Either I’ve completely forgotten to post this here or I can’t find the post but hey Mesmerizer brainrot has come back so I’m showing these guys again with me explaining their designs and story :)) (I may not finish the wip of trying to replicate the og with these guys so I’m putting this here in case I don’t!!)

This is long as fuck lmao but please stick with me I DIDNT PUT THAT AS MY DESCRIPTION OF MY BLOG FOR NOTHING 🔥🔥🔥‼️‼️‼️

While some parts of these designs are just aspects of either of the character’s design (the clothes being relatively the same as Miku and Teto’s just in Riftloss!Emery & Riftloss!Tom’s colour schemes), some parts are intentional little details I’ve decided to put in as to hint at the story behind these two and why I’ve drawn them as the Mesmerizer duo (the stories touch on somewhat similar themes like escapism methinks)

I’ll start with RL!Emery, where I’ve given her a white lily (which symbolizes rebirth) (it also represents purity which I guess you could assign to her but it’s not really relevant in this story) instead of Miku’s visor bow, a forget-me-not on her badge (which represents like remembrance of someone after they’ve passed, or at least that’s how I’ve used it here) and a black ribbon around her neck (kinda a reference to Miku’s choker but it’s moreso that it matches with RL!Tom’s ribbon and that the black ribbon represents remembrance and mourning) + the pink highlights being the same shade as Joshua’s (I’ll explain who he is a) cursed powers.

Meanwhile for Tom, I’ve given him what’s supposed to be a white chrysanthemum on his hat (which represents mourning and devoted love), what’s supposed to be a green ribbon around his collar (as to represent mental health awareness) and a little clock on his badge as to represent his job and how he’s connected to his father (time stealing casino security, I’ll explain it when I get there 😭) (and yes he’s the same guy but in another timeline as the other Tom in my pinned message, it’s that he’s related to the funny clock guy in there as well and in this timeline he intentionally takes more of his features, as he’s trying to break from his shadow)

The plot, independent from Mesmerizer (I’ve had this plot in mind for years now the OC brainrot is THAT deep 😭) starts with me establishing that infinite timelines exist and that time manipulation is possible, albeit extremely tricky and considered impossible in my lore and that powers are a thing cause man I love urban fantasies

In the base timeline, one of the stories in the plot involves Emery and an old friend of hers Josh, in which the two act as a vigilante duo, with Emery taking most of the game as she can actually cast magic and Josh being treated as the alchemist mage-wannabe sidekick, which he doesn’t appreciate as he feels like he’s being taken for granted by her, they both are kinda shitty to each other in the friendship, Josh ends up taking a cursed grimoire as to try to impress her by taking it’s powers and using it for himself, he’s manipulated by it to attack against her and decrease her popularity by starting a cult in the town and constantly beating her in battles under an alter ego, and eventually breaks out of the curse right before dying (?) due to it in front of her, telling her she’s sorry and she says it back. (I tried to speedrun it here 😭)

So, that’s where all the remembrance symbols for her come from.

Mainline!Tom, on the other hand, wants to know what happened to his father, Alexander Pascall, who disappeared years ago, leaving his research on time travel behind. He then has recurring dreams of this insane “time god” who calls himself Kairos, who won’t leave him alone until Tom accepts his offer to give him the power to time travel, which he eventually does accept despite his better judgement.

He gains what seems to be the product of his father’s research next morning - a blade that can cut through the fabric of space time - put in the form of a scythe, and fiddles about with it until he eventually finds out that he’s now been partially possessed by Kairos against his will - thanks to him traumatizing a close friend and colleague of his under Kairos’s influence

And yes, Kairos does turn out to have been Alex having lost his mind, pursuing power haven being driven to madness during his research due to seeing the infinite amount of possibilities out there in the infinite number of timelines, and he sometimes has moments of clarity which eventually let Tom put the pieces together (can you tell what one of my favorite tropes of characters is 😭)

Now that the bare bones of the mainline story has been explained, I’m gonna try explaining the Riftloss!AU for these two and why a specific part of their storyline fits Mesmerizer and why it was stuck in my head as something I had to make for months,,

Also Emery looks mostly the same as her mainline design because up until this point of the AU, the same events occur.

Essentially, the twist here is that instead of a blade sharp enough it can cut the fabric of space-time, Alex instead invents a gauntlet that can absorb a person’s life span and give it to the user instead.

When he was first testing it, he accidentally used it upon a very close friend of his, watching her age rapidly and disintegrate right in front of him, panicking and trying to turn the thing off until it was too late - all that was left of her was ashes.

He then dedicates the rest of his life to trying to find a way to make his gauntlet be able to give others time from his life-span so he can use it upon her ashes that he has within a bottle, becoming more bitter, cruel and inhumane as time goes on and he fails over and over again.

This results in him needing to extend his own lifetime to find the solution, which he reluctantly did at first but eventually normalized, and eventually over time this developed into him starting a casino where he could claim you didn’t need money to gamble in - just your mere time, which you wasted in any other casino anyways! With the prize for winning being extra time for your lifespan, which is why the casino was rigged, yet addicting and enticing enough to get more players within - an easy place to siphon off time he needs to figure out the solution.

Tom, being his son, is a part of the casino’s security, having been conditioned and set up by his father to be obedient to his every command, a cold reaper of those who attempted to mess with how the casino worked.

He didn’t question his situation, having done it all his life until he met the same friend and co worker (Lucy/Astrid) from his mainline story, where these two slowly grow closer as friends like the main timeline and Tom realizes what his father’s done to him and decides he’ll escape his father’s shadow and try to become a better person than him, becoming more spiteful of having to follow his orders over time.

He starts research of his own, and ends up prototyping the same blade that can rip through the fabric of space time Mainline!Alex does with Astrid (thanks to Kairos intervening in his timeline and telling him the basics), testing it and losing Astrid in the process as the time rift opens (haha the name of the AU, she also does have her own separate storyline in a separate timeline) far wider than expected and starts sucking them in, with Tom only being able to close it when it’s too late - paralleling his father’s beginning of spiral into madness. (Also one reason why he also has remembrance symbols)

Having lost leading light out of his father’s control and a really close friend he deeply cared about, he falls into self-loathing and thinks he’s no better than his father, having done to the same thing as him in his eyes (hence why he looks more like him in this timeline - I’m imagining a good devastating mirror art piece outta this one 🔥🔥🔥)

This then leads into him finding out and trying to console Emery after she loses Josh as she’s fallen into grief and depression, (hence the green ribbon, with it being tied differently to how it’s usually tied also able to be interpreted as a reference to how his solution is an attempt but not healthy in the end) being clingy to her and desperate to prove that he’s a good person and have a take 2 of sorts because of the Astrid incident.

However his solution to her depression (the first red background part of the animation) is to take her on a trip through other timelines that he enjoys and show her the wonders of the possibilities there, with the two having a rather pleasant journey through them before coming back, with him doing it every now and then with her at her request.

As time goes on, she becomes more and more reliant on these trips as to keep it together, indulging too far into escapism, blocking out her grief and pretending it isn’t real as she becomes mesmerized (haha) with the endless possibilities within the endless timelines that Tom’s blade on his scythe unlocked - and she starts to lose her mind akin to how Mainline!Alex does. (Akin to Miku)

Kinda like Teto, Tom realizes this far too late, and even after realizing this she asks him to let her keep the blade, to continue going through timelines endlessly, and he still accepts, albeit guiltily. He just didn’t have the heart nor was willing to deal with the consequences, and he never sees her again after this, having been haunted by how he’s ruined another person close to him’s life (he’s NOT doing well in the way of trying to not be like his father 😔)

I’d just replace the hypnosis in the middle thing with a time rift and it works borderline perfectly for their storyline lmao I’ve had this storyline before I found mesmerizer so imagine my brainrot when I realized how these storylines could perfectly overlap and aughhhh I knew I had to try to make an attempted remake of it with them 😭

Awww yeah ITS KAIROS LORE DUMP TIME!!!

Long ago, four friends in their late teens;

Alexander Pascall,

Lloyd Dixon,

Emily Dupain,

And…no. She isn’t relevant to this story, as she’d drifted away from the group long before this all happened, due to her heightened foresight for the utter dumpster fire this group would fall into. Clever girl, she missed quite the bullet there.

Well, these three friends were quite close during their final years of school, having gone through the classic motions of all teenagers their age, romance, drama, studying, stress. etc.

Alex was the good-natured dorky goofball of the lot that took everything he did a little too far,

Lloyd was the ever-curious hardworking nerd, despite his work rarely being acknowledged,

And Emily was the glue sticking everyone together, the warm, caring mom friend who did not hesitate to get her hand dirty when necessary, and settled on compromises a tad bit too early.

This trio were an unstoppable force when together, especially when it came to the academic side of things, as Alex and Lloyd would stop at nothing to get results, and it just so happened that Alex had a little pet project that all three of them were contributing with, one that would take the world by storm if successful.

Alex was always obsessed with the concept of time travel ever since he was a little kid, considering it the solution to all the world’s problems. Well, perhaps that was a tad bit naïve but there was no denying the flexibility and utter potential of cracking that code.

So, he decided to try studying the multiverse theory and quantum mechanics alongside the blending of magic and tech together, as while Alex himself couldn’t do any magic, he could easily snag some material that could tap into its own pool of the stuff or ask a fellow peer for some enchantments. He wasn’t picky, and would do anything to live out his life long dream.

And at this time he’d made some real good progress in his new field, having made some first draft designs for a hypothetical blade that could rip through the fabric of space-time and form these holes inbetween space and time which you could traverse forward, backwards and across through that Alex dubbed “time rifts”.

Years passed by, and Alex, Lloyd and Emily got closer and closer, both in their friendship and in cracking open the secrets to time travel.

However, it wasn’t until their mid 20s when Alex had made a proper breakthrough in his case, much to his delight.

If there is a story you wanna tell, but you don't think you will ever have the time or resources to organize and tell it ""properly"" as like...a novel or a comic or whatever, it can absolutely just be...a bunch of brain storm-y blog posts and sketches that you share and compile over time on your blog. That is still a story. It is still a format. In theory, it might not be the "best, most effective" format...but in practise, the best, most effective format is the one that is accessible enough to let you get your ideas and narratives out at all♡

And, yanno--it is just nice to be able to give folks some context for your characters n stuff :3c

OG Skelesonas: Revamp (Info Dump)

Hydrangea - Skelesona

Personality: She's a lovely, compassionate lady. She is a gorgeous and compassionate lady who enjoys music, writing, and sketching. She has a decent temper, but if you push her too far, she will express how frustrated she is. She is really bashful and works hard at her flower shop. When people flirt with her, she blushes rather easily. She feels shy and hides behind whatever she can find. She enjoys caring for others and assisting her buddies. She wishes there were more stories including weirdness, mystery, and romance. She is fearless and strong.

Appearance: She is about 5'1". She has purple eyelight. Her canines are sharper than the rest of her mouth. She’s chubby and soft. She has glasses. She has a tail that reaches her calves. She has vines with hydrangeas growing on them on her tail. She has vines growing on her ribs that occasionally blossom hydrangeas. When she's stressed, flowers grow on her hands and neck.

She has optional purple ecto hair.

Hydra - Horrortale Skelesona

Personality: She is a wonderful and tranquil person. She is particularly fond of animals, and they naturally love her. She is concerned about everyone and ensures that they are well-fed and cared for. She is straightforward and courageous. She tries to remain calm while looking after her companions. She's shy and quiet. She has a pleasant temper, but if you push her too hard, she'll let you know. She also writes horror stories, something nobody expects her to do. She appreciates music, art, and food, and will go to great lengths to make those she cares about happy.

Appearance: She has dark purple eyelights. She’s 5'8" and growing. Her canines are sharper than the rest of her mouth. She has scars all over her bones. She has glasses. She has a large scar on her eye that extends into small separate cracks on her skull. Her tail reaches past her ankles. She has wilted vines and flowers growing on her tail and ribs. When she is stressed, flowers grow, but quickly wilt on her hands and neck. (Once on the surface, the flowers on her start to become vibrant again.)

She has a somewhat long dull purple ecto hair.

Halesia - Underfell Skelesona

Personality: She's a fearless and powerful woman. She goes for the throat and has a rough and ruthless appearance but a loving and sweet disposition. She's straightforward and direct. She lacks self-control and will fight someone. She emanates confidence and strength. She will go to tremendous lengths to defend the people she loves. She is remarkably compassionate, but she can also provide tough advice. She is also quite strict and severe. Her sense of self-preservation is remarkable. She is wary of persons whom she believes are dangerous. She is able and willing to combat anyone she dislikes.

Appearance: She has reddish-purple eyelids. She’s 5'4" and growing. Her canines are sharper than the rest of her mouth. She has scars all over her bones. She has a small scar on her cheek. She doesn’t need glasses in comparison to her counterparts. Her tail is to her knees. She has flowers and vines growing on her ribs, tail, and her neck. When stressed, her flowers and vines grow thorns and more flowers grow.

She has long reddish-purple ecto hair.

Jamesia - Underswap Skelesona

Personality: She is an extremely quiet and nice lady. She enjoys sewing, knitting, and making stuff. She never gives up and is not hesitant to put someone in their place with words. She is brave and astute, but also kind and patient. She is a social butterfly who runs a modest store. She possesses great power. She is not afraid to express it. She has a tendency to fight anyone who offended her. She's a seamstress who loves her work and she writes sometimes. She is also a flirty person who has been on numerous dates and in relationships. She is also well-dressed and has a sense of fashion.

Appearance: She’s a skeleton monster. She has purple eyes and purple magic. She is 5'1". Her ecto is purple. She has a tail that's about to her calves. She has flowers and vines growing on her ribs and tail. When she's stressed, flowers grow rapidly on her neck.

She has long light purple ecto hair.

Jovellana - Swapfell Amethyst Skelesona

Personality: She is a cold, aloof person. She keeps to herself and rarely discusses many topics. She has been spotted frequently loosing her temper and never being scared to fight someone. She avoids talking about her family and helps others whenever feasible. She distrusts everyone she regards as a threat. She never enables anyone to approach her unless they make a concerted attempt to become her friend. She is lighthearted and close to Jamesia, whom she confides in with her life. She is very distant and seems to be a painting social media star.

Appearance: She is a skeleton monster! She is roughly 5'1". She has purple-ish red eyes. She has sharper teeth than most skeleton monsters. She has a scar on her left cheek. She has flowers growing on her ribs, arms, and tail. Her tail is to her ankle.

She has long purple-ish red ecto hair.

Hyacinth - Dancetale Skelesona

Personality: In many aspects, Hyacinth is similar to Hydrangea. She is, nonetheless, more confident and less dense. She is both sweet and cocky. She adores dancing and smiling. She is quite sweet and thoughtful. She has a pleasant temper, but if you push her too far, she will give you the cold shoulder and the quiet treatment. She enjoys horror movies and games, something no one expects from her. She prefers singing and dancing. She takes an active role in the performances. She also sings. She wishes there were more stories about strangeness, mystery, and romance.

Appearance: She has purple eyelights. She’s 5'1" and will bite you if you tease her. Her canines are sharper than the rest of her mouth. She has glasses (but doesn't need them.) She has flowers growing on her tail and ribs.

She has long ecto purple hair.

Hedera - Mafiatale Skelesona

Personality: She is a highly focused and nice person. She works hard and appears to be harmless, but she is not. She's imaginative and artistic. She's really sensitive and empathetic. She tries hard to maintain a healthy balance within her mafia. She is idealistic and seeks deep, soulful partnerships. She is highly aware of her own thoughts and emotions, but she also wants to understand those around her. She is highly sympathetic and ready to hear other people's stories. When someone opens up to her or seeks her consolation, she considers it an honor to listen and help.

Appearance: She has light purple eyelights. She hasn’t a single crack on her. She’s 5'1". 5'3" in heels as she wears them consistently. She doesn't wear glasses. She has flowers growing on her legs, tail, and ribs.

Harley - Angels Fall! Angel Skelesona

Personality: Harley is a nice, considerate young lady. She strives to be courteous and patient. She can also be strict and overprotective towards others. She has a decent temper, but if pushed too hard, she will withdraw. Nobody expects her to appreciate horror movies or video games. She generally listens intently and rarely says back, however, she may if necessary. She has a great level of empathy, and people tend to seek her out when they need someone to care about them. She is brilliant and astute. She wishes there were more enchantment, mystery, and romance stories.

Appearance: She is 5'1" and is a skeleton monster. She has purple magic and purple eyes. She also has two pairs of wings, but no one has seen them. She wears glasses. She has flowers growing on her ribs, wings, and her tail.

She has light purple ecto hair.

Heya! I've been getting into Steven Universe lately so I created my own OC, which I named based of a Ametrine Stone! Their main weapon are two daggers, and she had the ability to move objects with her mind (Telekinesis). I'm still working on her backstory, but what I have so far is that they really never fit in with home world. So naturally they were an outcast, causeing her to have to move plant to plant to stay away from the Gems from home world. Which were after their due to abilitys, odd nature, and Gem. One day they were in a small ship that they had created, looking for a new plant to hide on. That was untell out of nowhere a home world ship (One like the one the Ruby's used to and the Crystal Gems thought they were going after Peradot in during season 3 episode 9). Causeing them to crash land on Earth and coincidentally right next to the light house in Beach city. Which is right next to the Crystal Gems temple. Which this alerts the Crystal Gems and as usual they go and check out the scene. Which by now Ametrine had already pulled themselves out of the ship and was taking a moment to breath after the incident. Yet that breath was short lasted once the Crystal Gems arrived and when they saw her that quickly took her as an enemy while Ametrine did the same. Causieng them to jump up and hold out her Weapons (Daggers) in a fighting stance, prepared for anything. Thinking that the Crystal Gems were their enemy's. So they fought, and even with her strength the Crystal Gems were easily able to overpower them. Though they chose not to shatter them and instead they only caused Ametrine to Poof! (Idk what it's called I just remember that's what Steven calls it). Once they had Ametrine contained they took then back to the temple to "interrogate" them which it wasn't much of an investigation. They put them in the only secure place they could think of untell Ametrine would finally reform. Which they chose Amethysts messy room. Once Ametrine did reform they were quickly on their case asking her things like "Who are you?" Or things like "Are you with home world?". Which once these questions were asked it quickly showed that it was one big missunderstanding. So Ametrine quickly explained the situation and how they were not with home world. Which caused the Crystal Gems to lower their guard. They chose to let Ametrine go, but also wanted to keep an eye on them for the timebeing to make sure they hadn't lied. ALLRIGHTY!! That's all I really have for the Lore and backstory of the Character so far. Now as for their personally they are a pretty chill person, but is extremely petty at times. As well as a stubborn person, making it difficult to get through to them when they are dead set on something. Yet once they make a good friendship with someone they easily go soft and lower there guard, making them more bubbly around ones they love. Otherwise if they don't trust someone they tend to act cold and suspicious towards the person (or gem). Ok! That's just a short summary of what kinda person they are, but now for relationships with the different characters. They have a good relationship with Steven but they tend to get confused and often worried about the trouble that Steven can get himself into. Which leads them to have a little bit of caution when talking with Amethyst, because of how much trouble she influences Steven to get into. Making them not have the best relationship. The relationship with Pearl and garnet is pretty neutral, they respect them and also look uo to pearl in the slightest. Liking how she like to take control and keep thing neat and tidy. Ametrine has an allright relationship with Lapis, but they tend to butt heads and get into a lot of disagreements. (Mostly small petty things). The person that Ametrine had bonded with the most was Peradot! They grew to have a good relationship and they spend alot of time together!...If you read this far thank you for listening to my info dump on my OC Ametrine! So, I have a Minecraft Diaries OC I've brought up in a few posts previously. Their name is Caspian, a witch-magi, apprentice of Hyria and (sort of) protector/guide of Vylad for a while.

So here's an info-dump on them.

Caspian is a lanky fella, roughly six (5'11") feet tall, with a masculine body, but a soft, feminine face. They're pale, pale as moonlight, with silverish eyes and coiled white hair to their shoulders. In Daybreak, they wear very light clothing, a sleeveless white vest/halter top and loose black pants, with golden cuffs around their wrists and two amethyst earrings on their right ear. And glasses, as their vision is absolute ass.

They were born in the 500's to a poor family, one with distant magi genes that had been diluted by human partners over generations. Caspian was the first witch born into the family in seven generations, and not knowing how to handle them, their family discarded them to the Sacred Forest. Being only a child, they were spared, found by merchants and taken in by an orphanage in the nearest town.

They grew up alone for a long time, teaching themself to use their innate Magicks for fun and entertainment. They were never shown to any potential adoptive parents, being told time and time again that "no one wants a witch", until one day, someone did.

An elderly woman wearing the holy garbs of The Matron, asking to speak with the children of the orphanage. When Caspian was left out of the group, she re-iterated all of them. This was when they met Hyria. A mage living deep within the Sacred Forest, far from the Golden Roads.

They were terrified of this crooked old woman, believing fully that she was going to kill or eat them, begging not to be sent with her when Hyria chose them. They learned very quickly that Hyria was not, in fact, going to eat them, and instead, they were raised as her apprentice.

Cas took care of housework and gardening, and Hyria taught them far more advanced Magick than what any witch academy would have. She taught them one particular skill they used daily- physical illusions- making themself appear far younger or far older than they actually were.

They eventually helped take care of Irene when she came to Sun's Heart to live the few years she had left with her old friend Hyria, and from Irene, Caspian learned restoration Magick- the advanced healing Magick that Irene's Relics gave her access to. (This is how Hyria restored Vylad's humanity as a fully awakened Shadow Knight)

Caspian was made immortal by Hyria using the remnants of Divine Magick that still lingered in Sun's Heart when they were thirty, forever keeping them that age. With their Magick, they appear outwardly as a small child to Vylad while she's wandering the forest alone, partially restoring the mind, enough to defy the instinctual selfishness of Shadow Knights, before guiding Vy to protect merchants, messengers and travelling bands from bandits and dangers on the Golden Roads for a few years before Hyria finally gives the okay to bring them to Phoenix Drop.

Caspian later shows up to help guide Avi to Hyria's home, then out of the Sacred Forest again, though this time they appear in their 'true form', as an adult. They go behind Hyria's back to give Avira the second Relic of Peace, and winds up being ousted by Hyria for 'betraying her' even though it needed to happen to keep the prophecy on track.

They become a resident of the Phoenix Capital and become a regular performer at the tavern, and part-time nurse.

Yeah, there's my boy-girl.

Extra: -Their birth name was Cassandra, but they changed it to Caspian something like seventy years after becoming immortal -They're a hermaphrodite, assigned female at birth, but filled out to look more masculine below the neck as they grew up, they sound more masculine -Irene taught them the faeries' language, allowing them to understand plants to an extent, though they never became fluent -They actually lowkey hate The Matron, how wide-spread and all-important she became as a religious figure, she was just their goofy great-aunt, a human like so many others, not some all-powerful, serious Goddess like everyone says --they aren't religious because of this, much to Zane's chagrin when they meet (they do meet, my emo lad gets a redemption(eventually)), Caspian just refuses to buy in to the idea that his great-aunt was this all-powerful, amazing and righteous force of good. She was a sneaky little gremlin of an old woman they more often than not had to bribe to stop stealing their equipment and supplies

Caspian was also a chaos gremlin- both Cas and Irene were thorns in Hyria's side for a good few years before Irene kicked it and Cas started adventuring away from Sun's Heart.

Lore:

Tahir was sent on earth to spy on the rebels when homeworld first heard of it and wanted to see how much of a threat they actually were. (They sent a pearl because you can always get a new one on homeworld) Tahir saw the kindness rose gave to the 4 (pearl, garnet, amethysts and bismuth) and decided she wanted to be treated that way also because her owner was rough and rather rude. So tahir became part of the original rebels until fast forward to rose faking her own shattering (this mainly why I put the spoiler tag) where tahir connected the dots on who rose actually was. Things like her reputation as a kind healer and the fact she bubbled bismuth for shattering (tahir witnessed that so she was already on edge) didn't make sense and the fact whenever rose was down with them there was nothing from pink diamond (just stuff like that). However in fear of what rose could do to her because she was a diamond, tahir left without another word instead of taking about it with the others. But of course she couldn't go back to homeworld with her being a rebel so instead she started living amongst humans, becoming a pilot (hense the outfit).

Context to the other 2 images:

Those 2 images are stevens first encounter with Tahir. How it would have gone is steven would her curious about the kindergartens back when nobody was telling him anything, so he went by himself when the trio were out on a Misson. That's when he found Tahir breaking down old homeworld machines for parts. Tahir saw stevens very exposed rose quartz gem and was immediately furious. So they fight for a while and cue those two images.

Tahir would not be a lingering threat, after them two images she would've been scared off by garnet and wouldn't really attack. Instead she would probe and question steven about roses actions until she finally believed that he wasn't her. After this point she just strays away from him, avoiding him and the trio until pearl gets to talk to her and they eventually make up. Pearl and tahir make an agreement to be quite about the rose being pink diamond to steven and tahir just becomes part of the main cast.

In future:

In steven universe future we would see tahir playing poker with humans including Greg but instead of chips its just junk from their garages, just living amongst humans as she typically did. Steven would end up going to tahir during his meltdowns after a while of jasper being to hard on him and she'd try and train him abit, but steven breaks a wall in her house and runs off to then train go back to jasper and cue the rest of the stuff thats actually canon

Yes I have thought most stuff out tho few things may contradict some lore, it's almost 6am so I ain't really thinking about everything rn so I apologise if this is poorly written or if some things contradict any lore

She struggles to eat sugary things due to sensory issues and how they affect her (hates the crash after a sugar rush). Spice, on the other hand, big yes.

SU AU lore dump

This is part 2 of me and @lewissilvertree's GIANT Steven Universe dump. The lore edition! Most of the writing was done by Lewis but this is pretty much a timeline from when we first made this AU to now :> Enjoy!

So my OC's name is Vic, she's an Orange Jasper that was a bit overbaked when she came out, kind of like Amethyst. Bob in this AU is Vic's brother, and they fight. ALL THE TIME. I have countless headcannons and rp's to prove it! Anywho, Vic is PAINFULLY insecure about her height and the way she came out. Since she wasn't the most practical at battle, Bob taught her how to fight, and she also turned to books and education, so she's more brains than brawn. She's actually more similar to a Peridot! During the gem war, Vic nearly got cracked and was taken to some sort of fountain to be healed. After that, Bob became a lot more protective over his little sister. She ended up getting limb enhancers and was assigned to look over a planet so YD could colonize it. When Bob learned of this, however, he wanted to stow away on Vic's roaming eye because he didn't want her to go by herself. So he did. YD kinda just didn't care...and that's when they meet Lewis's OC, Eclipse! When Eclipse first emerged, he radiated insane power. The diamonds feared this power and banished Eclipse to a very far planet and it was eventually forgotten about. Until Vic and Bob came along. They were tasked to study the planet and stumbled upon Eclipse. In the AU, Eclipse is a legend, a myth spread about, saying that Eclipse was a threat to the diamonds because he was more powerful than them. Of course Eclipse had no idea since he was long banished when the story was created. When Eclipse met Vic and Bob he was happy since he hasn’t seen a gem in thousands of years on the lonely planet. He followed them around and liked to talk to them. Until one day he heard about yellow diamond and how she feared Eclipse. He wanted to talk to YD and explain that he’s friendly and means no harm! Eventually Bob and Vic gets called by YD and Eclipse was told to stay out of camera range so YD won’t see him. Unfortunately he is spotted and YD commands Bob and Vic to poof Eclipse and take him to Homeworld for "experimentation". (But really, YD wanted to shatter him) Vic poofs Eclipse, feeling terrible about it. They take Eclipses gem and went back to homeworld. They’d go to the lab and drop Eclipse off, but he started to break out of the bubble that Vic bubbled him in. Bob and Vic panic and get called into YD's palace. She wanted to see Eclipses gem for herself Bob and Vic didn’t want to but then Eclipse finally breaks out of the bubble in a giant poof of steam. YD is shocked by this as Eclipse processes what and where he is. He's happy to see YD and goes to try and talk to her but she's is fearful and the two start to argue. Eventually, Bob and Vic decided they needed to fuse to save Eclipse. Vic says something to YD and she instantly poofs Vic as a result which terrifies Bob and triggers Eclipse and poofs YD. Everyone being terrified they go and attack the group. Bob held Vic’s gem and fled with Eclipse. They triedto work a pod to escape but didnt know how because that's Vic's specialty. Luckily she reforms in time to work the ship and they escape. They try to de-stress in the ship as it traveled. Vic has the idea to join the Crystal Gems on Earth once everything has died down (Bob isn't very fond of that idea but comes along) before they crash land onto the beach in Beach City knocking them all out. Bob and Vic see that Eclipse ripped off the ships door, and found him just laying there unconscious in the sand. The siblings meet the Crystal Gems and Eclipse wakes up. Bob went inside to try and fix the ship but he kinda doesn’t know how to fix it. So Vic goes in and sees what dumb things he did and goes to repair the ship. But she can’t, it’s too wrecked. Fast forward to Future era, everyone has a new look and Eclipse and Bob are boyfriends. The gang is supposed to meet Garnet at Fish Stew Pizza, but because Bob led the way, they're lost. Then a lapis named Astrid comes along and asks if they need help. Some part in Vic instantly took a liking to Astrid, but Bob? The exact opposite. The reason? Because Vic might be growing up and he can't handle it. (1/2)

that's THE question i hoped someone would ask!!

So. I've never developped earth's parents much beyond that they didn't give him a lot of attention. The original context he was in was a rp forum that was about equestria 1000 years before the series, so basically more medieval-like life conditions and species-segregated kingdomes (unicorns with unicorns, earth ponies with earth ponies, etc)

Earth being an earth pony (I didn't speak a lot of english back then... thought the name was cool...), he's statistically pretty likely to be born to a couple of random farmers who don't have a lot of money or free-time to work with. he's their only child, and given that, he had to make his own entertainement a lot. he's kind of a fragile constitution even though he's pretty tall, so he never really WORKED in the fields and was just wandering around in and out the house all day making mud potions and shit with very little friends to speak of, and listening to his parents talk over dinner. he's not versed into life on the outside, and his parents aren't very good at dealing with a kid that's bored with life already, so they just sit in silent miscommunication most of the time. he thinks they're depressing to be around, they think there's something wrong with that boy but fuck if they know what.

i'm really stopping myself from developping the WHOLE backstory here, but in short even though he CAN work as an apothecary and make a living for himself (cutie mark, all that) he spends his late teens being down in the dumps and not really doing much more than helping with menial tasks on the farm so the parents have a good talk one day and decide that boy needs a direction in life and they handpick (hoofpick?) a young lady to marry him.

which is where we get into the REAL meat of the question, his wife. Amethyst. (Amethyst Voyager of her full name, don't judge, bad english at the time) (btw Earth's full name is Earth Science, I don't think I mentionned it, also bad, I know, I'm just used to it)

She is. Oh boy, she is SPIRITED. She works kinda as a seamstress, kinda as whatever she can do at the moment, but her real talent and passion in life is TRANSPORTATION, her cutie mark is a big wooden cart wheel. she could do a couple dozen of kilometers for breakfast every day if you let her. She's very... point A to point B in her thinking, and even though after their arranged marriage it does take Earth somewhere (having his workshop, selling potions and making a living), they don't really get along on a personal level. They're a well-oiled machine together who maintain a theoretical successful life that's perfectly acceptable to everyone around them and they're fully aware of it, but there's no spark at all. The awkwardness of their first meeting practically already at the altar never fully went away, and since Earth isn't keen on starting the discussion and Amethyst is resigned to the mostly unhappy state of her marriage as long as she find solace in other aspects of her life (and she does, girl has friends, hobbies, does a billion things, Earth is still just as inept as before), cause it provides her with a safety net, a husband who is also a breadwinner, a house, in-laws, normal stuff.

Earth doesn't have that kind of outlet or the same place in the local community Amethyst has, so as his... it's lowkey depression tbh, so as his depression steadily worsens he resents Amethyst more and more. The whole thing culminates in a storyline where he flips his shit one day and runs the fuck away from everything he's ever known cause he can't stand living with her anymore. I never got to act this one out unfortunately, but I thought it over a thousand times in my head.

So yeah, turns out he was gay the whole time, and that didn't help him feel inclined to fix the incredibly unhealthy bases they started their relationship on. He does probably get a boyfriend later on in the timeline, after he got hired as a mercenary and got a taste for life now that he has the goal of running away and seeing the world a little.

I don't know if I'd include her in any kind of "canon" timeline but for fun me and a friend designed them a daughter, whose name I forgot if she ever had one. she was mom's little princess as a kid which is why she turned into amethyst's mini-me and went on to become an adventurer (kinda Daring Do style if you've seen those episodes). Earth mostly felt very guilty about not taking care of her well enough, which to be fair he didn't, his wife did most of the work, but even if it wasn't all very kind or constructive he did interact with her a lot as a kid (sent her away from his precious calm workship a lot), and partly on purpose, partly on accident, he prevented her from becoming as jaded as him.

ANYWAY on to the other questions oh my god i'm sorry

☀️ SUN - are they a morning person? what is the first thing they do in the morning?

In the "status quo" of his life (unhappily married, no breakdown yet), he's the "i hate everything" kind of person, but he's really not making an effort (well, bc of depression, but yknow. he's not helping himself, that's the point. so he probably drags himself to his workshop and starts making potions, no breakfast, cause that's what makes him ✨happy✨ (it doesn't, he loses himself into a task-task-task routine to not feel the daily dissatisfaction wearing on him), but he's still a morning person in the sense that he rises early (back to the grind yknow)

later on, once he's run away and actually living out his life, i would imagine he becomes less and less of a morning person by choice, sleeping in whenever he can. not a lot of time for that every day though, so i think he still wouldn't like them, too many bad memories in his old habits, even though in comparison to his happiness at the time, the worst asscrack of down in his new life still isn't anywhere near as bad as the average day back then.

⏳ HOURGLASS - are they usually late or on-time?

Usually late, looking like he just wandered in cause he saw the light from the outside. He's a grumpy dude and he figures five minutes won't change a lot. It helps that most of his clients come to his workshop or his display at the market instead of him coming to them like a doctor would, so he doesn't HAVE to be on time.

☄️ COMET - what do people assume about them? are they right?

People assume he's smart and kind of an asshole (resting bitch face syndrome, my man hasn't looked approachable since they cut the umbilical cord). They're not totally wrong. He's not smart smart, education in his time period is pretty sparce, and he's not the quickest mind out there, but he's not stupid either and he has good logical thinking if prompted and motivated. (I had a hella fun mystery-solving rp back when the forum was up and running, it was a delight to put Earth in that situation.)

Amethyst rubbed off on him, and even though he still wasn't happy he started filling out a little the blank slate of a personnality he had as a child at her contact. He picked up her sense of humor, except that where she's charismatic and knows how to defuse tension, he's ranging anywhere from unbreakable deadpan to abrasive in delivery, so he comes off as an asshole, not just for jokes. When his mental state is not the best, he's content with it, subconsciously because yadda yadda yadda proving himself right about being unlovable, yadda yadda yadda self-destructive isolation, yadda yadda yadda making everyone just as miserable as he is. When he's doing better, he's mostly annoyed that they react badly to him, but doesn't feel the need to change or even really see what exactly he's doing wrong.

📎 PAPERCLIP - a random fact.

He has feathering on his fetlocks! His appearance isn't inspired by a draft breed like Troubleshoe Clyde for example, but he is a little taller than average and a bit furrier too. It was the one design element that was a little bit original in my first iteration of him and I stand by it!

❇️ SPARKLE - what is their most prized possession? what do they value?

This one's a tough one, I don't think I've ever thought about it. I think in the "status quo" he would mostly value the house itself. That's where he has his workshop, where he could get away from his parents, where he could start a new life, and even if that didn't really happen as happily it's still kind of a safe haven for him because his life with Amethyst is still functional, as in "it is moving forwards" in purely practical terms, not a living hell by any means.

Once the repetition wears on him and he has his big breakdown, I think he would come prize the most whichever weapon or armor is the most useful at the moment until the dust settles down a little and he starts having actual relationships and even, dare I say, friendships with people. Upon which he can start building a life in the direction he truly wants to, which is a part of the story I've never gotten to lmao.

In the status quo, he values his own personal comfort above all. He's not doing so well mentally and he needs a lot of space (horse therapists haven't been invented yet unfortunately). He does push it to blind extremes though, especially in the timeline where the daughter exists.

Later on, I think he'd come to value work well-done and service. He'd still be recovering from his lifelong jaded mindset, so the task-task-task routine would be something he falls back into a lot (and improves upon too!). He likes checking things off his to-do list pretty much. That would be something he values a lot in other people as well, being used to Amethyst's go-getter nature, so he'd probably be a little... condescending to less "driven" people sometimes, even if it's not on purpose. There's a not very long but very formative part of his life where he'd live for his job as a mercenary, and that's kind of a hard mindset to break out of, especially since at that time he wouldn't have a lot of things outside of it to invest time and thought in as well.

In short, he's pretty self-centered and he struggles with introspection and seeing things through other people's eyes, but once he comes out of his shell he genuinely values someone who acts. In another life, he would've gotten along very well with Amethyst, but in this one she was a necessary evil (to him) that shaped him in so many ways, but mostly made him like being around people like her.
