Hey Mae! I love your work sm. I’m submitting a request because right now I’m dealing with some really crazy friend drama and while I’m mostly handling it okay it’s still a lot! Your fics bring me a lot of comfort- especially your James fics- and I was wondering if could do James comforting reader because of friend drama.
Totally okay if you can’t and thanks for listening either way!
<3 M
Thanks for requesting M, hope your drama is causing you a bit less stress these days! <3
James Potter x fem!reader ♡ 838 words
“And when I asked her she said she wasn’t upset, but I could tell, you know?” You’re sitting with your hands trapped under your thighs on the kitchen counter and your back against the cabinets as James makes a sauce for your pasta on the stove.
Your boyfriend makes a dissatisfied tsking sound. “Upset in general or upset with you?”
“Upset with me,” you clarify, sighing. It’s been an exhausting afternoon. “She gets like this sometimes. She’s all huffy and snaps at me whenever I say anything, but if anyone brings it up she’ll say she’s fine. I don’t know why it always seems to be me.”
James makes a sad face, kissing you on the cheek. “M’sorry, lovie. Then what happened?”
“Then, we were just, you know.” Your fingers wiggle underneath your thighs, wanting to fidget with something, but you’d put them under there in the first place to keep from picking at your hangnail. It’s not unusual for you to come home from a hangout with your friends eager to gossip with James, but today’s weighing heavily on you. “We were just walking around, trying to find somewhere to eat. Everyone else was acting like everything was fine so I was trying to go with it, but any time I talked she’d snipe at me like I was being so annoying. And I didn’t think I was doing anything wrong.
“After a while, one of the girls asked if she was alright, and she said she was, but then almost right after that I was talking to someone else and she got really pissed off with me—I don’t even remember what it was, honestly, something about me asking a dumb question—and I just—I completely snapped.”
James looks over at you, eyes widening slightly behind his glasses. You look down at your lap.
“I don’t know, I don’t think any of the things I said were wrong, but I feel—” Your voice tightens and thins, tears pressing at your eyes. “—really bad for raising my voice like that. And now she won’t speak to me.”
“Oh,” James sets down his spoon, “baby.”
“Uh oh,” you joke weakly. James only calls you baby when he’s feeling particularly sorry for you.
He leaves his sauce to simmer, nudging your legs apart and stepping between them. His hands land on your lower back, his head on your shoulder. You slip a hand free from under your leg to cup the back of his head, fingers sinking into downy curls.
“I’ve made things awkward for everyone now,” you say in a small voice. “She’s always angry, but I was the one who shouted. It’s my fault there’s conflict.”
“I really doubt anyone sees it that way,” says James. His palm that’s higher up on your back is rubbing up and down consolingly. “Anyone who knows you knows that you’re not one to shout. But we’re all bound to get a little riled up sometimes, and by the sound of it you’d just reached the end of your tether, lovely. I think your friends will understand that.”
“I don’t know.” You began this conversation hoping to keep up a light front, but you’re starting to sound terribly glum. “I know they’ll all be upset if we don’t make up. I think I need to apologize.”
“Why not her?”
“She won’t do it.”
James sighs, leaning back so he can see you and cupping the side of your neck. His thumb strokes your cheek. “If you think that’s what you need to do,” he says frownily. “I just want to say for the record, though, that you haven’t done anything wrong. She sounds like she deserved to be shouted at.”
You feel a little bit lighter after one of his world-class hugs, your lips tugging upwards. “Oh, yeah? And that’s your totally unbiased opinion, is it?”
“Totally,” he swears, lifting three fingers in a salute. “Scout’s honor.”
You let out a little laugh and pinch him on the bicep, where there’s ridiculously little yield. James grins and retaliates by catching your hand, holding it captive as he leans forward, kissing you soundly.
“You were never in boyscouts,” you mumble against his lips.
“Could’a been.” He kisses the corner of your mouth, your chin. “I like to consider myself an honorary member.”
“Pretty sure that doesn’t count.”
“Oh? And how would you know?”
James’ face is up close and personal with yours, eyes flirty and hand placed intentionally high on your thigh. If you blinked, your eyelashes would be centimeters away from brushing his glasses.
“You’re distracting me,” you say.
He smiles, half sheepish. It seeps through your warming skin. “It was working, too. Let me keep trying?”
You roll your eyes, but you know James can see the grin you’re fighting to suppress. “Sure, fine.”
“Excellent.” He dots a quick kiss on your chin and squeezes your thigh before stepping back in front of the stove. “Get the pasta out for me, please, lovie? I can hardly ravish you on an empty stomach.”

Danny & Constantine, Orange, Butterscotch Ripple
@imbreonix Prompt fill set #4
It started out as a joke that turned into an actual event: Bring Your Sidekick To Work Day. It sounded absurd, of course it did. The Justice League was hardly work and certainly not a social club, but once it had been said people started to actually think about it. More and more of the heroes were taking on mentorship rolls for the next generation. While the heroes, of course, tried their best to provide what their mentees needed, they were still grown, experienced heroes and their sidekicks were kids.
Kids who lived a life that most could never understand.
Eventually it have been talked about enough in passing and over rushed meals and before meetings that it ended up on the agenda.
“Robin believes it would be beneficial for the younger heroes to know others in the same positions as themselves,” Batman had explained, as if that answered anything. The Big Bat wouldn’t even clarify who Robin was.
But there they were, Bring Your Sidekick To Work Day. It actually was a pretty nice event with snacks, drinks, and several enthusiastic sidekicks. It turned out Robin was Batman’s sidekick.
“Partner,” Robin insisted boldly, whenever the term sidekick was used within his hear range (which was disturbingly good).
The kid was the very opposite of Batman: bright, personable, and always in motion. Flash was more than a little concerned how quickly Robin and Kid Flash seemed hit it off. “They’re plotting something.”
“Hn,” was Batman’s reply, though he was watching the two whispering sidekicks too.
All in all it was a cheerful success.
It made John’s skin crawl. He jiggled the unlit cigarette in his fingers. He didn’t do social events, not outside of bars, and he really, really didn’t want to be here.
“We can just go back to the House,” a small, nervous voice suggested hopefully from behind John.
That was the thing, though, he wasn’t here for his own sake.
“No, we can’t,” John said with a sigh.
“We really can, though. We haven’t even talked to anyone. I bet they haven’t even noticed we’re here—”
“John! I did not think you would be attending,” Wonder Woman said as she approached, a smile in place. A good chunk of the founding members trailed after her.
“Fuck.”
“Yeah, well,” John said with a little shrug. He didn’t admonish the kid for cussing, he didn’t have a leg to stand on there, but by Superman’s puzzled face the Big Blue had clearly heard it. “Figured I had better bring the kid.”
“The kid?” Hal repeated incredulously.
John reminded himself he really shouldn’t punch his teammates.
“Yeah, the kid,” John said. He stepped aside to reveal Danny who had been hiding behind him. “Geist, Justice League, Justice League, Poltergeist.”
“Um, who, Constantine?” Flash asked, sounding nervous.
John looked to his right, which for all appearances, was an empty spot of air. “Seriously, kid?”
“Sorry,” Danny whispered.
“It’s okay, kid,” John said, holding back a sigh. The kid was sensitive to that sort of thing, so John had been trying. (He still messed up plenty, but he was trying.) John looked back the Justice Leaguers and shrugged. “Ghost. Visibility is like that sometimes.”
“Ah,” Diana said with a sage nod. John admired the woman for how nothing seemed to phase her. She simply looked to where John had been looking and smiled. “Hello, Poltergeist. Welcome to Bring Your Sidekick To Work Day.”
“Partner!” a kid dressed like a damn traffic light called from across the room where he was talking to who was clearly a mini Flash.
“Oh,” Danny said. (It was clearly weirding out some of the heroes to hear Danny but not see him.) “I’m not… John doesn’t let me help that much? I don’t know if I count as a sidekick.”
“That’s because last time you tagged along you went intangible and fell through a bridge, kid,” John grumbled and then immediately felt bad. “You know we’re working on it.”
“Yeah,” Danny mumbled.
John couldn’t see Danny, not any more than the others, but he could picture the way the kid would be scuffing his toe on the floor, head down as he rubbed at the back of his neck.
John sighed. “Ain’t your fault kid, powers take time to master.”
“Robin,” Batman called.
Immediately the tiny traffic light was literately bounding across the space to stand next to Batman. The kid smiled up at the Big Bat like the man had hung the moon.
“Yes, B?”
“This,” Batman said, nodding to the empty space, “is Poltergeist. He came with Constantine.”
“Oh,” Robin said. He spun to face the spot of air and held out his hand without hesitation. “Come, Kid Flash and I are— um,” Robin shot Batman a look, “talking. You can join us! I bet you will be really useful!”
Flash mouthed the word ‘useful’ with a terrified look on his face, but no one actually said anything while Robin just stood there, smiling, with his hand out. And then Robin’s grin impossibly widened, his hand closed around nothing, and he took off across the room.
“…anyone else worried about that?” John asked after a moment.
“So worried,” Flash said.
“Hn,” Batman added.
“Right then. I need a glass of shitty punch to spike,” John said and abandoned his teammates to find the refreshments. Thank the gods, the fuckers, for hip flasks.
-
“I live with a ghost now, Bats, you’ve got to up your skills if you want to sneak up on me anymore,” John said before taking another sip of his much improved punch.
Batman stepped up into the corner of John’s vision, which felt like such a Bat thing to do, so John felt the placement was very purposeful. John wouldn’t complain, it let him watch Batman without taking his his eyes off where Danny was sitting with Robin, Kid Flash, and Wonder Girl. Danny was pretty see through, but he was slowly becoming more visible the longer he spent in the company of the other teen heroes.
“How long have you had him?” Batman asked.
John snorted. “That’s what you go with? Not how it works to fuck a ghost?”
Hal and Aquaman weren’t as quiet as they thought they were, but maybe that was on purpose. Maybe they had wanted John to hear. He just hoped the kids hadn’t. He might not have a clean mouth, but even he had limits.
“He doesn’t have to be your blood to be your son,” Batman said in that certain way of his.
It had John finally glancing over at Batman. It was a lot to admit and John hated to be on uneven grounds. “How long have you had yours?”
No one would ever believe him, but John could swear that Batman almost smiled.
“Nearly five years.”
John hummed and took another sip of the punch. “Only six months, not even. And he’s not my son. Kid deserves better than me as a da.”
“They always deserve better,” Batman said, his voice a low rumble that John swore he could feel in his battered bones. “We just have to try to be better.”
“Yeah, well,” John said with a bitter chuckle. “I’m not you, Bats, I don’t think I have better in me.”
“Yes you do, you’re here, after all,” Batman pointed out.
John swallowed and looked back the kid, his kid. Danny was almost solid now. His white hair floated as he threw back his head in laughter at something Robin had said.
“Yeah… yeah I am.”

AN: So. So. This has gotten away from me. I blame Moku. So much blame. I can't promise I'll continue it but there is... there is a good bit of plotting TO continue it. It would be after I get done with City Pigeons Bleed Green though, as that's my current family feels fic.
If it gets continued we have a John/Bruce tired dads with issues slow burn fuck buddies to lovers, Danny and Dick being friends (and family), canon divergence, Tim joins the Bat family early, Bats with magic (and the world should fear them), and Alfred's judgemental eyebrow.

Head canon that all the bats are actually pretty decent cooks but only under very specific circumstances.
Bruce: if Alfred is anywhere near, he'll burn water. He can however cook for 15+ people, if he tries for any less he ends up overusing salt/sugar/spices and the food ends up inedible. Whenever Alfred has the day off, he secretly cooks for his kids while pretending he's just reheating Alfred's dishes. Curiously, they all usually find excuses to show up at the manor when Alfred isn't there, even Jason.
Dick: will not cook for himself even if he has to eat raw pasta. However, if one of his siblings is coming over or they ask for a snack he can make mostly healthy food with the most random ingredients that no one else would have put together. It's usually pretty good.
Jason: can't cook with people in his kitchen. He needs space. The exception is Alfred. Tim has taken to hiding in random places in the kitchen to see how long he can stay without Jason kicking him out. His best spot is top of the fridge, almost beaten by the time he hid inside a floating cabinet and it ended up caving to his weight and dropping him on top of the sauce Jason was making (luckily not yet on the stove).
Tim: only cooks when the recipe has precise measurements of each ingredient (mg/ml instead of cups/tbsp). Proceeds to completely ignore his recipe and ends up with a completely different thing, usually opposite of what he was making, still tastes like he had used the recipe for the final thing.
Cass: cooks based on vibes only so most of the time she's the only one who can eat her concoction, mostly using ingredients that require her to dance and contort around the kitchen at the beat of whatever music she's listening to or just whatever. That being said, her food improves drastically if someone's in the kitchen with her, out of her way but watching, cause then she bases her measurements and ingredients in body language and her proportions end up being incredibly accurate.
Steph: can make anything that requires batter and make it be the best thing you've ever tasted. So waffles, crepes, pancakes, some cookies, cake, etc. Anything other than that will end up on fire. Funnily enough, she can also make incredible fillings that have an uncanny resemblance to some of her previous ashen attempts.
Duke: can cook in the dark without making a mess. He's also a pretty decent cook in general but he somehow leaves piles of dirty pans/dishes whenever he's seen cooking, no matter how simple his dish is.
Damian: can only cook with the recipe or someone (Dick specifically but sometimes Alfred) guiding him. His favorite food is the one traditional from the league, specifically the recipes Talia gave him when he went to Gotham. He wants them to be exactly as his mother intended so he won't deviate from the recipe in the slightest. It's special to him. Just as it's special to cook with Richard and getting to learn his favorite foods from before Bruce took him in. He might or might not either write the recipe after each time he cooks with Richard and ask clarifying questions like "what do you mean measure with your heart? How many tablespoons is that? No, I didn't see, you covered my eyes and told me to 'trust the process'"
Bonus: Alfred has the skill of spoiling the food of people he deeply dislikes while making the rest of it completely perfect for everyone else. Even if it's all cooking in the same pot. He's gotten so good at it he doesn't even do it consciously anymore and forgets he's doing it. It still gets the point across though. Interestingly enough, each of the bats partners have gotten shitty food from Alfred at least once (either shovel talk style or because they did something mean to their respective bat or wtv), they can't even say anything cause all the bats will just look at them like they're being crazy because Alfred could never while Alfred smirks at them from the opposite side of the room.

Here is an ask to replace the disappeared ask. What are you tired of people trying to convince you is great?
I neglected this ask for a while because I didn't have a good answer to it, and now my computer is suffering from panic attacks (a screaming fan) so I've not much to do on this Sunday morning apart from post on my phone and feed my dogs so you're going to have to forgive me for my insufferably-typed and ill-proofread phoneposting, Peri.
I was going to type this big screed about how fucking tired I am of people squealing excitedly about War, and this glorified ideal of noble underdog warriors fighting a lopsided guerilla conflict against a great enemy spectre. But that's a little too serious and I got a little too verbose. Now that it's out of my system, let's talk about something else.
Fast-food pizza sucks. Domino's, Papa John's, Little Ceasar's, Pizza 73 (do they have that in America?), whatever: it all sucks. If you want an injection of bread, cured meats, cheese, and oil, then you could get better portions and more sensible prices by buying cheesy breadsticks. Domino's even has cheesy bread that you could get pepperoni on!
I'm a pretentious aesthete who was raised on "wholesome, home-cooked" food by my mother. While this has good consequences for my general health, it has had disastrous consequences for my emotional well-being where if I am given enough oven/microwave meals (by my dad, I should clarify) I begin to go insane. This also means that whenever I need to order out or want to order out I will go to an actual restaurant, far more expensive than being satisfied with cheap pizza. The exception is Tim Horton's on a good day, sometimes A&W, and even then I am annoyingly specific about what I like and don't like. Still, I stand by my opinion that you're not getting pizza for green peppers and olives, you're getting pizza for the aforementioned carb-foods, so cut out the middleman and buy cheesy bread for less.
Humourous side-anecdote: My mom loves chocolate, like I do. However, in my youth she liked baking these "healthy brownies", which were sort of brownie-shaped """pastries""" consisting of like, quinoa flour, a bit of cocoa powder, no white sugar, and maybe a pinch of brown sugar. These totally sucked ass if you approached them from any perspective of dessert but I would accept them in my lunch as they were something to chew on. Sitting amongst my friends one day in seventh grade, I asked if anyone wanted the "healthy brownies" mom had made, which one of my friends eagerly accepted. She took one bite and spluttered dry, unsweetened cocoa powder abomination crumbs everywhere.
My mom is a good cook otherwise though, except she doesn't salt her pasta water and overcooks porkchops.

a little bit more about little autistic!jihyo in my au:
physically she is a baby. she's 5 years old! mina and jeongyeon adopted her when she was three. her biological parents couldn't afford to take care of her financially even though they loved her
the first day at mina and jeong's house, hyo was extremely scared. she refused to sleep in any rooms other than the kitchen on a cot and sleeping bag because every other room smelled too strongly of mina's perfume (which she loves the smell of now) or was too loud.
hyo slept in the kitchen for about a week and if she got too overwhelmed, she'd climb into one of the cabinets where it's dark and safe.
originally, hyo was nonverbal. the only word she'd ever say was "food" and she'd say it even if she wasn't hungry because she didn't know how to tell her mamas if she was upset or tired.
hyo's biological parents couldn't afford to test her but they knew she was neurodivergent in some way. once hyo was comfortable enough with mina and jeong, they got her tested and diagnosed.
hyo's diagnosis didn't worry her mamas and it really helped them understand their new baby girl better.
over the next two years of having hyo, she grew extremely attached to them. she's physically the age and size of a five year old, but mentally she hovers around 2-3.
some days hyo will be extremely talkative, but most of the time she'll communicate with her mamas by drawing or pointing to things.
whenever they go out to eat, her mamas bring a tablet so it's a little easier and faster to communicate to get hyo the food she wants.
i have a lot more set up for this au but i just wanted to share some things to fill in any gaps :) if you're curious about little autistic!jihyo, don't be afraid to let me know! i love talking about her 💚
also for more of a clarifier, i write about this au where she's physically a child and separately little autistic!jihyo in general where she's an adult but she regresses.

Greetings to all you call the midwife fans. I wanted to give some clarification on the poll I created about Miss Higgins. I’ve spent a long time thinking deeply on how I wanted to word this in a way that makes my opinion clear in a meaningful way without sounding mean.First of all, thank you to everyone who gave thoughtful and detailed responses to my poll and their insights on the character Miss Higgins. I wanted to clarify that my dislike of this character in no way is me trying to discredit Heidi Thomas and all the beautiful things she’s created. This will however provide some criticism on how she’s written and how I think her character could be improved. Before my poll, I genuinely thought Miss Higgins was a character that was intended to be disliked. I thought the point of her character was that she was constantly being made fun of to the point where no one liked her. Obviously I was wrong in that assumption. I understand my generalization of just calling her annoying and rude in my poll was an overstatement made when I thought that was obvious. Since it isn’t obvious, I want to go into my reasoning for disliking this character.
A lot of the reasons I don’t like Miss Higgins actually boil down to the fact that I think her character has shown little growth in her time on the show. Someone on my poll commented that she was only mean to Shelagh at the beginning of her time on it because they had disagreements about record keeping. I don’t see this hatred as something that is only limited towards her first few episodes, or something that is only directed towards record keeping purposes. To be fair, a lot of their disagreements do seem to be record keeping based, but I don’t think Miss Higgins handles these nicely. There’s a polite way to ask for your policies to be respected, and then there’s what she does. She’s constantly scowling any time Shelagh wants to look at records, rudely telling her that her way of handling the Asian records were ineffective, and scowling when anyone asks for Shelagh’s organizational help(she got so upset when Sister Julienne went to Shelagh for help typing up and printing satisfaction questionnaires). Shelagh isn’t stupid, untrustworthy, or bad with records. She was Dr Turners receptionist for years before Miss Higgins came along. Miss Higgins also seems to have a disdain for Shelagh and Patrick’s relationship. When Patrick gave Shelagh flowers after seeing the Sound of Music, Miss Higgins practically scowled at them. In season 13 episode 1(Spoilers I guess) Miss Higgins looked pissed off just because she walked in on them being all cute as they ate lunch together. It feels as though whenever Miss Higgins sees them being a normal couple doing cute couple things, it makes her angry. Here’s where the growth element comes into it. I was expecting after a while of her being on the show of someone talking to her about this issue she seems to have with Shelagh. I was expecting that Phyllis, or maybe even Timothy, was going to pull her aside and ask her what her issue was with Shelagh(and also her relationship with Patrick) I saw an excellent fic once where this happened and Phyllis figured out that Miss Higgins was judging them because of the rumors she heard years ago about Shelagh being a nun and the improper things that might have happened between her and Patrick. I saw another fic where Trixie pointed out to her how hard Shelagh was working raising 3 young children(and obviously Timothy but he’s older) at the same time as she’s working so hard as a nurse and it changed her whole perspective and attitude towards Shelagh. A conversation like this would certainly be uncomfortable, but it would provide growth.
Another opportunity I feel they missed out on showing growth was when Miss Higgins stayed at Nonnatus house. She seemed to make everyone uncomfortable and had several habits that made her hard to live with. I wish a conversation had taken place where Phyllis pointed out to her that she was being horrible. Demanding your friends make you special meals(which you then complain about), taking long baths when there’s a roster, and forcing everyone to listen to your instruments when no one asked to listen to them are not polite roommate behavior. Her music is another opportunity where growth could be shown. She seems to have no concept of peoples lack of interest in her musical abilities( when that’s even obvious to the girl with autism that’s embarrassing). Phyllis really seemed embarrassed by the fact that Phyllis wanted to do a history of woodwind instruments for the talent show and yet at no time did they show her having a conversation where she voiced that concern. These conversations are really hard. Trust me, I’ve had more than enough hard conversations about social cues and polite behavior as someone with autism. It’s never fun. But those conversations would provide growth to a character that I don’t feel has changed very much in the time she’s been on the show.
Now let’s talk about things that don’t excuse her behavior. I don’t think her being raised in India changes how her behavior should be seen. Do you know who was also brought up in India? Chummy. While being a little socially awkward, Chummy doesn’t have any of the same issues with being a nice, polite, courteous human being. I’ve seen a lot of people say that her personality flaws can be looked past because she grew up in India. Growing up in India doesn’t give you an excuse to be a jerk. The other excuse for her behavior I’ve seen is that she’s just a quirky character that a lot of people in this fandom can relate to. Being quirky also doesn’t excuse you being rude. We should hold everyone to the same standards of being polite and kind people no matter what. Other characters in the series get backlash for their objectivity rude behavior. Chummy had Sister Evangelina to(sometimes unfairly) call out her behavior and push her towards growth. When Patsy was first on the show, she was shown to be not very conscious of the feelings of the mothers she was treating. She was a bit brash and wasn’t very comforting to them. She was quickly told that her behavior wasn’t great, and it was uncomfortable, but she learned and grew from that situation. That’s what I really want for Miss Higgins. For someone to push back against her behavior and cause her to change and grow.
In conclusion(I legit feel like that’s such a high school English paper thing to say but it works) I feel like Miss Higgins actually has potential to be a decent character, but she has too many flaws that have been overlooked and remained unchanged to the point where it’s made her an unbearable character for me to watch in Call the Midwife. I hope her character can improve, but I’m honestly loosing hope of that at this point.
I hope that this all made sense. I tried so hard to keep this concise(obviously I failed at that but I have lots of opinions) and well thought out. I really don’t mind if anyone likes Miss Higgins. It’s simply a difference of opinion that I know I can’t change. I just really wanted to show why I feel the way I do.

Mr crabs I have an idea 🕊💡💡✨✨✨ sort of!..
I’m honestly just taking on what the previous anon said about Gen’s darling matching her energy but in a diff way. I’ve been thinking of it in general for some time but how about a yandere darling. BUT hold on. Not a yan.darling who’s crazy for their yandere but for someone else.
as I already see that going around tumblr and not nearly as much as a yandere darling who’s crazy for someone else and will kill the other yandere if they even so much as try to touch them/their darling. And I’m not talking about just crazy but high up in a power scale society wise like maybe the queens descendants like cousins and such. Since strength wise doesn’t compare to status in my eyes tbh
anyways take this as how you’ll like -🌪️ after a days long vacation
oomf... OOMF.. TORNADO OOMF. HOW I MISSED YOU AND YOUR ENLIGHTENMENTS 🙏🙏🙏🙏
oomf actually i was so excited hwne i read this sorry. your genius is one i will never be able to ever reach your level of intelligence oomf... I RLLY RLLY ENJOY THAT IDEA ACTUALLY. It would be so interesting to see the craziest oc of mine (Gen though i never had to clarify) react to their darling themselves being as crazy (but better) for someone else. Gen is crazy, and would be crazier in this scenario.
Youre just like her! just as obsessive, possessive, loving, and carign!!! likeee so obv you should obsess over her right? WRONG. you end up completely in love and obsessed with another lady of the court, a baroness who is unmarried and you know shes unmarried because guess what, you're a fucking royal, a bit low on the heir to the throne chain but a royal nonetheless! and a Chief at that! you have to do something with your life, you're only the queen's cousin nothin special!
As Chief of Noble Affairs, essentially overseeing all the nobles of Xelera, making sure they all do their jobs but also provide them with the materials to do their jobs so and so forth. Which led to you and Gen meeting, you never liked her, had an off feeling from the very beginning and tend to ignore her, an impossible feat as she consistently chases after you and tries to engage in inappropriate behavior whenever you two are alone.
You once reprimanded her at that point, using your power and position against her "Leave me alone Chief Gen, or dare I utter a word of this wonderful behavior to the Queen? Shall I show her how you act around your superiors? Back off and do not approach me from now on." Since then she did actually leave you alone for a while! But Gen did watch over you from afar trying to ensure your safety and other Gen-like acitivites.
Soon she witnesses you falling for a certain Baroness, Lady Naya of Hossenberg. Becoming overly obsessed, trying as hard as you could to make sure that Naya ends up in your embrace, going to so many different lengths so she'd reciprocate. Stalking Naya and bombarding her home with loving gifts and poems, you became insane over this simple woman!
What was so attractive about Naya? Gen is strong and hot, Gen has power, Gen has the titles, and Gen is infamous for her war strategies. And Naya is a girl Gen used to bully when she was younger! Weak and pathetic, and dare Gen try and threaten Naya? Somehow you'd know, and threaten Gen doubled, threatening everything under the sun for her to fear you. How silly, Gen fearing someone else, but she will back off, only because she doesn't want to be beheaded anytime soon. She will get you, one way or another.

Chapter Three: Would It Really Kill You If We Kissed?
AO3 info one two three four five six seven epilogue
All my work is 18+.
I know you don’t belong, I know you  don’t belong to anyone. No, you can’t be tamed, love. And maybe I was wrong, maybe I was wrong for this, but you feel like the sun on my face.- All Time Low, Favorite Place
She was dreaming again.
Lately, most of her Tim-related dreams were sexual in nature, and this one was no different. Of course, she could only really recall what was said and the actions they took rather than any actual sensations.
Her head was bobbing in his lap as he sat on one of his couches, her tongue laving over the barbels in his shaft.
“Fuck, Lea,” he grunted before pulling her mouth off his dick and into his lap. “Lemme have you, sweetheart.”
“Okay,” she giggled.
“C’mon,” Tim muttered, aligning himself with her. “One last time, baby. C’mon.”
“One last time?” she questioned. “What’re you talking about?”
“Won’t get to do this anymore, even in dreams,” he breathed as he pulled her down onto him. “Fuck, that’s it. Bounce on it for me.”
She was too distracted by his body and general presence to question him further and did as she was told, and—like always—only really dreamed of the words between them.
“I love you, Lea,” he groaned into her mouth. “I love you so much.”
“Dream-Tim is the best,” she told him with a grin. “Wish I could have this all the time.”
“It’s me,” he insisted. “It’s me, baby. I’m real. You can have this whenever you want. If you want this, just fuckin’ tell me.”
“Don’t distract me from how hot you are with your dream-fantasy shenanigans,” Lea told him, running her hands over his bare chest.
“Dammit,” he moaned. “Fuck it, I’ll take what I can get.”
The dream faded away, morphing into his bedroom, where they lay tangled together amongst his sheets.
“I love you,” he murmured. “I love you more than anything in the world.”
Flushing despite the knowledge that it was a dream and therefore not the slightest bit real, Lea buried her face in his neck. “You’re a dork even when I dream you up, huh?”
He hummed, but didn’t respond directly. “You won’t forget me, will you?”
She pulled back, looking up at him with a frown. “What’re you talking about now?”
“When I’m gone,” he clarified, “I don’t want you to forget me.”
“What, you mean when you’re traveling or something?”
Even in her dreams, he still gave her that sad smile. “Or something, yeah.”
“No, I won’t forget you,” she told him slowly. “Though you should know that since you’re in my head.”
“Good,” he murmured, kissing her again. “I’m not in your head the way you seem to think, though.”
“Eh.” She waved him off. “Dream semantics.”
Tim looked at her for a long while before quietly asking, “Will you miss me?”
She blushed, burying her face in his neck again. “I always miss you. Whenever you’re not with me, I miss you.”
He wrapped her in his arms, kissing her temple.
“Why’re you asking me weird things, anyway?” she wanted to know.
“Don’t worry about that, sweetheart,” Tim said. “Just let me hold you.”
“Uh.” She blinked. “Okay then.”
His arms tightened around her, and he held her closer.
Tumblr media
It was late at night in the middle of June when she got his text.
Her phone buzzed from where it sat on her bed, and she went to pick it up.
Tim
Come to the park with me ?
She frowned, wondering why he was randomly asking her to meet him somewhere so unusual. Still, she didn’t have anything else to do. She wasn’t visiting her mom back in North Carolina until the following month.
When?
He texted her back almost immediately.
Now, if you can.
She was always excited to see him, and she hadn’t seen him at all since May, too, so she squirmed happily as she replied.
Okay! See you in a bit!
Lea managed to get ready in record time, pairing the ruby heart necklace and earrings he’d gotten her with a white ruffled top and bubble skirt from Saks.
She shot him a quick text that she’d see him in a bit, and then she skipped out the door.
——
She never got tired of hanging out with Tim. He was most definitely her best friend by that point.
He was sitting on a bench in Central Park when she found him.
“Hi,” she said with a grin, plopping down next to him on the bench.
“Hey,” he greeted, and then he looked over at her, turning towards her in the process, and she saw…
What the fuck?
He looked… well, he looked dilapidated, frankly. He’d always kinda looked nineteenth century orphan-esque, but now… now he looked starving. Starving and very, very sick. He was skinnier than normal—which was saying a lot, ‘cause he was already thin as a rail—and his cheeks were sunken in. His eyes were sunken, too, with dark circles under them, and his skin was even more pallid than it had been when she’d seen him last.
“Tim?” she asked tentatively. “Are you okay? You look like you should be in the hospital, not hanging out with me.”
He smiled at her slightly, his eyes sad. “I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.”
“You look sick,” she pointed out, brow furrowing in concern.
“I know,” he said with a soft, barely-there chuckle. “Sorry you gotta see my sorry ass looking so awful. I’m sure it’s unpleasant.”
Lea shook her head with a frown. “No, I’m always happy to see you, I’m just worried.”
He sighed, leaning his head back against the bench.
“Don’t worry about me. Told you that before.” He sounded out of breath, almost.
“If I looked the way you do right now, would you worry about me?”
“Of course I would, sweetheart,” he muttered. “No way around that.”
“Then it’s hardly fair of you to not expect the same of me.”
He hummed thoughtfully. “I suppose not.”
“And wouldn’t you want me to tell you what was wrong if I was sick?”
Tim was silent for several moments before softly repeating, “Of course I would.”
“Then you should tell me, too, don’t you think?”
He sighed. “I’m sick, Lea.”
“Are you, y’know, getting treatment?”
Another sigh. “It’s terminal.”
Her mouth fell open in shock. “Terminal as, in, like— you can’t mean you’re—“
“I’m dying, yes.” He said it with such nonchalance that she wasn’t even sure if he was serious, but he didn’t laugh orsay he was joking, so he had to be serious, right?
Still, she hopefully said, “You’re joking, right? C’mon, tell me you’re joking.”
He looked at her sidelong. “No, I’m not joking. I asked you to come here so I could see you amongst the flowers when I went.”
Her eyes widened. “You’re dying now?!”
He nodded slightly, a small dip of his chin. “Wanted to be next to you for it.”
“But— but why?” she asked brokenly. “Why are you dying? When did this happen? Why me?”
He stared at her with those sad eyes. “I’ve been dying since I met you.” She opened her mouth to speak, and he added, “It’s not your fault, and I wouldn’t change a thing if I had the choice. I’m happy I got to meet you. I’d do it a million times over. I just wish I’d had more time with you.”
“I don’t understand,” she said tearfully. “I don’t know what I’ve done to… to make you so sick, but—“
“No point in dancing around it, I suppose,” Tim mused. He watched her for a moment, considering. “I’m an incubus.”
She blinked at him. “A— a what?”
An exhausted smile. “An incubus, darling.”
“A demon who feeds on…” she trailed off, too embarrassed to say the words aloud.
“Sex and orgasms, yes,” he confirmed with a tired sigh.
“Oh, well, um…” She recalled the dreams she’d had, the inexplicable pull she felt towards him, his strange ability to disappear. “I kinda figured you were a fae, but that… makes sense, actually.”
He raised an eyebrow. “You believe me?”
She shrugged. “You can just poof in and out of places. Plus, the dreams—“ she cut herself off.
His lips split in a slow, lazy smirk. “The dreams? If I had more time, I’d insist you tell me what you remember from them.” Lea blushed bright red, and he laughed softly.
“You’re very sick, Tim,” she said instead of answering him. “If you need, uh…” A gulp. “Someone in order to get better, then I know there’s countless people who would jump at the opportunity—“
“Won’t work,” he cut her off with another sigh.
She blinked at him. “What? Why? I doubt anyone would even mind the whole life-sucking issue.”
“Suppose I should explain this to you.” He exhaled. “We don’t take anyone’s life force. I don’t even know where that idea came from. We actually prolong the lives of those we feed on.”
Her eyes widened in surprise. “You do?”
Tim nodded. “It’s possible for a human to survive indefinitely if one of us is feeding on them regularly. We’re symbiotic rather than parasitic.”
“Well… you should have no issues finding meals, then, if they have nothing to fear.”
“Oh, I don’t doubt that.” He looked away from her, gazing out at the trees surrounding them. “Finding a meal isn’t the issue. The issue is it no longer has any effect. I’ve tried plenty of times.”
“No effect?” she asked, concerned for this strange new friend she’d made these past few months. “So what, you’ll just starve?”
He hummed. “It would seem so.”
Tears prickled at the back of her eyes again. “I… I don’t want you to die, Tim.”
He turned his gaze to her once more. “I don’t mind it, really.”
She furrowed her brow. “You don’t want to live?”
“Of course I do,” he nodded, “but I don’t really mind the idea of dying.” At her shocked expression, he chuckled. “I have lived a very long time, Lea. Death doesn’t scare me.”
It was several seconds before she recovered from her shock. “And just like that, you’re fine with it being over?”
“Well,” Tim chuckled, “I’d certainly prefer to stay alive, but…” he paused, his eyes warm with affection as he gazed at her. “But if I’m going to die, I want it to be while I’m looking at the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen.”
“Is that the real reason you asked me to come out with you today?” she asked. “So you could flirt?”
He smiled softly. “If you like.”
His breathing was shallow, and his voice was breathless.
He was going to die. He was very close now.
“I don’t want you to die, Tim,” she said again tearfully. “Why… why can’t you eat? Is there anything I can do?”
Another sweet, gentle smile. “Nothing I could ask you for.”
Her heart leapt with frantic relief. “So there is something I can do!” Eager to help, she clasped his hand in hers, not really registering that his breathing evened out at her touch. “Tell me. Tell me so I can help you.”
“Alright,” he agreed reluctantly, his voice a bit stronger than it had been before. “If you really want to know, I’ll tell you.” He took a deep breath. “Most human women can’t have the child of an incubus. They’ll waste away if they try. But there is an occasional woman who can. These women are our mates, intended for a specific one of us, should they accept what we have to offer.”
“Which is?” she prompted, though she had no idea how this could relate to her at all.
He stared at her thoughtfully before saying, “Safety, wealth, happiness, children, more pleasure than they can comprehend, and an eternity of worshipful adoration and love.”
Jealousy towards his mate—whoever she was—swirled in her stomach, acidic and burning, her hand tightening around his unintentionally. “But why does that mean you can’t feed?”
“Once we meet our mates,” Tim began, “we can’t feed from anyone else. If they don’t accept us in time, we will starve.”
“So she rejected you?” she asked, shocked.
He shook his head. “I haven’t been rejected. I haven’t said anything about it until now.”
“Then you should tell her!” Lea insisted, standing up abruptly. “Tell me where she is, and I’ll tell her myself. I’m not letting you die, stupid. I—“
“Lea.” He grabbed her hand again. When she looked down at him in surprise, his expression was resigned and fearful all at once. “It’s you. You’re my mate.”

Tourettes Awareness Month, day 8!
I forgot how time works and let days 6 and 7 pass wo a post 😅
Today I think I'm just going to talk about my family and how they react to my Tourette's.
Soft TW for some ableism, but it was from ignorance not malice.
⚠️Everyone who has TS or tic disorders will have different experiences, this is just mine.
Grandma
I want to preface this with the fact that my grandma didn't mean anything by this but it was kind of hurtful right after I got diagnosed. When she found out she said "oh I know what that is! There's this guy who comes to the shops and stomps around and chants dirt words under his breath, [grandma's friend] said he has that. Does this mean you're going to start cursing all the time now?"
Now I cursed like a sailor already, but never around my family, ESPECIALLY never around my grandma, and as a newly diagnosed 17yo, that made me really anxious.
Later one when I developed my "duck-duck" tic the first time she heard it she asked "was that what I think it was" and I clarified it was DUCK not FUCK. For the next week or so afterwards, anytime she heard it she'd be like "oh its still good, okay". I made some kind of comment (I don't remember it now, but knowing me I made a joke of it) about how I'd be upset if my happy tic was vulgar, and she stopped mentioning it.
Also when she found out sudden loud noises trigger tics (and saw me ticcing myself dizzy bc thunder), she would always tell me to come over if storms were too much for me, since we live nearby, or she'd text to make sure I was okay in big storms.
Grandpa
So my grandpa has had a lot of growth in the past few years regarding mental health and disabilities, and a lot of it is because he's been around me more. He was often the one to drive me home when I had tic attacks at work. He used to pressure me a lot about not being able to drive, but after seeing how twitchy I get with bad drivers, he kind of dropped it 😅.
I also ended up talking to him about the trouble I had trying to get disability, and later that day he sent me some resources. He also started asking and trying to learn more about my TS, although his timing wasn't always great as he'd ask me during an attack so I usually couldn't answer right away.
Also when I mentioned that I had a good day while at the disability evaluation and should've gone on a bad day he said something like "Yeah, sitting here talking to you like this I'd never know, but I've seen it when it get bad, and it's rough".
Mom
My mom isn't diagnosed but gets tics, it's usually either echolalia, or a response to mine. She mimics the generic Samsung text tone (but hasn't changed it), and will answer some of my tics with something kind of related. A "duck-duck" from me might get a "goose" from her, my "ding" causes her to "dong", my "bing" gets her to "bong".
Whenever I get ticcy around her she tries to help, either distracting me, getting me somewhere I can calm down, or reminding me I don't need to apologize or suppress if she notices me doing that.
I'm running out of energy so just doing these ones for now, might do a part 2 with my Aunt, Cousin, and Baby Cousin. For now though thank you for reading, and feel free to leave an ask if you have any questions 😊
Also forgot to mention if you check out the fentics tag below there's more stuff on tics and Tourettes that I've posted or reblogged.

Hey, you!
This is the official blog for Mauville Fix Shop, the city's BEST electronics repair store for Pokédex devices, PokeNavs, Pokégears, Pokétches, and other devices! If you're in need of a fix for your tech, head on over to our store at 310 Violet Street today!
...
OK, now that my manager is satisfied with the draft, I can work on the actual post! I'm Nick Docomo (he/him), age 19.
I'm the designated account manager for Mauville Fix Shop's Tumblr blog since I'm already on here... a little bit much. Moving along, I also work on old-model Pokénav repairs part-time. Primarily, though, I'm a student at Mauville Technical College majoring in electrical engineering!
To top off my resume, I'm training to be the next Mauville gym leader under Swell Shock Wattson (look, he set that as his Trainer's Eyes title and I've gotta roll with it). My team right now is:
Day (♂) the Heliolisk: My starter and current strongest team member, Day is an incredible attacker when the sun's up! Very friendly out of battle, too.
Bhaskara the Heat Rotom: It would watch the world burn just out of curiosity of what happens after. I respect its commitment to science regardless. After being given a smart oven from Wattson (who incorrectly predicted it would talk), Wattson gifted it to me.
Amp (♀) the Raichu: I caught her as a Pikachu 2 years ago on a field trip to the Safari Zone. She's a crafty little Pokémon, which is sometimes good for me but not when she pranks me, the team, or anyone else really.
Ohm (♀) the Flaaffy: An old man working at the Day Care on Route 117 just gave me an egg 4 years ago and Ohm was the Mareep that ended up hatching. She's on the sterner side of things, but not hostile.
Jet (♀) the Fletchling: I noticed that as a Fire type specialist I have a lot of Electric types so I searched for a member of the Fletchling to tip the scales back to Fire. I caught Jet very recently, but her battle-hunger’s already on full display, especially when she wants to battle Day.
Other facts about me:
I'm 5'8", have black hair and brown eyes, and slightly tan skin.
I'm nearsighted as the planet is large. I don't like it, but it's not too bad when I have my glasses.
Screw Macro Cosmos, I support the right to repair!
I'm a member of my college's second-best trivia team as well as the college's best Voltorb Flip player!
Mauville Fix Shop has been offering free 1-year warranty on all Pokédexes repaired for students at our shop! (See I'm promoting the store, can't fire me for THAT!)
OOC: Hi, @punjab-official here on my debut Rotomblr blog! My pronouns are he/him (although any are fine), and I'm an adult. Like I said in the blog description, I will NOT be tagging for unreality, so here's another notice. If there's anything I missed that you need me to clarify, just send an ask or message!
This blog is fairly canon-flexible in that Nick will be able to interact with many other blogs’ canons, but Nick generally isn’t aware of whenever a person is a canon-outsider (in terms of Nick’s universe). About Nick’s own canon, the awakening of Primal Groudon and Kyogre hasn’t happened yet, and as such Nick may not take Teams Aqua and Magma seriously or be open to accepting them.
Whenever Nick says he’s a Fire type specialist, it’s for a type-specialty swap for Muse Mixup Madness (he usually considers himself an Electric type specialist).
I’m generally accepting of Pelipper mail, but on days that’s not the case I’ll post so here. In-character reblogs will be tagged as “ic reblog” and/or “nick reblogs”, and posts that will be relevant for a later story/post or will reveal an important aspect of Nick’s character will be tagged as “blog development”. “nick’s answers” will be for in-character answered asks.
And I have never once used the wrong blog. Ever. Totally not.

Hi :) Who are your top 5 st characters?
i've never been so excited about the opportunity to create a numbered list in my life
i feel the need to clarify some things before i answer, the first of which is that i'm really bad at having favourite anythings. if you put a dog in front of me, i'll go "oh my god, dogs are my favourite!" if you put a cat in front of me, i'll go "oh my god, cats are my favourite!" if you put a bunny in front of me, i'll go "oh my god, bunnies-!"
you get the picture. animals, shows, films, music... favourites generally just aren't a thing for me. i have to lie whenever anyone asks me what my favourite colour is because i just don't have one
HOWEVER. there is ONE character in stranger things that i would actually class as my "favourite" the way other people mean it. so after #1, this is really gonna be more of a "characters i like" list than a "favourite characters" list (because i really wanna make a list right now), and there's not really anything i can do about that. i'm gonna try to pick the characters i like the most, though, which is about as close as we can get. and the order is gonna be more of the order they pop into my head than a scale of preference
am i being overly pedantic about this? probably
now, onto the list!
#1 mike wheeler
shocking, i know
funny story about this: when i first started acting insane about this character on the internet it wasn't because i liked him more than the others or anything, it was because i realised he was just like... one of the most cognitively and tactically competent characters on the show, which i found really intriguing. and then i realised he had a lot of potential and wanted to see where they were going with it. this is still a lot of what i think about when it comes to mike, because i just find the possibilities so interesting, but i've definitely developed an emotional attachment to him too
like, i get angry on his behalf when other characters start personally attacking him for things that aren't even his fault or refuse to grant him the same sympathy that everyone else gets. that doesn't happen to me a lot. getting angry when people wrong me is how i personally define self love, so like. yeah. i like mike. a lot. i want him to stop being depressed so bad and his arc is so complex and so fascinating and this blog is basically dedicated to figuring out what the hell is going on inside his head at this point
#2 joyce byers
this woman has never been wrong about anything in her life. she's so smart, so charming, so funny. she'd go to hell and back for her family. her flat arc of initially trusting her instincts, briefly doubting her own judgement for like one episode (fuck you, will's dad), and then reverting right back to the state that she's pretty much stayed in ever since, is so satisfying to watch
#3 robin buckley
we have to open on another storytime here: i cannot stand season 3. like, yeah, the overtly annoying heteronormativity (and amatonormativity but nobody talks about that part) and sexism is the point, but my god i cannot sit through it on a rewatch. and i know that because last time i tried watching the show all the way through, i ended up skipping most of this one for the sake of my sanity
EXCEPT for the scenes robin was in
that's truly a glowing recommendation from me. the fact that she single-handedly kept me from just turning off my most loathed season says it all
she's a lot of fun in season 4 too, although her characterisation kind of changes out of nowhere? idk if there's an actual reason for that, but i like to headcanon that it's because she finally has someone she can be herself around (steve), which gave her some level of security to loosen up and stop being so guarded and snippy all the time
she's entertaining, she's smart (which is apparently a big thing for me), she's likable and incredibly easy to root for, she inexplicably survived the "relatable new character who's killed off in the same season they're introduced" curse, and she hasn't been around long enough to get stale, even with the sudden personality shift that a lot of characters have been subject to at one point or another cough season 3 hopper cough
#4 max mayfield
i don't really know what to say for this one. i just like max. she's consistently good in every season she appears, when she's frustrating it's in an intentional, understandable way that makes sense for her character without making her unlikable, her individual relationships with the party are all so fun and engaging to watch, and she's the centrepiece of possibly the best scene in the show (which made me cry)
#5 steve harrington
honestly, this one's self explanatory. we all love steve. you don't need me to tell you why we love steve
i have a lot of issues with the way he's written in canon, like how obstinate they're being that he's worthless without a love interest instead of just leaning into the much more interesting direction of his friendships with robin and the kids, but the fact that i'm willing to fight them over custody of his storylines just goes to show how well they got me to care in the first place
anyway. this is the enjoying things post, so i'm gonna stop complaining now
he completely won over an audience that mostly hated him after season 1 like it was the easiest thing in the world, which is honestly just really impressive. he's so much fun to watch, he's got a cool spiked bat, his best friends are a 15 year old and a lesbian he used to have a crush on, he's working cringefail job after cringefail job because he has no idea what to do with his life (relatable). what more could you ask for?
thanks so much for the ask, anon! hopefully you don't mind that i answered it in essay format, apparently i just had a lot to say :)

hiii ily,
this might be quite long so sorry about that :/
theres a pretty lady i’ve known a very long time who i am very much in love with. i feel as though we’re bound by that in a way, she knows i love her without me having to tell her and i know she loves me. ig the bond that we have isn’t enough tho since we’ve tried several times before and it never ends up working out for us. she mostly blames it on herself and her ‘self sabotaging tendencies’ but there’s been times where i’ve been so horrible and so obviously at fault and it’s almost as if we start off beautifully but we both become almost chaotic and end up splitting again.
we’ve spent a lot of time apart and as of right now i feel as tho we’ve both matured a lot and my love for her is just as strong if not stronger than before. we talk less but it’s almost as if we don’t need to, whenever we do however we always clarify and honour the love we still have for each other even tho we’re separate. i really do believe in a relationship with her and i’m not close to giving up on that but my problem is that i’m worried that she struggles focusing on someone long term in general.
we mostly stay out of each others way now, checking up every once in a while. she has a boyfriend now too which doesn’t bother me in itself but he’s sort of the object of the issue. i don’t mean to sound cocky but i know that i could take her back whenever i wanted, boyfriend or not. that’s where the problem arises tho because they’ve only been together around 2 weeks and in that time alone she’s flirted with me and mentioned (not directly to me) that she’d ‘literally die for me’ and hates that she sabotaged our relationship calling herself insane for doing it :( .
as i’ve mentioned i do see a future with her. i love her and i want her and i guess i’m selfish in the sense that if we were guaranteed to last, i wouldn’t have any problems taking her away from her boyfriend at all. the only reason i’m reluctant is because i feel like if she can’t focus on her current man for 2 weeks without running back to me at 4 in the morning, then she’s not ready for something long term and i’d hate for us to go through the effort of getting back together just for it to end in a couple weeks. i really feel torn because i want her to myself but i see no longevity in us. i think if tried to focus on the person she’s wit now it’d prove to me that it’s possible for us to have something long term. we’ve had a connection ever since we met and i feel so drawn to her. she’s a real angel to me and i wish her sm peace and happiness regardless of our circumstances. i really need a new perspective. tysm for reading this and giving advice if u do <3
oh and btw she shares ur first name <3
lots of love <333
A DOOMED LOVE STORY.
Idk taking her from her man is just an ego / pride move n a terrible way to get back into the relationship. Based on what you’ve told me , i think y’all are both confused on what you actually want from each other and what to do with the feelings you have for one another. the space is good for now and actually maybe there should be even MORE SPACE. Her Reachin out at 4am is not a good thing cause she’s creepin and even though to you that’s a sign you can “take her” it’s also evidence of the overlying problem, COMMITMENT!
If y’all both cannot commitment 100% it’s never gon be right.
Commitment takes trust, faith, love , discipline, loyalty and a lot of self reflection.
It feels weird to let go of someone so familiar they felt like home. You get to reminiscing bout old good times n wishing you could do it all over again but the reality is it cannot work with the way things are. People never change, they do grow and mature but people do not change their ways and who they are at their core.
idk im still trynna figure out my own situation and this made me cry. Reiterating what i said, there’s a difference yearning for the love once shared and missing someone you’re too afraid to let go of but you don’t really want cause then you’re actually alone.
Let her go fr n if y’all are meant it will be.
ily2 n i wish you the best, focus on u fr build ur dream life in the meantime
ARIEL WHEREEVRR U ARE U BETTER GET RIGHT N REALIZE WHAT U WANT AND WHAT YOU DESERVE. YOU ARE WORTH THE BEST!

Anon wrote: First of all, happy holidays! I hope that you can spend them with the people precious to you and can rest your energies for next year.
Okay, so this is a bit about communication issues with my parents. I have autism with sensory hypersensitivity in general, specifically misophonia. Loud noises (especially high-pitched ones) REALLY hurt my ears. The problem is that both my parents have a tendency to scream without warning whenever something displeases them in a conversation.
My father talks really loudly normally (I think he has hearing loss) and when he gets excited, he shouts your ear off. He's like that all the time and I really like him, so the best I can do is just stand a bit far away when he's talking since he gets really angry and offended when you ask him to tone down a bit.
My mother talks at a reasonable volume, but every time she gets angry at something you say (she perceives everything as a personal attack and doesn't really get that I'm autistic and what it truly entails. To her, it's a limiting label I can overcome with enough will), she will scream at you out of the blue. I ask her to tone down because it hurts and I'm listening just fine, sometimes she will, most of them she'll just accuse me of making her angry in purpose, say I use the "wrong" words (I have no idea what she means and when I ask her to clarify, she says "I should know" as if I'm neurotypical, but go off, I guess lol) or start getting even angrier. I'm not accusing her of anything, I'm just calmly asking her to speak a little less loudly because it hurts when she talks like that and that I'm listening just fine.
I spent a time living by myself at uni, so I got used to them not screaming my ear anymore, so now that I'll spend the holidays at home, it's truly an issue. I suspect my mother has some type of personality disorder because if she perceives any sort of "accusation" in what you're saying, she'll berate at you. I'm not saying anything bad for her to flip off like that. It happens with my father as well, but he'll just scream back at her and it'll become unbearable to be around them at those times.
Do you have any suggestions on how can I talk to them a bit to minimize this issue? It truly hurts, so it's not something I can just pretend it's fine, when you're in physical pain, it becomes unbearable to pretend it's not that, but I really like them and want to be around them. Thanks, have a nice xmas
-------------------
I wish you happy holidays as well, though it may be a challenge. Your parents sound like... quite the characters. As a general rule of thumb, when you are faced with a situation that cannot be changed or people who will never change, most of your options fall into three categories: accept, adapt, or avoid.
I relate to your pain. I also can't physically tolerate shouting and screaming. I'm not autistic but I have immense sensitivity to certain loud noises, to the point where it feels like my brain melts and I will collapse. For example, when I'm working on my car and I have to turn on the shop-vac, the noise of that thing just punctures a big hole in my being. Others just deal with it and can't understand why it's debilitating for me. Some sufferers try a kind of graduated exposure therapy, where they expose themselves to louder and louder noises to gradually get used to them, but it hasn't worked for me.
Since I can't change my physical sensitivity and I can't always change the sound environment, I keep a set of earplugs handy whenever it's likely I'll be subjected to very loud noises. I found some discreet looking ones and I sometimes use hat/hair to cover them up as needed, but people are usually understanding once I explain the problem. I learned to adjust them into a position where I can still hear what people say while volume is reduced.
I'm not saying this is an ideal solution or that it will work for you. I'm only saying that practical problems need practical solutions, so you have to be creative and find a way to adapt.

Michael Oku (c) vs. Will Ospreay (RevPro High Stakes: Ospreay vs. Oku)
Everything in life is a double-edged sword.
Tumblr media
This last year I have been facing several dilemmas. One is mainly my perception of Will Ospreay as a professional wrestler in comparison with some of my favorites today and some of those who Ospreay wields as inspirations for his style. It's something I have found myself repeating in my head as 2024 puts him in the spotlight.
It's no secret that Ospreay is one wrestler that I don't enjoy as much as other people do, and I don't consider him the best wrestler in the world for these things that I will point out in this review. I feel forced to clarify this because I have seen many people blatantly hate Ospreay's matches without any real argument.
This is not it, and it will never be like the posts you'll see on Twitter from "realuser105" saying Will is killing the business. With that being said, I shall start this review by talking about one of the things Ospreay is doing in the wrestling scene right now.
When you discuss wrestlers that have been influential to generations and generations many names come to mind, such as Chigusa Nagayo, Jaguar Yokota, Bret Hart, Mitsuharu Misawa, Manami Toyota, Hayabusa, AJ Styles, and Naomichi Marufuji.
The thing with all these wrestlers is that some can't be denied. People always get on your nerves when you say that you don't think Kurt Angle is *that* good but forget to note you're still acknowledging the guy for what he has been able to do.
I think the same happens with Ospreay. I can't deny that his last run as a professional wrestler has inevitably shaken the foundation of the sport, making people realize what wrestling could be in the hands of an athletic beast like him.
Even as a heavyweight, Ospreay is the perfect pro-wrestler and people love to see him because he's perfect. The thing is wrestling has taught us that sometimes perfect does not mean good, and Ospreay to me is ironically, the perfect example for that sentence.
A friend of mine criticized Ospreay and talked about his refusal of any sign of vulnerability. She emphasized Ospreay's ridiculous no-selling that has been wrongly called "Fighting Spirit" in a Lio Rush-esque form that I never thought would go this far.
And for everything worth, that simple idea of vulnerability is what makes me angry watching these bouts, because when you analyze them there's nothing really wrong with how Ospreay does his work on the surface.
But when you start picking up pieces of his matches and analyze them separately you'll find that the amount of things Ospreay does all amount to nothing in the match. It's not just an insane quantity of moves and strikes, but also his selling that never, ever, gets to a point where you can say he's really damaged.
More so if the guy just stands up after a top-rope hurricanrana like nothing ever happened. These are common critiques of Ospreay's style and all have their value because they always offer something new to the discussion. Even if he tries to sell you his style as reckless and tough, it's easy to note there's not a real feeling of danger nor urgency whenever you watch one of his matches.
Here's the deal though: with everything I just wrote about Ospreay, criticizing every aspect of what constitutes his philosophy and understanding of the sport known as pro wrestling, the most heartbreaking conclusion I can give to this 400-so words rant about the state of professional wrestling is that...he's not the worst wrestler in his generation, and that's something to think about.
I have seen a fair share of Michael Oku's work these last few years. I have never found a wrestler that left me so indifferent as Oku. There's nothing of value in Oku's way of doing pro wrestling, and there's less value in the British scene advocating for this style of wrestling (heavily influenced by Ospreay) because they just want to be in the eye of the storm all the time.
Because yes, this is a match from RevPro in 2024, and from what I have seen it's almost like the company never moved on from the super-indy style found in the 2010s because their production is exactly like it was 10 years ago. But if I were to discuss that aspect of this match, I shall start naming companies that look like shit and I shouldn't be doing it.
But into the match, it's awesome and awful at the same time how a wrestler like Ospreay becomes way worse when sharing a ring with a wrestler like Oku. It's ironic considering Oku's style draws from Ospreay's, like, you have to be compromised to be this bad on purpose. I'm not even gonna discuss the outrageous use of no-selling in this one because, surprise, this is a rematch of their infamous bout in 2022 which also had people saying it was the best match they have ever seen in their entire life and it was also the same.
What I do wanna discuss is how the entire "lore" of this match just gets wiped out because this is the last time British fans are going to see Ospreay in RevPro and of course, he gets the flashy entrance and the support from the crowd who *should* hate him with their guts but can't because in their perception Ospreay is the good guy because he wrestles like a god.
Oku on the other hand is found in this weird limbo of not being good enough to be a credible face or a good heel, because he doesn't have the mental bandwidth to read the room and understand that MAYBE he should start being more aggressive and less flashy with his offense. I don't blame him, Ospreay also does this, but he's imprisoned by the perspective of the crowd.
It's almost like being this cool to them doesn't allow him to be less cool and make the other guy shine. It's like a sword he has and wields with pride but ends up cutting him and making him bleed. What makes me really mad about this whole ordeal is the commentary. I have never heard a pair of commentators so incredibly annoying as these two.
One plays the good guy and the other plays the bad guy. Both are equally awful. While one can't stop awkwardly dickriding Ospreay, the other can't stop doing it with Oku and even hypes up a Quebrada Moonsault by stating "Have you ever seen something like this before?" and yes, I have, and I'm sure I've seen it in the same show.
There's an air of superiority coming from RevPro in this because they proudly state they're unique and one of the best promotions in the world when in reality they're as small as a cockroach and have nothing to make them standout from the rest of the promotions.
They want to feel included in this match, because this has to be about British wrestling, and it is. But just like British wrestling coming out from Speaking Out, this match stands out just because there are a lot of skeletons hidden in the closet and a lot of things that simply don't add up. This, even if you don't think it will harm the atmosphere of the match does it in a way that I can't stand whatever's happening on my screen without some British guy screaming and hyping a move I've seen 4 times in 5 minutes.
The last minutes of this match are torture. Not because they're bad but because they never end. You know, when you come to a match like this and you see the names on it you say "Oh, alright, it's going to be one of these" and you practically prepare for the demise. You expect what you're going to see, and you know it's going to be awful but somehow makes the match less unbearable.
Then, the match DOESN'T end and you start getting mad because you feel like you're wasting your time watching a finishing stretch that just like the rest of the whole thing amounts to nothing more than cheap pops and Oku screaming to your face "Look at me, I'm kicking out of the Stormbreaker, cheer for me!" and you start questioning whether Oku is the good guy, the bad guy, or inherently awful at pro wrestling, therefore, it doesn't make a difference.
This match doesn't make a difference. It attempts to be perfect, yet its imperfections are all over the place. More so if you have people advocating for your style and claiming "This is the best wrestling match you'll ever see in your life", cooperating with this complicity and this acceptance of mediocrity. This match is not good, and it represents the state of wrestling in 2024. When you think there's nothing worse than Will Ospreay, Michael Oku appears.

I thought I’d talk about the girlfriend thing from my last thing I since the mom thing is going to be a whole thing lol
So where it came from was I had a thought that he would try to find himself being a bit confused if you will only because he knew he was close to Sunil but wasn’t sure of his feelings in general but he also would try to not rule out women basically trying to stay open in the beginning to anything.
!Trigger warning! Just in case I hope you’re ok with this I know it’s a bit much!!
He met her at a coffee shop.. she was nice enough.. he struck up a conversation with her because he’s friendly.. he thought she was nice..pretty..maybe she could be what he was looking for? He still wasn’t sure of his feelings in all honesty..he didn’t feel anything but she did.. so he asked her out thinking that maybe it took time.. it was going well at first a few laughs.. a few dates then she started getting a big pushy.. a bit mean.. take me here.. she wants the best restaurants..she wants expensive gifts! ok so she likes the finer things that’s ok!..then the accusations he’s cheating.. he talks to Sunil to much.. she isolates him more and more..he tries to object and talk it though.. she doesn’t like that.. a slap! a punch! he has to listen or it happens again and again so he’ll learn right? Then comes the intimacy whenever she wants with whoever she wants.. but it’s not cheating she tells him! he wants to leave.. break up.. but it’s hard..it’s scary.. she has so much control.. he can’t.. he’s stuck, he’d scared,he’s bruised,he’s mentally drained.. he’s rethinking everything he cries much more then he would care to admit.. but he hides it well..he doesn’t want to worry anyone everything this is normal right? It’s how he was raised with parents who taught him that this was normal.. BUT there’s one man who showed him that it’s NOT ..Sunil.. who knew that Vinnie wasn’t acting right wasn’t himself..who didn’t buy the act, who was suspicious from day one! the gut feeling he had was strong this time he knew what he had to do..
Sunil comes over unannounced with all of the rest of his friends behind him and confronts her.. a lot of screaming and arguing and some police assistance later she was arrested..
Vinnie stayed with friends..he’s safe.. but being alone again was hard.. but what was harder was fighting everything mentally all over again.. memories came back from his past.. were all women like this? Everyone outside of his circle couldn’t really be trusted right away especially ..women…
But men.. the one man he could trust was still there like he always had been he was still there.. his comfort, his best friend, his everything sunil.. and rusty he knew he would always be there to he explain everything to him they got along great.. shivers was so fun to hang with and play video games.. and Esteban helped him learn how to dance in a whole new way being at his dance studio was one of the best things ever!
So maybe one day he’d try again but he was fairly certain that men were the direction he’d probably be leaning toward.. but a few other things down the line in his life would definitely confirm that for him.
I would like to clarify that not all women are like this! and yes he shouldn’t let one bad experience ruin it for him. But mentally it would take time to heal from all the bad experiences some women in his life had put him through including his parents (which will be explained in another post) in The back of his mind he knew that men were what he was leaning towards in the first place but didn’t want to limit himself it doesn’t mean that strangers are scary either he still doesn’t mind being around women or trying to befriend, work with or talk to them! He just wouldn’t date them It just time but he will heal and continue to grow!
Let me know if you’re still interested in the mom’s thing!
(Added after writing it all: just wanted to say that I have barely checked this whole thing for typos etc because it's long and for once I'm not willing to go through all of it to check it because I want to post it as quickly as possible. Just a heads up and I'm sorry :') )
Okay okay so you know already how much I love everything about it, I love when my son's in pain!! I want to say sooo much but there's so much text (which I looove) I just don't know how much I will be able to do, I will try though.
Oh yeah, here and now I tell you that I of course appreciate the trigger warning, plus someone else might need it, but seriously, I don't think there's anything that I personally would need trigger warning for :3 I love everything and anything containing mental/physical/both anguish, it's not too much at all.
I really like that Vinnie's fine with her liking "the finer things" like in general, look how nice he is! Though of course in this particular case it was not okay at all :'). Also I thing we should give her a name so I don't call her per "she" or "girl" all the time. I will call her hmmmm Violet. Yeah, she's that. Such a nice name for such a vile girl...
Ok ok so I can just imagine the look of shock on Vinnie's face the first time she slapped him. I imagine he barely registered the pain because, sure she was pushy and mean to him sometimes, but he did not expect anything physical at all. So he was just left standing there, rooted to the ground as he tried to process what just happened, with a red mark quickly appearing on his face. Oh I love when he's in pain.
And that line "He has to listen or it happens again and again so he’ll learn right?". Like, damn this is so cruel from Violet. Because he would never raise his hand at her, of course he wouldn't! But he thinks it's somewhat alright if he's the one doing it to him... After all, he's the man, he can take it, right? After all, what's a single slap or punch? it's not that bad... At first it really isn't, but of course later it becomes much worse. The thing is he has an easy explanation, it's not like he will tell his girlfriend is hitting him, of course he won't... it just happened a few times, no big deal... And that explanation is his clumsiness, he can just say that he tripped. the thing is, I think at first no one would even question him if they noticed, Vinnie is always covered with bruises, nothing new. Until it starts happening a little too often. Besides, marks and bruises on his face of all places? That's not something he usually bruised when falling over.
I know this a hypothetical scenario, but I can't help but wonder if Violet at the beginning genuinely loved him or was otherwise genuinely, positively interested in him or was she like that from the very beginning.
And then there's the part of him wanting to break up but being unable to, a masterpiece! You know, you actually descirbed it pretty accurately to how it works in real life. In real life people having abusive partners (on top of other reasons of course) don't break up because of safety reasons. Sounds paradoxical, doesn't it? But no, not exactly. Safety is in predactibility. So even if a partner is abusive, at least the one their abusing often knows what to expect from them. Yeah, it hurts, but it's something they know, and something you know=something your brain deems as safe (even if it's really not). And so I imagine this is the kind of vicious cycle Vinnie would feel himself trapped in (again, on top of everything else).
Ah, my whump loving self actually adores it! He's bruised, good good, I can just imagine his battered body, and not only face of course because that's why too visible. I can just imagine he would because of it move a bit more stiffly, he wouldn't dance because it simply hurts that much to move at all, especially when doing all those bendy things while dancing, it's just a big no-no.
And he's mentally drained, even better! Oh, the spark gradually disappearing in his eyes, how did he get to be like that again? Everything was alright not so long ago, was it his fault? Did he really deserve it? Something tells him he did, otherwise Violet wouldn't treat him like that, right? And she wouldn't cheat on him if he was just a little better overall. He can change... it shouldn't be that hard, should it? She's a nice girl after all...
Plus the bit of him thinking that this is all normal. I. Love. It!! I know I know, I said it multiple times already, but I just really love when he suffers. And his parents taught him this was normal? Oh my, perfect! Poor Vinnie I mean, but damn.
Just... Vinnie gradually being more and more broken while being with Violet. He just... falls apart step by step, at the same time of course trying to act like nothing bad is going on with him, because he's Vinnie, he can take it, it's not that bad (it is), plus it's normal, right? I just *squeals* I can see that so much, the gradual change. His hair being messy, bags under his eyes, just tired lines on his face from crying. And then looking like he's always out of it because he barely sleeps, or he pumps so much caffeine into himself that's he's left trembling but at least awake. He stops doing everything that brought him happiness before because it just doesn't anymore because he's constantly thinking about things with Violet and all that. I just aaah. He's so pretty when he suffers <3 which just makes me love Violet but also despise her so much.
Anyway, so yeah, Sunil can tell. But wait!!! What if, you know Sunil has those visions of his right? So what if aside from gut feeling, the first day or so when Vinnie got with Violet Sunil had some vision about Violet abusing Vinnie, but at first was very confused and not willing to trust it because quite frankly, what the hell. Needles to say though it wasn't wrong.
Now going to that next bit with everyone coming over, I can't help but imagine they did while she was beating the absolute shit out of Vinnie like she often did, because he, in her opinion, did something wrong. There's some blood too, maybe from his nose or something. And during the whole confrontation bit and also police I can just imagine he's so fucking torn. Because everyone's just talking to him so much and there's so much "Vinnie!" "Vinnie!" and some more "Vinnie!" and he just... doesn't know. On one hand there are his friends and he would kill for them, but then there's Violet who insists he help her, so he just keeps going forward to her, then stopping, going back, because what the hell is he supposed to do??? He's so overwhelmed and he knows logically his friends are right, but he feels forced to be on Violet's side, the whole safety thing I mentioned earlier. Plus, she will beat him up more if he doesn't help her, won't she? ...He has to help her, she's his girlfriend, right? So yeah, just really really torn in two. He has no idea who he's supposed to listen to and he's so overstimulated, all this fighting, all this screaming, especially in his head.
But then it ends, she's... gone? Police? He barely knows what happened. But it's suddenly so quiet. So calm? He's not sure. Wasn't he in pain? If he's safe now and if it was the right thing to do then why does he feel so empty?
And this line "were all women like this?" I just feel his pain so much, with all the pain he endured I can blame him, first his mom/s (in my and yours headcanons :3) and then his girlfriend? I can just imagine this disapointment, because he doesn't want to, but he can see the pattern. And the this "Everyone outside of his circle couldn’t really be trusted right away especially ..women…". Oh hells yeah, this is so raw. Yes yes he doesn't trust anyone outside of it! It's just soooo mwah! Perfection. I don't know what else to add here, but I do love me a Vinnie with trust issues. What can I say, he definitely has anxious (sometimes called ambivalent) attachment style, trust me😀👍.
So yeah, I soooo understand your headcanon about him with men versus women now and I love it. And the stuff with Sunil, Russell, Shivers (even though I think he would be pissed at him a bit due to that whole living with him at one point headcanon of yours haha) and Esteban. God, I love me some Vinnie and Esteban stuff.
But of course he still love their girls!!! Of course he does, they can be (mostly) trusted, but as you said, anyone outside this circle? Hmm not so much, he's much more apprehensive. And Sunil... ah, his everything!
Yes yes, of course not all girls are like this, obviously! And while this is technically "just" one experience, oh I would love if it did ruin it for him :3. I mean, it was pretty damn traumatic, and I just love to think he's way more affected than it shows. I'm personally in the boat of no forgivness for certain people, and she's definitely one of those people that if it were me I would not forgive in the slightest, and like if it was mt friend or something I would also think that. Look, some people just don't deserve forgivness if you ask me, there are plenty of people that if they came crawling to me with apologies I would happily make them dig their own grave and then shoot in the head so they fall to said grave. It's not that hard not to ba a total asshole especially for prolonged periods of time, you know?
Like, people so often say that if a teenager did something really bad they scrutanize it, yes, but often add "they were just stupid teenagers, and we all did something stupid when we were teenagers". Like, no??? It's not that hard to be a decent human being. I don't care if you're a shit girlfriend while you're 14, 25 or 65, you're still a shithead. Okay okay, I sidetracked.
Something else? I mean, I could talk about it for hours, but I think that's all [short version lol]. As you already know I would love to see the thing about his parents so much, feel free to drag him through as much pain as you want, I'm completely willing to see him like that :3.
Also, I know the whole healing part and all and that it's good. But I would just love if he didn't heal. Pain and suffering forever!!! There's so much emphasis on healing in today's world, which is good of course, especially in real life, duh! But my fav fictional characters? I would just love if they didn't heal. Character development/growth? Hate her more often then not, I don't want my blorbos to heal damn it, I want them to be in pain and he's no different.
Damn it, why did I have to give her the best name possible, I could have just named her Kunegunda (it's an old Polish name and it sounds really funny), it would have been so much easier.
