judebellingham I've taken some time to reflect on the events of the final day and the entire season. I still can't believe it went the way it did and we couldn't get ourselves over the line. The boys that played gave everything and their efforts cannot be questioned, unfortunately we weren't decisive enough in the fine margin moments that occur in high pressure games.

Personally, it was devastating to have to watch my teammates suffer while I couldn't impact the outcome. I have never experienced an atmosphere like the one on Saturday created by you fans, I had goosebumps for the whole 90 minutes whilst only watching from the bench. Many times this season you have been the difference maker for us and in the end we've let you down by not being able to deliver the championship whilst it was in our hands.

Hopefully this adversity will trigger a new era for the club where it can compete closely for trophies every year. This is what the city and its fans deserve.

hi i hope this isn't weird askdjfksdksl, you seem to be much more active on twitter but i REFUSE to make an account on that website BUT a mutual of mine just said something to me about the idea of an au where the rattlers run like. an apocalypse gladiator ring instead and ellie eventually gets caught and stuck there with abby and this is just actually insane we can't believe no one else seems to have had this idea yet??????? my first thought was tell the only ellabs person i know of who is in any way active on social media idk you can tell twitter about this or whatever i just think you need to know. i think ellabs nation (ellabs village really lol) needs to consider the possibilities

1) come to twitter i promise it’s like not that bad i just get into fights a lot 😭

2) i have a new tumblr but it’s under a pseudonym because i’m literally writing x readers and i know people will clown me and think i’m doing it in the “y/n” way (nothing wrong with that) and not the “x readers are a great way to character study without making whole ocs and you’re able to share them with a large audience” way

3) honestly , i really hate fics that have like . anything to do with the rattlers . because they’re just , like , EXTREMELY miserable (hypocritical coming from me , i know) and i deserve a speck of dopamine every now and then . but i will spread the idea ! because tbh it’s pretty good and not done before . just not my thing

4) i’m going to take this as an opportunity to explain why the fuck tl2 isn’t out yet , but it’s going to be a very longwinded self-psychoanalytical bananza , sooo . .

so , tl2 isn’t going to be a multichapter , if it ever gets put out . it’s gonna be a really long oneshot , because if i post it , i want it to be FINISHED so i don’t leave anyone waiting again .

the reason why i have a mental block against writing it right now is because i’m really unhappy about where tl1 left off . i never really liked it honestly , i just felt a bit pressured to get it out asap so i could be done . i reread the first few chapters all the time , and i really consider that its peak , because it started to feel like a chore after chapter six .

it’s hard to write the sequel to something you don’t like . it feels like you can only disappoint (if not others , yourself) and expand on its horribleness , which sounds so melancholy , i know , lol , but it’s the truth . like , how do you fix what’s broken on something you can’t touch ? by adding more that’s broken ? nuh uh . it’s a lot of stress .

also , i just . . need a creative recharge . “spencer , it’s been like five months since you finished tl !!” no i mean like . a year . before i even poke it with a ten foor pole again . LOL it’s that bad . this might change , but that’s how i feel right now .

i’ve been really insecure about my work lately , and i’ve never been able to read original novels or other fics without feeling incredibly envious of others’ talent , and it has sowed a lot of discontent inside of me . so i stopped consuming others’ work for a bit , but that just left me uninspired and in an echo chamber of my own writing without any improvement , so it became hyper-stylized and odd to read , especially months later . i don’t even know what i was trying to accomplish at some points ?? it’s all very odd and tryhard and makes me cringe .

so , right now , my goal is to read more published work lol . i’m reading my childhood favorite “daughter of smoke and bone” right now , and it’s even better than i remember . highly recommend

i have quite a few gifsets of yours i really like, but my absolute favourite is this steve rogers one, the no bitches megamind image genuinely makes me laugh every time i come across it, there's messages on discord way back where i linked it to some people bc i really loved it <3

i really like this more comic book inspired avengers one that's framed like a collage, i think it's a really creative idea and the overlapping related images with the faded colours of the gifs themselves to make them look paperish and scanned really invokes the taped together collage vibe. it's a really solid idea!

this elmo one has been living in my head ever since i saw it, it's such a high level shitpost and i was actually so surprised when i saw it only had like 170 notes?? the colours and inverted whites are genuinely terrifying and the kind of like, late night horror documentary vibe is captured really well by the graininess of the footage and the flickering specks. its really creative and i'll be honest is the thing that has made me most likely to go watch american psycho because it's such an odd idea. i would love to study you for this.

fight club is a great movie and i think this gifset showcasing the more overt homoeroticism tinged with the violence inherent is really well done, and the final one at the end with the aubergine still takes me off guard, it's really funny. it feels very invocative of the many film essays written about the theming of fight club which makes it very interesting to think about, and of course the sharpness and colours are stand-out too :)

finally, this goncharov gifset is amazing and one of the best things to come out of that whole meme, i think. the colouring and editing and splicing does such a great job making it look like an actual movie, i genuinely believe you could reverse engineer a movie out of this! despite being from different films, they all go together extremely cohesively and the idea and layout itself is so cool! the first with the overlaid red kremlin! it's such a cool idea and definitely one of my favourite goncharov inspired creations of all time :)

I CANNOT BELIEVE MAEKOR TOOK A PAGE OUT OF HARWIN STRONGS PLAYBOOK AND FATHERED A CHILD WITH A MARRIED WOMAN, YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY, LIKE FATHER LIKE SON 🤣🤣🤣

BUT OH MY GOD THIS CHAPTER WAS EPIC!!!

Now Maekor x Helaena wasn't a ship I was expecting but it's a pleasant surprise. Helaena deserves to be with someone who loves her and omg she named their child Maelor in honor of his father which is even cuter and AHHH I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE MORE OF THAT HAPPY FAMILY!

The scenes where Harwin kept grabbing onto his son bc of who he's meant to face in battle alone (which wtf you mean to tell me Rhaenyra didn't send anyone else to come and help?? Harwin even sent them a raven and nothing?!?!? OOOOO RHAENYRA IS IN DEEP SHIT NOW)

Now lets talk about the epic of entrances that has been entered in fanfiction...

OUR BADASS QUEEN WHO SHOULD'VE BEEN COMING IN HOT AND READY FOR BATTLE ON HER FRESHLY HEALED DRAGON GOING AFTER VHAGAR WHO WAS GOING AFTER ONE OF HER DRAGONLINGS

OH MY GOD THE BATTLE SCENE WAS FREAKING AWESOME, I MEAN RIP TO QUEEN VHAGAR BUT YOU WAS GOING AFTER MAEKOR AND HIS DRAGON AND THAT WAS A BIG NO NO

And then my second favorite part of this chapter was Helaena coming down to where they had congregated on Dreamfyre all confident and shit... I might start tearing up again 🤧 telling Aemond no more fighting and Aemond looking relieved that she was alive and that Aemma was alive made me want to give him a hug (after I slap the shit out of him for almost taking Reader out to begin with)

My last but not the least in the slightest part of this chapter definitely had to be the collective fuck 'em to both Rhaenyra & the Hightowers. The way they all decided to stop fighting for Kings and Queens they don't believe in anymore collectively as a whole family 😭😭😭😭 ITS SO BEAUTIFUL! Not to defend Julie Plec (perish the though ugh), but Elena and Damon did also end up together in the books, so I think she wouldn’t do that? Then again, the last TVD book (the one with the endgame) actually came out after the show had already had several seasons… so maybe Plec just got lucky that the two matched? Who knows.

I know that at least originally she wasn’t going to follow the books (she said Elena was gonna end up with Matt, ugh again), and tbh the whole show is a reflection of that. I would say that maybe this time she’s doing a better job, but honestly she keeps demonstrating the opposite.

I think TVD just got lucky because the books weren’t great to start with, and thanks to sometimes great and other times good writers the show was better. But yeah, Plec has been erasing characters’ origins, culture, and backstories since then (and we don’t know, maybe even before).

For example, the TVD show only mentions once that Stefan and Damon had Italian ancestors, and that while that is true (and constantly ignored) Stefan and Damon were born in America. In the books, though, they were Italian. They had around five hundred years, they were born during the Italian Renaissance, and I remember at least Damon occasionally speaking some Italian.

Admittedly, LJS (the novels’ author) didn’t explore Damon and Stefan’s cultural heritage much (in my opinion), but that didn’t give Plec a free pass to erase it. Actually, it could have given her a good motivation to do better. But then again, she can only screw things up.

When I started shipping them: after watching season 3 I came to AO3 in search of more Brakenight and was shocked to discover MelRuth was a thing. So I rewatched from s1 again. Excuse to wear your furs caught my eye but See You Around caught my soul and it has been a slow descent into madness ever since. So... April maybe? Feels like a lifetime haha

My thoughts: No thoughts only MelRuth! Ha. I really flip flop on the nature of them. I absolutely adore the idea of Ruth pining after Melanie the whole time, maybe they've had flings but nothing serious, they're friends until Ruth learns the truth and her heart breaks. But I also concurrently headcanon that they did have a relationship, some time between the bees and the start of S1. They broke up but obviously there's still feelings there. And after seven years on the train they've learned how to work together even despite those feelings. The See You Around scene is everything tbh. Melanie realising love is important after all, but Ruth is just too hurt. So hurt in fact that she had been willing to let her die at one point! But she does try to delay it, asking for a trial, and I believe she had a hand in Melanie's escape with Javi and Jinju. By the time Melanie goes to Breslauer, Ruth is having a big internal conflict because she's still SO angry but also Melanie might go away forever. When she agrees to look after Alex, she's cursing herself for not being able to forgive sooner. Saying yes is saying I love you. And the longer she is away, the more Ruth realises she still loves and needs her, after all she always has "melanie on her mind" and she can "feel her out there". But then Melanie is gone, and probably dead, and the train and its people need her. And she needs someone to make her happy (enter Mr Pike). Melanie coming back is a massive emotional shock, and the two struggle to reconcile. But the love and care is still there ("I'm not going to let you go alone am I"). Until Melanie suggests working with Wilford. And after everything... Ruth can't deal with that. At the end of the war, she wants to stay, oh god she wants to stay. But she promised to look after Alex, once, and she intends to fulfil that promise. I love you too much to stay... Okay this descended into headcanon a bit but I am feral for them and the tiny glances between them and idc what you say Melruth is real if I believe hard enough 😂

What makes me happy about them: THE PINING, the little touches, the glances, the Wilford Pin, the fact I would let either of them freeze off all my limbs.

What makes me sad about them: Ben. They never said a proper goodbye (or welcome back from the dead). THE PINING. The fact season 4 is going to kill me.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: when Ruth is in the engine/bunk room before the Milford reveal with no explanation! Caveat that I am currently writing a few things like this because it was easier and yes I'm annoyed at myself for it!

Things I look for in fanfic: at this point just them being in the same room together. Just any and all content of them together and being vaguely nice to each other. But above all I'm here for the E rated fics 👀

My wishlist: I don't know if this is for fic or for canon. For canon I just want them to acknowledge that there was something there once even if there's not now. And a good hug would be nice🥺. First of all, Jean and Mikasa are two fictional characters who are well-loved pre-139 and post-139, but alas, the incel-ness and misogyny in the fandom has also reached its peak during the same time. Which brings us to this never-ending discourse of "I wanna find fault in Mikasa's husband even though I don't believe he's her husband I'm just making sure he's ruined before the second part of the final season starts because I'm a bitter stan who can't swallow the pill of maturity and acceptance". Like bro, seriously. Jean is a textbook nice guy that's really a misogynist?😂 Has a mother kink for Mika?😭 Could not differentiate between taste in hair and taste in personality for more than, idk, ten years?🤢 It's just so funny because...because these takes are something you lot should've addressed before the extra pages if IF they were issues in the first place. But alas, Mikasa has found peace and chose to move on with someone who's not a dead man (how surprising) so of course, the natural course of action would be to attack them instead of be happy for them! 😁 Mind you, I don't believe the husband is Jean but I'm gonna nitpick his whole existence anyway. Oh, wow, look at that dream, he's a drunkard! (And now everyone is analyzing every bit of the first panels of 127 but when jk shippers pointed it out, none of them batted an eye because it was just a "harmless dream" amidst a battle between life and death.) Look at that, people were reasonable back then! Don't I miss those times🥺. Does it ever drive you crazy just how fast the night changes?😔 For example, people before acknowledged Jean's admiration for Mikasa as either not important to the plot or very respectful and dignified. But now, oh 𝑓𝑢𝑐𝑘, his long-standing crush (if you could call a decade-long feelings for someone that) is something shallow😲! We've broken the code! It's been a shallow crush all along! That's the meaning of the dream! Screw him! Pair him with Pieck so he gets to be with someone that we are absolutely not using as a shipping tool! We're not like the jeankasas who self-insert on Mikasa! They hate her, you know?! They absolutely do! Oh, those vile pieces of shit, we should trash their fanarts and harass their authors and artists, stalk their twitters and send weird asks on their CCs! It's the only way to go about this! We shall disturb their peace every single day because God knows what our purpose in life would be if we weren't constantly making disturbingly stupid takes about Attack on My Ship, I mean Attack on Titan!! (This is how y'all sound, and I sadly do not have the mindset that would get me 3k likes on Twitter because I'm not an em shipper and therefore cannot be excused no matter what I say 😔.)

Point of the matter is, there's really no reason to suddenly trash a character simply because of the threat that he somehow ended up with the main girl character of the show. None of you who trash him even believe it's him anyway, so what's the catch? If Jean's not the husband, then why do you feel the need to create threads addressed to "delusional jk shippers" and find fault in shippy tweets as if that would suddenly raise Eren from the dead and tell you you're doing a good job of mischaracterising two of the most important people in his life? I promise you, there's no harm in imagining Mikasa as a full-fletched woman who's steering life in the direction she chooses, and if that's marriage, then fucking support her. If that's being with a family, then don't fucking reverse psychology your definition of feminism and say that she's not actually happy. Are people in AOT really that monotonous? You can't continue visiting an important person's grave while also finding purpose and peace in your life? (Cuz I sure fucking hope Kakashi does not feel this way, but I digress). Just let us ship them in peace, and go ship em like you've always done. You don't need to always wage war with other ships to feel dignified. (Aside from the "jk shippers" who always feel the need to trash on em without any basis, comment on em fanarts, and send unnecessary hate to your fandom, then of course, you can all duel to the death idc 😑.) Let's all rest this case. Romance is not the point of AOT (or so I fucking thought, anyway), so we should not even be having any of these love fights over 2d (and well-loved) characters.

So its been a whole while from changing this profile, would like to its been at least 3-4 years, and i've finally did and I've never felt so much better about myself. I was scared that ppl who followed me or were just looking around my page would judge me because of what is in my like section and who I follow as well. I can't believe it. I now have 1k on Instagram. from the bottom of my heart thank you thank you immensely for people who have followed me over the years as my posts were just dumb and me posting just to post. as the years went on with me having insta I grew into a new person, a new phase in my life each time happening along with a post to show it.
