So my school has a rival school where every year all the “girls” sports play each other!

And for fun our school does a little dance competition for our teams!

We do it on stage in our auditorium with a song (PG/Radio edited) of our choosing per team and with costumes and everything.

My team chose to do Power by Justin Bieber and since we couldn’t do anything with lights this year have blackout suits and glow sticks.

It was a disaster and we didn’t win but it was really funny.

hearing about other people's school lives makes me feel insane because what we never did stuff like that. the best we had were talent shows. sometimes they went hard. never participated though. due to being the awkward shy weird kid that only talked to like 4 people. i always had like daydreams about it but i would never go on stage.

still that sounds like a lot of fun!!!! im glad you had a good time and im glad you didnt get put in a cult or some shit. you had me worried there JKHMSDFJBMASHDBMASF

honestly even being a little older and listening to teenage dream by olivia i feel less of the angst i would’ve even a year ago. i know she literally says that people say it gets better but like what if you don’t? and truly, truly, it does. i’m not even 21 yet. i don’t feel nearly as much angst ab getting older and all of that shit and i truly do want to be alive even tho it’s hard and the world sucks shit. seeing people even older than me saying things ab how 30’s are better and stuff is also encouraging lol. if ur a teenager i promise u won’t always feel like this and even if u aren’t a teen (but esp if u are)

i don’t know about you guys but the main reason i am still on tumblr in 2024 is BECAUSE it is the most cloutless least influential social media app out there and that is the experience i am after. absolutely none of this will ever translate into significant attention or real success in my life and that is so beautiful.

Someone at an old job asked why I wanted to write up the meeting minutes for our team and I said 'i wanna control the narrative' and they were like 'what' and I pointed out that no one was gonna remember what we said in six months and so my interpretation of the meeting would dictate the assumed reality of what happened

"none of you ever send corrections when I offer the draft so y'all have consented to my version"

That's how several coworkers decided I was a supervillain and how I learned several coworkers didn't understand record keeping as like a CONCEPT
