I just want it on the record that no, I'm not Nox, and the suggestion that I am is pretty silly. I'm not going to make a whole fake pro-endo blog that just says things I could say on my own blog.
That's ridiculous. There's no value in it for me.
I would, however, make a fake anti-endo blog that walks the edge of parody that nobody can tell if it's actually satire or not and attach a clever name to it that references a famous double agent who infiltrated the Nazis. That's much more my style.
I also did not send anons to Nox or the author of the "Sophie is dangerous" document to instigate a fight between them.
This allegation is at least less stupid though. I wouldn't ever drag an ally into drama. But I might instigate fights between different anti-endos. I also might bait anti-endos into saying stupid things with anons.
But even at that, if I did something like this, I would want it to be something I could screenshot and use for content if anything came of it, like I did with Infernal.
There just isn't any use in doing this with an account that has me blocked because I don't like screenshotting them.
I always intended for my response to the doc to be 5 parts, so when the author of the doc was involved in drama again, I decided it was time to finish the fourth part that had been stuck in my drafts forever because it was suddenly topical. Strike while the iron is hot.
There's no grand conspiracy to wage a war against the author through sockpuppets or hiding on anon. While their paranoia has been fun to watch (NGL) it's totally baseless and divorced from reality.
Also, for the love of the gods, don't harass the author. Using their personal trauma against them as one anon did was gross.
And if anyone is harassing them in my name, stop. Understand that I can fight my own battles, and resorting to these sorts of barbaric tactics in my in my name is insulting to me.
Having said that, there will be a fifth part. I don't know when but it will be written and posted at some point. The author has repeatedly and cruelly come after not just me but anyone even vaguely associated with me.
They make themselves out as a victim and accuse others of block evasion and harassment. Meanwhile, they constantly talk shit about these blogs they have blocked by name, have posted direct hyperlinks to those blogs, and have their document about me which links to my posts in their pinned.
They are using the block feature not to shield themselves from harassment but to facilitate it and spread targeted hate against specific individuals.
They have ascended to the highest form of hypocrisy.
And so their punishment, if they stumble upon this post despite having me blocked, is to know.
To know that I have one more post to make on their callout doc. And to not know when it will come. Will it be tomorrow? A week from now? A month? Three? Who can say? 🤷♀️
Will it ruin a good day? Will it make a bad day worse?
Won't it be exciting to find out?!
Of course if they don't see this, if they aren't watching my blog, they'll be spared from the dread and anxiety of the knowing.
Also, anti-endos are a hate group.

what exactly did frank iero do. other than problematic tweets that he made in like 2009 (over a decade ago). like people intentionally try to engage with him in a way where he gives them ‘sass’ or rubs them and that’s his brand
TW. harassment, suicide, self harm, cyber bullying, death threats
Before I get into it, I'm really glad that someone asked about this because I've been meaning to make a post about it. Thanks for asking about it.
I'd recommend checking out @ patheticjunkievampire on Instagram (and possibly twitter? I'm not completely sure if they've said much about it on there) they mostly talk about that incident when frank made a tweet saying smth along the lines of "is you see any accounts saying that they're me reply with "STRANGER DANGER"".
The account he was referring to (patheticvampirejunkie) was literally just posting MCR themed photography- they never claimed to be frank and yet he sent his entire fanbase to essentially harass this person (again, all they did was post photography.)
If you go back and check their first post, a lot of the comments are just "STRANGER DANGER". I know that might not seem like a lot rn but it gets worse.
They posted a lot on their story after they finished the set (I'm not sure what the word for that is. The MCR themed photos they did all counted down from 64 (the beginning) to 1 (the end)) they talked about how the MCR fandom and specifically frank Stans have made their mental health significantly worse than it was when they started posting.
They would post screenshots of interactions they've had with Frank Stans and it's sickening. They received death threats, and messages like "you should kill yourself" and ppl would tell them to cut themselves.
Patheticjunkievampire has also stated before that they've struggles with suicide and self harm in the past, so the fact that these hardcore stans used this against them is sick.
A few people reached out to patheticjunkievampire and told them about experiences they've personally had with Frank. This person gave a platform to people who have had bad experiences with him (ik you cant tell whether someone is a dick or not purely based of some people's experiences, but there were a lot and they were all relatively similar. So to me, these stories that people shared seemed extremely possible since the things he did just suddenly seemed like something he would do.)
The frank stans didn't like that this person was giving a chance for people who had bad experiences with him to express their feelings. They received so much hate for simply saying their opinion.
This all took place on Instagram and Twitter. Obviously depending on what platform you use and engage with MCR content, you're gonna be around different people. The ppl on Tumblr seem way more accepting and open to criticism of their fav band, the ppl on twitter and Instagram are way different.
In my opinion it's kinda weird that frank hasn't really said anything about it. He's literally always online, how tf has he not even heard of any of this??
Another thing I just wanna add (doesn't have anything to do with patheticjunkievampire but I still think it's worth adding) frank sold a bunch of his old stuff. Which isn't inherently bad or anything but...
He was advertising a bunch of old clothes and instruments he had during the MCR era, so he was clearly targeting his fans (his young fans). He was advertising extremely old shitty clothes (that you can find way cheaper literally anywhere else) and he sold them for like X4 (at least) of the original prices. He claimed (for the instruments at least) that he wanted to know that they were being played, because he obviously can't play all those instruments at once.
In that case, if the main reason that he was getting rid of all these instruments... Why didn't he just donate them?? Why did he have to heavily advertise his store to his fans and then sell all his old ratty shitty clothes for such a huge profit? Just doesn't seem ethical to me tbh...
TL:DR
My main problem with Frank is that he, not only, picks on people on twitter, but he makes that kind of behaviour acceptable. By not apologizing or taking accountability for these things, he makes this behaviour (harassment, death threats, cyber bullying, telling ppl to kill themselves or hurt themselves) an okay thing to do. His fans are so toxic and will defend him so much to the point where if you literally just say that you don't like him, they will harass and spam you with really triggering things.
I really hope this clears that up. He's definitely done other things but I couldn't remember them- if anyone has anything else to add please do.

damn, people are so sad at times. bullying, throwing hate for no reason to people who have been nothing but nice to everyone, and putting them under a fire while bring anonymous themselves 99% of the time.
tumblr used to be such a comfort but that comfort is being replaced by anxiety, slowly. and i am sorry you had to go through part of that.
i’ve definitely gotten some p gross anonymous hobgoblins in my inbox, but i’m more concerned about the deteriorating vibes on this site from a general standpoint (primarily as an observer.) i do appreciate the concern, though! 💕
i shall engage in discourse under the cut because no one has solicited my take here. then, i will step off my soapbox and resume my usual thottin’ and boppin’ because being here with my silly little moots, feeding my silly little delusions is supposed 👏🏻 to 👏🏻 be 👏🏻 healing 👏🏻
cw: general reference to anonymous allegation of anti-asian/anti-korean racism in a fanfic (truly not discussed in any detail whatsoever because that’s not actually even the point here); discussion of anon hate & “cancel culture.”
protect your peace, y’all!
disclaimer: the bulk of the anon messages i’ve seen this week focus on allegations of anti-asian racism, specifically a scene in a fanfic where a bts member experiences racism & xenophobia in america. this anon crusade was the straw that broke the camel’s back (it’s me, i’m the camel) but it is absolutely not the only example of the problem here. as a reminder, things i am: a korean immigrant who lives in america. things i am not: a mouthpiece for 1) POC as a collective, non-white whole; 2) asians; 3) koreans; 4) korean immigrants; 5) korean immigrants in america; 6) immigrants, anywhere. literally *any* thought you see on this blog is me speaking my individual mind on my own, individual behalf.
i’ll start off by saying that i don’t have an issue with people going to creators and saying, “you did this thing, and i think it was harmful for xyz reason.” i don’t have an issue with people doing that anonymously, either. this kind of interaction isn’t inherently toxic.
for example, in january (i think?) i discovered jackson wang, thought he was a babe, and dug his music. i wrote a drabble that featured him. shortly thereafter, i got an anon message that (essentially) asked why i would post a drabble about him because he was problematic.
the short version of that answer is that i didn’t know anything about what the anon was referring to. however, because this person brought the issue to my attention, discourse ensued and i did learn about it. ultimately, i came to agree with the original anon that he was not a person i wanted featured on my blog/in my content. the lesson was learned; the drabble was deleted; and things were resolved (in that i got no additional anon messages about this, etc.)
unfortunately, that situation appears to be a statistical anomaly. now, there are hate blogs focused on bts content creators (which is exactly as stupid as it sounds.) i won’t say the name of the blog because i think it’s like a “bloody mary” situation and i do not wish to summon that buffoonery and goonery into my space, now or ever.
i would just….. really, really like a mission statement to explain what the hell the purpose of these blogs and anonymous crusades is supposed to be.
it’s clearly not to meaningfully address conflict and promote changed behavior because the anonymous bombardment continues even after targeted users begin taking accountability & remedial measures. and if that’s supposed to be the goal, i can’t wrap my brain around why no one on those blogs is permitting that process to occur.
so, if no space/time is given for anything constructive to happen, the only purpose i can identify for these blogs is to ceaselessly criticize people whether or not it’s constructive — regardless of the target’s response — until the person they’ve set their sights on feels so beaten down that they ultimately leave the platform.
i’m serious — what does that solve? who does that help?
definitely not the marginalized groups these anons are purporting to advocate for because, from where i’m sitting, this kind of anon swarming just muddies the message and exacerbates the problem.
no one is going to want to try harder or know better if this is what they’re met with, even when they try to respond in good faith. no one in the relevant, marginalized group benefits, either, because someone that could evolve as an ally just got fucking clobbered.
*if you’re in that marginalized group and you disagree with the anons, you’re an “apologist,” “ass-eater,” etc. so, it seems that not all of our voices matter? what was that about speaking over POC (specifically, in this instance, asians)? 🤔
like, do these anons actually want people to learn/change, or do they want a public execution? those things are mutually exclusive.
since the latter is what their ham-fisted tactics result in, i think that was always the goal. and i hate that. i don’t think that makes anything better — for anyone.

So since @roadakamelot, @bleuberrygliscor, and @this-was-a-fandom-blog-once all on some level asked about the Gothic Supernatural Western OCs I wrote up some short summaries.
So the story concept doesn't have a name and most of the characters don't have one. The premise is demons came over with European settlers and wealthy Americans and sometimes communities that pool together enough money now hire out demon hunters to take care of infestations, and the cast of OCs are all demon hunters. It’s set in the southwest around Southern California and the Four Corners area.
The Medium: This is so far one of the two named characters: Trinidad. He's also the oldest character, a young Mojave adult linked by a curse to a Nahua spirit after burning down the mission that killed his parents. Because they come from different cultures and worlds they know very little about each other and only have one common language: Spanish. They’re still friends but Trinidad doesn’t even know if the spirit was a person once, not all spirits are dead people.
The Omen: This is the other character with a name: Blackbird or Asiginaak as is his name in Anishinaabe. He’s an Ojibwe demon hunter with a bit of a negative reputation because he likes rooting out the source of the demon infestation along with the demons themselves, which usually means disposing of one community leader or the other. He doesn’t actually care if this gives him a bad reputation by the way.
The Ronin: This is the samurai I mentioned before. Turns out being able to use a sword makes you a pretty prime candidate for demon killing, and no one expects a guy to roll up in cowboy gear carrying a sword. Of the cast he’s probably got the best reputation but that’s because he’s very polite. Three people on this list are from cultures where “I’m going to swear at you affectionately” is just part of the lexicon and three do not actually care if their rich settler clients think they’re an asshole.
The Daroga: So while this is a term referring to an official kinda like a police officer, the term is used in the novel by people hiring demon hunters to refer to ones from Persia. This particular demon hunter isn’t a daroga, but the specifics don’t matter to the people paying and this guy’s stopped bothering trying to correct them. He’s by all accounts the second most experienced with hunting demons, with Trinidad being the first.
The Witch: A young woman from the Russian Empire, as her title suggests she’s of a magical sort and as her origin suggests she’s about as tough as nails as they come. I should clarify starting with her that demon hunters are hired regardless of gender, because really their clients don’t care about their safety they just want to keep up appearances.
The Oracle: Originally a fortune teller from New Orleans, the Oracle picked up demon hunting after having a run-in with a demon herself. She’s the least experienced of the main cast but that doesn’t mean she’s bad at it, it just means she’s got the lowest head count. The Oracle is also a medium in her own way but doesn’t have any cool spirits attached to her like Trinidad.
The Fair Folk: Is she actually a Faerie? Yes she is in fact actually an Irish Fair Folk, she’s a dullahan. Yes, she is actively an asshole to everyone and borders on being just as bad as the demons they’re hunting minus the indiscriminate murder. Yes, she has the worst reputation of the whole cast, even Blackbird. She’s wonderful and an absolute nightmare and will open fights by removing her head and chucking it at her target.
They’re all on varying levels of the chaotic spectrum because you need to be a certain level of out of your entire mind to provoke demons (and also deal with the absurdly wealthy people that definitely attracted them and are now dealing with the consequences of their own actions).

Gabby's Brain Worms Working in Overdrive
So, since starting my custom doll journey, I've been lurking in the /r/Dolls subreddit for inspo and info.
Recently, there was a post that caught my eye, basically asking how well the concept of a Transformers based fashion doll line would work. They were asking for feedback based on a video their friend made. I dunno what the purpose of asking was: if they were just curious or if they/their friend was seriously considering making some dolls, but either way it intrigued me.
Now, despite being very new to fashion dolls and knowing basically nothing about Transformers, for obvious reasons the idea of magical girl/boy robots was very appealing to me, so I wrote an embarrassing amount on the topic in a reply.
But, I don't actually have a reddit account, thought it would look weird if I made an account just to make that one reply, and again, I wrote an embarrassing amount of thoughts on the idea.
So I've decided to post what I wrote here.
---------------
I think the idea of a doll line about robot-alien magical girls/boys is about the most "me" thing in existence, but I think the proposed execution is poor.
But, the idea really excites me, so I do want to talk about it. I'll try to make this a "compliment sandwich" and say: good thing, bad thing, how it could be done better, repeat.
Note: When I refer to the owner of the dolls as a "young girl" I'm not trying to insinuate that they're the *only* kind of person that would own these dolls, but I do think they're the target demographic in the discussion. The hypothetical show these dolls are based on is inspired by the shojo genre, which is aimed at adolescent girls. So most of my criticisms are coming from that perspective.
The needs/wants of a child and an adult collector are going to be very different, and I'm trying to look at this from the former point of view. If the market was adult collectors, then you can really do whatever the heck you want, because a niche audience for it is gonna exist, but when you're targeting something as specific as a "young girl," then you've got to look at the product from their perspective.
-------
Good thing: The dolls having flexibility in mind from the start is a huge selling point. More articulation = more playability. I can imagine kids and collectors being really happy to be able to get really good action poses from the dolls.
Bad thing: The reason for the gimmick seems silly to me. I get that the extra articulation is supposed to essentially replace the original transforming gimmick, but the way it was conceived seems to imply that the extra articulation would somehow lead the kid to becoming interested in the main transforming toys, and I just don't see that happening. If a kid gets into the originals from the dolls, then it's probably because of the character overlap, not because of the doll's features, and certainly not because of yoga. Yoga is a very slow and thoughtful exercise: you're not gonna get a lot of action from it unless you find a way to weaponize it like the Wii Fit Trainer, but even in Smash Bros they're pretty goofy looking, so I don't see it being a selling point.
How to fix it: I don't think this is actually a "problem" that needs fixing per say on the actual doll. It's kind of just a marketing thing: instead of making a point about how the yoga poses look like vehicles, the extra articulation can just be the selling point. "Highly posablee figures to recreate your favorite moments from the show!" that kinda thing. If you really want to add more allusions to the source material to act as a gateway to the main series, then I think that can be achieved through fashion and accessories for the doll. Something like the Starscream doll having a backpack that looks like his jet form (with the added benefit that you can still see the wings from the front like his original design). A kid might want a replica bag for themselves, and if they're really into it, then they might want the Transformers toy that it's based on too. Triple sale right there baby~
----------
Good thing: I think the snap-on armor is also a unique feature. I like the idea of a doll that can be a handsome heartthrob but also become a kick-ass robot. The LOL Surprise Arcade Heroes come to mind, though the execution and aesthetic is a bit different. I see opportunities to mix and match pieces to make totally new looks: it's an opportunity for kids to imagine unique scenarios like power combining and fusion.
Bad thing: Having a full helmet would limit the hair possibilities. At such a small scale, every millimeter of material needs to be accounted for. If these dolls are fully rooted, their helmets would need to be huge to accommodate the hair, which could look goofy. But beyond just looking funny, it'd likely be difficult to dress with the helmet. Can you even imagine the struggle of trying to fold long hair to fit into something that form fitting? Even tying it up is gonna take up a considerable amount of volume that will need to be accounted for.
Ways to Fix it: I can think of 3 ways to fix this:
1) Wigs/molded hair. I don't love this option since they're susceptible to being lost and damaged more easily if there are frequent swaps, but this would allow the doll to have both hair that can be styled and wear a decently sized helmet. You could also sacrifice hair play and use molded hair pieces but you'd be losing one of the key features of a fashion doll: the hair styling. At that point, you might as well be making an action figure, which isn't the goal here.
2) Don't do helmets. I think helmets are the best way of giving the dolls a truly robotic look that can be swapped out, but there are other options. Even in the example images, the dolls still have their human facial features visible, so it wouldn't be a stretch to just redesign the helmets to either have no back so the hair can hang free, be a mask for the same reason, or just take them out completely. You can still have a "techy" looking doll using visors and hats, or other head accessories.
3) Proportion the doll to accommodate the large helmet. If a big head on a normal body is gonna look goofy, then you really just need to adjust the body to match. There's no single "right" way to do this, but if the dolls are meant to be in scale with the average fashion doll (1:6), whatever route you go is probably gonna result in a doll that's less "handsome", and more "cute". Larger features generally equate to more baby-ish looks, which equals "cute." And I don't think that's a bad option for a line aimed at young girls, but it conflicts with the show's genre, so unless the show's genre changed as already suggested, this might create a conflict in the show's image vs. the dolls.
----------
Good thing: Transformers being a franchise primarily with male characters means that this would be a primarily male fashion doll line. I think that would be very unique and would appeal to certain collectors and people just generally looking for more male dolls. It's an uncrowded market, so this could be a selling point. I think the cyber/techno/retro based fashions could be incredible with enough thought put into them.
But that's a double-edged sword...
Bad thing: I have a lot of problems with the premise of this theoretical show, but I'll try to keep my criticisms aimed at the dolls. That said, the premise of the show impacts the design of the dolls, so it's still gonna come up, and unfortunately I think the show's genre is at odds with the merchandising.
The show being a reverse-harem means that the purpose of the boys is that you (as the young girl watching the show) are supposed to want to date them and to project yourself onto the blank slate female lead. Focusing on attractive male designs is the stated purpose of the line, but I don't think the target audience is going to easily resonate with that theme.
At this age, kids are probably looking for things to see themselves in: to imagine themselves as the people they want to become and the things they want to do. This is a time when kids start really developing their hobbies, interests, and what they want to be when they grow up. While some kids may have romantic fantasies as puberty starts affecting them, it's likely not the majority. At the very least, they'll have other interests in addition to romance.
With only 1 female character in the main line whose only stated trait is being happy to be surrounded by boys, and the other dolls are all male love interests and a baby, I don't see too many girls in that age range being able to project themselves onto any of the characters, so they'll likely seek dolls with more female representation.
How to do it better: Shifting the genre of the show could help. If you really want to keep the anime inspiration, then try moving it more towards the "magical girl" genre, and it'd probably be easier to market. I mean it seems kinda obvious, doesn't it? Transformers is about robots that transform into vehicles and things, and the magical girl genre is about girls that transform into stronger versions of themselves.
Magical girl shows generally have more physical action in them, so now the young girls can imagine the characters in more exciting situations, including romantic ones if they want to. Romance is still a staple theme in the magical girl/shojo genre, so you wouldn't need to get rid of it entirely if that's really the route you wanna go, but there's a greater emphasis on female empowerment that could be more inspiring for the intended audience. Plus, there's a big emphasis on the outfitting of magical girls since the magical transformation is usually includes an outfit upgrade/change, so there's a precedent to sell fashion packs to upgrade the bots' looks.
I do think this shift would also necessitate adding more female characters to the main cast, but I don't think there's anything wrong with giving some of the female transformers a bigger spotlight in this spinoff, or even inventing new ones or genderbending male ones. It's a spinoff so you can do whatever.
I would consider conceptualizing at least 4 base dolls: 2 autobots, 2 decepticons, a boy and girl for each. Personally, with such a wide variety of characters to include, I would want a line like this to start with at least 6 characters (in which case, I'd say 2 girls + 1 boy per team) so that there's options.
---------
Good Thing: With most of the transformers having unique vehicle modes, there's an opportunity for a wide variety of fashions and pieces. There's an opportunity to explore so many different themes for outfits, and accessories.
Bad thing: This might be uncomfortable to hear, and it's kinda uncomfortable to talk about, but I can't ignore it: I can see a lack of racial diversity becoming a problem. Already in the examples all of the characters are light skinned, which I'm going to generously attribute to your friend only using anime as a basis, which at the time frame the video was made, lacked racial diversity. It's an easy thing to not consider when you're not personally affected by the lack of diversity, but if you're making a toy line to market to the masses, people are going to notice when there aren't any dark skinned dolls in the line.
How to fix this: I have 3 possible solutions.
1) Stick with fantasy skin tones. The original concept is that the boys are Robots disguised as humans, so why not keep their skin silver/metallic, or whatever color the the character originally was. If you make the face sculpts vague enough, you don't have to address race at all. I'd look towards Shadow High, Monster High, and No Straight Roads (not a doll line, but I still think it can be used as inspiration) for examples of characters with fantasy skin tones that are still diverse and fashionable.
Equestria Girls (another Hasbro property) ran into similar conceptual problems and this was their solution. But even then, it didn't go unnoticed that even with the candy-colored skin tones that they were lightened up, so maybe try to avoid that.
2) Hit the randomizer button. Throw all caution to the wind, and just randomly assign human skin tones. It doesn't need to be complicated: character traits aren't inherent to any skin tone, so just picking and choosing randomly will probably get ya somewhere out of the "yikes" zone. I mean, if the character is already explicitly inspired by a certain race/culture, then you should probably try to keep that intact (unless the original was insensitive), but if the character is generic or unassigned, then anything goes.
3) Drop the IP or only make original characters for this line. The only reason adding racial diversity to this line would even be controversial or "difficult" is because this line is based on already existing characters where people already have opinions about the characters. If you don't want to deal with that, just drop the IP. I think the idea is already so far removed from the original Transformers that you might as well do a full rebrand. If the characters are new, people can't complain about "changes."
---------
Most of my other problems are about the ideas about the show itself and are mostly negative, so I'll leave it at that since you're just asking about the idea of the dolls. (But if I can say ANYTHING about it, it's to drop the weebisms. You can be anime inspired without gratuitous Japanese.)
Again, this idea could not be more catered directly to me, but I just see so many problems with it.

Examples of Recommendation Letters for Scholarships
Examples of Recommendation Letters for Scholarships. When applying to study programs or scholarships abroad, letters of recommendation can make a big difference. They are often a key factor in the decision-making process. As someone who has helped others succeed in this area, I want to share some advice to help you too. What is a letter of recommendation for a Scholarship? The letters of recommendation or references play a vital role in academic processes and scholarships. They are documents that are written by a third party who describes themselves, explains their relationship with you, and provides reasons why they recommend you for a specific study or scholarship program. "The scholarship provider or institution is essentially seeking a second opinion about your character and performance. They want to confirm the information you've provided in other documents, like your CV and motivation letter. So, think of the recommendation letter as a way for them to get a fuller picture of who you are. It's not just about verifying facts - it's also about adding more depth to your profile. This is why the recommendation letter plays such a crucial role in your scholarship application." Who should write Recommendation Letter for Scholarship? Unlike what is generally believed, letters of recommendation need not be written by “important people” such as the dean of the faculty or the general manager of the company with whom you have worked. Institutions want letters from people who have had direct contact with you and know your personality and performance firsthand. Therefore, when choosing a reference, it is best to opt for professors, thesis supervisors, bosses or in some cases co-workers. NOTE: These people may not know how to write a letter, want to make sure they give you what you need and / or don’t have the time to write it. Therefore you will be asked to give them guidance and even in some cases that you write recommendation letter and make them read and sign later. Therefore, you can share and / or take into account the following tips: Header Tips for Recommendation Letter Recent date: Avoid delivering letters that you have previously requested for other calls and that are generic. Title or motive: “Letter of Recommendation” or “Reference” Targeted specifically to the program / scholarship provider: The letter of recommendation must explicitly state for whom it is demonstrating personalization and importance. That is why it is important to avoid things like: “To whom it may concern.” Some good examples are: - “Colleagues of the Faculty of Economic Sciences …” - “Members of the admissions committee….” - “University of ….” Content Tips for Recommendation Letter Your letter of recommendation should contain the following elements: Reason: The person who recommends you explains the reasons why you are going and explicitly mentions the program to which he is recommending you. Who he is and how he knows you: The person who recommends you should mention his position, the institution he works with and the relationship he has with you. For example: - “As a teacher of the course of International Relations of the National University …” - “David was my student for the class of…” Description of the program or work: It is important that the reference contextualizes the reader about the nature of the program or the work performed by the person whom he recommends. And in this way give it the importance it deserves. For example: - “The Mechanical Engineering program requires about 20 hours of study …” - “Teamwork is essential to develop these activities …” - “It’s a position with a lot of responsibility since …” The reasons why he recommends you: Very related to the previous one, here the person who recommends you describes your personality, academic and / or professional skills that make you the ideal candidate for the program to which you are applying. For example: - “Pepe showed … and good handling of… .. ” - “During the time that Juana worked with me, she stood out for her…. Y ….” - “I recognize Pepe as a person….,…. Y …..” - “Joan managed …” Recommendation reinforcement: In the final part of the letter the person who recommends you should emphasize that you are the right person for the program you are applying with things like: - “I’m sure Pepe will bring great value to the program of … … and university x” - “I strongly believe that Juana… ..” - “He is also … and …” For more information and dismissal: It is a good idea that the person who recommends you is open to answer questions by the selection committee and therefore must demonstrate it at the end of the letter with things like: - “For more questions, do not hesitate to contact me” - “I will be willing to solve the questions you may have” Tips to get very good letters of recommendation for scholarship Ask for them in time: The people who are going to write your letter of recommendation will most likely have several responsibilities and therefore will need at least 1 month to write your letter of motivation. Keep that time in mind and the application deadline so you can send all the complete documentation on time. Share your CV and motivation letter to these people: Ideally, the people who are going to write your letter of recommendation know what you have done and your motivation to be part of the program to which you apply. Therefore it is highly recommended that you meet with them to share your experience and plans, or to share documents such as your curriculum vitae and motivation letter. For academic recommendation letters: If you graduated more than 2 years ago and have not kept in touch with your professors, you must be very careful in the person you choose to serve as a reference and the way you approach him to ask for it. You can think of teachers with whom you stood out or with whom you had the greatest contact so that when you contact them and tell them that it is you, they can remember you more easily. I recommend that before asking anything you make some initial contacts to resume the relationship . You can achieve this through an email, a phone call or even a personal visit to update the person in what you have done during the time that has passed, tell them your plans to continue your studies and ask about their opinion. Formatting Tips for Scholarship Recommendation Letter It complies with the guidelines that you are asked for: For example, in some cases the institution may ask you that the letter of recommendation be in a previously defined format, that it be written by specific people and / or that it be sent in a sealed envelope. If so, follow those instructions because they are application requirements that, if not met, can mean your immediate disqualification. Language: If it is for an English program, it is ideal that it be written in that language and that the person serving as a reference can answer questions in that language. However, it is not mandatory that it be handled in this way because you can attach an official translation to your letter of recommendation. Size: It is recommended that the letter of recommendation be between 1 and maximum 1.5 pages in Times New Roman , Arial or Calibri , size 12 and with normal spacing and margins. This way you make sure it is concrete but descriptive enough. Letterhead: Ideally, the letter should be written on a letterhead of the institution to which the teacher belongs or the organization where your boss works. This gives the document more formality and therefore more confidence. Contact information: The letter must clearly include the telephone, postal address and email of the person who recommends you. In this way, the evaluating institution is given the opportunity to contact the person who recommends you to verify the information. Sincerely, Recommendation Letter Example March 17, 2021 College Scholars Program University of England 123 Business Rd. Business City, NY 54321 To Whom It May Concern: It is with much enthusiasm that I recommend Greg Phils for inclusion in the College Scholars Program at the University of England. I was Greg's instructor for multiple English classes during his four years at Morristown-Hamblen High School, including AP English his junior year. In our classes, Greg Phils displayed a level of creativity, wit, and analytical thought that is quite rare among high school students. His writing and research skills are truly phenomenal – for his major essay project in AP English, he researched and wrote a remarkable study of visual imagery in the works of Edgar Allan Poe. Greg Phils wide-ranging intellect is such that he would be bored by most freshman- and sophomore-level Liberal Arts courses. He is ready to assume and excel in upper division classwork, and possesses the self-motivation to successfully create and execute an independent course of honors study. Greg Phils academic strengths are complemented by his demonstrated leadership skills – he was our band’s drum major for two years and served as Vice President of the Student Council and Editor of our high school yearbook. He is also very active in his church and in the Togo's Student Coalition. Please let me know if I can provide any more information to strengthen Greg's candidacy for the College Scholars Program. He has a very special spark, and I trust he will go far in making our world a better place. Sincerely, Greg Phils (signature hard copy letter) Greg Phils. We hope you found this article helpful. Ok, time for a big COI calculation tutorial!
First, there are online calculators available for this, but I wanted to do it by hand for visualization purposes. This calculator is super nice because you can choose how many generations you show and it tells you how many paths there were through each common ancestor. I used it to verify my calculations and I actually missed a few paths initially so I'm glad I bothered.
First we'll do an example calculation with the DustFern kits. This is all we need for them.
What COI really tells us is the chance of the individual being homozygous at a locus due to common ancestry. In other words, what is the chance that they inherit an allele from the same ancestor, through both parents at once?
We assume a 50% chance to inherit a given allele from a given parent. Here I'm using "A" as our example locus, and making Robinwing heterozygous. Brindleface has a 50% chance to inherit the A allele from Robinwing. If she gets it, then Ferncloud has a 50% chance to inherit it, and then another 50% chance to pass it to a given kit. Meanwhile Dustpelt also has a 50% chance to inherit the A allele from Robinwing, and then a 50% chance to pass it to a given kit.
By multiplying all these chances together, we get the chance a given kit inherites two A alleles specifically from Robinwing. That's (50%)^5.
But we should also account for the chance a kit is aa because of Robinwing, which ends up doubling our figure. It so happens that (50%)^5 x 2 is (50%)^4, so for any given common ancestor we can simplify the calculation by subtracting 1 from our exponent.
The Wikipedia article on COI explains this by drawing a loop. The loop must always step from parent to child (since siblings don't directly inherit genes from each other), and must ultimately go from one parent to the other (it's not great if Ferncloud is inbred, but it doesn't increase the chance for her kittens to be heterozygous - we only care how Fern and Dust are related). Our chance of inheriting the same allele twice from a common ancestor is then the 50% to the power of the number of members in the loop, minus one. I usually get that number by going from parent to parent without counting the individual we're doing the calculation for.
If the parents have more than one common ancestor - which is common if, for example, they're full cousins instead of half cousins - we need to run this calculation for each common ancestor, and then add them all together. There is an extra factor you can add if those common ancestors are themselves inbred, but by some miracle we managed to avoid that.
So we end up finding that the COI for the DustFern kits is 12.5%. This number's pretty bad - anything above 10% is considered fairly high risk for detrimental effects. Breeders generally consider under 5% to be the target number at which offspring have a low risk for health effects.
We know Moonpaw's parents are first cousins, but they're also related in a lot of other ways.
Fun fact, I tried to open the canon tree I keep in Illustrator to reference and it crashed! So the canon Warriors family tree is now too powerful for my iPad and I can only work on it on desktop. See if you can find all the loops before scrolling down if you want.
At first I actually thought Birch's situation wouldn't be an issue, but because Robin and Fuzzy also connect to the other side of the tree, we end up with four distinct loops for them:
Thrift - Ivy - Birch - Dust - Robin/Fuzzy - Frost - Bright - Dew - Bay: 9
Thrift - Ivy - Birch - Dust - Robin/Fuzzy - Frost - Bracken - Cinder - Sorrel: 10
Thrift - Ivy - Birch - Fern - Brindle - Robin/Fuzzy - Frost - Bright - Dew - Bay: 10
Thrift - Ivy - Birch - Fern - Brindle - Robin/Fuzzy - Frost - Bracken - Cinder - Sorrel: 11
Those are far enough up that they don't contribute much and I certainly wouldn't take issue if this was their only relation, but they still definitely do contribute to our final figure, which is about 11.8%. This puts Moonpaw at a high risk for health effects.
For those counting, Thrift and Bay are:
First cousins through Lionblaze and Cinderheart
First cousins once-removed through Cloudtail and Brightheart
Second cousins once-removed AND third cousins through Frostfur and Lionheart
Third cousins once-removed AND fourth cousins through Nutmeg and Jake
Third cousins AND third cousins once-removed in two different ways AND fourth cousins through Robinwing and Fuzzypelt
Half third cousins through Whitestorm
Sixth cousins once-removed through Daisytoe and Flashnose's parents
I categorically don't care about anything farther than second cousins but I find it really comedic just how out of hand the family tree has gotten.
Oh, and if you're wondering, adding Redtail and Brindleface as Sandstorm's parents into the calculator increases our figure to 12.46%.
genetics question for you: moonpaw is super inbred (both of her parents relate back to cinderheartxlionblaze and more generally Jake and thunderclan robinwing), so I was kind of wondering how that could/would affect her in terms of genetics and genetic mutations?
I think there is a somewhat common misconception that inbreeding causes mutation, but this isn't the case at all! The two main concerns with inbreeding are detrimental recessive traits and decreased immune function.
The first part is simple - most random mutations that occur either have no notable effect, or are detrimental in some way. However, in many cases those detrimental mutations are recessive, so when they first occur they don't really matter. However, if two individuals with the same recessive mutation breed, then their offspring may inherit it from both parents, and that's where the problems arise. Inbreeding vastly increases the risk of this happening - the closer the individuals, the higher the risk.
The other issue is immune function. The immune system functions partly in response to the environment, but genes for antibodies are also inherited. For the strongest immune system you want genes for as many different antibodies as possible, which means avoiding inbreeding. Lowered fertility, smaller litter sizes, and stunted growth in the kittens are some of the first signs of inbreeding having a negative effect.
If you know an individual's heritage, you can run calculations to determine the coefficient of inbreeding (COI), which can help quantify the risk of these effects. For animal breeding the figure commonly cited to keep the risks minimal if you need to line-breed to fix traits is 5% but of course the lower the better. I was going to do that for Moonpaw here but it's actually taking a long time because of just how bad her family tree is so I'll do that in a reblog.

How do anyone know when they are interacting with victim syndrome or victim complex. Someone who is a “Professional Victim.” Somehow, someone, somewhere, has been the worst person in the world to them, ( only referring to victimhood, not actual attempts at any form of abuse). They reincarnate the name of a disliked person anytime they need a boost, to act like they are better than, then ask you to look at the the brevity of their circumstance, in order to vaguely verify and legitimize their wrongdoing; but avoid any real accountability while absolving themselves of any real guilt. Please do the hard work to make yourself the best version of who you can be not who you wish or desire to be. That’s Dadtype talking points, in my daddy voice.
Society is set up for some to be damaged more irreparably than some others, and this is known, and uses the full weight of society to demonize someone else or someone that even looks like them and shared with them and gave to them (in other words: enemies in the camp, sleeping with the enemy, Judas types). Yes, that person will even turn on the person that looked out for them while not allowing the relationship to recede naturally. They don’t want the relationship to recede. In their mind they have a continuous “whipping boy” and they retail (or retell) that narrative, however rightly or incorrectly as possible, as often as possible; that is of no concern of theirs, and it will be displayed to anyone with ears who are willing to listen. Why, to garner support, I’d assume. I have a black mother and at this point, she unfortunately will be needing a dog, cuz she’s on the path to constantly being alone and yup that’s not good. She always expressed not wanting to “die alone” (her words, not my own) she might’ve wanted to work with someone before a certain time in life. So I’ve seen this before. [And when I tell y’all my grandmother was a hundred times worst, jus give me the nod on that., there are no prizes to be won at the end of the day; these are just examples I’m aware of and stating them to provide further context of how pervasive this structure is.] Then after all the harm caused by using a branch of the government that adds on to charges, like compound interest owed, and takes pride in locking up and throwing away the key (my mother never went to this extent tho) on any person of color for long periods of their life, in attempts to neutralize them.
This “Professional Victimhood, is a tactic of some of the most devilish evil present, why do I say that, because anger can be righteous and/or indignant in the search for justice. But God. Once we mind our own affairs and keep the business functioning, “keep the hand to plow so to speak,” eventually God will seek vengeance. Plus we gotta find a way, somehow to get the plank out of our own eye, so we can peer at things correctly. But the anger, in this case, is weaponized, the target is to use every advantage to decimate anyone identified as their opposition. Yet they are not in a war zone, they have never even seen real war, on a foreign soil or in the streets, not really. they are in the fine confines that was afforded to them by one’s reputation, work ethic and overall values.
And then lies, controlled opposition so to speak, enables a “professional victim,” so almost automatically these types are “professional liars” and they will proudly beat there chest (obviously this reference can no longer be understood as gender specific, smh tho) like gladiators spewing rhetoric such as “I did this on my own” or we built this country, but don’t dare sign up to work in the heated fields of slave labor (Tesla or Twitter). That can make a person despise you, you know, or at least have a constant paranoia around you, which is rightly justified. Once the general public finally realize, “the math ain’t mathing” is because they used a tried and true tactic to undermine another person,” it’s usually irreversible, the damage and harm done that is. Yet, one thing they left out, how many people can recollect a better version of the defamed, and they tend to course correct the “professional victimhood mentality” in that person, displaying it, temporarily, for example when Gayle brought up Kobe’s allegations on a case where he was never charged, but it was rehashed following the passing of the NBA legend, his precious daughter and colleagues and friends.
However this appears, “victim syndrome” gives accoutrements of status derived solely from the negative energy emitted. They do it on sports talk shows everyday. It reminds me of those “flintstones gummy vitamins” for someone with an appetite for such vitrial, they eat it up and feel it benefits them somehow. So I get it, America, why switch it, it works. But as I’ve told my kids on various occasions, nothing stays the same forever, change is constant. And if kids are involved, they too are in the glass house. The circumstances is that chaos built this house from the rubble of left-over material, the rubble. Yet, you can still build from the aftermath of a category 5 hurricane. The rubble serves as the initial material to build from. However, the construction of chaos is so pervasive, that it has adapted with the times. Ultimately, it’s veiled within the reconstruction process, and it very often resembles chaos again, but this time chaos unrestricted, and worst than before. Unfortunately. Protect your peace, especially this time of the year.

For the "Critical enjoying" anon, you'll have to wait a bit, as I finally put in the effort to actually make a Twitter account so I can specifically reach out directly to Martha Wells and ask her some questions about her works, and point of the previously -posted about transphobia and biological essentialism present in the works, and how to change it.
Because it boils down to this:
1) is a work bigoted because the author is deliberately baking that bigotry into their work to send a specific message, like Jkr's Antisemitism, transphobia, racism, etc?
Or is it because the author just genuinely didn't know about/ realize those elements were in their work and had already taken steps to correct their portrayal in later installments after learning more about the topic and becoming aware of more societal issues they never considered before?
Is there bigotry in a work because this is a belief the author strongly believes in and wants the audience to feel the same, like Miraculous Ladybug being written by 45 year old white men who have already shown themselves to be predators-- Winny drew and publicly posted porn of the main child characters to his Twitter with no repercussions and is still a party of this show as of August 2022,
,the entire point of Adrien's character is to brainwash young girls into thinking being the target of sexual harassment is romantic, the racism and objectification of Asian women in the show, etc,
Or is it because the creator simply didn't know that these problems and concepts even existed until someone brought it to their attention?
Like. Cis people do not go around thinking about gender, at all. Gender and sex to them are literally one and the same with zero distinction
They just accept it as a fact that Physical sex characteristics = gender, and it's not until they meet or have discussions with trans people or become aware of their struggles that they even realize they've had these preconceived biases to begin with.
I know this because I've had multiple conversations about being queer with older, cis, straight coworkers who were genuinely supportive of queer rights, they just have zero grasp on any of the basic concepts. And I mean zero. Zilch. Nada.
They support their trans cousins but use the wrong pronouns and say "identify as" until it's explained that "no, they don't identify as a male, they are a boy, and you should be showing your love and respect for him by referring to him as such even when you're not directly talking to him-- especially when you're not even directly talking to him, because that's the only way you're going to actually change your perception of him and actually use the correct pronouns and name for him when you're face to face, you have to practice and study pronouns, it's not supposed to be a pop quiz every time you see him so you end up fumbling your words and misgendering him and deadnaming him, all completely by accident because you don't think about it until you're face to face".
And then they realize "oh hey you're right, I never thought of it like that before. All of this is so new to me! I'll try to do better next time I see him."
Like. Most of the other trans people in the Murderbot fandom haven't even noticed the issue @rjalker first pointed out until it's... Pointed out.
Most people are literally not even thinking about the fact that all bots and constructs use it/its pronouns, because they're too caught up in the fact that characters are using neopronouns at all, so if the widely-trans fanbase hasn't noticed the issue, how do you expect the author to even realize its an issue?
Plus there's the fact that if you scroll through her Twitter account...She's literally reblogging All these news articles and posts celebrating queer Identities, encouraging people to vote the whole ballot to make sure anti-LGBT laws are not unanimously passed by republicans, encouraging everyone to help stop anti abortion laws being passed, raising up Native and Black and Asian voices in the right against racism, the most recent being that people are predicably being super racist, specifically anti-Native about the new Predator movie that came out August 5th 2022, aka literally just four days ago as of me typing this post.
Oh, and actively signal boosting queer authors whose books are actively trans and queer (which is why I am now going to see if my library's ebook section has "The Jasmine Throne" by Tasha Suri!)
TL;DR:
There is a world of difference between enjoying the works of Martha Wells, who has had some problematic elements in her work that have been course-corrected over the years as she learns, just like literally any random person off the street is not an immediate expert on oppression,
versus
people like the ML creators and JKR who are actively targeting their audience with bigotry to normalize it and show it as correct AND further profiting off their bigotry to go on and continue pushing their incredibly dangerous and harmful agendas.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Blogpost #8 OADs 3-5 The Kids Are All Right
In this story the kids compete in a field test that goes awry in more ways than one, and Rimuru meets more foreign dignitaries.
Tensura Season 1 part 2 left us with three big questions: who's the human stalker, who's the demon stalker, and most importantly are the kids going to be all right? This story arc addresses the latter two questions.
The students are now healthy, but after years of trauma followed by benign neglect no one knows if they can handle themselves in everyday situations. Also, when Rimuru is gone, will they have a supportive adult ally they can turn to in times of need? An annual field trip/exercise provides an opportunity for the kids to show they can stand on their own.
A select number of classes have to make their way to a training dungeon in a neighboring kingdom, where the first class to reach the target wins a prize. Rimuru kits them out with top quality gear, including his newest invention the DnD equivalent of a campervan; and hands them over to a sympathetic teacher to proctor.
Thanks to the campervan and their own skill and enthusiasm, Rimuru's students arrive first, impressing their proctor. Alas, the attention of their host has been occupied by his gravely ill wife, and kidnappers are hiding in the test dungeon. They try to capture the students, who easily defeat them, really impressing the proctor. But the leader turns out to be a minor demon in disguise, working on what appears to be some long-term grudge with the regional church. He knocks out the kids and is about to destroy them when the proctor sends out a desperate cry for help.
Her plea is answered by Shizue's demon buddy, who wants to pay off his debt to the dead Shizue by saving her students. He easily dispatches the minor demon, arranges a cover story, and threatens to eat the proctor if she reveals his involvement.
Later, after the others have arrived and caught up on recent events, Rimuru learns that the kidnappers stole and used a healing potion meant for the sick lady. He offers to replace it, only to find out that his host wasn't even sure it would work. His internal sprite informs him that healing potions need to be applied directly to the afflicted area, or the shock produced from a misapplied potion could prove lethal to a sickly individual. Rimuru asks to examine the lady, and with the help of his internal sprite, invents surgery to cure her, earning a ton of local brownie points to boot.
In the process we meet some people, do some light world-building, find out that Shizue's demon buddy has a sense of moral accountancy (the foundation of an understanding of morality), and most importantly take the measure of the students. It looks like they'll be able to handle themselves in most situations and they've made a sympathetic adult ally to help them should they need it.
As far as mid-century references go, we've got two this time -- campervans and internal medicine/surgery. While motorized campers and car-drawn trailers had been around since before WWII, they were built on heavier commercial truck frames. In the late 1940s Volkswagen developed lighter steel bodies for private vehicles and produced the first campervans (aka van, bus, or microbus, depending on the market) in 1950. I couldn't find a specific reference to camping in 1950s Japan, but countryside vacations have been popular in China and Japan for centuries (The classical Chinese/Japanese garden is supposed to be a miniature recreation of a favorite woodland vacation spot.) and modern Japan is known for its plentiful accomodations for campers, so it would make sense if there was an uptick in camping in the mid-century.
The other reference was to internal medicine and it's offshoot surgery. Traditionally Asian doctors considered poking around inside the human body to be far too dangerous, and with good reason. It took Western medicine 500 years of patient, gruesome, frequently unethical, and often illegal work to get the crudest idea of what was going on inside the body. Even with that knowledge, surgery only became reasonably safe and reliable in the 20th century thanks to a quartet of late 19th century inventions: anesthesia (1846), antiseptics (1867), the sterile operating room (1884), and X-ray photographs (1895).
While some Japanese physicians had begun to receive Western training as early as the 1830s, it was very expensive to travel to Europe to study it. After WWII, an American physician serving in Japan (whose name I forgot to write down and can't find now) raised money to send dozens of young Japanese doctors to study surgery in America, improving the availability of trained surgeons in Japan.
(That said, considering the strictures Rimuru's sprite gave, it seems a long-needled hypodermic would be more useful for delivering a dose of healing potion in the story than a scalpel. And neither delivery method would work against something like a small-cell cancer, especially leukemia.)
And that's all the OADs. Now I can start on Season 2!

ok so the crucial points here is that the undersiders are all more or less The Only People Each Other Have but this does not change that they all hold varying levels of hostility towards being emotionally vulnerable. thus, the ideal undersider to spontaneously burst into tears in front of is calculated by ability to be not-further-upsetting in the moment + ability to not make it a Thing afterwards. subsequently, not accounting for specific interactions:
rachel (post learning that you can give sad people dogs): will provide a puppy. would probably fetch tissues and/or water if asked. would provide no other attention nor commentary, which is ideal. it will have effectively never happened after the fact.
alec: would immediately attempt to foist off on a person he knows is closer w/ the crying undersider, but if that failed, would fetch tissues/water/snack of his own volition and maybe even provide an awkward back pat. far too weirded out to be annoying. would be internally interested + remember it but wouldn't pry during or bring it up afterwards. also voted most likely to specifically bring favorite ice cream or something instead of a generic snack, which is him projecting because he has no idea what else to do.
brian: would politely ask if there's anything he can do and bring tissues/water of his own volition. would not pry during, but would take it as a sign that he has to be an Even Stronger Leader Guy With No Negative Feelings Ever. would subtly bring it up during a meeting once or twice to "ask if they can handle [xyz responsibility]" but eventually get the memo to fucking drop it
aisha: would be genuinely well-intended, just unsure what to do and far too direct for comfort. would try to lighten the mood with an annoying joke and it would just make things worse. unless the person receiving it is alec then he would love it. would not think to materially Do anything for the crying undersider for a significant period of time or unless explicitly asked. semi-nosy, would casually reference it afterwards, quite possibly as a tease.
taylor: would be very mechanically helpful about providing tissues/water/etc. would think "well i wouldnt want them to ask if it were me" and just be entirely silent the entire time bc she forgot there were things she could say that weren't questions. wouldn't outwardly say anything but she would form Very Strange Opinions about it, and those opinions would permanently alter her viewpoint of the undersider in question. would also give off energy of clearly expecting them to compose themselves far faster than reasonable, and the provided aid would have the vibes of being intended to help make that happen.
lisa: would be Entirely Perfect about providing non-intrusive comfort in the moment. to the point where it would be fucking creepy to anyone but taylor because of how obvious it'd be she was using her power. and it would make them the target for Future Observation. not necessarily Future Comments. but she'd be fucking watching. and they would know.
best to worst for another undersider to randomly bust into tears in front of is, averaging out for unique individual interactions, rachel (post learning that you can give sad people dogs), alec, brian, aisha, taylor, lisa. wont elaborate.

This episode is about one shots and other stuff
For those unfamiliar with the term one shot, it refers to a type of release that's only one chapter in length, length here being anywhere from as little as 5 to even 50+ pages, some serving as pilots for serialization hopefuls and others meant simply to be serve as one off self contained stories… one shots
and other stuff… is… other stuff is basically just me fucking around in mine and other folks PTR/plan to read list.. getting back to the roots of picking up random stuff just because they look nice, similar or completely unlike stuff I've seen or just other works by a mangaka whose work I liked
Before I go any further I want to mention a few twitter accounts I've probably mentioned before and definitely will mention again, great accounts if you're trying to expand your palette and see the breadth of what the medium has to offer, they tend to highlight manga from all over, buying a bunch of the different magazines and everything, much respect to them
@mangamogurare, @wsstalkback, @KushiKuritikaru & @lewdsnreviews
now how I'm gonna go about this is the first half is for one shots read before and during this month and the second half is other stuff

4 - eye shield 21 (2002-2009) by Richirou Inagaki on story and yuusuke murata, 333 chapters
3 - animal land (2009-2014) by Makoto Raiku (zatch bell, zatch bell 2), 56 chapters
2 - Feng shen ji(2010-2014) by Jianhe Zheng, 182 chapters
1 - spirit circle(2012 - 2016) by Satoshi Mizukami, 46 chapters
other stuff now:
5 - prophecy (2011-2013) by Tetsuya Tsutsui
some dude with a newspaper over his face posts videos online declaring some punishment for some wrongdoer
this gains him attention from the indifferent, haters, adorers and ofc the police
the story escalates with the increasing social status of the targets along with the declared punishments dished out
pretty neat cast, good art, very satisfying conclusion
22 chapters (sort of reminded me of a shorter akumetsu?)
4 - ping pong (1996-1997) by Taiyou Matsumoto
not much to say except really really good, it's sports so you know winning and losing came up, goals, drive, expectations, limitations, all really sold by the art and the characters in how the players viewed the sport, opponents, themselves and etc.
sports manga, and I have to say, though I am a big fan of the sport, as in playing it, I don't think not being a fan of, or not knowing anything about PP/TT or any sport for that matter will affect how you feel about this or any sports manga
55 chapters
3 - about the movement of the earth (2020-2022) by Uoto
idk what else they would have called it tbh but this manga is about the quest of astronomers back in the day, to prove the earth moved, specifically that it orbited the sun, and the persecution they faced from the Catholic church in doing so
62 chapters about 58 translated on mangadex
not the greatest of art but seeing all these folks passing along their research to strangers down through time, the aspirations and beliefs of those who carried the torch knowingly or unknowingly, willingly or unwillingly was really rad
2 - die wergelder (2010 -ongoing) by Hiroaki Samura
if I had to be quick about it I'd say kill bill with extra pulp
basically the story revolves around 3 women and some missing suitcases originally meant to be used in a Yakuza deal
very sick character designs paired with very sick action, if
you've read blade of the immortal you know what I mean,
great cast, very dope dialogue, pretty enticing and unfolding story so far
31 chapters out
I have to say hiroaki writes some great women, right up there with fujimoto
1 - the fable(2014-2019) by Katsuhisa Minami,
hitman on vacation in the care of some Yakuza
stuff get a little out of hand with the Yakuza, getting a job to blend in, old enemies, new friends you name it
fucking hilarious
240 chapters
hm: wave, listen to me, magi of the library & the walking cat, a cat's eye view of the zombie apocalypse
then I get into a little part 2 just talking about some other other stuff

BnHA Chapter 304: The Council of OFA
Previously on BnHA: Hawks and Best Jeanist were all, “what up Todofam, we are here to apply for the positions of ‘son #4’ and ‘weird uncle’, respectively,” and then proceeded to insert themselves into the family drama without waiting for an answer. Hawks briefed Endeavor on the nation’s current status of “totally fucked”, promised to help him sort that out, and then asked him about OFA. Endeavor was all, “oh do you mean One For All, the mysterious thing that my intern Deku was apparently being targeted for?” and then we cut away, presumably before Endeavor could clarify that it never occurred to him to follow up on that, and Hawks was all “no of course not, why would it occur to anyone other than me to follow up on any of this super weird and ominously important shit.” Anyway so meanwhile Bakugou was all “LET ME SCREAM AT DEKU UNTIL HE WAKES UP” and the other kids were all “NO”, and then the chapter ended with All Might being all “I wonder what the vestige!me is currently chatting with Deku about.”
Today on BnHA: Deku drops in on the Vestiges, who are all “sup Deku, how do you like our fancy chairs.” OFA II and III are all “if you need us we’ll just be standing here silently in the corner pretending to be invisible and sparking endless discourse with our mere existence.” OFA IV is all “and now I will explain to you in a very convoluted way that you being quirkless was actually a good thing, since it means that you are probably not going to suddenly drop dead at the age of twenty. But also you’re probably going to be the last user of OFA for that very same reason.” Deku is all “that is wild. I’m just gonna stand here and stare at my hand.” Nana is all “so now that that’s settled could you please do me a small favor and kill my grandson for me”, because having just one topic to discourse about this week WASN’T ENOUGH, apparently. Thanks so much Horikoshi.
(ETA: okay so just a note before I start, this week’s RHA translation was a huge mess, so I followed up this chapter by reading a couple of other translations. the main one I’m using for reference is the one by @hanashimas, whose weekly posts I highly recommend. anyway so you’ll see a couple of ETAs in this post in places where the initial translation was off.)
how many layers of bandages did they wrap this poor kid’s fucking hand in omg
jesus Deku. are you holding onto a bouquet of flowers under that thing?? or a tennis racket??
omg yes, finally
is he reading these names off a teleprompter lol. and if so, what has Jeanist ever done to slight you, Deku? “god bless Kacchan and Aizawa-sensei and Todoroki-kun and everyone else in the whole wide world... except for Best Jeanist. fuck that guy.” actually this joke would be funnier if half of tumblr didn’t legit feel that way lol but anyway
OH MY GOD
I NEED TO HAVE A TALK TOO. ABOUT, OH, EVERYTHING
I got immediate KHR vibes from ALL OF THIS. this is seriously such a Vongola aesthetic. “let’s use the luxuriously cushioned chairs with the seat backs that are ten feet high, and arrange all of the handsome ghost people in a big circle” like come on
that said there are also some slight LoTR vibes as well. “bring forth the ring, Deku”
I like how Six is sitting there with his feet drawn up all casual, but with his arms inexplicably sticking STRAIGHT OUT IN FRONT OF HIM and dangling over his knees like he’s doing some sort of zombie walk
apparently the Fourth wasn’t a big fan of shoes huh
interesting that All Might is the only one who’s still faint/indistinct, and and that Two and Three are fully visible
(ETA: the rest of my speculation about Two and Three has been moved into a separate post, the better to focus on the shit that’s actually happening in this chapter lol.)
and lastly, interesting that all of them are talking now, except for All Might (and I guess the Second and Third as well). to the best of my knowledge Deku hasn’t unlocked the Sixth’s quirk yet, so I guess the quirks don’t really have anything to do with it
oh and it looks like Deku’s mouth is still covered. I guess that’s convenient for the vestiges since we all know it’s hard to stop Deku once he gets going. but on the other hand it’s very inconvenient for people like me who wanted to see some interaction. alas
so First says that OFA’s power has grown a lot in the last four months (i.e. since Deku unlocked Blackwhip), and now the vestiges can communicate with each other as well as Deku
so even when Deku’s not around they can all just chill with each other. this is such a weird thing to me lol. like it’s cool, don’t get me wrong, but it’s also strange as hell to know that you’ve got eight other people hanging out in your head spying on everything you do and having conversations with each other about it. it would be like if Dark Shadow had someone to hang out with other than Tokoyami. good thing you weren’t triplets, Tokoyami
First says that it’s become easier for the vestiges to interact with Deku ever since TomurAFO barged into the OFA Domain back at Jakku. huh
(ETA: apparently this is because AFO forcibly pulled out OFA’s power when he was trying to steal the quirk, so I guess that makes sense.)
okay thank you Banjou for addressing this concern which I initially brought up as a joke, but which was apparently real enough for you to reassure Deku about
“don’t worry, even though we’re awake and hanging out inside of you at all times, we’re definitely not secretly watching and making fun of every single thing you do” hmmmmm
(ETA: “not that you could do anything about it even if we were, since you’re probably going to be the last OFA holder ever!” I don’t trust anything this asshole says lmao.)
OH SHIT??
YESSS DEKU now you can hold them accountable for all of their bullshit! because I do not doubt that there will be bullshit lol but let’s see how that goes
oh damn
well okay then. you didn’t have to stand up and walk over to him and loom all threateningly like that but okay sir
this guy has kind of a Kimimaro vibe to him. remember? that bone-growing guy from Naruto? except I’m pretty sure he had eyebrows. and wasn’t twenty feet tall. speaking of which, that explains the chairs
why are you wearing only 3/5ths of a shirt
lol what
someone’s gonna have to explain this to me. is he just redundant or something lol, or is he strangely poetical or what
(ETA: apparently HE’S MAKING A PUN omg. I immediately gained +10 love for him lol. also it flows a lot better in Japanese. this is one of the things Caleb is usually good at, so we’ll see what he does with the wordplay.)
omg the hermit theory is true!!
“I’M NOT WEIRD, IT’S SOCIETY WHICH IS WEIRD.” lol whatever you say buddy. also love how Banjou tried to give him a big hearty slap on the back but Hermit Boy was not having it lmao
IS HE TRYING TO CAPTURE HIM WITH BLACKWHIP
AND ACTUALLY, NO, SIR, AS A MATTER OF FACT, WE ARE NOT AWARE. SO SPILL!!
?!!?
okay my first response was LOL ARE YOU SERIOUS, THAT’S THE BIG SECRET!? -- and then it hit me what the significance of “died from old age... AT AGE FORTY” meant. at which point it was like “!!!!!” and then “OH, SHIT”
(ETA: there’s also an Iida joke here somewhere but I’m just too tired to make it.)
oh my god oh my god
did he somehow get a copy of the coroner’s report or something? like how does he even know that he died from “old age” as opposed to any number of other natural causes? ??
but anyway. so this is the quirk singularity coming into play then I guess. but then how come All Might is still alive and ticking?
(ETA: so this is one example of where this week’s translation is a mess lol. apparently the Fourth explains here that he didn’t know what the fuck he died from until All Might researched it. and it turns out there actually was an autopsy lol so there you go.)
so Fourth says he held OFA for eighteen years, and since he knew he would never be strong enough to defeat AFO on his own he basically just spent all his time punching rocks in the woods and training to power the quirk up
oh shit
is he implying that his body literally fell apart?? like that’s how he got the scars on his face? -- IS THAT WHAT KEEPS HAPPENING TO TOMURA, THEN. oh shit
DUDE
so you’re telling me that this quirk actively shortens the lifespan of anyone who uses it?? and my little boy here has had it now for a year already?? fuck me, I have immediately have a TON of thoughts about all this but let me save it until he’s done with his explanation
THANK YOU, DEKU
right?? how come All Might didn’t die then. even after he got injured. please don’t tell me he actually is dying still and is just being slow about it because I SWEAR TO GOD
what does this mean??
so what you’re trying to say is you all have NO FUCKING IDEA how long Deku’s gonna be able to hold this quirk before he SUDDENLY DROPS DEAD?! five generations ago this dude was able to hold it for eighteen years, and then four generations later All Might was able to hold it for thirty-odd years or so, and now Deku has it and you all have no clue which way it’s gonna go? actually this makes it sound like it really wasn’t OFA that killed the Fourth at all and you guys are just really bad at forming hypotheses. but since you’re making a big plot point out of it I guess it must be true
and don’t think I didn’t notice the part where you said you didn’t have OFA very long and then “died while fighting”, Firsto. I want to hear more about that. specifically who you passed the quirk onto before your death
and yes, if we are agreeing that OFA was the cause of the Fourth’s death, then the conclusion on this next page is the natural one to draw
so that’s a bit of a relief then, because Deku is quirkless too. so it means he won’t be able to hold OFA forever (and will probably have to find another quirkless person to pass it on to), but at least he won’t be randomly dying out of the blue next Tuesday or something
oh my god now he’s talking about OFA and AFO and user consciousnesses and all sorts of good theory stuff but it’s so much exposition. you’re really gonna make me read all this lol
wait what. why would All Might being quirkless have anything to do with the presence of his vestige in OFA Outer Space Party Land
but Deku is also quirkless and he’s clearly visible and chatting with you guys. so what gives. like how much of this is verified fact and how much of it is you guys just shrugging and making stuff up lol
SERIOUSLY, GUYS
BUT DEKU IS ALSO -- you know what, never mind sob. none of this shit makes any sense but whatever
(ETA: seriously, this all seems like an awful lot of speculation on their part. for Deku’s sake I sure hope they’re right.)
FSSKDJFLSKLKJLKJL ALL MIGHT IS FIFTY-FIVE?!
lol that’s a full ten years past my closest estimate, wow. but this pretty much confirms his age now at last! or at least confirms it within a couple of years, because we know All Might and Nana met when he was in middle school, and he presumably had the quirk by the time he took the U.A. entrance exam. so yeah. gonna go with fifty-five
so they think that because All Might was quirkless, OFA was better able to adapt to his body and became his true quirk, as opposed to being an extra quirk that stacked on top of the one he already had and overwhelmed him. ties in back to the whole “AFO used to bend people to his will by forcing quirks on them” thing, as well as the “Noumus are all mindless because of the strain of having multiple quirks”
Two and Three are really ruining the serious vibe of this scene here lol
they look like they’re doing the counting for hide and seek
and is this Deku talking now? I was about to get mad at First for implying that quirkless people are somehow freaks, as opposed to “normal” people jdslk
so in other words, don’t go giving it to your best friend all casually for shits and giggles, Deku. even if it would make a really cool climax for a movie. well shit. maybe that’s why they were so quick to nope back into Deku’s body afterward
so First says that because quirkless people are becoming rarer and rarer, the fact that All Might just happened to stumble upon Deku is “nothing short of a miracle.” which, yeah, that was definitely a stroke of luck there. being quirkless saved his life. but being quirkless is also part of why he was chosen in the first place, and we’ve always known that much
“in other words, kiddo...”
looks like there was some hurried clone stamp usage going on here lol. but props to RHA as always for putting this scan out so fast, especially given how exposition-heavy this week’s chapter has been
“anyways, that was the main topic” ARE YOU SERIOUS. there are like ten other topics imma need you all to get to here, people
(ETA: seems like this is a mistranslation; the line should actually read something more along the lines of “and now for the main topic.”)
FFFFFFFFF
“ENJOY YOUR CLIFFHANGER THIS WEEK.” dskfalkjlkjwlgkjl you really went and dumped this discourse on us yet again. fucking...
(ETA: forgot to mention, but as several people mentioned, this seems to be another mistranslation -- rather than asking Deku to kill Tomura as though it’s doing her a personal favor, Nana is asking “will you be able to do it.” in other words more of an “are you capable of doing it” type of thing. which is a very reasonable question to ask given that Deku is, well, Deku.)
anyways, and the answer is obviously going to be “no” of course. this isn’t going to end any differently than when the previous Avatars all told Aang to kill Ozai. but I guess it means we’re in for a fun conversation next week
so Nana looks pretty grim here though (nothing at all like the person who once taught All Might the importance of saving people with a smile), and I’m wondering if this means she believes that her grandson is already beyond saving. as in killing him would be a mercy, as opposed to him continuing to live with AFO bending his mind and body to his will. except if that is the case, I think she’s underestimating Tomura’s own will. and definitely underestimating Deku’s will to save
and also, just... I’m so fucking sick of AFO screwing the Shimura family over, honestly. this is exactly what he wanted. well fuck you, guy. you don’t get to have what you want. go out there and save Tomura, Deku. for his sake and for Nana’s. give them some hope. do your thing, boy. can’t wait for your big speech all about it next chapter lol

Hm, lets refer the the lore in one of my previous posts:
1) Clearly not, let’s continue. (For frame of reference, I’m 23, not that you really needed that information, but if it helps you)
2) Fun fact: the internet has been full of liars and deceivers since it’s creation, Tumblr has never been the exception, we’ve been knew. The term “Take with a grain of salt” can never be more prevalent and in need of usage than on the internet specifically in this day and age. However, I don’t know about you, but I’m inclined to believe that harm has been done to several individuals in some capacity when suicide is mentioned. That’s, you know, a basic form of human empathy.
3) Alright, this part I’m genuinely not showing my ass when I say I’m confused on which blog you’re talking about that is sending the hate—like, mine, sheheals, or some other secret third option that I don’t know about. Ima yap either way, but I’m just letting you know that now before I go back to showing my ass.
I don’t know where you got the idea that I’m sending hate—because this whole time I’ve been shouting from inside my little echo chamber “DEATH THREATS AND HARASSMENT ARE NOT APPROPRIATE FORMS OF COMMUNICATION” this whole entire time. I’ve been saying it since “new to the internet!baby me” could form thoughts, because guess what—that’s ALSO what was said to me when I was learning online etiquette. Not just fandom etiquette: online, too.
And idk if you know this, but I don’t talk to no one that I’m not a mutual with. So anyone saying “this is that Livin-Like-Larry account sending me this hateful message”, I can safely say it ain’t me, cause I could not give less of a fuck to actually do such an asinine thing. Lets be real and ask “why would this one guy, who is so against sending hate and has been saying “don’t send unnecessary hate to people you can very well and very easily block from your feed” then go on to send unnecessary hate and a hate campaign to people I do not know? Where’s the logic.
I do not control the people that read my posts, however they feel about it after reading it, that’s their prerogative, and the most I can do is make sure to keep from getting too heated about something and say something that could hurt someone without intent—because that’s my online responsibility. Will I succeed every time? No, and it does pain me that some of my words would lead to being hurtful to some people, but I can’t control that, because I don’t control people, and I will never claim to. That’d be irresponsible, and I am not a god.
If you’re talking about sheheal sending hate—again, I do not control what other people do on their blogs and I have never claimed to. Do I condone it? Obviously not, because what have I been saying this whole time? You know what they DO have on their blog that soapskneebrace and everyone else involved DONT have, because they deleted it? The post that created this whole mess in the first place. The silly-goofy lighthearted image post that Myka made because she was feeling silly-goofy at that time. You know, the same one that they all hounded on and called her a racist over because it didn’t have Gaz on it?
I will continue bringing it up because it was the catalyst for this entire shitshow. That’s how easy it was to have a whole section of this community to tear someone apart. That’s how easy it is for words to influence people, whether you’re cognizant of the effect your words have or not.
And while we’re at it, don’t think I didn’t notice that everyone involved with starting this whole situation are also STILL being hateful and specifically targeting sheheal, when they could very easily just block them themselves. It is that fucking simple, but they are refusing to for whatever reason they want to justify it as. If they truly wanted this whole thing to be over and wipe their hands clean of it, they have every means to do so but they don’t. Why.
4) it’s very easy to come to this conclusion, actually. From the way you speak later on in your paragraph, you know just how evil, vile and vindictive people can be, and it’s only amplified when you’re sitting behind a screen. The unknowns that sent all those death threats and ptsd triggering content to Myka knew what they were doing. They did it consciously and deliberately, and enjoyed it to some degree cause why else would they keep doing it? The unknowns that send it to soapskneebrace and everyone else they know that they’re close with in this situation also know how evil it is to send content like that, and they rejoice in it. Because they enjoy harming people.
The blog hellbent on revealing sheheal for being a liar instead of just letting the situation sit as it is has a sense of Justice that is admirable, but misguided. Think about it, for just a second, I beg you, because what else do they have to gain from being “correct” about sheheal being a liar, like they claim? They get nothing but the satisfaction of being right, and the ability to say “I told you so! Don’t mess with me cause I can easily expose you for what you are XD ✌️”. If they really wanted the situation to end, they’d end it by blocking sheheal, Myka’s account, everyone making mention of it, but they don’t.
5) If you actually read anything I said beforehand, you’d know I never claimed they made Myka kill herself, and it is another instance of irresponsible usage of your words on the internet that can have a negative impact on someone’s online experience. Do you actually understand the magnitude of that statement? The kind of target you’ve put on me just by insinuating that I somehow blame soapskneebrace for what has happened to Myka? The extra target you’ve put on soapskneebrace as a result, too, by the way, to insinuate that they had an involved hand in that themselves, when this whole time I have been saying the exact opposite, and instead have been saying “Your words have more impact than you know, sometimes, and to use buzzwords so loosely and so frequently about things that aren’t even correlated to those buzzwords is heavily irresponsible.”
From my first post, if you care. “You are not the cause of someone’s death, unless you are actively there and doing it.” Your words, however, have an impact, and will always have an impact. Never once have I said or insinuated one of the other blogs killed Myka, because that is an irresponsible use of my words online, and would not only have dastardly consequences, but also be factually wrong.
Continued from my first post: You are the ring master of your own online stage, and you are responsible for your own words. No one else is to blame for what you say other than yourself.
From my second post: Use. Your. Block. Button. More. Often.
That goes for everyone involved. And I mean everyone. Block me. I don’t care. It doesn’t hurt my feelings. In fact, I implore you to block me if that makes your online experience better. It’s yours to experience, not mine. You don’t need to interact with me at all. That is your choice. I don’t care if you don’t block me, either. We are strangers. You don’t hurt me by speaking to me, but if I am somehow hurting you, then for that I apologize, and I wholeheartedly expect to never be spoken to again by you and respect your need to protect your own peace. Because that’s the point I’m making. Curate your own online experience, instead of expecting others to cater to you.
You control your own experience. Your words have an impact. It can be good or bad, it’s up to you, but you don’t get to ignore the impact your voice makes in the world, good or bad. You have a responsibility to be conscious of your words and how you say them to people online, just like you do in real life.
Your own brush with debilitating mental health decline is a horrible experience. I wish you the best going forward and that you never have to go through anything like it again. I truly mean that. I can relate to you on it, even (also clearly failed my own attempts). But I have also been in Soapskneebrace and Myka’s shoes. I have also been on the internet long enough, and with zero parental supervision to know when people lie, when they’re truthful, but also to know that you will never truly know every side of a story and sometimes it’s best to protect your peace on it.
I have been on both ends of this kind of debacle. I have said horrible things in my past and as a child just because I thought I could, or I was mimicking someone I saw on the internet, and because I thought the words had no meaning, until I was shown to have hurt the people I spoke to that way in irreversible ways. I can never take that back, and I can never make amends with those people on it, thankfully not because they passed, but because they’re not obligated to forgive me. And I don’t expect them to.
I have also been like Myka, moreso than I have been like Soapskneebrace. I have been sent horrible messages, pictures, videos, told to my face how horrible of a person I am for something that did not at all warrant that type of reaction. I have been told very disgusting and invasive things by people just because that wanted it to hurt me, and have been treated like actual dog shit for liking a headcanon and making memes that someone else didn’t like that weren’t harmful at all. They were lighthearted and meant to bring and spark joy. There is no excuse for that kind of behavior, from anyone.
I took it upon myself when I truly began to understand what being on the internet entails, and that was to grow up and learn how to speak to people responsibly and come up to them first with respect—if they do so first. I will not be made a wet blanket or a punching bag when someone tries to talk to me sideways, especially not from someone who comfortably does so from behind a screen. It is your job to speak with respect and be responsible of your words.
Death threats, hate speech, vitriol, and a warped sense of Justice and comeuppance are not the way to go about this to end this situation and to just acknowledge what has happened. Driving people away from the internet is not the solution either. I am inclined to believe Myka has passed from unknowns taking it upon themselves to torment and mentally abuse her to the point of committing because she believed that that was her truest, only escape from it, because it has happened so much in this community that it has become expected at this point. This community is losing the plot of what matters from that situation which is to BLOCK PEOPLE, TAGS AND ACCOUNTS and curate your own experience and to just LEAVE PEOPLE ALONE.
Both sides of this fucked up shitshow are not doing anything to solve it or prevent something like this from happening in the future—which should be the intended goal, but it’s clearly not.
Whoever is in charge of the sheheal account is being looked at. They are being perceived. Clearly. They know what they’re doing, and if not, if somehow they’re not seeing their actions for what they are, that’s on them and they should be called out for it. The same for the blogs trying to “catch” the sheheal account in some sort of slip up. They are also being perceived. They know what they’re doing. Both groups are showing their asses and creating a divide that doesn’t need to be here, and they should honestly just block each other and call it a fucking day.
But, I don’t control people. I can have thoughts. I can have opinions on this matter, just the same as you and everyone else that chooses to look at my blog and follow me. That’s their choice, just as much as it is yours and mine.
So, if you’re done also showing your ass, I’m gonna go ahead and pull my big boy pants up and stop showing mine. Read entire posts and absorb what they’re really saying before posting another half-baked response on the internet.
fyi nobody died https://www.tumblr.com/fulltacs/753588191361171456/its-a-miracle-yall-codslut-rose-from-the?source=share
And you take that from someone who is clearly trying to create an even bigger divide than there already is by trying to “debunk” a suicide attempt in a clearly distasteful and disrespectful manner? Something I was able to pick up on after only being shown their blog just now? Be so for real right now.
I’ll not claim to know who any of these people are, I don’t really care to know them past what they show on their blogs and how they talk to people on either “side” of what’s been happening. I don’t even know Myka, but I know people who have been in her shoes, and have been spewed the most acidic and disgusting things all because they had an idea that someone else didn’t like. That’s the point of the discussion right now, not a “war of the ages” type of bullshit that’s clearly racking up right now.
Really ask yourself “What does this person gain from being right?” Nothing, other than a sick sense of superiority. An “Aha, gotcha!” sticker.
Bragging rights.
Ask yourself “Are they wrong?” too, while you’re at it. Cause there still seems to be some confusion on the state of Myka to a majority of this fandom, albeit for good reason—and it’s because she’s dropped off of tumblr due to harassment, bullying, death threats and messages meant to trigger a ptsd response from so called “fans” of a video game. All moves pointing to possible suicide attempt, which is very clearly the most likely outcome of this. Her dip into obscurity has been both to protect her state of mind as much as she can at this point, and to never return to the internet in any capacity. Death is absolutely on the table.
It doesn’t matter if there’s an “I’m right, you’re wrong” argument to this—people have still died and been driven away from fandom spaces due reckless online behavior, and that’s the entire point that’s being made, that you have clearly missed entirely. Grow. Up.
It’s not an issue of “people have thin skins nowadays to a few jabbing comments”, cause its not “just a few comments”—it’s user inability to understand that you have control over how you talk to people, and if you have a dramatic switch up to how you talk to people in real life (I.E., with basic human decency and respect) verses how you talk to people online (I.E., utter vitriol and sewage waste way of speaking to people), then once again—for the third time now—you are a child and your internet access should be placed under parental controls.
Fuck outta here with that behavior. Behavior like this is why fandoms like CoD now-days (which only grew into such a large fandom as it is right now within less than 5 years), ones that rise and fall so quickly into fame and obscurity that no one can have fun in, is because people like you become so concerned about a nonexistent pissing contest about fuck all.

Is Twitter’s censure of Donald Trump while he was still a President a violation of “free speech” principles and democracy?
After Twitter has a close review from Donald Trump's account, Twitter decided to ban Donald Trump from its platform. I think this action did not violate the principles of free speech and democracy. There are few reason to support my point of view.
First reason, I think there is no free speech “right” to incite violence. There is no free speech argument in existence that suggests an incitement of lawlessness and violence is protected speech. Quite to the contrary. Nineteenth century free speech proponent John Stuart Mill argued the sole reason one’s liberty may be interfered with (including restrictions on free speech) is “self-protection” — in other words, to protect people from harm or violence.
Additionally, incitement to violence is a criminal offence in all liberal democratic orders. There is an obvious reason for this: violence is harmful. It harms those who are immediately targeted and those who are intimidated as a result of the violence to take action or speak up against it.
Secondly, I think there is no free speech “right” to appear on a particular platform. There is also no free speech argument that guarantees any citizen the right to express their views on a specific platform and this is ludicrous. If this “right” were to exist, it would mean any citizen could demand to have their opinions aired on newspaper and, if refused, claim their free speech had been violated.
Besides, Twitter is a private company, not a government. The First Amendment was designed to prevent Congress or the states from blocking people’s freedom to express themselves. In fact, you could argue that it protects the right of a company such as Twitter to decide for itself what content to allow. The government can’t push a private company to publish something it doesn’t want to publish, said John Morris, who has served in leading telecommunication roles in two presidential administrations and is now a fellow at the Brookings Institution. Moreover, Twitter is a platform that can regulate its content as it wishes, in accordance with its own terms of service. Morris said there are no laws that restrict the ability of platforms or websites to regulate their content. And if Trump doesn’t like it, he is welcome to go to another platform.
What does exist is a general right to express oneself in public discourse, relatively free from regulation, as long as one’s speech does not harm others. Therefore, I think free speech may be harmful against people or things if it used in a wrong way, so censoring some of the unsuitable content to show on platforms is acceptable.
