The first comic takes place before the two started dating. Shrimpo is really really really bad at expressing emotions other than anger and frustration, so anytime he tries to express anything, he just blurts out his feelings without thinking. Then he gets second-hand embarrassment lol. Glisten was pretty aware that Shrimpo liked him before, but he's pretending to be surprised to make Shrimpo "feel better" (also to mildly embarrass him lol).

Also, I think that Shrimpo and Glisten bonding over hating Finn is very based and true. They need that autistic man to SHUT UP/silly

I think Shrimpo and Finn are very cousin coded. Not close enough to be siblings but definitely got some familial genes going on imo (plz don't shoot me Shrimpbowl shippers🙏🙏🙏) Doesn't stop Shrimpo from being violent towards Finn tho, and Finn does nothing to deter it lol (he finds it funny). Also, Glisten throws no punches bc he doesn't want to get his hands dirty.

On the other end, I've been thinking about Shimmer a lot lol. So here is a doodle of her with her "sister aunt" Toodles, and Pebbles.

They all get along super well. In this pic, Toodles is like 12ish and Shimmer is 4 (but her weird biology made her age up to like 7 here). Pebble is pebble, that's all you need to know.

I love you angst comfort. My sib pointed out while playing one day that Shrimpo looked traumatized as a Twisted, which like, fair, but it make me think.

Glisten: "They say you are not here anymore. But I think you are."

I had this silly idea that Twisted Shrimpo was infected by Dandy personally, and that whole conflict got Shrimpo's lower jaw ripped off. He is very violent and volatile, and very hard to calm down. But, when he runs into a twisting Glisten alone and scared, he comforts him (to the best of his ability).

Since Glisten is still able to be somewhat conscious, he realizes that the Twisteds are actually not completely gone like he originally thought, and it helps him keep his sanity longer, hoping for a way out for everyone.

Willpower is a crazy thing.

On the complete opposite note, I love you horrifying freak of ichor child.

Since Shimmer was made from the ichor itself with no sort of skeleton or solid foundation, her condition is very unstable. And the problem is that her body is affected by her emotions. On a bad day, she can suffer from lots of pain and her body literally melting away. That's when she hides out and waits for her body to stabilize again.

When she completely twists, her body completely falls apart, becoming a puddle of ichor on the ground. If she was an encounterable twisted, she would work like Sprout's puddle root things, but easier to maneuver around and avoid. Also, her antenna glow.

You and Astro were exact opposites in every way, with Astro being the calm yet timid introvert he was- and you the energetic flower. Always happy to have fun and help other toons, as Astro observed from afar about you.

You and Astro were exact opposites in every way, that it came as a surprise to him and every toon that you’d caught feelings for him- and made it very clear by confessing to him.

You and Astro had already been close friends before such feelings blossomed, however Astro always noticed when it was just the two of you alone- you suddenly were all calm and quiet. You were still your kind self, however such a shift made Astro wonder- even after your confession to him.

And your confession to him gave him more questions than answers.

It was just the two of you looking at the starry sky, when you whispered your love to Astro with the same happy grin.

You expected Astro to be asleep already by the time you whispered your love to him, but suddenly his eyes sprung open and a blue blush was cast over his cheeks.

It’d been a few weeks then when you two started dating, and now you were planning a slumber party for all the toons!

Astro watched on with a smile on his face at all the toons you talked to during the slumber party. Although he didn’t participate in the activities himself, he felt a fuzzy feeling watching you and everyone else have fun.

But if you’re so happy all energetic and outgoing, why weren’t you that way around him? Was he making you unhappy all this time?

He always had these questions in him, but at this particular night they started to claw at him so tightly like the second pair of arms around his body.

When it was finally time for all the toons to go to sleep in their own sleeping bags or spots on the couch, you and Astro stayed awake.

When you two met, you were a newbie. A lot of the toons surrounded you, wanting to see who you were.

Of course, you were shy. There’s 17 different toons looking at you. One of them is looking at you with a frown.

“I HATE BURGERS!!”

You jumped a little, because of his sudden abrupt voice.

"That's Shrimpo."

“He’s kinda mean.”

“Kinda is an understatement. Also it’s kind of, not kinda.”

“Potato potato Rodger.”

After Shrimpo’s hateful statement, you just stared. You two made eye contact, and he looked away first! So you won!

You smiled at him, and he looked away again.

A day after that, you thought—

‘Maybe Shrimpo could be my friend?’

You hung out with Shrimpo, a lot. He couldn’t understand why you weren’t going away.

Why don’t you hate him like everybody else?

As days passed, he tolerated your presence more and more. Like not yelling at you as much. Somehow managing to be less of a hater, and him continuously losing ‘staring contests’.

You could convince him to do arts and crafts. Convince him to hang with the other toons, convince him to not bang his head on the machines. Say, why does he do that?

The other toons noticed obviously! Have you seen how calm Shrimpo was around them? Only when you’re around though. When you’re gone it seems like he’s more angry compared to before meeting you.

Dandy was walking around, looking for you and Shrimpo.

"Shrimpo!!"

He was walking around, with his hands on his hips.

‘Where did those gremlins go?’

He looked into a smaller room, seeing you.

You were facing Shrimpo, the both of you sitting on your legs. With you holding his hands.

“Why.. Do you like me so much?”

“It led to love, I guess. The other toons might not like you but I do. I like you a lot actually.”

Looking up from his hands, you two make eye contact.

You heard a gasp, but it wasn’t Shrimpo’s.

Sensing who it was, you got up, walking over to…

He gets pretty cuddly in private, probably the little spoon, but wouldn’t mind switching it

He’s soft around you

It took some time to get him to smile, it happened when you gave him multiple kisses on his face

He was slightly functioning, then blinked away his non functioning self

Before he knew it, he was smiling

Surprisingly, for the rest of the day he was smiling more, not in front of the toons, but just in front of you

He was really clingy too, he hadn’t realized that those kisses were all he needed to be happy and smiling for a day

It’s hard for him to communicate his feelings, you really gotta reel it out of him

He’s very vulnerable in that moment, so try to not make any jokes or else he’ll be mad at you for the rest of the day

After all, it's a education center. Something flooded with kids, of course they'll try and profit from it.

While you were looking around the floor, you saw Shelly looking at one of the shelves. you come up to her and see her looking sad.

" hey Shelly, are you . . Uh. Doing alright ? " You know it's a dumb question but what else could you ask ? You don't know how to comfort someone, let alone a toon ! Their technically the same thing but it's more awkward.

Of course the idea of Rodger being present on the run glisten gets left behind is great angst for the ship, imagine if he wasn’t. You can do so much with that too.

He’s just waiting by the elevator for the group to come back up, only to not see his boyfriend leave the elevator with the rest of them. Everyone in the group looks shaken up and emotional but when urged for an explanation struggle to get it out initially cause it’s so hard to admit. How hard it would be to process the idea that he’s just gone. Cause he can’t be gone, Rodger just saw him earlier that day. He helped him choose what bow to wear, they talked while glisten did his makeup. He was just there. Wondering if glisten was scared, did it hurt? Did he think about Rodger when he realized he was going to die? Did he even have time to think about anything at all, or was his mind completely clouded by pain? Was he still aware when the elevator left? Part of him hopes he wasn’t, for the idea of him hearing the elevator slam shut leaving him to his fate is too much to bear. The only slight comfort at the time being that twisteds seem to be numb to the pain and fear they experience. He can only hope that glisten wasn’t scared for long before his mind left him. Yet this is disproven the moment he sees him twisted for the first time, and has the disturbing realization that his mind is still there and has been since he first got attacked.

HIII HELLO I AM NOW NORMAL ENOUGH TO ANSWER ASKS, YIPPEEE ANGST!!!

OUGHHH YEAHHH.... he's just standing there as he hears the elevator come up in the lobby, watching for him to walk out arguing with Shrimpo or chitchatting with Teagan? He doesn't quite register it when he's not with the group that he'a gone at first, the others telling him they're so sorry and trying to explain through choked words what happened, just standing there staring as if he's expecting Glisten to teleport out from a hiding place even when his mind is already starting to panic. What if he ends up doing so many short solo runs to the Twisted floors without telling anyone so he can just *find* Glisten? Just... to confirm the worst, in his mind. A mix of denial that he's dead and trying to accept the fact that he's gone, and try to get a headstart on noting down his behaviours for when actual teams encounter him.

And he finds Glisten one time. Maybe alone, maybe with a team, but he hears him calling for someone, *anyone,* somewhere on the floor. He thinks it's just his imagination, but when he goes to check, *there he is.* Still seemingly alive. Very traumatized and a bit unstable, yeah, but conscious. He's been alone that whole time. Do you think Rodger tried to justify it by thinking of it as just some cruel trick? Ichor puppeting his body and making it seem like he's still sentient to trick the group into a false sense of security before attacking? And yet, he never attacks. Never acts like he's trying to manipulate or lure the other Toons. He just follows them around like a lost puppy, especially Rodger, engaging in conversation and maybe being a little too clingy or - for lack of a better word - 'Twisted' in his mannerisms but otherwise fine.

By the time they have to leave the floor, you think Rodger had to battle it out in his mind between protecting the other Toons from a potentially dangerous Twisted and try to convince himself that Glisten was just tricking them, even when his mind is screaming at him that he isn't, vs. pushing his reason and apprehension to the side to save the one sentient Twisted that he'd once been so close to and bring him with them?

(I saw someone started writing a fic / doing a comic with this concept recently and AUGHHH the ANGST it HURTS /pos)

If twisteds could talk, their voices could be distorted/gurgled as the ichor could literally be also choking them. If not then I guess they just make animalistic noises lol. Or.. they could be repeating they know right before they got.. twisted.

Astro, possibly would tell a toon he just fucking tore apart “sweet dreams” once they died, hoping that their in peace now, but carrying more guilt.

Dandy is the only one who has full control of himself, but his voice could still be either the same, or slightly distorted as well..

(Holy shit while I was writing this, imagine that the Eternal Happiness skins have their own twisted variants, you know they’re close when you hear distorted laughing. And you should probably run when you see a rainbow puddle.)

So for poppy it’s mostly gurgling / zombie esque noises. Occasionally she mumbles something about how the ichor hurts, or how she has to complete the machines.

Boxten gets a bit more voice lines, occasionally he’ll quietly call out stuff like ‘ guys ‘ or ‘where did you go? ‘. There’s of course some gurgling- maybe even he sings a little- to the tune of a disoriented music box, in an attempt to calm himself.

Now Shrimpo makes more animalistic noises, more so growling and a bit of gurgling. Occasionally he utters something like ‘ I HATE the dark ‘ or ‘ I HATE the cold ‘ or maybe even ‘ I hate THESE STUPID TOONS MAKING SO MUCH NOISE ‘

I don’t imagine Tisha speaking much, maybe she hums softly or remarks on how dirty this place is.

Toodles straight up makes animal and gurgling noises. Maybe she will have a throwaway like for when it’s a blackout that she doesn’t like the dark.

Brightney is pretty similar to poppy in that she makes more so gurgly zombie esque noises. Occasionally she may reference the other toons and her need to find them because the dark can be dangerous. Maybe she’ll reference specific toons and remark toodles is afraid of the dark or that Rodger has been more jumpy lately so the dark won’t do him good.

I’d imagine razzle and dazzle humming as well when they’re idle, since they can’t really move. Both when disturbed I think they speak at the same time, saying contradictory things like ‘ DIE ‘ and ‘ RUN ‘

Tbh I can’t imagine Rodger talking. If he did he’s oddly snappy, like ‘ DONT TOUCH THAT. ‘ or like ‘ YOU CANT HANDLE IT ‘

Teagan is also a zombie noise person, maybe she remarks about the tapes and how she needs them. She needs them or dandy is going to kill them all. . .

Goob just sobs. Hes scared, he’ll call out to the toons and says he doesn’t want to be alone. He wants a hug- he call if anyone wants a hug in a weak voice. And most devastatingly, if there is a scraps in the party, he’ll call out to her.

Meanwhile scraps is more manic, laughing manically while chasing toons, maybe even taunting them. If she’s looking, perhaps she has a moment of clarity and calls for goob in a more concerned voice (she has additional voice lines about how she’s worried about him if there is a goob in the party)

I’d imagine dandy is a lot more pissed off so his voice lines sound like he’s gonna snap on yo ass. Obligatory where are my tapes line.

Most of the toons knew better than to mess with you. Hell, even Dandy broke into a light sweat the moment you stepped into the room. You were intimidating and so strong, yet in Goob’s mind, you were also insanely sweet and caring. Nobody else saw in you what Goob did. They were simply too afraid, always assuming your serious demeanor would get them into some kind of trouble.

Your reserved and composed demeanor contrasted with Goob’s silliness in a way that was almost comedic, making it hard for anyone to believe there was something between you. After all, how could the intimidating badass possibly be interested in someone as naive and soft as the stuffed craft? Surely you’d want someone who matched your level, right?

Well, opposites attract. And in your case, the attraction was strong. By the time you two started becoming more playful in the elevator, it caught Scraps completely off guard. She watched you both with a mix of awe and admiration, marveling at how her brother managed to bring a smile to even the most stoic face.

As you zoomed off to handle the twisteds, Scraps and Goob remain close, wandering the floor in search of ichor machines. It wasn’t long before Scraps noticed Goob zoning out. Scraps fought to keep her excitement contained, holding back the most giddy smile at Goob’s love confession. Of course she had noticed you and Goob growing closer, but this felt different. Something really special. “Ohhh, them, really?” she asked with playful curiosity. “Aren’t they the one who threw Shrimpo out the window that one time?”

Like, I have an oc, their name is healing (idk if I should keep that name tbh) that's basically based on a medicine bottle, and is basically a support healer if they were in the game.

And I wonder if they could be a therapist or doctor like caretaker to the tamed twisters in your AU. Like, keeping an eye on Shelly and glisten whenever boxten or anyone were too busy, keeping progress with flutters and helping her adjust with her lack of flight, etc.

I don't think they would be as close as how boxten is with the tamed twisteds, but I feel like they would at least warm up to them a bit (not sure about shrimpo tho)

im once again looking for roleplay partners!! preferably long term. ive got worldbuilding and headcanons and plot ideas for most fandoms and other things if that'll help. i can write three discord messages per reply if you like longer rps, but if youd prefer shorter rps i can do that as well (though i probably will write more anyway!) i have plenty of fandoms (adventure time, object shows, and little nightmares, warrior cats) but right now im looking for dandy's world roleplayers!! i can do alternate timelines, AU's and OC's (within reason of course)

while i am mainly looking for dandy's world roleplayers at the moment, i do have a couple other fandoms i will list after this. for dandy's world, i main shrimpo, and would be ecstatic if i could find someone do to an angst angryhug (goob x shrimpo) roleplay, (i also like boxten x shrimpo, but i dont know the shipname for that one ;o;) ive got a design for shrimpo (canon and alt) that ill be adding to the end of this post !! i love infection aus or just general zomie-like worldbuilding, and general horror themes !! and if i love the rp ill probably draw alot of the scenes...

for object shows ive got plenty of ocs, or i can do canon characters from (ONE, TNM, ITFT, or AB) most of the characters can be negotiated and talked about in pms.

for adventure time i main iceking (and simon), and can do AU's and AT's and have plenty of AUs and alternate timelines! and headcanons.

Hey guys!!! It's me back at it again showing off my fankids cuz I love my fankids don't you guys love my fankids of course you love my fankids everyone loves my fankids-!!! *gets exploded*

This is kiiiiinda gonna serve as a master-post to these kids. Things may change, things may not (they probably will). I want to open an ask blog up for them and "their" Gardenview (which is just my super self-indulgent silly goofy hc Dandy's World where everything is how I want it lol with only a minor amount of angst). Lmk if you guys are actually interested in that!

I preped everything, and it was super fun. If anyone has questions please lmk cuz I would yap for HOURS about these guys they're my oobily goobilies and I will destroy a small to medium sized nation for them.

You mentioned Goob isn't exactly treated nicely by the staff, but like what do they do to him? Istg i will kick anyone who harmed the goofy goober i swear

(This is obvi all a VERY indulgent headcanon and isn’t canon I just wanted to make that obvious for anyone reading, this is all the made up story I have in my brain and will likely never do much with)

I more think that, in the context of him showing up randomly being made by Scraps, the employees wouldn’t be happy now having to deal with ANOTHER toon that’s extremely clingy and to them pretty obnoxious sometimes (The hugging constantly and trying to be everyone’s friend all the time) and to workers who get paid pennies by Gardenview, now having to deal with him is a hassle they don’t feel they’re paid enough to deal with.

They of course would never HURT him (They’d get fired) but they don’t really bother caring for him properly, especially since he’s literally made of stuffing and is very durable, like the washing machine comic, they COULD have taken maybe 10 minutes to scrub off the paint and he would have been fine, but it’s easier to just chuck him in the washing machine and hang him up to dry later, but now you have a soggy Goob who’s waterlogged and can’t move (Wet stuffing is heavy obvi) and is now afraid of using paint because he knows he’ll be put back in.

They get back at them, though. Scraps scratches the hell out of them if they mistreat him with her around and she makes it a personal goal to make their jobs their worst experience ever at all times, and Goob slaps the hell out of them if they’re being rude to Scraps (Like the Shrimpo comic) (He’s only ever smacked Shrimpo and the employees- ever) so they get their payback. They may get put in time out but they find it so worth it.

Rodger: "...We don't really get to see many other cartoons. Our TVs really only play our episodes. Vee does have access to the system and has changed the channels to give us something else to watch. Toodles likes both."

Rodger tucked the paper away in his pocket.

"Shrimpo... I suppose you wouldn't mind talking about this later, right? Even you must think it's a little odd."

The toon in question nodded a bit, "I HATE TO ADMIT IT, BUT YOU ARE RIGHT. I DON'T REMEMBER ANY SAFETY CONCERNS... THAT FLOWER IDIOT WASN'T EVEN SICK FOR THAT LONG, WAS HE?"

Before Glisten was officially in the game, he was the ONE toon I thought Shrimpo would genuinely like as a caregiver. Considering Glisten looked like he could be fairly rude and sassy when he wanted to be, I imagined them as a pair of mean girls.

It ended up really long so the headcanons (and a little doodle page) are below the cut!

Glisten ⊙°

More than any other toon, Shrimpo actually looks up to Glisten quite a bit. Shrimpo really likes him as a caregiver too, but sometimes he can't help but think he's wasting Glisten's time.

- Glisten is rather firm with rules when Shrimpo is little because he knows the consistency and expectations of them keep Shrimpo calm and in-check. Shrimpo respects Glisten and knows better than to try and pull anything with him. He also really likes how theatrical Glisten can get when they play pretend together, it makes things a lot more fun. Overall, Glisten is surprisingly good with kids, even with ones that have a temperament like Shrimpo.

- Shrimpo has a really difficult time reaching out, even when he knows he needs help. He almost see Glisten as 'above him' so he feels like he's wasting the other toon's time when he wants or needs to be babysat. Glisten also isn't the best at helping when Shrimpo is crying or sad, which doesn't help either.

- Glisten is best at taking care of him while he's around toddler headspace, but Shrimpo is comfortable enough to stick around when he's regressed to early teen years as well (usually when he's older he prefers to be alone, Glisten is the biggest exception to this).

- Around toddler age, Glisten like to play with Shrimpo by doing things like read alouds, coloring activities, finger paint (with heavy supervision), and playing pretend with action figures and toys. When Shrimpo's older, they play video games but Glisten always lets Shrimpo win if he can. And also when he's older Glisten tends to not hover as often because he knows Shrimpo would want more space and less doting. He generally trusts Shrimpo to not do something stupid when he's around 13+

- Glisten has the hardest time getting a toddler Shrimpo to bed, he is a very firm fighter when it comes to sleep. The one thing that gets him out like a light is hot chocolate, Glisten discovered. But of course, Glisten doesn't want to give in and let him have all that sugar every night, so instead he lays with Shrimpo and quietly reads (even if he reads through the whole book, he'll just start over) until he is sure Shrimpo is asleep.

- If Shrimpo is feeling fussy and says something mean to Glisten, without fail, Glisten will feign feeling offended/hurt and a majority of the time Shrimpo will end up scrambling to apologize and make him feel better moments after because he didn't mean it.

Goob ☆°

I do get the appeal of Goob and Shrimpo being a pair because Shrimpo could have a soft spot just for Goob, however I don't really think Goob is someone Shrimpo prefers as a caregiver unless he is in babyspace.

- In his normal toddler headspace Shrimpo absolutely loathes being coddled and babied, but Goob's love language is cuddles and doting on little ones. This leads to Shrimpo being very combative while Goob tends to be more sensitive for lack of a better word, and doesn't really know how to handle an angry little. Another problem is, Shrimpo knows Goob is too kind to properly enforce punishment, so he will often act out and do things against the rules on purpose with him, because he knows Goob won't make him face any consequences that matter to him.

- When in babyspace, Shrimpo tends to be more quiet and calm and is much more receptive to Goob's cuddles and caring style. He's probably too ashamed to admit it, but Goob is always his favorite when he's feeling particularly small. Goob just knows how to make him feel better after a meltdown.

- Both Shrimpo and Goob prefer to be little playmates rather than little/cg. This is pretty much the best middle ground for both of them. Shrimpo doesn't feel like he's being babied and feels less need to act out and rebel, and Goob doesn't have to feel as responsible or stressed out.

- Shrimpo doesn't like keeping many toys of his own, so Goob often brings some of his own toys along to play with in Shrimpo's room, like a dollhouse with a bunch of different toys, or fidget toys, or puzzles when he's an older toddler age. Goob likes playing with Shrimpo a lot, but he also usually gets too into it and regresses by accident.

- Goob actually prefers to be a big brother to Shrimpo since usually Goob is the little sibling. When Shrimpo's in babyspace he treasures the moments he gets with the bubbly little shrimp cradled in his arms. Goob gets why Scraps is so protective over him when he sees Shrimpo so small and vulnerable like that.

Teagan ♤°

A somewhat unexpected but very comforting caregiver to Shrimpo. She is a naturally motherly toon, but she also is particularly good with Shrimpo because she knows how to work with him through tough emotions or tantrums. She is very calm and patient despite how combative Shrimpo can be sometimes.

- Sometimes just the tone in Teagan's voice gets Shrimpo feeling small. She'll gently scold him for doing something he knows he shouldn't be doing, and he just melts.

- Shrimpo really appreciates how patient Teagan can be, even when he's being difficult on purpose. With her, he almost feels bad for misbehaving because of how she motivates him with praises (that he absolutely isn't used to hearing).

- Teagan really does care about Shrimpo and hates to see him beat himself up or try to deal with his issues alone. Her favorite moments with him are when he's small and sleepy, which makes him very cuddly and affectionate.

- Teagan found out that tea helps Shrimpo fall asleep without a fight (given to him in a sippy cup of course, wouldn't want any spills).

- Teagan takes care of a few other littles, so unfortunately she's not available as often as Shrimpo's other caregivers. Shrimpo isn't really comfortable with being taken care of with other littles around either (except Goob).

- Similarly to Goob, Teagan is very good at helping Shrimpo calm down during a tantrum/meltdown. She never raises her voice even when she's frustrated, and she tries to get Shrimpo to talk about his issues with an indoor voice. She always tries to give him options to try and help him with whatever's bothering him.

- Shrimpo really likes to hear Teagan sing for bedtime. Teagan doesn't really think she's that good at it, but she knows Shrimpo loves it so she does it for him.

- Teagan is the only caregiver that Shrimpo uses a parental nickname with, he likes to call her mama when he's small enough. Teagan thinks it's really sweet but doesn't comment on it to save him the embarrassment.

Originally there was a section with Dandy instead of Teagan, but most of the headcanons were rather negative so I scrapped it. Instead, here are some little blurbs left over.

- Dandy is better at being a babysitter than anything else (to Shrimpo at least).

- Shrimpo likes to hang out with Dandy when he's in a teen headspace because he likes to rant and Dandy is good at listening without adding any unsolicited advice.

- Dandy has noticed subtle tells Shrimpo has when he is feeling small but not quite regressed, and he often teases Shrimpo when he notices him doing them to get him regressed.
