can't stop thinking about winter kisses with levi.

like imagine how rosy his cheeks would be, the slight hint of red on the tip of his nose, and how your exhales would be visible in the cold winter air.

how warm and soft his lips would feel when compared to how cold it was outside. you'd both be bundled up, feeling warm and cozy despite the weather around you, just by being next to each other, and especially once he pulled you in and planted his lips against yours.

the whiteness of the snow would contrast with his raven black hair, and his eyes would have a hint of softness to them that indicated affection instead of the tired and passively irritated look that usually accompanies his gaze.

levi's never a fan of pda so kissing outside was a rare occurrence, and when it did occur, it was fleeting at best. however, your time outside during winter was different, although this was at least partially due to the fact that there were less people outside in general.

but a larger part was just how warm you felt both internally and externally when you felt his soft lips gently pressing up against yours, with his hands cupping your cheeks as he held you close.

So there was a post a while back about Ben Solo always being told "don't do (x), that's how uncle luke lost his hand" when he was a kid - and I raise you: Elrond and Elros being told "don't do (x), that's how Maedhros lost his hand"??

Like, at Amon Ereb when the twins were newly acquired and refusing to eat their vegetables and Maglor is Mag-mothering them until Erestor, feral half-sane clinically depressed anarchist Avari hostage/patient/infiltrator and Certified Little Shit, hits em with:

"I would listen to the Lord Maglor, winyamor, he well knows the dangers that come to young elflings who don't eat enough vegetables - after all, that's how his brother lost his hand."

Elrond looks conflicted. Elros squints suspiciously. "Truly?"

Erestor, practically comatose since the massacre but ultimately saved from Fading by the biological compulsion to fuck with you, lays a hand over his heart. "I would never lie about such a thing! Just what do you take me for? This is a true tale and a grave warning - the Lord Maedhros' hand was tragically lost in the days of his youth, whilst he was still growing as you are. He refused to eat his vegetables and so, cruelly deprived of the strength it needed to grow strong, his body started to fall apart! First his fingers, then his thumb, and then his palm and wrist - all turned blue and dropped off!"

"No!" Elrond gasps. Elros looks both terrified and impressed. Maglor's face is scrunched up into something that the twins probably interpret as pained - at reminder of the horrors of limbs falling off! - but is actually just him busting a rib trying not to laugh.

"Yes!" Erestor cries with relish. "And it never grew back. All because he didn't eat his vegetables. Isn't that right, Lord Maedhros?"

Maedhros, a looming terror at the head of the table, scarred and solemn and impenetrable as his fortresses, narrows his eyes consideringly at the unfolding shenanigans and the rascal behind it. His conclusion? Fuck it. He gives a slow, solemn nod. Completely deadpan and exaggeratedly formal, because it may have been centuries since he last had his brothers smothering laughter at political dinners but the Finwëan sense of humour, once caught, is not an ailment easily cured.

Maglor conceals his wheezes behind his goblet as Erestor nods sagely to the wide-eyed twins, who suddenly seem a sight more interested in their vegetables.

I think it's perfectly reasonable for Halsin to be adamantly against being in the same camp as Minthara. God forbid a man who had a horrible experience with drow in the past (and still doesn't project it on all other drow, which is pretty telling given how being wary of drow is acceptable in Faerun) not to be able to trust someone who imprisoned him, tortured him and was very vocal on invading his home and killing his entire family.

So no, Halsin isn't "ruined" by that development. He has his boundaries too. When it's only he who is attacked physically or emotionally, he may brush it off and endure. But when it's people he feels responsible for, he won't back down.

Kind people aren't all-forgiving. They have their limits - and having the lives of people they care about threatened by an invader is such a limit.

So firstly, no one ever did that to Levi. No one dared to touch him, one glare was enough to keep people out of his personal space. Sure Mike, Erwin and Nana sometimes threw him into a hug or two, ruffled his hair but that was all. He'd push them away at that as well.

But out of nowhere this underground thug, this crazy woman, who's somehow not only an equal rival to his skills but also annoys the living shit out of him, comes down upon him like a hurricane. They're fighting each other, prepared to kill, ready to rip the other's throat out and-

She corners his against a damn wall and KISSES HIM??!!

What--where--how did this happen?!! Levi's brain short circuits, system error, he cannot grasp what has happened. This was not the plan. Wasn't she about to kill him, how did this happen?

But a part of him actually thinks the kiss isn't that bad - which is high praise coming from Levi btw - her lips are a bit dry but they're warm and soft and it feels. . . good?

NO WAIT!

Why is he thinking that??! What's wrong with him? And he pushes her away, much too harshly cuz he's rattled and shocked and there's a minute where he can't think straight so he simply lunges at her and attacks again. Furious that she caught him off guard like that. No one had ever caught Levi off guard.

Their fight is over, the crazy woman agrees to join the Scouts.

Hange Zoe.

That's her name. And it reeks of trouble, which Levi wants to avoid at all costs.

Days pass, he most certainly does not watch her from the corner of his eye while she's training with her gang. He does not think of that kiss over and over again and he most certainly is not curious about Hange Zoe.

Even though it's clear she wants to kill him. He's not interested to know more about her. Nope, not at all. (lol who's he kidding?)

He wonders if that kiss meant something or not.

what strikes me about some anti-sylki takes is that someone comes up with a Problematic Interpretation that makes no fucking sense and then they go around the internet recruiting people who don't really agree with them but will go along with it because just not liking a pairing isn't good enough anymore (idk what that's about), and then within a few months you run into someone in another fandom saying "but i heard that pairing promotes the very common and not just made up from fuck-all idea that bisexuals only want to fuck themselves and also that it supports footbinding because the woman one has smaller feet than the man version of the character, how can you defend something like that?"

and i just can't get any further with a response to that than "what the fuck," because really what the fuck?

:A door opens and Susie rushes out: :It shuts behind her, then shakes with a thud: :Eyes downcast, she murmurs to herself:

Susie: "...What is that machine thinking...? Why would the Mother Computer...ask for something that awful to be...?"

:She finally sees Kirby is here and puts her business face back on:

Susie: "Ahem! You're back! And you've found our secret lab."

:The door bangs again, interrupting her: :There is another piercing dual scream:  :Susie flinches at the sound and begins shaking:

[BOSS: NULL v0.3] - Pause Screen

Of all the biological data the Haltmann Works Company unearthed from this planet, the Mother Computer seemed especially interested in this. However, it found it could not fully analyze it to its satisfaction due to the "unknown bond" sustaining the creature's core. It would ultimately deem the project a failure.

[IE: Star Dream is trying to understand Zero for its own purposes but cannot and could never understand the deep "love" that ultimately brought about Zero Three; just like it could not understand Haltmann's love and would delete it]

[BOSS: NULL v0.3 EX] - Pause Screen

Though Susie always tried to follow the mother computer's directives faithfully, she deeply questioned this particular project. When the directive came to "use" the creature in spite of the unhappy children's souls inside, it strengthened her conviction that Star Dream had to be separated from her father.

[In EX form, the sibling-goo is dark matter black instead of snowflake white; Noir's wing is blood red instead of corruption purple; their eyes remain the same]

NULL v0.3 plays out as a very unusual boss fight. It is somewhat timed, because v0.3 will damage itself with its "attacks," thrashing about. And if you leave it alone for long enough, it will kill itself. Or you can defeat it with regular copy abilities. Both of these lead to the "normal" boss fight ending, where v0.3 rips itself apart, both sides screaming as the white bodies melt away into nothing. 

However, like in Super Star, this boss will provide you with special, unique battle-limited Copy Abilities if you inhale the right attacks from it: "Dark Sword" and "Light Painter."

Attacking the "swordsman" side of v0.3 with the Dark Sword ability will make it attack you more aggressively. However, if you try to turn Dark Sword ability on the "painter" side, you will be met with a vicious, un-blockable counterattack from the swordsman side that will knock the ability out of you and cause it to swap sides again.

If you try to use Light Painter on the swordsman side, it will cower away in the background, ...guiltily... keeping its distance, however you can lure the painter side closer to you and reduce its aggression levels again by attacking the painter side with Light Painter.

If you succeed in the task of defeating v0.3 with proper use of the two copy abilities, you are rewarded with a different end fight cutscene, where the white body coalesces into a giant sphere once more before melting away, revealing Adeleine and Noir, looking as they did before, who then dissipate peacefully into sparkles...
