I think the aftermath of Ring of Felagund has huge potential. I can see a story there. A deep and nuanced story about two imperfect people working through their own and shared grief and guilt. Taking responsibility. Being accountable. Forgiving themselves and each other. Healing together. Getting to actually know each other. And slowly, gently growing into love.
