So I think my first question is - yesterday we saw the world premiere, with a very large audience, at the Palm Springs Film Festival. How was that for you? (x)

It was incredibly overwhelming, actually. I was so surprised at peoples joy at our being there and their own joy at being there! And the enthusiasm of the audience, it was like… I imagine it was like going to the cinema in the olden days, when people were very vocal, it's like being at a live theater show, actually. And yeah… Nathan was crying…

Awwww! Mary was crying.

I was. Just a little.

I was almost crying in the very beginning and then I got it together. [laughs] But it was a pretty incredible experience, actually.

So the reaction really surprised you?

Completely! I was so thrilled… that people laughed. [lowers voice]‘Cause I was a bit worried it wasn’t funny. But then they laughed a lot!

The fursuit, or “Valentine” is just for luring children. Supposed to look friendly and cute so kids will trust them and all that jazz

The other one is purely a disguise. not meant to look friendly, as that’s not the goal. It’s just for kidnapping and killing people, mostly adults. Sometimes random, sometimes not.

She has multiple weapons on her person, in her many pockets. I gave them an axe here, but I also like the idea of them using a baseball bat :)

today was such a freaking good day my D&D camp’s heroes climbed a mountain to fight a dragon and then in the afternoon we rock-climbed and i belayed for them and it was SO MUCH FUN. they figured out the puzzles and i made them JUST hard enough and their teamwork was amazing, their characters were doing combo attacks so it was all ‘NO GUYS LISTEN LISTEN. what if i use my electricity ring and you use your lunar sword-‘

Need to be awake in five hours but I can’t sleep.

Anyways, I can’t stop thinking about how kids will have you speaking a new language that is somehow still English but with added made up words. Motherhood has you calling them the most random nicknames out of endearment and they just eat it up. Who knows what a splinkly splonkly is but my five year old will tell you that yes of course she is indeed my splinkly splonkly and in fact she is the splinkiest splonkiest girl up in this B. However, sometimes she is just splink because my son is splonk, it is what it is.
