole alien friend to keep him busy. He is totally over Bakugo and very annoyed he has to deal with him at school alone. Which is great when Zim ends up going to his school. Not for Bakugo, but still.

Oh gosh they haven’t even gotten to UA yet, man. But! I’m gonna have Dib be very good at inventing and MacGyver-ing stuff, so he makes weapons and gadgets to fight people and it’s awesome. Even better if he uses paranormal artifacts and spells and stuff just to mess with people.

Zim on the other hand is only there to protect Dib, and becomes a slightly morally gray, maybe reluctant, hero. Bakugo absolutely disposed Zim. For many reasons. Mostly for being stronger than Bakugo. Zims weakness is water, he’s got so many cool stuff in his pak to straight up murder this firecracker.

And Gir! I think him and Aizawa would get along. Aizawa becomes parent to this smol robot and it’s gonna be hilarious. Everyone at UA is like Aizawa why does your class have a robot?? He’s like class pet. And walks away. The dog costume fools no one.

Anyways, this was really long but hopefully that answers your question. It’s kinda very specific niche comic that I kinda just made to mash my two fav things together? And they kinda just fit pretty well so I’m glad you liked it 🥰💖

Starting with Jackalope because- does it even count as a character? It’s more of a plot device than anything. I’m pretty sure I could point to several background characters with more interesting things going on (Rei, Hinako, all the people in Bring it On who I will make a post about one day mark my words).

That’s hyperbole, of course. Jackalope is cool enough, it does what it needs to do, and while I haven’t read all the minigrams yet, it seems like a funny dude in those. It serves well enough as the somewhat-charismatic mascot that guides the audience surrogate (Es) through the insanity of the plot. I… could however do without the weird comments about some of the girls being pretty or whatever. Why are these kind of mascots always oddly horny?

Anyways, I really don’t know what else to say. I think it’s neat only Es hears it talk, that’s just funny. And the fact it cooks all the meals is just a very nice image.

Also if it’s a Minecraft rabbit does that mean I can take its feet and make a jump boost potion? How does this fit into the lore I wonder.

Whatever, who cares about that thing? We gotta talk about the teen, the myth, the legend! No interest in romance (that we know of), vaguely uncomfortable at the mere mention of sex, and uses they/them pronouns! Wow, Es is just like me fr! There is a reason I have them as my pfp, you know.

I love Es. As a concept, it’s already hilarious that the Warden of the Hell Prison is a fifteen year old amnesiac, but the fact they take it so seriously is incredible. Not just because of the very cool philosophical implications of their very peculiar worldview, but also because it’s just objectively funny. They woke up, no idea what’s going on or how they got there, immediately decided they would devote themselves wholeheartedly to the task set out by a rabbit with horns who only they can hear talk. And then sang a banger to kick the series off, Undercover goes hard.

Speaking of songs, I’ve always wondered if we’re ever gonna get another non-cover Es song. I think they deserve it, as a treat. It’d be great to get some more insight on them.

At least the covers are really good, and can be kinda funny at times. I haven’t listened to all of them, but Es’ somewhat emotionless delivery is sometimes really funny. Like, Fuuta will be over there shouting his heart out, then cut to Es like “you’re the crazy one. bang bang bang.” God I love them.

But the main part of Es’ character are all the VDs, where we get to see them really talk a bunch. And wow this kid is so silly! (Read: they’re immensely fucked up). I really want to know more about them.

Their views on morals and justice are especially interesting to me. They have such a blind faith in Milgram and in their own judgement, it’s impressive. It’s especially funny seeing them try to piece together some kind of cohesive logic as to why they voted people Innocent or Guilty out of our dumbassery.

And of course, this pride in their position and their occupation is great for foiling with several of the characters around. I want to see what they do in the Kotoko VD this Trial, I need them to go off on her ass it’s gonna be great. Fuuta’s second VD also was great for them, such an interesting dynamic. Especially because through Es, Milgram can essentially speak directly to us and confront us in our judgements. I think it’s fantastic.

And then Amane. The parallels man. The unwavering faith in a collective of really fucked up people (Amane’s cult or Milgram fandom which is worse?) guiding their actions, the way Amane sees Milgram as a potentially ideal world the same way Es has full faith in it already, the obsession with punishing wrongs, the fact they’re children!

Listen, I don’t think I need to copy paste the Puerto Rico line. You know what it is, I know what it is. It’s the most out of pocket, crazy comeback I’ve ever seen in my life. The fact it’s 100% a total lie just makes it even funnier, like Es really just said that for no reason huh? The sibling dynamic with these two is strong, I love them so much. 00-03-08 found family where the fics at?

Also speaking of Amane, you know that theory that she may have DID? I think it’d be very funny if next trial a different alter rolls up and stabs Es knowing only one of the alters is affected by Milgram rules. This is why we have to inno Amane, so our Warden doesn’t die before the end of Trial 3 you see? I’m spinning the Es post into inno Amane propaganda, how about that?

Anyways, enough Amane. So you know how Es’ amnesia is basically the biggest part of their character after their devotion to Milgram? That’s why I love when we get small indications of how Es is actually like beyond that.

Es: [Talking about Kazui potentially cheating on his wife] It’s a personal dislike of mine. People who act based on their sexual urges like that, that is. Kazui: It’s personal? E: Yeah. That’s right. K: That’s strange. I did think that, despite being neutral as a Warden, you had some things you dislike, but… E: … K: Isn’t it unusual to openly reveal a personal dislike as a personal dislike?

See? They have a personal dislike! They have individual thoughts! What’s the deal with that?! Tell me more Es please I wanna know what your deal is! Why do you hate that kind of thing I am begging hands and knees I gotta know! Unless there is no reason which is also perfectly understandable.

Es: Then…what were you aiming for with…that is…your compensated, dating…. Yuno: Why are you stammering? *Gasp* You're so pure!

Es will talk about shit like murder and organ harvesting without a stutter then get squeamish about dating and sex. Oh they just like me fr fr.

Jackalope: [tongue click and raises head] Es: Would you like me to pet you? J: NO! Open the damn door! You can tell just by looking, can’t you?! E: Ah. [footsteps] I have a question. Even though you can’t open a door by yourself, why do you act like such a hotshot?

I forgot about this line from the Es VD but it’s honestly so fucking funny. Es woke up and was already a snarky bastard, God I love them.

The point is that Es isn’t just an audience stand-in blank slate, not fully. And I love them for that. Especially when sometimes their views very evidently contradict the fandom’s majority.

Es will be like “oh Shidou you are the type of person I hate the most. Anyways let me hit that Innocent button, how about that, how does that make you feel bitch?” And of course there’s the inherent silliness of things like “sure Muu committed violent and near-remorseless murder, but Fuuta has a Twitter. I think the Guilty one here is obvious.” Why does Es even trust us anymore?

I have a lot of thoughts about the Legal Adult in Puerto Rico According to Themselves and Themselves Only, but I kinda don’t wanna go look at every single VD ever released at the moment. Might make a more detailed analysis… some day. Don’t hold your breath though.

Final note is the eleventh cell thing from their VD.

Es: What about over there? At eleven o’clock. In that room… Is there no prisoner? Its door is even older than the others—rusty. There’s no lock on the outside as well.

While I don’t know what the deal with it being older would be, currently what I’m predicting is that someone could eventually die because of Es’ (our) judgement, presumably after their song releases in Trial 3, and then Es would be considered a murderer by Milgram rules. Thus, they would need a cell, and they end up getting judged themselves. I think it’d be very fun, though obviously I’d prefer no one dies. I’m not sure there’s any way to prevent that, though, even if Shidou goes unharmed this Trial I feel there’s enough conflict that someone will eventually die. I’m getting off track.

Close Friends [Comeau, Young Neil, Wallace]

Comeau - my s/i and Comeau met pretty early on when her and Scott first moved to Toronto! They both bonded over their mutual hobby of knowing everything and anything about people/other people’s drama and are usually inseparable at parties when she decides to go to one!

Young Neil - my s/i and Neil met at one of Scott’s band practices which she goes to on and off whenever she’s bored! He’s often quiet but they both bonded over their love for New Order and occasionally play Nintendo games together!

Wallace - they pretty much know each other because of Scott and talk/gossip a lot to each other all the time. Whenever Wallace figures out something Scott has done or said, her and Stacey are on speed dial! Her 🤝 Wallace 🤝 Comeau -> the gossip trio.

Friends (who so happen to have had complications with her brother) [Envy, Lisa, Knives]

Envy - her and Envy are friends/co workers! Mainly co workers at first since they have a very slow burn friendship working for Gideon.. my s/i usually confides in Envy whenever she’s upset and my s/i recognizes whenever Envy is upset in return (my s/i getting bad vibes from Todd 24/7). Envy grows more fond for her company and shares hand me down clothes for my s/i to wear :]

Lisa - my s/i and Lisa have had minimal interactions but still very much keep in touch after she moved to California! They had a shared love for girly 80’s music and my s/i being the only one who knew she had a crush on Scott before they moved.

Knives - I like to think my s/i and Knives got along very quickly after Scott dumped her because 1) she already felt terrible for her at the start and 2) she figured knives needed some support. They eventually bond even more over a mutual T_T over Ramona (Knives being angry/sad over the Scott situation and eventually my s/i being sad she went back with Gideon (movie canon ofc)). Everything ofc ends up okay and they’re still very good friends :)

Evil Ex Buddies [Matthew, Lucas, Roxie]

Matthew - Being the one who helped Gideon email/contact the members of the league, my s/i somewhat and somehow got along with them quite a bit! Mainly these three! My s/i likes how energetic and theatrical Matthew is and finds his theatrics quite entertaining! She also likes his fashion sense even if others thinks he looks like a pirate 😔

Lucas - For the same reasons as Matthew, my s/i also finds Lucas amusing. Basically makes him quote and quote any line from one of his movies she found funny (he thinks it’s because she loves his work). He also tried to get her to learn to use a skateboard and it instantly failed (she fell on her ass).

Roxie - Roxie is the one (plus Envy too) who helped my s/i come out of her shell the most in regards to standing up for herself both verbally and physically! My s/i also found her style and especially hair cool (eventually cutting it and styling it similar later on!)!

I went down the rabbit hole of your asks about Q and K and dtkq in general and I have thoughts: DTKQ was never real

I have been around in the dream fandom since end 2019 so pre literally all of these friendships (except dteam of course) and from the word go I always got the impression quackity didn’t like Dream not even neutral but just didn’t like him they did one stream together and never again I don’t think he favors Sapnap in anyway either he talks about Sapnap like he’s a fucking caveman and only tolerated them bc of George and some weird fan created fiancés lore that he like kinda keeps to but like doesn’t fuck w outside of the lore streams and even then he said before that dteam+k are “work friends” to him not on the same level as his irl friends. When Q was still activly hanging with people like mizkif after everything he’s said about Dream and I’m pretty sure to this day he still follows kace***on. so that solidified to me that dream and q aren’t and have never been friends bc why would you continue to follow someone actively harassing and doxing someone you claim is a friend Dream has never like off handedly talked about quackity either like I can’t think of a time Dream on his own told a funny story about being with or talking to quackity. And I think Karl god Karl is so sad to me bc I don’t mind him but he like so desperately wants his own trio like the dream team and wants his own duo like dnf so bad it’s so painfully pitiful to watch he’s like “creating” these groups and then he abandons them once he milks them dry or once they never pick up the way dnf and dteam do his closest thing to it was Karlnap but I really think Sapnap has pulled away from that recently he used to play into it a lot but he’s kinda pulled away and idk why they keep trying to resuscitate banter I need it to die like in theory it’s fun and could work but they never do it they give up after 4 episodes the 3 of them don’t have good chemistry together Sapnap and George can bounce off each other but then Karl has to be the center so Sapnap doesn’t bother half the time and George is trying to carry the weight but even he’s not into it the most popular and lively episode of banter had Dream and Dream hard carried that ep 💀 all in all I don’t think dtkq was ever real I don’t think q liked anyone but George and Karl and George doesn’t like not including his best friends Dream and Sapnap and Karl saw it as some like possible group and he himself even said that the only reason why dtkq content ever happened was bc he would force everyone to do something together and 1/2 the time Dream would just leave 1/3 of the way into any stream and most of the time Dream is q and ks punching bag anyway that pisses me off when they did content together and Dream just gets shit on. I think it sucks bc it looks like q and k were really into dtkq for content reasons and dteam wanted friends but I doubt we will see any content from 5/5 ever again (not that much existed to begin with) because quackity has isolated himself with his Spanish audience and even English and he’s all solo q Stan’s who hate everyone else and I think a lot of dteam Stan’s have not changed opinions as far as pos or neg but I think a lot have lost interest or don’t care much for Q and I see it starting w K as well they are gravitating toward sylvee and Hannah and back to Tommy now funnily enough but yeah people wrongfully assumed that 5/5 were close when I don’t think they are the fact that they were in LA for 2 weeks and quackity was there for most of that time and there wasn’t a peep of a meet up lmaoooo and like George spent most of the time doing nothing he had free time and didn’t go see him yeah yeah yeah tells me all I need to know sorry this is long I’ve kept this for far too long 💀

Tyyy for answering that cause for some reason every time I see a picture I’m sent into a passionate rage about the fucking flannel (in other news think I’ve realised I don’t like flannel lmaooooo). I def love the Jos lore you graciously provide us and so a follow up question would be what are jos’s outsiderisms that you mentioned and also randomly how country is he? Like is it more southern ‘girlie’ or is it country country like I’m eating deep fried pickles while riding a horse on a prairie kinda country?? (I’m so British it’s painful 😭😭)

Okay I definitely giggled! Deep fried pickles sounds like something the Dutch should pick up on. I don't think there's a great analogue for the kind of country he is in like, pseudo-American terms because rural in the US and in the NL are very different things because the Netherlands are so densely clustered and there's very little undeveloped/uncultivated land. I do kind of see him in American terms as like. He would live in a small town in a wooded area where hunting is popular, he'd like riding on a quad, steel toe boots are normal wear to school for some kids, etc. His dad would own a bar same as he does irl etc. He had a redneck ass mullet back around 1990 and I swear to god I knew dozens of kids like that back home.

In terms of outsiderisms I've seen a lot of people not even just criticize him on grounds of being an abuser (which is like exceptionally reasonable and encouraged) but like. Kind of straight up leaning into a kind of classism. Jos didn't grow up poor, he was middle class and well off, but he comes from an area that is stereotyped as stupid or uneducated because of a slower/softer/drawly kind of accent compared to accents farther north. I've seen in comment threads people saying since he's from Zuid-Limburg, that's the closest thing you can get to a caravan. Another called him a "tokkie". Dutch for "this guy's trailer trash".

Limburg is also kind of seen as sometimes keeping to itself, or sometimes as effectively being Belgian. For this reason he wasn't ever entirely embraced by the NL as a representative driver even early on (the way Max was) and when he faced failures he mostly was made fun of, especially for his accent. I talk about the quality of his accent a bit more here. I actually find it pleasant! It's funny cause Dutch people poke fun at it, but as an American it probably sounds the least silly to me because the vowels feel more familiar, or at least more relaxed.

Lots of instances of him generally being the butt of jokes because of his failed career (which was largely a product of mismanagement, undertraining and then lost momentum/wasted potential). Dutch people tend to not cut slack but it was kind of continuous.

Also in my less academic more insane voice his masculinity was a bit failed and his posturing was received poorly and subconsciously he was tagged a bit as homosexual LMAO
