I think an interesting Hunger Games book would be one about being in the Career system in districts one or two. Because imagine being pressured by your parents or your peers or what have you when you’re a little kid to attend an academy designed to train you to murder other kids in the Hunger Games, with the expectation that you’ll one day volunteer to do just that. It’s spending your entire childhood in a brainwashing pressure cooker to turn you into a killing machine like….

Give me 2 seconds of your time, and let me talk about Vanitas from Kingdom Hearts.

I love this character, and not because "Oh he's this edgy goth lad" or something- No- I love his story, and I want to see more of it.

---SPOILERS---

This dude was one of the Original 13 Darknesses. They used to be physical beings before they shed them to being a darkness hive mind.

In the process of doing their EEEEEVIL plan in Union X he was the one set to take over Ventus, our pure light lad. Because of the events of Union X, the two end up becoming one being, equal parts light and dark.

Then Xehanort came along and went "Oh ho ho let me fix that-" (Kinda) but he originally wanted Ventus to tap into that darkness so he could take Ven's body. When Ven couldn't, he decided to change up the plan and make a being of Pure light and Pure darkness. Creating and Naming Vanitas.

Then Xehanort LITERALLY TORTURED Vanitas to make him "Stronger" making him believe the only way to make the pain stop is to fuse with Ventus and create the X-Blade.

Now KH3 does a funny, and those versions of the characters are literally 2 seconds before death YOINK to the future. So that's Vanitas before Ventus got them both. (I know it's confusing and not very clear) So like 3D said, Vanitas is still in Sora's heart during the event's of KH3, prob cringing at his past self.

Back on topic, in KH3, Vanitas states that he is his own person, and that Ventus and himself are brothers. While Ventus before was in denial and accepted they were the same person. Now in KH3, Ventus is still under that idea, that he needs to take Vanitas back to get rid of him.

So a little thing here. He went from his own person, to something of a hive mind with others and loosing his body to accidentally becoming someone's puppet and gaining a body once more, then to realizing he is his own person once more- WHILE THE GOOD GUYS TRY TO MAKE HIM GO BACK TO BEING VENTUS- (Like a HIVE MIND- BUT WITH ONLY 1 OTHER PERSON-)

AAAAHH- It's a circle of pain and rediscovery!

I hope Sora can break it! And I wonder who Vanitas was before getting rid of his physical form... (We know his eyes should be Red! But because of Xehanort they are Yellow!)

Idk, he's a really interesting character, and I hope we get to see more of him in KH4! :D

I love when people use english as their second language almost fluently, but still bring some of their mother tongue quirks into it. My German friend sometimes capitalizes nouns out of habit. My Spanish coworker puts "no?" at the end of her sentences during a heated discussion. I put commas according to Polish rules in particularly long sentences. I love noticing it. It's adorable.

Ok. Real talk right now. And this is just me ranting, whatever you want to call it. These three. Dragon Knights Timaeus, Critias and Hermos.

I'm dying to know they're backstory. Yeah, we saw a short bit in season 4 but..what were their lives like before Dartz went insane? What are their personalities? What would their modern selves be like? How would they act? I want to write about them but I have other works I want to do first. Im not going to lie, I have a crush on these guys. Maybe I'll put them in my Zombie Apocalypse AU or something. ❤️💙🩵 I really want to know more about them.

Something I always hint to or implement as a major plot point in my The Deep stories involving the Monumentials, is that the Monumentials are not of this world. We don’t have a lot of information about them in the show, and while writing a story, i came up with this idea that they’re not really from Earth. How they came here varies on what kind of story I’m writing, but I almost always implement or hint to them not being from this world. Not even the largest of dinosaurs grew to the size of the smallest Monumential, so how did they evolve that big in the first place?

Not anything relevant, I just wanted to share.

Hmm i think the appeal people get out of making Alastor flustered to see Luci in a flapper dress is that Lucifer is wearing an outfit from his time-period, which he finds appealing and attractive, especially if there's not a lot of things in Hell that remind him of home. But if Lucifer is just in drag, I mean...yeah, I kind of agree with you, Anon. (Comparing drag Lucifer to skinny Mimzy reminds me of the Anon who compared minx Lucifer to Angel Dust in the bad wig, and fljsnglkjangljbgljkbg the snort I made 🤣 But also, yeah??? kind of???)

You know? What I want to see if flapper!Al dancing with flapper!Mimzy. Now THAT sounds adorable.

But yeah, I don't see how Lucifer just being in a dress and wearing make-up would fluster Alastor. I mean, Lucifer would look good, for sure, but idk...maybe? Sort of? But also, it doesn't make a lot of sense to my brain??? But also maybe??? But also no???

I don't know, I don't see how Lucifer looking more feminine would fluster Alastor. I don't see him finding it more attractive, not in the sense the Lucifer isn't attractive, but in the sense that him being looking feminine just...isn't a turn on for him. Like, yeah, he thinks Lucifer looks good, but he doesn't find any extra attraction in it. Lucifer is just in a dress now, and he makes it work👍time to hit the dance floor!

Maybe if there's more attraction involved between them? Like, seeing Lucifer in something new and different could be flustering and appealing? But even considering that, I just...can't see it. I can't see Alastor getting flustered by it. It's not computing.

I GUESS, maybe, considering how much of a distance Alastor keeps from men in the show and how much more comfortable he seems around women, Lucifer appearing more feminine could be appealing to him. But even then, I don't see Alastor being flustered by it so much as feeling more comfortable around Lucifer because of it. I feel like he naturally relaxes and feels more safe around women and femininity, and so would let his guard down more easily. He wouldn't be so on edge or keep his distance so much.

Now THAT I find appealing, actually. The more I think about Lucifer appearing feminine as a way of putting Alastor at ease, the more my brain is opening up to feminine Lucifer. Not with him losing ALL his masculine qualities, or turning into a delicate little waif, but him making an effort to present himself in a way that he knows Alastor feels more comfortable around, while also not permanently changing himself to fit that ALL the time (because that feels like a toxic thing to do).

OK FIRST OFF, I didn't even think about them having side preferences like we do with our hands but that makes sense now that I think about it; I know other animals besides us can be 'left or right handed' like horses. BUT I DIDN'T THINK OF WHALES HAVING THE SAME PREFERENCE! Or that depth might make the blue whales shift preference? THIS IS SO FUCKING AWESOME, and now I want to dive back into whale reading all over again, I'm legit jealous you got to take a graduate class on them! Marine mammals are seriously underrated, land animals land animals YES BUT THE WHALES ARE SO COOL and also shoutout to leopard seals and sea lions i like them too
